Dr. Amber Eckel: CrossFit 604 has been my home away from home for more than 5 years. I absolutely love the coaches & members. Dai “Coach Moose” Manuel: CrossFitBC is hands down the best CrossFit gym community in Vancouver! The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, and they create a welcoming and supportive environment that makes you want to come back day after day. The programming is challenging but scalable, so whether you're a beginner or an experienced athlete, you'll always get a great workout that pushes you to your limits. And most importantly, the community here is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and supportive, and it really feels like a family. If you're looking for a gym where you can challenge yourself, learn new skills, and be a part of a supportive community, CrossFitBC is the place to be!
Tristan Tran: I did open gym only - I was looking for a gym where I could do my own program, with good olympic bars, bumper plates, and that was never too crowded. I love that you have to book time in advance to work out because it means you’re never waiting for equipment, and it forces you to block out time in your calendar and go (you can’t procrastinate).Staff is friendly, and there’s more of a community vibe than big box gyms - but it doesn’t feel fake and overly friendly. I never did the CrossFit classes - but they look well by dope and approachable coaches.

Mayara xxx: As a person who never exercised, starting CrossFit was a bit scary but once I found Crossfit BC I saw how amazing this is. Starting the foundation class is absolutely necessary if you never did CrossFit. Ellie was my coach and she taught everything I needed and explained to me in a way that was easy to understand and keep motivated. The classes are amazing, and the coaches really follow up with you and see if you are doing everything correctly. The place is very welcoming and I feel very safe. Sophie and Troy (the owners) are always there with a smile and you feel part of the CrossFit family. Shoutout to Jason - great coach!

Tiana Ewing: I've been to many crossfit/functional fitness gyms over the last few years and this one is absolutely amazing. They offer group crossfit an open gym membership that is super flexible and accommodating. I went with the open gym option but despite this, I still feel a real sense of community and support. Also, as someone with a little more experience, I'm used to getting little to no feedback from coaches, but the coaches here are super helpful and have given me little tips that have helped me! You can tell they really care about your sucess.There's lots of equiptment, space and the gym is clean. I just moved to the area two weeks ago forward to many more sessions here :)

JD C: Real talk time. In the last 6 months, they have silently removed 10am and 330pm classes. They’ve cancelled classes with no notice to host a third party workshop rather than running it outside gym hours or reducing hours.They had also quietly removed afternoon open gym times. When asked about it, they deleted and disabled commenting. After promising there will be no afternoon closures in the new year, it was announced the gym will be closed daily 2-3pm for "lunch break". There are seperate morning, noon and evening coaches who just leave when they're done. Could other staff not take lunch when the coaches are there?The gym has a no pets policy due to safety concerns yet the owner’s dog is allowed to roam around the workout space freely… Double standard much?I have seen many long time members leave and even actively recruit others to join them. The gym owners seem to care little about building community, valuing their members or supporting their staff. I rarely see them interact with the students. Thanks to others, I already know where to go next.

I love the time flexibility for open gym and class times. This place has motivated me to workout regularly, which I never did growing up! Sophie and Max are fantastic to work with. 🐶
Marcela Moreira: I've been trying to get myself moving for the last years with no success or very little of it. I find working out by myself in a conventional gym pretty boring so the discipline it'd require of me is simply non-existent. After a great recommendation from a friend I decided to give CeossFit a try and it was love at first sight! The ppl are very welcoming and friendly, you undoubtedly will get motivated with them cheering for you and giving you tips of how to improve, and I felt looked after at all times, being told to take my time to get up to speed as well as get better with the technique. Alexandra L: I came to CFK without previous athletic background and wanting to find a community which can support me in building a more active lifestyle. And I found exactly just that. You have to take mandatory foundation classes which gave you solid movements foundation that can be applied beyond the classes. I did my intro with Iker who provided great insights to my body movements and always has your back in every class. Even for a beginner like me, the movements are scalable and I could see my progression within 6-8 months after my first visit. While COVID restricted some of the more social aspects of the gym compared to normal, I still find that the people you meet in class truly roots for you (which goes a long way when you feel like giving up).I cannot recommend this place enough for everyone, no matter what kind of fitness goals you are looking for. You’ll find the workout energizing and fun (though hard), as well as a supportive community of coaches and attendees.
Matt Wende: This place is like a second home to me. I enjoy the workouts, but I look forward to going because of the friends I’ve made there. Small classes means you get more attention from instructors, and after a while they know when to push you and when your giving your all.

I joined with the goal of keeping active and learning something new, but I soon realized the strong sense of community and friendship that's formed at this box.The owner is passionate about CFK and very friendly. He did a great job in making changes in response to the recent pandemic and social environment. He really went a long way to keep members engaged during the lockdown and to continuously improve the class offerings and schedules. All of the coaches are also fantastic. They are extremely knowledge and very engaged in helping and motivating everyone during the class. The coaches are definitely what makes the difference in a class.I highly recommend this box for anyone interested in joining CrossFit!

I'm a middle-aged guy with a lot of responsibility for aging parents, teenage kids and people I care for where I work. But regardless of how difficult life gets, I can always count on a great workout, lots of laughs with a community of friends and a freeing of my mind from the burdens of life.

J Sior: I started private training with the owner after my doctors ordered me to start working out, following confirmation ofTraumatic Brain Injury. He was patient and understood that he would have to tell me over and over again the technique or the exercises because my memory was zero and my brain would forget and in shut down mode. I literally could not do a flow without him telling me what came next. So he has the patience to deal with anyone if he could deal with me in recovery from TBI and Neck Compression. I then had to take a break due to major shoulder injury sustained on my return to work and even though I’m still recovering 10 months later, I have rebounded and he has tailored sessions for me specifically to ensure that we don’t over do it, or that I don’t need manipulation and that I keep good form. He went out of his way to do major research to teach me different movements, alignment techniques and explains when to push me through an exercise. But more importantly HE LISTENS - he respects that I know my body just as well and when I say I need to take it slow or it feels off and we suddenly have switch up the routine he does no questions asked. I’m in recovery and even though we are increasing progress, he is my number cheerleader. Reminding me to strong mentally first and physically second.So even though they are well known for #crossfit they really do private training even more and #functionalbodybuilding is just as hard as CrossFit and perfect for those with injuries and mobility issues.

I had two amazing coaches, the programming is spot on, the gym is clean, neat, and spacious, and it seems that the members are a really tight and supportive community. I had a blast and will surely come back to Dynasty whenever I am back in town!

Chris Tickell: Dynasty Gym has been the best gym experience I've ever had. The star's of the show are the trainers and the programming. Incredibly knowledgeable and will push you yet take the time to get to know you, create community and make it fun. I've brought friends from other crossfit gyms and they've all said the programming here is the best. On top of the the community of athletes are fantastic. A full range of abilities and an extremely friendly and supportive vibe makes this gym an incredibly inclusive community no matter your skill or capability. Lastly there's always great playlists, the trainers show a lot of modifications and the gym is generally well taken care of, with new equipment being brought in often. I fear the day I might have to move away and can't keep coming here!

So I found Dynasty Gym, and today it's been one month since I started taking CrossFit classes, and honestly, I feel at home. The location is excellent! The gym itself is spacious and class sizes are never too big—great option if you want to work out in a group but still have one-on-one attention from someone who is genuinely invested in your progress. Couldn’t recommend more!

Coach Jenika is a badass coach who is patient and encouraging and she will take your athletic abilities to places you never thought you would get to!

Marick Shakespeare: Westside Training was the last gym that I visited when I moved into the area, and it definitely was best for last! After seeing the facility and meeting coach Jenika I knew that this was the gym for me. Not only was it COVID-19 safe but Jenika also had such a warm presence, with years of experience. I joined into classes right away and was so warmly welcomed by all the members, no matter what class time I attended. All the coaches are very knowledgeable, and have the ability to modify movements if needed.After a couple of months of training at Westside, I spoke to Jenika about my goals, and she suggested I do the individualized programming, best decision I have made! Every week the programming was slightly varied but got me closer to reaching my fitness goals. Not only did Jenika focus on my fitness and movements but she also helped me with my nutrition, which has been a game-changer for my performance. I came out of 6 months individualized programming achieving many of my goals but also a more well-rounded athlete.Jenika has created a safe, fun space , with an amazing community of people. Kassie Harder: Everything about Raincity athletics is amazing, they really go over and above to make sure all of their members have a great experience. The coaching is fantastic, each and every coach there takes the time to make sure everyone understands the workout and the movements. The community is very welcoming and friendly, I love that they have events where we can get to know each other outside of our regular workout times. The response to covid restrictions has also been over and above, quickly adapting to the ever changing rules, keeping members updated and finding ways to make sure there are safe workout options, even during closures.

Tony Garcia: Empower Fitness is great for all ages. Members are supportive, and the coaches are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Classes are challenging, but if you are unable to do a particular exercise due to a precision injury, instructors provide an alternative exercise. If you enjoy group classes or one-on-one instruction, I recommend Empower Fitness.

The gym is soacious, well organized and well equipped. Shades 'Fit Over 40' are my favorite group classes.I switched to personal training few months ago to focus my recovery from an injury. My personal trainer Leon is an exceptional trainer. He is patient, designs workouts that work around my injury and strength in a safe way. In 1 session, he helped me get the skill for double unders and rope climb. Never thought I could. Super physced about it. Leon's coaching approach pushes me to get outside my comfort zone and helped boost my confidence. Thank you Leon & Empower!

The gym itself is well-equipped with everything you need to work up a sweat, and Leon is an incredibly patient, supportive, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and friendly coach -- training sessions are more like hanging out with a friend who just happens to be motivating me to work out! I never get bored or frustrated with my workouts, and anytime I'm struggling, Leon is right there to encourage me with a fist-bump :D I also really appreciate the time he takes to show me safe movements, and suggest at-home routines I can do with minimal equipment between our sessions. I haven't been to a group class yet, but the wider community at Empower seems super friendly, lots of smiles and waves as we cross paths. AM Inspire: I just started group training with Amy at CrossFit Empower (Alma & 4th Ave) on August 1st. What positive rewards I have felt and seen in only a month. The sessions combine dynamic strength training and intense cardio intervals that keep my heart rate up for the full hour. I’m energized for days that follow! I love the group atmosphere with Amy as our skilled and inspiring coach. Highly recommend this place and coach Amy.

Rahul Garg: I joined CrossFit Lions in late November 2018. I was in moderate shape at the time. But after three months of going there regularly with a 2 week break in December 2018, I reached a whole new level of flexibility in my hips and gained back, shoulder and leg strength. My body became way more chiseled and defined. I am now able to breath greater volumes of air through my nose rather than having to breath using my mouth while exercising. Almost got a four pack of abdominal muscles and have begun to use multiple muscle groups at once with proper coordination. Definitely the most functional form of working out and lots of endorphins to enjoy at the end of the workout.

Kyle Duske: I had an intense muscle spasm, and possible disk bulge, that left me walking on a cane for almost a week. I am a martial arts instructor so being immobilized like that was really hard. After just one RMT session Theron had me off my cane. It’s been a slow recovery and I still have a ways to go but I might still be hobbled over a cane if it wasn’t for Theron. I can’t recommend and thank Theron enough.

Sound Sculptor Recordings: An amazing, high quality gym with genuinely caring, motivating, fun and communicative staff. Most impressively, they use an integrated approach where trainers, physios, and nutritionists work together to help you reach your fitness goals . The physio and nutritionist initial visits are included in the sign up fee. Its the best quality you can find in a gym and the space has a really cool and modern design, but the vibe isn't pretentious. Matt was super friendly and really took the time to understand and evaluate my fitness goals and challenges.

Dee M: Dope gym! I’m so glad this place exists and I’m looking forward to attending as many classes as possible. Took the boxing class at 5:30pm (Amanda was the Instructor) and it was amazing. So challenging, but worth even sweat and tear. Bathrooms were clean and there are so many cool spaces around the gym. Also, they have a smoothie bar at the front that I didn’t have a chance to try.
Peter Pi: One of the funnest gym in town. STUDEO offers variety of classes for all levels. The coaches are knowledgeable and experienced at instructing. You can easily look at the weekly workouts via their Facebook page, as well as use the MINDBODY App to book the classes you want. If you want to get fit and do it right, this is it. I love going to the 6:15AM classes as those are the least busiest. The only negative review would be that their current pound mats for the platforms needs replacing.

Owners genuinely care about their students and create a strong sense of community through positive support and frequent motivation. High quality equipment and facility with easy street parking. Highly recommended!
Lisa Chiang: Awful support during a Spring Cut. Trainer was never available after many attempt to connect with them. Was told I was in the lead but our group never found out the winner. Total money grab. Do NOT join!
Casey Gressel: Train on Main is exactly what I was looking for. Finally a gym that prioritizes strength training and more importantly - proper form! I felt so welcomed there on my first day. I was intimidated to try this style of working out but it was so worth it. All of the instructors are amazing and I've already learned so much. I love how you are taught not to rush through the exercises, you are motivated to increase your weight and overall are provided great quality workouts. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to improve their overall health through strength training! I would give 10 stars if I could.

Agne Ziuraite: I’m not easily labeling something as “the best”, but I would say it this time! Train on main is really my best place to work out in Vancouver so far. Haven’t been there for a while, because don’t live close enought atm.Highly recommended for any fittness levels, as you’ll get profesional care and attention from trainers. So don’t worry about your form.Martyna and Mark are real pros in their field and they know what they’re doing. And that’s what impressed me the most! They know what they do and they love it. I was surprised how much I learnt about all aspectes of work out in just 3 months. It doesnt matter that gym isn’t equiped with latest machines, as you’ll break a sweat and get stronger without it.Workouts are hard and challenging, but that’s what you want.The only small detail you might feel like a bit of an outsider when you come in first few times- dont worry, it’s just because it’s all neighbourhood and everyone knows each other. On the other hand, I believe, it says a lot - if people come back for so long and form a real comunity.

M K: I've been working out here for the past 4 weeks and love it so far. I feel stronger each day. The coaches are friendly, welcoming and accomodating to new clients and varying abilities. This is one of the only gyms (or maybe THE only gym) around that offers 5am and 6am classes 5 days per week, which is so key for busy people that want to get their workout done before the day's activities (or in my case before my kids wake up!)
Shannon Dixon: I'm so glad I found this gym! I haven't felt this strong since I was a competitive swimmer in my late teens. I've only been taking classes for a few months now, and I have really seen and felt results. I was not at all intimidated walking into the gym the first time, as all of the trainers are incredibly friendly. They push you to your limits, and the classes are always varied. It is so empowering to feel strong, and I thank Martina for reminding me of this. :)

Kenneth Kirkey: Train on Main is a fantastic place. The gym has a great vibe. It's very clean and tidy. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition. And the place is open 24 hours (secured access with a key fob) which is the key reason I joined just over a year ago. As a busy professional I have a limited time window in which to work out and access to cardio and weight facilities at any time was paramount for me. Recently, I completed the Fitin10 Challenge, the 10 week exercise and nutrition program, and have never felt better physically or mentally. Plus, all of the X-Train Boot Camp and Lift Camp classes will push you to your limit. Train on Main is run by professionals with a personal touch.
