Vancouver International Children's Festival: what do users think?
Kelly Creelman: I enjoy how this festival animates Granville Island and spreads art over the Lower Mainland. Great for kids and kids at heart 3
Katharine Carol: Thank you for an amazing festival. It was wonderful to bring my children to watch live shows again we especially loved Won'Ma Africa. Looking forward to next year already as my youngest said..."when can we come again!"
Jacky Yenga: This is the place where magic is created!
Joanne Sammons: We had a wonderful time at the Children's Festival in May! We liked the hands-on craft opportunities, the music, the wandering performers and of course the performances. Nice way to spend the day as a family. The show was entertaining for the kids but as parents we also enjoyed it. It's turned into somewhat of a tradition and we plan to go back next year.
hematics mat: This comment is from a somewhat different perspective. The organisation is basically built on volunteers work entirely. There are about 10 paid employees and hundreds of volunteers from high schools and colleges. In the meanwhile these students are hardly respected. Some of them need to work for 2 weeks without a day off during the festival, and the job is mostly labour. The organisers don't even initiatively offer lunch breaks. I just feel there should be better ways of treating these kids as we were all students at some point of our lives and we know how difficult it was. Using the students eagerness of getting a reference letter to abuse their labour is very undignified.
Josh Kho: I went to the Children's Festival at Granville Island this summer (2016) and I thought it was quite well done. There were lots of activities to keep kids busy for hours spanning a large area on Granville Island. Parking areas were also made available outside of Granville Island since parking fills up there very quick. Great job.

BC Children's Hospital: what do users think?
Nadezda Egorova: Visited today after our family doctor recommendation. Great service, waiting was not uncomfortable because everyone was polite and helpful. Thank you for your amazing job.
Jordan: I didn't go in but I went orienteering fire campus and surrounding parts would go again I clocked 8km in 40 minutes pretty fire I love orienteering so much it's so fire
M C: The Triage nurses were a bit rude diagnosing a lots of children saying that they had the flue and to go home. The doctor I had last night was questing me on why I brought him in and minimizing my concerns. That was unprofessional. I would recommend RCH more!
Brittney H: Wonderful hospital
Rodnoel De Chavez: We are truly amazed to all the staff, the service, and great collaboration we experienced in BC Children's Hospital. To Pediatric Dental department, nurses, doctors ,surgeons all the staff thank you so much for proving us the high quality and efficient care services.
Adam Cai: Really friendly, all parents will be so worried their kid in the same time all the stuff are doing professional job. For the parking you have to pay for it, the emergency parking is only 4 hours so have to work out your time.
Roksana Darmofal: Friendly and professional staff. Sometimes you have to wait for hours, but it's worth it. Your kids are in good hands there.
Arigato Hae: Hi speechlessly amazing hospital,Thank you for raising me. I can't say enough thank you's.I decided to further learn business to pay you back in success.Consider 'tweak'ing your mission statement? (I sent a gmail)(It's 4 stars because of the meals.)Thanks, Arigato
anni: I’m so grateful of most of the drs and nurses. My 2 daughters were admitted at this hospital in December , staff were very kind and nice with me and my kids, thanks you so much for all your hard work 🌹
Davis Lim: At first the care and environment was great. After 10 months with my son at Nicu, the environment became toxic. There is a superiority complex a few doctors and nurses have and they have exaggerated and falsified information. They got MCFD INVOLVED AND NOW have taken away my right to see and advocate for my son and I have only seen him one hour this whole week and it is Friday now. I have no way to defend myself of the false accusations and wasted time in court Wednesday. And it will be a long road before I get to be a father to my son again. He is 11 months and 3 days old and has VACTERL and TRAF7. They want to force a treache on him even though he did well off his mask for 30 mins last month. Doctor and nurse was in the room at that time and video was taken. My mother was not permitted to visit my grandson just 2 days ago.Very unjust use of power and control I have experienced this last month. Hope there will be reform
Maria Huezo: *The worst doctor experience at Emergency side*.I took my baby to children’s because he was crying uncontrollably one evening. I thought it was Colic at first but he’s almost 5 months old and I assumed he was way passed that stage. He’s never ever cried like the way he did that day and obviously as a mother you worry for your little one. I took him to the hospital because I assumed that was the right thing to do. While we were waiting for a doctor he had about 2 or 3 more episodes of him crying uncontrollably like he was in pain and/or in discomfort. Doctor comes in, I can’t remember her name but she was an older Caucasian lady with glasses and very short grey hair. She was working on March.4th which was a Saturday in the evening. As she walks in, my boyfriend who is stressed and extremely worried explains to her about his cry and she interrupts him and says “well he is a baby and UNFORTUNATELY babies cry and there’s nothing you can do, have you fed him? Most of the time they just want to be held.. but yea unfortunately they Cry so welcome to parent hood” in the most rudest way possible, almost like she was being sarcastic.. and took the whole situation as a joke.I was very upset on the way she spoke to us, she made us feel like we were bad parents and that being there because of his “cry” was pointless.I’m not sure if she woke up on the wrong side of the bed and was having a bad day or if it had to do anything with our skin colour and/or because we were young but she did not take us seriously.Even though I’m a first time mom, we know OUR babies, we spend every day caring for them loving them and I’m proud to say I’m doing an amazing job. And if something doesn’t feel right you bet I’m taking my little one to the hospital and I expect help and/or solutions not someone to point out the obvious!!!I hope that this doctor is a little more compassionate and easy going with other new parents that need help because no parent wants to feel like a bad parent..!
Tu Le: I am extremely grateful for the exceptional service provided by the wonderful doctors, nurses, and volunteers at BC Children's Hospital. They went above and beyond to help my son remove a corn from his nose, making his stay at the hospital warm and memorable. I must especially mention Dr. Sarah Fetcher from the ER, who took the time to establish a connection with my 3-year-old son, Sora. She spent time greeting, chatting and colouring with him, which helped him build trust and follow her instructions eagerly. Dr. Sarah, you are truly outstanding! Thank you for your kindness, care, and compassion towards my son and our family. We are forever grateful to you and the entire team. Take care!
Hamed Adibi: It was very bad experience, tonight at 10:20 my son and I we entered in the emergency department and they asked us to wait after 80 minutes anybody didn’t come and do anythings. It was really sadly because when were leaving there, anybody didn’t ask us anything. Right know my son doesn’t feel good and try to sleep. If the feel worth we will call 911
Glenda Hawkins: We are incredibly appreciative of BC Children's and the superb care they gave to our daughter. We were given incredibly thorough, considerate, and compassionate attention. After being severely affected by RSV, our daughter required breathing assistance and an IV.The doctors and nurses are working nonstop to provide treatment for our children during this particularly challenging cold and flu season. We are so grateful to have access to such a magnificent and well-run institution. The team worked hard to make our daughter smile, feel heard, and protected during what might have been a very terrible event for her.
Tameka Davis: Both our sons have had experiences at this hospital. It is always a nervous experience whenever you have to bring your child to a hospital but the staff here are the most amazing, hard working, knowledgeable, caring people. The facilities are clean and child friendly with caregivers needs in mind. We feel very fortunate to have a place like this to care for our children.
Eden Chan: Went to the lab in children's hospital today for a blood draw for my 2 year old. It was amazing! It's walk in only and no booking , but when I was there ( Wed morning) it was no wait at all. We got to have the draw immediately. It was my toddler's first time having blood taken from his arm but there were 2 staff, one drawing the blood and one holding him, both were very supportive and super nice to my toddler. At the end there was no crying at all! Not a drop of tear was shed during the blood draw and he even got a little froggy toy.And when we were getting dressed back up and having some juice in the waiting room, the fun cart came by and my toddler got a colouring sheet and crayons too.I drove all the way from Maple ridge to here for the blood work because my doctor recommended ( they are better with kids) and it was totally worth it. It's especially important that no bad memories were created around lab work so he won't be scared in the future ☺️💝Thank you so much for your amazing work !
Zach N: People need to stop leaving negative reviews in the emergency waiting room. The entire healthcare system is struggling, and the difficult truth is that your child with a cough and fever was deemed to be lower priority. The nurses are amazing - extremely compassionate. The doctors are professional and kind. We are lucky to have access to this facility.
Training Video: Extremely bad emergency service.. my kid has been in pain for 2 hours and no one attend to him .. I walked out and see nurse playing on cell phone .. and doctors casually chatting .. I stood in front of a nurse and took her almost a full minute too realise I was standing right in front of her ..
Dialin Angus-Lincoln: Best nurses in the area 🤗
Strawberry Artz: I've always been very impressed with Children's Hospital and have always had the most professional care from conscientious, patient, and responsible doctors and nurses. But today, I was really disappointed when my daughter fell face down on her chin and land on her neck after a one and half front tuck .The coach immediately told me to take my daughter to the children's hospital. Because the position of the fall was very bad. We arrived at Children's Hospital at 6:30 and my sister could walk but felt pain from her upper back to her neck to her head.a littabout her condition and then we sat down and waited. The boys who came in at the same time or even three hours ago and fell without trauma were all assigned to rooms. My daughter was still sitting there, the only child who hadn't moved in the entire three and a half hours of the evening. She had neck pain and upper back pain, so I told the nurse, who gave her a collar. Then the wait continued. I went back to say my daughter had neck pain , Sitting for more than three hours made her more sore. Everyone went in but my daughter was still sitting there. The nurse said this is an emergency room and everyone comes in in a hurry. I totally agree, I have brought my kids or myself to the ER not only once or twice and I understand that the triage nurse will arrange for the patient to be treated according to their condition. But with a neck and back injury, there was room to arrange to lie flat, but nothing at all was done for three hours. This is completely unacceptable. After I told the nurse for the second time that my daughter's neck was hurting even more, she said if you feel pain there is a bed over there you can lie down if you want. That bed was always empty, but must the same thing be said three times before the child can lie flat? My daughter told the nurse the pain gets worse, but nurse just told her that you are fine. Even other nurse asked, she still said my daughter is fine and did nothing.
Charles Zhao: This is the best children's hospital in BC. The parking space is relatively tight and there is a charge for parking. The hospital is very large and extends in all directions. There are hospital volunteers at the door to help patients find where they are going. The doctors, medical staff, and volunteers here are very kind, especially Dr. Annie, who vaccinates the children, is highly skilled, serious and responsible, which is impressive.

Vancouver Puppet Theatre: what do users think?
Yulia Diachenko: Unfortunately my experience with Viktor was not as positive as I expected. Please make sure he followed your agreement regarding his performance before paying for his services. I invited him to perform for my daughters birthday in her daycare and he made some changes that I hadn't agree to. Viktor might be a talented performer, but I would never recommend his services because of his attitude to the clients.
sirine hawari: Victor performed a wonderful show for our little and big guests today. We enjoyed every bit of it. We all appreciated the details of his art and generosity in educating and interacting with the audience throughout his performance. We thank you for making our son's birthday an unforgettable one.
Roman Tymchenko: You do amazing stuff!
Alex Potemkin: Very talented performer and great performance. Keep even very little children's attention and make their really excited and happy. Maybe the best addition to a party.

Carousel Theatre for Young People: what do users think?
Ali: Not a safe place for children. Trying to encourage little kids to dress up as drag queens for summer camp? Come on. Let them play sports or do arts and crafts instead of grooming them.
Ma Lit: Very disappointed
K G: Neato
Rolland Miller: Enjoy liked enthusiastic .
Paul Matson: I've gone several years now, and the productions are always a delight. Pretty cool to see a lot of the same kids year after year too!
Shade Rockstars: My daughter is looking forward to her Drama classes!!!
Stephanie Woods: The shows they put on here for kids are wonderful. My daughter also takes classes and it is such an amazing program.
Katie Lee: Great performaces for little ones. I would highly reccommend it for preschool aged children. Shows are about 45 minutes to hour long which was the perfect length for my 4 year old.
Nicole G.: Grateful for the plays and entertainment that Carousel Theatre brings to Vancouver. My family attends all their productions, something new to look forward to each season. We prepare for the plays by immersing ourselves in the books to prepare and to get the most out of our theatre experience. My son also goes with his class, so sometimes he gets to attend the same show twice. He still enjoys it!
Angel Chan: The Charlie Brown Xmas Play was great. I feel it is more for adult than young kid.
V PAS: Great show - Charlie Brown Christmas.
Meghan Hill: My son adores attending their acting classes. The teachers are phenomenal and it is fun to have an hour to explore Granville Island every week while he attends.
g g: Good
Mark Freeman: Attended their summer show at Performance Works. Well worth going to see the what the students in the Teen Shakespeare Program can accomplish.
Alexandra Andrews: Nice little theatre space. Hard to find parking.
Judy Weng: Show is good for 3 years and under
Ramin Khoie: Great for theatre rehearsals.
Michelle Petrusevich: Great place for kids

Science World: what do users think?
michael gray: Was expecting more, I've been to better science center.
kurtis Hartwell: Always a fun visit to science world. My kid loves all the activities and talked about it all the way there telling us what we were going to do. Very busy as we were there on a long weekend. Bring your own food if you are there during peak time waited 30mins for whitespot. Skin exibit was neat and seemed small compaired to other exibits in the past.
Christopher G: An absolute must see if you are in Vancouver! Great time for both the kids and the adults with something for everyone to see. Located right on the ocean, there are plenty of places to have a nice picnic when visiting or take a walk on the sea wall. Accessible by transit. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It can be a little expensive to visit so keep this in mind when doing so.
Connie Ono: This was my first visit and I'd have to say it's not what I expected. I was looking forward to their Reptile World Exhibit where you can "feel" the skin of the various cold blooded animals but was disappointed, since most of them were interpretations to the real thing... It felt like the Telus Science Centre in Calgary but with more space and things to interact, but in all honesty, this is more for the younger generations to explore and build a love for science. As for parking, I HIGHLY recommend going early to get a parking spot, especially if it is near the science centre because the space is really crowded that if you are driving one of those big Ford trucks, you wouldn't be able to park if it's jammed packed to begin with. Otherwise, it is best to take a subway or sky train, or the aquabus to get here. And yes, purchasing a ticket in advance is always best to avoid waiting in line.
Pietro Biondo: Il museo è sicuramente ben fatto. Lo consiglio per famiglie con bambini. Agli adulti potrebbe risultare un po' troppo bambinesco per i miei gusti.
Barbara Leao: It is wonderful for kids because there are lots of fun games that can teach them science, but not as much for adults. I thought it was more a museum type of thing, but I was mistaken. I think it is an amazing place to go if you have children between six and 12. They will enjoy it for sure. Kids Market, Granville Island: what do users think?
Jody Hoard: Play areas and child toy stores as well as some appareal.
Nyrg Goudet: Esta bien el lugar ,hay para comer, jugar ,baños 60% limpios
Rachel Gray: Great place for the kids
Robby Romero: Beautiful
Roberto Hernández Spencer: Muy bien, me gustó
James Waters: Eh. It's a hyper-focused mall. Crowded, distracting, and sort of overrated. Compared to other attractions on Granville, I'd say your time is spent better elsewhere.
Diane B: Such a great market, fun for kids. Lots of kid shopping and eating. Feeling safe and contained. Parking available for a reasonable price. Check it out
Selena L: Kids market is full of fun shops! And the upstairs area have a arcade space for children and they are very generous with tickets. I think it's a fun place to come on a rainy day or even on a sunny day. There is a small playground nearby to walk to as well.
Arthur: After visiting the food market we took our daughter to the kids market about a 5 minute walk away. Its split over two levels with shops, gift stores, princess dress shops, bookshop on the ground floor and arcade style games on the top floor. There's a small softplay feature which spans both floors (entrance is upstairs) it's quite small so can get quite congested. That said there are bumper cars and other arcade style games (racers and ride on) to keep them entertained
Anne-Marie H.: Joli marché pour les enfants avec une place pour jouer.
MOKO Kourechian: Great space for kids in all age groups
José Antônio: Lindos
Lindsay Chan: My kids loved this place. We were visiting Vancouver for only a couple days, yet we came here twice.
Anna Werkun: My kid loves the place, I...not so much. But hey! It's a kid market!
Luis Jose Madrid: En la parte de arriba puedes dejar a los niños como míni parque de diversiones
Roy H: Nice place, kids can play for a day
marta szp: Very happy but also loud place (because of the play mashines sound) for kids to play. Not to well organized for parents. Would be nice if parents could seat on front of the play ground and rest while watching their children.
TheRealM: So much fun there!! not only is there an arcade above on the second floor, there are so many kid friendly shops selling a big variety of toys!
Richard Hung: 蠻好逛的
Kendi Harp: Small fun shops. Good spot to help kids get some wiggles out.

The World of Kidtropolis: what do users think?
Bryson Dutzi: Super fun place for your kids birthday parties!
Shiva Ghore Sawvad: My daughter always enjoys her visit (I always have hard time to get her to go).
Nicole Neale: Great place to bring the kids, but pack snacks as the food court is way over priced considering the cost to get in.
Dimicia Speck: Great place to have a party, a bit expensive overall but if you want an easy party than this is the place. The play area is great and all the kids loved it. My only complaint, and the reason I am giving this place 3 stars, is the poor communication regarding their food. It really affected things. We ordered pizzas from them for the party. Ofc the kids there, like many, will only eat cheese pizza. That is what we ordered. Well, we got cheese pizza with an ALFREDO SAUCE. So the kids did not eat. When it was time to pay the rest of the bill at the end of the party, we complained about this. The staff came back and said the manager said there is nothing they can do, because that is the 'standard Freshslice cheese pizza'. Ummmm I have eaten at and ordered Freshslice many time - it's definitely not the standard. It is something you request. There is 'cheese pizza with tomato sauce', and 'cheese with white sauce'. It is safe to say that when someone orders cheese pizza, they assume it's with tomato sauce. They said that is how all their cheese pizzas come at Kidtropolis. Sure, that's fine. But it didn't say that on the menu we ordered from. Had it, we wouldn't of ordered it. Nowhere did it say cheese pizza with white Alfredo sauce. So we had to pay for the pizzas, and the kids didn't really get to eat other than the snacks. Pretty poor customer service if you ask me, they already had made a pretty penny from the room rental and admissions from us, plus drinks and veggie platters. Definitely won't be having another party there again.
Gina “Accussia” Scarp: What a great place for children to play and bring their imagination to life. There was lots of space and the staff were were great as an adult I found a place to be too hot inside with so many people and that is the only thing that I can say.
Sergiy Zautkin: It is a very small place. It is not worth visiting if you are out of town.
Monifa Andrew: Had a private party there over the weekend (after hours) and it was amazing. Staff were fantastic and the venue was perfect for adults to act like kids again. Thank you Kidtropolis and special shout out to Lily who is an amazing events planner.
MOKO Kourechian: Great place for kids and toddlers, small kids town, also great for birthday parties
Ronald Martinez: My one year old love this place.I highly recommend trying this out.
R Douglas: Great place for little kids and the food is good.Parking is difficult to find.
Harman Chhina: Decent place. Not as spacious as thought or appears in pictures. Not sure if will return though
M K: This is a really cool place for kids and parents to chill while kids play safely in a clean environment.Take a look at the pictures of the variety of locations they have inside the playground! I also post the price of the food menu (which is much more reasonable than any other place we have been except the pizza slice - $7!?) staff is very attentive and helping out with any of your issues. Jerry was a great help for us! Thanks again for solving issues with machine and answering the questions we have.Bathrooms are clean and accessible for kids to use with adult supervision. I’d highly recommend this place for any events you have in mind whether it’s a single play or kids’ party! There are also special events they run which someone should check it out!!!
Kate Doane: Amazing! We stayed for hours, my kids ran themselves ragged.
mardi “BigMama” E: Great place for the grandchildren.
Jenn C: Great imaginative play for kids! Has nice area for parents to sit and eat too :)
A L: Great place to spend a rainy day. Free wifi for parents. Kids always have a lot of fun with each visit. Clean bathroom facilities.
hermertred: Fun and Exciting!
Ayun: Finding a parking spot is extremely difficult.
Andrew Graham: Pretty good overall. We spent a couple hours playing in the “city” and had some food from the cafe. Not sure if time of day makes a difference but by midday when we arrived a lot of the play items were in disarray. General cleanliness was very good but the play items throughout the city are pretty tired. A lot of broken and worn out toys. Encounters with staff were minimal but everyone was friendly and professional.
Raegan Peterson: I've wanted to come here with my kids for a few years now, but with covid preventing that etc, we finally made it down. I love the pretend play and set ups. This facility is extremely dirty. Cobwebs on anything above your head. Dust bunnies and chunks of fluff/hair around every baseboard in the kids play areas. Extremely dissapointed in the lack of cleanliness, considering the kids are rolling around on the floors and stacking items on your baseboards and shelves, this needs to be addressed. From recent reviews this has been mentioned as well and not dealt with in any way shape or form... I did mention this to the front desk staff and she mentioned she would pass this on to management. This isn't 1 week old dust and dirt, this is from weeks of not being cleaned. I would not recommend or come here again. Too many older children unattended, with their daycare workers knocking small children over, removing every item from it's designated room. Things were in disaray and we saw 1 worker on the floor during our 2 hour stay.
Chris Czombos: Walked over from the Hilton (about a 20min walk) and found it to be a decent little hang out. The staff was mostly friendly but seemed to be training a new front desk person. The place in general has a cool layout but could be a bit more clean…dust l and cobwebs in areas that clearly aren’t used… would we go back again, probably not but decent to check out once.

Amandeep Singh: It feels good when a city acknowledges and honours its people. Those who made a difference must be talked about. From the inside the place looks super awesome, someone did quite a brilliant job with it. Also don’t miss the 1950 gallery and the cool Ford Fairlane!
Kris King: Slightly smaller museum but very well laid out and the exhibits are wonderful. Only warning is the bathrooms downstairs are very old and dirty. The small garden on the lower floor is cute.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …More
Slawomir Lech: Overated 20 bucks for 30 minutes.
Jane Howe: Loved all the exhibits. Spent 3 hours there. The only critique is of the washrooms. They are very tired and some of the doors dont lock.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …More

Julie McIntyre: Wonderful fashion exhibition currently on and the Vancouver though the ages sets are always educational and fun.
