Mike Cui: Only place I've found in the area that sells JIS to SAE car battery terminal adapters that allow you to easily run North American batteries in JDM vehicles without any modifications. They had plenty in stock for great prices and I was in and out with a pair in no time. I've been running this pair in my JDM Toyota for the past 6 months and they've never failed me. With the JDM import scene being as big as it is in the Lower Mainland, I'm surprised these things aren't more widely available, but I'm grateful that Polar has them when everyone else doesn't.

Doug Greenall: I'm about to replace my battery, not because it has issues but because I'm about 8 years in now on the same battery. Since I replaced my Motomaster battery with a premium battery from Polar, it's been perfect. They installed it in the parking lot without fuss.I won't consider going elsewhere.

Adan Sprauer: I have been going to this place for the last 8+ years, would find it simple just to go and get my new battery installed, they were kind and found the service to be good, had recommended it to three four people as well. Unfortunately this has changed the person at the counter that helped me seemed annoyed at being bothered for some assistance, they also did not want to install the new battery on the same car they had installed their Polar batterry battery 3-4 years ago claiming it was not allowed because they had to reset something and they did not have the tools even though they did it last time and saw the polar battery. A battery place that cannot install a battery has no purpose, so I took my business elsewhere and will not come back. I will also let the people I recommended it to in the past know not to expect the same service as before and just go somewhere else for a battery.

Corinne B: Discovered after returning from vacation my car battery was dead and needed replacement. Late on Friday afternoon of a long weekend, I called Polar and talked to Rob to see if they had a replacement in stock. They did and I headed right down there with my jump started Corolla. Rob took care of the sale then installed my new battery in less than 10 minutes. He gave me some good advice for the future about car battery usage. Overall, great experience with Rob at Polar and now I’m set for winter when it comes!

Brenden Mcgoran: Went in to buy a couple batteries for my boat and ATVs, Glenn the salesperson I dealt with was dismissive towards me as a customer, treated me like I wasn't worth his time, I think it was because of the attire I was wearing, sometimes I look pretty rugged from work but I generally don't get treated like a second class citizen, I do not recommend this business just based on customer service I received.
Keith Benson: I had a slow cranking starter this morning. I brought it in and they Load tested my old battery....told me it was probably good for another year ( 400 cranking amps new one is 650). I decided to replace it now rather than later...the price was excellent and they had it in stock....installation would be $20 but I installed it myself using their tools. I'd definitely go back.

Simon Hill: It's worth noting that the shop closes for a break in the middle of the day (it's got a single staffer, and they leave for lunch). So if you're on a tight schedule and visiting between noon and 2:30 it's worth calling ahead to be sure they'll be there (the break's timing is variable).

Stephen Chan: Vancouver Battery has a wide selection of batteries at great prices. The SLA (sealed lead acid) batteries in common computer UPS (uninterruptible power supplies such as APC) can be replaced with similar quality batteries for around half the price of the same batteries from UPS manufacturer. I have saved hundreds of dollars. You can also safely dispose of old batteries here.

S: Lousy Service...Very Disappointed, I traveled a long way by bus to this store on Dec-16-2021 @ 11:30am, to get a battery "G9-a". The ladytold me she could not help me because it was a unknown type. When I came home, I found out by 'Googling' the number which instantly popped upas a "#394" battery. Why she sent me away without her trying to find a replacement was very poor service. Not happy with this store.

I was about to buy a new deep cycle RV battery at Canadian Tire but figured I would see what else was out there.As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a friendly man whose name I regretfully did not get. He was quick to show me the different types of batteries they had and explained all of their differences and nuances.I walked out of there spending a lot more money than I thought I would but I have a much better battery for the job at hand and will probably save money in the long run by not replacing it as soon.The guy working the shop is super nice, very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend Battery World to anyone.
Mitch Therrien: I was in need of batteries for my Mercedes key fob's. neither key was working. Richard the person that helped me opened up a website looked at my keys and had the problem fixed in less than 8 minutes...both keys. The problem was that the contacts had been severley bent out of shape but he was cautious and straightened them both out..I know I would have snapped them. I had called Mercedes dealership before going to Battery World and explained my problem. They wanted me to drop my car off and pick it up the next day. So I asked how much the batteries were and they quoted me $12 each. They are the small round batters that are the same as most key fobs use....$1.50 at dollar store, which I had already tried and it didn't work...I needed 4. Richard sold me 4 batteries and repaired my key FOBs and had it all done within 8 minutes. It's not often any retail store gets involved with fixing anything because of liability but he had no problem...he knew what needed to be done and he did it...I am sure that he treats all customrs the same and I highly recommend if you are looking for batteries hes the guy to see. It was a pleasant experience...which doesn't happen often these days.Oh and the price? It was a bit out of line but I bit the bullet...$14.00 for all 4 batteries and service...great deal to say the least

Ros: Saved my old cordless phone from landfill!We have an old Motorolla cordless phone, similar to Panasonic cordless etc. NiMH battery pack wore out, so calls would die within minutes. Frustrating that all these phones have similar rechargeable batteries, BUT different, proprietary connectors. I was able to take the phone/old battery to Morgan's. I was amazed he was able to solder this old connector onto a new battery pack. Working perfectly now. All for a great price, and keeping that phone out of the landfill for a few more years, is priceless. Hope they remain in business!

K M: Usually the staff can answer my questions but last time that i went there i choose 2 computers/laptops to buy (after an hour of looking and deciding). Both computers were out of stock and there was no notification to the customer that they were out of stock or display only. When i asked if its possible to have a discount on the floor model- he said no, but that he would give me a free warranty. A line of about 40 people gathered behind me and the one person infront of me. The store manager didn’t seem to care about a line so about 20 people gathered in a cluster infront of the line as they all rushed the till befor the people who had waited in line. You would think when a highly demanded release calls people to line up for over an hour the store would at least try to honour first come first serve of a limited supply. Ended up getting the game after fighting my way into the crowd 👎

I know he might be doing hard work but not at all professional, I felt judged at that point, well I just left the store and placed an order for pickup at another store🙄

Guilherme Guedes: Pretty standard Best Buy store. Very helpful and friendly service but some products like phone protection ones (glass, cases and others) are way more expensive than it should. You can easily find them online at half the price. But other psychs such as home electronics, gadgets and appliances are at a good price. You should always look for the offers though, they're very frequent but not always communicated, so you should do a price check before buying.
S p: EXTREMELY Pushy salespeople, and at the same time not knowledgeable about the products at all. Used car salesmen are like angels compared to some of these Best Buy salespeople. Worst part is that they INSIST that they are Not on commission, while literally doing ANYhthing to push you to buy...! I take it as a direct insult for someone to look directly into my eyes and lie so clearly and obviously into my face....Oh and I also had the pleasure of dealing with their Geek Squad for TV installation. After paying 350 Dollars for a TV mount, the first time they messed up the installation - they were nice people though. I had to book a second appointment which was scheduled for a few days later. The 2nd group who showed up at the 2nd appointment were so rude!!! And I ended up with extra holes on my wall and a TV which afterall was not installed at the height that I had originally asked for. Because they couldn't make holes too close to the holes that the first group initially made in the first appointment.In short, I describe their Geek Squad personnel as "Rookies". Definitely Not worth the 350 dollars to have a messed up TV mount and extra holes on your wall.

They avoid pointing to its weaknesses, and then, because of their short return policy, I've been keeping a useless, costly printer due to the following weaknesses;1. The scanner automatically adjusts auto brightness on documents in photo or doc preset. So you cannot scan something in actual colours.2. It sometimes has issues connecting your devices, and you have to sign in to your HP account before using it. Requiring users to log in to an online account to use offline devices is annoying.3. Besides this device's high cost of inks, you have a few months to use your cartridges; otherwise, they'll empty.4. This printer is heavy and oversized, and it makes noises.Therefore, I will never shop from Best buy anymore.

Only issue I faced was their techs are quite young and still could learn a thing or two about driving stick. The tech from my last visit couldn’t back my car off the lift so I had to do it myself. And that was after he tried to unlock a Toyota truck with my Honda fob LOL
