With over 50 years of experience as an international model agent and owner of the very successful Charles Stuart Agency, and prior to this over 10 years in the fashion business.

It all began in 1967 on Carnaby Street in London, when Charles met at a photoshoot no other than Twiggy, the Super Models of the 60s. In the early 70s, he became a Fashion Buyer and then worked with a John Casablanca franchise.

1982 - Charles decided that it was time to open an agency of his own in Vancouver, BC, Canada and opened the ‘Charles Stuart Agency Ltd.” The modeling industry was booming in 1984 and Charles was able to develop a network of franchises throughout Western Canada.

1986 - the market for models in Japan, Taipei, and Korea was enormous and Charles formed ‘Japan Model Placement’ to place North American models who had dreams of making money in Asia.

1992 - Charles developed the very successful 4-day ‘Faces West Model and Talent Conference.’ Agents, scouts and managers from all over the world make Faces West an absolute must on their scouting schedules.

Late 90s - Charles discovered Carrie Ann Moss (Matrix movies) and Colbie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother television series).

1999 - Charles was elected President of the newly formed ‘North America Modeling Association’ (N.A.M.A.) with members across Canada and the U.S.A.

2006 - Charles discovered Supermodel Coco Rocha. Charles’ ability to keep pace with the ever-changing modeling and talent industries has gained him the respect and support from the world’s leading agencies.

2007-2012 - Charles Stuart continued with a strong focus on International and National placement, placing models in the North American, Asian, and European markets. Charles has successfully brokered 1000+ international contracts for locally based models and models from Western Canada.
