Artie The man: These people are literally the best. I went away for more than a month leaving my cat child in their care. I received daily updates via WhatsApp while vacationing on another continent. I was constantly informed of her well being and questioned when they noticed odd behavior (which was normal for my feline). They checked, they asked and I got daily videos and updates. It made me be able to relax on my vacation without having to worry. I absolutely would recommend the services Purrfect cat boarding offers to anyone needing cat sitting. I felt like she was safe and cared for just as I would have done if I was with her at home. I definitely will be using their services again in the future and gladly will refer my friends to them. World Traveler: Had my two cats stayed there for about 3 weeks and it was great. We got updates every few days. It was a relief to know that they were well taken care of in a safe place. The facility was clean and staff was friendly, all of them were obviously cat lovers and cared for the cat there. Would go back again.
Steven: Picked up our intact male cat after 5 days of boarding with open facial wounds, while we was apparently not eating, to find him out in the playroom with about 5 other cats. Very stupid indeed! Keep in mind that purrfect's own policy states that they keep intact males separate. Purrfect did not inform us of any facial wounds, and did not inform us that he had not eaten for 2 days, until it was at the point that the cat was borderline emaciated. Until then, daily updates said that the cat was doing amazing. Purrfect did not even monitor the cat enough to notice his wounds, we were the only ones to notice when we retrieved the cat.The wounds are claw/teeth marks around/on the nose, where there are no scent glands. Yet, purrfect boarding claims it's a result of rubbing, when they were not monitoring close enough to even notice the wounds themselves. Yikes!We were delighted at first glance, but would not ever bring our cat back. Complete failure.

Stephen Hand: We were disappointed to find most of Vancouver's cat boarding options involve a small and cramped steel kennel that looks more like a jail.We have used Purrfect Cat Boarding twice in the last year. We are very happy and unquestionably trusting of our cat in their care. Purrfect Cat Boarding offers each cat a large cat condo that include platforms at different heights, cubbyholes, and ramps. Each cat has it's own litter box, and feeding / water dish. Condos can include a window view if available. Cats are allowed to explore the larger area outside of their condo, in small numbers with tons of fun cat trees, and soothing music and sounds playing throughout. It really is a cat oasis here.I cannot recommend this place enough if you are traveling or looking for a temporary place to entrust your cat for care. You are provided updates and photos of your cat and they are very responsive to your questions and concerns.The second time we gave our cat Loki to Purrfect Cat Boarding, we left for 2 weeks. Although we missed him, not once were we concerned about his well-being or level of care. Please consider supporting this business with the care of your fur-baby.
Emma Cartwright: My cat stayed there for 5 nights and I could not have asked for a better experience. The facility was clean and each cat suite is spacious enough for the cat's to explore with the comfort of it being their own space. While away, I received picture updates and she would answer my questions. She was also very in tune with each cat's behavior and allowed them to leave their designated space to explore the open area when they were comfortable enough to do so. I would recommend this cat boarding place to anyone.

Reid Buckmaster: Clean, quiet facility, with lots of comfortable-looking cats enjoying their stay. We left our cat with Purrfect Cat Boarding for a short trip and received text message updates about her stay, along with pictures. Our cat was nervous when we dropped her off, but was happy and relaxed when we came to pick her up, an absolute testament to her comfortable stay. Will be using PCB again in the future!

Even thou he is shy making him feel comfortable shows how much love you guys pour into it!The facilities look clean, and super fun for cats and humans! Being the first time we were worried about our cat being lonely as he is very close to my son, they sleep together since Mitzli is a little kitten, but all worries were gone, we received daily updates with pictures of what our cat was up to!I would highly recommend Purrfect Cat Boarding, I could really feel that Sharon truly cares for the animals and wants to see humans and cats alike having a great experience at her place. 5 Stars for sure!
Marilyn Mortimer-Lamb: Our cat Louis recently had his first three night stay here and we could not have been more comfortable leaving him at this extremely well-run and fastidiously clean ‘home away from home’. Sharon is incredibly efficient, caring, and responsible and has thought of every detail to make the experience for both the cats and their owners a most pleasant one. She thoughtfully responded to my communications quickly, even though she must be constantly inundated with e-mails, etc., while also looking after her guests. Louis will return! Cooper Sills: My wife and I traveled to South America recently for about 19 days, and one of my biggest concern was leaving our two cats behind.I found Purrfect Cat Boarding after some googling, and we went with them for boarding. Sharon and I talked extensively about my concerns about our cats, and the care they required (one of our cats has stress issues that often lead to urinary tract issues).The place was clean and laid out thoughtfully, exactly as it looked in the photos. We were able to let out cats out of their carriers to explore the place (or pick their favourite hiding spot) while we talked with Sharon and introduced her, she confirmed then that we had WhatsApp available to receive updates.Throughout the trip Sharon updated us with photos and how they were doing -- she was cautious and respectful of their space in order to reduce stress and let them gain confidence and trust in her. It made travelling easier knowing that someone who obviously cares about cats was looking after ours, and that she was willing to update us frequently with photos and videos on the trip so we didn't miss them too much.We picked them both up healthy and happy (at least when they got home) cats, who seemingly had no issues.We would definitely choose to board our cats here again if we needed to.

Lois schneeberg: I let my six month old cat Billy with Holli at The Scratching Post. I was a very anxious mommy but I didn't need to be. Holli took excellent care of Billy. She posted pictures on Facebook and I was able to see how much fun he was having and I was able to relax and enjoy my first visit to the USA in two years. I am so grateful I found Holli and didn't leave Billy in the house with day visits. He bonded with other cats and had the time of his life!!! Alana Thompson: Holli cared for our 13-year-old diabetic cat, Piper, while we were out of the country for two weeks. He requires a controlled diet and insulin injections twice a day, and besides that he's an older dude and a bit anxious. I was so relieved to find The Scratching Post, where Holli had just the right touch in communicating with Piper. She was able to put him at ease, attend to his medical needs, and she gave him special attention while we were away. He had a private room with a bed, toys, cat videos on the TV, and a window to sit at, and Holli sent me updates and video of him during his stay. When we picked him up he seemed very relaxed and at-home. Although he was happy to see us, I think he would also have been happy to stay with Holli! I can enthusiastically recommend the The Scratching Post to anyone needing to board a cat with special needs.

The staff were delightful to deal with and it was apparent that they genuinely love, understand and care for cats. We enjoyed our vacation knowing our dear cat was in good hands. Holli, Holly and Amanda were very attentive and professional and handled her with care and attention, making sure that she was given lots of love and play time. We especially enjoyed the daily postings of photos and videos.We strongly recommend the Scratching Post Hotel and would have no hesitation placing Kitty in their care again.

Cherlyn Cortes-Manderson: Holli and The Scratching Post Cat Hotel took such excellent care of our very elderly cat. The room was clean, tidy, with tons of natural light, and so comfortable for our cat with lots of places for her to explore and soft beds/furniture to relax in. Our cat was immediately happy with her temporary home while we were out of town, and we were very much at ease knowing our cat was in experienced hands. Holli was always easy to communicate with and it was very clear from our experience that she really does love and give proper attention for the cats in her care. I would recommend Holli and this company to all my friends and loved ones with kitties.

Tianpei Chen: Highly recommend the scratching post cat hotel! Our cat Fred has stayed with them twice when we were away for travel and holidays. They definitely are doing a great job and know well about cats. They also uploads videos and photos every day so you can see how your cats doing. Really appreciate how thoughtful and caring Holli is. We will always come back if needed. The only complaint is that they are so popular so you have to book as early as possible to secure a spot😹. They took such a nice photos of cats!
Suzanne Buckley: Love love love this place. My cats stayed there for the first time over winter break and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Seeing the pictures of them on Facebook and Instagram put my kids minds at ease that they were well cared for. Great communication by the people there for getting everything organized to drop off etc. My cats were much more calm when they got some afterwards as well. Usually they’re twitchy and unsettled for a few days after boarding other places but here they came home and settled right away. We will definitely be back!
Amanda Westenberg: Not a good first impression for me.I had to shuffle around the website to try and figure out how to book, which led me to create an entire profile for my cat with uploading her vaccination records, so after spending time getting those from the vet taking a fair portion of my day from my studies, in the end it was all for nothing.My cats vaccinations are valid for three years but in the vaccination section the AI automatically put that the vaccinations were expired because of the date they were administered to her - it then left this section as pending review.The next issue was going through the reservation, the screen displayed different payment options, one being pay by cash and if doing so a deposit would not need to be paid, and instead to contact someone that this is the payment option you would like to do, however no email was provided in this section to actually get in contact with someone.Not knowing what to do as no email is provided here I sent a message to your facebook page (although on your end you said it was instagram but I am literally messaging them through my facebook messenger app so Im not sure how it could be instagram).Here I messaged that I had submitted a booking request and that I would like to pay by cash. 24 hours pass and I receive an email saying my booking request has timed out due to not submitting a deposit... I finally hear back from someone over messenger and they say to just contact a woman named Holli, so I go searching through the website and finally find a phone number and get a hold of someone.To my luck, the spots have all been booked within the time that I had been waiting for the booking request to be approved.I was then told I should have received an email shortly after first submitting initial booking request which I never did (yes I did check my spam after being told this, and there was nothing there).This looks like a great place to keep you cats and I was so excited for my little girl to have some play time with other cats but I am pretty disappointed I missed out due to technical errors and what I feel like was just an overall confusing experience.Not sure where to bring my cat now for out holidays - I guess she misses out due to technical issues and lack of communication.I also don't recommend telling people that "most find this website easy to use", I use computers every day for school and did not find the process easy.And what may be easy for one person doesn't mean it will automatically be easy for another, and in all fairness to me, the important emails which probably would have prevented this I did not receive, so thats not on me.This review is not towards the quality of your business, but towards the technical aspects of the booking process.

Kathy Marsden: Scratching Post Cat Hotel is absolutely wonderful!My two cats have stayed there three times, and I could not have been happier with the experience that they had. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. There are innumerable amazing and challenging cat toys for them to play with. As well as video screens with birds for them to try to catch, real birds out the window for them to watch, cat trees, and secret hiding places everywhere. Holli and Holly play with the cats a lot, with dangling things and laser toys. The cats all seem to get along well; I have never seen them fighting, except in play.Videos and photos are posted every day, so you can see what your cats are up to.The prices are very reasonable, with a much lower price for two cats from the same family sharing one kitty condo.There’s an additional discount for long-term stays. Everything is very clean and well-kept.I highly recommend this place, and to get to it from Vancouver is not very far. Well worth the drive!

I really appreciated text message updates as my boys were settling in, and I loved the daily photo/video albums on Facebook! Holli, Karina and Holly truly care about all of their guests, and spoil them with lots of attention, cuddles and playtime. My shy cat is way more confident at home since his visit, which has been nice to see. We will be back for sure!

Mina Kwoczynska: My shy rescue dog boarded with Jet Pet for the weekend and had a great time! Usually she is hesitant with rowdier dogs, but Jet Pet had her stay and play in the Den with the chill dogs and she had a wonderful time!! Prices are extremely reasonable and they provide crazy dog mom’s (like me) photos and verbal check-ins daily. Overall, I am very happy with the care provided by Jet Pet and I will definitely be using their boarding services again when I go out of town! Thanks Jet Pet :-)

Julia Ferguson: Tom smelled really bad when I picked him up. After 2 days he still smells. He smells like rot and urine. Even after a wet wipe bath he still stinks!
inosensia setiono: In the first two years I went there ( around 2018?) there were no complaints. However, after the pandemic things seems to change. Everytime I board my dogs, they get home skinny. My GSD who in the beginning have no trouble is now considered aggressive by them and they wont take her back. I told them that she got bitten by a dog in April 2021 and need to be introduced slowly in the beginning as to not overcrowd her; however, I was told that they do not have time for that nor are they a trainer. If they were just a little bit more patient with my GSD, she would have been fine. When dogs overcrowd her she would tell them to back off, but somehow they dont intervene when other dogs wont stop being too much and then my dog had to step up. When I asked them to watch her, they also said they are watching other dogs and cant watch her all the time( which I understand, but shouldnt they be in the area at all time?) My dog never bite or show aggression in any way, she would be vocal to tell others to back off; this is a sign that they should have intervene if needed. If in the beginning my dog wasnt a fit, then they would have rejected me right away during trial but they welcomed her. The last experience I had with them was just truly traumatising. Im not sure who I talked to but I believe she wasnt even from the olympic location but was there because of short staffed. Being told my dog is aggressive caused me so much worry that i didnt bring her to a different daycare for a long time as I believed them. Until recently, i brought her to a new daycare and I told them that shes anxious sometimes and need slow introduction; mind you the new daycare basically watch over many dogs (over 30), and somehow they took the time to introduce her to others. They have the ability to make sure my dogs have a great time. She has 0 aggression behaviour despite other dogs getting close to her and had a lot of fun. Additionally, Jet pet would need to fix their smell system because my dogs would always end up leaving like urine. After hearing more negative feedback from other people, I would never bring them back here. I hope you guys would stop attacking bad reviews and actually do some improvements. The only person I would like to thank from this facility is Neill, whos always patient with me, make great accommodations when needed and give me good feedbacks.EDIT:After talking to the new manager, he has said that he has improved the urine smell concern. My review is ONLY based on the previous management. I wish Eric nothing but the best! I hope that you can make this facility to the best that you can.EDIT 2: I gave jetpet another try , Eric was nice. The rest of management was an absolute disgrace to dogcare company.

Amy Damjanovic: My husband and I have sent our 1.5 year-old Siberian husky to JetPet overnight a few times now, and we couldn’t be happier with them. The care our boy gets is exceptional, and we know he gets lots and lots of playtime and exercise because when we pick him up he’s so exhausted he sleeps for a whole day. 😆 I’d definitely recommend this place.
Brenna Ricci: They have taken great care of my bichon frise both at daycare and for overnight stays. I would not recommend their bath and brush or nail clipping service for longer haired dogs, however. Especially the curlier more difficult purebreds like bichons. My boy came back practically unbrushed and matted in areas. I will have to redo the bath and brush and clip his nails as they were unable to.April 4, 2023 update. Sarah Third: Jet Pet has been absolutely wonderful any time I've needed to head out for some last minute emergency travel. Their prices are very reasonable, and their staff are positively wonderful. They're also incredibly accommodating, and have worked around Vet appointments and medications in order to ensure my pet had a happy stay.It's clear that they spend a lot of time caring for these dogs, and really go above and beyond in their care. I was worried about boarding my anxious dog, but with Jet Pet I know she'll be well taken care of.
negar leilnahari: Unprofessional, inexperienced and dishonest, the staffed lacks the proper training , the facility is inadequate and the proper procedures aren’t set in place. Our beautiful Royal cat was severely injured under their watch and the reason and the cause of the incident was never confirmed. When asked for surveillance video , we were told there are non. We were pressured to have our pet removed and I’m glad we did since I’m sure the care given to our or other precious pets are short of anything the owner are expecting with the price attached to the service. All and all, with all the hospital bills, vet bills, medication bills , anxiety and stress their lack of proper care has caused our family -they initially refused to refund our remainder and wanted to credit the $$$. Ultimately your pets aren’t cared for through the night, we are so unhappy and would not recommend this location to anyone that has a pet they care for and love.Edit review after the posted response:This is response shows and embodies the lack of unprofessionalism that I mentioned on my initial review. When Hannah was brought to care she had minor illness which she needed antibiotics drops to be put on her paws. She has no 2cm cut on her elbow that later required 4 stitches to close. Over all the messages and text we sent 100% supported for our pet to be taken to the vet however amount of times and we Will compensate for it. However after the initial time that Eric was kind enough to take Hannah to the vet the Later times when we asked we got the response of “ we have an small team and I can’t have my staff take Hannah to the vet” , “ is best when she leaves and be in a home environment “. when initially due to improper care this incident had taken place in the first place. So please refrain from using this tone as it is not appropriate nor appreciated all while we cut our trip short just to come back and care for our beloved cat.

Tay Cun: I was a little worried at first leaving puppy while on vacation but after his first orientation and seeing how great the staff were ans how big the facility was I knew i made the right choice with Jet Pet. Puppy didnt even say goodbye when we dropped him off. The price of boarding is affordable and puppy seems happier than ever. I highly recommend and I will definitely be bringing Baby Beagle back soon.
Daph Ordas: I occasionally drop my dog here for daycare. He always is excited to go! The staff are always friendly and treat him very well. Even though it has a strong dog smell inside, they wipe him down with some wipes after his stay which is nice.

Donna Ordas: I highly recommend jetpet! We've done daycare, overnight stays, and grooming here - all which we are always happy with!The staff have been absolutely phenomenal. It is clear they go above and beyond to create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere! They are extremely accommodating and my dog is always SO happy when he is there. I am able to view him through their live pet cameras, and they are very active on Instagram as well. My dog loves doing their fast and furious activity which does cost extra, but why not pay a little more just to make your fur baby happy :)I am extremely happy with their services, they treat both my dog and I so well!
Jena Lohrbach: Jasper has always loved his doggy daycare experiences at Jet Pet Resort Olympic Village; we don’t live in the city, but when we come to stay a couple days, we always schedule him at least one day at Jet Pet. When we decided to take an actual vacation, we knew whose care we’d be most comfortable leaving him in, and the place he’d have the most fun (and possibly be so busy playing that he wouldn’t even miss us).If we ever again find ourselves leaving on a trip we can’t bring Jasper along on, we will certainly be booking him another stay at Jet Pet Resort Olympic Village.
Jenn Nevin: We have been taking our dog here for daycare about 9 months now, ever since she was old enough vaccination wise (about three months). She has an absolute blast and is always rushing in when we arrive. The employees are kind to her and give some good feedback on how the day went and what dogs she played with. We’ve also boarded her here for 4 days (x2) and got frequent updates by text/email/Instagram posts. Have never had any major injuries - had one small cut from play that they notified us ASAP by text and cleaned it up well. She loves the Fast and Furious extra play time as well! Gives the pups some bonus one on one time - we used these during boarding. Can’t say enough positive things about JetPet Olympic Village!!

Hannah Hume: My dog is always excited to go to Jet Pet. This time around, she was not as smelly as she used to be coming back so that's great! She was incredibly thirsty when we returned, however, which made me nervous that she wasn't given enough water. I do notice on the cameras there is only one water bowl put out for many dogs to share. They might benefit from having more bowls?

This was the first time for us doing dog-boarding with our adopted dog and the staff were fantastic to deal with - we did an initial meet and greet to make sure there was a good fit (which gave us some extra comfort), and they had plenty of patience answering all of our questions. Our dog came home like he had a great time playing and socializing with new friends. We also liked that they group together the size of dogs for playtime (as we have a large dog). Highly recommend.

The service providers are very knowledgeable and informative with great communication. Julia Oulton: We started taking Tucker to Jet Pet when he was a puppy. (4years ago) He learned his social skills here because they put puppies all together and they teach each other what acceptable behavior looks like. Tucker loves to come to Jet Pet and he has many friends he visits each time he shows up. I recommend Jet Pet to all my Canine Gardian friends. The only thing I wish is they have an on-site person for overnight stays. They used to have that.
Yan Geng: We had a really bad experience with Jet Pet before Christmas. Definitely not recommend to my friends any more. As my whole family travelled out of town for more than one week, my dog would need to stay 9 nights with Jet pet and paid half of payment before dropped off my dog there. No one reminded me their operation hours and I replied their message our drop off time at 1 pm on the drop off day. No one ether replied my message or called me before they closed door. I was supposed to be reminded as your client and also I already paid the full payment, which meant we would drop off our dog surely. The manager, Kurtis, replied my message in the other day without even one sorry word. Really bad customer service behaviour.The message from the manager Kurtis: our hours of operation are readily available on Google and our website. Jack did not respond to your message and no one confirmed you could come after 8 pm. I understand you are upset but we did not let you down. Our hours haven’t changed in years- Kurtis, Manager.So no matter who and where texted me message to know what time I would drop off my dog, so they would not check the message again to know the customer’s drop off time??? So what’s point they texted me to ask my time.Secondly, their system automatically charged my another half payment without any notice and invoice. I noticed that when I checked my account they already charged another half.Thirdly, when my friend contacted them and was told that they couldn’t do refund only credits back to my file. However I looked up the reviews on google. They could do full refund for another customer. Totally liar. Do they treat customers differently?The last but the most important is when I took my dog home, he was very scared during the night time and always shake when he was alone. I was surprised when I was told by the manager that they don’t have anyone stay at store over night with all pets. What if something happens, I can’t imagine how they would control the emergency situation. And all my friends felt the same surprise when I told them that Jet Pet had no one stayed in the store over night.Definitely not recommend Jet Pet to anyone.
Leslie Lai: DO NOT SEND YOUR PETS HERE! THEY WILL COME BACK INJURED AND TRAUMATIZED.My cat was boarded at Jet Pet North Shore from Dec 18, 2022 to January 2, 2023. She came back traumatized and highly stressed, and had multiple wounds on her belly and back leg. My cat is a difficult cat that is highly anxious so I expected that she would be stressed but not wounded to this extent. I called multiple times, and while Jet Pet told me she was stressed in the beginning, she only sustained a minor tongue injury and was otherwise fine. I was told calls after that she was fine. When I picked her up I noticed a large wound on her belly, and upon calling Jet Pet they said they did not know. My cat had to be taken to the emergency as it was a raw wound where the skin was peeling. The emergency informed me that she actually has multiple wounds, including another one on her belly and one on her back leg. The vets I spoke to mentioned that they highly suspect that these injuries were not solely the result from stress and licking. This resulted in a $1200 medical bill. I understand that my cat is a difficult cat that does not allow for close contact but Jet Pet clearly does not care enough to check on the cats periodically nor inform the owners that their pet is struggling and injured. Even if my cat has injured herself, there is a high level of negligence from Jet Pet's part for not noticing and addressing this. Wounds like this should NOT have been missed and could have been identified much earlier
Gurinder Chauhan: Dropped my Chihuahua off her for 2 night 3 day stay while my husband and I went away for our anniversary.They were unable to get my dog to eat for more than 36 hours! We decided to cut our trip short after the manager told us it was probably best if he was in this kind of mood.When we arrived and I picked him up, he had to go to the bathroom immediately as if he wasn't taken out there. I got him home, and he ate right away (I was super happy).However, he wasn't behaving the same as he normally does. My dog was traumatized. I'm not sure what went down while we weren't there, but I suspect it wasn't pleasant. My poor baby was scared to be touched and was shaking for days after.I did contact Jet Pet. However, they failed to contact me after saying multiple times they would.Thanks to them our dog was in stress for days after we picked him up, we had to cut our anniversary short (lost money for the hotel and activities we had booked) and never got a refund for the days he didn't stay with them.I would definitely not leave my fur baby at this resort ever again.
Katherine Cornelius: Had to find some care for a long weekend quick and Jet Pet was so accommodating. They were able to work with me to figure out the best plan for our dog Phil and let him come for a few hours to visit, and get used to the environment before he stays there.Jack and the rest of the staff were so kind on the phone, and in person. I got a tour of the facility and am grateful they had room over the holidays to take our little guy.Phil is excited to be staying over, and I am very satisfied with the service we received already.

The exterior outdoor yard and the interior have been upgrade over the past months with no disruptions to care or service. Best of all my dog lives the staff and is so happy to arrive and be greeted by her human friends. When I pick her up she is happy and tired. The staff are faithful to take pictures throughout the day so you can get a ‘sense’ of the day. My pup is camera shy, a diva and photogenic…but they try! Thanks so much Kurtis and team!Jane S.

They were very accommodating and had a price structure that works very well the longer a pet needs to stay. I had them watch my cat Snow for over a month, and she is in perfect condition. Since then, I've attempted to book a viewing and meet & greet. I finally got a response to a viewing, only to be asked to change it 2 days later due to a double booking. I let them know I'm unavailable at the alternative time and have not heard back again.Update: They had left a reply (that I no longer see) about a week after my original post, saying they would contact me. Still have not heard from them.
