Connie Ono: This place never ceases to amaze me! A family fun place where everyone can stroll through at their leisure and watching a palette of aquatic creatures showing off their fins and colors! I just can't get enough of those jelly fishes! (One of my favorite animals!)My husband and I also went to a 4D theatre showing about Sharks! Super fun and educational! The "fish cone" was a brilliant idea if you are into their ice cream at the cafe. Also a HIGHLY recommendation for first time visitors and frequent travellers. There's always something new.Just do me a favor... Pre-buy your tickets and come early if you want to avoid the crowd.

Barbara Leao: I came to Vancouver from Quebec only for a whale watching tour to watch orcas. I am an animal lover, and I was pretty excited about visiting the aquarium because it says it is the largest one in Canada. Well, I have been to Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto and the Quebec City Aquarium, and I have to say both are better than the one in Vancouver. It is not bad, but the penguins have been transferred to Alberta, and aside from the others, seals, and sea lions, it is very common. It is the most expensive of all three if you do no plan ahead. If you are an animal lover like me, give it a shot. Otherwise, just walk around Stanley Park for free.

Yohana Villamizar Rojas: It was a spectacular day. We were able to see in the aquarium all marine animals, or not, from around the world.
Vishwadeep O.P: Over hyped. It's nice but not awesome. The place does not have a specific route to see the fishes. No penguins, they were moved as they were endangered. It would be nice if they let us know before we bought the tickets. They have reptiles and a sloth too just to fill the gap. $48 a ticket . Not worth it.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
AKILENTERPRISES AKIL: Wow 👍👍👍👍
Ponda Baba: It had been a while since I had been. What can I say? What an incredible facility we have. Amazing array of creatures. Fantastic layout for viewing. Lots of activities going on throughout the day to see, be it 4D movie, tarantula show, feeding time, etc. My fav is always trying to find the sloth in the rainforest area. BUT now they have a sloth for viewing in the normal area and you can see him up close and personal and it was very active when I went. Super cute wet nose!!! Top notch facilities all around.

It has lots of interesting interactive installations as well as some cool gallery. Throughout the day, there are different science shows.Spending half day here is easy and you and your kids can learn a lot.
Dustin Garvey: Awesome!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …More
michael gray: Was expecting more, I've been to better science center.
kurtis Hartwell: Always a fun visit to science world. My kid loves all the activities and talked about it all the way there telling us what we were going to do. Very busy as we were there on a long weekend. Bring your own food if you are there during peak time waited 30mins for whitespot. Skin exibit was neat and seemed small compaired to other exibits in the past.
Christopher G: An absolute must see if you are in Vancouver! Great time for both the kids and the adults with something for everyone to see. Located right on the ocean, there are plenty of places to have a nice picnic when visiting or take a walk on the sea wall. Accessible by transit. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It can be a little expensive to visit so keep this in mind when doing so.
Connie Ono: This was my first visit and I'd have to say it's not what I expected. I was looking forward to their Reptile World Exhibit where you can "feel" the skin of the various cold blooded animals but was disappointed, since most of them were interpretations to the real thing... It felt like the Telus Science Centre in Calgary but with more space and things to interact, but in all honesty, this is more for the younger generations to explore and build a love for science. As for parking, I HIGHLY recommend going early to get a parking spot, especially if it is near the science centre because the space is really crowded that if you are driving one of those big Ford trucks, you wouldn't be able to park if it's jammed packed to begin with. Otherwise, it is best to take a subway or sky train, or the aquabus to get here. And yes, purchasing a ticket in advance is always best to avoid waiting in line.
Pietro Biondo: Il museo è sicuramente ben fatto. Lo consiglio per famiglie con bambini. Agli adulti potrebbe risultare un po' troppo bambinesco per i miei gusti.
Barbara Leao: It is wonderful for kids because there are lots of fun games that can teach them science, but not as much for adults. I thought it was more a museum type of thing, but I was mistaken. I think it is an amazing place to go if you have children between six and 12. They will enjoy it for sure. Vancouver Art Gallery: what do users think?
Alicja Siejka: Youth below 18 enters for free 😌Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
Clyde Lee Lee: Rotating exhibits. Staff are friendly including the gift shop staff.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …More
Julie Erin: I was rather a little shocked by the entrance price. Typically, an adult pays over $30 to spend a day here. The first Friday of every month is free, but the line is ridiculously long (literally snakes around the entire block), so thought it would be better to pay the full price for one afternoon. The only redeeming qualities would be the building itself and the giftshop.First floor had an exhibit of Canadian artist, Boyle, which I personally find many of her pieces to be rather on the creepy side, yet to each their own. The adjacent rooms had more modern art (basically paintings of lines and blobs). Again, not my thing, yet I was hoping that there'd be some classic art on the other levels. The next level (the only one that was opened) had a lookout to observe some fashion design students assembling outfits while the showrooms featured the biography of an Indigenous woman, which contained mostly of children's drawings in crayon...and newspaper clippings along with letters of correspondence! How is that art?! That exhibit was rather interesting but belonged in a community centre to promote public awareness rather than an "art" gallery.I've also read a few of the other Google reviews, and it seems that most of the levels have been closed forever because of renovations. I find that to be rather bogus. While I strongly support temporary exhibitions since it's nice to shake things up, there should be some permanent ones as well. Since Vancouver seems to be a rather modern city, perhaps some avant-garde classic pieces: Girl with a Pearl Earring, The Kiss, Magritte, Picasso, The Scream, Van Gogh...Basically, it was such a disappointing experience. Was done within an hour, and that included a pee break along with checking out a few of the showrooms twice to see if anything had been missed.

Manisha S: The Vancouver art gallery was a very strange place with a lot of strange "art". The exhibits at the time were nothing exceptional... Some geometric art just made in large canvas, which any of can do. Then another strange and creepy exhibit including sculptures of a headless person... Nothing inspiring or thought provoking or beautiful.. felt like a waste of my time and money. The tour guide was good and informative.. but then again the topic was very boring.
Behdad Best: This is supposed to be the prime artistic center for Vacouver yet totally disappointing. I'd say just close it, always good not to do things rather than doing it this way.
luke morrison: It's not totally bogus man..... says ted
Shatakshi Saxena: Only floors 1 and 3 are open. They are currently doing some construction. Overall, it is an OK museum but not worth it. The entrance is overpriced at $30/adult, especially when part of the museum is closed due to construction.I enjoyed the indigenous representation on the third floor, but I think they could have better conveyed the information. For instance, they could have provided summaries at every decade. Instead, it felt like all the information was just jumbled. The "art" on the first floor was not worth paying for. A lot of the "art" was just basic lines. There were some paintings and sculptures that were cool!
sekureh: No idea why they're selling tickets, maybe for charity🙄Nothing worth seeing.
Cristiano Nogueira: CAD 29 per person for a 30 minute`s worth of art. the 1st floor had Shary Boyle, excellent stuff albeit just a dozen works, but the other 5 wings had nothing worth while: 2 were under setup for a future exhibit. 1 had very bad op-art (like the left-overs of another real art museum) and the 3rd floor had 2 wings on with newspaper cutouts and old-timey interviews with lord knows who. ticket staff wouldnt give a partial refund, claiming I should have known the 2nd floor would be closed. I was expecting a whole afternoon experience and was done after 40mins. 10mins were spent trying to find the exit on the 3rd floor! IMHO a just price for this very short experience should be no more than CAD 9.
Ben S: Smaller than most, but great exhibits and staff.

Lonsdale Quay Market: what do users think?
Yanzhe Shao: I recently had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at Craffles, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience! One dish that stood out and left a lasting impression on my taste buds was their Benedict Egg. It was simply phenomenal! The Benedict Egg at Craffles is a true masterpiece. The perfectly poached egg rested upon a bed of fluffy Waffe, accompanied by a generous serving of savory ham and topped with a velvety hollandaise sauce. Every component was flawlessly executed, resulting in a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. The presentation was also top-notch, with the dish elegantly arranged and garnished with a sprinkle of fresh herbs. It was evident that the chef took great care and attention to detail in preparing this culinary delight.Note: This review is based on my personal experience and reflects my honest opinion.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden: what do users think?
Camilia Rodriguez: I’ve come twice with family that are visiting and both times it’s been closed for a private event. Both times the garden’s have been marked as Open on Google, and yet I’ve called in advance to make sure that they are open which they confirmed they were and then I get here and BAM closed for a private event. This is really frustrating.
Barbara Leao: I was looking for things to do in Vancouver, and while in China Town, I stepped into this garden. It is paid, and I suggest you follow the guide because otherwise it is just another ordinary Chinese garden (and there is a public one for free right beside it). The guide was not Chinese but very knowledgeable of the garden and China history.

Antonius A. Tjong: After our business trip in Vancouver Canada, we took a private leave for a more few days stay. Avoiding the hustle and bustle outside there of the downtown, we came to [Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Chinese Gardens] and [Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Park], a Chinese-style classical courtyard and a beautiful classical Chinese Garden, which are adjacent 2-in-1 as both extension and complement to each other. This complex is located on a street cornering block between Carrall Street paralled with Columbia Street, in China Town, British Columbia, Vancouver, which place is said to be where Dr. Sun Yat-sen once lived in when visited Vancouver. The exquisite and elegant layout and exhibition of the museum-like interior can really make us feel the strong Chinese atmosphere, show the exquisite and long-lasting Chinese culture, and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the interior. People who like to buy some souvenirs can also buy some commemorative items here. We can taste the Chinese tea specially prepared for visitors, snacks or light food. The gazebo, huts in the garden, water plants, flowers and trees as well, and the fishes, turtles, ducks, wild geese swimming in the pond, forming a classical and beautiful natural picture in our sights. And in about two hours long, we ended our visit to these [Dr. Sun Yat-sen Classical Chinese Garden] and [Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Park]. Walking out of the park and looking across the Columbia Street, there is an vacant square that is to be a lively scene in the afternoon and night a moment later soon. (130523/x)
Andy Yang: Poorly maintained garden with spider webs, chipped walls, rocky pavements, dirty pond, no fish. Nothing to see here.. Very small and not wheelchair accessible to the paid area. Everything is broken apart….. Seriously! What a waste of money. You are better off go visit any botanical gardens than here. It’s also at a bad part of the city…. what a waste of time.
Anthony Tran: It's a nice and calm place to visit, good to learn more about the culture but for me I find it boring.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
Genevieve Marchand: Seulement le parc était ouvert mais très joli. Il vaut une petite visite
Thomas Robson: Always lovely in any season.Open and welcoming.O3/24/22 Masks not required.
Eric Carlson: The overall complex is quite nice. The paid portion of the experience is small and unnecessary. Go through the courtyard past the paid entrance and walk into the public section. It offers more and is FREE.Reservation recommended No …More
sergio rodriguez: Nada nuevo pequeño y mal organizado
Larry Ross: Unique cultural site with thorough explanation of underlying considerations. Go at your own pace. Surrounding area requires being alert.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
raico liu: The park shows typical East China Yangzi River Garden style. Classic, Tiny and poetic. It is very rare opportunity to see this kind of garden in North America.
Rocio: Muy bonito y cuidado lugar, mostrando diferentes plantas típicas de China, muy buena experiencia!

Fairmont Pacific Rim: what do users think?
Hossein s: We went to the Botanist with friends. The food was excellent. Especially the lamb was delicious and fresh.Obviously this place is fine dining with its special prices. The food quality was indeed at the level of its pricing. My only issue with the food is, and this very subjective, the presentation was over crowded.
Tim C.: A bit of a background, I have a very long history with Fairmont PacRim ever since I discovered it back in 2012. I have made many return visits several times a year and basically obtained Accor Diamond status just from Fairmont stays alone.A lot has happened since my last negative review of this place. It was in the transition to a new management team and new staff on the gold floor. I am happy to say that all of my issues with my previous bad experience have been rectified, and it is now once again among the finest properties I've had the opportunity to stay at. (Even compared with some of the most exclusive European boutiques!)Jasmine and her entire Fairmont Gold staff have everything dialed in. They remember our preferences, and try their best to make each of our visit special from extremely generous upgrades to little things like setting up desserts in our room. Although a lot of familiar faces have left to pursue new ventures, I am really liking Jasmine and her team. Her attention to every detail is what makes our visits so wonderful, and I am looking forward to enjoying many more stays at this world class property.
Vincent Silver: Above and beyond the usual strengths from the Fairmont brand (prime locations/ luxury amenities), this particular Fairmont delivers on an experience that is second to none. The service is tirelessly outstanding and consistent from the doormen, front desk, bellhop, dining, bike attendant, valet to the concierge. The foyer has a bustling vibe but it’s so well staffed. Dining is busy as well so I appreciated how eager staff are to accommodate. The established work culture at this location is so rare to witness these days (it’s why I’m writing this review). I booked with my Amex this time and received more perks than when I booked directly with Fairmont in the past. Regardless, with or without the perks, this hotel offers incredible value; Canadian hospitality at its finest.
Sam Wong: Location is amazing. Room is not styling but very well settled in details. Room amenities are upscale. The harbor view is stunning. Food and service in the restaurant are fabulous and impeccable. However, the service from Front Office staff is not up to par which ruined the whole experience of our arrival AGAIN in two months. Last time we booked the partial harbor view room, but we got a room on the very lower floor with buildings and swimming pool view in March. Today we check in at 5pm, we were informed that the room is not ready. We booked through AMEX ( been called “the 3rd party” from Front Office) which is entitled noon check-in if available. But considering it is long weekend we chose to check-in late in order to get the room instantly while checking in. We were shocked while the FO staff informed us that the room was not ready at that moment. After a chat with the Front Office Manager, we immediately got a clean room which is exactly our room type. We were even more upset with the experience, so we were wondering why we could not get the room which is already been cleaned and ready to check-in. Instead, the Front Office wanted us to wait since room is available. We have stayed with Fairmont for years with Accor member. While we were trying to let the front office hook up our reservation to the guest profile, they told us they could not do it, and kept saying that as the system been changed, there’s no guest data been kept in their new system, except for Accor member. Front Office Manager was shocked when we let her know that we do have the membership.I am not sure what exactly the reason why they did not provide us the ready room while checking-in. I did not know the excuse that why they refuse to look for the guest profile.I just feel like we are not welcomed to stay at Pacific Rim.Maybe I should book through other channels instead of through “the 3rd party” like American Express.Sure thing is for our next staycation, we definitely won’t stay with Fairmont Pacific Rim
Nader El-Ramly: Stay at the Pan Pacific downtown due to some unexpected renovation nightmare. Turned it into a tourist in my own city vacation. Staff were amazing, great rooms and beautiful views! The location is perfect.Walkability: Great walkability. Close to lots of attractions downtown Vancouver within 15 to 20 minutes walk.
Stefanie Wills: I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff, food, location and value are all wonderful. My bed was so comfy. My room was on the 19 floor and I had a very small room but it amazing view of the harbor and mountains. My only gripe was that because of the automatic curtains they do not go long enough and the bright light woke me up every morning at 6 am and the seaplanes outside make a lot of noise. I hoped to have a soaking bath but the large bathroom and shower made up for sit. Other than that, it was perfect!

Shailesh Dalmia: Disgusting check in. Long queue. Each check in taking about 15 mins per guest! I mean wow! In todays age n time when it usually takes in about few mins. Were Centurion Card members and had put in an early request for check in at 12 noon but they allotted room only at 3.15. Waited for more than 3 hours. We kept on checking with the check in desk at regular intervals and they said that the room was being cleaned. This continued on for about 1.30 hours. We guessed that they had taken a “vow” not to allocate the room before 3.Anyways we waited. No choice. At 3pm, still room not alloted. Thats the time we decided to meet the Guest Relations manager. I just asked her that such a big hotel, couldnt they accomodate a single room early. The Guest relations manager replied with a curt no. I would have expected her to be a bit apologetic but her behaviour was rude. She said were just 15 mins late and looked as if its a big deal! Then she asks me what can she do? Im not the kind of client who looks for favours. Not me! Would have appreciated a simple sorry and a body language being sorry about it. But this was: WoW! She was not bothered. This is really sad. It seems just business for her.Ive stayed earlier at the hotel and would hold it as one of my most favourite stays.Really disgusting this time. Not staying next time for sure.
