Pinaki Banerjee: Perhaps the best SBI I have ever been to.Abhishek and Harshala were really attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. They even went the extra mile to help me with savings repatriation from India.The street parking is very close to the entrance of the bank.

Arlene Herauf: I normally cringe each time I have to go into the SBI Vancouver branch on Fraser street to send money to India. In the past I haven't had any luck in setting up an online account even with help from the bank clerks and would have to actually take a day off work to physically go there during their open hours as they close at 4 pm and open only weekdays.On Sep 14/22 I went there and Harshala Rannaware was fabulous. For the first time someone noticed my name was spelt wrong, hence the online account problems and she was able to fix it. Not only was Harshala very patient and understanding, she went through the entire motion with me on setting up my phone app for e-transfers which are free. She even helped me test an etransfer to myself from my other bank and that was helpful. She took the time to explain things and did not rush me. For the first time, I think SBI hired the right person for the job. Harshala was dynamic in her customer service approach and professional in her manner. Thank you Harshala for making SBI not so scary to deal with. You sure are the saving grace we needed. Other customer reviews have shared similar positive reviews about Harshala; she sure is a keeper.

Haleh Alemasoom: They booked me for a week later just for opening an account and when I finally got there it took them an hour to go through all sorts of detailed questions to setup my account. Finally they told me to come back in a day or two to open the account because I am a citizen of Iran and they need some sort of approval!!They also asked the weird question of whether I plan any visits to Iran which should be irrelevant to a bank.I have done banking with different banks in Canada and none asked such questions and they opened my account in half an hour or so.I would rather take my business somewhere else.
jess Mills: Probably one the the best banks I've ever delt with. On Monday I arrived in Vancouver from Australia and needed to set up an account as soon as possible. The lady at the reception (who's Name I forgot) was very friendly and set me up with a consultant immediately. Despite me having no previous history with this bank, I was able to set up an account with Raymond, who guided me through the process of creating a new profile, account, looked at options for a credit card, and helped do an international transfer. Despite the fact that it took me some time to find some relevant documentation, Raymond was very patient and understanding that I had just come off a thirteen hour flight,. He also went the extra mile and gave me some advice on where to obtain a new mobile phone plan and a social security number. The other staff members including Tanner who was working at the hsbc premium desk were just as friendly and helpful. All staff members at this particular HSBC branch should be highly commended for their outstanding customer service and knowledge. They honestly made my first day in Canada so much easier and less stressful. Thanks guys, and keep up the good work.

This is after they let someone physically go into the branch and process transactions on my account without verifying ID. Closing my account with TD permanently. Yikes.
Paul Donovan: We have been customers here since TD opened this branch. Sometimes there are new workers that are being trained to the job and sometimes there are customers that have complicated transactions and we need to wait a while till it’s our turn but then we have always been treated well and are not rushed through the process. While waiting in line I try to have my card and paperwork ready for the people behind me.Friendly and competent staff.

Stan Kriventsov: I've had to deal with about 10-15 different employees at this branch over a period of one year, and most of them (with rare exceptions) were nice but really incompetent! Stay away if you need anything more complex done than simple deposits/withdrawals.
Elisa Tran: This branch does not train their staff well or the staff at this branch are not very motivated. The truth is probably something in between. Save yourself some time and go to another branch. I went to this branch to get funds transferred from Ontario and because I was worried about the deadline, I requested this document be faxed. The individual helping me said it would be fine if we just wait and I had no reason to not trust him. Two weeks passed and I still did not receive a confirmation. I called back to speak to him and requested help to fax the documents and he still told me to wait. I ended up seeing another advisor at TD Dunbar and my documents were faxed right away. I received confirmation from Ontario THE NEXT DAY that my documents were received and approved. Don't waste your time at this branch.
Rustam Kovhaev: I am giving 5 stars to this joint only because of honest people that work there, and because of one particular employee, name of whom I will not be sharing here. That employee recommended me to ditch expensive TD mutual funds, and to go with low cost ETFs and recommend Canadian Couch Potato website/resource. Power to the people, amen brothers and sisters.

Jia Yun: It was really kind of the staff at HSBC bank willing to help me break a few of my big $100 notes to smaller ones ($20) although I didn't have a bank account with them as I was just a tourist! Matt Lewis: Absolutely useless bank. Phoned HSBC to request a new bank card, they inform me I have to request at my nearest branch. Come into the branch and teller along with manager says they can't help me and to call HSBC.
David Liem: After changing your phone or phone number, you can only regain access to your online banking app by calling the hotline . If you forgot your password and phone banking pin, they will lock your account and ask you to go to the branch to identify yourself and unlock your account, but the branch can't help you to regain access to the online banking app. You have to call the hotline. So an in-person identification at the branch is not good enough to give you access to online banking? I left a complaint in the call 'that is monitored for quality purposes' and I am still waiting for a 'manager' to call me back and inform me that they finally have fixed this flaw.

J Y: This is my second bank after closing my account at CIBC.Not happy with their debit card limit and they won’t give me a MasterCard. I banked with them since I was 12 yrs old to 2012.I tried to deposit my paycheck and the Brown Bank teller was rude that I didn’t bring my bank book.I closed this account because of they limited my access to my funds and experience banking with them.
John Wang: I would rate 0 star if I can.I am requesting the TFSA transfer. One month later, the funds are still on my account. During this long journey, more than 2 online/telephone complaints were submitted. The TFSA representative at this branch were trying to contact me afterwards.This bank welcomes all the money in, but not willing to help you to withdraw them. We can consider the customer service as "extraordinary" .
