Contenders Boxing: what do users think?
Paul Lu: Incredibly welcoming space with patient teachers and diverse membership. You learn a new skill, get a great workout and most of all it's a great community. Each class fun and friendly so that you'll want to keep coming back.
Radhika Lal: I am so unfit that I avoid gyms, never feel welcome, training with superfit people always made me conscious of myself and my lack of abilities.Contenders on the otherhand, from the first day I came in, the trainers (Kevin and Sebastian) made me feel very comfortable. The classes are structured and it doesn't matter if you are uncoordinated like me, they are patient and will show you what to do. What I really like about Contenders though, is its members! Everyone has made me feel comfortable and encourages me every time I go to class. Facilities are nice too!
Monique Bennett: Very friendly gym. I recommend this place
Mat Laprie: Amazing classes and super friendly staff !
Maggoo Drums: This gym is fantastic. Today I had my first class. I’m really surprised and satisfied, I’ll definitely keep working out there.
Paul Martin: Best workouts I've ever head. Staff and members are a lot of fun.
fared moeini: Amazing atmosphere and trainers
Cynthia Su: The entire team and atmosphere at Contenders is unforgettable. Seb, Max, and Kevin are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. They will teach you the mechanics and fundamentals of boxing while having a great time. I would highly recommend them! Once you go to one class, you'll keep coming back for more!
Mark Mancini: I am currently doing sessions with Kevin, this is one of the best things I've ever done for myself. I'm a lawyer and went through years being out of shape etc, but being a big boxing fan. I wanted a gym that would ease me into the sport, and Kevin has been a great coach and mentor. I would recommend this gym to anyone who is hesitant about getting into shape or learning the basics of boxing. I feel like each week I learn something new.
Jean-Paul Laube: I've belonged to, and attended a lot of gyms in my time. All kinds, all disciplines. Contenders is a 1% gym. You don't find places like this. The staff sets a standard of attention, knowledge, kindness, service, humility, and acceptance that you won't find anywhere else.I came to get in shape.I stayed because Seb, Nikko, Kevin, Max, and Yo were so generous with their knowledge, attention, and inclusiveness that I was immediately hooked. Thanks team. You're the highlight of my day. :)JP
Patrick Ghanem: Contenders Boxing lives up to the high praise of prior reviews. The trainers are super friendly, highly knowledgeable and always eager to help. They genuinely want you to learn and improve, which makes you want to keep coming back for more and before you know it your skills and your health have drastically improved. The COVID protocols are top notch. The members are friendly and welcoming. It's just a great place to spend time, get in shape, and learn a fascinating sport.
Tomasz Madelski: Great gym with awesome coaching team
Michael Elliott: I think that most people are hesitant to start boxing because they are worried about learning the sport in an intimidating environment (think dark basement gym with cigar chomping coach yelling at you). Contenders is the exact opposite. The workout is intense, but the coaches are friendly, encouraging, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable. I have been coached by Sebastian for over six years and can attest that he is one of the best humans on the planet in addition to being a world class boxing coach. This place is a gem. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Nikhilesh Nayar: If you want to learn boxing and get fit this is the place! Great staff and great members. Equipment is new and well maintained. I started boxing there about 6 years ago and I love it more each year. Started doing the classes and the personal training sessions with their boxing experts are a sure way to sharpen up any skills you feel might need improvement. All around great boxing gym!
Rafael R: I have been a member for over a decade; Contenders is like a second home for me. For those that are curious about learning boxing techniques or looking for an alternative exercise to improve your conditioning, this is the place to learn. The trainers and instructors are very helpful, as well it is an amicable atmosphere amongst the members. You are never alone when you train at Contenders! It's more entertaining than your average gym/studio.
Madeleine Byblow: I've been a member for over a year and am now in the best shape of my life. The classes are fun, engaging, and always different (perfect if you get bored easily like I do!) Every coach is so friendly and helpful, yes even Kevin when he's chirping you on the mic (don't worry he only does it to me, it seems). Overall, best workout with the best group. Highly recommend joining!
Daylan Butchart: Contenders is a great atmosphere for anyone looking to learn the science of boxing, increase activity or train to the point of registered fights. Each instructor offers a different style of boxing so the classes never feel stale or repetitive, as well as you can seek out personal training sessions with any one of the trainers. I personally enjoy the 6 am morning classes where Yo will teach long-combos each Friday, the 4:30 pm classes on Tuesday & Thursday where Sebastian will teach you beginning sparring, and the Monday & Wednesday 6:30 pm classes where Kevin will help you improve foot work & punch combination technique. Richard, Max, Nikko and Dimitri are cool too, I guess.
Ed Carbery: Don't let the country-club facilities fool you, this is a great gritty boxing club in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Excellent classes from beginners to advanced. Great trainers but always really bad jokes.
len catling: An awesome experience. The coaches are really good at training all skills levels. Great gym if you just want to get in shape - or if you want to start sparring. The staff love boxing and it shows in their training styles. The monthly membership is an excellent value if you go a couple times a week. A few times a year they will have a party at the gym with an open bar, food and you can watch PPV fights on their big screen TV.When I started just over a year ago, I weighed 220 lbs. and had back and knee problems. Now I’m 195 lbs. and have never felt better in my life.Join this gym! You’ll have fun and get fit!
Bega Nur: Amazing gym best eva! Stuff really care bout u! Dont wait get that membership people!!!!!
PBC: awesome trainers and great atmosphere

Quinit Boxing: what do users think?
diego mejia: Ryan Garcia needs this coach
Ivar steam: My quinit experience was amazing, arguir showed me the ropes, isn’t he an amazing little ir?
Alexandr Babenko: Training at quinit is amazing for beginners to top level amateurs, great coaches, environment and equipment. As someone who came just for a training camp, I was impressed with the organization of the gym, very easy to make new friends too
Thomas Fraser: As difficult as it is to get myself to do exercise, I never regret going for a class here. Their classes are fun, the trainers are friendly, and the people are nice to talk to!
Matthew Doyle: Awesome! Instructors are knowledgeable and friendly and work with everyone at their level, while at the same time helping them improve. No egos, no attitude, just great straight up old school boxing in an all-inclusive atmosphere and space.
J “JTEE” Tee: Haven't officially trained at this gym, but have been watching and learning a lot via the Instagram page. Thank you!!! I would love to train there one day. Keep it up! From Melbourne, Australia
Sean McDonnell: Trained with Quinit for the summer of 2022. Uniquely welcoming atmosphere, absolutely 0 ego in the gym which makes for an ideal learning environment. Coaching and organisation is second to none and accommodates for all levels of experience due to the diversity in class type. Hands down the place to go to for anyone looking to learn or compete in Vancouver. Hope to be back soon.
R B: The best boxing gym out here
Aidon W: Jon is amazing! He creates a family environment so everyone feels at home when in the gym. Glad to be part of the community!
Dean Foley: Normally I don’t write reviews but after my recent experience with Quinit I had too.Been strongly considering and wanting to sign up for a boxing gym for a long time but was always holding back and not committing as I’ve never boxed before. I Just signed up this week and Rebecca made the whole process very easy and smooth and answered any questions and concerns that I had as I’m just a beginner.I signed up for a first time consultation with John today and couldn’t of met a nicer guy went threw the basics at a good pace to suit myself to make sure I understand and gave me lots of tips and pointers to work on. Already looking forward to going back for my first class and I can’t recommend this place enough for beginners like myself if your considering joining go for it you won’t regret joining this place!!
logan asbhik: My wife said I was getting out of shape so. I thought I’d give these guys a try. I don’t like weight lifting but thought I would try boxing. I signed up with Quinit. It was bit intimidating at first (being out of shape and beginner doesn’t help either). But the training programs there were very helpful and can’t say good enough stuff about these guys !!
Dylan M: Good class.
Jonathan Ta: The absolute best boxing gym in the city. This place is a gem and the sense of community here is unreal. The people are great, the atmosphere is great, but what really makes it stand out are the coaches here. Jon has done an amazing job recruiting some stand up people to represent his gym. Whatever your skill level is the coaches are always giving everyone their equal attention and genuinely want you to progress in boxing and fitness. Love this place!
Zak Laraman: I recently went for a trial open gym session and won't be looking at any other clubs. No posing, just cool guys learning the craft. Very welcoming, unpretentious, classic boxing gym. Looking forward to getting involved.
Antony Maluzynsky: Sweet gym and amazing coaching! Highly recommended.
Ethan Richmond: Great space with a huge focus on inclusiveness, real boxing technique and giving back to the community. Quinit recently did a fundraiser for an Afghanistan relief charity. The coaches offered up private lessons as an incentive to get people to donate (Amazing). I happened to win some private lessons with Sean. Sean showed me more in an hour than I thought possible. He was able to meet me where I was at in my boxing skill and gave me lots to work on. If your looking for some 1 on 1 coaching I would highly recommend booking an appointment with Sean!
SaveDeion: Love it
Toby W: One of the best boxing gym with some of the greatest coaches in Vancouver. They are professional and knowledgeable.
Mark Ho: Fully equipped, knowledgeable coaches, great atmosphere, great COVID protocols.
Michael Doherty: Great club, great people, great classes and training 🥊🥊🥊 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ivan Lys: Great place to learn and make life changes. Supportive environment. Friendly and professional coaches. Amazing value.

Raincity Boxing Studio: what do users think?
Amanda Zhang: I recently started my fitness journey at Raincity with my trainer Joy, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. As a beginner, I was nervous shy about starting workout, but Joy's friendly and supportive. She takes the time to explain the techniques and correct my form, which has helped me progress much faster than I expected. The gym itself is well-maintained and the staff are friendly. Really appreciate it!
Drew Gimblett: Great boxing programs for beginners all the way to people who compete in the amateur and professional ranks. Good weight area with tons on free weights, Olympic bars and racks. Strength and condition coaches and physio are available on site as well.
Cyrus Wong: W gym
Jeffer Ward: Great gym, It has an amazing staff and community!!
Andy Navarro (andycapped): Great boxing gym! They have free weights and machines too. Lift some iron, hit the bags to finish it up. Great stuff!
Fahid D: So glad I found this boxing community (calling it a gym does not really do it justice), I can't really put into words how awesome this place is to train. Everyone is very friendly, approachable, and all the trainers, and head coach (Sean Sung) are so good - they are very helpful. They are professional and really want to see you get better. I believe you can learn a lot about life from any sort of martial arts, but the key is to have a good teacher(s)/mentor, and they have that here. Something I did not expect was the element of Bushido at Raincity (if you know, you know) - but after I spoke with Sean, it made sense, because of his other martial arts background.Halfway through my free trial class with Sean, I told him "I'm joining!" - and I did. If you are a beginner, older, younger, etc, don't be hesitant - they are very welcoming to everybody and will work with you to the best of your current ability. The gym itself has multiple heavy bags, speed bags, ropes, bands, mats, free weights, racks, and machines if you want to workout on your own. They also have a huge projector display on the wall that is constantly playing boxing, martial arts fights, which is cool. They have a multitude of group classes every day focusing on different aspects of boxing like fundamentals, movement, techniques, padwork, and conditioning.Check this place out!
For a Whale: Great boxing place, yesterday’s match was a blast , hope they can host more events like this.
Nicolas Rivera: I’ve been here for 4+ years I’m 14 I’ve lost over 50 pounds coming here and I’ve learned discipline and also found a second home. This place is so welcoming to all ages and ethnicities and great for the community.Thank you raincity.
Shawn Sun: This is the best boxing studio I’ve ever experienced. Coach here are so nice, instructive and friendly. Especially Sean, he can offer really detailed and useful tips for helping improvement. I’ll give 6/5 if I can ;)
Anthony: One of the most professional and well kept gyms in the lower mainland. Excellent atmosphere and super friendly.
Chris R: I have been training at Raincity Boxing Club, and more specially with Henry Pham, for a little over a year now, and can clearly say that this is the most detailed oriented and technical coaching I have ever received. As someone who has trained at various other gyms and in various other martial arts, Henry’s coaching has enabled me to be able to refine and retrain my technique. Even with my various limitations and injuries. His passion for the sport and his dedication towards his clients, drives you to push beyond your perceived limitations every session. Plain and simple his coaching and methodology works.
sheena the nurse: This has been a great training and learning atmosphere thus far. Joy is an incredible patient and professional trainer who is compassionate, empathetic, and encouraging, especially for a beginner like myself! She is motivating, attentive, addresses my concerns and issues well, and I always look forward to getting a great workout in! Thanks, Joy!
PAULA DHILLON: I have been strength training at this gym since May of this year and my plantar fasciitis have disappeared!! Thank you Joy for your help and other trainers at the gym. Highly recommend!
Zoe: I have been training boxing with Henry for the last few months.I love that each hour you have with him, you will get a lot out of your session. He’s meticulous, very knowledgeable about the sport , and breaks everything down concisely and to your understanding. He even helped me pick out my first pair of wraps and gloves from Mikado.
Debbie Besoiu: My favorite place to workout
R S: Amazing gym. Mikhail is the best trainer. If you join this gym definitely get private sessions with him. Very experienced! Great gym!
Derrick: This is a close-knit community filled with love, sweat and fulfillment.
Marcus Trinaldo: Best boxing gym. Shawn is an excellent trainer and his work shows. Love his pad holding style
Keertan Gill: I took some beginner boxing lessons with Tre at Raincity Boxing and had a great experience. Tre was responsive and very easy to book a time for the personal training sessions. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to break down boxing concepts to make it easy for a beginner to pick up.The gym itself was very clean and staff onsite were helpful when I asked any questions. Raincity is a great local business and if you're looking to get into boxing check them out. Their first personal training session is also free and I would highly recommend Tre as a trainer.Looking forward to coming back for some more classes.
Elijah Hewer: Having also attended Quinit Boxing for a couple months, I can say this is another fantastic gym. Great coaches and the new Richmond facility has a good balance of space and equipment. My only (small) critique is I wish they had more heavy bags.
Matt L: I've been training at Raincity for over a year and I've been hooked ever since. I trained with Samuel Moses - before he left for Mexico to go pro - and now have been training with Henry Pham. Great atmosphere and everyone is super welcoming. I would definitely recommend Raincity.

Beyond Boxing: what do users think?
Jenny Ma: Beyong Boxing has good coach, my son fell in love with boxing after the first try out.Robin, the boss is a very kind and reasonable getleman, if you register the classes with him, your training and money are in the good hands. Highly recommend.
Kat Tanton: Uninviting, unfriendly and unwelcoming. I've never done boxing before and the website sounded very promising. I booked a class that on their website says it great for beginners. I get there and immediately feel uncomfortable. No reception desk or anywhere talk to to staff to help get me. There was a class in session so I waited awkwardly not knowing what to do with myself. I only spotted one staff member and they visibly noticed me and after the class he just disappeared so I never got a chance to speak with him. So I asked someone who wasn't staff for help and she informed me this class was for more advance members. Even tho on there website is stated it was great for beginners. And she pointed to a big dude that was intensely in the middle of working out boxing and said that the teacher. Still NO STAFF IN SITE. I honestly had no idea what to do and felt so uncomfortable and out of place. I ended up leaving before the class started. If you are new to boxing DO NOT COME HERE. NOBODY WILL HELP YOU. Terrible experience.
Aaron R: I moved to BC around 5 years ago and came from an old school, no frills kind of gym that operated fully in a not-for-profit capacity. My coaches and training partners were family- and we were all there for the simple fact that we love the sport of boxing, nothing more and nothing less- it’s been a struggle to find a club that matched that energy here in the GVA, and Beyond Boxing has finally given me a new place to call home. I fell in love with a gruelling first workout- but I keep coming back for the people. Great coaches, who know the right balance of support and pressure to keep you on your toes and trying your best. Everyone is so friendly and so welcoming it’s been easy for even an introverted person like myself to feel completely at ease and at home. Thanks Robin and everyone else in the Beyond Boxing family, happy to have found my way to you.
Loida de Leon: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Long appreciation post ahead because Beyond Boxing deserves it :)When you hear the word boxing, at some point it feels like intimidating, right? Like as for me, I have never tried boxing ever before so I was so hesitant and scared to join any boxing classes for fear that I might not be able to cope up. But thankfully, I landed at Beyond Boxing. The first time, I already felt like a part of the family. All the participants were very welcoming, friendly and will never let you feel like a beginner at all. They even gave helpful tips on how boxing have helped and changed their whole physical, emotional and mental well-being. Pranav, the coach is very supportive, motivates and really teaches you the right way to do it. He is by far the best coach I know. Fast forward to now, it feels incomplete not having attend a class in a week. Thank you, Beyond Boxing for all that you do. To Infinity and Beyond Boxing!
JustAmazin x: Trevor is an amazing coach!
Zia A Verjee: Have been coming here for a few weeks now and I am really enjoying it. I’ve taken classes led by both Jimmy and Artem and they work you hard with great instruction. Would definitely recommended Beyond Boxing for someone looking for a fun boxing workout or looking to improve their skills!
Ismail Kiran: I have been a member of Beyond Boxing family for a couple years now and this gym is truly a gem! If you are looking to have a great work-out or sharpen your boxing skills, look no further. This gym has very knowledgeable instructors with extensive background not only in boxing but also overall strength and conditioning.I would highly recommend this gym to anyone who is interested in the sweet science!
Wooki Jung: Been going here for about a year now. Great boxing gym, will keep attending!
Chris Jung: Amazing first experience so far, can't wait to go again!
Denis Moroz: Amazing place with phenomenal coaches! Artem, Robin and Adam are absolutely best. Very welcoming environment. Highly recommend.
Joe Jollene: Came in a several days ago, seemed like a decent gym! However when I was waiting around I overheard some of the members chatting and what they were talking about really threw me off. I'm sure the training is fine and all but I don't think I'd like to support a place whose members are pretty sketchy. I'm always wary of places that promote themselves as a "warm and welcoming space"
Joshua Hobbs: Don't go here your things might go missing. THIEVES AT THIS GYM WITH 4 LETTER NAMES
Dylan A. Dunne: bad experience, pretty weird place
Jessina Cornfield: Abuser go boxing elsewhere
Lachlan B: Highly recommend beyond boxing to anyone!!! Robin the gym owner is an amazing guy and all the people in the gym were amazing! So if your looking to learn how to box or even just get fit, this place is the perfect spot!! Thanks to Robin and the Team at Beyond Boxing!
Mike Lister: Apologies Up front for the long review!I have only been coming to this gym since Feb 2022, but right away they make you feel like family. At the time I joined, I was at an incredibly low point in my life, thankfully I found Beyond Boxing. All of the coaches are incredibly patient, knowledgeable and encouraging. The workouts are amazing, the conditioning classes are punishing!!All of my fellow classmates are awesome. It is a very welcoming environment, especially for someone like me who has severe social anxiety, I can go to the gym and feel at ease.I encourage anyone looking for a boxing gym to come and check out Beyond Boxing. The smaller class sizes are exactly what I was looking for, you get individual attention even in a full class. So I just want to thank all the coaches and fellow boxing students for giving this old metal head a reason to keep punching!!!
T Rachel: An amazing gym for all levels. I have been visiting Beyond Boxing for past two years. Every coach I have met is super friendly and encouraging with positive vibe. I will definitely recommend the gym to anyone who would like to get into boxing or just working out in general :)
Josh Nguyen: Beyond boxing is an amazing local gym in Burnaby. It has a very welcoming and friendly environment. The head coach Robin is great. He is always looking out for you and giving tips on what you can approve on in the ring. All the members and coaches makes you feel comfortable and at home.
Madonna Gonzalez: The 7:30pm technical boxing class with Artem was such a great workout. Phenomenal coach!
T'brenn Mckinnon: A hidden gem in North Burnaby, Beyond Boxing is a fantastic gym for both novices and those with boxing experience. Artem's technical boxing classes are a particular highlight, with challenging but accessible workouts and great coaching. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 are a highlight of my week!
Jaejun H: Love this place 💪🏼 -Jay

They have classes for all skill levels across multiple disciplines. Relatively new gym, so all equipment is new. Spotless facilities: change rooms, showers, lockers, and children's play area. I can ask him ALL the questions, and know that I’ll be seen and heard. So happy to have found this place!!

Nobody makes you feel intimidated and everyone during class is a joy to roll with. The gym stays clean and fresh, the showers are professionally tiled, and they even have a designated kids play area. Highly recommend Hero for anyone that wants to begin jiu jitsu or any martial art they offer. See you there!
Cale Moodie: Fantastic clean gym and friendly staff.
Foroohar Rafiei: My daughter started taking Jujitsu classes here and I love to see her confidence has gone up 10 folds. I love the way kids are treated and are taught accountability besides the techniques they are learning. Keep doing the great job Hero Academy.
WilliAm and cassandra Buenavista: Friendly and great owners and staff. Feels like you are part of a family. My daughter loves the gym. We go there 5 days a week. Very clean and top notch facility. Affordable and close to transit.
Erika Mayall: My son did a one week camp in the summer and absolutely LOVED it. The staff were so welcoming and kept the kids engaged with lots of fun activities throughout the day. Will definitely be back next summer for camp!
Mary Jones: Found this place on the internet and so glad we did! I signed my son up for a week of summer camp and LOVED it! He loved it so much we ended up signing him up for another full week! They kept the kids engaged, lots of exercise and day trips! We will definitely be coming back for another camp!!!
Fiona Chen: Our kid really enjoyed the summer camp. Thank you :)
Katie P.: My son attended a summer camp with Hero! He LOVED it!! they kept their days diversified with kick boxing, Jiu Jitsu and fun lunch time activities (think water park on hot summer days, hiking in Lynn Valley and walks to neighboring parks). They went above and beyond to make their days entertaining! I’m still jealous of the cool shirt he got! Fingers crossed there will be Spring camp and Summer camp in 2023!!We also did drop-in classes on the weekends and it’s best location for mom or dad to get a coffee while the kids are burning off some energy!!Highly recommend!!
JJ Kozak: My son participated in the summer program at Hero Academy this year. He very much enjoyed his time, and benefitted from the instruction. My son is not one to mince words when he didn’t have a good time, or he feels that he didn’t get “his moneys worth”. But, every day I picked him up he had a huge smile on his face, and he was bursting with excitement waiting to show the new moves that he had learned on his brother. I feel that the program has improved his confidence, and he was able to handle himself pretty well during a tussle which he got into with a bigger kid over the summer holidays. Not that we want him to use this, but it’s nice to know that he has a increased ability to stick up for himself if the situation calls for it. Great program with great people. I would highly recommend.
Brody Billington: Good place to learn martial arts. Best coaches.
Patrick St-Pierre: The best martial arts gym i've ever been to. period!
Pilar Lacima: My 6 yr-old daughter took MMA, Jiu Jitsu and Strike clases for almost 6 months at Hero. She was able to overcome severe bullying at her school thanks to the purpose that is immersed not only in Meego and Jaime, but also in all the coaches that are part of this great team. She earned confidence during this process and now she has no mental barriers or disadvantages. We will deeply miss Hero and its people and we can't wait to come back and get to know all the great life stories they are influencing with their discipline and mindset. I highly recommend this academy for all youth as they will only have very positive life-lasting experiences that will help them become great adults, make friends and have fun in the meanwhile. In addition, prices and plans are very reasonable for their offering. Very grateful with Hero!

Elements Academy of Martial Arts: what do users think?
Bowie Kung: I have always wanted to but felt intimidated by taking a self-defense class. My worry was quickly dispelled. Mysha and Elizabeth (the instructors) made it such a safe space, and taught techniques that were practical and simple. I don’t ever want to have the need to use any of these techniques but I certainly feel more confident if I ever need to!
Sinead Neary: Mysha was awesome!! She taught in an informative, trauma-informed, enthusiastic, and engaging manner. The self defence techniques were also really helpful to start with and I cannot wait to learn more. My sister and I left feeling incredibly empowered!
anita mahinpei: I attended the self-defense workshop hosted by Elements Academy at the cmd-f hackthon at UBC. Despite it being a 1 hour workshop, the instructors were able to teach us various moves and give us insight into how the basis for these moves can be transferred to other self-defense scenarios. I also really liked that the workshop was beginner friendly and did not require the use of any special equipment. Instructors were also super friendly and did not hesitate to answer our questions!
Shakiba Inside A Screen (Shakibzz): Mysha is wonderful - I took self-defense workshops with her at SFU. She's funny, skilled, knowledgeable, and welcomes questions. She's also a great instructor. I've loved learning from her and if everyone at this academy is similar to her even a little bit, I definitely recommend!
Tara Cannon: I have been training in the Ladies Kickboxing Class for almost 10 years. Both Emma and Mysha are extremely dedicated instructors, running a class that is both physically challenging and a lot of fun. The class whipped me into shape after my second child and has kept me fit ever since. I look forward to training with them for many years to come.I should also mention that both my kids have attended Elements martial arts classes. Neither one loved team sports, so it was a perfect way to keep them physically fit and confident.
Liz O: Knowledgeable instructors, fun classes, chill atmosphere. Kids' classes, women's classes, coed classes. Learn to defend yourself while enjoying a hard workout that's never the same twice.
Rachel Nixon: Elements is an inspiring and empowering place to train and get fit. I've been training with Mysha and Emma for four years now and am grateful for their positive, encouraging approach that infuses not just the classes themselves but the way they run their business and create connections across the Elements community.Training sessions are rightly challenging but never impossible, and are grounded in the instructors' deep knowledge and experience. The sessions are well tailored to each client's individual fitness levels, and no two sessions are ever the same. Each time I go to Elements I leave feeling that I have learned something new and that I am becoming progressively stronger and fitter.
Kathryn Lim: I first took a self-defence class at Elements a couple of years ago for as a work team event, after an incident at our work place that made us feel unsafe. Mysha is an amazing teacher and not only taught us escape moves, but catered the private class to our unique situation. We all left feeling more confident and capable. Fast forward to a couple of years later, I went back with my friends after my friend expressed feelings of vulnerability in a hypothetical situation. I quickly looked up elements to see what classes they would provide, and ended up they have a free self-defence class for women! We went as a group of 4 and, once again, was impressed by Mysha and Kate. Everything was so clearly explained, hit home and was fun too! They really provided a safe environment for us to learn, practice and even sent follow up notes. Thanks, Mysha and Kate. You're truly inspirational women. Thank you for taking time out of your lives to help women rid themselves of our feelings of vulnerability and helplessness.
Crescendo Dental: Best kickboxing class in town. Both coaches, Emma and Mysha, are awesome.
Marcelo Mora: One of the best kids programs in town!
Tracey Hirsch: Elements is an amazing place to train, to learn and to connect with a wonderful community of people. I've been training there for almost 8 years and have gone from being completely out of shape to feeling strong, fit and able to push myself more and more, even as I move deeper into my 50s. The instructors are knowledgeable, experienced, supportive and all around great people. I highly recommend!
Braden Haggerty: Love working out at Elements. I get a great fitness regime and am learning at the same time. I never have to make myself show up to train. Alwayslooking forward to the next class as not two classes are ever the same.
Chantelle Ingram: I have been going to Elements for four years now and absolutely love it! The classes are fun, accessible, and engaging but the community of members and coaches are what makes them shine. Everyone is very supportive which makes for an awesome class experience.
Jen Z: Elements is a great place for both beginners and experienced people alike. The instructors here are incredibly welcoming and inclusive, and are very patient, friendly, and experienced. If you are nervous about joining a kickboxing gym, this place is perfect as they don't have that meathead vibe that other places have that can scare off newcomers. If you want to feel like part of a community with amazing people, this is the gym to belong to!
Kelly Rattanee: I love this place!!! I always feel strong and empowered when I leave!! The staff are all amazing, as are the fellow members!
