Hassan Makhlouf
Hassan Makhlouf: It’s located inside the SFU building, easy parking and near to transportation. You need to figure your way inside the university building to reach it . We had to ask several people inside to know where it’s located in the building. We attended one of the Halloween nights there. Kids liked it . The place is well maintained. Although it’s too small area but staff and volunteers were doing great effort.
Dorcas Marshall
Dorcas Marshall: interesting and historical place
Melanie Gilbert
Melanie Gilbert: Went here with my two young boys, thinking it would be a great learning experience for them. They were very bored :( I thought it was really interesting though. But I don't recommend to take your kids.
G
G: It was the right amount of archaeology mixed with just a hint of ethnology.
Kristy C
Kristy C: I've been here many times and it always feels like there's something new worth seeing. I love the densely packed international section with all the drawers to pull out and explore. It's like a little treasure hunt every time!
Josh Franklin
Josh Franklin: A well maintained Museum having beautiful sculptures, carvings and historicstructures are also good. There is a profile of a complete rock slab on a far wall, good for photography.

S0far S0G00d
S0far S0G00d: Though the room is small, the place is filled with information. Many of the artefacts exposed are described in great details. It also has a slice of the soil built into a wall with the first evidence of our early ancestors coming from Asia to come across North America. I would have given 4 stars, but I am giving 5 since Mr. Rob Rondeau took time to show me personally some of the exhibition and also took time to hear and add on to my curiosity and enquiries about themes I have shown and would like to extend on in class with my grade 3 students. I had a wonderful experience!
Crystal Cao
Crystal Cao: Quite small, just one room within the bigger university building. It is almost completely dedicated to the history of Aboriginal people's rather than archeology of a broader range, which might not be of interest to everyone. There is a great profile of a complete rock slab on a far wall, showing all the layers of BC with explanations for each layer.
Keila Betancourt
Keila Betancourt: Good job
Shane Mulholland
Shane Mulholland: Lots of concrete but a nice building on top of a large hill. Pretty easy pay parking.
Mo shay

Mica Jensen
Mica Jensen: A cute museum nestled in a corner of Simon Fraser University. Not open many hours of the day unfortunately.
James Linley
James Linley: Great place to be. I just dont know how they assembled all these rare and beautiful works of art.But can they not expand this museum and add some exotic items that would interest the public to come and visit.

Talking to guides/volunteers really enhances the experience because they have intimate knowledge about so many artifacts and pieces there. Location is superb and the setting is an experience itself. Parking is a little expensive and so I would recommend transit and enjoying UBC’s campus as well

kurtis Hartwell: Always a fun visit to science world. My kid loves all the activities and talked about it all the way there telling us what we were going to do. Very busy as we were there on a long weekend. Bring your own food if you are there during peak time waited 30mins for whitespot. Skin exibit was neat and seemed small compaired to other exibits in the past.
Christopher G
Christopher G: An absolute must see if you are in Vancouver! Great time for both the kids and the adults with something for everyone to see. Located right on the ocean, there are plenty of places to have a nice picnic when visiting or take a walk on the sea wall. Accessible by transit. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It can be a little expensive to visit so keep this in mind when doing so.
Connie Ono
Connie Ono: This was my first visit and I'd have to say it's not what I expected. I was looking forward to their Reptile World Exhibit where you can "feel" the skin of the various cold blooded animals but was disappointed, since most of them were interpretations to the real thing... It felt like the Telus Science Centre in Calgary but with more space and things to interact, but in all honesty, this is more for the younger generations to explore and build a love for science. As for parking, I HIGHLY recommend going early to get a parking spot, especially if it is near the science centre because the space is really crowded that if you are driving one of those big Ford trucks, you wouldn't be able to park if it's jammed packed to begin with. Otherwise, it is best to take a subway or sky train, or the aquabus to get here. And yes, purchasing a ticket in advance is always best to avoid waiting in line.
Pietro Biondo
Pietro Biondo: Il museo è sicuramente ben fatto. Lo consiglio per famiglie con bambini. Agli adulti potrebbe risultare un po' troppo bambinesco per i miei gusti.
Barbara Leao
Barbara Leao: It is wonderful for kids because there are lots of fun games that can teach them science, but not as much for adults. I thought it was more a museum type of thing, but I was mistaken. Sabrina Weber
Sabrina Weber: We did the "lost souls of gastown" tour with Sandra...she, and therefor the whole tour was GREAT! Interesting and entertaining at same time..absolutely worth every canadian dollar 👌
Digpal Singh
Digpal Singh: I did the “Lost Souls of Gastown”. Tracey is amazing storyteller, she made the whole experience even greater than I expected it to be. She didn’t break the character throughout the tour and kept everyone engaged with humour and emotions. Her speech was clear and didn’t felt like somebody is just reading out lines.
Esmé Kovacs
Esmé Kovacs: The Forbidden Vancouver Really Gay History Walking Tour with tour guide Glenn was an incredibly powerful and moving experience. Glenn is an expert storyteller who makes the stories of 2SLGBTQ+ people and communities come alive. You will laugh, cry & learn so much. It really made me feel connected to the city's past and the myriad ways this continues to impact and intersect with our present. I fully recommend this tour, it was such good value.

Reni Lavigne: Absolutely amazing!! I love history and this tour tells a lot!! Keep it up!!
Rey
Rey: Rachel aka. Sarah is such a great storyteller. With speech difficulty, I can barely understand the entire story unless I can see her lips. However, her acting is quite touching, I almost cry when it comes to the moment when Sarah cries at the door which separates her and her ill sister.

Tara McConnell
Tara McConnell: I had a great experience on this tour! Our guide Glenn was very knowledgeable about the city, and told us many interesting stories while we walked about Downtown on the Monumental Scandals Tour.
Nicolás Peña
Nicolás Peña: We did the lost souls tour with Stewart. We were a group of three and two of us were running a couple of minutes late, and despite knowing this Stewart started a couple of minutes early and we had to find the group at the second stop. This really dampened my mood as it felt unprofessional. Plus Stewart lost a big group of people midway through the tour. The tour also included a part where they made us jaywalk just for the sake of a lame joke... why?? The storytelling was good for the most part although the stops were often in the uglier streets.
Hichem Bouandel
Hichem Bouandel: That tour was awesome. Sandra the story teller was excellent and entirely talented the way she told us the stories. I would highly recomment that programme for anyone who is planning to visit Vancouver.

Marisa Zed: First off entry is FREE!!!! That alone deserves 5 stars. Really inclusive in the representation of exhibits. Different languages and different ways to view the exhibits. There are many ramps for strollers and wheelchairs but because the houses are old there can be ledges and inside the homes can be quite narrow making it difficult to navigate. Clean bathrooms and places all around the park to sit and/or eat.The carousel was awesome!!!! The staff running it were so great and the ride itself seemed to last forever. The insta opportunities are plentiful; its definitely a hidden gem and fun for all ages, young or old. Although I did get nauseous near the end LoL. The carousel does cost but its minimal and preserves this original landmark so please contribute. :)

Google User (M. B.): I really enjoy coming here in the summer time to imagine a much better and simpler time. However, their website blocks access if you're using an adblocker or any anti-tracking browser extensions. That's really shameful that the BBVM wants to track your movements. This is so not cool.Additionally, last week when I was in the area, there was a great deal of construction on site and it was closed.Even during the summer the "museum" keeps "winter" hours and closes at 4:30 pm.

Canadian BC
Canadian BC: Went there today, disappointed.First they cancelled heritage clothings.Today I entered and East Indian music blasting on museum's speakers. They removed lady hats from tailor store and put East Indian turbans. That store was located on 6th. Street in Burnaby and never had turbans for sale. That store was never selling turbans!!!!?I'm property owner in Burnaby and they finance that museum with my dollar. What a stupidity. I'm never going to go there again. Plus there are display signs everywhere how white people were bad.So I'm supposed to bring kids to read that B.S.Update. Victoria Day.every year in the past we had a parade with queen Victoria, lady who looks the same as queen Victoria. Going in the car with parade and dancers.Today they cancelled that and brought some East Indian dancers?!That is not what I am interested to see in Burnaby village museum. I am interested to see that when I go to India, I don't see any of Canadian heritage there. We should cancel that museum right away, because it is nonsense. Why I have to pay as a tax payer for that?! Let Indian associations pay, or why they don't open a museum on their own somewhere else without stealing our museum?.There is not a single place to see Canadian museum anymore, anywhere in Canada. When you loose your culture, history, identity you are nobody.P.S. I spoke to my neighborhood already the ones who owns properties in Burnaby and we will go to city of Burnaby and question financing this fake museum with our property tax dollars. This fake and stolen museum should be not financed by city of Burnaby.Let them charge visitors with admission fee and if anyone wants to pay and visit them. That should be their income. So they can operate that way. Because there is nothing for us there ,We are not going there so why we should pay for it?!.

I tend to be slower going round museums than my wife, but could have spent hours here!Entry is free, but you pay for a couple of the exhibits. There didn't seem to be huge amount of parking so I assume this might be an issue at busy times. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment (visited in mid May 2023) but again, for the size of the place it could get really busy during peak times. If you are going at weekends or holidays taking your own snacks / lunch / picnic will likely save you a lot of queueing.A very interesting and well run place. We will go back when we can.
