Elumind Centres For Brain Excellence: what do users think?
Flora Hashemi: Unfortunately I'm very disappointed with this center and their products and sessions. My fiancé and father both did more than 120 sessions (my dad was recommended 40 to see results) and none of them saw results or any improvements. My dad's sleeping actually got way worse. So so so disappointed, Elumind you can do better than to chase people for their money. This is an unethical practice I'm sorry.
PEI-CHENG, ZORA SUNG: they do not follow up with their patient. all the patients went are struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD.. but even I call back to ask a follow up of my session, they never get back to me. And it’s been months already. Maybe is because I said I don’t have money right now? even I do say I’ll be able to do it later on this year.Very not respectful to their patients.Update:They follow up with me and gave me my diagnosis letter after a month. They said because I said I would like to do my treatment later of the year, so they want to give us some space, not giving pressure by pushing it.
Elizabeth MacKinnon: I came to this office very skeptical indeed. I read all the treatments they provided and like most things in this world, I felt it was too good to be true. I suffered deep depression and insomnia and the worst case of PTS that you could imagine. For the first time in my life I felt cared for in a very safe environment. Within a month I slept without sleeping pills and slowly I got back my sense of peace. When summer came I took a short break from treatments and I realized I missed the unbelievable staff that worked there. Dr Edalati is the most kindest, sincere doctor you have ever met. He is also a specialist in nutrition and gave me a lot of help. From the minute I walked in their officeThey helped not only me, but my entire family. The bottom line I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone.“It is health that is the real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver”.-Mahatma Gandhi
mary dorson: Five months before starting my healing journey at Elumind I had a sudden mental health crisis. I was having PTSD-like symptoms and was unable to sleep without sleeping medication. I had never felt so sick in my life and it was the scariest thing to go through. I started doing neurofeedback at another place in Vancouver with a medical doctor who charges $350 per one hour session, but my healing was going too slow. After 20 sessions with him I realized that at this rate, I would go bankrupt. I decided to try Elumind in North Vancouver seeing how their technology was more advanced. Since technicians carried out the protocol (created by and under supervision of a medical doctor) the price was also much more reasonable. I saw a significant boost in my healing with every 5-10 sessions. Going with Elumind was the best decision and the best investment in myself. I did about 90 sessions in total and felt fully supported by the staff and Dr Edalati who called me a few times while he was on vacation to check on me. I have a masters degree in chemistry and it was hard for me to accept neurofeedback at first, thinking it was a scam. In my case though, I had no other choice but to trust the process because I had tried everything else and I was still in crisis mode, unable to work or enjoy life. Neurofeedback at Elumind works and I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't discovered this place. Seeing how far I've come in my healing, my wife became inspired and now she is going through her own healing journey at Elumind.
Atiyeh Sotoudeh: I am sharing my honest personal experience here, and will let it to the readers’ discretion. To be brief, I would not recommend ELUMind, because of the following reasons:1- The specialist prescribed 94 to 100 neurotherapy sessions for my son, without even explaining why. I asked other specialists in the city, and they were all mind-blown after hearing this many sessions had been recommended. Apparently, for the most severe cases, no more than 40 sessions would be necessary or helpful.2- The first session I took my son in, they recommended doing a 2-hr therapy session. I later found out that standard protocols do not recommend sessions longer than 1 hr, as the brain can typically not endure much longer, esp. for a 6-yr-old boy!3- Neither their specialist nor the psychologist attended any of the session even one single session, and all the work was only handled by their technicians, which was very disappointing because, as a client, I chose this centre mainly to be sure a specialist will directly handle all the treatment, or at least will directly supervise everything. Moreover, I could not get the chance of talking to the specialist even one single time. On top of all, there was not one certain technician assigned to my son’s case for the length of the treatment, and ach session was handled by a new technician who would likely not have a good idea of the client’s case.4- IMPORTANT: The technician was handling the treatment sessions of a number of clients at the same time, while my expectation was that the time I was paying for would be assigned exclusively to my son. It was much more than unsatisfactory to see that they were trying to just make more money, rather than addressing the patients’ issues and concerns. During a typical 1-hr session of treatment, the technician would not be present in the treatment room more than 15 mins or so, all spent too hastily for them to be able to catch up with more payers!5- The psychologist did not present a clear or satisfactory explanation of the QEEG results, and just sticked to using the term ‘it is our protocol’ rather than reasoning and helping me understand what the issue was to need 100 therapy sessions!6- IMPORTANT: They would not accommodate, facilitate or assist my presence in the treatment room where my son was being treated, which was very annoying because I DO NOT, neither does any other mom to the best of my knowledge, prefer to leave their 6-yr-old son alone with strangers. Besides, leaving my son alone in the room would probably result in a decrease in the quality of the treatment, since a child may touch, un-tune or dismantle the treatment cap and the wires, or may not follow the procedures such as watching the screen the whole time, etc.7- Some sessions would not be completed the full length of 1 hr that was supposed to be, and all of the sessions ended earlier than what we had agreed upon and I had paid for.8- The prices at this centre are more expensive than almost all other centres in the city (to the best of my knowledge). Specifically, the QEEG at SLUMind costs nearly twice as much as other centres. This is while the QEEG and treatment method there is not the most up-to-date, and the quality of their QEEG can be questioned, and the psychologist failed to provide clear and understandable explanations during the discussions session. To recap, with all due respect and nothing personal, considering all of these weird issues with this centre, I believe 1 star would still be too many for this centre, bringing in mind the service expected from this ‘huge business’ and what they are providing.
Heather Loeffelholz: My experience with Elumind and all of their staff was far beyond exceptional. Every single time I walked through their door with my 2 kids I felt welcomed, special and always safe in the care of everyone I dealt with. Dr. Edalati always gave me the time I needed and I never felt like I was just another client coming through the door. Having such an experience of great personalized care wouldn't have mattered if I didn't feel that the actual treatment had an impact. The changes I saw in both of my kids and myself was remarkable. This was the best gift I could have ever given them.
Kelly Aldinger: I was beyond disappointed with Elumind. First, they force you to get a brain map, which costs close to $1000, and then provide a report that is generic and completely incomprehensible. The individual who walked me through my report rushed me through and when I asked any questions he responded with "you need to get neurofeedback" - which they quoted me a cost of $14K. Meaning I paid $1000 for absolutely nothing beyond a report that is of zero value. Second, beware of their counsellors. I was recommended sessions (twice what you pay elsewhere) with one counsellor who consistently pushed religion on me, despite me saying multiple times that it made me uncomfortable. I came to Elumind feeling hopeful for help and left feeling as though I just got scammed out of a few thousand dollars. Do your research before booking here.
Karen Koo: LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE!!!!!! Part 1.Problem: I have been diagnosed with ADHD by my psychologist since I was 15, however, the doctor told only my parents. I have gone through most of my life with addiction issues, alcohol, drugs, and other things. I also had brain trauma from a ski accident which gave me concussion along with 2 big falls on my head. FOr the past 10 years, I have also developed periods of depression which left me bedridden 7 -10 days at a time periodically. I have started therapy and it has helped alot. Something still missing. My heart wanted to do certain things, but my mind and body couldn`t execute it. Even simple everyday tasks like getting up to face the day and showering will give me anxiety. This led me to a further spiral. SLEEP HAS ALWAYS BEEN TERRIBLE. I sleep 4 to 4.5 hours a day and would wake up not being able to face my day because of anxiety about not getting enough sleep.

I have tried going on Concerta, but the medication completely destroyed me. My friend`s son recommended me to Elumind so I tried.
Samina Abid: An inviting, kind, and compassionate space supported by the most caring team in the process of your life changing transformation through various therapies including neuro feedback. I highly recommend Elumind for the outstanding service they provide!!
Christie Bonnett: I can’t speak highly enough of Elumind. Their staff and doctors are wonderful and the TMS and Neurofeedback treatments work! It has been life changing. I am so grateful to be supported by Elumind on this journey.
Romane Pertolas: I was looking for something different so I could have an insight of what was really going on inside my brain based on imagery (brain map) and I can only recommend everyone to go to Elumind. The brain map as well as the neurofeedback sessions helped me SO MUCH in such a short amount of time with anxiety, focusing and sleeping better. This experience was better than any therapy I've been following before. I can't wait to come back ! Also the staff is super friendly.
Lovella Lazaro: My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD and clinical depression at the age of 10 and have gone thru therapy ever since. Last year though was a turning point for our family as we saw our now 16 year old daughter at her worst emotional and mental state, her anxiety and depression worsened so much that she urgently required help from a very strong medical support team. She was seen by a known psychiatrist and prescribed meds that we didn’t find very effective and underwent extensive DBT therapy under the care of one of Vancouver’s top psychologists. Her state improved somewhat with therapy but we didn’t see any massive change in her moods, outlook in life as her mood swings then were still difficult to manage, her anxiety and depression still very apparent in how she dealt with her social life and relationships with family and friends. We reached a point when my daughter blamed all her struggles on me and my family and even refused to have any sort of relationship with us. As a mother, I was beyond heartbroken knowing how much anger my daughter holds in her heart and felt hopeless and wondered if our lives could go any better. Then came in Elumind. I decided to explore neurofeedback upon the recommendation of my daughter’s therapist. I have not heard of it and came to know about Elumind only after searching for neurofeedback centers near us and I must say enlisting their help was the best decision we ever made. I was in awe of their brain mapping technology as I didn’t know it could at all be possible for us to definitively know what my daughter’s struggles were, and with the brain map results we finally did. Dr. Edalati explained to us at length how neurofeedback works and informed us exactly what’s wrong with our daughter and the areas we must focus on for her to be more stable. He went over and above for us, as the advices and guidance he provided us helped us a great deal to manage this journey with our daughter. He and his team are beyond spectacular, as they always treated us with such kindness and understanding and we could not have asked for anything more. Our daughter completed more than the standard number of neurofeedback sessions as that was how complex her case was but seeing my daughter back, seeing her smile and laugh again, hearing her utter the words “I love you”, “I am sorry”, “Thank you” definitely made the time and money we invested on neurofeedback so worth it. I know her therapy and supplements contributed as well to her recovery but I believe neurofeedback was truly the game changer for us. Thank you so much, Dr. Edalati and Elumind team, for everything! May you continue to make a difference in this world and bring individuals like my daughter and their families joy and hope again, so they finally can start living a life worth living.
Geraldine Di Cicco: After my experience having Neurofeedback at Elumind I feel like my mind is clearer and I feel calmer and more organized. The staff were fantastic — they were friendly, professional, punctual. Overall, my experience here felt so comfortable and everyone was so kind! Definitely would recommend.
Marco Tezak: Great team at Elumind, everyone is welcoming and professional. They took time to explain the process of neurofeedback clearly and helped me deal with my health concerns, I would highly recommend. Thank you!
Jenny Salvatierra: Elumind Centres for Brain is an excellent facility. I brought both my kids for a six month treatment of Neurofeedback for their anxiety and depression. The change I have seen in them is truly incredible. Dr. Edalati, technicians and staff are amazing! They are really there for you and your loved ones. I would recommend this program to anyone.
Mike Boyd: The best decision I've ever made, was to begin neurofeedback treatments at Elumind. The staff are incredible, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The treatments have given me my life back, and I wish I had found them sooner. If you are on the fence, I recommend that you give it a try.
Daniel Landy: My time spent at elumind was truly joyous and worthwhile. Their service played a huge roll in helping me to transform my life. They have such an amazing team that creates a wonderful environment to be in and I will miss them all. Im grateful to have been involved with such a stellar organization.
Reihaneh: We are glad to have come across Elumind, for their neurofeedback treatment. It helped my son with his focus and confidence. He's become more proficient at problem solving and very calm during the day. Doctor Edalati and his hard working team were very helpful and informative. We are very grateful for the wonderful results, and the staff's kindness.
Tracey Hirsch: Seven months ago my then 15-year-old son went off his ADHD meds. While the negative side effects of the stimulant meds disappeared within a few days, the “noise in his head“ from ADHD got worse. We sought neurofeedback from Elumind as a non-medicinal approach to managing his ADHD. After the initial brain map, Dr Edalati developed a protocol of about 100 neurofeedback sessions for my son. (More than the average 30-40 sessions, but such was the need for my son.) The results are nothing short of profound. He’s much happier, more confident, more resilient and more capable in all aspects of his life. He has a broader circle of friends and an expanded social life. And the noise in his head is gone. Gone. It sounds like a miracle and some days it feels like that. But it’s not a miracle. It’s science. Science that works. My son, husband and I are so grateful to have found Elumind. The team is warm and friendly and their treatment program for my son has changed his life. He is thriving.
Peri Sadigh: Dr Edalati is brilliant. He helped me so much with my mental health and getting my life on the right track. The neurofeedback therapy made a huge difference in my life, with anxiety, depression and ADD. Truly grateful and would highly recommend him to anyone.
