Disability Alliance BC: what do users think?
Wyatt C: They're in such a hurry to get off the phone so all they are is just a money grab to keep themselves employed and do the bare minimum
la indomable: Unfortunately my experience was disappointing staff didn't listen to my particular needs I'd live to expose her name hwvr i will keep that private. She made a lot of assumptions made me wait for several months yet didn't help to no evail very disappointed 😞 wasted my time due to her luck of listening abilities which later cast me my sanity.
Patrick McIntosh: Don't get your taxes done with these people.I've been waiting almost 2 months. They don't keep appointments, they take to long to respond. There are serious errors on my taxes and they can't be filed. Their incompetence is overwhelming. They may offer free services, but at what cost?
David Ames: 1it's cruel to have an organization that purports to help vulnerable people; but they are simply unable to contact. It's not honourable and you need to shut down.
sunkissed heart: I agree with the negative reviews. This place is downright horrible and the employees are extremely rude and unhelpful. Dealing with them has taken a tremendous toll on my mental health. Plus they don't return emails or voice-mail. Good luck trying to get a hold of anyone. The sad part is that there is no one person in charge so nobody to complain to. I guess they know that they are unshakeable and can get away with all kinds of misbehavior. Fyi, never deal with Willow. She is a toxic toxic woman. Very mean and just not a nice person. In short, this place is the worst organization for anyone struggling with poverty and mental health.
Lady Wicked187: I spoke with the receptionist there's only three things that they help with and that's also I thought that's why I only gave one start I asked her to list off the stop that they help with and they only help with three things
Kevin Simmons: Horrible! Was told by the very rude and unprofessional receptionist that I would have to wait for up to 15 months just to get an appointment with a disability advocate, and when I tried to explain that was not an option, she hung up on me and my calls blocked. Disgusting!
Neal Sheppard: they helped me get approved for PWD
Indoor Cycling Page: Very dishonest. They claim to help those with disabilities but only help far left causes. They don't even help the disabled file their taxes. They only have one person offering income tax service to a city of over a million people. This way they can at least advertise they help the disabled with income tax. Meanwhile hundreds of disabled people are turned away
Carmen Wong: I've always had a good experience with disability alliance until yesterday. I called and left a voice mail. A woman called me back shortly and asked me what my questions are and she said maybe she can answer some of them. Throughout the phone call, she was taking deep sighs and it seemed like she didn't want to take the time to answer my questions and talk to me. She seemed annoyed and didn't want to help or talk on the phone with me. Towards the end of the call, I needed to ask one final question, so I said, "wait, I have one more question." She took a deep sigh like she really didn't want to be on the phone and answered my questions. After I asked my final question, she very quickly said ok thank you for calling disability alliance. Have a good day. And she hung up. It was like she didn't want to talk to me and help me. She wanted to get off the phone as soon as possible. I was upset after the phone call. I didn't get the information I needed. In the past when I've called, I always got to talk to an advocate. The woman I spoke with yesterday wasn't an advocate and didn't send my contact information to an advocate. I really want to speak to an advocate and not the woman who called me back. I feel like she didn't give me accurate information and she certainly didn't want to be on the phone with me. Is there a way I can talk to an advocate but bypass this woman? I think she might be the receptionist returning people's phone calls. Thanks
mike christie: It's helped me a great deal up to this tax season my speaker on my webcam wouldn't work I couldn't make my tax meeting and I haven't been able to rebook even though I did online but it's a great place and they've helped me a lot.
Renée LaFlam: This organization is a MUST if applying for disability benefits with the Ministry of Social Development. Anyone I speak with there is incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate. They will even help you with the appeal process if, for some reason, your application is denied. Thank you for your public service!
Katie H: Never calls back or emails. Otherwise nice people
Christina Jenks: Its impossible to get answers from the advocate Ashley. Perhaps there is another advocacy that replies to people? This is Ludacris! It's been 3 months since I have written this review and STILL not one answer, not one phone call... this advocacy doesn't care.USELESS ADVOCACY. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME...
Michael: Extremely helpful organization for persons with disabilities and their family members. Navigating the provincial and federal requirements for access to services is very difficult and DABC is a wonderful organization that really helps people.I noticed that there are some pretty negative reviews and hope that people realize that those negative reviews may be written by people who are extremely frustrated with the obstacles in place that prevent persons with disabilities from accessing critical support benefits. The Disability Alliance advocates for those with disabilities and tries to improve access to benefits and lobbies the government for better benefits and reduction of poverty. Their organization is not perfect and they have limited funding and resources, but they are trying to help those with disabilities and provide support and advice. They made a huge difference to my family and helped a lot with navigating the obstacles that prevent access to disability benefits. They provided all services to us for no cost. The information and pamphlets on their website were extremely helpful and informative. As a free support organization, expect long delays for appointments or responses as they have large backlogs and waitlists.
Lyme Life With Stanley Peacock & Jj: Never helpful unless its helping them
Vicky Butt: I can't get a hold of anyone at this business!!!! Keeps ringing then says mailbox is full! 😞
Selina Rittenhouse: Do they even answer their phones, ive been calling for 4 weeks.
Nas Ham: I'm dismayed to share for such a crucial organization, there seems to be a lot of DISorganization. Really disappointing cross-servicing contracts for tax season. The person that they contracted out who had previously worked for the CRA was in a rush to meet their contract deadline, was clearly exhausted, and extremely rude. Poor communication, was unable to actually acquire tax assistance services directly from their tax team.
Tom Colclough: I was diagnosed with acute leukemia last May. My doctor sent a letter of grievant need of disability to Service Canada and I did the paperwork and received a response saying I would begin receiving disability payments in July. I waited several months and phoned Service Canada in November and they said it would be coming in 2 weeks. Nothing. In December I contacted Disability Alliance B.C. and left a message. I received a response in February that gave me a website address. When I accessed the website it offered me options on how I could advertise on their website. I never received any help from them in any way.
gord fisher: Can never get through, phone line always says the mailbox is full and there is no way to tell them. This is who the government recommended.

Tim Louis & Company Law Firm: what do users think?
Stevie Artemenko: Tim and his team were excellent. He helped me understand the idiosyncrasies of a discretionary trust and preparing a will for my adult children and special needs son. He was always very prompt in answering my emails and questions which I very much appreciated! I would definitely recommend Tim and his team.
marlene javra: I reached out to Tim Louis after hearing his ad on CKNW radio. I was despondent and confused after a great monetary loss I'd suffered at the hands of my insurance carrier who'd denied my claim. My first contact with Tim and his assistant srarted the healing process....first he gave comfort quickly followed by strength and confidence. After 2 years (covid) im very happy to say we've received the full settlement.THANK-YOU Tim and your wonderful staff for all your care and hand-holding through such a life altering event
Bethany: Mr. Louis was a great help to me in my situation. He answered my questions in a way that made me feel both seen and understood. I felt confident after speaking with him, as I am now equipped with the information I needed, and no longer unsure and unaware of what was most important to prioritize in my situation. I reached out to multiple lawyers prior to speaking with Mr. Louis, but none of them could assist me. I highly recommend Tim Louis Law, and if I ever have any legal matters in the future, I will contact him right away!
Sandra Kothlow: I retained Tim Louis as my lawyer about 6 years ago after a brain injury through negligence. It was a very difficult time for me. I found Tim and his team to be very kind and took the time to explain things to me so I understood. This was sometimes quite a task I’m sure. I recommend Tim completely to get results and make the process as pleasant as possible. This is a team that actually cares about their clients.
Kings Hillbilly: A colleague who specializes in Labour Relations recommended Tim Louis to me. I reached out to Tim and his telephone and email responses were extremely responsive and he answered my questions with professionalism and very promptly.
narda bongalis: Always professional and excellent
Lana Grosse: I chose Tim and his team after talking to several lawyers and am glad I did. I appreciated their responsiveness and helpfulness, and especially the knowledgeable and honest advice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or to use them again.
Joe Bradley: Tim and his staff were great to work with. They were organized and thorough giving us crystal clear explanations and an accurate overview of the probate process and our roles as executors. They were accessible, personable and helpful.Together they made what can be an emotionally wrought situation, the death of a loved one, much easier for both of us.
Roopam Randhawa: Excellent and highly experienced lawyer. Tim made my case so easy and I’m so glad that I choose him as my lawyer. Highly recommended
Lindsay Graham: Surly and super patronizing. Zero people skills and unpleasant to talk to after 1 or minutes.
Kevin Ip: Tim kindly assisted me with an employment issue during his own holiday vacation time, returning my inquiry on the same day and providing great advice while asking for nothing in return. Right from my first call with him, I could sense immediately his passion for fighting the good fight and stopping corporations from taking advantage of the little guy. While I hope I don't have any employment issues in the future, if I do, then Tim will be my go to guy without question. Highly recommended.
Avery Timm: Tim Louis has been a huge help for me! He and his staff go above and beyond for their clients, I highly recommend him.
Ata BASARAN: I normally don't leave any reviews, but Tim and his team deserve one. This is the best-ever interaction I have ever had with a legal professional. Tim has been very kind, responsive and very helpful, understanding my needs and finding the best possible solution. I recommend his services to anyone who is in need of a lawyer who is ready to listen and get things done right. Many thanks, Tim & team; we will be in touch.
Brian Black: Tim is professional, courteous, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. He provided me with excellent advice and I would highly recommend him as a personal injury lawyer.
Krystal: Tim and his team are nothing short of AMAZING!!! He was the ONLY lawyer that would help me out in this situation. He helped me out immensely when I wasn’t treated right dealing with ICBC! Even though my case occurred after the insurance change to “Enhanced Care,” he still wanted to help me out and advocate for my treatments and benefits. He is a very kind and selfless person who will demand nothing but the best for you and fight tooth and nail for what you deserve! Thank you so much Tim, and team, for ALL your help and time!
Ty: Professional and courteous law practice.
Jean Swanson: I asked Tim to do my will. Great service Thanks so much Tim. Highly recommend.
Karl: Hello, I found Tim online after going through about 15 Lawyers, searching for one that was going to work for me and not just their pocket book. Most of the previous Lawyers were not returning calls, not answering questions about my case. There were high retainer fees before even starting my case and even then it seemed as they were trying to drag out the fight instead of solving the problem. I am a professional and that is what I was searching for, was a professional. This what you get with Tim Louis and Company, professionalism. Helpful and polite staff that back him up and work the same way. Tim gets on with the problem and calls you back when there's needed information from you and there is no time wasting or bs. Tim is the real deal and in my opinion the best Lawyer in Lower Mainland and if any the best in Canada. Great Job and I will definitely recommend anyone to Tim Louis and Company. Thank you Tim.
Daniel Jolivet: Tim responded to my concerns promptly and professionally. I would highly recommend Tim to anyone looking for legal services.
Don Sinclair: Tim has been our lawyer for more than 30 years and I have nothing but praise for the exceptional services he and his firm have provided. Furthermore, without exception, his staff have been most pleasant and extremely helpful in their dealings with us.
Arts: Mr Tim Louis was amazing to work with, Mr Tim received the top BC Law award, the Harry Rankin QC Pro Bono Award. The staff: Karolina, Krista and Mamie was extremely professional, friendly, nice & polite. They answered all my questions and always kept me informed. Mr Tim did everything he said he would. I was extremely happy with my settlement and the time it took. They really did an amazing job! I was very pleased with Tim Louis law firm and would recommend to anyone who needs a personal injury lawyer. Thank you Mr Tim Louis and team 🙏

Developmental Disabilities Association: what do users think?
Stansha 2013: Hi there Sharon’s jerriha iam Stansha sister
M Cooper: I would not work in Residential Services. Upper management is incompetent. The style of management is to bepunitive, judgmental and to use intimidation.
Cindy Cameron: I would NEVER EVER recommend this organization, they are VERY unreliable and unprofessional!!!! Im moving/ downsizing and as a result had several boxes and bags of household items and clothing. I got in touch with DDA online and they got back to me right away, We set up a day for them to come by, at that time I gave them my address, told them it was a townhouse and because I couldn’t leave everything outside I took the day off work and made sure they knew to knock on the door to collect the items. They called me at 2:00 the day of pick up and canceled, I was upset but booked for them to come the following Saturday, at that time I confirmed address and knocking on my door, they called on Friday to confirm and again I reminded them of address and knocking on the door. Saturday is here, 2:30 I get a call from someone I lived beside 20 yrs ago saying that a DDA truck had just showed up at my old address from 20yrs ago looking to pick up from CCamerom. What the hell! How could they get it sooo wrong and wouldn’t you think they would phone the number I gave them to get the RIGHT address???? I think they need to take a good hard look at how the DDA is run and fix it, from looking at the other reviews Im not the boy person unhappy with their service.
Candice Newberry: Fantastic organisation.
Oz Media: Finally a TRULY non profit clothing donation collection. Many others, like SPCA thrift stores etc., are privately operated, 'for' profit businesses which only have to donate a very small portion of money raised toward their chosen charity. DDA is completely nonprofit, seeing all money go straight to the cause, the way they all should be.
Erin Terry: A non profit organization
Francis Ng: They take clothing and book as donations.

Kickstart Disability Arts & Culture: what do users think?
Big Chlebowski: Very Rude employee behaviour. Your staff member Kait Blake, who represents herself as an employee of your organization, attacked a local artists business maliciously, leaving a fake negative review, and encouraged others to do the same. If this is who you choose to employ, and represent your organization publicly, it doesn't say much about your organization, in my opinion.
isabella roosevelt: The most wonderful and caring people you will find in all of Vancouver. They work so hard and add such value to our community
H Johnson: Kickstart is such an incredible program, with incredibly inclusive staff that are so kind and a beacon of positivity and love in our community. We need more places like Kickstart, and we need more people like the wonderful staff that work there!
b mo: Terrible
Pam Cook: I know firsthand that this business hires some of the most inclusive, kind, and fantastic people around.
Lucian Wolfe: I'm impressed by Kickstart Disability Arts & Culture's commitment to supporting and promoting artists who identify as living with a disability. Their dedication to inclusivity is truly inspiring, and I appreciate the impact they have on the wider community.
Danielle Haslip: Wonderful and inclusive programming, with a heavy importance on accessibility. Amazing workshops, opportunities and connections through multiple disciplinary art forms.
