West End Rink: what do users think?
Majker Alex Majkrak
Majker Alex Majkrak: Worst rink for stick and puck sessions in Vancouver. Not sure why city moved Saturday’s stick and puck from best rink around, Hilcrest, to this arena. No parking available, unless you willing to pay 9$. Rink is half of the size, pretty bad for any kind of hockey. Ice quality? Dont let me start about that. Horrible. Disappointment for me. Waste of time to go there
lorenzo nannini
lorenzo nannini: Very nice and affordable. The staff is very kind and ready to help you if you need anything.
María Inés Parnisari
María Inés Parnisari: The rink is a bit small, and it's expensive to skate ($7). They don't have a section for hockey during public skate.
Amber Song
Amber Song: Google said that the skating rink was open but the staff said that it closed after the end of March. Please update the website on Google so others don't get misled about this because it took us a lot of time to get there when we could have gone somewhere else a lot quicker. Please fix this problem for the convenience of others.
Ibrahim Shehata
Ibrahim Shehata: The ice rink is really good, I just wish they open all year long instead of just the winter (they will close the ice by end of March)
Dave J J
Dave J J: The ice rink is run by the City of Vancouver. They are not checking anyone that is entering for Covid vaccinations. Th facilities there are absolutely dilapidated and embarrassing for a city facility. However ice rink times aren't easy to obtain so we keep going (15+ yrs). Come on city planners improve this facility, changerooms, washrooms, seating.
Sebastian Isaza
Sebastian Isaza: A bit hard to ice skate ⛸ but the price is fairly decent. (Under 10 dollars)
L Chen
L Chen: Ice is poor and chopped up. Same drink with no benched. Attendant was late opening up the rink.
Celery Celery
Celery Celery: Good rink
Yunduz Rakhmangulova
Yunduz Rakhmangulova: Good quality skating rink, not busy.
Alexander Tumanov
Alexander Tumanov: Skating and skating lessons are the best part of my wintertime sport live. Skating coaches a super funny and helpful. I really recommend to sign up for few courses and improve or just have fund in learning new moves. I have only positive emotion when thinking about next skating on the rink. Great place, great people.

Beatriz Vasconcellos de Barros
Beatriz Vasconcellos de Barros: I loved this place! Skate rentals are just 5 dollars and you can stay as much as you want. I recommend going on weekdays as soon as it opens as it’s not too crowded yet.
Grace
Grace: Wonderful outdoor skating rink! It only costs $5 to rent a pair of ice skates, and it’s super fun. There are lockers available to store your stuff for 25 cents, so make sure to bring change. Even on a weekday, there were a decent amount of people, so I imagine it must be way more busy on the weekends.
Terence Li
Terence Li: This is a very good place to visit
수완
수완: It was so nice to skate in 🇨🇦‼️ The ice condition was quite good. There is a place to rent skates. The size of the ice rink was quite wide and nice. If I can visit this area again, I would like to visit here again!

A G
A G: All systems, GO!
Christina Fong
Christina Fong: This little covered free outdoor public ice rink at Robson Square in the middle of downtown Vancouver is great for kids & learning skaters to try or practice ice skating in winter when there's ice. There are more than enough plastic skating support frames for the beginners to push around & concrete bench seating on one side for spectators. The ice was resurfaced only once while we there there for about 2h, so it's not the smoothest of rinks out there, but I believe the rougher surface is one of the benefits for beginning skaters providing then with some grip. There's a convenient economical skate rental with several staff offering really decent lace up hard boot skates with an adjoining small cafe for drinks & light snacks. Being so small, there isn't tons of space if it's crowded, but we went on a Tues evening so it wasn't too bad. Our group on the ice ranged from 4 to 40 & the kids had so much fun, they have told me we must return! Get your skates & get out there.
Mark Philip Magtibay
Mark Philip Magtibay: Free if you bring your own skates, $5.00 to rent at downtowns only outdoor covered winter skating rink.

Moj Noroozi
Moj Noroozi: Comparing to Robson ice rink , this one is way much bigger and less crowded. Shoes rental fee is 11$ (more expensive than Robson’s).it’s an indoor rink so you have the option going to this rink from September till end of March. Free parking available

Tee Haynes
Tee Haynes: Great sheet of ice and facility. Good place to play hockey. Nice rooms. Was the figure skating training facility for the games
Demetrius Schwab
Demetrius Schwab: Ice sheet was good. Disappointing in that they have published hours online but the community centre can change them and you have to call in order to find out the real times.
B Chu
B Chu: Nice looking facility but from a spectator’s perspective, not great trying to watch a hockey game from the seating area. Your view is obstructed by all the glass stanchions. Not wheelchair friendly at all. Boards are too high for a person sitting in a wheelchair to see over the boards at ice level and no ramp to get up onto viewing area.
Daniella M
Daniella M: Skates aren't verry sharp at all
Jason Mcgarry

Laine Slater
Laine Slater: My daughter loves skating with the Grandview Skating Club. The coaches are fantastic, generous and kind. The lessons are structured, but the coaches make sure the kids are having fun too. The 1 hour CANSKATE program is wonderful and the kids progress happily. The more advanced STARSkate program is very unique in that advanced skaters with a range of goals are all welcomed and treated fairly. From those who want to pursue the competitive track to those who enjoy skating an progressing through the levels without competing, Grandview makes sure to work with each skater to achieve their goals. In other words, Grandview Skating Club rocks!

kurtis Hartwell
kurtis Hartwell: Always a fun visit to science world. My kid loves all the activities and talked about it all the way there telling us what we were going to do. Very busy as we were there on a long weekend. Bring your own food if you are there during peak time waited 30mins for whitespot. Skin exibit was neat and seemed small compaired to other exibits in the past.
Christopher G
Christopher G: An absolute must see if you are in Vancouver! Great time for both the kids and the adults with something for everyone to see. Located right on the ocean, there are plenty of places to have a nice picnic when visiting or take a walk on the sea wall. Accessible by transit. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It can be a little expensive to visit so keep this in mind when doing so.
Connie Ono
Connie Ono: This was my first visit and I'd have to say it's not what I expected. I was looking forward to their Reptile World Exhibit where you can "feel" the skin of the various cold blooded animals but was disappointed, since most of them were interpretations to the real thing... It felt like the Telus Science Centre in Calgary but with more space and things to interact, but in all honesty, this is more for the younger generations to explore and build a love for science. As for parking, I HIGHLY recommend going early to get a parking spot, especially if it is near the science centre because the space is really crowded that if you are driving one of those big Ford trucks, you wouldn't be able to park if it's jammed packed to begin with. Otherwise, it is best to take a subway or sky train, or the aquabus to get here. And yes, purchasing a ticket in advance is always best to avoid waiting in line.
Pietro Biondo
Pietro Biondo: Il museo è sicuramente ben fatto. Lo consiglio per famiglie con bambini. Agli adulti potrebbe risultare un po' troppo bambinesco per i miei gusti.
Barbara Leao
Barbara Leao: It is wonderful for kids because there are lots of fun games that can teach them science, but not as much for adults. I thought it was more a museum type of thing, but I was mistaken. I think it is an amazing place to go if you have children between six and 12. They will enjoy it for sure. Cameron C.
Cameron C.: Been playing ASHL here for a while 5+ years.Parking is plentiful but extremely busy on weekends.6 ice rinks for ice hockey.Rink #1 is the best quality and best maintained. It's also the rink the Canucks players use to practice. Other 5 rinks are decently maintained. It's not the greatest ice in the lower mainland but it does its job.One figure skating rink which is also used for public skating and one futsal arena. Skate sharpening inside this facility but open only on certain days and times.Upstairs is a bar and restaurant that provides food services. There is also seating so you can view the rinks from the upstairs.----Directions or locations for help: Where is what rink? When entering the rink. RINK #1-4 is on the right side. Jamie Larsen
Jamie Larsen: Great wings and beer (IPA). Service was fantastic - sorry, I can’t remember her name. I got turned around - it’s a big place - ran into a manager named Derek - he was very helpful and took the time to walk with me to where I needed to go. Very friendly and helpful! This place just has a great atmosphere - highly recommend! I’ll be back.
Mohammad Jazayeri
Mohammad Jazayeri: Horrible customer service, too cold soccer field and too expensive
Jamie Togher
Jamie Togher: Great little spot to catch up with friends while watching some games.
Carrie Ronnie
Carrie Ronnie: We go here to watch my husband play hockey. Thr upstairs has lots of seating room to enjoy the view from above and not freeze! They have a bar on one end and a food/more drinks on the other. I'd say it's overpriced for the amount of food. Sometimes, they give larger portions, but lately, it seems pretty sparse. I would expect more than 15 French fries on my plate for the $.
Anson Li
Anson Li: 6 rinks for hockey, 1 for public skate, and 1 indoor soccer. Outdoor parking area sectioned off to make it safer. Pub like restaurant upstairs. Skate shop open.
Anna Sky Dancer

295: Theres a manager named terrah she is very rude to the security guards, keep on complaining to the supervisors about small things. I was having food from the catering where the servers told me that i can have it for which i didnt even asked about in the first place. so first day she complained it to my supervisor that i was having food in the lunch area and then the other day she snatched the food from me when i was taking it on my break and told me that i can take only when theres leftover. After that i never went back to that catering floor, i really felt embarrassed. I am never coming back here again to work. She just complained about me for the food.
Chloe MacDonald-Chow
Chloe MacDonald-Chow: Went to a concert. The staff were great there were no incidents and the expectations were set before we entered the building. They did a fantastic job of hosting this concert.
Dee Lo
Dee Lo: Great ice-rink
yai vongsaphay
yai vongsaphay: We came here for Jackson Wang concert. The venue is spacious, plenty of parking . It was nice that they had separate entry for floor and reserved seating. It made entering and exiting run smoothly.
Hana Taylor
Hana Taylor: Pretty decent stadium. They have a water fountain. Had to discard our umbrellas which in Vancouver is kinda troublesome.
nicola mcmanus
nicola mcmanus: Facilities are lacking, not enough kisoks & menu is limited.
Sharon Tanner
Sharon Tanner: Great venue, but the seats are small and no leg room if you're tall. Felt like a sardine
Keith Scott
Keith Scott: Saw the Lewis Capaldi concert here and was super happy with the seats, unobstructed views from all seats and the size of the venue means that even if you’re at the back you’re still close to the action. Have been to other smaller stadiums like this and found the audio to have a heavy echo, it was only very light here. The space on the concourses is quite open for a packed house, the concession lines are easily identifiable and move fairly fast considering the amount of people. Limited food and drink selections but to be expected for a venue of this size. My only recommendation is GET THERE EARLY, parking is extremely limited and you really want to be on level 1 or level 2 of the parking garage or you can plan to sit for a while. Once you’re out traffic management is handled very well. Oh! I forgot to mention all of the staff were courteous and helpful as well.
Janessa Irene
Janessa Irene: We went to see Lewis Capaldi in concert here and the sound system was great. The queuing outside for floor seating took some time but the venue itself was decent. The only issue we had was had we not been on the floor, seeing the concert would have been a little tricky.Leaving the venue after the concert was an experience. Due to surge pricing, Uber prices quadrupled, the line for the bus was ridiculously long and the parking lot was great if you have your own vehicle. Overall a good venue though!
Kush (wacybaccy)
Kush (wacybaccy): Good stadium, needs better exits for big events.
Blake McRitchie
Blake McRitchie: Terrible bar service setups for a full capacity concert event. Whoever is in charge of running the bars and staffing should give their head a shake.
Katherine Lauriente
Katherine Lauriente: I have gone to this sports medicine clinic for two reasons. In the past I've been to see their excellent physiotherapy staff and today I had my knee drained and cortisone put in. Totally professional experience, clean, fast, they were happy to explain exactly what they were doing and I felt completely confident when I was there, that I was getting the best possible care.
David Laing
David Laing: Wide concourse, your pick of fantastic seats at center ice, decent concession prices.
Kristine Cavey
Kristine Cavey: Saw Jim Gaffigan here.Pros: staff were great. Friendly, patient, helpful. Concession had the usual offerings. Great view of the stage and screens. Floors were not sticky, which is so common in stadiums.Neutral: I didn’t get chance to check out the washrooms. There was a mix up and people were in our seats. The staff do not help with this. I had to call out these people myself.Cons: Only one way in. On a cold and rainy day, standing outside in a HUGE line up was not fun. Getting in and out in a car is horrendous. Took at least 30 min extra to get into the parkade and another 45 min to get out (parked on the very top floor). For that reason, we’ve decided not to attend any big events here anymore (sadly).
Oti Hiltz
Oti Hiltz: We went to see Jim Gaffigan last night- Jan 15th- at this venue. The entry into the stadium was ok but there was only two ways to get to our seats in the floor. This caused significant delays as we had to circle around the whole building to get to our seats. The show was excellent- so funny and great timely material from JG- but the crowd “control” after the show ruined it. We had to wait 15minutes to squeeze off the floor through the same doors that were servicing the entire upper tiers of the stadium. Once in the atrium of the stadium there was only one way out- all other exits blocked off needlessly- so we circled back in a literal crush of people to the main doors. Not a safe situation and it took us over 30 minutes to move 100 meters to the doors. The worst and most dangerous crowd control I have seen in North America
Paul Gallant
Paul Gallant: This is the worst venue I have ever attended for any event. Access to the floor has ONE entrance, parking is a nightmare. I will never attend here again for anything
Brodie May
Brodie May: Venue is nothing special but nothing to compalim about its am arena, however the privaye security are increbly rude, instantly clearing the building after the event, asked multiple times to leave while waiting for family in the bathroom
Qays Omeria
Qays Omeria: Went to this Spot in October or November of 2022. Chris Rock Did a show here and killed it!! The venue was dope! And it was easy to get back to DT. They had pictures of all the famous comedians on the screen 📺 before the show had started.. & I had lots of fun 🤩… If there is a game or show here, then buy a ticket 🎟️. You will have a GREAT time! … And if your wondering 💭. Yes he did some jokes on “Will Smith” lol 😝
Kurt Pachal
Kurt Pachal: Best hockey rink ice and locker rooms. I rate one less star because of pay parking.

Keith Kong: We were told maximum of 60 people with the drop in adult section for basketball, there were more than 80 people when we walked in, we paid $20 for the entry, and didnt even get to shoot at all(waited for an hour and a half by the way), so we decided to leave, since there were only 20minutes left until they closed, we spoke to the staff about our concern, but they were very unhelpful, we were told that nothing they can do. every single court was full with people playing full court or half court games. Absolutely no control of the capacity, wasted $20 for 3 of us, and didnt even get to play. They should really enforce the capacity if they stated 60 people maximum on the their registration site .
Ada Huang
Ada Huang: Horrible service. The front desk staff “Arnie “ refused to help us to book a session even if we are members. She told us to learn to do it by ourselves. Even, this is her job.And yes, we did use the mobile app to book sessions before. But this time, given the fact that we are out of network data usage for the rest of the month. We asked for help to book the session. She said that is our problem. We did get our session booked at the end, but the entire process made us really uncomfortable.
Gary Lu
Gary Lu: Good facilities, but if you are coming for the indoor track like I did today, don't bother. The track is totally blocked by the mats for rock climbing and other stuff.
Cecilia Gatchalian
Cecilia Gatchalian: Hands down, best gym in Richmond/Vancouver area. Super spacious, good ventilation, friendly staff and modern equipment. Lots of parking too!
Dexter
Dexter: My friends and I dropped-in recently to play Basketball and it was such a bad experience. The experience went downhill as soon as registration started. I honestly don't understand why you require everyone to create an account even if it is just for drop-in. Maybe understandable if guests are from BC but two people from our group were not even based in BC and I doubt they'll be dropping-in again anytime soon since they don't live here. ~15 minutes wasted because other people were also asked to do the same and the line was quite long. I don't blame the staff for this, clearly an admin decision that doesn't benefit anyone. After wasting ~15 minutes on the registration process we proceeded to the Basketball courts (main purpose of our visit). The courts were pretty packed despite their sign-up page saying only ~50 people were registered for drop-in. That evidently wasn't true, there were at least 70 people using the courts, but that wasn't a big deal. Just odd that they created a process for drop-in sign-up but won't enforce it.The main reason for my review rating; the courts were VERY slippery. Literally everyone from my group complained about this, "it's like playing on ice". Playing on the Basketball courts is an avoidable injury waiting to happen. If it's too much to ask your staff to clean/mop the courts every few hours then at least leave a mop on each court with some cleaning solution. We would've been more than happy to mop the court ourselves for the sake of avoiding an injury and a better experience playing. Also, another thing wrong with the basketball court we were playing on; the ring/hoop was slightly slanted.I understand why you charge $20 for adult drop-ins, but more often than not a person dropping-in isn't looking to avail of all your facilities. With $20 we expected well maintained courts and our expectations were sorely disappointed. The gym is quite nice albeit a bit crowded. Lots of other activities to do in the Oval too. However, Basketball and gym are the main things I considered when looking at the facility.
Meredith Papatsie
Meredith Papatsie: The sign up process is difficult to navigate. The guest pass system is not stream lined either. For such a huge facility it’s hard to believe they rely on such incomplete and lazy systems. certainly makes the user experience difficult and dissuading. Also 20 dollars for a drop in class is insane especially for something like shooting hoops. Hoping for the oval to improve and give us our moneys worth.

SM SM
SM SM: Trying to talk to someone over the phone for booking courts in the past 4 months.....go some where else.. it takes them a week to get back to you...so you try email, one word sorry not available...what do you mean? No explanation. Worst place...customer service "zero"! If I can give no stars I would.
Matt Gul
Matt Gul: Amazing facility
XC Z
XC Z: The speed skating hall is a competition venue, not a citizen fitness venue, so it needs a completely different management model. For example, the Olympic competition venues do not need many external signages, and the Civic Stadium needs very obvious signages, but we can’t see any useful signs at the Richmond Olympic Oval, even on the current exterior During the construction period, there are no safety signs on the fence, any road and gate signs. This is an Olympic venue, not a gym in your basement. This is in dire need of improvement.
