If you want to be healthy or if you want to be vegetarian, there’s plenty of options. TriedSquash benedict uses the squash as the bread, very goodSalmon benedict, goodMeusli I lovedSmoothie very healthy and refreshingChorizo birria taco goodButtermilk biscuits came with amazing butter but the biscuits were ok. I love everything else on the menu moreBanana crepes I didn’t care forThe other sweet dish “ooey gooy skillet” was essentially a peach cobbler and sooo good. Fav item on the menuTheir chicken and waffles i liked and especially the chicken wasn’t relying on the fried part for all taste.65$ a person includes drip coffee and tea

At one point I was waiting for a biscuit for over 20 minutes (after asking two different people,) and when I finally asked someone again, I saw that the biscuits were just sitting in a heated basket right behind us.No one apologized, not even once! In fact, after the biscuit incident, I think our server purposely avoided making eye contact. It was pretty odd.Don't recommend.

damanpreet singh: If you're looking for a top-notch dining experience in a welcoming atmosphere, Cafe One at the Sheraton hotel is definitely worth checking out. The first thing that struck me about this restaurant was the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted and made to feel right at home. The service was equally impressive, with attentive servers who made sure that everything was to my liking. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations on what to order. I also appreciated how they were always available when needed, but never intrusive or overbearing. Now, let's talk about the food. The dishes were all well-prepared and beautifully presented, with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the vegetation options, which were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The menu also had a good variety of seafood and meat options. As for the atmosphere, it's hard to beat the ambiance of Cafe One. The decor is stylish and sophisticated, yet still comfortable and inviting. Whether you're there for a romantic dinner or a casual lunch with friends, you'll feel right at home in this elegant setting.Overall, I highly recommend Cafe One at the Sheraton hotel. The combination of exceptional service, delicious food, and inviting atmosphere make it one of the best dining experiences in town. If you're looking for a memorable meal that you won't soon forget, this is the place to be.

Adam Newsome: Came here for Dine Out Vancouver and I was very impressed with the food. High quality, great presentation, perfect portion sizes, and fast! The servers were very nice and professional. I don't know about their regular menu, but it is definitely worth checking out for Dine Out!
Rodrigo Tertuliano
Rodrigo Tertuliano: Two stars just because the service was good. The food was not good, though. My wife and I decided to try the Vancouver Dine Out menu, and it was not a pleasant experience at all. The food was the blandest food I've ever tried. The meat was dry and tasteless, the soup had no seasoning, and to finalize everything, my wife ordered a risotto that was not even made with risotto rice. Personally, I find this very disrespectful to the customer. Especially given the price they charge. Even instant noodles have more taste than the food we ate there.I would not recommend it at all.

Staff will say they can't do anything about it. Ex shown in photos - beer is $10, but should be $9. It's the principal of charging more vs the cost of the menu, and doing nothing about it.Still tipped generously, but it's not a place that I'd be excited to return to for a fourth time.

Sharon Richards: Dockside has improved again. Last time we were there was a couple of years ago and not great. Last night we had a lovely meal of starters. Pork belly was outstanding. Potatoes also delicious. Great cocktails. Great service. Even young Rex was very attentive by keeping our water glasses full and clearing our table. A wonderful night!

Jordan Reid: We came on a day that wasn’t very busy. Our server took a very long time taking our order. She didn’t come to even take our drink order before going to take a table of 16’s food and drink order. Our two person order would have been very quick. After this she went and billed out another table before finally coming to take our order. This caused us to wait almost an hour before getting our food- which was all we ordered.Overall, the food was good, nothing to write home about. Wouldn’t recommend. Mediocre food and not great service. But a lovely view.
Nicole Harpold
Nicole Harpold: Weird and disappointing. We stayed at the hotel and we’re so excited when we checked in to see a waterfront restaurant right at the hotel. After wandering all afternoon around Granville Island and shopping, we were looking forward to dinner on-site. At check-in we even received a promo coupon for a “chef’s choice” happy hour appetizer, happy from 3pm - 5pm. We walked into the restaurant at 4:40 and were seated no problem, they even had a high chair for our toddler, no problem. We put our order in for our promo appetizer, plus two other happy hour appetizers to share as well as 2 cocktails at 4:45. Waitress brought our drinks and our first appetizer (marinated olives) no problem. About 5 minutes later (4:52 by my watch). Waitress came out and apologized, and said our order had been cancelled by the kitchen because happy hour was over. Excuse me? You still have happy hour menus in the table, the signs and the cards you hand out to guests all day until 5pm, but at 4:45 the kitchen starts cancelling orders? Okay. Check please, we’ll take our business elsewhere. One star for the nice view and the very apologetic waitress who was highly embarrassed by all of it.
Thea
Thea: Food was good. Wasnt happy with our server victoryia though. She was nice but her service wasnt the best. We didnt get side plates when our appetizers arrived and we were starving so we ate it right then and there with no plates to share. She didnt even ask how our food was until she gave us the bill to pay. We asked for refils but they came 10 minutes later. She took our napkins away when she took our appetizer plates away and didnt give us new ones. My mom ordered clams (which were delicious) and she sat there for 20 minutes with no eyes on our server to get a napkin. It turned out to be so cold so we asked for a blanket and she took 10 minutes to get that. We asked to sit at a table that wasnt wobbly. I even said if its a big issue we can stay its no problem but she totally avoided the question and never came back woth an answer whether we could or couldnt move. For a dinner that was 300+ $ especially on mothers day it was such a disappointment to have a server that seemed to not care. We asked about 2 other servers to get us our bill because we couldnt find victoria and they all said theylle be right there but then go to their pos system and then walk right away far away from us. I understand we might have been annoying and asked for too many things but its expensive eating out and we want everything to go perfect. We most likely will never go back to this restaurant just because of the service we received.

Joel McCooey (The Tough Critique)
Joel McCooey (The Tough Critique): We decided to dine here since we we’re staying at the Granville Island hotel. First impressions were good and the service staff were attentive. The first plate we had was the Wagyu Beef Carpacio. This was delicious and well plated. Accompanying this plate was the smoked olives these were very good although only some of the olives on the plate were smoked. Ok, good start. The mains were overall lacklustre in all ways. Lacking in presentation, flavour and overall composition. I can guess that this could only be attributed to the fact that cooks in a kitchen are only as good as their training. Perhaps if there were just a little more over the shoulder looking by the head chef these plates would come out cleaner. I will say that whoever wrote the menu did a fantastic job. i did want to order everything on it.

Eat Eat (Icaneatanelephant): It was our first time here, we liked the environment here, nice and quiet, great service, great food, and very reasonable price. I didn’t add as a special occasion when we book online, however through the conversation they found out is my bday, I didn’t expect a card and a tasty hazelnut chocolate cake. The wine ! One of the spots, the white wine was very fruity with clean after taste, fruity as actual fruity not the sweetness, it is very pleasant pairing with my cream sauce halibut. The halibut was just cook right ! Not too cook or raw, it’s just prefect .The red wine as I rmb is from California, its buttery and a little spice, very good with the sirloin steak, the sauce is also a hit, a very good recommendation of the wine pairing from the server Todd.Sorry to mention your name here but I truly appreciated your service with heart and in details. You did shown your passion of what you are doing. But walk outside of the restaurant by the water is refreshing.

Alex Rose: I came here this evening for my birthday dinner with some friends. We were really excited after hearing great reviews. We ordered some sharing plates and most of them did not seem fresh or had a very unpleasant taste. Nicholas Quintillan
Nicholas Quintillan: Certainly a terrific experience. I’ve known the lead bartender my whole life. He recently won some well-deserved accolades and he truly is the best bartender in Canada and even perhaps the world. A strong statement for sure, however, his cocktails are creative, unique, balanced, and ridiculously flavourful. The service was outstanding and the food was unbelievably great. If you want an “out-of-this-world” experience, come have some drinks and food at Botanist. Highly, highly recommended! It was the best Burrata and Duck I’ve ever had.

It took 5 phone calls to finally get the refund. I never actually spoke to anyone from the restaurant, only the hotel. Never received a note or apology for the inconvenience, the charge was just quietly refunded to my card and I noticed on my statement.

Joel Chan: We got the three-course brunch and it was delicious. I ordered the charcuterie plate as my appetizer followed by a croque madame and the strawberry coconut panna cotta for dessert. The food was fantastic and I don't know which dish I liked more because it was honestly all good. My wife ordered the hand-cut beef tartare, butter poached lobster benedict, and the milk chocolate coffee mousse. We also got the antioxidant juice, orange juice, and blue moon non-alcoholic cocktail which paired very nicely with our food. Overall great experience with a very friendly, courteous, and professional staff. Even the washrooms were gorgeous.

The food and service are excellent. I ordered the vegetarian dish for my main course and was quite disappointed with the portion size - it was laughably small, fewer than 10 small bites. It's a pricey restaurant and the quality is absolutely up to par but after spending $100 per person, guests should have enough food to be satisfied, not wanting more.

Fair price for the flavour and serving size. The beef tartare was really memorable. Lamb belly poutine was a great mixture of custom French fries with a nice balance of cheese. Eggs Benedict had the right amount of hollandaise and the lobster bumped it to that next level. Dessert met our expectations and were balanced without being too overwhelmingly sweet. Great way to finish off our meal.$71 for the three course which me and my partner had. Was surprisingly filled by the end of it.

Kimberly Stephenson: A week after dining here, I'm still trying to wrap my head around how amazing this place was! The drinks, food, atmosphere-- EVERYTHING exceeded expectations. Even the journey to the bathroom was pleasantly surprising; I found myself lingering at the hallway photography exhibits, and feasting my eyes on the bustling lounge below. There was also a live pianist, whose effervescent fingers doled out jazzy covers to pop songs like something out of a 40's noir film. The lighting was perfect (not too bright, not too dim). It's impossible to say the service was inattentive-- they anticipated every refill, every wanton desire for more oatmeal sourdough bread (which was scrumptious). The other culinary standouts were the lamb shanks/belly (which now rivals bacon for me, lol!) and the sour-cream ice cream for dessert. Be prepared to crave another visit! 😝

Heather Lawrence
Heather Lawrence: Went for Afternoon Tea on a quiet Tuesday afternoon. The dining area is comfortable, lovely view, and good atmosphere for visiting. The tea was very good but only good for 1 brew. The food was a bit underwhelming unfortunately. The savories were probably the best of the bunch with the exception of the spinach tart (not great). Both scones, although quite small, were light, flakey, and made more delicious with the clotted cream and strawberry jam.The sweets included a fudgey chocolate cake pop, mango tart with mango mousse (very tasty), and a rosewater Panna cotta with matcha sauce(?) And freeze dried raspberry pieces. The texture or the Panna cotta was smooth and creamy but it tasted like eating a rose covered in grass clippings.Total cost with tax before tip was $183 but I had a 2 for 1 groupon so total before tip was $86. I've had better afternoon teas elsewhere so probably will not return. The regular menu food looked delicious so I would come back for that.Free 3 hour parking was included.

Julie McManus
Julie McManus: This restaurant has so much potential to be amazing but unfortunately the food was bland, luke warm, and poorly presented despite the high prices. We have been to a few Fairmont restaurants and they all let us down like this. Even the desserts were bad! Stale and cold. The worst part was the lack of offer of a high chair or booster for our one year old. When we eventually asked for one, she said it was possible and she would bring one. It never came, even though the server was back around and could see me struggling with my child on my lap. I can understand if there are no high chairs, but the restaurant caters to kids as they have a kids menu and crayons. So a high chair didn’t seem like an unusual item to expect. The live guitarist was very talented but it was very loud which caused all the customers to speak loudly over each other. The two stars are for the nice view, the cleanliness of the establishment, and the quick wait time for the meal. My cocktail was also a highlight.Vegetarian options: There were about 3 options.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu was affordable. Crayons and colouring sheet offered. Baby change table in bathroom.Staff weren’t too warm with our child.Staff didn’t offer a high chair or booster. We went the whole meal without being offered one, and when we asked for one it never came.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to use our stroller. An elevator is available.

J C: I regularly go for afternoon tea around the Vancouver area and this was not the best, especially for the price (around 80 dollars per person). The restaurant seemed a bit run down and the floors were quite dirty. There was also a strange smell in the area that we were seated. Something like dampness or poorly-refrigerated food smell. Though I made a reservation several days in advance, our table top was dirty with crumbs, salt and pepper. However, we did get a great view of the tarmac from our seats. The staff were also really nice and welcoming. The afternoon tea itself was a bit strange. Much of it was bland or overly salty and with some off-putting textures. Even the dessert tier was oddly flavorless. Parts of the spread that included meat tasted like prepackaged lunch meat. Though service was fast and efficient, we found ourselves just wanting to leave after 45 minutes. The lack of cleanliness and strange smell didn't make for a very comfortable dining experience.

Sarah
Sarah: Came here for Dineout on a Thursday at 6:15pm. Out of the three entrée options only one was available. The server was nice but rushed us - leaving no time to think of any other options after realizing we were not able to order the dishes we wanted. This restaurant opens at 5pm for dinner, so I have no idea why both the chicken and oyster mushroom entrees were not available. It was also not busy, so it is very odd why we were so extremely rushed. Perhaps they were understaffed, but at the end of the meal the server (although nice enough) took our cards and tapped the machine himself saying that he would be faster than if we did it. As he rushed us incredibly, there was no time to think before he already took the card out of our hand to tap the machine.Overall, this Dineout was a fail for our group as the only choice we were able to make was of the two appetizer options. Only one option was available for the entrée, and there was only one option of dessert to begin with. If the food was amazing, we would not have minded as much.. but nothing came out hot, just warm, and the cuts for the main were very inconsistent (one of us got meat that was twice the size of another one). Same with the dessert, some of us had a cluster of pecans with barely any caramel drizzle while another only had only one pecan but more caramel drizzle. Seems as though things were rushed inside the kitchen as well.
Hans Sy
Hans Sy: Came here for DineOut 2023.Menu offers 3 mains: Beef Brisket, Chicken, and Mushrooms. Coming in as a group, we wanted to try it all, but they only had Beef available, unfortunately. We ordered by 7pm, but the other tables had ordered all of the other chicken.Food came, but wasn't hot and ready. Very filling, but beef was a little dry. Cant help but feel it was rushed.Atmosphere and vibes were beautiful. Waiter was rushing, but very kind, almost over bearingly?I feel the location was understaffed, which would explain the quality my party received throughout the evening. Hopefully things improve, I would give H2 another chance. At this price point, I do expect more.PSA: A gratuity is not a charge. This location insists they charge 18% for large parties. Which is fine, I dont usually dispute it. But if I could tip, I would give 12%.
MsLucre CAS
MsLucre CAS: If you are a Filipino diner, avoid this restaurant! One female Filipino reception-server (wearing black uniform with shoulder length hair) at abt 9am, was so mean to us. We requested for a window table & she said "if we were willing to wait." We took the offer to sit down using non-window table. When one window-table became available in-front of us, I approached same Filipino staff that I was speaking with & asked if we could move to that & she said "NO, you can't have it & besides you only have an hour to dine here, we are closing soon." She gave the table instead to a Caucasian diners. We were left feeling speechless. It is a shame that she didn't appreciate us because we happened to be Filipinos too. Worst - it was like telling us "you can only dine for an hour!" Then, another Caucasian staff approached us & she was not patient to take our orders & left. The staff appeared to be serving well the Caucasian diners than Filipino-looking diners. We were going to walk out but decided to give it one more chance. Kareema (non-Filipino staff) by chance noticed that we had been there for long & nobody was serving us, and she was kind enough to take our orders. I told her about the humiliation that we were having & then suddenly the same Filipino server-staff came back to us and kept on explaining her reasons and blah blah blah, it was very shameful that she came back to us three times to tell her reasons infront of everyone - very loud & arguing with us. We really felt very humiliated. If not for Kareema, we would just walk out. One Filipino-server-staff was bossy on us instead of giving us the best experience as it's a new year. This place sucks if you are Filipino diner! Repeat and repeat ---- if you are a Filipino diner, go somewhere else and AVOID this restaurant/hotel because you do not want to be humiliated by a bossy Filipino-server-staff. She should NOT be in that restaurant if she could NOT appreciate a Filipino diner. It is a shame on her as the other staff members were nice to us.

April Heyman
April Heyman: It was nice that the restaurant could accommodate 12 people at short notice. No other restaurant could. But we waited over an hour for our food and other than a couple of us who managed to flag the waitress for a second drink, she never did a drink order for the whole table in that whole hour. The food was horrendous when it did arrive. Only one person in the entire group was happy. He got a steak. We got cauliflower that was frozen in the middle, poke bowls that had clumped rice and warm raw fish, a completely burnt burger patty with burnt bun, the veggie yam bowl was small enough to fit in a small ziplock, cold mash potatoes, cold fries and cold salmon burgers. Hard, dry donuts too. It was just sad. Actually worst food any of us have ever had. If it had something to do with not enough cooks and a massive group, they could have warned us and just brought our food out at different times so it would be fresh. The people who sent their food back got something decent in return. Also, apparently I was told when I asked for a table that they can’t split the bill!?I thought she was just warning us about the 18% gratuity but apparently they can’t do separate bills and we found out at the end. We were all shocked because this has never happened anywhere else. Fortunately our server was kind enough to give it a try and she did it just fine. No mistakes on the bill and she took some meals off. She apologized about the food and was sure to remind us it wasn’t her fault, it was the kitchen’s fault and that they wouldn’t be getting any tips. We thought that was kind of unprofessional, especially considering there were a few people who were not impressed by the service either. The tip became optional after she split our bills so that was good. We could tip how we wanted. That all being said, I have been to Lobby a few times for drinks they’ve been fantastic. I would recommend them for drinks only. And maybe the food is better in smaller groups? I don’t know. It was just a very disappointing food experience.

Max Carter: We went to The Lobby Restaurant for Christmas dinner, and they did not disappoint. We needed to make a reservation beforehand as the restaurant was very busy. We had a private room to have dinner in, which was pleasant, although it was right near a footpath and the room had big windows, so it wasn't very private. The waitress was lovely and was a great caterer, but she did seem quite stressed, perhaps because it was a busy night. The food took a while to come but it was delicious. There was a lot of flavour in every bite. However, it might be best not to come with kids, as the food options were not very kid friendly (raw meat). For starters, I had the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, which was delicious, and my first taste of raw beef. As for the main, I had the Fraser Valley Turkey. It was a bit dry but still very tasty and filling. As for the dessert, I ordered the Eggnog Cheesecake, which was tasty but very rich. Besides the cost of everything, this was a very memorable Christmas dinner.

Wagyu carpaccio and salad were actually quite good.Mains were pretty disappointing. Although the protein was cooked nicely, the sugars in the cherry reduction for the duck was burnt, pretty much ruining the dish; accompanying spaetzle was bland.Short rib was dry and overdone, had a distinct scent.Sablefish was very nice and buttery, great portion size as well.Found everything a little underseasoned overall in my taste.Would come here for just a beer and the view if I had an hour to burn, but I’ll favour somewhere else for dinner.
