Henry's: what do users think?
Back to the App: Do not recommend buying from Henry's. It take more then months to get your items and they do not know when to get it. They should not take money before when they get the items or know when to get it. At least tell costumer it might take more then months. We can not do anything it is up to suppliers. My experience with Henrys camera was Canada's worst Camera store.
Sidney Talaro: Nice camera equipment store with friendly, easy going staff.
Ergün TEKİR: I bought couple camera gear from henrys camera store. I would like to say something about their staff. There was a guy whose name was Izzat, so he is very kind and helpful. He treated me very professionally. His knowledge about tripods and godox lights was literally impressed me. And I think I bought correct stuff for my demand. I am giving 5 star to henrys just because of this guy. However I cannot say much about others. I went to this store 2 more times but I couldnt see same effort from other salespersons. Anyways, if you need camera stuff or you are interested about cameras, I would recommend these guys. Thanks.
Nathan Pangilinan: Excellent costumer service!
Ed Lau: Made an order in July of 2022. Product didn't ship. Was told I couldn't cancel because special order. Waited another 2 months. Was told the same thing. Finally contacted them today and after 9 months, they said it wasn't coming and they'd cancel. Ordered the same product from a different retailer and got it in 3 days. I'm guessing Henry's didn't even bother with "special orders".
WMJ: Very professional staff
Proud Canadian: Went to trade in a lens today. They charged me $3000 for a year ago the lenses in mint condition they offer $1300 trade in never trade a lens in at Henry’s. they totally tried to rip me off and they resell those lenses for 2400 used
MUHAMMED SIRAJ U M: Good selections
Emmie Santos: Professional staffs, friendly and accomodating.
Irina Stelmakh: My favourite cameras store in Vancouver
Aditya Chinchure: Knowledgeable folks, and a huge collection of products.
RURU Y: I bought a tripod. The clerk was very nice and told me how to use it kindly.I’ll come by again if I need some equipment for my camera.
Arvind Ravikumar: Perfect place to buy a camera. Excellent service by the Asst. Manager Ara.
Heïdi Clos: Thank you so much Ella for helping me choosing my camera. You are the most friendly, sweet listening young lady ! I got the best advice and would recommend 100%. I had a very lovely time in store thanks to you so thank you again !
Min Cooper: Ordered an item online on Black Friday that showed in stock. After zero notification 2 weeks later I followed up. They told me it was not in stock. Others have reported that they sell things online that they don't have in stock. I wouldn't have bothered ordering if the I knew the item wasn't available as other sellers actually had the item in stock for the same price at the time. I was then told I'd receive my item when in stock with no indicator of when. On Boxing Day I noticed their inventory system showed it was in stock so I contacted them again - they should have simply sent my order without prompting. They told me they would process my order right away which means nothing would have been done without me reminding them. Now it's another 2 weeks later and no email with any follow up. Exceptionally poor customer service. I would not recommend.I am not surprised at the high volume of 1 star reviews.
KERP Photography: Big shop and nicely organized. The staff is incredible. Not only they are professional and will help you with honesty, but they give you time and space instead of chasing you and forcing you to buy like other stores do. Definitely a shop I never get tired of shopping. Highly recommended.
John Jankowski: Very helpful staff. I was able to buy a tripod at a good price.
Sean Asprec: Pre-ordered a lens half a year ago and have been paying it through their financing system ever since then, only to find out now that there’s no record of me pre-ordering it or purchasing it whatsoever and I was even told that it may have been cancelled. I have the invoice and receipt of purchase and everything too. Wasted so much time and money when other stores already had the lens available on their shelves a few months ago.Terrible pre-order system.
Jennifer Chin: Leo at the Broadway location was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Definitely will come back for any printing and camera needs!
Christopher McDonald: Ordered a product online described as excellent, lens arrived in very poor condition. Contacted Henry's and they took 7 days to get back to me about the lens and asked me to return it. Now 7 days after they have signed for their lens and received the return I have still heard nothing about getting my money back. Expecting to be submitting a claim to Visa at this point. These people are a joke.
Ekaterina Ungvitskaya: Called the store asking for a certain camera part. The guy on the phone was very rude. He told me without even thinking into my problem that I need to do this and that. When I asked to come to the store he said they are very busy and when I said I want to feel welcomed in the store the answer was "whatever".I went to Kerrisdale Camera instead and had wonderful experience there. The staff was very patient and in the end I purchased necessary equipment.

Professional Photography Program: what do users think?
Jaime Larsen: I have not been a student at Langara (yet) however, I have had an amazing experience with the faculty and students in the Arts/Photography department that I would like to share. My wedding was coming up in 3 weeks, and my photographer (who is a pro, but also a family member) bailed on us. She wasn't able to travel to the wedding. We researched the top photography schools in Vancouver area and Langara is number one. We couldn't afford a typical $3000-$5000 wedding package, and we thought it would be a great opportunity for an eager student to get some experience. Surprisingly enough, the faculty at Langara responded right away, first of all to apologize on behalf of photographers everywhere! They agreed that it would be a great opportunity for the students. We received numerous emails from students, in a very professional manor, asking to take on the job. We decided to go with the lovely Laura Mohr of Belleza Pura Photography and SHE DID SUCH A FANTASTIC JOB!!! I can certainly tell that they are doing a great job of teaching new photographers, not just about the art, but the ins and outs of the business too. She also spoke very highly of the photography program at Langara. We are SO appreciative of the philosophy and ethics at this school. THANK YOU!

Leo’s Camera Supply: what do users think?
ASHLEY TONELLI: The guy is very rude
Mei Yuan: awesome place, they are so knowledgeable and friendly.
Volare Media: Amazing service and pricing. Highly recommend!!
Mark Dozlaw: I will be getting all of my equipment here from now on. Recently bought a new Canon DSLR/Rode VideoMic Pro from Leo’s and I couldn’t be happier. Peter (staff) is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He made sure that I got everything I needed and that all of equipment/accessories were compatible with each other. Amazing customer service and good prices. Save yourself time, money and stress by shopping here from experts instead of wasting your money at a big corporate electronics store.
Jon S: Competitive prices, good location to drop in while shooting downtown. Legitimately consistently the best customer service I have ever experienced. Staff are always friendly, enthusiastic, informative and patient. They are always happy to field questions and help you make informed decisions, including refferals to other businesses that could better serve you. I always inquire here first when I need new equipment. It's easy to see why they've been around 30 years, and I'm sure they'll be here another 30.
Mia Knezevic: I got my new camera in the mail and came in here needing equipment and literally knowing nothing. The staff were so knowledgeable and helped me pick out everything I needed to start with. They helped me save money by picking a starter lens and I was able to spend more on other supplies like a backpack. Will definitely come here again!
Cesar Calle: Excellent place
Derek Ulrich: Service that only a small shop can give!
Peter Liang: Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Went in today and have a camera lens checked. Peter (name of employee) went above and beyond and gave me great advice and service even though I didn’t end up buying anything. Will definitely be my store of choice for camera and supplies. Thank you.
Hinge Productions: Peter at Leo’s Camera is very knowledgeable and honest.
Daniel Sainz Zavala: He was super helpful, you can tell he knows about photography and camera gear (and rightly so, he told me he's been in this business for more than 30 years now). He sells quality stuff at a very competitive price. Would totally recommend you to check his store out 👌🏽
Miguel Fernandez: Excellent service. Great selection.
Virtual Photo: Love it
Rambling through the digital age: Always have what I'm looking for! Very helpful 👍
Leslie Poulson: Awesome helpful staff, super friendly, lots of stuff in stock that I couldn’t find anywhere else in Canada, SUPER fast shipping after an online order, packaged well, 100% would recommend 👌🏻
Diego L: Opens late, closes early, and it’s only Monday to Friday.
Dakota Dore: Extremely helpful and honest. Quick shipping and great service!
Niels-Daniel Moonias: Visited Vancouver for a photoshoot job, checked local stores for a Nikkor Z 24-70mm lens for my Z6-when Leos Camera Supply came up.After checking the store for a while I was engaged by a staff member, who was instantly abrasive with me, and came across as interrogative to the point where I felt uncomfortable. As if my intentions in the store were nefarious. Giving me slight up-and-down looks, as if probing whether or not I had the money to even be worth the "effort" he had to put in-to make the sale. From my first time experience, I would not visit this location again for any high-end purchases, especially not whilst dressed in casual attire...Ended up purchasing my lens with a few new light stands at another location.
Nico: Excelente servicio con atención personalizada y consejos expertos.Siempre es un gusto volver a esta tienda, siempre me voy con productos de calidad y mucha satisfacción.
Nick Pegg: Legendary spot
Mark Adam: One of my favorite camera shops ever. The people who work there really know cameras and can give you great advice.

The Lab Vancouver: what do users think?
Tzvi Gomberg: Excellent service. They care about what they do and the quality of their work. Pay for the higher res scans if that’s what you care about, but tbh I’ve never had any issues.
Jose Gerardo Palma: Really high quality results on the same day. Prices are higher than the rest. Still if you want high quality come here.
M J G: Sadly, The Lab failed to live up to the hype. They are rude, unbelievably overpriced for what they offer and their condescending attitude was enough to ensure I will never return. Not worth it... for any reason.
Mingyang Chen: The price is a little expensive, but the service is nothing to say
hooman nematolahi: The staff member was very very rude.
Henry Chen: Good price on film developing and scanning. Good quality on the job. Relatively fast service.
jack Zheng: A very professional film processing and printing shop. I have been processing film here since I started shooting film. The reversal film processing is quite first-class, but now there is only one customer in the store and sometimes the wait will be longer.
James Stewart: My go to place for developing my 120 and 35mm film. Their scanning and developing costs are quite competitive and have a really good turn around time.
Adrien Royer: Scan quality for 35mm negatives is not good. Will have to send them somewhere else to get rescanned. They left a sticker on one of the shots before scanning as well. Turn around time was decent.
j davis: Excellent images from a finger drive all the way from Australia. Best place for custom work. Nathan(the technician who patiently walked me through each image for cropping, size, colour correction and paper choice) the quality of the images was amazing thank you. The photos represented different time periods up to a hundred years ago. Grateful and thrilled customer.
Genevieve Claire: I had high hopes for The Lab but was very disappointed.First, the customer service wasn’t great, and then when I received my film they had developed it in black and white instead of colour.Although they corrected their mistake free of charge the whole experience was a let down.
Andrea Barrios: Quality and personal service. I’m happy to support this business.
Carlos Miguel Braz Margarido: Ruined my honeymoon roll.Said "the machine had a problem" and that was it.We complained and got a refund, but didn't get a single sorry, apology or the like.
Zachary Schroeder: If you have film that needs development, photos that need printing, etc, the lab is THE PLACE. They have great pricing, wide variety of services, and everything they do, they do it well.
Aaron Smedley: Simply the best lab service in Canada. I will not trust my projects to anyone else while shooting there.Professional, knowledgeable, and great quality results.
Jeff and Nikki Burnett: Impressed! They process 120 film here!
mj Charlotte: Short of hands and poor service. Dropped by to see if they do ecn2 (I know it’s rare) and asked about it, but was questioned instead in poor manner. I barely write review and this is the first time, I was terribly intimidated. As if you don’t need respect if you’re not a local, and was not able to research thoroughly on their website before setting foot in the store. A middle aged Asian woman.
Alice de Crom: I only trust the lab with my film! Thank you for always doing such a great job
ben k: one of the last labs I trust to get my good old photo film developed and scanned.
Kamaira LeBlanc: While in Vancouver a few weeks back I sought out a place to get two rolls of film developed and decided on The Lab, as I felt more comfortable going to a specialty studio rather than chancing the quality of my photos with London Drugs / Costco.Summary: Photo quality is good, scan quality is OK, but experience overall was less than pleasant.I read reviews and made sure to look at the website for any additional information that might have been skipped on Google, and all seemed OK. Brought my film in at the beginning of the week and was told it wouldn’t be ready until the end of the week, which was a bit longer than I anticipated the turnaround being (understanding from the website that turnaround was dependent on workload). On the pick-up date I called to inquire about my order and a time, and was met with a rude attitude on the other end of the line; they asked what my name was and when they couldn’t locate my order they condescendingly asked why I hadn’t spelled my name out for them in the first place... but they were sure to verbalize to me that they weren’t being condescending 🙄Photos were ready to pick up only 1 hour before closing, which I was just able to accommodate. I had ordered scans and prints and was incredibly taken aback to see that the charge was $80+ (!!!) for my two rolls, seeing as the scans were ‘free’. — The prices online need to be updated!!I was told the link to the scans would be sent to me as soon as my payment was processed, however I did not receive the link until the next morning. I understand it was end of day, but surely it can’t be difficult to either give customers a courtesy ETA, or to have the emails ready to send out once payment is received like previously communicated?I’m not usually one to write negative reviews, and I always give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but even weeks later this experience still doesn’t sit right with me.
Cindy Taylor: Critical:ValueI recently took in 9 rolls of very old film to have developed to negatives and was charged $85 for 17 photos.

Vancouver Institute of Media Arts (VanArts): what do users think?
Deepesh sachdev: Female Respresenatative of vanart india was mean, rude, disrecptful. No Apology came from van art. was also asked to take down my bad review about van art for being brutal honest over social media in threatful way.
Prachi Bapat: I recently completed my Web development and Interactive design program from VanArts. It was an intense program. The professors are really supportive and give you ample of time answering your questions. Classes are small. You get lots of professional advice in your one to one sessions. Its a very hands on, project-based program were you get to learn from your professors who are experts in this industry.I would totally recommend this program to anyone who want to pursue their career in Web development industry.
Lisa Millerd: I took the web development course in 2021-2022 and had an excellent experience. It's a very hands on, project-based program where you work closely with your instructors who are professionals in the industry. Classes are small and you get lots of one-on-one time with instructors when you want to work through a problem or ask for professional advice.
sachi goto: I completed the Web Development and Interactive Design program in August 2022. You will definitely benefit from this program if you can dedicate yourself for one year and put your best effort into all the projects. This program is intense so you can easily fall behind if you are not committed to this program but you will gain a comprehensive understanding of web development, from UX/UI to SEO to multiple different programming languages if you dedicate yourself to this program. The head of the department, John Manoar, is dedicated to teaching us and constantly reminds us to ask questions if we are unclear. He is very approachable. He is up-to-date about technology and you get to learn cutting-edge technology from him.The way John taught us programming was particularly impressive to me. He is very thorough and he is more than happy to repeat until we understand.Throughout the program, I was very grateful that he is the heard of the department.I recommend this program to anyone who is willing to dedicate a year to being a developer.
Yuka Yamamoto: I am a student of web development & interactive design at VanArts. There was a head teacher change from my class and there seems to be a big and good change in the program. The teachers are very supportive. They are always flexible and willing to take the students' opinions and try to make the class suitable for our situation. The classes are always step by step and if there is a lot that we don't understand, they give us time to work on it. Taking advantage of the small class size, if you ask for feedback or follow-up after class, they will give me time to talk one-on-one.All classes are project-based, giving me more hands-on skills. The course content tries to help me study the rapidly changing front-end trends.Since this is a one-year course, there are many hard parts of the course, but my teachers and classmates are always very supportive!
Techy Ted: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueSTAY AWAY... especially from the Web Development course. It is useless and the teachers don't care about you or your future! This college is mainly attended by rich kids looking for a student visa so they can stay in Vancouver. BCIT is around the corner go there and get your moneys worth!
Pigeon Man: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Valueif you aren't a social person, you won't do well here
Risako Futagawa: I am actually a full time student in Van Arts Web Development program. This is the most relevant information I can provide. About 3 weeks ago our department head suddenly left and we have not been able to get a proper education. We all pay the tuition and we should be able to get a high quality education. Since the instructor changed, one of the instructor for PHP and Javascript never came on time, he will not teach us enough. Also he will never give us break and continue the class past our lunch time. Because of his delay, we have not been taught enough in term2 so far. All the students are frustrated, worried and concerned about the situation. We have been sending emails to school but nothing has been better. Another instructor started teaching us PHP from this week but he seems like he does not know what we have learned so far... None of the communication has been done between instructors. We thought this new instructor will be better. But he does not answer questions from students and finish the class early. My classmates and I really want to change this whole situation because we take our education seriously. We emailed this new instructor to have a talk on Friday. He said he will make time but he did not show up.... I am very upset about how school is handling everything and no one cares about our education. My classmates and I are trying our best but nothing has been working well. I hate to write a poor review but this is the reality and I do not recommend anyone to go to this school. When you have problems, none of the instructors are there to understand or support you. I do not think it is worth to pay an expensive tuition and get nothing from it. I do not know about other programs but I do not recommend web development program. It is not a good school.
Dave S: Horrible experience in my opinion. Towards the end, the school became cheap and unprofessional. They even crack a joke at your expense when you leave. I have personally not recommended this school at all.
Jessica Everington: I did the Web Development & Interactive Design course 2019-2020. The teachers were really knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I felt comfortable raising any issues and the department head listened to any concerns we had. They really care about nuturing you, and were genuinely excited to watch us grow and develop our skills.I didn't have any issue with the facilities there. They are basic, but you're there to learn not chill out in the break room. I had access to all the software and programs required for the course without needing to buy anything except a $15 domain name where we uploaded our projects. The school itself is in a central location and easy to get to by bus or train.I'd recommend this course to anyone considering a career in web-something. I say "web-something" because it's a holistic course that goes beyond "just" web development. I shopped around a few different schools and ultimately chose this one due to the fact they also cover design, business, project management, and SEO. I'm so thankful I went here - I went in thinking I wanted to be a full-stack developer and fell in love with SEO instead. Now, I'm a digital marketer. I don't think I'd have had that opportunity at another school. If you are considering the webdev course, just know that you need to put the work in or you'll get nothing out of this course. The webdev course is REALLY hard and you can't coast along. It moves at a breakneck pace because there is just SO MUCH you need to learn in a year.Pro tip: always remember that every project you do will eventually go in your portfolio. At job interviews they will test your skills, so don't put anything on your portfolio that you can't code by yourself.
Maria Lavetkina: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME.I wish I invested my money in the stock market than wasted them on Web Development program.Instructors make you believe you can be a full stack developer but that's not true. That's not how the market works. Yes, the program covered a lot of courses, but nothing went in depth.A couple of instructors were professional and good, the rest of them weren't.One instructor took really long to check the homework or other projects. And when I say long, I mean 4 months, no joke. The same instructor kept talking about his dating life. So I learned a lot about it but not much about PHP and JavaScript.Instructors tell you to email them when you have questions, but they rarely reply. They are great example of who you should not be.One instructor said that VanArts is a business. Well, then I'm not satisfied with a quality of service VanArts provides. The only one good thing about my time in VanArts is the other students, some of them became my friends. Most of the students in my class also thought it was a waste of money.I DO NOT RECOMMEND web development program. There are better schools in Vancouver.
Jacob Green: Positive:Professionalism,ValueSpeaking on Photography: a school that is invested in an individual's success outside of grades on a sheet. Helps by creating a professional environment, they can help guide real-life opportunity, with real-life working professionals, and an admin team that listens to their students
Anirudh Garg: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Arthur “The Old Arthur” Marto: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityAwesome school and people!! I loved the Game Art and Design Program. I learned everything I needed to be in the industry. Thank you so much VANARTS! :)
Salman Ali: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueCame with mediocre skills..learned a lot in span of one year.
Ian Manuel Hernández: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityGreta! I completed the VFX program and learned A LOT, great for all levels of students.
Rohaan Allport: I'm a graduate from the Game Art & Design March 2019 batch. VanArts was in many ways what I expected, and in many ways not. I learnt a lot. Learnt industry standards, processes and became proficient in a lot of software. And I made many new friend with similar career interest. However after being guided and taught the basics, myself, friends and colleagues feel that program needs to be updated. Newer tools, and methods to accomplishing a task have since developed, An example would be making hair and adding hair dynamics.
Gabriel Antoniosi: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueLovely place. You will learn tons of stuffs in just one year program.
Mathews Gijo: If I had a time machine and were given the option of either travelling to one of the best moments of my life or back to that one year at Vanarts, I wouldn’t have to choose...they are both the same. This place is not just a school. It’s more. Vanarts is familia. The fast and furious kind. Besides all these, the staff is extremely helpful and kind. They are also a few of the best in their respective industry. The environment is very friendly and calming too. I for one have learnt a lot in one year that another student would take years to learn.I’d give the school more stars if Google gave me more stars XD

Vancouver Photo Workshops: what do users think?
Todd Mercer: Save your money and spend it in a worthwhile online course instead because this is not one of those. I was living in Vancouver at the time and wanted to help support a local business. I took the photoshop for photographers course a couple of years ago and found it incredibly disjointed, jumbled and unprofessional. The instructor made so many mistakes...and I do mean so many (this is a pre-recorded course) through each and every tutorial, often excusing it as a better way for you to learn by learning from his mistakes. Here's a better way to learn, VPW..practice and edit your tutorials in a more streamlined and professional fashion. Listening and watching to you're instructors fumble through their lessons is confusing and aggravating. There was also zero input on any projects completed by the instructor or any one else at VPW.My workplace re-imbursed me for the cost of the course itself but I needed some type of receipt to prove I had taken the course and completed it. Multiple emails over the course of a couple of months received no responses until I worded my final inquiry more critically...only then did I finally get a proper response. (refer to review below concerning another persons experience with communicating with these people).Like I said save your money, there are plenty of online courses that offer far superior instruction ( even youtube tutorials are far better). Don't waste your hard earned money and time with this hackneyed attempt at online tutorials. I'm suspicious of anyone reviewing this course positively, either they are complete beginners with no real expectations or they are somehow connected.
mce bro: I'm not entirely sure what's going on with this place, but I have been trying for about 2 months now to get a hold of them regarding information about one of their courses. I have messaged them on their website using their contact form, I have called them a couple of times and left messages, but they do not answer at all to emails and no one ever picks up the phone. It goes to a voicemail saying that they are closed until January 2nd, but it's now January 27th and nothing. I'm assuming they have closed down because they don't seem interested at all in responding to customers.
Sarah Frank: I took a couple courses last year, enjoyed them immensely. Instructors were professional and thorough. Courses were affordable. Now that winter is here I'll be looking to continue my studies with VPW. My photography has noticeably improved. Thanks VPW, see you soon
Lena Alsayegh: I hate to do this but they were completely inflexible and stuck to their guns so I need to call them out.I registered for the Intermediate Digital Photography course last year, eager to follow up on the Beginner one I'd just completed at Langara, while saving a bit of money. Eager is key, because only after I hastily registered (the course was starting within a few days and I didn't want it to fill up) did I notice the course outline, which was buried in one of the drop-down menus, and saw that there would be a lot of model work, which I had no interest in. So, I called them, less than 30 minutes after registering, and explained myself, but they refused to give me a full refund. Now, the remaining amount was only $30 - something about the company they go through for visa payments - but I'd just donated $30 for half an hour of nothing, and they were completely unwilling to budge and help me out.Did they do anything wrong? No, they followed their policy, but there are always exceptions to rules, and good customer service seeks to understand the big picture, and make clients happy. In this regard, they failed miserably. Instead, they seemed to prioritize making money, and for that reason, they've lost a client for life. I've not booked with them again since, and I never will. (And before anyone says they need to make money too, or it's an out of pocket loss - they seem perfectly fine giving wholesale-style early bird and daytime discounts, I'm sure they could have figured something out.)Also, I've heard (and just looking at their course outlines by comparison) that they're nowhere near as thorough, or therefore educational, as Langara. Yes, Langara is more expensive, but not by much. You get what you pay for, and it's fantastic instruction.I hate to be mean, but I wish VPW would have made a better impression on me, instead they chose to prioritize themselves over their client, and so lost out on both counts.

InFocus Film School - Vancouver, BC: what do users think?
Elena Rois: Hight quality teachers! Giving you tips and material from the real world as a graphic designer, you will work on projects where you will apply all the theory learned and you will see your evolution if you keep practicing and making an effort. The teachers are very attentive to any doubts you may have or if you have any problems during the course that need special attention. They also create a healthy work environment among classmates where you receive constructive feedback, where group work and learning other styles is encouraged. My experience in this school has been very good and I am grateful for everything I have learned to each of my teachers and classmates.
Alex Mcghie: With so many schools to choose from I'm extremely thankful I decided to attend InFocus. The staff at the school are incredibly kind and helpful making the process easy from start to finish. I was in the Graphic + Digital Design Program and the instructors were absolutely hands down the best you could ask for. They are available outside of class hours to help with any problems, and truly go above and beyond to help students succeed. There is extensive feedback for on going projects and hands on, in class work throughout the entire program that facilitated learning and continued improvement on skills and projects. Each project is unique and correlates to skills and knowledge required in the industry. I can honestly say this program rivals many degree and diploma programs as the amount of skill and the projects gained upon graduation is incredible. I have never felt so proud of the work I've done and have had so much fun doing it. I can't say enough good things about the school and I recommend InFocus Film School to anyone who is looking to learn and succeed with a career in graphic design.
Haley Vowels: I enrolled in the Digital + Graphic Design Program and graduated spring 2023. This program is an absolute gem. I was the youngest to ever take this course at only 18 and had no idea the career path I stumbled into. Words cannot describe the abundance of design knowledge I learned in only 6 months, it makes me feel like I've finished a 2 year college degree. This is big props to the incredible and carefully chosen instructors that are teaching from passion and sharing their design secrets from their own careers. You'll be pushed and challenged the entire way but it will all be worth it when you leave with a professional portfolio, resume, business card, website, and a graphic design family. This course sets you up to not only keep up with people that have gotten degrees and been in the working field for years but also excel. Thank you Leila my graphic design mother.
Ed Alexander: The 1 year crash course on film production was great - everything I needed to prepare me for a career in the film industry! InFocus has an excellent group of instructors and support staff who go the extra mile to support our learning.
Grace Wang: Had a very good experience in the Compositing for VFX program. The instructors and mentors are all very knowledgeable and supportive.
Aidan Tong: Very hands-on school with really solid instructors. Instructors that are accomplished and are still working in the industry. Great way to learn while doing.
Victor Lee: My friend made a deposit of $1300 and decided to not start his studies due to school policy and personal issues. He tried to get his deposit back, but the school told him that they wouldn't refund him anyway. This information is not in the contract, and is such a lack of respect with not just all the students in the school, but with the population struggling during the pandemic.
Jelica Rojas: This is an amazing school ! My experience here is extremely good. People are very nice and instructors are very helpful! Coming to this school is one of my best decision to pursue my career as a filmmaker ! I would definitely recommend Infocus Film school. 🤗
Nessie Blanes: Super friendly staff and such an amazing experience.Their Film Production Course is such an amazing experience. Definitely recommends this school over V*S.
Olga Grigoreva: I took their compositing program and it worked great for me. I came in with literally zero photo/video editing experience (not even Photoshop), and a month after graduation I got a job as a compositor in VFX studio here in Vancouver. The course was substantially cheaper than VFS/Lost Boys/Langara's VFX programs, fully online and short-term. I could still work part-time. The best thing about InFocus is that it's small and humble, so everyone up to the director of the school are very approachable and ready to help. They are really there to make sure you succeed, it's great. Also, I got plenty of industry connections and insights through mentors that teach evening classes. Overall, I'd highly recommend this course! And yes, the VFX industry is booming now, so it's a great time to get in.
Zedar Thom: My career started long ago on a communications path and was more of left-brain thinking but with the recent training at Infocus Film School Graphics & Digital Design, I finally had the opportunity to get my right brain cranking in design thinking. It's not all fanciful stuff. With designing, you learn all your life. I had professional instructors with real experiences, plus tons of hard work on my part to complete interesting projects. After graduation, if you are not from Vancouver, you are quite on your own as emails are often ignored. Infocus lacks in post-training strong alumni relationship, as this seems to be done selectively for PR.
Melissa Peterson: I completed the Writing for Film and Television Program at InFocus Film School a week ago and I'm excited to share that I feel fully prepared to find my way and work within the film business. All of the instructors are industry professionals with a deep commitment to story. I left the program with a much better understanding of structure than I went in with and a solid idea about which route will best serve the career I want to build.
Jesse Parker Hart: I had been wanting to go to InFocus Film School for years, and when I finally had my chance to go, it actually exceeded my expectations. Despite having to do the program during the pandemic and mostly over Zoom, the instructors and faculty made it so that we still had an amazing educational experience. I love that we got to dabble in all aspects of filmmaking, and really had the chance to try everything out, beyond just a superficial level. The instructors were all very experienced in the industry and had valuable insights to pass along. The program challenged me and pushed me out of my comfort zone but always within a healthy and reasonable limit. The program is set up so that it's really what you make of it: all the tools are at your disposal, you just have to put your mind and hands to the task, and learn how to work as a team. You are really given the opportunity and support to make award winning short films before you even graduate.
Terra T: Great faculty and nice staff, my learning experience was amazing!I took their 3D Animation and VFX program.I had no prior knowledge to 3D animation and vfx other than I was passionate about the cinematic world. Every mentor had great patience and was able to teach me from scratch. The teachers truly care about the success of their students. The staff continue to help even after my graduation which truly makes me feel like part of a family and community.InFocus gave me the tools and knowledge to pursue my passion!
Amanda Heredia: I have been to a few exciting events organized by this school, supporting their students and the community.
Vadim Venedyukhin: I had a wonderful time at InFocus. The small class size allows students to connect with each other and with instructors. The majority of the lessons involve hands on exercises with careful in-depth guidance from the teachers. There are many projects throughout the program that always include one-on-one meetings with instructors that give support and valuable professional feedback. Both international and domestic students of different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs are treated with equality and understanding. Some instructors also come from different parts of the globe such as Russia, Brazil, and Europe, so chances are you will be able to speak your native tongue with someone in the school. Located at the heart of Vancouver it's a great place to meet industry professionals and get inspired by the big budget movies being filmed on the streets nearby.
Jake De Pedro: Having no experience with 3D but always being something that caught my interest I decided to take the 3D animation program at Infocus Film School. I have learned so much, and was given the right advice for my portfolio- from industry professionals!Miguel is an amazing coordinator that ensured that we always were taken care of! My modelling mentor Arturo along with my animation instructor (Selman) and my Lighting instructors Kiruthiga also spent countless hours giving me constructive criticism and ensuring that the end product was worth showing.A few months after graduation and after applying I was offered a position at Mainframe Studios. I want to thank the entire staff at infocus for working their magic and rolling out their online program in record time!I am still to this day very thankful and highly recommend to work hard !
Adam Dien: I did the 3D animation & VFX program and had a phenomenal experience. The instructors are clearly not about it for a salary, they truly care about you and your success. To name name's the instructors I had at the time were Miguel Rodriguez Suarez, Arturo Baccio, Kiruthiga Mahalingam and Selman Kantarci. No matter who will be your instructors I am confident they will continue to hire and find kind and capable industry professionals. If you truly give this program your all for the year they will help you get you to your entry level dream job. I thought many times that I could teach myself since you do most of the hard work and self teaching, but having a mentor to guide you really makes the difference and found myself learning something I would never have thought to google or made a connection from my modelling class to be useful in animation that I wouldn't have necessarily got on my own. They teach you from the ground up and once you know the basics they give pretty much strictly feedback on what it is to look for. The way they do feedback is exactly how it is done when you get your first job, and I felt I was well prepared when I got my first animation job. I look back and think about how a year ago I was working part time at the grocery store and now I am a junior animator from my 1 year at Infocus.Give it your all, give that whole year, no distractions dedicated to the schooling as much as you can. Always want to keep learning and don't take the criticism to heart because they know what's expected to get a job and only want you to get better is my advice. I am very fortunate to have gone to this school.
Grecia Paez: I was in the Film Production Program. It's intense but very useful, as someone who didn't know anything, I learned a lot. The teachers are all very caring and ready to guide you in whatever you need. The school is small but has more than enough (equipment, etc) to offer its students through their program. All in all, a good investment for the start of your filmmaking career.

Kerrisdale Cameras Ltd - Vancouver: what do users think?
Sunil Bhatt: They made my passport photos in 5 min. for a reasonable price. Great service
wes foulds: Good deal
Johnny Extreme: Shout out to Kerrisdale Cameras for selling me the best priced used Canon EG-E1 (red) in all of North America! Trust me, I looked. Got the unit at a great price obviously and the shipping time and packaging was pretty decent from coast-to-coast across Canada! Only thing I might suggest is that they should try implementing some photos for their used items so it's less of a gamble, however, I lucked out and I'm very satisfied. Thanks again!
Abigail Lo: Helpful and friendly service! Staff is patient and knowledgeable
Kimia Mansouri: They always help you out if you have questions. Everyone who works here is very patient and friendly. Wayne is supper friendly and takes the time to help you out. I go here to develop my film photos. It is a bit pricy but not more expensive than any other place.
Kris Starr: Never bought a camera before so i was nervous coming in but Desmond was great and i felt like he went above and beyond to help me find everything i needed. The staff here are really friendly and helpful.
Henry Chen: Bought my fujifilm lens here, good price and very knowledgeable staff. I also develop my film here, great price, fast service, good quality!
todd lee: The most expensive camera store. Everything is overpriced
K T: Good and reliable service
Melissa Young: I brought my film in to get developed and when I returned to pick it up I was given film that belonged to someone else. Not only was the staff unhelpful in finding my roll of film they also promised they’d get back to me with updates and I’ve heard nothing for weeks. They lost an entire roll of memories I’ll never get back and don’t even have the decency to call and try and fix the situation.
Gregory Kehm: Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Large selection of cameras including a selection of previously owned camera bodies and lenses.
Khrystyna O: I’ve got my film developer in a day. Can’t recommend enough!
Dylan Jenkinson: Super helpful staff
linda Richmond: Great service and photos
Shekinah Moyes: We came with previous model cameras and Paul helped us get the best value for the trade and suggest us a suitable newer model for our production need. We really appreciate for his help and professionalism. Thanks for the great shopping experience.
Souvik Basu: Very cheap price for photo prints. Good quality. They have an online site to upload photos and can deliver home for $5.99. That's super convenient. Photos come a bit darker than visible on screen, please brighten the photos in a photo editor before sending them for printing.
Lukas Johnston: Kerrisdale Cameras is the best! Staff member Wayne went over the top to ensure I had a great experience by helping me with several problems I was having with my camera. Very personable staff and always great quality images when developing my film :)
Cristiana Bonifacio: Been developing film photos with them for a year now. Quality is always amazing and they offer student prices as well. Knowledgable staff who know their stuff. Also got my film camera from them, highly recommend
Gillian Matear: I went in to get an Australian sized passport photo. I was quickly served and was surprised how quick and easy the whole experience was. I was in and out in about 15 minutes and was very happy with the photos I got
Todd M: Gordon was great and very knowledgeable
Amar Thanki: Amazingly patient staff, knowledgeable and immeasurably helpful! Good prices (on par with others) and go the extra mile to let you try before you buy.

Beau Photo Supplies: what do users think?
Megan: Favourite camera store. Always helpful down to earth staff. Great selection of used equipment. Various departments that specialize in a variety of services.
Alissa .R: Best film assortment in Vancouver, also a great selection of used film cameras, really great shop!
Michel Senay: Kudos to Beau for keeping rare photo supplies in stock so that us Canadians don't have to import. Questions I had were promptly answered by email, the item I was looking for was in stock and at the right price, they shipped it fast and very well packaged. Extremely satisfied by the whole experience. Thank you!
Shamus Osler: Knowledgeable staff with a large selection of analog gear & equipment.
Ara Wilmot: The staff who helped me today were knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile to help me out. Very welcoming store with everything you need.
Ellen Sjöberg: Nicole and Marley were so helpful!
Michael Nikolich: Great, friendly and very professional staff. Very helpful and honest. Love this place
Sun Woo Baik: Everyone at Beau is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Mark helped me a bunch at the print station and I got great results. Highly recommended.
L. F.: They fixed my Nikon camera in less than 5 minutes.Best camera place in Vancouver, no question about it.Thank you so much!!!
Taliesin River: Very cool photo store with tons to explore, very knowledgeable and helpful staff!
Brennan McDonald: Great selection of film cameras with a knowledgeable staff. They stock everything from entry level cameras to professional equipment such as lighting and studio equipment.
Simon Ratcliffe: I’ve been using Beau Photo, as my go to photography store for a number of years. Originally, Ken helped me set up my studio and since then I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jason in rentals, Hunter at the front counter (now Mark), Mike with printers and screen calibration, and Nicole and Meghan on all things used and film! They feel like family and I know I’m a better photographer because of them. One year later and very little has changed! Still an exceptional experience provided by exceptional people. When looking at any one of my images, I’m very aware that countless experiences, learnings and people have contributed - the staff at Beau Photo feature prominently in that extensive list.
Rosanna McNulty: One of my favourite photography shops in Vancouver. Great for professional rentals. I have bought several poles and mounts for my studio lights and background. It’s also an amazing camera museum!
Jon Morris: Very helpful shop
Bernard Ng: The most reliable place in town for photography equipment and rentals. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.
jack Zheng: The clerk is very nice. If you want to pick up a cheap camera, this is not a good place, but there are always many styles and styles of film cameras, and the film is also very complete. The price of the film is also very reasonable, and you can even buy it for developing. I have coveted the Hasselblad in this store for a long time, and there are some cameras that can be offered for bargaining. This store is more like a customer-to-customer platform. I really like this store!
Kirk Chantraine: Very nice, candid staff who were super helpful. Great selection of new and used gear, and also rentals to try out.
Ingo: This review is mostly about the used film-camera department, because that is where I buy the most things. I have only made one digital purchase (thanks, Mike!), which was also a good experience. The staff at Beau Photo's vintage camera counter work hard to keep me coming back as a customer. I started visiting the store about ten years ago. By now they know what kind of old cameras I like. Sometimes they even email me to tell me that an interesting old camera has arrived, so I can go see it.Nicole's enthusiasm for all old cameras, and Meghan's friendly, ready helpfulness, have been mainstays over the years. As other staff have come and gone from the analogue department, Beau seems to have hand-picked each of them for friendliness and enthusiasm. At first I was shy to even enter the store, because I thought it was for professionals, not for hobbyists like me. Beau's welcoming staff have made this one of my favourite stores.I also work in retail. I appreciate how much energy the staff put into making each visit to the store a good visit, and I look forward to the next visit. Plus, I get to buy some cool old lenses and cameras once in a while. This department feels like a kind of community hub for old camera enthusiasts. You at Beau have built up a destination store here in Vancouver.Part of what makes this store so good is the no-B.S., unfiltered, straightforward communication. It is friendliness with real opinions, and that builds trust. And thank you to Mike in digital who sold me the Z5! I appreciate your help and advice!
M D: I just wanted to give some positive feedback. I’m newer to the ‘photography world’, and it can seem daunting at times. There are so many details, things to remember, equipment to keep up with…and want to thank you for assisting me with it all. I always try to get assistance from Nicole, when I visit. She has a perfect combination of knowledge & patience (with my million questions and overthinking. Lol). It’s great to go somewhere that the employees are approachable and trustworthy…in my travels, I realize this is a rarity. Thanks again!
Jovin Shumbusho: I needed to print something using an inkjet printer and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I has some issues with photoshop and they guided me through each step and provided clarification on different settings. Great service!
Tomo Tanaka: I have been shopping at Beau for over 35 years and love the store and the staff who work there. They are my go-to store for anything photographic. They have supported me extremely well from my early film days to current digital technology and are very knowledgeable and friendly. Beau has the best selection of analogue cameras, film and darkroom gear in Vancouver.Beau has always been a strong supporter of the photographic industry and professional photographers for many years.I look forward to their newsletter every month for advice and updates on the latest photo gear.

Broadway Camera: what do users think?
Vlad Zymovin: Great store and professional crew
Ergün TEKİR: These guys are awesome!Yes I have come to this store to buy a camera bag, atomos battery and a cleaning gel. So they approached to me very kindly and professionally. They treated me so good and I thought that I should post something about it.Since I entered the store they welcomed me as it supposed to be, they explained everything very well, and compared other stuff eventhough I didnt excited at all. And at the another time, I had an issue with my gimbal+lidar combo. So they generously let me use their own gimbal to understand where did I make a mistake. And they made no profit on me at that time. So thank you for your gorgeous help.To sum up, if you are looking for camera or something related cameras or you need help about your gear, this is the correct address in Vancouver! Hope they will continue the way they do.🙏
cem demirli: I have gone this store to make my desicion more clearly between sony lenses and they were very helpful. No longer, i’m clear.Thank you.
Joel Kaplan: Great customer service and input
Emi P. Hoang: We had good experience with them! Really helpful staffs
Gurpreet Singh Photography: Very Coperative staff 😊
Ivan Chan: The manager at the store is pleasant to talk to, is knowledgeable and is very friendly. I would recommend Broadway Camera to camera enthusiasts and professionals.
Adriandr: Great place!
peter absolon: The manager of Richmond store was very helpful. He upgraded the firmware of my Sony 200-600 lens while I was waiting. Great service. Thanks a lot.
Sadie Teufel: Wasn’t informed of final sale policy only to be told smugly by the person on the phone that “they only sell new products”. I tried to return two days later a BRAND NEW UNUSED PRODUCT. Staff member was smug and a little too happy to say that. YIKES.
Hampus Danielsson: The personalities, skills and knowledge is top of the line. I won’t be going anywhere else!👌🏻
Ksenia Pauch-Nolin: I can't for the life of me remember the name of the man who helped me out here yesterday, but he was so so kind. I bought a pack of portra 400 film here yesterday and the man who sold me the film was incredibly chatty, friendly, and really knew his stuff. My experience at this store was wonderful thanks to this guy, and I for sure know where I'll be going from now on to get my film. Thank you so much!
Jon Rawlinson: The staff are great. They genuinely know and love photography and video! best camera shop in Vancouver!
Jonathan Lin: Great service. They have a wide selection of camera gear here.
Colin Lamb AKA: The Tone Wizard: Friendly, knowledgeable staff who want to help you. I will be going back soon.
Marie Van Hecke: I have purchased lenses from this store. I spoke with a sales person today asking some questions and sensed she really wasn't interested in talking to me. I was on the phone with her for 5 minutes. Hence I will not be purchasing anymore equipment from this store
Adam: Fantastic service, friendly staff eager to help without being pushy. I went in to pick up an obscure lens and they were knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re after gear that’s a bit trickier to track down.
wj: 店里有人会讲中文。服务态度很好,对相机也很了解。店里提供支付宝微信支付。
Kimberly D: A big thank you to Henry who arranged to have their last Canon 90D transferred from their Surrey location to this one for my fiancé to pick up. He was easy to communicate with, quick to organize the transfer (it was picked up and moved over that same day for me to get it), courteous and knowledgeable when my fiancé came in. We originally were going to buy from a camera store on the North Shore but their customer service was very disappointing when I asked to have their 90D moved from another location with the intention purchasing it that day. That was not the case with Broadway Camera and in the future I will definitely be back to support their business!
Sevan Gunbilir: Best place to buy sd card, Camera or tripod.
Adam Woodhouse: Had a fun time here with Steve? The British guy.
