Intuitive Art Beat: what do users think?
Marianne Domb: Coming to this studio always makes me happy. My daughters love her classes, they learned a lot, Zohar helped them with their self esteem to claim what they create in a joyful fun way.I highly recommend her classes, the best studio in town.
Ilana Binenbaum: The ultimate place to experience real joy, happiness and find your creative spark ✨️Zohar is an incredible and passionable instructor ❤️
Erica Mitchell: We just attended a 6 yr/olds birthday at Intuitive Art Beat. Zohar did a great job of managing all the kids (and talkative parents). She had all the kids (even mine who is art tentative) dancing and moving while doing a great, age appropriate art project. My kiddo was so excited to hang his art on my wall :)
Rachel Bowley: Zohar hosted my daughters birthday party at her studio over the weekend and it was so easy and fun. She had 10 little kids completely engrossed in their art projects for at least an hour which was super impressive. The space was warm and inviting and she has a wonderful way of connecting with the kids that made them feel comfortable and inspired. Rave reviews all around and I look forward to returning for a mom's art night!
Yan Huang: Weldown
Ganiyat Shittu: The class was fun, relaxing and also educative.
Mullicka Kukreja: We had Zohar facilitate a workshop at our worksite, and this was honestly the most wholesome experience ever! Every activity was excellent and her observation of, and interest in each participant was refreshing. Not an artist, but I sure came out of this experience feeling like Picasso.Definitely recommend this workshop for a fun, insightful time!!
Lauren Hershfield: amazing studio!!! It was so much fun!
Hagar Goldberg: Zohar is the most generous and unique art teacher. She is not just an amazing artist but also incredible in guiding skilled and novice artists in unlocking their creativity. The experience in her studio is much more than a painting lesson, but a celebration of art, creativity, humanity, music and life.
Gil Zhaiek: My daughter loves coming to the studio. She enjoys working on unique art pieces and feels like she can be free to express herself.Zohar creates an island of fun that feels welcoming and open to anyone.
zahi levi: Both of my kids had so much fun at Zohar's classes... They are so excited to go back for the next season...The artwork that they made there is absolutely amazing they've learned a lot of skills and I'm very proud.Highly recommended.
Padraig Kehoe: Found Intuitive Art Beat by luck, but what an important find. I had recently moved to 🇨🇦 and had a difficult time settling in but really found the classes allowed me to express myself effectively in a supportive and safe/fun environment .. Zohar is an amazing 👩‍🏫 and something extremely special about this place.. I’ve learned a lot of new techniques and methods that have given me great insight into myself and allowed me to 🎨 & think creatively and in an authentic way! Plus awesome 🎶 what’s not to like! Thank you so much for everything Zohar and intuitive art beat 🖼❤️
anna chudnovsky: My daughter (6 years old) and her friend had such a wonderful time at the spring break camp that we added on a whole other week. Their creativity was fostered, they learned tons and felt proud of their beautiful art. Zohar was a truly magical teacher, who saw my daughters skills and honoured her unique creativity and sense of self. The kids had a great time and I will for sure be signing up for another camp soon!
Chaya Rosenfeld: Zohar is simply THE BEST art teacher I've ever come across! She is joyful, open, creative, loving, and my kids waited all week to come back to the studio for their weekly classes. She always has new ideas, encourages the students to use their imaginations and is a kind and wonderful person. I HIGHLY recommend taking classes or hosting a party at her art studio!
Eilidh Ritchie: Zohar has a really beautiful way of teaching and making you feel welcome right from the start. A wonderful group of people. I was looking for an art class that was full of soul, and not overly commercial and cookie cutter, and this one was everything I’d hoped for! It feels more like an old group of friends meeting up to explore something new together in a completely non judgemental way than a class. I’ll definitely recommend it to anyone!
Lital Tamari: Me and my daughter had the best quality Momey and Me time at Zohar's studio. Zohar is very talented and professional, we learn different techniques, loved the great atmosphere and enjoyed every minute. Thank you Zohar we will definitely come back.
James Rankin: We signed up our 8 year-old for Intuitive Art Beat’s week-long spring break class, and it was the best decision we’ve made in a very long time. Our child absolutely fell in love with Zohar and could not wait to go back to the three hour class every morning. The students were exposed to and produced several different styles of art, and were encouraged to fully express themselves every step of the way. Zohar also created an amazing creative space with great music and beautiful art, where students of all ages were supported to work side by side with their peers. Our child is already asking us when they can go back!
Nathalie WOLFSTIRN: Amazing class, great teacher! The perfect space to express everything, or to just unwind. I love coming here and I always end up so happy with all my creations! Zohar is the best to teach you how to let go and go with your flow ! And she has an amazing playlist as well ;)
Tovah Paglaro: This was a wonderful team building experience for our team. Zohar is a skilled facilitator who perfectly balances playful artistic fun, with a bit of depth that gets into the kind of conversation that builds trust across the team.
LIHI R: I booked a parent-child workshop with my 11 yo daughter. I can't draw if you paid me, and so joined hesitantly... It was such a wonderful experience for both of us! The whole point is that you don't need to "know how to drew/paint". Zohar has the ability to let you feel comfortable and good enough with whatever you do. I was able to let go my inhibitions and just enjoy the activity and the quality time with my child.Actually, we enjoyed it so much we booked Zohar for a Zoom birthday party for my daughter. The activity was awesome and I highly recommend it.The studio itself is colorful, warm and inviting. Zohar has a special energy about her and the great music that surrounded us while working made us happy! I'll return for more!
M Hodge: We booked a painting session/workshop as a family activity. The two hours flew by and my teens and their friend had a great time being able paint freely and creatively. We came away with a painted canvas each and some good tips. Zohar is so personable and supportive. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking to do a paint night with friends. This is better than paint night since we got freedom to paint our canvas with our own direction.

The ArtWay Studio: what do users think?
Sylvie: I was introduced to the classes at the Artway Studio as a beginner student about 8 years ago. Since then, I have taken various classes and find them well planned, learning different techniques and applications while working on a specific project. Denna and Sonya are experienced teachers and with their guidance and support, I felt that each project reflected my own individual style. My experience with the Artway studio has given me a creative outlet that I enjoy to this day and I am proud to display my different projects around my home.
Anna F: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThese courses are awesome! Denna and Sonja are amazing teachers. I have taken several classes and always learn new techniques that reinvigorate my art practice. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or a seasoned artist, everyone is made to feel welcome and given personal attention. It’s a great community of people.
shelley goodwin: I love working with Denna! I started with an encaustic workshop and stayed on for more. Denna has untapped creativity I thought I'd lost.Denna is nurturing and encouraging - so willing to share her artistry and vast knowledge of history, colour, and technique. Denna always pushes to explore new and different ways of expression. It is a joy knowing Denna and attending her classes is therapeutic!
Cynthia MacFarlane: “Ignite Your Soul” is the perfect phrase to describe my experience at The Artway. Denna’s classes fun, interesting and inspiring. She covers a broad range of mixed media techniques. The three-hour classes allow enough time for in-depth instruction as well as individual student attention.I now see the world in a completely different way - all the beautiful colours, clouds and the way light reflects on leaves. I also appreciate the work of the wide array of artists that Denna has used as additional inspiration for our projects.I am grateful to be taking classes at The Artway. If you are looking for a place to create beautiful art and meet amazing, talented people, I highly recommend The Artway.
Sarah Hoye: My experience over 10 years as a student has been stellar. I love every class and I have learned a huge amount while having fun. My art has improved so much and the instruction from real artists (Denna and Sonya) is superb. They are inspiring and encouraging, creating a very positive classroom environment. I highly recommend taking classes.
M Wall: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThe ArtWay is a great studio for painting classes. The instructors, Denna and Sonya are warm, generous and supportive. They inspire their students to works beyond what we imagine we can do. I can fully recommend the Artway to anyone.
Beth Stewart: I have been going to ArtWay classes with Sonya since 2013. Sonya is incredibly knowledgeable and creative in terms of mixed media. She's also a lot of fun and the classes are a true joy! Even her Zoom classes are fun and just as productive as in-person classes. Sonya has a gift of working with people of all experience levels and styles so that everyone feels good about what they're creating. When I started with Sonya, I had no painting experience. Now, I sell my own paintings and commissions. But I still keep going to Sonya's classes because they are so wonderful! (the photo is one of the mixed media projects from Sonya's class)
Turi: I have been taking classes with for over a year now with Sonya and Denna. I have learned so much from both of them and look forward to classes every week. Both artists are so gifted and love what they do. They are great at sharing techniques and exploring different styles of making art. I'm constantly challenged, learning and having fun. I love The ArtWay Studio and I'm grateful that Sonya and Denna have created a learning environment which worked during Covid so that we could all stay in touch and encourage each other as we made art together from home. I look forward to getting back in the studio soon!
Margaret Milner: I have been taking classes on and off with The ArtWay for at least 8 years, beginning shortly after retirement. I had no previous experience, other than Grade 8 art. I have learned many techniques: colour mixing, painting, printmaking, collage, transfers, encaustics, too much to list! The process is both intuitive and therapeutic. Denna and Sonya not only amazing artists and great teachers; they are also kind, supportive and fun women to be around. If you are looking for a unique experience, inspiration, guidance and knowledge, I highly recommend The ArtWay Studio.
Jenny Baker: I’ve been attending the ArtWay since 2014 - over the last 7 years I’ve been a regular at Sonya’s Wednesday night class - in person, and, during the pandemic over zoom. Sonya is a wonderful art teacher - she pushes you to learn and grow as you create new pieces - in turn this learning usually translates to life! Since attending her class I’ve made countless pieces family, friends and my own home - I even did an art show! I recommend this class to all artists new and old (in experience and age!).
Gladys McPherson: The ArtWay is one of a kind! I have taken classes from Denna Erickson for several years, beginning as a very novice artist. I have learned so much. Denna is an accomplished artist and experienced teacher who creates a welcoming and supportive context for learning. An added bonus is the creative community that has been fostered and nurtured by Denna and Sonya at the ArtWay. I highly recommend this studio as a awesome place to develop skills and knowledge in painting and mixed media art.
Edna Chan: The art classes with Denna and Sonya are amazing. The projects we work on are innovative, fun, creative and never the same. You'll explore a variety of techniques, learn colour usage, paint with mixed media, etc. The studio environment is also welcoming and empowering. It's a community full of support and encouragement, and where you can express your creativity with joy and freedom. Highly recommended!
Iuliana Zaharia: I started the claases with Denna 4 years ago. I am in love with everything that she does, the creativity that she takes out of each person. Each class is unique, every project is different, Ilearned lots of technics and a lot about colours, I can not wait every time to get into the class and completely relax and enjoy.
Lisa Farrell: Denna and Sonya have a wealth of knowledge and experience in art making and teaching to share with those that want to learn or further their own art practice. I have been going to the art way for several years and have recommended it to many friends along the way and will continue to recommend. Just go:)
Jennifer Young: This is the best art class I have ever taken! Sonja and Denna are fantastic and the groups are so much fun! I’ve brought home some beautiful pieces and my skills just keep growing with Sonja and Denna.
Penny Wong: Positive:QualityExcellent teachers, great art & wonderful learning environment!!
Ian Carter: Artway is a fabulous place to learn, meet great people and artists, be allowed to proceed with one's own ideas and compositions with guidance from Denna Erickson, who is not only a great teacher, but also a particular artist who cares about her students. Somehow, she has been able to juggle ZOOM sessions with in-house lessons.
lanni weingarten: I have been a student at the Artway Studio for 5 years. Both Sonya and Denna create a warm easy-going atmosphere that is not at all intimidating. I have really learned so much from both of them. Students are encouraged to use the lessons taught to create our unique work. There is no right or wrong way to do something. I have learned so much about colour mixing from Denna's amazing sense of colour. Each project has a series of steps that are clearly laid out, demonstrated and explained. I highly recommend these classes for anyone; from the artist looking to hone painting skills to the person that purely wants to get in touch with their creative side.
Tracy M.: Classes at the ArtWay are super supportive, flexible, and fun!
Ann Rowley: Positive:Communication,Quality,ValueThese folks are very good at encouraging the artist within us all. I enjoyed the workshop I took with them a few years ago, and although I’ve moved out of the area, continue to follow their exploits for continuing inspiration.
Kathy Ross: Positive:QualitySonya I saw your work at an art crawl event (in the days when that was possible!) and loved it so much. Thanks for keeping in touch and if I didnt live an 8- hr drive away, I would love to take your classes. Good luck

Collage Collage: what do users think?
Cecilia Mok: A wonderful children's bookstore and arts & craft store! Very family friendly. Also enjoy the decorative prints available for sale.
Caroline D Boquist: Full disclosure, Erin is a friend, but this is a treasure for kids and adults alike! If you’re looking for thoughtful gifts for kids, this is the place.
Natalja Robertsdottir: I cannot speak well enough of the service provided by this place. I live in Ontario and was sourcing an item from Collage Collage to use as a prop for a commercial my Media company is producing. I had a very specific timeline and paid extra for expedited shipping so that I would get the item in time. Long story short, this did not go as expected and after having tracking shown to be on schedule it changed last minute to show much later delivery date that was going to put a serious monkey wrench in planning props for the commercial. I reached out to Collage Collage about this and was treated so incredibly well by Erin who did everything in her power to try to fix this. It was obviously a Canada Post issue. Regardless, Erin went above and beyond in her customer service. She went personally to inquire about this at the Post Office and kept me well informed about that through email. She also refunded me the shipping cost even though I didn't ask for it. As well she went to the lengths to try to search for places in Ontario that might have the same item for me to have as backup. Thankfully, in the end I did get the item from Canada post only few days after it was supposed to and it was clear that there was a glitch in their tracking system showing much later dates. This was a very stressful process but what stands out is the exemplary attitude and willingness to show care for your customer in deed. I applaud Erin and her business for being so top notch and I 100% recommend them as a supplier of crafts or services offered if you want fantastic customer service.
Liz Wong: Cute arts and crafts/book shop. We love their stickers and quirky toys. Love browsing here and always end up picking something up!
Adele Tetangco: One of my most fave kid's stores.
Deborah Aiko Insook Kim: I love this adorable shop. They have a rule for COVID-19 as limited 4 people inside. We waited and look around for 5min. There are lots of things and make us smile. My daughter wanted to get many things and got a small dinosaur. For me colour pencils. But the price is bit higher. Maybe staples is better place if you are not obsessed in cuteness.
Kathrin Kilburn: Lovely little store with a great selection of art supplies, books, gifts, toys, decorations etc. Did most of my stocking stuffers shopping here and had great service (online order to pickup). Highly recommend!
Stanley Lau: A variety of art activities guaranteed to keep your toddler and/or child occupied for an hour or two. Your kids can sign up for regular lessons, or just drop-in; fees vary. Staff are nice, and the facilities are bright, colorful and engaging, albeit a bit small. Retail sales of art, supplies, toys and gifts are available.
Allison Rosengarten: My kids live this place! Beautifully curated products, knowledgeable staff and friendly service. All in a super cute space!
Phil W: This place is my go-to for thoughtful, fun, creative gifts for the little ones in my life. Great shop.
Sam Moth: If your child hasn’t been to the Emily Carr Institute for Arts in Vancouver, BC, Canada, -THEY WON’T CARE about you. All the reviews you are seeing here are FAKE REVIEWS. I can’t believe my review was even printed here! I went in there 3 weeks ago with my 8 year old niece, but we didn’t look “rich”, “wealthy”, so they gave use the cheaper lesser refined art quality “paint” and paper than what they gave the more “refined” looking folks. Bottom line is, if you don’t look higher up in prosperity than them, then don’t bother, Jesus Christ.
Diana L.: This place is so sweet and fun! I love the vibe here. Take a class or stay a while and get some good ideas. It’s a bit hard to find parking but it’s mostly pay parking.Very central and on Main Street. I haven’t taken a class yet, but will so in the future!
Cathy Matusicky: This shop is so inspiring, from the minute you walk in the door. So many beautifully-curated gifts and books and a long list of amazing classes and workshops. The staff are so helpful and knowledgable and my family and I always feel at home there. So happy Vancouver has this special spot!
lizzy karp: For years Collage Collage has been my go to for the most inspiring books and gifts for all the kids (and grown up kids) in my life. I worked with their amazing staff to create multiple DIY projects for my wedding too- that people still ask about! It's a must visit when visiting Vancouver or the Mount Pleasant neighborhood.
Grace Partridge: The most charming shop in the heart of Mount Pleasant. Original, cool and creative programming led by a friendly and outrageously talented staff. The selection of toys, books, art and art supplies make it THE BEST place to buy a gift for the kiddos and creatives in your life.
Tammy Lawrence: We love Collage Collage! We have been going here since my kids were little and it first opened. Love the new location on Main Street where there is a separate classroom for classes. The shop has great gift ideas, books and art supplies. Hard to leave without a pom pom, paint set or tiny animal. Great staff and you can tell they make such thoughtful choices when ordering. My 8 year old recently completed the Writing & Illustration class and he loved it. He was especially happy to have his story printed and bound into a "published" book.
Kevin Jenkins: This place is ridiculously small and the hosts were extremely rude. I'm a single dad and thought that the high prices would be worth it, but I'm here to tell you it's not. Don't even bother! I'll be instead going to 4Cats Studio up the street where my child will have more room to roam and play, with better value. Highly unrecommended.
Neil Diguangco: Hidden gem of a place. Great place for kids classes
Josh Loewen: A really neat place to bring your little one. My 2.5 year old enjoys it. The space is a tiny bit awkward.

Arts Umbrella: what do users think?
Amy Han: Great program and camps
Leo Duan: My boy really enjoyed the architecture and photography classes. Highly recommended.
Alana Couch: My kids had a terrible experience with Goldmar, a supposed "beloved, long time" arts umbrella teacher. I pulled them out after two days because it was destroying my son's confidence and my daughter just wasn't having fun. Before signing them up I called the front desk to ask if kids are required to follow art projects exactly or if they're given any opportunity for creative expression . I was assured it was absolutely okay for them to put their own creative spin on things, there's never anything they have to do, etc. That was not the case at all. Everyone in their drawing/painting class had to follow the project exactly as the teacher did it, with no allowances for creativity, to a militant degree. This class was not appropriate at all for the age range (6-8). She was apparently getting annoyed with kids who didn't follow instructions precisely, saying things like "don't put orange just anywhere, put it where I tell you to". Another child apparently drew the head too small and she erased it and redrew it for them. There were quite a few other comments they repeated to me that were said by the teacher along these lines. My daughter wanted to paint a different colour for the jacket, she was told no. She didn't like that the head was supposed to be floating and wanted to paint it lower so that it was on the man's shoulders, also no.The worst is that because everything had to be so precise, my son was afraid of doing things wrong and getting in trouble, that she wound up spending quite a lot of time telling him exactly how to draw things line by line, and she admitted doing some for him. It was no surprise that the end painting looked like it was painted by a professional artist, not by a 6-year-old, as did the piece from every other kid in the class. By the time I came to pick him up both days he could barely talk because he was trying so hard to stop himself from crying. After two days of this I pulled them out of the class because it was destroying his confidence with art.Arts Umbrella does not stand behind the quality of their classes - I did ask for a full or partial credit or refund but was told no, even though what I was told before signing up did not match with the experience of my children.  I was told if they stayed in the class the teacher would allow them more flexibility but I still felt it was a super negative environment for them to be in, and even if her comments weren't directed specifically at them they still would have known the objective was to create duplicates of the selected art and be trying to do as she wanted. The woman at the front desk is lovely, however if we had been told that with some teachers it would be okay to use creativity but with others not, I never would have signed them up (or I would have found out whether they were going with a teacher who allowed that). On the flip side, their architecture teacher was fabulous (with the summer camps they take two classes back to back, so they stayed the full week in this one). According to my kids, she said things like "If you want, you can do this.." etc, and gave suggestions for things they could do, but nothing was mandatory.  They were both thrilled with her class.I was going to give 3 stars to balance the 1 of the drawing/painting teacher with the 5 of the architecture teacher, but I took it down to 2 because of my dealings with the coordinator who didn't return either of my calls and who I had to chase down, while trying to reach out about our experience.
T T: My kids didn’t like their instructor.
Nader El-Ramly: They have really good programs.
g g: high quality art school
Peter Liu: 挺喜欢学校的建筑
Sharilyn Jackson: Beautiful building and fantastic staff!!
Tony McDougall: What an amazing place!!
Robert McPherson: This is the first time my kids have done a program in the new building, and it's much nicer. Their summer programs are always well done too.
Antonio Moniz de Sa: Amazing
Patrick Ray (Vincent's Picks): Fabulous new venue!! Same great instructors.
Mr. Cole Gallant: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueLovely place
Manuel Aguayo Redondo: 100% great
Danae Biln: Been an Arts Umbrella student since I was 7 years old and am proudly employed as an assistant since 2018! Great community:)
Melissa Taylor: They are amazing classes for my son and the teachers are incredible. Every type of class he's taken, he's loved. Definitely recommend it.
Infinerdy: Good places to send kids for visual and performance arts. Great teachers and programmes.
Rachel Jeal: Attended an outdoor musical theatre camp. Extremely well organized and prepared for facing all the Covid-19 safety regulations.
Jason Lu: A place with so much fun and imagination.
J D: The teacher all seem to be antagonistic and aggressive towards the student ant the company takes advantage of other work programs experience programs for free labor and to circumvent union rules. There is also a large amount of incompetence and pretension. Its a mistake to trust this group with your children, scary!
sootchh 1: Programs are excellent, but traffic congestion in and out is horrible.

Canvas Method: what do users think?
Nadia Chiu: I have taken several classes at Canvas Method and every single instructor I have encountered was amazing. Not only they are great artists in their own rights, they are dedicated instructors as well. They are supportive and give constructive feedbacks and directions to each student. My drawing/painting skills have improved so much with them. Highly recommend their classes!
Paul Methot: I've been attending courses at Canvas Method since the start of this year and this has helped me re-discover art as a fun, inspiring creative outlet.I began with Harvey's Dynamic Figure Drawing course, followed by Justin's Creative Figure Drawing course. The energy was positive, the courses were well structured and I left with new technical foundations and inspiration.Highly recommend the school, thanks guys!
Puneet Datewas: I’m a returning student at Canvas Method and have had the opportunity to learn from Steve, Justin & Cara - and what a wonderful experience it has been ! Every time I take a class here, my creativity soars as I learn to tap into my imagination and I also come out with a stronger set of technical skills at the same time. The instructors are great at helping you push past through your creative blocks by providing insightful feedback. Small class sizes and one -on-one feedback helped me improve so much. I didn’t know I was capable of painting or drawing like this until i started taking classes here - highly recommend taking classes here to unleash your creative potential! So much creative energy here !!
Kim Julien: I took the Jenny Saville" Expressive Colour & Mark-Making' weekend course and had a terrific time. I'm rusty and wanted to spur up my love for art and painting again, and this course did that. Our teacher, Justin, is super knowledgeable, passionate, and patient. He did a fantastic job on the course. The other students were so friendly, helpful and I had a great time getting to know them.
Ryan Engley: Enjoyed a great weekend class learning to paint flowers with Steve. Will definitely return for more classes.
Inge Bessmann Norris: I have attend classes at Canvas Method several times. Never doubt you will have anything but a great experience and come away from a class totally inspired.Thank you to Mel Williamson for great teaching, guiding fun and expressive painting and leaving very excited to continue paining.
Bittman Family: Superior instruction and helps push you past your blocks. As well as encourages you to keep goingGreat info snd feedback
oli m: Through a deadly combo of getting shamed for adult-colouring by my grandmother at my cousin’s wedding and 2 late night glasses of rosé (😬), with zero painting experiencing I signed up for the 4-week intro to expressive flowers, and man, what a great decision. Steve is not only incredibly talented artist in his own right, but he’s also a really great (and patient) instructor. He took the time to really break down all the steps so even my adhd brain could understand and apply them. As a true beginner (alongside many people who weren’t), I was delighted at the significant progress I was able to make every class. Steve somehow managed to give every student dedicated time, kept the lessons light (but impactful)— which gave us more time to paint. He also played some really good music (often an underrated skill, but VERY important) and took the time to help everyone start to figure out their own personal painting style while simultaneously making a few solid painting jokes (also a skill) that really helped the perfectionist in me loosen up and actually enjoy the process.I would highly recommend the classes at Canvas Method, I plan to take another one in the winter and booking a private class with my team at work. Thank you Steve!
Mikaela Pfeifer: I have attended 2 painting courses so far at Canvas Method and have loved every single second of them!I took my courses in Oil Painting focusing on portraits, with Cara as my teacher. I had never touched oil paints before the course and Cara taught everything skillfully, thoroughly, and with much patience. I never felt lost, or if I didn't know the next step to take, Cara was always there to assist.I learned a ton from these courses and couldn't recommend Canvas enough! It was a blast and I will definitely be returning for more!
Mary Trask: I’m a returning student to Canvas Method. I’ve had the pleasure to learn from Justin, Steve and Cara. Most recently taking the weekend workshop in creative figure and portrait painting with Justin. Justin is reallly great at pulling out the creative side of you. All 3 of them are wonderful teachers and I’ve taken so much from my time here. I’ll be back!
Anne Jopling: The weekend workshop 'Poetic Realism: A Gestural Approach' was excellent. Mel, the instructor, was clear in her plan and objectives. This really felt like art education and what I learned and experienced will be valuable in all my future painting. Small class and inspiring.
Ho (Kasuho): Took the creative portrait weekened workshop awhile ago learned lots just in two days. Justin is a excellent intructor and I had lots of fun learning with him. Will definitely return back for more classes!
Coreen Sol: Col provided constructive feedback and clear instructions. The environment was ideal and I thoroughly enjoyed the oil painting for beginners classes. I highly recommend and they provide instruction for all levels.
Katrina Ellis: I really enjoyed my experience with canvas method. The instructors are helpful and knowledgeable. The class size was nice and small so each student had ample amount of 1:1 time with the instructor. I feel like I for sure left the class with some new skills and will likely take another class with these guys.
Ema Grekovska: I love my experience with Canvas Method! This is where my drawing and painting competence soared. The setting is warm and welcoming. The classes offer dynamic and stimulating exercises that open way to imaginative energy. If you want to discover a new layer of artistic ability hidden within, look no further.
Lee Alexander: I took the portrait painting course and Cara was an excellent teacher! I looked forward to the class each week and learned a lot of useful skills. Loved the small class environment, one-on-one instruction and opportunity to paint from a live model. Would recommend!
George Benson: Have now taken two classes at Canvas Method and have been thrilled at how many amazing teachers they have and awesome experiences there.
Nicole Neuert: I recently finished a weekend Poetic Realism painting course at Canvas Method. It was really great. Mel Williamson is a great artist and a wonderful instructor. Best most productive weekend I've had in a long time.
Berni James: Poetic Realism with Mel - so fun! loved being in the studio with this group, great space. A great boost and new ideas to add to painting on my own. Really a nice and safe space, and Mel was awesome too!
Bea Martin: I've taken several courses with instructor Steve Williams, and most recently with impressionist painter Mell Williamson, and cannot recommend this contemporary atelier enough. Small class size, lots of one-to-one instruction, and great learning atmosphere. By the end of each course I've taken, I realize how much I have learned and how motivated I am to continue painting at home.

John Wu: Edith is a nice and responsible teacher who will adjust the teaching method according to the characteristics of each child. She usually encourages and guides children to try to finish the drawing by themselves, instead of substitution for children to complete the key steps to display a false result, making parents mistakenly think it is the their child’s work.
Keke Wang: Edith is a very interesting teacher.
Ekaterina Vopiyashina: Art classes for kids since 5 years old and up, small classes. Also life drawing sessions.
