Discover Dogs: what do users think?
Nicole Langmuir: This is our favourite dog shop in Vancouver! With a great variety of food, toys, & gear, it's always a one-stop-shop for me. The staff also provide great tips for training, diet, & health. It's just great little spot that genuinely cares about our community.
Brenda Reid: Absolutely the best pet supply store I have had the pleasure of shopping at! Friendly and knowledgeable staff (thank you Kat and Blake) who went out of their way to help me fit the right harness for my dog, answer all of my questions and suggest quality products. They were even able to help me obtain a refund when my pup damaged an item that we had purchased. I was so pleased with all of my purchases and will definitely be buying all of my pet needs there.
Jay k: This place is super good. Highly recommended 😊
kawaii hatchiko: Nice selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have promotions with most of their branded dog food which is what I like. Example buy 7 get the eighth free. They have natural pet chews. Pictured below is rabbits feet. Please dress warning as you may need to wait outside if they are over crowded.
Jill Grisdale: My order. Same in 2 days. Great service!
Valerie Russell: Great shop- it might be small but it is packed with great quality selection and has very friendly staff.
Jake Giammarino: Love this place
Princess Peach: Wonderful customer service, they have a great selection of harnesses, leashes and sweaters/jackets. They keep well stocked up on their food and have good quality treats and supplements. Highly recommend, worth going out of your way for!
Jen S: Wow!! This store is the best!! The customer service is incrediable, I live in the Fraser Valley and they've specail ordered me items and ship them out right to my work or home... their shipping program is so great😃😃 Specail shout out too Bree!!😃😃
Eve Comer: BEST pet store in Vancouver! Such friendly and helpful staff. They helped my dog fit a harness and really took the time to assist. This is what customer service is all about. Support local!!
Andy Schichter: Exceptional staff and customer service. Also our dog’s favourite store and he has discerning taste!
Sigourney Russell: Best place to take our reactive pooch for his nails! Very knowledgeable staff and amazing goodies in the shop!
Anne-Marie Connor: Helpful, informed, empathetic staff and amazing selection of toys, food, treats and supplies. Independent too!
Rylen Moore: The staff here are really wonderful people to work with and talk to. So stoked they carry raw food and are very knowledgeable about brands, how to get the best bang for your buck, etc. Always happy to come by and bring our dogs with us. Thanks Discover Dogs!
M & K: So helpful and friendly - spent a lot of time with my pup getting the best harness for his body shape. Really know their stuff and puppy can't wait to go back!
Andrea Fernandez: Called to enquire about the single employee nail trim option that was offered before covid (slightly cheaper). Was told it's still offered on a dog-by-dog case but not listed online. We have been bringing our dog Mylo to see Kat for his nail trims for years and always did the single employee option. The employee on the phone then promptly changed their mind and told me it is actually not offered at all. I feel confident with my dog's history of coming to Discover, he would be perfect with us coming in; Kat even asked us last time if we would be coming in with him for his trim which is how I realized this options was available once again.Unsure of why the employee changed their mind on the phone; guess this is just a special option that only preferred customers get?
Jonathan M: The staff were so helpful, and helped me pick out some great items and treats for my pup. Everything I've bought from here my dog loves. She especially loves the chewable soft wood! Highly recommend stopping by and checking out their goods!
Ali kovach: Discover Dogs has a great selection of high quality dog gear that’s hard to find elsewhere.
K Yuen (Karin Strife): We love coming here with our pups. They carry a great selection of dog and cat food, and our two boys love the chews they have here, especially the beef windpipes and horns.
Mairi Cote: What an absolutely amazing place. The people who work here, the items available, the positive atmosphere - my pup Hermes and I both LOVE getting to visit. Thank you for calming down my sweet boy, and helping me learn how to best take care of him!
Kay Jeh: Best pet store in the Lower Mainland. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff and great selection of high quality products. Can’t recommend enough!

Delta Kennels: what do users think?
Ultra Sonic: Not quite as much room as I'd like for the dogs to get a good run. Leaving dogs overnight without anyone on-site, even if they have noise-activated cameras on, is a bit unnerving. Sleeping pens are spacious and clean.
Bob Sharpe: These folks really care about your dog. Absolutely happy in every respect and highly recommend Delta kennels.
Steve Young: Love Linda & StephanieThey gave our Doodle "Olive" the best care while we were away ❤️Would not hesitate to recommend Delta Kennels and we come in from ChilliwackSteve & Norma
Leonie Pecenicic: Absolutely would recommend! I was in a bit of a bind trying to find a place for my boy Jaxson for 4 weeks! The lovey ladies were so accommodating and friendly and put me at ease, as this was the longest I was away from my pup. The ladies took amazing care of him, great communication! I will definitely be using them again if needed. Thankyou so much!
Lois Home: My St. Bernard loves this kennel! They let him play with their dog, and he has free run to grass, which he needs. His bed and belongings always come back clean and he is almost sad to leave! I love the facility and owners are so friendly and accommodating! Thank you! S.Bee and Lo
symrin basi: Absolutely would recommend! I have two pups (one male and one female). The female was in heat so I had the male in a separate room but in the last week that was no longer working. The male is not neutered. No other kennel or even dog daycare was willing to accept him on such short notice even though he is just a big teddy bear. Not only did Delta Kennels accept him last minute, but they were amazing with customer service and support! They answered all my questions honestly, the pricing was reasonable, and they allowed me to call and check in whenever I wanted. Its nice too see a genuine family kennel where they treat your fur baby as their own. Thank you all for your hard work. You went above and beyond my expectations.
Mike B: Delta Kennels is amazing. Above and beyond anything we have experienced before!Steph was lovely with our two large breed dogs (Husky and Staffie) and we could tell they had an amazing time. When we picked them up she had so many good things to say and we could tell she had a lot of knowledge with both breeds.Plus they get PLENTY of outdoor time. Coho and Taima will definitely be back.
Nicole Bird: We were in a bind when our original sitter backed out last minute. Thank goodness of Delta Kennels and having availability! We had never left our boy in a kennel, and would continue using them from now on! Murphy had a BLAST!! I would trust Stephanie and Linda again and again!! Thank you so much for taking care of Murphy like he was one of your own! He is a happy sleepy boy :)
Jessica Cooper: We love Delta Kennels! We board our three dogs with them quite often and they always love it. Linda is always super honest and up front about anything that happens during the dog's stay, which is so appreciated and gives us trust that if anything bad happens, they would call immediately. Our dogs are SO happy and SO tired when they come home. In fact, it's hard to get them into the car when we pick them up. They love it so much. I 100% trust these folks with our three babies.
sara Gutierrez: We love delta kennels and does our pup. They take such great care of him when we’re away!
Silvana Sulstarova: Not happy with their service. They lied about my dog finishing all of his food. He's very picky and the moment we returned home he went to his bowl to eat. Very very strange. They lied about the fee. Was told another rate and was asked to pay another rate. They lied about giving my dog his bed and stuffed toy for his time there. I had packed it all up and it had never been offered to the dog. An honest person would have said we don't think that helps the dog while you are away. They lied about CUTTING his hair on the tail. They can't explain what happened but it has been clearly cut in a straight line with scissors. When confronted about all of this they basically found excuses about every single one of them and then hung up on me finally telling the truth: my dog was nervous and anxious the whole time he was there.
M D: l left my Golden Retriever puppy to them gor 2 days ,he was so happy and relaxed with them and had a good fun times ,he was do excited to see me after 2 days, will definitely gi back and a safe place for to be and a safe place for puppieskeep it up
Seth Hagen: Great place, run by nice people and my pup always comes Home in a great mood
Emma Florido: A big heartfelt thank you for taking care of our two boys many times when we were away. And for treating them with such care and love as if they were your own. Also, our boys never smelt better than when you gave them their baths! Wow! I highly recommend Delta Kennels!
James L: Super friendly and attentive staff. Reasonable rates. Good yard space. My dog seemed to have enjoyed it. Will definitely use again
Harp Rai: Absolutely fantastic, thank you for taking care of our boy.
Ron Pong: Had a last minute search for a kennel for a short stay and found Delta Kennels. My Yorkie poo is primarily a house dog and has never been to a kennel so wasn't sure how this would end up. When we arrived we were greeted with a smile and Thunder was very calm. I was assured that he would blend into his size group, I was asked for any allergies and alot of caring questions. My dog has gastro problems and very sensitive to chicken so had to ensure it was communicated. Thunder was handed over and he stayed so calm, good sign and gave me assurance he would be fine. Picked him up after a few days and he was really good and happy, didnt show signs of any stress even after arriving home. Whew!Second stay 3 weeks later and same result. Awesome experience, Thunder was happy and no stress. Thank you to Stephanie and Linda for your care. You had many reservations, but still allowed Thunder to come.I highly recommend Delta Kennels, even if it may be out of the way, to know your dog will be well taken care of, it's worth it. Great facilities and people that genuinely care.
Mr. Cole Gallant: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueGreat place for puppies!
Janira Kursar: Best Kennel ever!!No complaints at all. Great staff, always friendly, and very understanding. If you want your dog to be in good hands. Bring them to Delta Kennels.
Steve Hawgood: I think my dogs prefer it with them than me
Azra C: I have been going to Delta Kennels for several years now and they are honestly just amazing. They treat the dogs like family and the owners like friends. I used to live in Delta, had a bad experience at one kennel then tried them out and fell in love. My girl came back happy, never dreaded going there and I just genuinely trusted them to take care of her well. A few years ago I moved to Pitt Meadows, but whenever I need a kennel I still take her here. She has epilepsy too and a few times I was a bit worried she might have a seizure while I was away they completely put me at ease and offered to keep an extra eye on her, call me if anything happens, take her to the vet, etc. Even once I didn't bring enough food for her (oops!) and they offered to go out and buy some for her and have it added to the bill at the end. Not only that, they actually ask me how I'm doing and we talk about life. It's just overall such a good experience every time I go and I couldn't recommend it enough. My girl and I love them!

The Urban Puppy Shop: what do users think?
Aimee van der Merwe: Such a good daycare! My 1 yr old lab has been going since she was 4 months old and LOVES it!! The staff and other dogs are exactly what she needs.
Wendy Wu: Very nice and helpful team! Love their delivery service.
Dora Fejes: They are very nice to my little Sammy when he visits, and they are open on weekends, which is a huge bonus.
Andrea Rigo: HORRIBLE PLACE! AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS.If I could give -10 stars to them, I would. The owners Laurie and Phillip are extremely rude, unethical, unprofessional, unorganized, unhappy, do unlawful things and when you call them out about what they did, they disrespectfully talk to you, they threaten and harass you. They forgot to bring my dog home one day, another day they didn’t pick her up, another day they called somebody else not even related to anything when I specifically gave my friend’s phone number to be called, another day they sent me private information from another member that I don’t even know, just wrong stuff after wrong stuff and when I told them, they threatened me saying if I said anything they’d do something against me through my regulated college (how stupid is that?), they don’t treat the dogs well, I never understood why my dog was always anxious and hiding behind the pillows when I said we were going to daycare, now I understand why she didn’t want to go. There are groups on facebook saying all the bad stuff they do. Please do your research before and avoid this place at all cost. Own previous staff members were saying to please look for another daycare cause how bad they are. tons of bad reviews here too from previous clients. As soon as you say something that doesn’t please them, they start being extremely rude to you and start harass you. Run away from it.Not only this, read all their rude responses to the bad reviews. Instead of giving good customer service, listening to our concerns and complaints and learning and improving from that, all they do is not take ownership of the bad business they run and just blame clients and call them liars. Shame on you Philip and Laurie
TheDazzer89: My dog doesn’t like many daycares. He loves to come here and the staff are always friendly And nice to talk to
Jenny Scribani: Avoid avoid avoid. Absolutely toxic place. They don't look after the dogs correctly, utter neglect, AND there have been multiple issues with dogs escaping. Do NOT trust your dogs to them.
Greg Sheridan: Our doodle can’t wait to get inside and play with his friends! That’s enough endorsement for me on how their care is for their residents.
Matt Lazz: We have been taking our female Airedale Terrier to the Urban Puppy Shop since late Winter of 2021/22 and have learned over this time that our girl is loved by all the staff. The last visit we had after picking up our pup I noticed something was off about her. The next evening I felt something on her face, a bite mark just below her right eye. We then called Urban Puppy Shop and asked if they knew anything about what we found. One of the people who answered the phone was super apologetic and said that our girl was in an unprovoked altercation from another dog (the aggressor). The person didn't mention anything happening the day before when we picked up our dog. On their terms page online, this is contrary to what occurred, we were not notified when we should have been. Days later the wound then became abscessed. We went to the vet and learned if we were notified about the bite on her face the day we picked her up we could have healed the wound below her eye and everything would have been fine. But since 24 hours had passed the chances of the tissue healing normally had gone. The vet had to shave her face to clean the wound, and we had a bill of $350, 2 weeks of heavy antibiotics, ointment application, pain meds, and the cone of shame. The dog in mention that was the aggressor we learned is still going to the daycare not muzzled, we are unsure if the owners of the attacking dog were notified of what happened. We are deeply disappointed and the terms on their website release Urban Puppy of all wrongdoing. All the negative reviews should speak to this, we are sorry for our pup, and wish we took the reviews more seriously before we started taking our dog here. The vet and other professionals say we should seek compensation.Edit:Contrary to the offer of covering expenses for the vet visit, this is a lie, we were offered store credit. What a joke.
Camia Mendoza: My dog used to go to Dogtopia in Coquitlam since she was a puppy and absolutely loved going to daycare. No hesitations at all when we would arrive and the staff just absolutely loved it there. When we moved, I took her to this daycare and she was absolutely terrified about going in. I had never seen my dog more miserable about going to daycare and every time she would come home she would be so thirsty and would smell like pee. Saw on a FB post from a previous attendant that they do not interact with dogs there, they rarely change the water in the bowls and they would get lucky if all dogs got at least a walk in (Which they should be getting two). Do not recommend if you love your dog.
J B: I used to bring my dog here for boarding until I found out they leave the dogs ALONE at night. That’s so unsafe and not to mention defeats the purpose of paying for boarding, $60/night I might add. You’re better off finding a sitter on rover if you want your dog to be cozy and safe while you’re out of town. And as others have said, go and read the glass door reviews for this business. I only gave two stars because the staff were always very sweet, it’s just a poorly ran business on managements end.
Anton Siedlecki: Reached out for an online inquiry regarding if they allow unneutered dogs at their daycare, since we have lined up our dog to have babies. Phillip told me while it’s a romantic idea there’s nothing romantic about it, when I never asked for their opinion about it. Merely wanted to know yes or no, will it be an issue for your staff as my dog regularly went to DOGTOWN for daycare and their staff had nothing but kind things to say about him. I’m disappointed at the recommendation referral I was given to come here by DOGTOWN.
Julio: If you have a pittie or by the sounds of it, a few type of breeds. . Save your time and go elsewhere,They don't accept them. This is probably a blessing in disguise as I see an decline in their business reputation.
M & K: So, I saw these reviews and feel conflicted. Our puppy loves it here- every time. As do others whose parents I see at pick up time. It's disheartening to see the conflict between ex employees and employer but ....I worked for a company in the past where this happened because they let a few people go and they had all their friends slam them on glass door. I'm not really sure what to believe from anyone online anymore. Both sides seem inappropriate in this one. Maybe staff should get more pay, maybe the owners shouldn't respond to reviews. But, at the end of the day- my puppy is treated well, never been hurt, and loves to come back, so I'll go with his instincts.
Jill C: I was looking into this place but decided not to after reading all the horrible accounts from previous employees on glassdoor. What made it worse was the owners extremely rude responses which simply verified what employees were saying. I can't support a business that treats employees that way.
Kay Jeh: Just bad vibes. When I took my dog in, I can tell they were judgemental of size.
Hugh Kendrick: Terrible owners who treat their staff horribly. Should not be allowed to take care of other people’s dogs if they cannot even treat humans with care and respect. Please don’t leave your dogs with these people and find a respectable business that truly cares about dogs and people.
Caroline Evans: Do not leave your dogs here, the owners have no regard for their safety and well being.
Ashlee Silverthorne: Left my dog from 5pm to 8 am - he reeked like urine so bad I had to bathe him right away. You could tell he was depressed and did not have a good experience. They don’t have someone with your dogs overnight and only use cameras. I assumed the service would be better than this. I would not recommend overnight care for your dog.Had one situation where my dog came home with a trauma to his eye, another where his food was given to another dog and he didn’t eat all day. he also got kennel cough another time even though he had his vaccine. This place does not ask for up to date vaccination records or even ask at all.Never allowed inside to see the conditions. Glass Door reviews from previous employees confirm the experiences I have had. Also owners replies to the reviews are unprofessional.
Ryan Jennings: Great staff, Baloo loves it!
Daniel Wong: I came across some glass door reviews of this place recently which absolutely made me sick. We’ve taken our puppy here a few times and each time he has been apprehensive and I guess you can make what you want of that, but I do encourage readers to look at the reviews before taking your puppy here.
Krystin Box: Protect your pups and stay away! Owners are cruel people. Staff have all been excellent but there is a very high turnover for obvious reasons... Best to take your business elsewhere.

BC SPCA Vancouver Community Animal Centre: what do users think?
P P: My dog had more time, the vet Dr. Jackie McDowell and her assistant Carrie Bruelet stole my good bye away. There is a special place in hell, for evil people that push you into killing an innocent animal. The irony is they save dogs that had my dogs condition, give them meds and special diet. These options were not given to me. They set me up in a kill room trap and withheld my leash and harness, forced me into euthanasia knowing that I was in acute shock. I would never recommend this agency to anyone. If you love your animal, avoid all SPCAs other than adopting. 2 years later and I still live with the arguing that this vet did before my dog died. The assistant set me up with holding my leash and harness. What they did was illegal and against the law. Be warned.
Don Andrews: Best place around to take your furry friends for the best treatment. We've been going for close to 15 years and have developed a great relationship with everyone working at the Vanciuver branch. Thanks for always being a voice for our pets
A D: Vancouver staff is amazing!!!
Scott Musgrave: Doing gods work 😺
BRYAN FARRELL: We adopted a Tuxedo cat named Whiskey, who was taken to the shelter as a kitten. Hats off to all the volunteers and donors who make this possible. We are very happy with Whiskey and the care and love he received along his journey from the Peace region to Vancouver. Donate to the BC SPCA whenever or whatever you can. 👍👍
Ira Maslenikava: A wonderful experience as always! I've brought my pets to the hospital here previously and have nothing but positive things to say! Last week, my partner and I adopted a little guy! People working there know everything about the animals and really care. The adoption process was quick and easy, but fairly thorough to make sure the animal matched well with the future owner. Our new pet, Gus is adorable and we love him! Thank u staff & volunteers :)
jerry st jacques: Was happy they helped in time of need. Thank you
Eric C: This is the third BC SPCA I went to this weekend that is closed during regular adoption hours I see on the website. There's no updates on Google or twitter or website that says they will be closed or closed early.
Scott Galbraith: Amazing place!
Jeff MacDonald: Amazing
Stephanie willow: Wonderful caring staff. Organized and clean location.
Clarence Martens: Knowledgeable, caring helpful staff
Ache Brasil: Today is Nov 4th. Covid restrictions has been lifted everywhere, except here!!! I was told I had to leave my cat inside for examination while waiting in my car (not allowed inside). While waiting, the battery of my car died and I'm here freezing. This is beyond ridiculous!! No one is doing this anymore. We could be inside wearing a mask if that helps. On a positive note, the doctors here are very caring and very good to our animals.
Bruce Jim: Good customer service n
Karen Bast: I went there with my friend who was having his 2 new kitties fixed. They register people outside and then take the pets inside. I was very happy with the way they handled everything.
V B: I use their services alot.
Dominik Plempe: Went to the hospital to pay for my cat's cremation. Now, I await her ashes. Service was friendly enough and they were kind enough to hold my cat's body for longer then usual because me being on government disability, I had to pay in increments. I appreciate that, thank you.I wanted to look at the shelter dogs but they wouldn't let the public in that day due to a large seizure they were getting organised.
jaq martial: They are doing great things .
Jay Hensman: They are doing a great service 👍👍
Walter-KEMBLE WellBredNfed: Staff and volunteers are dedicated to the physical and mental well being of the animals.Creatures are no longer "put down" (killed) after a certain amount of time boarding at the SPCA.Happily, when one of our fellow beasts falls under their care for whatever reason, they are placed in foster homes appropriate to the requirements of the animal. The NEED for any donation You can give of pet food or money cannot be overstated. I hope anyone reading this will not be shy in reaching out to the SPCA in that regard. XoXo ❤️😻

DOGTOWN by DOG TAXI: what do users think?
Greg Loukas: I had my friends Husky for a while and needed to leave him somewhere during work hours. Great place. Well organized. They care about the pups. He was happy every time I picked him up!
kawaii hatchiko: Does not provide a safe environment for your furbabies. Not accountability. BEWARE.
Amy Truong: DogTown doggy daycare is just amazing. Everyone I've spoken with has been so patient and you can tell they are dog lovers. Easy drop off and pick up. You don't have to worry about your fur baby.
Livia: Don’t bring your dog here. With so many bad reviews and injured dogs I’d never come near this place again. Unprofessional and irresponsible.
Nancy Vertel: These guys are amazing! I’ve had to use their services every time I have to go out of town. I can always go feeling reassured that our dog will be looked after with amazing care and professionalism. I highly recommend Dogtown !
Luna Yanez: DON’T SEND YOUR DOG HERE!!!My dog went here and they said for her to use the collar they have there. So a week later or so my dog came home barely able to breathe and they said “ she is just thirsty”. We went to the vet and she was really hurt because of dog town!!
Sophia Yanez: Never send your dog here!!!
Luciana Lago Nobre: DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG THERE!Wish I could give them 0 stars.Great disappointment with their services. It is very frustrating and upsetting to put trust and support into a local business to have nothing go as expected or promised for the wellbeing of our loved and vulnerable animals. We were in a business trip. After pickup, noticing a bad limp and signs of distress, I tried to have Frida, the older of our two dogs be checked out by your groomer or anyone available there multiple times with no results or feedback. She came back from the vet after we spent 3 hours there and a bill of over $600.00 to remove a piece of grass which punctured her paw leaving an infection with lots of pus. This leads me to believe that it was an ongoing injury unnoticed due to negligence of staff and improper care of animals in their facility. She could not walk properly and has been refusing to eat. The vet told me this infection, if had not been dealt with in time could have spread and become much worse, even life threatening. She then took pain medication and antibiotics to heal. Her appetite had not yet returned and her stomach was very upset (vomiting, continued signs of physical distress). Which the owner/manager/staff would had known if any one person from Dogtown had made a followup call or email to check in on how they are doing. After spending $2000.00 on daycare, nightstay, food, popsicles and taxi with your business I was extremely disheartened and confused how I could notice Frida's limp and how really not okay she was before any of the staff there. Frida was in great pain, does nobody check in on their health and wellbeing? However judging also by Frida now missing a collar with dog license and nametag (still have heard no response in regards to this concern) and the return of Frida and Lola's urine soaked beds, this tells me Dogtown facility and staff are culpable of animal abuse, bathroom needs unmet and general upkeep and check in non existent. We trusted them to provide a safe, clean and healthy environment.Lastly, as expressed in multiple emails and phonecalls, there were verbal and written agreements to receive nearly daily updates of their wellbeing and day to day behavior and activities. Consistent reminders had to be made, email responses untimely and insufficient. Why have I still not seen the "open area" they were sleeping in? This made me feel there was something to hide.We expected (me and my fiance) at the very least a sincere apology for this mistreatment and lack of communication for Frida and Lola and some kind of monetary reimbursement to deal with the vet bill, for an injury that should have been addressed immediately and could have been avoided entirely with proper care and attention. But all we got was a rude person (Jorge) yelling at the phone, giving many excuses (not even one “sorry”), and no solution. He didn’t even replace the manetas that went missing.Do not take your dog there!
Erin Holtzmann: Jorge and his great team at dog town.dog taxi were so great with our dog Dozer…they worked with us and him on his behavioural issues which helped so much. They all truly care about all the dogs and want to create the best environment possible. Dozer always was excited to go to dog taxi and was happy and tired when we picked him up 🐾
Fito Jesus: Best place!!My dog sofy loves to go there, everyone is super friendly and professional!!
Dr. Sina Mahabadi: This daycare is without doubt one of the most professional places that I've dealt with. The staff are lovely, kind and extremely caring. It has been almost four years that I used their service and I heard nothing but good feedback from whoever that I spoke to.It's pretty unfortunate that a vicious fraud like Dyon Yeo has the audacity to leave these derogative comments about this daycare. This person scammed the daycare and the owner, and provided false information (fake pictures) to the animal control to receive more money. I sincerely hope no daycare would accept this fraud with his aggressive and violent attitude.
Ana Brito: My dog went there in 2019. He is usually an energetic dog and loves to go out. He hated going there. He would refuse to walk to Dog Taxi. Then he got ticks! They are very nice but they are not professional at all.
Mireya Rodriguez: This this am amazing place to bring your Dog … what a lovely place … 🐕💓 🐶
Jorge Andrés Arango Gallego: Atentos y cuidadosos
Yessica Cordero: Positive:Professionalism,Reliability,ResponsivenessGoing to Dogtown is always a pleasant experience. The staff is incredible kind and my dog is always happy to share time with other puppies. I'm happy that whenever I have questions about my dog's behavior and health they are always ready to help :) I totally recommend it!
Dyon Yeo: tldr: Contact the city about cases of incident from this place before you sign up.It's been just a bit over a year since our dog was attacked at this facility and since no real resolution was made I thought it was best to post my experience. Our husky was attacked while at daycare in this facility, she had been sleeping in the outdoor space and another dog freaked out when a person entered and decided to attack. This resulted in our husky requiring sedation and multiple stitches as the other dog went for her neck. After the incident, we tried to get in contact with a manager or higher-level employee to see what was going to be done moving forward. What we requested was to ensure the other dog was removed from daycare and to pass along the medical bill to the other owner. The waiver signed explicitly says that you are responsible for the medical cost if your dog hurts another, so this seemed fair. We were informed that the aggressive dog was not being removed, so we told them we were not comfortable keeping ours there and would like a refund for our existing passes.Regarding the medical bills, and refunds every person we talked to said we'd have to talk to a manager. We called and emailed over a dozen times for a month. Every time we got a hold of someone they said no manager was available, but that we would receive a callback. We would then wait 3 or 4 days but would never hear back. Finally, we made a post within some of the community Facebook groups and review sites warning other owners that the aggressive dog remained at the facility. We also informed animal control that an aggressive dog was being permitted to stay within the daycare service.Within a day the owner finally called us, we went back and forth about how we felt it was reasonable to pass on the medical bill. The owner did not care about our requests or how our dog was doing and was only concerned about the reviews. He then blamed our dog saying it was her fault she was attacked because she was a husky and that we shouldn't have taken her to the vet. Finally, we came to an agreement that they would sell the other owner discounted services and provide us with the money for the medical bills. They still refused to refund our passes or to remove the aggressive dog, but it was a step.A month after this, they finally provided us with a third of the money. They continuously harassed us about the reviews and promised the money was coming. When the review was not removed they cut contact and we never received the rest of the medical bills or a refund for the passes. After all this, we continued contact with animal control as they were working to see if anything could be done. We found out from them that this facility has a history of poor management. Including a dog fatality due to heatstroke, and leaving dogs in boarding alone overnight, which resulted in neighbours having to rush in and free dogs during a fire. We also found out that the same aggressive dog that had attacked ours ended up attacking another at the facility about a month later. Since the facility knew it was an aggressive dog and opted to allow it to stay the city has now decided to move forward with a more serious case. If you are thinking about putting your dog in this facility, DON'T. Even if you believe I am biased (which I am) I implore you to reach out to the city and inquire about their cases pass and active.
Naomi West: BEWARE. This doggy daycare says they have video cameras and surveillance to watch the dogs. After sending our dog twice, he came home with a gash under his eye and was bleeding significantly from his nose.It took us at least a week to get ahold of management after someone had sold us a “10 pack” daycare option. They now refuse to refund us the total price after our dog was traumatized, wouldn’t look us in the eyes after pickup, and stank horribly after his experience at this place. I addition to the bleeding which seems consistent with other reviews. Please do not trust this establishment with trusting your pup during the day - it was horrible to experience.
Rebecca Sholter: Picked up my dog a few times and noticed he had bite marks/wounds all over his neck, ears. I think it has caused him some permanent trauma.
John David: POTENTIAL NEW CUSTOMERS -- PLEASE READ!September 27, 2021 around 8AM:I'm new to the area and was looking for a trusted place to take my dog. He's been to several dog daycares before and the staff and dogs love him He is full of energy and love for both humans and other dogs. The day before, I filled out Dogtown's online intake form for a new dog but they don't use it so don't waste your time on it! When we arrived, the person in charge said they need to perform an assessment. I totally understand this process, however, it was completely unprofessional and aggressive. The "assessment" was them bringing out an 80-100 lb Rottweiler (my dog is about 40 lbs) into the main store area to see how my dog would behave. Understandably, my dog was a bit reluctant to approach the bigger dog. The person in charge proceeded to take the leash from me and drag my dog over to the Rottweiler forcing him to engage with the bigger dog. She pulled him so hard that he slipped out of his collar. She then proceeded to tell me I need a special type of collar in order for him to come to their daycare. I was stunned by this behaviour. The complete lack of care and empathy for my dog in a new place and situation, coupled with her aggressiveness, was shocking and not something you want from a place taking care of your dog. In more professional places, they take your dog into a safe play area the assessment with other dogs of comparable size and at the dog's own pace. The approach at Dogtown was terrible! The person in charge then asked what package I would like to purchase and that they only offer passes in 3, 5, 10, and 20 days. I said I only want to purchase 1 day to see how my dog would be afterwards and decide if we want to keep going. She said "No, we only offer multi-day passes." I then left as it was clear this place does not actually care about its potential customers. They only care about money, they were rude and inconsiderate, and we most certainly will NEVER come here again. Please reconsider bringing your loved pets to this place!
Lindsey Snell: . Figs had walked through several extremely busy city intersections at the least, to get to the location he was found.I had my father-in-law go pick Figs up from the docks and take him home, and repeatedly called Dogtown to figure out what happened - no response, no answer. On Saturday afternoon (hours after Figs has been found
missczar: My last experience with this "daycare" led to two gashes that required surgery and stitches. I would not recommend this place where the day-to -day staff are not trained on how to handle dogs, doesn't follow up nor care.My dog wasn't attacked by another dog. The staff at the “daycare” cannot tell me what happened (Edit: A blackberry bush attacked my dog) or how my dog came home a bloody mess with two quarter-size gashes. Furthermore, I had to follow-up with the staff 3 times to get any answers or even an apology. This operation was recommended to me by a fellow dog owner. I trusted the recommendation given and now regret doing so. Having said this, the paralysis and lack of accountability exhibited by this operation was and continues to be inexcusable. When I picked my dog up from daycare, I was informed the injuries were sustained at 10:30am. I was also informed that “he looks fine”. This means that appropriate measures were not taken to inform me of his injuries promptly. This also means that my dog had an open bleeding wound for 7 hours despite “looking fine” to caretakers who did not, would not, and still have not taken any responsibility for their negligence. My dog was not fine as I suspected and did not sleep through the night or eaten for three days since the accident.I cannot articulate how upsetting this experience has been. A $300 credit for future daycare does not compensate for the ordeal we went through. I hope this information helps other dog owners think carefully about leaving their family member with an operation that calls itself a “daycare”.What to look for in a good daycare: (if your dog enjoys daycare)⛔️ Transparency is key (ie. communication, honesty)⛔️Who are their staff? Where and what are they trained on or do they just love dogs. Is it just a job for them or do they truly care.⛔️ How do they handle ie dog fights, bad behavior, injuries etc What processes are in place?⛔️Ask what their definition of “positive reinforcement” is and con’t to watch how they interact with the dogs (Actions speak - I’m pretty sure dragging or sitting on a dog or using squirt bottles isn’t it)⛔️Ask what their dog to human ratio is (one human doesn’t have 25+ pairs of eyes)⛔️ Do they have an initial assessment to see if your dog fits into their pack, do they turn away dogs? Do they separate by size/age/energy?⛔️ Tour the whole facility, it shouldn’t smell bad or have limited access⛔️ Watch how much energy is put into sales and selling - a good place sells itself or have wait lists⛔️ Take 5star reviews with a grain of salt and read all the negative ones, there are nuggets in there

Vancouverite Bulldogs: what do users think?
Brandon Andersen: We are so pleased to have our little Sophie join our family. Sophie is our second puppy from Katalin. Our puppy is so sweet and has a gentle nature. Katalin is always a pleasure to work with and is always quick to respond to any questions. I highly recommend Vancouverite Bulldogs if you are considering a frenchie!
Branden Glutyk: Katalin has been super great and helpful for us and our puppy!Back in late November 2022 we had purchased a puppy from her. We were going out of town and weren’t able to take him right away. She held onto him for almost 2 weeks until we got back into town. She was always easy to get a hold of and was always very nice via text and call. When we went to pick him up she spent about 45 minutes going over everything needed we know and sent us home with a gift basket which included food, pee pads, and a handful of toys!Since then I have been in contact with her a few times when I had questions. She always responds and gives me the info I’m looking for.She is very passionate about the dogs and she puts them before the money. I would STRONGLY recommend her for anyone looking for a French bulldog puppy. We will be coming back to Katalin next year when we get our boy a friend!10/10
gurleen gill: Trustworthy and very nice helps you in All ways possible even after, I will recommend it to everyone who is looking for someone you can trust
Diana Block: I got my little guy in November 2022, and Oliver has been the best thing to happen to me. Katalin is amazing and so knowledgeable! She answered all my questions and made sure I had everything I needed as a 1st time dog mama. Oliver is amazing and so funny, energetic and makes friends wherever he goes! Thank you Katalin your puppies are amazing!
Megan Rice: We purchased our puppy 2 years ago and have never been happier! Katalin was fantastic and our dog has been healthy and happy! Will definitely get our next frenchie from her when we’re ready!
trish jones: Love ❤ easy to work with beautiful pups worth every penny.
Alexander R: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueWe got both of our Frenchies from Katalin and both are happy healthy joys to have around ☺️ Her and her family are responsible and knowledgeable breeders. We’ve run into other frenchie owners with her dogs from time to time and everyone is always satisfied. Highly recommended
April Palmer: Katlin was extremely rude to me for no reason, and was rude every time I asked for a photo or video, refused to send me any pictures the entire month of waiting, did not want to give me a receipt of the puppy deposit, would not let me pick my puppy up because I was short $800 from the $4800 cost for her. She told me she would hold her until I had the rest but She put her back up on the website the day after, therefor I am now without my puppy. And she still refuses to give her to me even though she is still up for sale, only cares about money.. not the puppy :(
Manvir Sandhu: Critical:QualityWe were givin a puppy that did not have his shots and had ear infection
Ambo Wrath: So cute puppies are in this place
Kevin Vancouver: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueI have never been so happy before. The puppies are very cute. We bought a puppy he is doing well and happy. "Katalin" thank you so much for your healthy, cute puppies
Carrie Kaniewski: Got our pup from Vancouverite Bulldogs last summer. He's been a great family addition. Amazingly calm, loving and FANTASTIC with the kids. Thanks for our furry friend!
Michael Dufour: We picked up our puppy in December. Can’t say enough about how professional and caring the staff are! He’s been healthy and happy and is one of the nicest looking Frenchy’s we’ve come across. Everywhere we go he’s a bit of a celebrity and people always remark at how nicely built he is… Didn’t expect all the attention! When we picked him up, we were completely set up with everything we needed so there were no trips to the store or vet for quite some time. Six months later he still playing with some of the toys that were given as part of the welcome/care package from the breeder. Highly recommend!
Jeremy Syropiatko: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,ResponsivenessJust bought our Frenchie Frank from them, he is such a great addition to our house, perfect manners and very friendly, they are very knowledgable about the breed and were great throughout the whole process.
Clayton Bye: Positive:ProfessionalismWhole heartedly recommend Vancouverite french bulldogsFirst class service and support5☆
Sunny W: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueGot our pup 4 years ago and haven’t had any major issues. Our boy is very healthy and active would recommend these guys if you want a Frenchie. They will help and get your pup all set up prior to taking em home.
Anju Bali: I can’t thank you enough for my little blue Frenchie. I brought home my little Romeo March 13, 2020, now almost 1 year ago and he is a perfect addition to our little family. We love him so very much. We could not be happier with his health and personality. He is very smart and has the best temperament. I could not have chosen a better, caring and knowledgeable breeder. Being a first time Doogie mom, Katalin was amazing to me, answered all my questions, and is always checking in since we got him. I would highly recommend Katalin and Vancouverite Bulldogs to anyone. Thank you Katalin for my sweat boy and your support! I cannot wait to get another puppy from you in the near future. 😊
elliott moon: Awesome ppl, better staff and all the tequila!! Haha
nat Vanderwel: Katalin and her Husband are a couple of the best people out there!! Extremely knowledgeable and caring. I am so grateful to have met them. My beautiful and healthy puppy Devyn is about 4 and a half months old and is such a sweetheart. Katalin and her family really know what they are doing!! She is so kind, patient and I appreciate how honest and compassionate she is. Both her and her Husband made me feel so comfortable, they are now family to me!! How amazing it is that they are providing families with such exceptional puppies in the best health and so full of love. Thank you Vancouverite French Bulldogs with all of my heart!!
Selwynn lelievre: I’ve had my little boy “ghost” since September 5, so just about 3 months now. My experience with the breeder is that she was responsive, knowledgeable and happily walked me through the process from start to finish answering any questions I had.Bringing Ghost into our lives is the best decision I have ever made. If you’re looking for a well mannered, healthy, well-rounded dog, look no further!!! He loves people, all animals and kids! The biggest issue I’ve had with him thus far is trying to get him to understand that not every single person we walk by wants him jumping into their arms and attacking them with kisses. My vet has also told me he appears to be very well bred and thus far we’ve had no health complications. I was apprehensive in the beginning as I’ve never purchased a dog from out of the country, but based off of the reviews on the Facebook page and how helpful and responsive the breeder was I couldn’t have gone a better route. Thankyou again Katalin for bringing little ghost into my life. I look forward to our many years of love and happiness together❤️
Marek Kowalek: Very responsible breeder. Our Milo is 3 years old now and never have been sick. Our vet said he is a very well bred little man and his temperament is the best! Friendly and calm, very social. We had a lot of compliments about him during our walks. We love him so much! Highly recommend Vancouverite Bulldogs to everyone who wants to have a puppy.

barking babies™: what do users think?
Zamantha Nadela: I took my dog here for the first time and I am very impressed with his full groom! I realized that he usually comes out with an uneven cut (usually around he face) at previous groomers because this time he came out with a perfectly trimmed face.
Natasha J: Super cute store and lovely experience. Staff was very helpful (both owner and another lady…maybe Grace? My apologies for not remembering). Anyhoo, they let us try on various slings and little dresses. Nice selection of sale items too. Thank you!
Athea Casser: Beautifully curated selection of items and the women working there were so friendly and gentle with my dog. The high prices do not reflect some items but they do have some local artists items which is always nice to see!
GUNJAN GUPTA: Exclusive and lovely for tiny puppies
David Lunn: Nice people but way too expensive
Crystal Sutherland: Sad, they don’t offer refund if your harness or item doesn’t fit. For the amount we have spent on their overpriced items, you’d think they would kindly to simple return.
Kevin: Pretty good selection of treats. Competitive prices.
Karina Morga: Loved the shop, so much cute things for my doggie.
M & K: Great service! Great products! Love coming here😊
Kelly S MacDonald: Was pressured to buy a expensive leather harness in a size I suspected was too small for my dog but clerk insisted it was correct after getting measurements and weight. She assured me it was refundable so I bought a matching leash total more than 160 bucks. . When I returned it because it didn’t fit, they told me I was only eligible for an electronic voucher. Bad attitude, poor customer relations, wont be back .
Tricia Dumais: Very friendly place warm an inviting place. Staff was super friendly..
sadaf zeinoddini: Cute treats!
Orit BC: My small dog left this place traumatized! She was super quiet all the way home and I then realized that her tail was limp. It doesn’t look like a physical injury but emotional so I called and spoke with the groomer and she sounded very evasive and shady. Like she knew she had done something to my dog. I now understand why they were so quick to get me to sign a release form, I guess it’s not the first time they hurt pets during grooming. I regret going there and do NOT recommend anyone to take their pets to this establishment.
Y L: My favourite pet store to go to.
Tracy Huitika: I made an appointment to get my mom’s dog groomed since my mom has been ill and not able to bathe her. The front desk staff were nice but the groomer was rude and seemed inconvenienced by me bringing the dog in. She barely touched the dog and said she would essentially have to shave her bald since she was so matted, and refused to do any work on her other than shaving her, warning me that she wouldn’t work on the dog if she wasn’t completely comfortable. I ended up just leaving and going somewhere else who accommodated me perfectly fine. I’ve had pets of all kinds and brought them in for grooming and have never had such a poor experience.
Adriana Almeida: Very nice place to buy goodies for your four legged friend.
jenna zimmerman: Love this store so much! It is my favourite doggie store. There is no other store like it, I’ve always wanted to go to a store like this that sells clothes for small dogs and this one has the cutest clothes and best brands and everything you could need for tiny dogs! Nancy is very nice and knowledgeable and is always a great help! We love coming to Barking Babies!!
Harrison Richer: Super! Best grooming you can get in Vancouver for a small dog!!!
Sandra G: I am writing here to give credence to Trish Maisonville's comments. The fact that the photos in the original post lead to its deletion, tells you how upsetting they were. I saw little Wally and a “skin reaction” is just laughable if it weren't so horrific. How can we allow something like this to happen without repercussion? If we all do nothing, we risk this happening to us with our little babies. It's not like they are owning up to it... saying we assure you this will NOT happen again, let that groomer go... offer to pay the bills or anything. They are instead, taking no ownership whatsoever enabling this to happen to another innocent pup. Please read these reviews carefully before making your decision to go here!
Ichigo Ryu: Although they were able to take our puppy in for the grooming service, they didn't mention that they had a weight restriction. The main issue however was that they made our puppy look crooked. They had cut around the eyes and snout slightly slanted and thus our puppy looked a bit funny.
Cristina Ranalli: This was the worst experience I had when it comes to the grooming care of my dog and overall costumer service. I took my 24 pound dog for a nail trim and the groomer did not put him on a table to make the process easier. I had to hold him while she trimmed his nails which was a challenge since he is a puppy and not use to this type of handling.I found the groomer to lack care and attention when trimming his nails. Overall she did not do a good job. I would not recommend barking babies.
