CARE Program Women's Health Centre: what do users think?
Melina Dii: Taryn, Lauren, resident, Dr Chang, counsellor, all of you who were involved today. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. ❤️
Anna: They performed an incomplete termination on me. Have been suffering for 2+ months now because of it.
harjot Sidhu: Staff is best you feel like you are out on vacation with friends even the consultant ladies are awesome they explain you everything at starting so good thanks everyone for your help
Nicole Day: I could not have asked for a better experience at CARE, the nurses, drs, counselors...everyone was fantastic and so kind, caring and compassionate. I was incredibly anxious for my procedure but everyone here made me feel SO safe. Even though I (think) I was the last patient of the day and they were about 2 hours delayed everyone was extremely empathetic and made me feel comfortable during my entire visit. I went to with concious sedation for my procedure and I hardly remember anything and it was completely painless, definitely recommend.
Tammy Zalischuck: My mom was treated terrible in the Fir rehab because she was off the street
Nina S: I would like to say thanks the staff of C.A.R.E. program. I was terrified and their doctors and nurses were caring and supportive. They answered on all my question and expanded to me the process. I really grateful.
Desiree Demchuck: Got my abortion yestrday ... the nurses here were so good to me very nice they made me feel safe I was scared at first cuz it was my first time but the ladies in the procedure room made me feel comfortable and relaxed .. they talked to me the whole time.. the procedure didn't even hurt . Thank u to the wonderful nurses and staff for taking care of me and the counselor lady for making me feel better 🙂
Christina Zeng: I was anxious about this appointment, but the sedation was not deep, just enough to make you comfortable, without pain, and stress free (almost like taking 1 - 2mg of Ativan, plus pain relief). The nurses here were reassuring and the procedure itself only took 5 minutes. Once it's over, you are able to rest for a few minutes on a bed, and then able to leave. They also provide a heating pad during the procedure to make you feel comfortable. They require you to fast for 6 hours (no food), and no drinking for 2 hours prior to the procedure. I would recommend booking your appointment first thing in the morning for this reason.
Bumblebee: The nurses at Care were kind, caring and efficient. I didn’t have to wait too long after I was checked in. Although, I was uncomfortable being in the same room as someone choosing to terminate a pregnancy. A separate program for pregnancy loss would be nice. The reason for the 3 stars is because I paged the on call doctor through the hospital because I was having severe pain and NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. How awful.
Laura Bechard: I booked and confirmed my appointment online. I carefully read the tab "Preparing" on the website prior to my appointment. Nowhere did it say I could not eat before. I was ready and they told me they could not proceed. The staff is very courteous but I was quite disappointed and stressed out after this. Now I have to wait another 10 days...
Raven McNeil: I love the accessibility of the service and the confidentiality. Very professional yet compassionate workers. Impressed with how eager each person was to assist in anyway they could.
Emily Woods: Seriously that was a lovely experience. Doctors and nurses were pleasant and I didn't feel judged in the slightest
Kikioxas: The staff here are amazing and made my experience feel seamless and acted with compassion and empathy. They do have a long wait time when you intially call them but please know that it is worth it and they will help you.
Andrea Amba: The staffs are amazing! They make sure that you feel safe, comfortable and you feel very safe. I forgot to do the survey they hand out to let them know how your service went but it was amazing. the nurses/doctors make sure you have all the information you need to know and they take very good care for you.
Nyny Ng: They put me on hold for almost an hour ... like Almost an hr ... crazy
Abby McKenzie: I've been sitting on hold for 58 minutes
Hazel Bell: I have nothing but deep sincere gratitude for the nurses, doctors and staff of the CARE Program. I received respectful and kind treatment while under their care. They provide an invaluable service for women and our community. Thank you.
Diamonds: This place saved me a huge amount of hassle in life. I am excited for my visits on June 1st & 2nd. I am scared to be put under sedation for my procedure, but also know their staff are friendly, cooperative & highly trained professionals. This visit is saving my life. And another life too. 3 thanks CARE program (:-Sabrina Proskow

Everywoman's Health Centre: what do users think?
Aneela Junaid: Very helpful
tom hanks: the staff were very educated and kind, the counsellor was extremely helpfuli had a surgical abortion and it was a really good experience 💗i never saw another patient, it was very private. you have to be buzzed in to the building as well which i find is a nice touch for safety and privacy
Julia Reis: First I saw a counselor then I sit and wait in a chair. I waited for quite some time and then a nurse came to get me and put me in a chair with curtains around it. Then I waited some more and she did my Vital Signs and I waited again. I waited for a long time then another nurse brought me to a room and just ask questions and did a blood test. Then a doctor and student came into the room and try to talk to me. I was pretty tired from waiting and I did scream when the student was doing some kind of exam I think the medical device was pinching me it was painful. The doctor was friendly and sincere, I liked her and every womans health centre
Megan Vance: Very traumatic experience.I went to this clinic as another clinic could not locate my arm implant. I was told by the receptionist they would be able to locate it since it was inserted at their location and they have the medical notes. I went in for a removal of my arm implant. After doing the 30 min intake I went into the exam room to be told it’s not even expired. (Why didn’t the nurse notice during intake) They then couldn’t locate my implant. I decided to continue with my Pap smear, after swabbing me they dropped the container and it spilt all over me. Left the clinic crying as the doctor “couldn’t do anything “
MH: They are the best for inserting an IUD. I was anticipating more pain and cramps but before I even got a chance to think about it it was done! Total of 5 minutes being in the room. They really know their stuff so if you need an IUD I highly suggest here!
Abby Beattie: was terrified of getting an IUD because of all the women saying it hurt so bad. but they made me so comfortable and it was so easy and painless! little pressure but nothing else, im so relieved and very happy with my experience! thanks again
Alexia Larochelle: The staff is amazing! From the front desk to the social worker, the nurses and the doctor. They made me feel comfortable and were very kind and comprehensive. You are the best!
K ram: Terrible experience witht the woman on the phone. I had to try 3 times to get through because it took so long (over half an hour) to get through to somebody. 3 days, 3 tries later, using my lunch break to call, i get through, book my appointment. I let her know I had to wait quite a long time to get through and before I knew it she was on a rampage telling me about how their under-staffed and under-funded, that she's lucky to take 3 calls an hour, and finsihed the call saying it was her lunch and so she was going to go. No apology, nothing. I was so shocked I managed to whisper 'ok bye' and that was it. People on these lines need to be compassionate for what the person on the other end of the phone are going through. Glad she was able to get HER lunchbreak. Good for her. I used mine for the last 3 days trying to get through. Cheers.
Aisha Paris: I was sent away without even opening the door. I was told at the speaker while I was in tears that every abortion is an emergency which I absolutely understand but I am 19, I just needed guidance even if it doesn’t necessarily mean an appointment at least some direction to what steps I should take in this situation. I assumed that is what woman’s clinics are for and I am disappointed that I was brushed off.
AK: I feel compelled to write a review. The process was easy, relatively fast and the staff were very kind. It was a stressful experience for me in general because of my high levels of anxiety but the staff were there to answer any questions and even though they are extremely busy still accommodated me and made time for in-person follow up appointments (which could have been done on the phone) to ensure everything went well. I particularly want to mention the kindness that was extended to me by two of the nurses, one of which who held my hand through the ultrasound and the other who urged me to get a Pap during the ultrasound which was in my best interest. Both of those ladies were lovely and very comforting! I decided to donate monthly after my experience as these facilities need the funding.
Mel: Incredible clinic and incredible group of staff. I felt heard and comfortable the entire time I was there despite my extreme (extreme!) anxiety disorder. People need to remember that clinics like EWHC receive very little to no funding and because of this will obviously be understaffed. What they are doing is so so important. Thank you.Don’t let the few bad reviews steer you away from the work they’re doing.
kendra Vermette: I went to the clinic for an IUD insertion, I was very anxious and nervous for the procedure (partly because I had read a lot of bad reviews). The nurses and doctors were very kind and walked me through all of the procedures within the process of the insertion. Every women’s health care centre made me feel very protected while I was there, and on the phone. The nurses, councillors, and doctors are all very knowledgeable and helpful! Thank you Every Women’s Health Care Centre!
Olga Barabanshchikova: I can't say enough good things about this clinic. Yes, it takes time to get in, but they are doing their best. All staff at the clinic are very professional, friendly, compassionate and supportive. Thank you for making me feeling as comfortable as you can be.
Highend Electrical Ltd: it is quick response. treated me so nice like family member.
Davud Alhasan: Very bad service and very bad workers
Manpreet Kaur: The staff was amazing, kind, patient, and respectful. I felt safe and comfortable during my visits.
liv Donovan: They make you wait on hold for like an hour or you can leave a message BUT THEY NEVER CALL BACK,You guys need more staff on phones or learn a better system because it’s awful being on hold that long in this kind of situation
Kimia Jarrahian: Need more staff. Staff is very professional, and knowledgable. Happy with the service except the only and the biggest problem is that it is impossible to get a hold of them. I have never been able to get through the call and not waited more than 40 minutes. The call wait time has been increasing over the years and this seems like an issue they are not resolving. Even though I am happy with their service I have to more on to a different clinic just because It just doesn't seem like I can get a hold of them ever!!
Fatima AlFalah: The best staff and the best service, they make you feel comfortable and make sure you are aware about everything. Thank you Everywoman's Health Centre 🙏🏽❤
Valerie Xu: Some Chinese speaker 上来第一句话,伤害性不大,侮辱性极强👍🏻
Levi Lu: This gotta be one of the worst hospitals out there, my wife scheduled a medical abortion with them, there's no follow up and they even forgot to schedule the blood test, we found out after went to the blood test facility. And it's always busy with their phone line, no one calls back. Extremely unprofessional.

Willow Clinic: what do users think?
Becca Castellanos: Doctor who did my insertion didn’t do it properly. They really don’t care about their patients here. You are disregarded. They are clearly understaffed and over worked. Tried to get my IUD removed and didn’t get any sympathy for having to go to the hospital due to intense pain that they first caused me in the first place. Ontop of that the receptionist on the phone I just spoke to make an appointment was super rude. I said I can’t hear her and she’s like well maybe the noise in the background is causing that and it’s not me. So rude. I strongly dislike this clinic. If you want to be treated like a human, do not go here. Plus appointment times are way into months advanced.
Meghan McCallum: This was the best experience I have ever had in a health care setting. I got an IUD inserted by Dr. Park and she is a fantastic physician. I was very nervous but she was incredibly empathetic, very conscious of my comfort throughout the entire appt, and made an effort to let me know that she was not in a rush and would go as slow as I requested. I had gotten an IUD previously as a different clinic with no anaesthetic and it was a VERY different experience. The pain management they give you here is SO worth it, and I recommend it to any ladies that want an IUD but are worried about the pain of insertion.
Beatrice Massolin: Had my first IUD inserted last week and I had a great experience! The front desk was accommodating when booking the appointment and both doctors I saw for the consultation and procedure were very sweet, friendly, answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable throughout. I’ll keep coming here!
Charayah Raichuk: All the staff are friendly and helpful. They are punctual and welcoming. Very good clinic.
Caroline Stanislawski: From the phone call to the appointment everyone was nice and helpful.
Nidz Bp: From the front desk, assistant and doctor B was so helpful and patient. She helped me to relax and follow the procedure very calmly.Great service with great staff members.Even on the phone they were able to assist in every way they can.
Kyle Ransom: Filled out online paperwork, went to my doctor, had a request sent in, no call back, they do not answer their phones and in the message it says they do not take messages. Complete waste of time.
Denise F: Would not recommend going here for procedures. The front desk staff are rude and never anwser the phone. The clinic gets what needs to be done and ships you out of there with no medical support after
Amanda Klassen: Great clinic for women. Recommended by a friend, and I would recommend to others too.
Megan Vance: After waiting 3 months for this appointment and commuting from North Vancouver The DR could not locate my arm implant. “Claims im the first she’s not been able to locate” and now I have to see a plastic surgeon. She barley even looked at my arm, the doctor that was being trained did a better look. This was also the same doctor who inserted it. The receptionist also faxed my prescription to the wrong pharmacy and refused to re fax. I had to call my own pharmacy on the spot and get them to fax it over to the correct pharmacy.
Amanda Y: I got an IUD here and the insertion was virtually painless. Cramping and bleeding yes, but I didn't even realize it was done. I did take ibuprofen before hand. They let you stay for a bit with a heating pad which is very nice and I would recommend getting one (if you don't have one already) for afterwards when the cramping comes.
Angela Wong: Dr. Amanda Whitten is an absolute gem, I’ve had her twice and she’s pretty much the only reason I like to come back to this clinic. She always lets you know what’s going on and I’ve never had any issues from my IUD placement thanks to her wonderful skill and amazing wealth of knowledge and experience. Never thought going to a women’s health clinic would be a highlight in my day :)
Adrianna Trowsdale: If you’re closed for over an hour in the day and cannot receive calls, it should probably be reflected in your online hours. The emergency line stated in the phone recording is COMPLETELY unintelligible, so from 12-1:30 you can’t reach anybody, even in an emergency.
Natasha E: I have thought a lot about writing this review, as I believe my bad experience was not necessarily due to negligence. Perhaps the day I went there staff was short. The last time I visited this clinic, I went there to remove my Nexplanon. The doctor injected the numbing solution and proceeded to remove the implant right away. There was barely any waiting and the pain was really bad. The implant wouldn't just come off easily, so she squeezed and squeezed, and it was a terrible experience.I am aware that staff is short everywhere and that it has become really hard to dedicate more than a few minutes to a patient, but this experience was really traumatic and I hope by reading this you will be more aware of how rushing certain procedures negatively affect your patients.I have nothing negative to say about staff behavior as everyone was pleasant and kind, but I left this place so scared to ever need an implant again.
Joyce xie: General had such a good experiences, everyone is really friendly and welcomed. The procedure itself is so quick and painless (just feels like a bad cramp) I love that the doctor is telling me every single steps she is doing to make sure I am okay and also remembers my name! After the procedure , except some minor bleeding and cramping there’s no other side effect. 100% recommended this place !
Jina S: Had two procedures done here. Dr weibe and Dr. B (forgot her name) both are kind, knowledgeable and amazing ❤️Thank you!
Rosie Harris: I was terrified about getting an IUD, and read some horror stories on the clinics in Vancouver, but the doctor who did the procedure was amazing, she helped and re-assured me. She kept saying helpful comments to help me calm down, helped me do breathing techniques so I don’t pass out. It was minimal pain, and a quick procedure. I would recommend following their procedure about taking an Advil, that helped. Room was clean, the hot pad area after procedure helped as well. Overall experience from the doctors was amazing and readjusted my mindset. UPDATE: about 5 months after, unfortunately my IUD fell out, but that was nothing to do with the clinic, be aware and make sure to take time in not rushing IUD.
Polly F: Willow Clinic was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend anyone who is getting their IUD insertion/removal to do so here!I've read many reviews prior to booking and noted how hard it was to get through but thankfully I had no issues. I called in the morning, and while they did put me on hold, I was able to speak to someone and get an appointment booked immediately.I had a virtual consultation which didn't start at the booked time, however I called their office, left a voicemail, and was promptly called back shortly after. The receptionist had instructed that I come in about 40 min before my actual start time which made the entire process seamless and efficient.I, like many other people, was extremely scared of the procedure as I had my IUD inserted before at another clinic and it was a traumatizing experience with the insertion lasting 30 minutes with lots of blood and pain. I cannot thank the doctor enough for how quick and smooth the whole procedure was (about 5 minutes total and a slight bit of cramping). The previous dr also had made a comment in regards to my body and why it was so difficult for insertion but the Willow Clinic dr reassured me this was not the case and that I was completely normal. After the insertion, they asked if I had questions and provided a space for me to lie down for 15 minutes before I left. All in all, I can't thank Willow Clinic enough.
gurpreet kaur: Really very helpful doctor and other staff
Gagan Namsaur: They never answer the phone even when you call during clinic hours, front receptionist are rude and unprofessional. They don’t listen to anything just want to quickly hang up when your just trying to get some important information.
Gabriela Kuczynski: I had an IUD inserted here with Dr. Wiebe and had a mixed experience. I want to start off by saying that I came into the appointment VERY nervous and anxious but the procedure was so quick and virtually painless - that was definitely a bonus, because I had heard so many horror stories about IUD insertions and I was pleasantly surprised when the doctor told me it was in - I didn't even notice! They perform an ultrasound before and after insertion and also numb the cervix - I think this really helped because I barely had any pain. The insertion/procedure itself was seamless and I had no issues there. I want to make it very clear that the insertion was so much better than I was expecting. However, while Dr. Wiebe is clearly a very experienced and skilled practitioner, I was a bit taken aback by her bedside manner. I was visibly upset when she came in and she didn't address it at all; when I mentioned that I was feeling quite anxious about the procedure, she laughed and said "that's normal." She immediately went on to do the ultrasound and the procedure, and did not ask me if I had any questions or concerns, which left me feeling kind of dismissed. After the procedure, I had questions about aftercare and she was very dismissive and told me to "refer to the pamphlet" (I didn't receive any pamphlets so I wasn't sure what she was talking about) and just briefly went over keeping an eye out for infections. She had very blunt answers to the other questions I asked.I was really shocked at the end. I was laying on the table while she was finishing up her chart notes and I said thank you, but she just walked out of the room without saying anything. I bled a decent amount during the procedure, and I was just left there on the table, still bleeding. I was confused because I wasn't given anything to "clean up" with so I was left feeling very uncomfortable. All she said was that I could go back to the waiting room to rest for 5 minutes or to the recovery room down the hall. I got dressed and went to the recovery room with the heat packs, where another staff member (a nurse or receptionist?) told me to "make it quick because we're closing soon and I have to leave to go pick up my kid." There were 2 patients that came in for insertions after I did, so I knew I had a bit of time until the doctor was finished, but the comment from the nurse/receptionist threw me off. I ended up just leaving the clinic and going down to my car to sit for a bit.The doctor was clearly in a rush, which I can understand, but a lot of people (myself included) are quite nervous with these procedures and I feel like I would've been much more comfortable if the staff were more compassionate. I am really happy that my procedure was so quick and painless, but I was really upset with the lack of compassion and bedside manner from the staff.EDIT: I see that Willow Clinic responded, which I appreciate. However, I went down to look at some older reviews and found 2-3 additional ones with very similar comments regarding the lack of compassionate care and being left alone in the room bleeding afterwards, and these reviews mentioned the same doctor. It makes me wonder if these comments were ever even addressed by staff since they are 2-3 years old and the doctor is clearly still treating patients the same way. I really hope that the clinic actually takes some sort of meaningful action.

Vancouver Women's Health Collective: what do users think?
Calla J: Whoever answered the phone could not have cared less. Clearly some sort of secret society.
Bat Girl: I felt judged as a woman of color here, and I am from BC. Perhaps I wasn't their target demographic.
Camila Corbacho: They helped me a lot and they are very attentive
Aureuz C.A.: Nice staff and nurses, good service overall but one must be early to get attended.
MyFriendRuby Pearl: I WAS REALLY LET DOWN. I WANTED TO FIND A HEALTH CLINIC THAT TREATED ME LIKE A HUMAN, BUT INSTEAD I WASTED MY TIME AND WAS TREATED LIKE AN INCONVENIENT IDIOT.I needed prescription refills for drugs for mental health issues. As I had bad experiences in other health clinics I thought that this place might be the answer to my prayers. I phoned Thursday afternoon to see if I could get an appointment, but they did not have any before my prescriptions ran out (annoying, but not their fault). I was told that there were some walk-in appointments the next day starting at 9.30am and I would have the best chance of getting one if I arrived at 9am (sounded fair to me). So I arranged the morning off work and made special travel arrangements to get there. However, when I arrived I was met by a rude and condescending staff member. She told me that the nurses had changed their schedule and were not going to be in until around 11am. When I mentioned what I had been told the day before, she just said “… the nurses sometime change their schedule”, as if I was stupid and this was something I should have known.I made special arrangements to get there because of information THEY gave me, and now I have to work late to make up time, I still have to find a clinic to get my prescription refill AND I was made to feel like an idiot. I am so disappointed.
Simone Lewis: Sonja Rietkerk is absolutely wonderful! She made my experiance as pleasent and as comfortable as it could have been. She answered all my questions and sent me away with great advice and wonderful resources. The women in this facility go beyond in putting your mind at ease. All the staff prioritized my needs in the most thoughtful ways possible.
Tamerlana: Great clinic, I got a free and fast walk in prescription. Attentive staff and homey atmosphere.
RilaKat (リラキャット): Helped me when I'm not from BC!
amyhere (summersundries): Came from out of province and the staff was friendly and accomodating. No extra paperwork or forms, they just saw me as per normal. They even had a box for no health card so they maybe accomodating to those without valid health cards but cant personally speak to that. Nurse practitioner and her NP student were great and very thorough. The neighbourhood seems a but sketchy. Lots of signs about injectable drug use, HIV services, and addiciton outreach seem to indicate this is a large part of either their clients or just the neighbourhood in general. Wouldnt want to be in this neighbourhood at night but during the day when you'd actually be going there its fine.Call ahead as they only have a few walk in spots so be waiting when they open to ensure you get in. Also they require you to physically wait for the appointment there which can take an hour or two. But again they are kind and accomodating while you wait, and you get wonderful and compassionate care once you get in, so worth it in my opinion.
Andrea Mellalieu: I can`t imagine going anywhere else. The nurses, staff and volunteers are patient, compassionate, friendly and kind. The nurses take their time, and are so thorough. I love it here!
S Ewing (Bettie Stiletto): Did I go to a different place from everyone else? I had a terrible experience, traumatizing. The website is a big lieThe volunteers were great, the nurse practitioner was beastly. I was raped, I wanted to see about a rash I'd gotten, and she acted as if I was a huge inconvenience, as if she didn't like me from the start. She looked at the rash, said "It's not scabies, it could be bed bugs but it doesn't really look like that either. sorry I can't help you" "Uh well, where do I go? "You can try the walk in clinic down the street" I ended up standing on the street outside in tears. I thought this was a clinic for women's health, silly me. I wouldn't travelled a half an hour had I known I'd be better off going to the walk in clinic a block away from me.
danielle graves: I'm from the USA and have been to this location three times and received excellent care from the Nurse Practitioners at no cost. If only we had a place clean, friendly and free like this in my country.
Anya Torina: Amazing places where people care for you, fast service, professional nurses
Little Bear: Highly recommended. Better than any walk in clinic I've been as here they want to help and treat you genuinely. The Nurse Practitioner is very attentive, competent and helpful. Thanks for all your help Vancouver Women's Health Collective!
THERESA Gray: THANK YOU !

Business type: Pregnancy care center

Crisis Pregnancy Centre: what do users think?
Stephanie Yip: *Absolutely Avoid!* This is a Pro-Life Clinic disguising itself as a clinic that “profoundly cares for women in crisis”. I went here to ask for a simple pregnancy test and it took more than an hour including a “30 minute pre-test” consultation specifically highlighting the negative effects I would have to endure from the various types of abortion methods available. Following this they made me sit in a room with a nurse with a 10 minute timer to wait for my test results to show while she asked me about what I would do of it came back positive. (we all know those tests are incredibly quick. There’s a reason she wouldn’t let me look at the test when K asked 2 minutes in). This was meant to be a scare tactic. -Absolutely traumatizing - Disgusting with the “volunteers” that were running it.
Roshnie Kabir: I am so grateful for the wonderful women that work at this centre and the guidance and support they provided me during a difficult and stressful pregnancy. I found myself in an unexpected crisis situation last year and was also new to Vancouver. I contacted various pregnancy resources and the CPC were the only ones to respond in a timely and friendly manner and with no judgement towards my unusual situation. I would not have been able to get through my predicament with such strength and positivity without Lydia, Celeste and Gianna - they are some of the most kind hearted souls, and my newborn and I are so grateful to have met them, and be part of the community of moms and babies that this centre helps nurtures.
Abigail West: This fake clinic does NOT provide comprehensive reproductive health care—or much of any "health care" at all! Instead, they use phony ads to trick pregnant people into making an appointment, promising “free ultrasounds” or “pregnancy support.” Once inside, people are lied to, shamed, and pressured about their reproductive health decisions, often delaying their procedure or pushing them past the deadline for a legal abortion altogether. DISGUSTING!!! This is a ANTI-ABORTION pro Christian business taking advantage of people in their most vulnerable time. The only thing il be praying for is for the demise of this vile place.
krismay chua: They are very accommodating and friendly .
Jelly Bean: The women working there were nice but...I went there in mid-late 2020 (I think), I thought I could be pregnant and I went there to get a pregnancy test, and lived nearby. I had 2 women in the room with me as one woman was being trained. I was given a form to fill out where I was asked to provide my religion?? I thought that was weird but I was already there. I thought it would be a quick stop, but the appointment probably took 45 minutes all in all, with the actual pregnancy test portion taking less than 5 minutes. I was asked a series of questions about my religion (again), career, family, my relationships, etc., And I understand that their centre is there for support, but I thought it was weird that I was being grilled before even knowing if I was pregnant. The girl asked me what I would do if the test came back positive, and I responded honestly that I would get an abortion, and that opened up another series of questions about why I would do that, and if my family supported me, etc. Luckily the test was negative, but they still gave me a bunch of brochures really going hard on the psychological negatives of abortion and resources etc. For services I for sure did not need. While I do believe places like this could be helpful, and I'm happy to see so many people on their pregnancy journeys getting help, I couldn't have booked it out of there sooner. I felt extremely uncomfortable about the line of questioning, and I felt like the interrogation should have started after I knew if I was pregnant or not. I just got this feeling of uneasiness. Maybe it was the person in the room with me, I'm not sure what. Once she actually started the pregnancy test, I was filled with sudden anxiety - not about the possibility of being pregnant, but about how the women would react if I was, considering I'd just said that I would get an abortion. I moved on pretty quickly, but passed by there again yesterday and felt compelled to write something. If someone from the business replies to this, obviously this isn't my real name and I won't post my real name for privacy reasons, but I really did go there and pee in a cup in your bathroom. Your staff clearly have good bedside manners and are kind, but I think it would be worth re-evaluating the appointment process and line of questioning. I'm sure there are a lot more timid women than me who would feel more anxious about it all... And please stop asking about religion. If there really is no anti-abortion or religious angle to your services, I would really refrain from bringing that up. If you have changed your process since then, I'm happy to hear it.
Bree: After having multiple phone calls with a couple different people at this center I left feeling unheard for the unique health struggle I am facing. The name Crisis pregnancy center is misleading as I am in crisis and need support from folks who will not coerce me to make an unsafe decision. My experience sharing my storey with folks at the Crisis pregnancy center left me feeling depressed, unheard and alone. I do not recommend this to anyone who is seeking support to make a life changing decision. There are other options and I offer anyone who wants non judgemental pro choice support to reach out to me. I will share the other supports I have found that have been helpful. Supports that do not use their own personal values to guide the direction of the conversation.
kondam padma: This was the first place we approached on pursuing, learning and confirming our pregnancy. Lydia was absolutely fantastic in providing us all the resources we needed to embark on a great unprecedented journey. Kudos to all the team who have directly/indirectly helped and supported us.Definitely recommend this place for a great Start on pregnancy. All the best !
Charvine Adl: At a time when our family was going through a crisis that threatened to break it up, this organization provided options and support that saved the life of a child and preserved the life of a young mother. If you find yourself pregnant and in need of help, you will find it here.
Livia: My friend committed s. post abortion. She was 23, beautiful, always dreamed of being a mom but pro abortion voices friends were Louder, convinced her she did not have too, because she was confused… So as you can see they are here attacking this place that offer ANOTHER side for women and that is so evil! (even MEN are attacking this place, but hey how convenient for them, right?) they aren’t for women rights because they want women only to have their option). Not all women wants to k—l their child, so places like this are important! It’s women rights have the pro life option too! Not all that are confuse are lost. Please help them to keep doing their work! They don’t only save children lives, but women lives too. Now my story: they helped me when I was going from 1 to 2, and I wasn’t sure if I could handle 2 kids so young. They reached me out even on Christmas week to deliver a gift for me and my kids. Amazing place if you’re confused about which way you will go! There’s hope!
Matt Audibert: Lydia was awesome and super helpful for my wife and I as we are navigating pregnancy for the first time. We didn’t feel pressured one way or another. I don’t know why people have a problem with not being an abortion clinic, it’s not advertising that at all. It’s a great place if you need resources, support groups, options on what to do. Will recommend to any friends and family going through pregnancy
Gillian Hinton: I went for a test at the centre, and I was not sure what to expect! I was nervous, but felt comfortable from the few conversations I'd had on the phone with both ladies who answered. I then showed up for my appointment which they could book me for within the week, and I was so pleasantly and kindly met. I had an hour long session where I got to talk about what was going on in my life, and why I was there, and felt compassion and empathy and no judgement. I was able to see all my options with no external pressure! After my session, I was offered to come back and discuss my life more if I wanted to talk about my relationship or just come back for more support. I wish all hospitals and ladies centres were met with the same love and accommodation that the Crisis Pregnancy Centre provides. A place you'll be met with support and connection, and no pressure for you choices :)
Emilie Kraft: A safe place to come as you are and receive neutral, non-judgmental, confidential, cost-free, emotional / practical support, and care. Great staff... honestly great people. Super approachable and genuine. Not a medical facility and doesn't pretend to be one. This center exists to be a safe place for anyone facing any circumstances including crisis situations and unexpected pregnancies (no matter what you choose). They're there to listen and support you. They can also help you find other help and services in the community through like support groups, classes, hospital programs, housing, and material support. This place is truly a gem in our community!
Varietà: A sense of community. A place you can come to talk, receive support, and/or help from people who genuinely care about others with no strings attached.
FARIA HASAN: This place is amazing and the people over there are very amicable and wonderful......They are very helpful and very caring....Its a very good option for those pregnant women who has any kind of issues or complexity......Highly recommend this place....❤❤❤
J R: Im not sure why there is such a low rating for this place. They have been wonderfully supportive throughout my pregnancy. They check up often. Always willing to talk about any problems you might be having, as well as offering free zoom classes and donation like maternity clothing.
Deb Murray: How can anyone give a charitable organization that supports babies and mothers in need a one star review???
Sae Hyung Kim: They were super nice to us. Calls back frequently ti check up on us. Always happy to talk.
April Conchie: A place that profoundly cares for women in crisis.
Atticus Courtoreille: Yes this place is defiently targetted at vulnerable women who want an abortion to try and coax them into not having one. Do not go here if you are set on getting an abortion and dont wanna be persuaded not to follow through.I went here and stated I wanted to keep my baby and they never once followed up with me after or let me access resources.
M: Very poor service. Disappointing. Won't be back.
Laura Cake: Lovely staff, warm and friendly

Vancouver Options for Sexual Health Clinic: what do users think?
Amanda Fentiman: A very sweet and understanding doctor answered all my questions about STI testing and treatment
L M: They have no appointment ever available and when you try to call you sit listening to a 4 minute voice recording to have it hang up on you with 0 options. Completely useless, not sure when BC/Canada funds a place like this that doesn’t offer any support
Veronika Mova: The specialists in the clinic are excellent! But 4 stars because it was such a challenge to find the entrance (clinic works after 6, but the entrance is closed, so you need to go through another one, and the map is confusing). Also, it took a while to make an appointment.

Vancouver General Hospital: Women's Clinic: what do users think?
Erin Westbury: My doctor sent them a referral. They declined the referral but did not contact my doctor about this decline. I ended up calling the clinic myself to find out it was declined. Have been waiting weeks for a response. Very disappointed and very unprofessional.
Gary Beka: Just always been treated very nice workers are caring never bad experience ....had double lung transplant.nov 29th got out aug 21st have no issues. Go to vgh for testing and workers r great !!!!
Claire M: Great experience at the the clinic for procedures, all nurses I dealt with in person were caring, informative, and efficient. My low rating is due to how I received my results. I have only ever communicated with doctors here via my personal phone number for the last two years. However, they must have an outdated number included on my records somewhere, which is a family member’s number. They called that number, reached a voicemail, and left a message with the full and explicit details of the results of my tests - To the wrong number.I understand that dialling the wrong number happens, but to leave the full details of the results on a voicemail is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. If results are going to be given over the phone, please ensure you are speaking to the patient. This is so upsetting, and a massive violation of my privacy. My hope is that this review can serve as a reminder to anyone at the clinic that needs to hear it, to be much more mindful of how you are delivering results, and to whom.
Dani: Nurses are very friendly and helpful
Fraser Valley Homes Sales: Waiting for over an hour so far.. not even a magazine to be found! Bring something to do while you wait because you wont even find an old newspaper here.
Vikram S: Excellent Hospital and very kind and friendly staff who take care of you in a professional manner.

WestCoast Women's Clinic: what do users think?
joel abells: Absolutely atrocious. Dr Van den berg has canceled 3 appointments dating back to July. Left me with no refills for prescriptions and was not available to sign for emergency renewals
Tracey Hirsch: I was extremely disappointed in my experience at Westcoast Women's. I didn't get the holistic health assessment I had expected (and as other reviewers experienced) and the recommendations would have made sense for most people (more yoga, less sugar, for example). Other issues: I mentioned low libido and I was told to read a book. I'd been experiencing anxiety and depression so filled out the assessment forms and nobody followed up! The doctor I saw was distracted during the initial meeting which was on video and the health coach didn't have any value to add to my experience at all. I avoided posting this review for about a year because I didn't want to be too reactionary. But just today I had reason to look up the report they gave me for which I paid $1200 and I was reminded of how terrible the experience was. Way too much spent for way too little provided. If you use this clinic be sure you know what you want to achieve and be specific about it with the clinic before spending so much money. I certainly regret it.
H: Very expensive and only interested in helping wealthy women.
Deirdre O'Brien: I regularly recommend the WestCoast Women's Clinic without reservation. The expert care I received at the Clinic helped me navigate a confusing and challenging time and contributed to building resilience I would otherwise not have.
Birdie B: West Coast Women's Clinic has been pivotal in my health journey. Excellent care and well-informed staff.
Alina Anapreitchik: Can’t say enough about the amazing doctors and staff at the clinic. They helped me survive menopause and saved my sanity and my marriage. The doctors are highly specialised in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, with nearly two decades of experience. They are extremely knowledgeable, kind and empathetic. It has been well worth the money for me and I’ve recommended them to so many people, as well as to doctors, so that they could refer their patients to them. I am so grateful for the treatment I received at the clinic.
Heidi Stokes: When I first walked through the doors of Westcoast Women’s Clinic I was 41 years old with 2 small children. I had not had regular periods since my 3 year old was born. Having no idea that it was possible that I was in menopause, I was totally surprised to find that all of my symptoms were easily explained by the fact that I was ahead of the commonly projected timing of this event. Toddlers and menopause! Obtaining the right balance of hormones changed my world!! My doctors were thorough, patient and a wealth of information. I am so relieved to have found them.
Sheila Sutherland: I finally found doctors that would listen to what I was intuitively feeling in my body and were able to get tests to prove that. I will be forever grateful for finding this clinic and how my work with them has positively impacted my health. Thank you thank you thank you! 🙏
Carol Vincent: Love these people! I've never been so thoroughly assessed, treated, and holistically supported in my life. Dr. Dhawal is extremely knowledgeable and explains the rationale for everything she recommends or prescribes. Sharon holds me accountable for mindfulness practice and healthy eating. Highly recommend!
Kim Janna: The 1 star goes to the AMAZING human who home delivered my urine kit after I was supposed to pick it up at the clinic on a certain date VERY specific to my cycle but couldn't because the clinic didn't answer the door after telling me to come that day. The ONLY person there I can appreciateAs for the rest of my experienceI first called WCWC because of CRIPPLING neuropathy after hearing that in some RARE cases Perimonopause can lead to neuropathy.I was told that to do the 24 hour urine sample to check my hormones it would be $1200 (No mention that a naturopath will do the same test for around $500 without all the added appointments) That SHOULD have been an option. Before the results of my urine test came back I had my first virtual appt with a doctor (who has VERY LITTLE BEDSIDE MANNER), who was late for the appt and who didn't really have anything to say about it. (I get it... you're a doctor, you're VERY IMPORTANT, but guess what.. a little acknowledgment that I ALSO have things on the go could have gone a long way)The appt begins and the doctor tells me that she is "curious as to WHY I am coming to the WCWC if my issue is neuropathy because they mostly deal with Hormones" .... How about you read my file? Or is there not one?During this the doctor gave me a requisition for a blood test and some supplements to go get and at this point I still don't have my urine results so my thought process was that I want to wait to get my results before I invest in anything else (money or time wise)At some point I got an email with my urine results and I was excited to go over them with the doctor (Same doctor) in our next online appt.Today I jump on my appt call at 2:45 .on my phone.. and I wait.. and wait... then I figure.. I'll jump off and work while I wait (I run an instagram business that I need my phone to run) I get a phone call when she's ready wondering if I plan on jumping on the call? I tell her yes... I just figured I'd work while I wait... AGAIN.... ZERO ACKNOWLEDGMENT ON HER PART THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THINGS GOING ON....on the call.. she asked if i got my blood work done .... if I got the supplements... I explain to her why I didn't... She then asks if I have my results in front of me ( I have a paper and pen in front of me... ready to actively participate and take notes... ) but I tell her I don't have my results because they are on my phone via email and I'm using the phone to have a live chat with her.... SHE GAVE ME AN EYEROLL THAT CAN ONLY BE COMPARED TO THAT OF AN ANGSTY 13 YEAR OLD GIRL) and said... Well you have a computer don't you?okay ... because we all have several devices yes? PRESUMPTUOUS MUCH ?Hire doctors that actually understand what it's like to struggle.. physically, financially... and emotionallyY'all can keep the money that I spent 6 months saving up , I AM NEVER sitting in front of that condescending doc againo
Anna Perry: My 2.5 year experience since 2016 with West Coast Women's Clinic (WCWC) on 4th Ave W has been the best service and treatment that I have received. I access both private clinics and public medical services so I have a basis of comparison for private clinics. Dr. Pawa cares about her patients. She conducts 1 hour initial appointments with 30 minute follow up appointments. Her tests and examinations are thorough, in depth. She follows up on the results of my tests. She always reads my chart in advance, so she is prepared. She always interviews me for up to date status on my health such as current mammogram, other ailments or treatments with my other doctors. She checks in with my GP if needed for my health. In 2016, when I was very critically ill, it was Dr. Pawa who picked up the signs of the illness and took steps to get me immediate help. My family GP of 8 years had ignored those symptoms for 18 months while my health worsened. I credit Dr. Pawa with saving my quality of life. My ailment was not in her specialty area but she CARED. She TOOK ACTION. Her front desk staff (3) are well trained and have always treated me with utmost professional courtesy and care for my circumstances. You can rely on the care, advice and service provided by WCWC based on my long term experience.
A AD: I am not being paid to write this review. I was very disappointed. First the doctor was nice and I showed some improvement. As time went on and my case proved to be more challenging she lost patience. Her strategies did not work and I plateaued. I felt rushed most of the time. She often said how many minutes she had for me. Yes, the receptionist is unfriendly and unhelpful. I paid for full service, incuding the one year follow up. Was not worth it. If you are on the "wait list" consider yourself lucky. Take the time and find a good naturopath like Dr. Jennifer Luis.
Jane: Poor customer service. Walked into this clinic a few months ago and asked the older receptionist for more information about services they can provide for women with PCOS and she insisted I just go onto their website to find out & focused on the fact it was a private clinic and not covered by extended health plans. Defeats the whole purpose of having a front desk person to welcome/acquaint potential new clients to their services when you're standing face to face with them and they tell you to look it up yourself online. I'm sure their doctors are wonderful, but I can't say the same for their snobby receptionists. As a HCP myself, I will not be referring anyone to this clinic.
s banic: I visited different clinic before, and nobody else was able to help.Fantastic experience. No wonder they have a long waiting list, but it's absolutely worth it.
Kate Potter: DR Janet Franiac is the best doctor I have ever had. She is caring, thoughtful, concerned, knows science, knows how to communicate science and can make you laugh even when you feel at your very worst. I came to the clinic in complete disarray. I am back! My normal fierce, bold and HAPPY self!!! The office is such a haven in a busy world. The staff are so helpful on the phone even in the fray of panic ( menopause has lots of these moments) Thanks for everything WCWC!
Majestic Ocean Kayaking: The answer to feeling like you're never going to figure out what's wrong with you. The pills from your other doctor that only create more problems; you can say goodbye to them. The uncomfortable out of control symptoms can stop. You can feel better physically, emotionally and mentally. Feel incontrol of your life again and feel like your life is clear and that you are winning! My Dr. at the westcoast womens clinic is so knowledgeable and thorough, I am getting alot of support and I am excited about sharing my experience with others. My friend told me about the Westcoast Womens Clinic, I am so thankful and now I am telling as many people as I can. If you're suffering, its the only way that you will end it. They do short seminars a few evenings every month its covered on your medical plan, this is where you could start.
Brenda Shaw: About 2 years ago, I had had severe menopause symptoms to the point I could barely work. I would sweat through my clothes every 20 minutes and was not able to get even 2 hours sleep at night. I would break into tears over nothing. My GP was useless and totally insensitive to my condition. I also tired 2 different naturalpaths and their herbs did no good at all. Thank goodness for the west coast womens's clinic. They saved me. Dr Pawa is a kind compassionate doctor and within a couple days of getting treatment I was feeling like a new person. I have been going back now for 2 years and would highly recommend them to anyone having hormonal problems or adrenal fatigue.Thank you West Coast Women's Clinic for giving me my life back.
Heidi Henderson: If you have adrenal fatigue or are pre or post menopausal, these doctors are the best. Thorough, thoughtful and they truly listen and meet your needs. Highly recommend!
