Vancouver Burlesque Co.: what do users think?
Kelly Shih: Lola was a WONDERFUL instructor!! We had a private group session with her pre-valentine in 2020 and it was one of the best experience I have ever had!! I DO NOT and CANNOT dance, but Lola used humor, tips and tricks to help me. She is body positive, made me feel good about myself. I would 100% do this again with Lola!
Valeria Stephens (Panda): Consistent dedication to updating their routines and training to be covid safe, this airy, well ventilated studio takes great pains to stick to gentle exercises you can do masked, and natural (that's the window!) ventilation as well as offering a zoom alternative for every class. As the pandemic grinds on, it's nice to see a business that has adapted to the new normal.
Habeebah Williams: Such a fun, safe space for all :)
Elly Bronsro: My bridal party arranged an class here with a bunch of my girlfriends. Had so much fun. Lola was super sweet and BODY POSSITIVE!! Highly recommend!!

Fox Cabaret: what do users think?
Logan Wicks: I haven't danced this hard since I saw the demon barber of fleet street
Jonathan Harris: I came here for 2 nights of a metal festival and was pleasantly surprised at how good the sound quality was for the small space. Cosy venue with limited seating, friendly staff, and quick service at the bar. Definitely worth checking out if there's a show coming up that catches your eye!
Kao Lew: Went here for a metal fest. The stools were a little uncomfortable, but you're meant to be rocking out. Staff was nice and parking was easy to find.
Robert Piddocke: Good place to catch a show. Acoustics are ok.
Shaida Joukar: always fun vibes and great energy!
METALHEAVEN CANADA: The venue itself is small. The stage area is great and so is the service but compared to Toronto or New York venues, it is small, very small.
Shade Henderson: Great vibe, perfect small venue!
Mitchell “MaravillosO” Undurraga: Great local spot for drinks and dancing. Staff is exceptional and welcoming.
Danyel M: Great place to watch live music and home to a phenomenal team! Ciji was great in helping arrange event details for the projection room.
Manizha A: Came here for the first time for a friends birthday party. Our bartender upstairs was very nice and friendly, and good service downstairs as well. The place got pretty packed after 10pm. Good choice of music and overall had a great time. The SkyTrain station was about a 15 minute walk back.
Nicholas: Great vibes
bee keepness: We attended the impov there and we had a great time. Service was great, show was funny. Will definitely be checking out more shows.
Comedy In Kitsap: Great venue, staff, and drinks!
April Petry: We're visiting from Edmonton and stumbled on a show playing at Fox Cabaret (Wares who turned out to be from Edmonton and we will definitely go see preform back home), Kamikaze Nurse and Soyjoy. The venue was so cool and the bar/cocktails were great, I would highly recommend for live music! My only wish was for more chairs and tables to have a seat for a bit!
Tim Swanson: It was a blast! Went for 4 for 4 and Shimbashi Station was rocking!
Christa Siminiuk: I went dancing with some friends here last weekend and we had an awesome experience! The door staff were friendly and welcoming. The music was great and the water station was a cool perk! I will be back :)
Stephanie Sun: This is the worst place to go
Maxwell Chan: they cut someone's set 15 minutes early even though we paid to see her. they weren't even behind schedule. they just wanted to bring their dj in early at 1030
Natasha Lynne: Great little place! Good for live music and drinks!
Lauren Tremblay: We bought tickets to see Wallice and Jawny. Wallice was on for about five songs before they cut her off with fifteen minutes left. Completely unprofessional and disappointing to the artists and the people who bought tickets.
Jayana Devathasan: Great music. Shout out to Tom!

Iana Khoudak: A fantastical non-for-profit society teaching the art of Burlesque.

Studio 58 - Theatre and School (Langara College): what do users think?
Richard Dopson: A Fabulous Performance of Rocky Horror...evoking fond memories of the mid-80's
Tracy Barkman: An amazing performance!
Kelly Krpan: Wonderful shows put in here. I love this place.
harshita arora: Small but great
John Cook: Great school! Great shows!
Manuel Neumayer: It was a bit hard to find on the university campus - definetly aks staff for help! The plays were really great.
Isidro Rodriguez: Loved how actors played different genders, not only male actors playing female like it had always been since the Greek tragedies to after Shakespeare, but also female actors playing male roles. Amazing!
Anthony: As much for me I'm a "fanboy" who has a big appetite for science-fiction/fantasy/horror, the plays in Studio 58 is very authentic and more drama driven which I find them very interesting.I did took a look at two shows I attended which was Oklahoma and 42nd Street which were musicals and I found them very impressive. Each show they did is different with a different tone and a different setting. Studio 58 give audiences a unique perspective from great aspiring actors sharing their own style and identity while approaching the great plays written by great literature masters. Some of Studio 58's works went out of their comfort zones and took risks which I didn't see them coming.Unfortunately, (not to discourage or not to put down) some of the plays they did are not my "cup of tea," but I understand and respect its own audiences and their taste of work. I love the productions and how classy the costumes and sets are made.*One suggestion to make is I would like Studio 58 to try do some plays that are more child-like/family-oriented, clean humorous, or adventure type of stories for audiences to be more engage with.
Kyle: Phenomenal cast. Wonderful rendition. It's boldness may cause tremors in the halls of the woefully conservative mind.

Numbers Cabaret: what do users think?
Chloe Schrammel: Absolutely amazing great crew and so much fun!
Влада И.: Это мой любимый клуб😭 там всегда такая дружелюбная атмосфера
jessie sol: This was a fun bar with a great dance floor. $10 cover charge was a bit off putting.
Jaclyn Smith: Saw a drag show here, it was a lot of fun!
Mike K: Reading these reviews makes me want to visit this venue in my coming June 2023 short visit
Mantas Juknevicius: Genuinely entertaining and fun!
jada Lyle: I went to numbers cabaret and got all my cash taken out of my wallet by the lady working at coat check. I confided in her as well as payed to have my belongings put away for me but she violated my privacy. I confronted her and a bouncer and they told me they would call the cops on me. They did not even care to help basically told me to F off. Don’t support this club.
Abby Nicole: Fairly down to earth as the clubs in this area go!
Elijah Fast: A beloved gay institution on the Davie Strip! 3 levels of bars, dancing & drag shows. Love this place!!
Jon Bragado: Disappointing.
Pedro González: I like the music they play, the drinks are affordable, and the environment feels safe and inclusive. Have been there just to party and to attend drag shows and it's been great every time.
Lo Ve: The levelled layout, rainbow lightshow, and mirrored disco dancefloor are super cool—but it's the people at numbers that've kept me coming back. This place attracts such warm clientele, especially on Karaoke Sundays with the fabulous Lola Lovegood! The cheering crowd that Numbers fosters makes every well-intentioned voice feel welcomed. This was the first place I felt comfortable to come out and sing karaoke:As you enter, Val greets you with a smile as wide as he is tall, keeping the place safe and ensuring everyone is of age. As the first face of numbers, he sets such a friendly tone of accommodation. Then walk up to Lola on the DJ balcony with her harmonic helpers. Scribe her your song, and get ready to sing! She's there to support you bravely wielding the mic. And, of course, Lola herself will SLAY through the night to keep energies abuzz. Now that you've got your name on the roster, shimmy to the bar for a sip of liquid courage! Loti will be on the lookout for you, happy to serve whatever's on tap, including free water (not all places offer this) and genuinely good vibes! Come enough, and be delighted by how Loti remembers just what you like.Amongst everything, you'll see Vince kindly floating from door duty, to bartending, to gathering empty glasses for cleaning before your next drink. He sure helps keep the place comfy! Those are just some of the wonderful people at Numbers as of this writing, and really, there's more they do than in this review—but hey, your song's about to come on... get to the dancefloor! Mingle!! Have fun!!!
Aaron Molnar: The bar tender was nice, but seemed new. Had to look up how to make the drinks on their own menu. Music was good, no dj, so just a playlist I guess. This place has all gender bathrooms witch is such a crock. The straight guys were literally following the women straight up into the stalls. I had to complain to the bouncer because my girlfriends kept saying that these weird guys were creeping up on them. Where can women be safe if not in the bathroom? Get rid of that!
Don Verburgt: Numbers is the best place to hangout there staff is amazing always smiling great music amazing bartenders door men and women and they treat everyone with great respect I always look forward to seeing everyone there I highly recommend this place
rain stranger: I have been coming to numbers for 27 years and have seen many fantastic staff come and go. It's the the people that make a place great and the current staff are exceptional, respectful and friendly. They really make numbers a fun place to go. And of course I will continue to go there meeting up with friends on any night turns into the best time. A big thank-you to all the staff.
Beck Rose: Fantastic staff and atmosphere. I live on Vancouver Island and will 100% make the trip just to come here again.
Kyle Brown: Amazing patio for afternoon Sun. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Drinks were decent priced.
Liam Hall: Definitely the best place in the city. Thank you guys for being so awesome ❤️
Sakeeb Abdullah Azad Akter: I was waiting for a very short time but the bouncer Kiana she was super nice while. We waited
Eugene Sh: Terrible place. I have no words to describe
Kaelan: Loud as hell but just as fun. Super welcoming club / bar experience. Great if you want to dance and meet new people. :)

The Wise: what do users think?
Mark Stockbrocks: Welcoming to wheelchairs and very considerate people by the people. Must support real community 🏆👨‍ Photos to come 🌀
Aleem Allidina: Amazing venue and great team members workin here. Adam, the gentleman at the front door is a true pro and was very welcoming. Alexis who was doing lights and sound nailed her tasks as well. Thanks team!!
Regis Denefle: The upstairs showroom is nice and spacious, with great sound. A great sound engineer makes a concert experience so much better!
Vishal: Nice venue for live music. But they only accept cash :/
Corey Brown: One of Vancouvers best venues.
D R: Our band booked the Wise Hall back in September 2022 for a live music event to be held in May 2023; which our band was producing to raise money for a local arts group. Despite numerous emails confirming the booking, we got suspicious when the woman in charge never sent us the invoice to pay the deposit. Then when we finally arranged a time to do a site visit in February 2023 she never showed up and later emailed us that their "mandate had changed" and they were cancelling our booking. Now we are left scrambling to find another venue and have to advise the other band we had scheduled to share the night with that the gig is off. And an Arts group has lost its fundraiser. Unbelievable.
Jeremy White: Great venue, great staff and atmosphere
Paavali Henki: Very well kept establishment.
Doom eastvan: Say hi to Big Steve the door man!
Adam Conboy: I really enjoyed this venue. Has an oriental vibe, bar was fair priced too. Unfortunate your in a residential area so had to be quite outside the venue. Had a great night all the same, definitely recommend seeing live music here!
Jimmy Wong: PRESSURE COOKER!!! What a great night with the Brass Camel! Excellent venue and friendly staff. Not too crowded considering the show was sold out. Speaking of which, get your tickets early online if available!
Aaron Michielsen: Fantastic venue and wonderful staff. I have worked in bars for over 30 years and these people are incredible.
Mark Mark Mark: I love this venue. Reminds me of an old school venue when they put on good punk shows to mosh to.
Anders Staaf: Beginning to be one of my favorite places for concerts! Comfortable size and affordable shows and drinks. Can't go wrong!
Friday Racket: my home away from home. ilu so much 3
Brian Fryatt: Excellent venue & a good time by all.
Shana -: Cute venue, nice staff
Kirk Chantraine: Really great small venue for shows in East Van.
Mia Thegreat: In one room alone, 5 chandeliers plus a disco ball
Ira Sentesy: Phone spot to watch a show
Apex Doxer: Small venue but that's what it's for. Great booze selection

Yuk Yuk's Comedy Club Vancouver: what do users think?
Mehran B.: Tough to find! But lots of good laughs
Derek K: What’s up with the annoying buzzing noises, takes away from the show. Time for an upgrade? Otherwise a good night for some laughs. Will return once the Reno’s are done.
Negin Armani: Great show, sub par venue. It was a sold out show and we arrived 15 minutes before the show started, so we were seated towards the back near the bar. The overhead lights at the bar were very bright and the buzzing noises were super distracting and took away from our enjoyment of the show. The ice machine was running and also making loud noises the entire show. Not just noticeable in our area, people towards the front were turning their heads to see where all the noise was coming from. It also didn't help that the mic volume was super low. We mentioned it to the server and she was aware, but said there wasn't anything she could do. The service was friendly and attentive, food menu was pretty limited (chicken wings and chicken tenders) but they had a surprisingly decent variety at the bar and the prices weren't too bad ($42 for 3x beer and 2x cocktails)I just wish the overall atmosphere was better at this venue to support the various shows it hosts. I won't be quick to come back.
Bruce Voss: Nice little comedy club downtown. Friendly service and homey feel. Nice peeps! Nice young crowd. Good selection of teas - if you’re into that kind of thing!
John Debest: Good to see Yuk Yuks back and comics working again. I have always loved stand up comedy since the 70s , whether at the Queen Elizabeth theater or in Vegas. This venue is seriously flawed as it closely resembles a cafeteria, with kitchen staff and waiters talking at the bar and kitchen. Totally oblivious to the comic trying to get through their material. A table of loud drunks were allowed to further wreck the show- No staff to give them the yellow card. You must block off the kitchen and bar from the seats with sound deadening partitions, the theater area should be dark, quiet and separated from all distractions. We will be back again but I'm hoping that there are some improvements to the layout.PS: The site is a great choice and hopefully the race track crowd along with the casino gamblers take in a comedy show. Should be a Win, Win, Win for the different entertainment options. JD.
Orkhan Suleymanov: Awesome experience at their first show in the new Vancouver location after Covid. The entrance is from the racecourse side of the building. There is also free parking there.
