C Yee: Savio did a wonderful job in educating me with certain appliances and he successfully found me a Samsung kitchen appliance set that fit my budget.The serveral times I visited him at the show room, he was patient with my questions, personable, and helpful in helping me make a decision.The delivery team was pretty good and friendly too. Unfortunately, they had to walk an extra distance to deliver my appliances due to a rule Trail Appliances has; they could not park their truck on my driveway.
Martin Staffolani: Alberto Vergara helped me find the right hood fan for my place which was a challenge due to lack of stock and delivery delays. He made this happen! I am grateful and happy with Trial service and staff camaraderie. Thank you!

A Boston: Ive shopped at Trail at least 3 times now for washing machine/dryer, microwave, dishwasher, fridges and possibly more. It's good to know a salesperson. I've used the Bouwman brothers; they keep on top of the reliable models and make good recommendations.

John Lin: Similar to other posts, Nader was great to deal with. I ended up buying a Whirlpool dryer after changing the order a couple of times. His professionalism and service were outstanding. Super patient and even processed the amended order on his day off! Prices are very competitive. I'll definitely be contacting Nader again for our next appliance purchase.

I wandered around for a few minutes, no one acknowledged me in the slightest, two were busy with other customers, one was on his computer. All I wanted was for someone to say “hi” or “I’ll be with you in a minute”, anything! I finally asked the guy on the computer if he could help me & he reluctantly told me he wasn’t a salesman. I walked out feeling very ignored.

Please dp yourself a favour and shop anywhere else for your appliances. Before you buy they seem okay. After they have taken your money and installed the product it's a nightmare.
Kian Dowedoff: The initial experience was as if I was shopping at a pawn shop. I asked for a price on a product and was given a response along the lines of 'how much are you willing to pay?'. Then there was an odd and unnecessary interaction of "having to check for a better price with the manager", when the pricing was clearly listed on the website... After purchasing the product, I was given a pick up address that was about half an hour away from the originally represented address. Their hours are during 10am-5pm, which is during my work day. So, now with this unexpected extra hour round trip, I had to take the afternoon off. When I went to pick up, it was a warehouse with a door that stated "Ring Bell" and the door was locked. There was no bell to ring. So I was standing in the rain for 15 minutes until somebody happened to open the garage door. During this period I tried to get ahold of the sales rep to get access, and didn't get a response until a half hour later. Overall I would not recommend dealing with these folks if you don't have to.

Cheryl B: I did not want to give it one star. We ordered a brand new Kitchenaid range and paid for the removal of our old one. The new one arrived damaged. We called the delivery 10 min after delivery and they told us they could not come back to contact the store. Called the store and we were directed to fill out an online form. It's been 3 days we can not use the one delivered as it would not be accepted for return and they have not exchanged the damaged product they delivered. Aweful service and the customer service is TERRIBLE! I would never buy from this company if anything is wrong it is a huge hassle and they are not helpfulADDITION: see below post saying please reach out to an email from their team. It is also false I reached out to that email days ago and have not heard back! Poor customer service BEWARE!

David Heyduck: 1 star for good price but service and execution were terrible. If you live close to a CSA warehouse, it's probably no issue to pick up your appliances one at a time as they arrive (but really, who has that time?). I'm 8 hours, one way, from the nearest warehouse. I ordered 6 appliances and they would not hold them until all were available for pickup. I agreed to pay in full so that they could hold them, this was against policy. So for months, CAS painfully sold and re-ordered our items until randomly 5 of 6 were available. They would not hold those 5 items as we waited for the 6th item but CAS suggested that if I paid to ship them, I could ask CAS to ship the last item at no cost, so I paid to ship what was available. Last item came several months later (a year after ordering), I asked for shipping, they refused. They quoted me 1200$ shipping for a 1500$ item. I asked for a mere 200$ credit so I could arrange my own freight, they refused. I cancelled. Never again.

Richard Outhwaite: We went to ALL of the appliance stores (very draining!) and CAS had the best prices around! Hossein was great and not too pushy. I've seen a few people commenting they won't give a formal quote, which I get is annoying. But, for these guys who work to give the best prices straight up, its sucks to have your competitors price higher and just price match if any consumer notices. They also had the best warranty at 3 years standard.

Amy L: Fred Z at Coast was the best!Firstly their website is fantastic, it allows you to input all the dimensions of your current wall oven which generates compatible options. This really allowed me to research the brands and models before going in to the store and it saves so much time! Their online chat option is great. I communicated with a gentleman (I think it was Melvin) and he was able to assure me that the new wall oven would fit appropriately. He really took the stress out of this experience. The oven was for my 84 yr old mother (she’s not a fan of computers so our options were limited). The next day (Saturday) we’re turned up at Coast where we met Fred as soon as we entered the premises. We never felt pressured, he was knowledgeable, thoughtful of the needs of my mother, efficient, pleasant to work with and he also helped us arrange the installation. We were contacted that weekend by the installation team and by Tuesday at lunch we had a beautiful new wall oven!The installation team were equally impressive. They were prompt, friendly, respectful of her home, completed the installation with no damage to the existing cabinets or floors. The entire team was exceptional! Thank you Coast! Especially Fred!

This is by far, the worse customer service experience I have had in my life. I will never use this store again, and would highly recommend staying away from their business. I called Trail Appliances instead and just spent $1200 there. All because the salesman at Coast was too lazy to help and and instead wanted me to come into the store without any assurance that they had the product I needed. Basically he was just not willing to go to any effort for a $1200 sale.Whenever a business treats you like an annoyance, instead of a customer who pays their wages, stay well clear! Unbelievable how arrogant and dis-interested they are. It has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I will now actively discourage anyone I know from going there. If there was an option for less-than a one star review they would not even get one star.
Lianna Klassen: So my husband and I walked into Coast Appliance here in Vancouver to purchase a stove. Our stove had died so we needed one right away. There wasn't a customer to be seen which should have been a red flag right at the beginning. The sales staff that helped us did so begrudgingly as if we were disturbing her and then told us at the end that they had no stock on site or available for at least 3 months. Then stayed at her desk and didn't look at us again...didn't even say a goodbye. Maybe Coast is working mainly with contractors now but don't think we will go there again. Weird experience honestly!

Fariba Rocker: I needed a stackable washer/dryer in a hurry. Mehrdad Shekarlab was the right salesperson to help me. He suggested the most suitalbe one for the space and the delivery and installation happend very quickly. If I ever need any other appliances, I will go to Mehrdad. Top notch!

Tim Des Lauriers: After being an established customer and purchasing multiple appliances they treated us terribly. Our washer broke and they sold us 2 separate machines that they defaulted on delivering. They confirmed they had them, took our money and then defaulted on delivery because they didn’t really have any. This wasn’t a computer glitch this was dealing with real people who confirmed they had them and “this time we really mean it.” Use another vendor as these people are incompetent.

I had been doing quite a bit of online research and had visited a competing appliance store the day before but was not feeling I had enough knowledge to move forward yet. I was helped out by the very kind, Mehrdad Shekarlab, who was helpful and provided the most reassuring and knowledgeable advice. He patiently walked me through all the options, explained all the important features, shared perspective and valuable advice and was never pushy. He made sure I had all the important information so that I could make choices easily and with confidence. At every step he took great care to provide the highest standard of service, backed up by supportive and excellent advice.We have placed our order for washer and dryer now and will shortly be placing our order for our stove. Furthermore when we renovate our kitchen and are in the market for a few more appliances, we will be returning to Trail and to get the assistance of Mehrdad.

Christopher Lee: I just purchased 4 NEW APPLIANCES from Trail -fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave. Fred Norman was my salesman and I was so impressed with his product knowledge, experience, suggestions, and professionalism. He was very personable and extremely helpful.
Jen Agrippa: Bought a supposedly new Samsung washing machine at the Richmond location. Got home, water came out upon installation and soap suds and smell of soap inside of the machine itself. Sold me a USED washing machine for over $1000. When I called them they offered me $50 refund. Joke. Zero stars.

The overall experience has been very frustrating.The delivery crew came to our house and wouldn't install our dryer because it had a dent. The customer service rep said it would take another week for them to come back. After telling them we can’t wait that long and making several phone calls, they came two days later with a new dryer. When the delivery crew came for the second time, they were missing the stacking and it would take another 2-4 business days to get the stacking kit. The warehouse is literally 20 minutes from our place!When I called the Olympic Village store to discuss the situation, the guy on the phone was very rude. He spoke to me like I was inconveniencing him for calling.

Second, we were nervous about actually getting our appliances given the pandemic and resultant supply chain issues (it's rough these days), and getting everything in time to work with our renovation schedule. J-P Bach: Ordered a miele dishwasher. Received no delivery or installation assistance from Midland. Miele kept changing delivery date and then neglected to line up an installer. Had to go it alone and find and hire my own installer. Had the new dishwasher sitting in my kitchen for over a week and then after installation I had to hire a service to remove the old one which took several days. Midland provided no value at all. Miele neglected to reverse their multiple charges for installation as agreed and when they finally got around to it they told me I had to wait four weeks. Midland could have been far more proactive. But they just sell. Between miele and midland I lost at least 8 hours of time and all miele had to say was essentially “we didn’t meet your expectations”. And weeks later still no refund from miele
Carl L.: We ordered a new oven because our old one broke unexpectedly, they said they would have it delivered by the first week of June. We hear nothing about it by the second week so we call and they tell us we will be getting it around the end of August. We then call to speak with the salesman and he said that he actually does have the oven but he has to call to see if anyone else wants it and he’ll call us back. He does not call us back and we end up ordering from Best Buy and get the stove in two days after ordering. Turns out they just oversold the ovens and didn’t actually have one to give to us. We can’t go that long without an oven or stove.Also, they said as a favour for going with them, they will give us an air fryer for free (usually you have to buy it extra). Actually, it’s not extra, it comes with the oven normally and you don’t have to buy it anyways.

David Alsop: My 55 year old second fridge died and I needed to replace it quickly. Dropped into the showroom early on a weekend morning. Stuart, the manager, greeted me and after determining I was looking for a basic fridge showed me two options. I selected one at a good price and we did the deal within 20 min. Delivery was set for four days hence and it was on schedule and efficient, including removal of the old beast. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Coast.
Peter Teevan: I just wanted to touch base and say "Thank You Very Much" to Coast Appliances and specifically to Gautam - our sales rep. We needed to replace an aging stand-up freezer which was close to dying and so needed something fast. Your website showed the new Whirlpool to be in stock... so I called Thursday morning to confirm it was there and Gautam answered the phone to confirm that it was. 20 minutes later I was in your showroom, Gautam got me fixed up and briefed me on the delivery and recycle/take-away procedures. Bruce Andrews: Supply Chain IssuesOur oven stopped working 2 weeks before Christmas so we went on the hunt for a Wolf replacement but all retailers advised it would be 6 months or more due to Supply Chain issues. We found Robin at the North Van store was the most forthright sales associate of any retailer. We kept in touch and Coast Appliances/Robin came through by redirecting a stove from another location to solve our problem.We are so very happy with their attitude and efforts.Bruce and Mary Andrews
Peter Smith: We were looking for a new washer/dryer to replace an aging machine in our tenanted apartment. Our goal was to find a replacement as quickly as possible so our tenant wouldn't be inconvenienced. After three weeks, and two unusable machines, we asked Coast Appliances for our money back, and will be going to another store.Here's what I learned throughout this ordeal. I hope you find these hints useful.1) It appears as if the manufacturer only does minimal testing on the machines (in one case the door lock was missing, and in the second, the water intake was non-functional). Both of these problems should easily have been found if the machines were tested properly.2) Always double-check the work done by the delivery/installation team. Some of them were good, but some were terrible. In one case, the installer spent 10 minutes wondering why there was no water coming into the machine, and even asked me if I had turned off the water supply. After about 15 minutes, the machine (with no water in it) went into the spin cycle, so he declared it to be working correctly, and then immediately left the apartment. Only after the spin cycle was finished did we see that it wasn't working. We tried to call him back (on his phone), but got nothing but defensiveness.3) The store manager is unlikely to help you with machine failures, especially if the installation team has already left the building. For about a week I pleaded with the manager to send the installation crew back, to either test it properly, replace the machine, or take it away. The response I consistently received was "it's a warranty issue now, so the manufacturer will need to replace the broken parts". I'd give him a failing grade for "ownership" and "customer experience".4) To this day, I have no idea how long the replacement parts would have taken to arrive (I heard estimates of 2-4 weeks, but nobody really knew). I didn't want the tenant to be without a washer/dryer, so waiting an arbitrary amount of time was not acceptable. I needed a new machine that just worked, and if Coast didn't have a usable machine, I'd go somewhere else (EDIT: It took four months to get the parts!!!!!)5) There are four different companies involved in the process (the store, the installer, the manufacturer, and the service technician). They have poor communication channels, and I spent about a week trying to project manage them to get the facts straight. This lead to poor decisions being made, including a last-minute decision to cancel an appointment to re-test the machine (this was after two weeks of waiting - it ended up being another week before they eventually came back).6) Escalate early. Although the Coast customer support team spent a lot of time deflecting responsibility to one of the other three companies, I eventually talked to an escalation manager who was an effective communicator. She made sense of what had gone wrong, interfaced with the other companies, then quickly agreed to re-check the installation of the machine, or simply remove it. It took about five more days for it to eventually be removed, but it did happen.7) Supply chain issues, unpredictable work quality, and "following the rule-book, even if it hurts the customer" are still problems for us at the end of 2022, and it doesn't seem to be pandemic related. That's too bad.

Lana C: I was looking for a used 24" refrigerator. When I called I was told they might have one on hand, but that it was in storage and had to be plugged in to see if it was in working order. When I called back later that day, I was told there were 2 to choose from. The following day I went to their storefront and purchased one. I was given a 90 day warranty (parts & labour).Unfortunately, 2 weeks after the purchase, my tenant informed me that the refrigerator portion appeared to stop keeping cold. I called Maysam the next day and he promptly came that afternoon and repaired the refrigerator (replacing a timer that had stopped working).Thumbs up for the prompt and friendly service!
Liz Liz: This is my very first online review. The owner Maysam is very friendly and helpful! Last year, I bought a dryer from him and just before the 3 months warranty expire, the dryer start making loud noise. Maysam comes over on the 3rd day fixed the problem. June this year, I got a used washer from him. A week ago, tenant reported the washer won't drain the water anymore... I called Maysam, he comes over on the 3rd day and by just one peek, he showed me the issue was caused by rough handling the lid, caused a small broken part. He changed the wire to bypass the mechanical design and fixed it in a few minutes! This is a good place for used appliances. I am for sure will recommend this small business to people I know and to reader like you! Thank you Maysam!
carolmcbr: My partner and had been looking for a newer stove to put in our basement suite after our older renter moved into assisted living. The stove was not worth salvaging so we looked for a newer one at Save on Appliances. We actually wanted a stainless steel stove but with elements not a smooth surface top. We had trouble finding that. After visiting Save on Appliances, we looked at a white stove. The owner gave us a “lesson” on what to look for in a used stove. He is very knowledgeable.We decided to buy the white stove he promised would be clean by the following Tuesday. We paid him a deposit and said we would pick up the stove on Tuesday. After going back to look at the suite, we realized that a white stove really ruined the look of have matching appliances, but we could not get through on the phone to ask if we could change our mind. We even texted and it was not received. On Monday, we received a text from the owner with pictures of the beautiful clean white stove that was “ready for pickup”. We felt so bad, but called and asked if he would consider us cancelling. He was very gracious and said no problem. He told us to come back and pick up the deposit.As others have written, this is a truly honest man doing well with hard work and understanding. He has lived here for 15 years and certainly has made a great contribution to an area in our society that is needed for many people. Don’t be put off by the crowded area. The stove looked awful when we saw it but was clean and perfect in the end. His understanding of our situation was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend trying this store for your used appliance needs.
Aaron Richards: When I bought my fridge I was upset because there was there was no written mention of a warranty even though we discussed a 3 month warranty on the phone. I have had a few very bad experiences with shady used appliance stores in the past I was pretty worried. However there was something in the owners voice that made me trust him on his word.My fridge ended up broke after a few months and I wasn't sure if the owner would honor his deal. Thankfully he turned out to be honest like I thought. To make a long story short if you want a good deal on a USED fridge and to deal with an honest man you came to the right spot.
