Pan Pacific Vancouver: what do users think?
Robert Dehn: If you are catching a Cruise out of here, then book here right now. It’s pricey but worth every penny. They literally have a “cruise deck” button in the elevators… took all the mystery out of “where do I need to go.” That being said it’s here. You leave from this hotel…!The rooms had an incredible view of the water, were spotless clean, and every person that worked there was so friendly and accommodating. We didn’t realize we needed to print our luggage tickets before getting there… and they even had a free business center with a free printer! There is an indoor shopping / food center directly across the street. Had a few stores / cheap food options as well and an indoor / outdoor sitting area. Grabbed a coffee and some travel essentials without issue.Protip. Ask the front desk to have the bellhops to take care of delivering your luggage to the cruise ship. We handed them off from our room (for a worth it, 5 dollar per bag fee!) …and then we we’re able to walk around Vancouver luggage / stress free for a few hours! Big win.
Kyle B: Really large and busy hotel. Very very good location with a great pool area with scenic views. Perfect if you are going on a cruise. Very busy and can be overwhelming when first pulling up as a tourist.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Great value …More

Tanya: It's the little things that matter. We arrived after a 14hr flight at the hotel at 8:30am. Dreading the late check-in, we were told our room was ready and we could go straight in. The porter was about 2 minutes behind us with our bags. Excellent! Twin beds that were double size. Pillows that were so comfortable. Shower curtain on a rail that was arc-ed outwards - the curtain didn't slap around you as you showered. Bathroom products that not only smell nice, but didn't feel like the cheapest, driest washing liquid. Positioned right on top of the cruise terminal making it easy for us to travel onward. A really really nice place to stay.
Montse Albella Fernandez: Hotel precioso ,cómodo con unas habitaciones espectaculares .
Steve Wilkins: Stayed for four nights pre an Alaska cruise. We had a club deluxe double double room, which was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was adequate. Service was good from the staff we spoke with. Breakfast in the club lounge was of a high standard, and there is no need to pay extra for breakfast if you book a club room. I didn't think the hotel, in general, was of the same luxury as other Pan Pacific's I've stayed in. Nevertheless, I would recommend and stay again in the future.
Sylvain B: Easy check in by 10am, hours before their posted check in hours. An amazing location with a great view of the north shore and well set up room.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view …More

Chris Fowler: First time staying here and likely will try another hotel first if we have to stay in Vancouver again. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable . The staff were very pleasant and helpful and seemed happy to be working here.Bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. Pillows were a bit small and soft, but we had a good night sleep anyways. The reasons for for not getting more stars are:Parking is isn’t included, yes a small discount is given, and there was always someone patrolling the area, which a gave me piece of mind, but I have gotten security and parking included at hotels just up the street. Maybe it’s because I am not from the city, but $50+ for 24hrs of parking…. Ouch.No breakfast, or deals on food.TV, after a long day or running around, we couldn’t watch anything good or recent unless we wanted to pay. Now maybe I am wrong , but then it wasn’t clear how to watch anything good or recent.Didn’t try the internet.A hotel of this size, would be very difficult to paint and modernize, so I don’t mind that everything felt a bit dated.IMO not worth the price.
Benita Very nice!: We stayed here after disembarking from our cruise to Alaska to enjoy Vancouver for a couple of days. Be aware that this hotel does not provide any shuttles to the airport or anywhere else. Be prepared to pay for taxi service or tickets for the train, which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More

Katie Steward: The rooms are spacious and beds very comfy. The views over the harbor are amazing. I would definitely stay here againWalkability: Great walkability, theres an underground passage that leads across the street so you can avoid the cars

River Rock Casino Resort: what do users think?
Justice: Above average customer service regardless of how much you are going to spend in the casino. The staff don't judge you on how you are dressed but instead, are extremely helpful with information and questions needing answers. This is a very well laid out casino with lots of attractive slot machines and tables. It even has a Starbucks just outside the interior entrance into the casino.
Patrina Moore: This hotel is located close to the Vancouver Airport 🛫 with easy access via the skytrain. It was the 3 stop on the train. After getting off the train, you enter the hotel from the upper level. The hotel rooms are great with the bedroom having 3 TV and a desk and a huge bathroom. The lobby has a Starbucks and a restaurant. Also, inside the casino section, there are tons of options to eat, but kids can't get to that section of food because it is inside the casino 🙃Also there is a restaurant across the street and a variety store. It was a great experience with tons to do and eat.
Derek Churchill: The most unfriendly staff member and policy. I went to grab a coffee at the Starbucks inside and was chased away by security. I was going to leave my bike out front for 1 minute and immediately security came and chased me away explaining that I couldn't leave my bike out front. Reason given was 'Policy'. Policy is never a stand alonereason to give to customers. Always, give the reason for the policy. I was offered to use the parkade at the end of the property, but by then, I would have missed my bus. I was planning to go to this hotel in the summer, but now I won't.
Wilson Luong: Great Casino to kill time if you have layover at YVR.
Ken Davis: Property is very nice and location is perfect especially if you want to attend the night market. Casino however seems to be very very tight. I witnessed absolutely nobody winning any hand pay jackpots on the slots, NOBODY.Nearby activities: Night market is right next doorWalkability: Nice waterfront boardwalk
Joyful Mathieson: 💯 ✈️ 🤩
Miss Hotwheels: If you're driving here, the lobby parking is virtually non-existent as there's priority for valet parking. The valet drivers will rudely chase you away. There's 2 buildings for the hotels. The hotel parking is very far, so expect to walk, or use the parkade that's closer. Expect long waits for check-in and don't waste your time trying to call from your room, either. Food options are a joke for such a large place. Casino staff are stand-offish and power trip. I was minding my own business on a Sunday morning in the smoking shelter, on the main street, Dec 2023. No one around. Two men walked by, one of them stared at me through the bushes 4 feet away. Then.... he came in to stare at me, even closer thinking I wasn't aware. Then, he walks to the entrance of the shelter and is animated and walks away. It was harassment and caused me stress.... for no reason! I followed and found out it was the Manager in Casino security, Ash!I asked for an apology and was met with haste. He had no business harrasing people and with no indentifiable clothes... nothing. I've contacted Management several times and haven't received any replies. They said Ash was on vacation and never got back to me. 4 months later, still no replies. Emails are mysteriously"undeliverable"..... interesting. Management does not care here... or at main office. I don't want anyone else to feel intimidated and harrased like I was. With no help because "most of the management is not available on the weekends". We checked out immediately and I'm seeking legal assistance. Much better options in Richmond, B.C.Please take other negetive reviews into consideration as they are highly accurate. No, the room was not worth the cost.Noteworthy details: If you want good food and beverage, you won't find it here.Prepare to walk with your stuff a long ways with property parking, otherwise pay daily.Valet driver's are rude, pushy and have zero guest skills.Rooms are dated with worn furniture.Room service impossible to reach, as is front desk. Most notably, it's the total lack of guest services. There's zero accountability... no one cares there. They don't respond to feedback. Don't call back when they say they would. Don't care about your well being. They don't care about your stay or experience there, at all. Casino Security Manager, Ash, power trips and his ego is too huge for his position. He triggers easily and has no people skills. Noteworthy is the time spent checking in with no lobby parking! We walked a long, long ways! Avoid. There's better.
Sinn: Spent 3 nights in this hotel. First night was a nightmare as there was a loud and sharp rattling noise coming from the AC when it was running. Wish I'd noticed it during daytime so that I could have it fixed, unfortunately did not notice. Had it fixed following day. Also, how come there's no clock in the room, as not everyone uses cell phone or watch to check time, especially at night? Otherwise, I enjoyed the stay.Just added the following:a) The use of shower is very tricky. Even though it is explained on the sheet on the desk, how many people would read it immediately after they check in? They should have clear instructions posted in the bathroom, or have receptionist explain to the guests when they check in.b) Why use cheap toilet papers which are see-through thin? It is a joke. You may save money by buying it, but if guests fold them 4 or 5 times, they may wind up using more papers and costing more. They've gotta go!Rooms: See reviews re: shower head and toilet paper.

My Hobby Nest: We have stayed at Embarc Vancouver before and we have always enjoyed this place, because it is so convenient to everything. We love the views of the 29th floor. The room was good. It was nice and clean.Alexandria, at the front desk was very friendly and professional. The only thing that we were not very happy with, was when Cyril the Manager knocked very hard on our hotel room door at 10:30 in the morning asking us if we are checking out. We were almost ready to check out anyways. We thought that that was kind of rude. This has never happened to us ever at any hotel room in the world. He should be treating his guests in a professional manner and with respect.
ACJ C: Queen room was comfortable and clean. Restaurant had sufficient variety and quality of foods. Wish a la carte breakfast was available before 9:30 a.m. Location was excellent for access to main downtown sights. Staff were helpful and friendly. Liz G: Terrible experience with Embarc Vancouver. Their customer rep with Reservations wasn’t helpful nor empathetic to our situation. They also didn’t honor their word about moving out our dates or gave us a call back when it escalated to management. Would not recommend! After reading other reviews about being scammed by this resort I COMPLETELY agree!!
Doug “Whistler Realtor” Treleaven: My cabin home away from home in downtown Vancouver.Rooms: Stunning!Safety: 24/7

Brooke Hamer-Jackson: An amazing hotel. All the rooms have themes. Very cultural. Also houses homeless indigenous artists. The service was absolutely amazing. Can not recommend this hotel enough. Front desk man was wonderful. So kind with a great sense of humor. Our room was spectacular. Will always be staying here when we come to Vancouver.Everything was awesome
Tom Biro: One of my favorite places to stay in Vancouver by a mile. Super location, REALLY friendly staff, always clean, and a great way to see some amazing art at the same time. Highly recommend this spot, especially if you're looking to stay somewhere fresh.

Tayler Steinke: This was a unique hotel experience! The location is fairly sketchy but thankfully the underground parking garage is secure. Parking for two nights did cost $78 so that was extremely expensive….The location is nice and close walking distance tho to lots of stuff which is nice!!The elevator is slow, just an observation. The room was cool! We stayed in a double bed room. It has stairs going up to the bed area which was cool! Upon going up the stairs I did notice under the chairs and table there was a fair bit of dirt and dust. The rest of the room looked clean tho. The hotel was fairly quiet and peaceful for the most part. The beds and pillows were fairly firm for my liking, but still comfy. The smudge room and outdoor area was pretty cool but seemed like it was in the off season since it was a bit dismantled. Hotels never put herbal teas on the rooms and I don’t drink black teas, so this was very nice to see! They had two kinds of herbal teas in the room so I actually got to drink some tea. I don’t know if this is a big deal to some people but it’s a big deal to me! The breakfast was way better than other free hotel breakfast I’ve had at other chain hotels…. They had fresh bannock that I warmed up and dipped in the homemade yogurt! Very good!!! Lots of tea and coffee options. Also fresh fruit and other items! Very good, this is a small thing but makes a huge difference! Beautiful First Nations art all over the property! There were very cool bear dream catchers in our room!
Dominic Gentilcore: This was the most unique hotel experience I have ever had. It's like staying inside an art museum. There are handmade details everywhere not just as art on the walls, but also built into the architecture. The smudge room and balcony lodge are beautiful and relaxing escapes. The bannock at breakfast was delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and we had several great, long conversations with Rick. The rooms were cozy and clean. We want to come back.
chrissie williams: WORST EXPERIENCE EVER not only are they aware of scammers online they don't do anything to prevent it they also take their turn while your wallet is open maybe I'm naive to think natives would help natives in the end we paid 4 times a regular stay and it was tiniest 2 beds for 3 adults in the end WORST hotel stayRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Sarah Mierau: ❤️
Belinda Burton: Located near the gates of Chinatown, Skwachays Lodge is a quirky Aboriginal Hotel & Gallery. Each room has a different theme (we were in the Wilderness Teachings Suite) and is decorated with artwork by local indigenous artists. The rooms were clean with plenty of storage and the beds and pillows are one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on! The shower was hot with good water pressure (which I find very important). It also had a microwave which was handy for cooking our breakfast porridge. While situated on the not so nice end of West Pender Street, the area is quiet with a cinema and supermarket across the road and only a couple of streets away from central historic Gastown.  It is also an easy walking distance to downtown Waterfront Place, Rogers Arena and other attractions. Proceeds from the hotel go towards supporting social housing for indigenous Canadians which is an extra bonus.
Judy Payne: We enjoyed our stay at Skwachays Lodge! The decor was beautiful; the room was comfortable and very clean. The staff helped us find great nearby restaurants. I particularly appreciated their prompt assistance in returning to me an item I had inadvertently left behind.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More

The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver: what do users think?
Betsy Huang: Hight quickly hotel, we choose breakfast included, the breakfast is buffet style, everyday a little bit different, but it’s enough. Swimming pool and sauna, Gym was pretty relaxed.
Jose gabaldon rubio: Increible
rod beisel: Great location, overall great staffCheck in person was like used car salesman trying to upgrade us to more expensive room. Never had this experience here before.
Mitesh Vekaria: I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From its prime location to its top-notch facilities, this hotel truly exceeded my expectations in every way.First and foremost, the location of the Westin Bayshore Hotel is absolutely superb. Situated right on the picturesque waterfront, it offers breathtaking views of the harbor and Stanley Park. Being able to wake up to such a stunning vista every morning was truly invigorating. Moreover, the hotel's proximity to downtown Vancouver allowed for easy access to the city's vibrant attractions, restaurants, and shops. Whether I wanted to explore the bustling city or take a leisurely stroll along the seawall, everything was conveniently within reach. The facilities at the Westin Bayshore were nothing short of impressive. The rooms were spacious, elegantly furnished, and exceptionally clean. The plush beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep. The hotel also boasts a wide range of amenities that cater to every guest's needs. The fitness center was well-equipped, allowing me to maintain my workout routine, and the spa provided a serene haven for relaxation. The outdoor pool, surrounded by lush greenery, was an absolute delight, offering a peaceful retreat with stunning views of the harbor. The hotel's attention to detail in maintaining their facilities was truly commendable. The staff at the Westin Bayshore Hotel were outstanding, delivering excellent service with genuine warmth and professionalism. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm smile and made to feel welcomed. The staff members were attentive, accommodating, and always went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was memorable. Their knowledge of the area was invaluable in helping me plan my daily activities, and their recommendations for local attractions and dining options were spot on.Additionally, the dining options at the hotel were exceptional. The restaurants offered a variety of culinary delights, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Although they could cater more for vegetarians.I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in Vancouver.

Margaret Au: We LOVE staying at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver. Not only does this waterfront hotel offer wonderful views of the harbour, the marina and the city, its location is within walking distance of Stanley Park if you like the outdoors, or Robson Street if you prefer to go shopping or cafe- or restaurant-hopping. Also, there are plenty of bicycle and scooter rental places nearby.Courteous and friendly crew members; rooms are bright and clean. Can use some upgrade to provide more charging ports for modern devices but still acceptable. Good upscale restaurants in the hotel and plenty in the vicinity offering a wide variety of cuisines to suit any budget. Room service was also good.If I must include a negative comment, it would have to be my shock of the century experience with room service! I had a late dinner one night due to work demands, and really needed coffee. When I ordered room service, I wanted to get a pot of coffee to help me through the night. When I was told there was no coffee available at that time, it was simply incomprehensible. Yes, a first world problem but I have never encountered that in all my hotel stays so I was seriously shocked and … “disappointed” was nowhere close to how I felt at the time. Other than that, everything was great!
Mer Kava: Great location now ran by liars. I have been a guest since 2005 always in a Tower suite with Harbor View. Beautiful and convenient for a morning run in Sydney Park. I have also held three national corporate events (300+) over the years. Got in yesterday evening for a one nighter. Something looked off with the front desk staff, I asked confirmation that i was headed to a Tower room, she told me no, that was not the reservation but had the best room in the hotel. I confirmed it would have a Harbor view and a terrace. That was lies. My office i of course booked a Tower room, Room 904 is not the best in the hotel (that is a wood panel suites somewhere else I had a board meeting in years ago), no Harbor view and no terrace. I called the duty manager in the morning and was served another lie (reservation on Expedia, which my office never does). Not a word of apologies let alone a placating gesture, a very abnoxious attitude which is not what one would expect or need to get in the hospitality segment Westin operates in. Sad to strike the Westin Harbor off the list of accommodation our company uses but no guest need to be lied to.
Barney Andersen: I went recently for a gala event. Good service and good facilities despite its age.Service: 5/5 …More

Seaside Hotel North Vancouver - An Executive Hotel: what do users think?
Meghna George: Location : A hotel located in a prime location with the Lonsdale Quay in proximity and numerous cafes, hotels, restaurants just below and above the hotel. Absolutely positive vibes all around !Room : Amazing, with switch controlled Roman and Rolling blinds, ample plug points, smart tv, excellent wifi and a breath taking view. Definitely worth every cent.Cleanliness : Pristine and well maintainedStaff : Honestly, had very little interaction with the staff.Additional Services : No pools, but there is a spa that offers packages for couples. Seaside Provisions restaurant on the first floorOverall: Extremely pleased with the stay.Rooms: Rooms weren’t very large but are luxuriously furnished and Sound-proof. Had the best sleep in my life.Walkability: You can get everywhere by walking. Shoppers drug mart near by. Tap and Barrel serves amazing beer and fresh food, just a walk away from the hotel.Noteworthy details: From the time I booked, I was greeted with a welcome message that made online check in easy and hassle free. Just leave the keys in the room and hit “I’m departing now” for easy check out, too.
A: Absolutely phenomenal! The location and service was absolutely perfect. This www my first trip to Vancouver but it surely won’t be my last! Shobha Dhillon: I stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is lovely! The room was impeccable and spacious. The bed was very comfortable...I had great sleep both nights. You can't hear guests in neighbouring suites. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff knew my name and greeted me by name at every encounter...that's pretty amazing considering the hotel was fully booked! The location is good as well, with lots to do, places to eat just steps away. Thank you for an amazing stay!Rooms: Clean, new, spaciousSafety: Guest floors can only be accessed by a key card at the elevator.Walkability: Lots of restaurants and cafes, some shops nearby. Waterfront is steps away.
Yunfan Wang: The overall experience has been good. The location is so convenient (close to the sea us terminal), and the neighbour hood is nice for a walk, coffee, etc.The room is spacious compared to hotels in downtown Vancouver. Finishing is modern and chic with AMPLE power outlets. Coffee machine in the room is nice with coffee from illy. Toiletries are from L’Occitane, and they smell good.Staff has been nice and friendly as well. There are some downsides though. The first is that the reception is so small and looks like it’s in an accessories shop. The elevator is accessible from outside by anyone (although you need to scan your room key to go to your floor). It was a bit noisy around 10 pm during my stay since my room was facing the shipyards.Besides, the blind is supposed to be blackout, but there is room between the window and the blind so sunshine can still come into the room from the edges. Last but not least, the sink faucet and shower is hard to use with no signs of which way for hot and which direction for cold water.Overall, it has been a pleasant stay at the hotel. Would highly recommend to anyone else.
Reza Jafari: Beautiful sea side hotel in North Vancouver and its very clean
Amelia Popil: We had a great experience at Seaside! All the staff were nice and welcoming, rooms were neat and clean, exactly like the pictures. Even the deluxe king room felt luxurious with the bathroom design and interior decor complete with motorized shades. We ordered the seaside benedict and breakfast hash, potatoes were very good. Would definitely recommend. We really loved the options for contactless check-in and check-out.
Nicolas Joly: The shower walls were covered in hair upon arrival and you could tell things weren't very clean. Noisy outside during night and they charge for parking when they know the lot gets full, so took me over an hour to park after paying $32.As I notified the staff of my frustrations, you get a very corporate answer where they send you an email that I could get a discount upon my next visit and sorry they did not meet expectations and for us to give them another try.Overall this would not be a place I would pay the price of over $200 to stay, but the situation was created as our VRBO rental was a scam, so needed a place to stay.Rooms: Dirty
G C: One of the best hotels in North Van. Clean, modern, upscale and convenient location. The only downside is the $36/night parking fee. But for those not driving, everything is easily within walking or bus distance.Rooms: Very clean, modern furniture, comfortable and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The standard room may be a bit cramped for two or more guests.Nearby activities: Plenty of dining, shopping and tourist attractions at the Shipyard.Safety: One of the safer parts of Greater Vancouver. The streets are calm even at night. Emergency services are also nearby should they are needed.Walkability: Fantastic sidewalk and promenades. Bus stops are also nearby for commute.Food & drinks: Hotel restaurant is expensive but good quality.
Jessica Waraich: We had a lovely stay at the seaside ocean suite! The room was very clean, the staff were amazing, Daniel at guest services was very kind and accommodating. Overall a welcoming atmosphere and a peaceful stay. We can’t wait to come back!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Quiet, Great value …More
D S: I highly recommend this place for a wonderful spa experience followed by the brunch tower in the hotel restaurant. The establishment is very clean, better than most of the other places in town! On a sunny day, you can look across the water from the pedi chair. The staff is also very kind, professional and knowledgeable!Nearby activities: Shipyard and Quay marketWalkability: It's within 5min walk seabus terminal.
Richard Bone (The Trooper): Loved everything about our stay. Especially the cured salmon Benny! 😋Rooms: Comfy and Clean!Walkability: Literally, everything needed is walkable.Food & drinks: The cured salmon Benny in hotel restaurant was absolutely amazing!
Trina London: Nearby activities: The Shipyards area has lots of events and activities for the whole family.Food & drinks: Lots of great restaurants and local eateries and coffee shops within walking distance.Noteworthy details: Pet friendly. Dog beds, water, and food dishes were provided in the room.
Tanya Nabutovska: Amazing place. Nice staff! Highly recommended !!

Jessica J: I recently stayed at the Seaside hotel for a business trip and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, ensuring that all of my needs were met during our stay. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable bedding, along with providing our dog with a water & food bowl as well as a very comfortable dog bed. The bathroom was also well-equipped, with a large shower and plenty of towels. The highlight of our trip was how it overlooks the harbor and walking distance to Lonsdale Quay Market.Overall, I would highly recommend the Seaside Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the heart of ShipYards District of North Vancouver. The staff, amenities, and location all exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to returning for another visit in the future.
Darryl Merriman: From check in to check out everything was seamless. Restaurant was great and so was the service. Unfortunately it was a quick overnight and early morning ferry, so we did not get a chance to explore around the area, which I would have liked to do. Definately we will be back and spending some time in the area, and will be enjoying your excellent hospitality.
James Berti: Cannot express the extent of how above and beyond the team at Seaside will go for their guests. Can’t wait for my next trip back - thank you to Jeremy and to the rest of the staff for an unforgettable trip!
Julianna Bouso: My husband and I stayed here for a night to celebrate our anniversary and it was beyond words. The ocean view suite is gorgeous, with tasteful decor and an incredible bathroom that makes you want to stay in the bath and admire the view forever. A perfect little gem for a weekend getaway in the city!Food was on the expensive side which is okay for the quality of the hotel. I personally wasn’t a fan of the flavours but I’m sure it was delicious for others!

Hyatt Regency Vancouver: what do users think?

Christopher Rodgers: I should have written this at the time but my experience was laughable and a total nightmare with almost all customer service agents I spoke with. This occurred during the week of February 20th, 2023 for reference. TLDR: no rooms available, lack of care, extremely long waiting times, poor communication and more.1) Policy at the time said you could enter your room at 4pm. However, at 4:15pm I was told still not available. At which point the staff promised me I would get a text message telling me when the room would be ready.2) At 5:20pm I returned because I hadn't received a text but wanted to get inside the room I paid for, they told me it still was not ready.3) One of the staff offered giving me a king size room with a balcony as a substitute which I thought was the appropriate thing to do. That only lasted a few seconds before she rug-pulled the idea and gave me room "605" which was a standard room that she said was available.4) She gives me the keys to the room which I go to and enter, only to walk in on two guests already occupying that room.5) Go back downstairs to let them know of the situation, no apologies at all and continued to find me other substitutes. The room with a king bed and balcony wasn't on the table anymore even after I asked about it.6) She offers me another room "818" and gives me the cards to that room. I am hopeful this time it will surely work right? It doesn't. The cards she gave me were invalid.7) I decide to go to another staff member since it is now after 6pm and still without a room and the previous two service agents were no help.8) I briefed a woman who appeared to be the shift manager on the situation. Again, 2 hours after I was supposed to check-in, she did not apologize or offer anything for my inconvenience. She gave me two more new key cards saying that they would work this time.9) At last, I am finally in a "room", with appliances that did not work. However, I could care less to complain, all I wanted was sleep after a 6-hour flight and 3-hour wait in the lobby of this hotel.10) Sleep, was not what I got. Instead, next door partied from 12am to 5 am.11) In the morning, I went to the next shift manager, told her my situation. Finally, someone had some compassion and general customer service experience. She promised me that room with a king size bed and balcony. I was so excited.12) My room turned out okay this time. It was room 1201, it was quiet and peaceful. However, I had asked if I could get items delivered to the hotel. I was in need of some mandatory items from Amazon for the school meetings I had in the following days. She said it was no problem at all. They deal with deliveries all the time.13) My one day shipping turned into three. Not because of Amazon. It was because of this hotel. Due to disconnected departments and a lack of communication, my shoes had apparently entered receiving but not "physically available" to the regular staff. I had one man bring me all the way to the back of the hotel to show me what he called the "cage" and that there were no packages for me. He even showed me the clipboard that the people in receiving haven't touched in a few days. He called them "lazy" and that they are always "slow".14) When my package finally got to front desk, it did not make it to my room. I asked for them to bring it up and they didn't. When I asked to pick it up instead, they told me I couldn't and someone will hand deliver it. So back up I went and waited for someone to do what I just did, go up the elevator.I'll end with a thrilling story from Hyatt Guest Services:"He didn't even hit the kid that hard".You think that's taken out of context? So did I when the staff told me about an incident where a guest had hit a kid with luggage cart and told me therefore I could not move the luggage cart without him. Thanks!I'll make sure not to hit any kids on my way out sir.
Nina Nguyen: Staff was fantastic, had a wonderful stay. Bonnie Cheung made our stay such a wonderful and memorable experience.

isaac oommen: Posh hotel - went there for a conference. Well set up for conferences. Just watch out if you're at a conference and have to take the lift up or down - it gets packed since only a few elevators service the conference floors.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view …More

Ghaith Abdalla: Room:The AC opening was right above our bed, we ended up being sick.Bar downstairs:Wednesday night there was this blond guy, he was a bit rude. The place is clean and very well positioned.Lobby personnel are amazing. The housekeepers are very clean and always put new bedsheets. The hotel restaurant’s food is OK. Waiters and waitresses are very professional and welcoming. Over all it was an awesome experience. One star was lost on the air conditioning and the bar maid Wednesday evening.

Anthony Ciciulla: Outside was beautiful. Greeted by Brandon curbside! Very friendly, funny and helpful! Great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Went to The Vancouver Fish Company restaurant on Granville Island for an early lunch, delicious. And then we explored the island for the rest of the day. We almost went back to the island the next day, lots to do there. The Hotel is within walking distance(20 to 30 min walk) of so many interesting places and venues. Or transport to other spots of interest, the tram is just across the street literally. Would highly recommend The OPUS. Unfortunately we did not get to try the restaurant down stairs but we did get drinks at the bar. Thanks for a great first time in Canada!
Travis B: Service was impeccable. Kunal and Sanaz were a bright light at the end of a dark journey. Air travel being what it is currently, it's so wonderful having folks like these two greeting you, empathize with you, keeping your spirits up with champagne and cheery service at midnight, then again at 5 am. Can't say enough about the service. Location would be great if I was visiting. For Opus management: promote those two. It's so rare to find teams that seek to go above and beyond because their own internal barometer compels them. You can tell their enjoyment to give others a great experience is genuine.

Stephanie K: I had a mixup with my reservation and Anthony was very helpful and kind assisting with it!
Hans Hoyer: Gute Pizza. Waren nur im Restaurant.
Thang Phan: Great hotel and is well situated for downtown. Close to many restaurants, boba/coffee shops, and pasteries. Hotel staff is very friendly and would recommend to anyone who wanted a nice room centrally located. It does not have a huge fitness facitlly if you need one however.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More

Fairmont Waterfront: what do users think?
Stefanie Wills: The staff, location, and food is the reason why I’m giving this place two stars. However, the rooms are very outdated and rundown. I’ve literally stayed in better two star hotels. There were no outlets at all on one side of the bed. There was noise from both the hall and outside of my room from the ships. It was very difficult to get any quiet time. I asked for a room move but was told the only renovated rooms go up to a certain floor. The photos are very misleading. The view from my room was nice but had to pay for the upgrade. Also, no mini fridge, only those annoying fridges that if you move anything you get auto charged. So tacky. Also, the shower/bath combo is old and tiny.I checked out and went to the fairmont pacific rim down the street and so happy I did!
Thib_ F: Great experience in family . Service was so nice and very good dishes at the restaurant , great hot pool thanks for all the employee. I will come back for sure! I highly recommend this place
