A L: Don't know why people come here to eat, this place is catered to whites. Terrible food, meat is not fresh (weird taste, defrosted meat), old school cooking. People who come here don't know what's authentic Chinese food, there's something wrong w/ their palette!
Manisha Yadav: This is an amazing restaurant with yummy food. It's always full right from 9am.. there is a long queue in evening. They do food parcel service too.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

DJRICH MUSIC: My wife and I had the pleasure of dining in for the first time while on vacation in Vancouver! Truly one of the best dining experiences during our stay. Food portions were generous and quality was great! We asked for fortune cookies but the server said they had none but offered us a special in house almond dessert type warm soup. Shout out to Candy for being so hospitable!
Tyffany T: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Dumplings, Siu MaiMore
Michael Nemo: We ordered the dinner for 10 for a party of seven so more expensive per person experience than usual. We eat here every time we are in Vancouver, Dim Sum, lunch Dinner. Before moving to the island we would drive from Calgary and Western Lake would be a highlight of our trip. Consistently GREAT food. Make a resetvation or be prepared for a long wait. If you love Peking duck 👍👍👍. Bring an empty stomach and enjoy.
MK E: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Kelly Chan: Dishes are huge here! Weekend reservations recommended as it is very busy and not a huge restaurant; walk-ins may not be accommodated, especially during lunch hour. Their takeout is also quite popular. The siu mai tastes great but is not traditional - more shrimp than minced pork. I really like the steamed shrimp and scallop dumpling and the pan fried shrimp and chive dumpling.
Gigi Mercado: Very good Chinese food. Staff has a good sense of humourFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Dumplings, Chicken Feet, Prawn Dumplings, Steamed Shiu-Mai Dumplings, Siu Mai …More
Peyton Bourree: Delicious! Best dimSum
JonnyBeoulve: This place is a go-to for families celebrating things like graduation and birthdays. And there's a good reason for that. While the portions are large, the food is traditional and spectacular. We had some crab and braised beef with rice. Both were delectable. Our waiter also made an effort to engage in conversation and recommend menu items. Wow this restaurant might be unsuspecting from outside, it's well worth a visit for anybody who appreciates fantastically prepared Chinese food.
Gary Tao (BlueSnowflake): Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Anthea Mak: The sizes of the "dim sum" dishes are impressively large! Even though I have to wait for an hour on a Monday during lunch hours, I still comment that it's good value for money!!!The dishes are a little bit salty for me because I prefer very mild taste.Services and environment are satisfactory. The restaurant is not a sizable one, but space in between tables is reasonable.Limited parking next to the restaurant while street parking nearby is viable, also limited though.
Linda Cui: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Mark Liu: First, I want to compliment the outstanding costumer service the manager Edward had provided us. Impressive!I've always tried to be as objective as possible on reviews. We found this restaurant on a local news paper while we were in SF. I've no idea if it's good or not. We tried MANY Vancouver restaurants. Just in the last 6 months, we traveled to Vancouver 3 times for foods.1. When we arrived, we were shocked. I'm not sure what neighborhood it is but I'm like, should we leave? I'm not even comfortable parking in the area let alone walking to the restaurant and I've been to East Oakland and East Palo Alto and tenderloin district in SF. But once we stepped in the restaurant it's like you went to a different dimension. Very nice decoration, fancy looking Chinese restaurant with tasteful decor! 😮2. I've always appreciate great service. If your family start arguing how much more tips you should give them then you can imagine. I didn't think we give enough tips even with 20%.- They were very attentive to replace dishes. 4 times they replaced my plate. Thoughtful!- Food came very smooth and prompt and 90% freshly hot. That's not easy to do when you ordered so many dishes with party of 12.- They even packed leftover for us the way we want. I mean they were just very attentive and patience and with great attitude.- We are traveling and we bought a Durian. We were embarrassed to ask if they can cut for us because we have no knife to cut it at the hotel. They gladly said they will even pack it for us but apologized that they can't serve it better because they want to be considerate with other customers. That's amazingly kind and considerate for their customers. At the end they even tried to serve them at our table because most customers were gone. I was amazed on how customer focused they were... Especially when you saw the lady'd face who tried to cut the Durian... And the manager and the captain had to hide. Talk about self sacrifice. They are just extraordinarily impressive with customer service. Finally the most important thing: Food. One will usually appreciate the food more if you are hungry. This is the last night we are here in Vancouver and we all overeaten and I was planning to just eat a little. I told my wife don't force me to eat more cause I don't want to eat at all. I ended up ate so much... I thought I was gonna barf.We ordered a 12 lbs king crab and it served 4 dishes: the legs, garlic steamed, noodle with the crab juice, special sauce with crab body and mochi cake, Portuguese baked crab fried rice. Just ridiculously amazing and delicious. But it may be just because of the crab so let's talk about other dishes.貴妃雞 (steamed chicken?) - it's stunning! The meat was perfectly done, tender and not overcooked but most place that make them not overcooked you will see little bit of blood but this one was perfectly cooked. Juicy and flavorful. Not to salty, flavor still cycle around your tongue not overwhelmingly. Best I've had. And I'm a foodie!!Combination starter - the garlic fried prawns were out of this world. Fried crispy garlic was crunchy and flavorful. The ribs, I don't even know what ribs it called... Kind of like orange chicken ribs, just delicious, sweetness and the crispiness are perfectly done. I had the last piece while it soaked in the sauce for 30 minutes and still crispy, how did they do that??Scallop and prawns - were fresh and sweet and perfectly cook. Not easy to not overcooked the scallop. 👍🏼- sea cucumber was very crisp. Again perfect timing and the pea sprout was done perfectly as well.Squab - This is one superbly done squab. Meat was juicy. The chef really knows how to cook things with perfect timing.I've been to many Vancouver's restaurants for many years. This is gotta be the best HK style banquet restaurants I've been. Many restaurants change over the year with chef and management, I hope they will be around for a long time.Michelin stars has no clue otherwise, I can say for service and quality of food, it's at least 2 stars.
Tony Chan: 這個地方真係各式各樣都能保持優良,所以早晚生意都爆棚。

happyskier2009: Good Cantonese food, delicious and good service!
Joyce Chan: Came here on a Thursday at 11:00 A.M. and there were still plenty of empty tables but by the time we left shortly after 12:30 P.M., there was a line of people waiting for a table.Overall, taste and quality of the dim sum is above average. The seafood and beet dumpling was interesting. You could definitely see real hunks of crab in there. Nice that the fried squid tentacles didn't have a heavy batter. It was light but still crunchy. Skin on the dumpings were not overly thick. You could definitely taste the truffle in the mushroom truffle dumplings. Price is proportionate to the quality and quantity of food you get. Wouldn't mind returning again.Service was average. Nothing exceptional also no complaints.Nice thing is that your parking is free for 2 hours for lunch. You just have to enter in your license plate at the tablet right inside the front of the restaurant.
Kaman Kwok: My friend is a regular customer so service tonight is exceptional. Quite different from my past experience. I asked for low sodium option and they listened. Lobster is slightly over cooked, still delicious. Overall a great dining experience.
Randolf Richardson: The food here is excellent, particularly the dumplings and the beef noodle soups. They also have a robot that drives around inside the restaurant and helps in serving drinks and food.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Dim Sum, Deep Fried Crispy Chicken, Mango Pudding, Dumpling, Soup …More

One as a celebratory dinner with the family, another for their dim sumService can be hit and miss but John is always great to give recommendationsFood is really good, everything tasted on point.- Would recommend the lobster and crab- Their special fried rice with salted egg is amazing- dim sum taste great: the traditionals + egg tart + shrimp and chive dumpling 👍Restaurant is clean and quiet. Margaret Au: Not only is it one of the recommended restaurants by Michelin Guide Vancouver, Dynasty Seafood Restaurant is also the winner of Vancouver’s Chinese Restaurant Awards in the Best Dim Sum and Best Cantonese categories in 2022. With such a profile, I had very high expectations, and Dynasty totally delivered! We went there for dinner. Every single dish we ordered was delicious! Fresh ingredients, properly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Each plate was thoughtfully put together and not just thrown together. Wait staff was attentive, pleasant and courteous. It was such an enjoyable experience that we went back the next day to try their dim sum. Again, the whole Dim Sum experience was amazing. If you are in the Vancouver area and looking for good Cantonese food, Dynasty Seafood Restaurant is definitely not to be missed!

dalia pan: Great place for lunch with a good city view!We ate lot of items, and everything was amazing! Servers are very friendly & they strongly suggest what to eat & they are proven to be right time & again!
Alice Millen-Reese: I had dinner there April 22, 2023. We were a party of 5. We had Hot/sour soup, a deep fried squid dish, prawns and a vegetable dish with cashews and plain steamed rice. No booze, just tea and no dessert. The bill was just under $175 without tip. The service was so bad it was laughable. It became a joke at the table trying even to place our order and to get the bill. The food was very good but not worth going back.

Gain Wah Restaurant Ltd: what do users think?
Arielle Cox: Closed down… so sad.
Tanja Ehrler: Closed down completely
Mike Estrella: Its close
A: Still closed, probably still recovering from the fire. I don't know why Google says it is open. I prefer this place over New Town Restaurant for hot, cooked food because of the portion size, affordability, and taste.
V8 Tractor: 晚上七点半到的,已经关门了
Yunfei Long: My favourite Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. Really good service and food. Hope you get recovered and I'll definitely revisit when you reopen.
Lawrence Ng: The 5 star rating is to help them recover from a fire over the weekend. Hope they are up and running again soon for everyone's sake, especially the displaced residents of the SRO above them.
stephen olson: Have been here several times with other people who also enjoyed atmosphere and bathroom and accessibility as well....good service as well.
Isaac Girt: Friendly service and good food.
relaxation with delone: Iv always loved coming here ever since I could talk and walk my parents brought me here I got to know the the real nice woman that is in the front celebrities have eaten here plus government politiciansVegetarian options: you got vegetarian options 😋 Wheelchair accessibility: They care about you 👍
Mitchell Taylor: Service is always fast and food is good if you are after something tasty late at night. They are so friendly and i am always met with a smile. What more could you want out of your local Chinese takeaway.(Mainly posting the menu for myself)
Vegas VE: Just had House Special Fried Rice to go. Friendly Staff and Delicious! Great Value Daily Special at $9.45. Currently Take Out Only.
Norman Tran: Great place to eat Chinese food for the last 30 years. Still the same Chef and owner. Many chinatown orignal restaurants gone now. I'm very please to see this place still here. Food prices is fair and Employees are friendly. Side note when I was younger years ago I went crab fishing and the chef even cook it for me for a small price. Wonderful time 1990
Drew Barry More: Good price and very good food. Love the staff there
Kelly Wong: hidden gem! A lovely hole in the wall, super affordable ($10 specials), authentic Chinese food :) reminds me of old school hk restaurants - gives me nostalgia, can see how it’s a local neighbourhood favfriendly owner and lady at the front, been in business for 40+ years but due to Covid is only doing takeout. Will be back , support your friendly neighbourhood gems 😛
dre jey: Best Restaurant, most affordable price and amazing people. Dine-in closed but take out is worth it. If you haven't tried from here, just try it already.
Christopher Kwong: Personal ...I really like the " siu yuk / b b q pork " the only thing is hard to find parking also although they do v street parking ( meters but a lot of them OUT of SERVICE / not working )Not surprise ..... Chinatown area
Alex Walls: Gain wah is a friendly, frugal and delicious choice when in Chinatown, many classics and some specials that I will never try again but please do us both a favour and get the Singapore fried vermicelli. It's good. The other day I got the 'spicy ginger beef' it was not spicy, there wasn't a hint of ginger and was served on old rice with on cooked carrots and celery, I took it back because it was abhorrent, the chef told me that most folks don't like it spicy and that's just the way they do it, I retract my previously adequate revue and replace it with, an ornery chef who can't take criticism or cook will make you garbage food.
Freewind Academy: Great food, friendly staff! Just had some amazjng bean cake
Delilah Joseph: The best food
Selena B: Was craving authentic Chinese food and this restaurant came in the search.due to covid, it's only take out but the food came out quick. I had the pleasure of speaking to the main waitress there and she was so pleasant and lovely. This restaurant has been here for 40 years and the food was delicious. Definitely support this local business whenever you want authentic Cantonese food!

Penny Rusty Sophie: We've driven by this tiny little Chinese restaurant for a while now and finally decided to drop by Wo Chinese Restaurant for dinner last month.Overall, I'd say the food is pretty good versions of what you would expect at a Chinese restaurant. Crispy fried spring rolls, thick corn soup, nicely prepared sweet and sour pork with a crisp exterior. The dish I really liked was the boneless chicken, mushroom, and onion hot pot... Lots of tasty caramelized onions in this dish. The Buddha's feast felt like it was a bit too westernized as it was mainly non-Chinese vegetables with tofu. I would have liked to see some black fungus or other types of veggies in the dish.
Healing Ray: My husband and I found this place on doordash as we were craving for Chinese. My husband's pineapple sweet and sour chicken was good, and I like my vegetarian chow mein. The spring rolls I could have done without, and the portions could have been a bit bigger, but otherwise, we would order here again.Vegetarian options: Liked the vegetable chow main!

Julie Hamnett: I would give Wo's Chinese Restaurant 100 🌟 s if I could, we have gotten Chinese food from a lot of other places but none if them can come close to being as good and as delicious as Wo's, we have made Wo's our go to for years and it was last year that we moved out of Vancouver to Chilliwack and we have tried some Chinese restaurants out here and we're so disappointed that we couldn't find another place that could be our new go to but we have come to realize that Wo's restaurant is just the best and the other restaurants out here in Chilliwack can't even come close to being as good as they are.
Jason Irvine: You’ll be surprised! Amazing great price!
Gloria Van Hilton: Both my office friends and family enjoy the food from Wo's Chinese Restaurant. The cuisines are traditional Chinese taste. We usually pickup the food ourselves.Wo's offers 10% discount for order value over $30, except SPECIALS which are already discounted items. We will definitely come back again.
Dawn Millen: Unfussy, authentic chinese food.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Google Guide: Great place to satisfy your craving for Cantonese style food. There are not many Chinese restaurants around Main and SE Marine so what a bonus. Dishes are reasonably priced (it would be perfect if the portions were a bit bigger). Authentic taste. Street parking or 3 spots at the back of the restaurant. Easily accessible by transit. #letsguide #covid

Kristy Chen: A great place for unique drinks and snacks. Although the resturant itself is chinese inspired, the dishes that they serve are very interesting and I would definately recommend this place as a late night eats. The texture of the bao is super yummy and the flavours for the tofu curd was a tad salty, but the seasoning complimented well. The bartender was super friendly and recommend various drinks, although the place was pretty busy on a weekend and there is not a lot of space. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here.
Gagan: Food was spectacular, you can tell each dish was crafted thoughtfully and with purpose.

Stars were: crispy fried silken tofu, cold eggplant with ginger, bao, peashoots. Wonderful selection of mocktails and cocktails with delightful service. Just a really solid place built on family traditions and a love for fresh local ingredients prepared perfectly.

Lala Cloud: Absolutely fantastic 😍 well balanced dishes and great atmosphere. There $55 per person option is more than worth it and nearly every dish is 5/5. Dennis Jasinski: We saw that the ratings here were very high so we thought we would try it out. At first we were unsure of the menu options. We were informed by the waitress that it is typical to order 4-5 items an split them amongst the table guests. So that’s what we did. We wisely chose 4 items that we were very pleased with.It was very crowded, every table was occupied so make reservations. The food was very different, but very tasty, overall 4/5 not too shabby. Wendy Chang: Charle was an amazing server, he made sure all of us enjoyed our experience throughout the whole meal. The dishes tasted great and we love the vibe and how family oriented this restaurant is.We’ll definitely be back again when we visit Vancouver!
Andrea Thorpe: We had the 'chefs choice' option and had so many delicious plates that we probably wouldn't have tried on our own. Food was great.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
David Shultz: Every dish was amazing, wish we could dine here again before we leave. Will 100% be back on our next trip to Vancouver
Victoria Gereluk: Went here this past weekend to celebrate and was really excited to try this place out. The food was very well made and tasted incredible, I would definitely try taking food out here and trying more of the menu. The reason for 3 stars though is the service was incredibly terrible. Our server was not personable or chatty - did not introduce themselves, did not explain the menu, did not provide recommendations, barely spoke to us. It was our first time dining here so some direction would have been appreciated. And given the amount of money dinner & drinks cost us (almost $200 including tip), I expected to have a little more service. There were a few different people who brought us our food and only 2 of 5 people explained what was actually in the dish. The best service we had all night was from a server who brought a cocktail over and accidentally spilled it. They immediately brought over a new drink without even having to be asked and were apologetic - hey things happen!Anyways, I won't be rushing back here to dine in unfortunately. tl;dr - service horrible, food amazing
abi: amazing food, amazing service! awesome vegetarian options! thanks charles!
Nader Qawasmi: The effort and care that went into every dish we had here can’t be understated. One of the best new Chinese experiences in the City. The Bao was my favourite thing!

Ryan Taylor: Love this place! We’ve been there with big family groups twice. They have all the classics: sweet and sour pork, ginger beef. It’s all super fresh and clearly made to order. The staff were also very friendly. We look forward to checking out their dim sum.

d h: I made the mistake of phone ordering and not asking for a total cost before pickup and was astounded that I was charged $99 for 5 dishes, one of which was noodles.I had been a customer a few times before, at their old location, and was very satisfied with their food and their prices.

Google User (M. B.): Overpriced Cantonese dim sum. Average quality. Bizarre hours, closed 3 to 5 pm for staff lunch. They used to be better when they were on Cambie and 59th.

Anita P: Enjoyed a nice large family celebration with dim sum. Food was high quality and delicious as always. The owners are always trying to improve and we even got to try a sample of a new vegetarian dim sum dish for free. A great place to try authentic dim sum if you are not Chinese as their english is excellent, customer service is high, and the facility is very clean.

Darlene Wong: Vancouver Dining Institution. We came by this evening for a dinner featuring one of our favorite dishes, beef with Chinese croutons. This place is only one three in town that still offers this dish on their menu. We first discovered this dish in the mid- 80's from restaurants that no longer exist. We were thrilled to be able to still order it here. My family and I have had a hankering for this dish for ages. It did not disappoint. The salty donut was sliced thin and double fried so it was very crispy accompanied by tender slices of beef, water chestnuts, mushrooms in an oyster, green onion and ginger flavoured sauce. We also ordered their deep fried cod filet in a cream corn sauce and an order of deep fried spicy pork chops seasoned with five spices, garlic and jalapeno peppers. Our dinner was so satisfying on so many levels. The restaurant was 3/4 full, service was efficient. Ambiance is relaxed as diners are happy to enjoy a leisurely meal. The interior lighting is bright so you can see your food and the other diners. This restaurant was known for their dim sum which used to be delivered by carts but that option is no longer available. The dim sum menu is unfortunately a smaller selection than what their cart service was. It's dim sum by selecting from the menu only now. Last order for dine in dim sum orders is 2:30 pm. Take out is available but no delivery. The quality of their dishes remain consistently excellent.
Joseph Duong: Dim sum is not worth it. There is a reason there is no wait to be seated. Overpriced as they only give you 3 pieces of not great tasting dim sum. Don't waste your money and time coming hereFood: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Bunny C: All day dim sum. Super nice restaurant.

James On Hastings Chinese Restaurant: what do users think?
Albert August: In my opinion this place ain’t that good first time I ever hated fried rice I bought the egg fried rice one star. And the Shanghai noodles wasn’t the greatest. The sweet and sour pork was alright but I won’t eat it again. Was the only place open near me. Should of bought McDonald’s
Catherine Devine: Wow!!! Delicious best Chinese in town by far!! It’s a little more expensive but totally worth it!! Huge fresh shrimps in the hot n sour soup and the flavour is amazing!! Chicken chow mein was also really tasty more then enough chicken!! I asked for sause on the side they gave me extra !! Love this place 🙂🙂🙂
Derrick Zabotel: Great food great service.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Deep Fried, Chicken Chow Mein, Sweet and Sour Pork Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free street parking …More
Kaman Kwok: The noodle stir fry is excellent - full of “wok air” 😅. The crab prawn ball is crispy and tasty. There are so many items we want to try and plan to visit regularly. We went again and ordered the lobster with three other dishes - they all tasted excellent except they are very salty. I asked for low sodium at the time of order however they are saltier tonight than other visits.
Very Hangry Guy: The cantonese cuisine here is top notch. I order take-out from here about once per week. Real, authentic, awesome! If you are looking for western style chinese food, this place is not for you. @veryhangryguyFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Max Nguyen: So much good food, but make sure you dont mind of a bit noisy sound from asian's culture :))))Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Amy L: The worst Asian food for high prices. Tofu tasted rancid. Beef had a strange spoiled flavor. There was also a large language barrier with our server, so none of us understood what we were actually ordering. We couldn’t believe we wasted the calories, time, and money here. And it wasn’t cheap. Recommend that you go someplace else; anyplace else.
James Lee: Traditional Chinese cuisine with huge selections and some special dishes.Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Steven Choi: Great experience of authentic Cantonese food! Big portions, tasty food without loads of MSG.Their King Crab set menus are also good value compare to other places.Service is good when the restaurant is not busy. You won't get 5 star hotel service experience but the boss and waiters do go extra miles to make sure that you are happy.

Carrie Yuen-Lo: My family really enjoys their curry crab. Delicious! All their 4 dish specials are excellent choices. You can choose from a menu of over 80 dishes! Great flavour & a huge variety to choose from. 👍Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetable dishes to choose from. There are also meat dishes combined with different kinds of vegetables.
Stevie Charlie: This is one of the few places you can find like dining in the traditional Dai Pai Dong. Boss very friendly, food portion big, service good and fast, place clean, and stays open till midnight. Food tasting fair I would say, but everything else is good enough to make you feel like you want to come back again.
Kit Ming Lam: 京都肉排十分好味,火腩豆腐㷛足料,但有點偏咸,免費的老火湯也價得一贊,好味!
