Cole's Guitar Lessons: what do users think?
楊井博士: Cole is an excellent teacher. He is very professional, positive and friendly. He makes classes fun to learn. Highly recommend.
Jade lanore: Cole is an excellent, inspiring and thoughtful instructor and is also considerate and patient. He has been instructing my daughter since she was 5 years old, allowing her to pursue her own musical tastes and encouraging her to try new things, including performance and song writing. At 8 years of age, thanks to Cole, she now has the confidence, skills and love of music to play and quickly learn new favourite songs on her own. I highly recommend Cole’s classes.
Karen Campbell: Over the past 4 years Cole has taught our every member of our family how to play the guitar, from beginner chords through to advanced classical guitar to our now teenage son. He's thoughtful, creative, and his enthusiasm for music makes for a great experience.
Annemarie Kaan: Have been having lessons with Cole for 2 years now. Cole has a great way of teaching that fits with your pace and your wishes in terms of music choice. He's always patient and has the ability to impart his great talent and skills to students of all ages. The end of term concert is always fun, no pressure and good incentive to practice! I would highly recommend Cole for guitar or uke lessons.
derek root: Cole is a knowledgeable, energetic and fun teacher who imparts solid technique and at the same time instills a deep appreciation of music. He is extremely professional and warm in his communication style. Our daughter who is 11 has been taking lessons with Cole for 5 years. She started with ukulele and is now playing electric and Spanish guitar. Cole has also put a band together with other students of the same age. It’s all great and exciting! I highly recommend Cole as a guitar instructor.
holly Townsend: Hi. My name is Robin Townsend. I participated in Coles group lead guitar class. I developed a lot of new skills in a short time. Cole has been very encouraging and helpful. It has been an fun learning experience. The video lessons were particularly helpful. Thanks Cole. Looking forward to seeing you soong!!!
James Kulferst: 1st guitar class for me. Class gives me direction and motivation to learn. Classes are casual and fun. Cole is great as a patient and supportive teacher.
Rebecca Li: Awesome teacher! Great listener and open to teaching what you like.
Jeanne SBas: Cole is awesome, he's great with kids and adults. My boy learned quite fast with him :-)
stanley cw fung: I feel Cole loves what he does and makes you feel great when you are learning and improving. He creates a very comfortable environment for a beginner student.
tim welsh: Cole is just the right instructor for our son. Cole keeps him engaged, and successfully challenges him to learn new things. In the 4+ years Cole has been his instructor, our son has progressed from being a new learner to being accomplished with the ukulele, guitalele, acoustic guitar, and electric guitar - and Cole has got him singing at the same time. We hope Cole is our son's instructor for years to come.
Trevor Thomas: I recently completed my first term learning the ukulele with Cole. He is a great teacher – kind, patient, and passionate about teaching. The lessons were structured around learning chords through playing songs. Cole is very positive and encouraging, and he allows his students to progress through their own discovery, experimentation and learning. Cole provides a video summary after each lesson, which is very helpful. Highly recommended.
Lesley B: Cole is a fantastic dedicated teacher. He truly loves what he does and it shows. Our daughter started with him playing keyboard as part of a kids band he was putting together and private guitar lessons. She had been paying guitar for a couple of years, but she made huge improvements in only a couple of lessons with Cole. With the band, he has encouraged the kids to busk and play gigs, volunteering to drag his equipment along and help them set up - he goes above and beyond.
Jonathan Wong: Cole is awesome! The classes are small groups which is great and Cole sends a video of what we covered in class which makes practicing easy. Highly recommend!
Paul Whittle: Great teacher and the group classes are fun !
David Crowe: I really enjoy my weekly lessons with Cole. As a beginner he has helped me improve tremendously over the last six months. A great class and a great guy!
George Hoberg: I took beginning guitar lessons from Cole and he is fabulous. I was quite nervous about it, being 61 and not having had any music training. But has been very effective - patient, calm, and manages to make learning fun. I took a group lesson from him and it was a nice way to learn. I highly recommend Cole's Guitar Lessons!
Adam Henderson: Cole's a great teacher and customizes his approach to the individual student.
Amanda Pitre-Hayes: Cole is a truly exceptional teacher. He put together a super fun group of us for our intermediate lessons that resulted in an experience that was both social and instructive. He is super good at meeting you where you’re at as a student. Stretching you when you’re ready to grow, and bringing you back into the fold if you’ve been too busy to practice for a spell. Positive, efficient, fun... Can’t say enough about his talent as a teacher. Have learned so much from Cole and am already looking forward to the next term.
nathan Matthews: Cole is a fantastic teacher! If your child has an interest learning to play an Instrument, Cole is a very patient and thorough teacher, his instruction had made my son's enjoyment of playing drums grow and grow!
Kathy Wong: Cole is an excellent teacher! He takes a very positive and engaging approach to his lessons. He is always introducing my son to new and challenging pieces of music, and he always goes the extra mile by providing additional instructional videos and such to his students. Not many, if any, other teachers do that. And he often provides other support for his students outside the classroom, helping with gigs and with choosing/purchasing the right instruments. He's quite dedicated to his students!

Blue Guitar Studio: what do users think?
Kelly Ho: I’ve been taking lessons with Adrian for 6 months and have learned a lot of skills and techniques in that time. I have made lots of progress. He is a fun and engaging instructor!
Henry Tran: I had Oswin as my instructor for past few months - he is an excellent teacher - very knowledgeable and a skilled guitarist. He helps correct my technique and provides good materials for progression in my electric guitar journey. Very glad I found him! Highly recommend!
Kat Bykova: I've been taking lessons with Adrian for about 6 months now and have improved tremendously! I came in knowing next to nothing about how to play my electric guitar and Adrian has managed to teach me how to take apart and learn just about any song I want, in addition to equipping me with the technical skills needed to play fast paced/complex solos. Overall, I'm shocked at how much he has helped me progress in such a short time and I know that I would not be where I am today without him. Adrian, I can't thank you enough for making the painful learning stages a fun and bearable process. You're the best!
Isabelle Bertrand: My partner and I have been taking a mix of private and shared lessons with Lenny for almost a year now. We couldn't imagine a better instructor as he is the most patient, supportive and enthusiastic teacher. All of his clients, from kids to adult beginners in our 30s like ourselves, greatly enjoy these fun and individualized lessons. If you are lucky enough to land a coveted slot in Lenny's teaching schedule, you will never want to give it up!!
J Leung: Oswin is a fantastic teacher who tailors lessons to your interests and needs. He has a unique ability to break down complicated musical concepts and theory into easy to understand parts. Highly recommend him if you want to take your playing to the next level.
Rhea Rao: I've been taking lessons with Paul for about a year and a half now, and i've learned a lot and had a lot of fun at the studio! I've had the opportunity to record covers and learn about the process of it, while having really enjoyable classes. Paul is a really fun and engaging teacher!
Mitchell Spencer: I have been taking guitar lessons with Paul for 6 years now and I can say with certainty that he is a great teacher.
Theo Husnik: I had no guitar experience prior to coming here, but after ten months with Paul I feel that I could play almost any song! Paul is an engaging and effective instructor!
Gavin: Well I have being coming to Paul for over six years . They really are amazing at Blue Guitar Studio . I have had lesson with Paul as well as Oswin . The teachers and the school are awesome . I was a beginner when I started . And now I am play with two group of guys every Sunday . You can get what are offering any where . Thank for all the help and guidance . Gavin
Jastina Maranjyan: It’s been 4 years of Blue Guitar for me now and I can say that the teachers here are fabulous teachers of music theory, guitar, drums, piano, I’m pretty sure they teach vocals as well. Aside from all of that they are also incredibly talented musicians. I took lessons from Gabe and he not only got me writing my own music a few months into starting but he also became my mentor and friend. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to help me kickstart my music adventure. Love you guys, thank you!
Aruna Meiyeppen: Lenny was an excellent instructor and curated lessons to my musical taste (hip hop). As a beginner, he was incredibly patient and motivating. It was a joy to come to class every week
Cameron Fleming: I was trying to self teach the guitar at home during the pandemic and it didn't really stick. I signed up for lessons with Lenny and within the first 2 classes I made more progress than in a year of self teaching. He's rally engaging and knows how to blend fundamental exercises with playing songs I wanted to learn. The office team was really helpful with bookings as well. All around I'm really impressed with Blue Guitar.
Larissa Huang: I've been taking lessons with Lenny for about 7 months and my confidence and skill level in guitar has grown tremendously. He took the time to learn what my musical goals were - blues and soloing - and designed practice exercises specifically to help me progress towards my goals. He has been super encouraging, technically detailed, mindful, and masterfully balances theoretical knowledge, learning songs, and soloing! Best teacher I've ever had.
Glenn P: I've been working with Paul at Blue Guitar for over five years. The breadth of expertise is amazing. We've worked on bass, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, music theory, singing, looping, recording... and across different styles of music.
Tristam Gieni: Our child has been taking guitar lessons with Paul for a couple years and it’s amazing to see his progress! Paul through his teaching has really given our kid a passion for guitar and music. He looks forward to his lessons every week!
Michele G: I’ve been taking guitar lessons with Adrian at Blue Guitar Studio for just over a year. He is a gifted musician, and a wonderful teacher. As an intermediate player Adrian has really helped me finesse my playing. He brings my attention to things I’ve never even thought about, encouraging me to be precise in everything I do. This has brought my playing up to a different level that even my friends notice. As a song writer Adrian is really helping me expand my options through a practical application of music theory, song writing principles and by gently coaxing me out of my comfort zone. I used to have wait for inspiration but now Adrian has me writing full songs based on 4 chord experiments. For me Adrian is the whole package and I highly recommend him as a teacher. Heck of a nice guy too!
L B: My 14 year old son has been taking guitar lessons with Oswin for about a year. Oswin is very attentive and fun teacher. I would highly recommend him!
paris sheardown: I had lessons with Adrian as my bass teacher and he was wonderful! We had great talks throughout the lesson and he catered to my interests in music and explained everything really well.
Vanessa Godinez: I had drum lessons with Adrian for a couple of months. He's very patient and encouraging; whenever you feel stuck on a lesson, he pushes you through it.I made a lot of progress in two months.
JP Gilbert: I’ve been taking guitar lessons with Adrian for few months and really enjoy working with him and have learned a lot in that time. He is a fun , engaging and has a lot of passion that he brings into his lessons. Highly recommend Adrian and Blue Guitar Studio!
Janice T: I'm fairly new to the guitar and was lucky to find the Blue Guitar Studio and Lenny. One of the things that impressed me about the studio was the fact that all the instructors had formal music training. I liked this because I felt that the approach to learning would be more structured and more conducive to improving.Lenny is a fantastic instructor. He is very professional and organized. He is also very patient and encouraging (very important when you're learning!) He is passionate about the guitar and this enthusiasm shows in his teaching. I love going to my guitar lessons!

Horizon School of Music: what do users think?
Davi Nakano (davinotdavid): I took drum lessons with Ricky Sanderson and I can't recommend him enough! Amazing drummer and teacher, he has helped me wonders in my journey through music. I really appreciate him, Sarah and everyone else at Horizon.Highly recommend the school!
Sophie Gordon: I started voice lessons at Horizon a few months ago after years and years of being too shy to sing. I have been enjoying it so much! Greg Dent is an amazing teacher. He has helped me get over my singing shyness and our classes are always so fun! Highly recommend :).
Nick Gomez: By far the best music learning centre I have been too. I strongly recommend going to them for any sort of music knowledge. Notably Danny and Chris are amazing and So is everyone else there is as well!!
Enayat Ahmady: I have been a vocal student at Horizon for a couple of months now and they have not only helped me improve tremendously but also gain confidence. I am currently training with Neil Mcmillan who is a wonderful instructor that wants to see you succeed but also makes sure to push you to improve. I highly recommend Horizon School of Music for anyone that has always thought of branching out but were too afraid to take the first steps. They are great with communication and they make sure to listen to your goals and set you up with the right instructor to fit your needs. Thank you to Kris, Sarah and the entire team at Horizon for helping me out!
Katie Boughen: Horizon has been a place of inspiration and support for me and my musical journey. They care so deeply that you find a right fit with your teacher and constantly check in with their students about how they are doing. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else and I’m so excited to keep learning and growing here❤️
Kylen Fox: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueExcellent vocal instruction from Neil McMillan, and the administration helped to pair me with him as a coach which was a great help. Great communication from everyone. Highly recommend.
Lumen Beltran: Great music school! Their team helps you get set up with a music teacher who is aligned with your interest in genre, level of ability, and personality. I take voice lessons with Rocky every Wednesday and she is awesome :) Very friendly and knowledgeable!
Suu: Best decision to sign up for lessons. Great people and awesome teacher.
Barry Petkau: Horizon has been a wonderful discovery for our son as he began learning guitar and bass over the past year. He really connects with his teacher and Jacob has inspired him to practice more to improve his playing.
L Shields: I highly recommend Horizon School of Music. I have taken both private and group sessions from Kris Schulz and Rob Hamilton and have been thoroughly impressed. Both guys are excellent players and teachers and really put an effort in to improve your playing. As I live in Seattle, I take the lessons over the Internet. Despite the distance, I feel like we are working in the same room as they are very used to dealing with online learning. I also appreciate how they keep the lessons fresh by mixing Music fundamentals in theory along with learning pieces that are interesting to me. Horizon also has a great online presence with resources that are available to students which allow you to track your progress and access various worksheets that assist in tackling particular challenges we face as musicians. The teachers at Horizon keep the process of learning fun through online workshops group concerts and the like. They provide free clinics in the community and have engaged in fundraising efforts for people who are facing challenges. They truly are a bunch of good people. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Alison Gibb: I’m a long time student of Horizon School of Music and chose to continue my music lessons online when I moved to Australia. The personal guidance from the Horizon team and their deep understanding of how to best support my learning is second to none. I always leave my lessons feeling excited about my progress and inspired by where my musical journey is going. Recently for one of the more technical lessons we recorded the session so I was able to go back after the fact and break everything down again step by step which helped a lot in absorbing the material. The teachers I have worked with have each been amazing in connecting to my musical pathway and taking me in meaningful directions towards my goals, with skill progression that feels challenging, satisfying and most importantly, musical. I always look forward to each lesson and the personal connection and tailored instruction makes me feel like a valued part of the Horizon music community.
Wanda B.K. Boyer: I am so grateful that a friend recommended I take lessons at Horizon School of Music to begin my journey with the guitar! I had an introductory call with Kris, and he asked me incisive questions to determine what instructor would best suit my level of past musical experience, my learning style, and the type of music I would be interested in learning. He was so warm and encouraging, and even gave me a tip on how to form that pesky F bar chord!Kris matched me up with Madeleine, and she is AWESOME. She is so kind and patient with me, and her teaching techniques are impeccable. I really appreciate how she teaches me, say, a scale or scale patterns, and then WHABAM it’s the basis for a song that I’m going to learn! Also, Madeleine has a really keen sense of new songs that I’ll be motivated to learn, and has really laid out clearly what I need to do to gain competency. She makes me feel like a million bucks by identifying when I’m following along with what she’s teaching, when I discover what she’s leading me towards. I’m stoked to be able to learn from such an accomplished musician and supportive teacher!
Nicolas Arnaud: I participated in both Advanced Improvisation and Music Theory online courses taught by Kelly Brown and Rob Hamilton. Both courses are excellent, I had a blast with both of them, enjoyed them very much.Kelly opened the door to so many possibilities and as always, having the opportunity to learn from him is really precious. He has lots of experience and lots of skill in the craft. He has provided a lot of guidance that is so rare to find elsewhere because not so many people have it, and very precious indeed, but most importantly because he cares about his students' development. I feel very fortunate to have him as a teacher, and sometimes I feel the need to practice more to pay homage to all the things he has shown to me and taught me :) I believe the most important thing is that I'm progressing and as Kelly said, to keep moving forward.Rob has provided an excellent resource, reference and background of music theory, but not just theory, applied theory I would say. His course was perfectly structured and delivered, and one thing that comes to mind is the huge number of songs and examples he provided where music harmony was applied, with lots of my favourites as part of them. He would demonstrate these examples live and simply, with an acoustic guitar. The course was a pleasure to attend. To be honest, we could go for hours, poor Rob, he almost had to kick us out. He has also provided reference material and books which are great to have.Having both workshops has been amazing, both teachers are excellent and they provide two very different approaches, and if I had the time, I would probably continue learning from both.I hope they become a staple of Horizon's workshops as they deserve it, the workshops are golden opportunities to advance one's learning as a guitarist and as a musician; and that they continue with a sequel of these courses in the future.I recommend these courses to anyone.
Marco Duenas: Start it playing around with my guitar when the shut down occurred. Was mostly trying to do things on my own using YouTube and web, just whatever I could find and whatever sounded good to learn. Best decision I’ve ever made after months of struggling not really knowing what to do was partnering up with Horizon School of Music. Wow, I wish I could’ve gone back and started with them since March. I wasted so much time and what a difference Kris has made in my world of music. I’m a blind person so I was very skeptical about how learning an instrument online would be. I’m in Los Angeles and was unsure if doing this on zoom or FaceTime would work. Well, it did and it Has. I love the school and everyone that I have come in contact with has been simply awesome. My progress has been so fast and so much fun. Kris listens to what I say and really Taylor’s the class for me. He thinks outside the box and it’s not there just to show me how to copy a song that I want to learn. Although that’s what I wanted, just to play the songs I like but now I’m improvising, playing a couple of tunes and singing. Wait, what? I don’t sing, well, I guess I do. Can’t wait to see where I am six months from now, stay tuned!
Melanie Reynolds: Great experience...know how, space and good people
Dave C: It's a time in life when I can finally focus on something I dearly love, music. My wife and I had stumbled upon Horizon School of Music to see a concert (Trevor Gordon Hall--amazing!). That was a year ago. The place had a certain something about it that I could not put words to, but I knew it was the right fit for learning guitar the way I wanted to learn it.I asked Kris for a recommendation from his roster of instructors. I told him I wanted not only to learn guitar, but also how to produce my own music at home. Kris told me about Kelly, so I went with it. And wow.Kelly and I have had 4 or 5 lessons to date. I don't think that even if I had traveled the world and interviewed thousands of potential teachers, I could have found a better fit than Kelly. He is exactly, precisely, what I was looking for to help me in this journey.I am deeply grateful, and looking forward to growing as a musician with Kelly and Horizon.Thank you Kris and Jillian!
Patrick Dore: Finding a guitar teacher that "fits" is no easy task especially as an adult student. Kris listened and set me up with Kelly Brown. Kelly has been challenging me since day 1, always keeping me rooted in the very basics of music while expanding my skill set. He is a very experienced and intuitive educator and, while it always hasn't seemed so, has improved my playing dramatically in a very short period of time. Isn't that why we take lessons from experts? Thanks
Michelle Jenkins: Kris and all his staff provide an amazing teaching/mentoring service for musicians of all ages and abilities. We lucked out when our guitar loving son got a chance recommendation to look Kris up for lessons (back when Kris was inspiring students from his home studio) over 6 years ago. Since then Kris has gone on create an impressive school of diverse, dedicated teachers for multiple music disciplines. The school is very attentive to individual needs and flexible in their approach and delivery (including online scheduling, payment and remote lessons as requested). Over the years we’ve racked up lessons weekly, monthly group blues and jazz sessions , weekly jam sessions/performances to one-on-one jazz guitar (with the master Kelly Brown). It is with immense gratitude that I recommend Horizon School of Music.
Linh Jiang: Horizon school of music is a great place for my daughter to have her violin lessons with Hannah. They are flexible and always willingly help adjust our schedule whenever needed. The owner Kris is very personable and my daughter was very happy to meet him so that he can help us set up our lessons. Thank you for your professionalism, friendliness and patience.
Adrian Coyne: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueHave had lessons with Rob & Rocky and they have both been outstanding in all aspects of teaching from how they interact with students to their music knowledge. Kris was also very helpful from the start in organizing lessons and taking an interest in the music I was interested in learning
Paul Ngo: I am so glad I found Horizon School of Music. Although I have just started I feel I have learnt so much already in such a short amount of time. The staff are amazing and welcoming. They definitely have made it a point to observe my needs / goals as a musician and match me with a instructor best suited to me (Kelly Brown, great teacher) If you have any plans to pick up and learn an instrument I would definitely recommend Horizon.

Jesse Phipps Guitar and Music Lessons: what do users think?
Randall M: Jesse was great! Got in for a couple hour sessions while I was on vacation. Gave me a lot of good blues knowledge! I’ll def it return!!
Blair Younghusband: Jesse is awesome! Very patient and kind and I really enjoyed our lessons.
Ravi Maharaj: Have been taking jazz guitar lessons with Jesse for several months now and I highly recommend him! He's very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. His lessons strike a balance between theory and practice that's both challenging and fun. I also appreciate his flexibility in scheduling.
Drew Senay: Great experience - Jesse is friendly, helpful, and breaks everything down to an understandable level. I’ve learned a lot and highly recommend him.

Daphne Meyer-MacLeod: Jesse is great- work with him if you get a chance! Rare to find a music teacher that is grounded in theory as well as chill fun vibes.
Justin Murray: If you are on the fence about taking guitar lessons do yourself a favor and do it! I'm so glad I reached out to Jesse and wish I had done it sooner. He has been a revelation to my guitar playing.I was self taught for many years on the guitar and never really pushed myself to get better. Since taking lessons with Jesse he has been a wealth of information for the guitar, all of which is transferable to any genre you want to play. Lessons are structured while also being tailored to what you are looking to get out of classes. Can't recommend enough!
Haadia Khalid: Absolutely INCREDIBLE teacher and clearly very dedicated in what he does.I have taken lessons with Jesse for only 4 months thus far and noticed a massive improvement in my playing. Prior to taking lessons with Jesse, I was taking lessons with another instructor for months and self learning songs online, and improved only minimally during that time. I am not exaggerating when I say that a single lesson with Jesse is equivalent to like a month of lessons with other instructors or online learning. Each class is structured and challenging; he will continually push you to do things that seem impossible at first but become very doable in the course of a few weeks. He is also incredibly perceptive so will correct mistakes that are hard to catch – like muting strings, how you are picking, etc. He is very patient and chill, so you do not feel stupid for making mistakes when learning.Jesse goes way above and beyond than other teachers. I have had to cancel classes or have run really late to class, rather than charging me to compensate the lost time (which is the standard practice at other schools) or getting agitated, Jesse will actually go out of his way to make up the lost time without charging a fee for the cancellation.I would highly recommend Jesse. 100% worth the money. He has made me really love playing guitar. An added bonus: he is a super awesome dude to chat with.
Tony Kirschner: Great teacher - nice, patient, knowledgeable and flexible. Knows his stuff and will pace things according to your interests and abilities. Highly recommended!
Linda L: My lessons with Jesse have been fantastic. Each lesson I learn something new and take away helpful tips for my guitar playing. As a teacher, he is accommodating, patient and caters the lesson to your needs. I highly recommend him for all age groups.
Shafeen Sarangi: Our daughter had an excellent experience with Jesse. He taught her both guitar and piano. Thank you Jesse!
William Zhang: I am so grateful of finding Jesse to be my son's guitar teacher after searching for a long time. He is very patient and his class is well structured. I can tell my son is improving with a more solid foundation. Great teacher!
Cola: Jesse has been my guitar teacher since December, and I have improved so much from his lessons. I see him once a week. He's a pretty chill and nice guy and he is flexible with meeting times. I feel like my development and my improvement on guitar would be different if I had just learned by myself with online resources.
Marc Adams: Jesse was very relaxed and knowledgeable on different play styles. He listens and caters to what you need. Always a pleasant experience! Would recommend to anyone looking to elevate their skills.
YUNPENG GU: Patience, easy going, skilly!
Janice Rodger: Jesse is so patient , knowledgeable and skilled. He takes the time to teach you and really wants you to learn and get better.
John Cole: Very patient knowledgeable teacher. He has worked extremely well with our ten year old son who is progressing nicely due to Jesse’s expertise.
clarence tsang: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueJesse is a great teacher the way he teaches is awesome he helped me build up my skills and theoryIn lessons Definitely should check him out!
Talisa Francesca: I love lessons with Jesse.Laid back dude who has a wealth of knowledge and a lot of patience with teaching. I went from not being able to tell the difference between strings to being able to accompany myself within 9 months, plus it's pretty inspiring to hear him play caus he's a god. 100% would reccomend him to anyone.
tasmansea: Jesse is a fantastic teacher. He has the patience of a saint and made me progress much further than I could have expected in much shorter time than I was hoping for. Can only recommend Jesse, whether you just want to learn to a play a few tunes or really want to learn about the intricacies of music. Thanks for sharing your knowledge Jesse! Cheers... Jan
Willem: Awesome teacher! Has lots of knowledge and adapts to suit your needs and personal goals. Highly recommended!

Resound School of Music: what do users think?
Christine Hooge: My daughters absolutely love the positive and fun vibe that the teachers at Resound bring to the lessons.
Lauren Boulet: I've loved taking lessons from Resound School of Music. Their overall communication is excellent and the instructors are kind and supportive.
Yuanyuan Guo: We had great experience learning from this school. The teacher Laura was so fun and happy, making each lesson a good memory to me and my daughter. She even played duet The First Novel with my 6 year old daughter in the online recital last winter, making her little dream come true. Though we had to leave now because Laura moved to the US last month and my daughter’s former teacher was available to teach, I would recommend Resound school to anyone I know. It’s a place offering reasonable price and friendly service, very suitable for someone who wants to open the door of music but still wandering in front of it. The cancellation policy is simple and the refund is easy, which means you don’t need to concern too much before deciding to go for a musical journey. It’s different from the organizations where people only pay attention to your pocket. I wish more kids and adults could enjoy the beauty of music with the help of Resound school.
silveryfeather208: I was looking for an in studio school, but they do not offer. However, they had been very helpful in pointing me to a music school at a location convenient to me, even though they didn't have to. So, positive experience on customer service.
Zahra Esmail: Positive:QualityIt's a pleasure watching my daughter learn to play piano. The teacher comes to our home each week, is so playful and encouraging, and my child is already learning to play some tunes. I'm so glad I found Resound School of Music!
Sheri Briggs: My daughter had been learning piano for 4 years and decided that she was interested in playing popular music rather than strictly classical. We signed on the Resound and connected with Arielle who teaches piano and voice. My daughter has a great time with Arielle, especially during their voice exercises. Her confidence is growing and she is more invested in the music that she is playing.
Tara van Gelderen: Great teachers, helpful staff. They work at my son's pace and having them come to us is a lifesaver. We could not be happier!
Jason Chu: Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience with this school. The owner, Phil, was pleasant during our consultation, and he did set us up with an instructor who was also nice (although both arrived late for their appointments). I ended up signing up for a trial lesson. After deciding to go with another school, I tried calling them to cancel my payments (they billed me for a month of lessons in advance). It took almost a week for Phil to return my emails, in which he agreed to refund my payment and stop billing me for future lessons. It's now a month later and I just received an invoice for the following month saying my card has been charged again. Needless to say, I'm not happy with my experience with the school so far.Update: the owner advised that my account was billed in error and I have been issued a refund.
noeline gonsalves: Well organized music institute and qualified instructor. Teacher Alan taught my left handed daughter play Guitar with right hand with patience and guidance. She is lear t it well to continue her music in future. Thanks.
Carmela Laurino: This company is outstanding. Super accommodating and easy process. Allan is a great instructor; very knowledgeable, great with kids, professional and respectful. I highly recommend this company.
DD H: Perfect guitar teacher. Resound's system included a very well crafted intake interview. It was an enjoyable experience. This lead to us being paired with an amazing guitar instructor. Lessons are in our home. Our child is autistic and the teacher is patient and flexible and a real joy to watch interact with her. We are thrilled.

Long & McQuade Musical Instruments: what do users think?
Andrew Hull: Sold me a boom pole, mic stand that was used lol. Supposed to be brand new but had scratches. Adjustment bolt was stripped. Not worth your time coming here.
Kevin Bruce: These guys have had my business for years. Helpful knowledgeable staff have made my purchases awesome.
Dennis Martin: Place for strings, cables, action job for my bass and get books.
Nicholas Januar: Took my choking guitar here for a fix, they fixed it in like 10 minutes without any charge, really nice staffWill definitely comeback again
Judson Pooyak: I really appreciate the attention I have been given as a customer. Good peoples
Heide Ballesteros: Friendly staff at the drums department. E-drums are usually rented out fast. Dave was nice to call me back as soon as they got one drum set available and had it prepared nicely for pick up. Convenient and fast transaction when you are there. Store is huge. Would be the one-stop shop when you need something.
Deejay Bjorn: Love doing business with long and McQuaid. Love their lowest price guarantee and just the way they treat customersbis amazing. Very kind and considerate staff and management. Kudos
David Fowler: Very happy with my two latest guitars - purchased at the Terminal Ave Long and McQuade. It's a little out of my way, but always worth the trip! Thanks again to Chad, Wesley, and Caleb!
orangeravii •: This is my go to place now specifically if I need to buy acoustic guitar related products. I also love the people who work at their acoustic guitar department, especially to Brian and Khasian, who were a big help and knowledgeable. I also like the enthusiasm they show, even at busy times! Keep up the great work! 😎
Amin Ya: Very friendly and helpful. They have a great service for repair, set-up, etc.
Nolan Males: It was pretty good place. They had lots of cool thing there, and we had to get some speakers. The customers were nice as well.
silveryfeather208: Not sure if it's my bad luck or what. I emailed the lesson center and no response. Called and no one was there to pick up. Called on two separate ocadsions. So I had to go to the store physically. Was ok.
Grimoaldo Assuncao: Amazing store with a full variety of instruments, acessories and others. Also classes of all instruments.A huge parking lot for customers.I really recommend this place.
Earl Pollitt: Adolopho is awesome great CS & fixed my mic stand very quickly. AWESOME results & so greateful for all their products. Thanks MILLIONS Adolopho!!!!
Scott Musgrave: Affordable equipment rentals when you need to rock out!
Eddie C: Absolutely love this company and this location specifically. Consistently amazing service from friendly and knowledgeable staff. GREAT selection of products. Lessons for musical instruments with great teachers. Really really impressed.
Peter Towler: I always get great service at Long and McQuade locations, but today’s experience at the Terminal Ave location was exceptional. Kassian, thank you SO much for taking the time to help me today. My GS Mini Koa thanks you as well.
Dominik Csonka: If you're in need of rental items, this is the perfect spot to visit. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to assist you with your needs, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience. Trustworthy and reliable, you can count on this establishment to provide top-notch service every time.
Moj Noroozi: We are happy with our experience here, renting microphones and speakers for a reasonable price. They made sure all the cables and chargers are working properly. Staff are so nice and helpful.
S: I would not recommend getting your guitar tuned up here. I was billed $669.30 for repairs done without my consent.I was originally quoted around $150 for a small service suggestion, even though my initial reason for coming in was to simply buy new strings and have them put on for me.I found out later that Long & McQuade commissions a part-time technician (Jake) that took my instrument to their home to repair. This could also explain why it took so long to get my instrument back.I had 2 very unpleasant interactions with the repair technician over the phone. Jake was very rude and entitled on the phone. He suggested around $250 worth of repair, so I needed time to think about it. In the end, I called them to give them OK for a $250 repair, as I naively trusted they had reason to believe this was necessary.3 weeks later, I receive a bill that my guitar is ready for pick up, at $669.30!I called the manager right away, and he lowered the price back down to the original quote of $150. The repair description was very loosely described and printed on a small receipt, not even a real piece of paper. Very questionable billing.
Chanel Vautour: Good selection

Uptempo Music Lessons: what do users think?
MaiKhoi Hua: I’ve been taking guitar lessons with Ed for about 8 months now. I started out with the general goal of wanting to learn acoustic fingerpicking - he had me playing Dust in the Wind after 3 lessons! Then I decided I wanted to record 3-4 songs for my son, and he quickly pivoted to accommodate my project goals. He’s patient, knowledgeable and truly enjoys helping his students appreciate and understand music. He also has practice tips to help break down difficulties into manageable goals. I actually had been taking adult piano lessons for a while and wanted to learn guitar to help improve my rhythm. What it ended up doing was helping me to narrow in on what I enjoyed playing on both instruments rather than what I should be playing. Having had many music teachers throughout the years, I can say with certainty that it’s rare to find a skilled instructor who puts the students’ goals and enjoyment first, and Ed is one of them.
Sam Rapaport: Ed is an amazing guitar teacher and incredibly knowledgeable. I had a great time taking lessons and I think he’s perfect for anyone interested in learning guitar.
Daniel Castonguay (dcaston): Do yourself a favor, explore the world of music with an experienced expert and guide. Ed will create the proper roadmap tailored to your desired destination. He'll put you at ease, always letting you know he is there to keep you on the path to your destination. Make the call and start moving forward. I am so glad I did, 160 lessons ago. Avoid wasting time and invest in yourself. You will be happy you did!
Drummond Macdougall: Positive:ProfessionalismEd is an excellent guitar player. Although covid posed challenges, ED pivoted brilliantly into the 'new norm' of digital on-line services. He gives great lessons and I learned, like anything else, you've got to put in the practice time. Thanks Ed :-)
Katherina von Bulow: Ed is an excellent guitar teacher. He's very knowledgeable both when playing the instrument and on musical theory; and best of all, his teaching style is effective and encouraging. Highly recommended.
Traci D.: Ed is a great guitar teacher. I highly recommend him. Very talented and a natural instructor.
Adrian Brennan: Ed is an excellent teacher and a talented musician.
John Dean: I would highly recommend Ed ! He is an incredibly talented Musician. North Vancouver is very lucky to have a teacher like Ed offer lessons there ! Not only is he a top tier guitarist, but an incredible songwriter as well. I'm sure you'll be very happy if you go with Up Tempo Music Lessons.
Jason Coolen: Ed is a terrific teacher! I have been taking lessons with Ed for over a year now and I have fully enjoyed the experience. He is knowledgeable, direct, and kind. He is quite good at putting you at ease while also challenging you when needed. You will not be disappointed.
Chris Robson: Ed is a very thought provoking instructor. The lessons I've taken with him has expanded my understanding of music theory and greatly improved my understanding of the guitar. His teaching style is very versatile. He listens to your questions and shows you how best to achieve your goals in a very easy to understand way. For me personally it was a combination of exercises that he thoroughly explained and showed via demonstration and also writing them down in my notebook for home practice. We also worked on difficult passages of music that I struggled with.I recommend Ed to anyone who wishes to become a better guitar player. From beginner to advanced!
Tom Lawreszuk: If you are looking for an experienced guitar teacher with the right approach Ed is definitely your #1 choice in Vancouver area. He is very technically skilled but also fluent in music theory. Highly recommend!
hiroshi kuhn: Ed is super knowledgable, very pattient and focuses on the process on how to be creative not in the rote learning of the minutae of theory only. he can be disciplined or just casual and easygoing according to your learning style. He is enthusiastic about your musical tastes and interests and always has an open ear. The very important process of just jamming can be emphasized if you ask him, which is invaluable. I learned on how to be creative not a technician. I highly reccomend him and he is the best music teacher of several I've had._Hiroshi Kuhn
Lucas P: I have been to so many different teachers over the years and that ended with Ed. Such a fabulous experience and teacher. Highly recommended to anyone. He took a guy with 4 thumbs and taught him how to play guitar!
eric hebert: Without Ed Sadler I wouldn't be playing guitar today. Hands down a great experience and an awesome teacher. Learn how to play from a genuine rock star!
