crywalkr: This is a neat little toy store on Main Street that's packed full of modern and retro toys. They had some cool toys from the 80s like Slinky, an Etch-A-Sketch and Lite Brite as well as the latest Playmobil and Lego sets. My one disappointment is that they didn't have a traditional Jack in the Box. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I hope to go back one day

Brenda Reid: Absolutely the best pet supply store I have had the pleasure of shopping at! Friendly and knowledgeable staff (thank you Kat and Blake) who went out of their way to help me fit the right harness for my dog, answer all of my questions and suggest quality products. They were even able to help me obtain a refund when my pup damaged an item that we had purchased. I was so pleased with all of my purchases and will definitely be buying all of my pet needs there.

Andrea Fernandez: Called to enquire about the single employee nail trim option that was offered before covid (slightly cheaper). Was told it's still offered on a dog-by-dog case but not listed online. We have been bringing our dog Mylo to see Kat for his nail trims for years and always did the single employee option. The employee on the phone then promptly changed their mind and told me it is actually not offered at all. I feel confident with my dog's history of coming to Discover, he would be perfect with us coming in; Kat even asked us last time if we would be coming in with him for his trim which is how I realized this options was available once again.Unsure of why the employee changed their mind on the phone; guess this is just a special option that only preferred customers get?

Whitney L: For anyone wondering if this place is still here, it still is! I used to go there when they were alot bigger and had thought they closed, but they just don't have the street side of the store; they've downsized to the store facing the parking lot.Recently went there to purchase materials for a hat. The employees on the phone and in-person were fantastic. Karen was especially a pleasure to talk to and amazing person, she kindly toured me around and taught me everything I inquired about the fabrics and making the hat to the best of her abilities.They also said the online store is different than in-person. We can also purchase online and pick-up. I decided to go in-person instead to feel the fabric and avoid disappointment as a rookie sewer.Hoping this store continues in the years to come!

Fanny Lemarié: I was initially disappointed by Fabricana (Richmond), due to a bad experience with one of the sellers (dismissive, unhelpful and rude). However, I have now updated my review as I was contacted by the customer service and was very pleased by the help I received. The Fabricana team helped me find a replacement for one of the fabric that didn't work for me and gave me great advice. They were so helpful and kind, and took a lot of their time to solve my issues. Next time I go to the store, I will just make sure I find a seller that is willing to take the time to answer my questions, and not just cut some fabrics.
Paxxus: Had a fabric scissors that needed its pivot screw replaced. Went to the store and four very helpful ladies told me that they don't have replacement scissor screws but Mason's does. Then one of the ladies went to the backroom and came out with a used replacement screw and didn't want any money for it. Quite frankly I was quite stunned at this fantastic customer service in this day and age. Was also looking for upholstery fabric and they directed me to the Coquitlam store. Great and unforgettable service. Bravo.

Kirstin Clark: I’ve honestly never written a review before but after leaving this store I feel I have too.The First Lady I spoke with (middle aged Caucasian woman with blonde hair and glasses) was so rude and dismissive, and honestly just quite mean. I’m new to sewing and shopping for fabric and was simply asking for some help and guidance and she made me feel stupid and small.I could maybe understand if she was busy and helping other clients but she was not. I wanted to leave the store immediately after speaking with her.However the only saving grace was a younger staff member who came over to help me after hearing my chat with the other staff. She was so nice and helpful that she is the only reason I stayed and the only reason I would ever return. (Younger Caucasian woman with brown hair). In my opinion she deserves a medal for working with such rude colleagues. I sincerely hope the first woman treats staff with more respect than she treated me with.

Ronilda Sousa: I’m not type of person to complain but after my experience with Fabricana ( Richmond) I felt obligated to make a review.Although the store costume service exists but so unpleasant that I felt to give a slap on the skinny costume service lady’s face . She was not only rude but also arrogant. She treats me not as costume but like she was doing a favor for me . I went to the store to get materials to pursue a hobby and have an enjoyable experience but instead I had vey bad experience and frustration after had expended my money this store.I will never come back to this store again
D Conway: First person I talked to at the front was very dismissive and rude. Thankfully I stuck around and was helped by other staff I approached to get the items and resources I was looking for. As someone newish to sewing, getting the right advise and supplies is crucial. I bought only the most minimal supplies I needed to get started experimenting and will get my fabric and the rest else where.My advice for that older individual, is to point customers to other staff who can assist them, if it's something they're not up to or capable of handling.

Carla Doyle: I was really expecting friendlier staff. The fabric was a nice quality, but pricy - though that was anticipated for what I was looking for. As soon as we got inside, we overheard a staff member complaining that she had ‘never seen so many new people in the store and didn’t understand why they were all there’. We stopped in about 25 minutes to close, and within 2-3 minutes of being inside we were reminded that they ‘closed in ten minutes’, with no real effort to help us when we tried to ask. We had no intention of staying to close, as we knew what we needed and thankfully managed to find it on our own, but the level of urgency and rush to get us out of the door was not pleasant at all. By the time we were out, it was only 5:49 and they locked the doors right behind us. As far as fabric shopping experiences go, I’d have to say this is on the bottom rung of mine for customer service.
Lillian Farr: Beautiful variety of fabric and easy to shop for a new-ish sewer. All but one associate was lovely. She was bothered by my well behaved children (and my daughter was very excited to pick out fabric for a dress) and she made it obvious and uncomfortable. Other than that, I’m happy to shop here when I’m able to find child care!

Azrah Dhamani: I had a really unpleasant experience while shopping. I was in the fitting room and I needed a different size. I asked a staff member in the change room and he looked up at me said I’m busy you can go grab it yourself in a really rude way. It turned me off and I left the store after. I was looking at other reviews and it seems to be the same where the staff at this location has been consistently rude.

BMX SICKNESS: Not a bad store. My personal preference are the Vans collabs with bmx companies like Fast and Loose and the signature bmx shoes. The Vancouver location seems to be picking the amount of that particular kind of stuff on its shelves which I appreciate. Prices aren't to bad. They basically fall in line with most other products that are used by bmxers, skaters, snowboarders and surfers.

Nicolas 8a: Recently bought some “gortex”boots from the store, I used not even for a all month and they started peeling off I went to claim them off because they weren’t cheep boots. Went to the store the girl at the cashier was extremely rude didn’t even let me talked about what happened, she said because I didn’t had the box I couldn’t give them back!. If you planing on getting boots save your time and money. I would completely recommend you to buy at other brand, for the same price you would get way better options and most importantly quality assured !!
Jeff Laderoute: Going with 3 Stars this visit. The guy working in the gray sweatpants was brutal. Literally dropped the shoes in boxes in front me, didn't even say a word then just stood there. No effort to help prep the shoes for me to try on.My plan was to buy 2 pairs, and some summer wear for my vacation starting on Friday.

masoud Jafari: Here is summary of our visit to this store extremely low customer service and serena served us with very bad attitude, they literally kicked us and poorly treated us, i can’t explain how disappointed we are to come to this store. We put the fabric on counter to cut and they were loudly calling my mon to come here to give masurement of what size you want the fabric, we have asked for 1 meter and another 1.5 meter in size to cut serena was treating us like we are idiots to not know what is the size in yards, not professional people working here, i will never ever put my feet in this store, big shame

Louise McElhill: I have mixed feelings. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. But I thought the fabric was expensive. I haven't done any sewing in a long time, so maybe I'm out of touch. The reason I've only awarded three stars, is that the lady cutting my fabric (masked), insisted I stand at least 6 feet away from the table. This is NOT mandated, so I can only assume it's a (completely unnecessary)store requirement.

Assistance given was condescending “ we price in yards, it’s on the door when you come in, written on this cutting table, ..do you want me to cut in yards or metres? This is a yard stick not a metre stick!”I think these ladies have worked together for too long or maybe they have a manager tuat rides them u fairly and they pass it on, because this is a group of staff that are clearly not happy and it’s a nuisance to them that you walk into the store. Will never ever shop this location again.
H. Lee: Came on October 22, 2022 to get materials to make costumes for my kids and dog. Dee was super helpful and friendly. This was my first time using a pattern to create costumes and I had trouble determining how much fabrics I need and what kind of fabrics go with what. We went through the instructions together and she made the experience so easy. Without asking, she went and got all the notions I need for the project. Highly recommend this place. 5+ Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
They call me Foxy Cleopatra: I will not be going back here and I prefer to pay for shipping rather than shop here again. I had gotten some fabrics cut for myself to make a quilt and Once I had gotten to the counter I realized that I didn't bring enough money with me I told the girl who was on cash amd she holler over to her manager who very rudly told me i coukd not do put anything back I was being forced to purchase everything. I wasnt ready to purchase it all and they were so rude I was almost in tears and now Not only am I flat broke I am terribly embarrassed and I dont want any of this fabric because every time I look ay my new quilt I will remember how theses women had treated me.

Completely ignored.Is the store short staffed? I saw quite a few people working, but each of them seemed too busy doing other stuff.

Joseph Kudzin: Charlie's is THE place for chocolate. We went today for Easter chocolates and had the pleasure of chatting with Charlie, who still comes to the store when he can. They have so many seasonal chocolates, bunnies at Easter, Santa's at Christmas, etc. The chocolate is also so good, Callebaut from Belgium. Definitely worth a trip for any occasion.
