Brad King: Our company has been buying toner from Tonertech for years and we have been quite happy with the service. Recently I decided to try out their printer repair service and was extremely happy with the results. I had 4 x HP Laserjet printers in varying states of disrepair. They sent someone over to pick them up right away and took them back to their shop. When the repairs were completed they dropped them off all cleaned up looking like new again. Cynthia Hiatt: We have used TonerPart cartridges for a long time. it is technology. Things happen. They are good about replacing defective toners. The only thing i don't like is when you call about a problem...they think the problem is solved by sending you a new free replacement. PROBLEM... you are in the middle of a project and replace your toner only to have a defective one...now what????? Oh we send you new one, that does not help me now. We had a drum replaced and it didn't work. They send a second one, we keep telling them since then we always have problem getting the toner to sit in the drum properly. Their answer... you must rest the drum to zero or it wont work. We did, they walked us through the process, but that isn't the problem. The printer is not registering the cartridge because it is not sitting properly in the drum. Their solution, sending us a new cartridge! What a waste of money and my time! Printer is not old either. Listen to the customer, hear what they are saying to you. Not every answer is generic.

Phylis Sophical: I have been dealing with Benny at Payless Cartridges for about 4 yrs with no problems. This year, my printer bit the dust and Benny suggested one of his used printers. Got an HP which seemed good at first, but soon the black ink hardly showed, more like grey than black. Benny came out and attempted to adjust the toner output. Helped a bit but not much.This month, I looked at my warranty, which was 90 days to discover this was the last day of the warranty. Panic! I called Benny and without having to explain anything, he said ′no problem, I′ll bring you a replacement on Monday′. He brought it, set it all up with proper install files and didn′t charge me anything. What a sigh of relieve as I can′t think of any major company ever honouring a warranty that was actually expired.His downtown store is closed now, only Burnaby location. Asked him how I could get there, ′No problem′, he says, ″I′ll deliver them to you″.Benny is a true professional, both in his knowledge and customer service.

Occasionally the owner needs to make short deliveries, so it can be a good idea to phone ahead before visiting. But it is definitely, definitely worth it - this business is the absolute best.I once came in with a very complicated printer issue, and the gentleman was very patient and helpful. The prices are very transparent and honest. Even though my printer couldn't be fixed - and they tried everything - the $35 was very reasonable for all the effort they put into troubleshooting, and I ended up saving money anyways by buying a used printer from Payless that was much better than my original.When I came back shortly after with questions about a minor ink issue that was bothering me, requiring several tests, they were very patient and happy to help. As stated above, I recommend this place to everyone I know, because they are excellent!

Edie Shack: I am suspicious of many of the reviews on this site; if you look at the language used and the location of the other businesses the reviewers comment on, it certainly looks like the reviews have been purchased. That aside, I have been happy with the customer care at Payless. Benny and his staff are helpful and prompt, and the price is right. I stopped using their cartridge refill service because the refilled cartridges consistently leaked in my printer, and clogged the ink jets. Perhaps refills work better with toner cartridges.

I went to this shop because my friend recommended and they introduce themselves as 'a leading service provider for all computer printing solutions' on their website.However, I am very disappointed. First of all, their price system is ridiculous. If they fix your printer, you should pay $55. It is okay. However, even if they do not fix your printer, you should pay $35.Even though it is weird, I went to this shop because the location was very good and I really needed my printer as soon as possible. However, to check my printer, it took 2 days, and they said they could not fix it and I was just unlucky,If you go to this shop to fix your printer and you are unlucky, you will just waste your time and $35 such as me.

Andy Bradley: This is the first time I purchased a black cartridge from Payless Cartridge. After I took the cartridge back to home, my printer showed a message about ink error. I called the store, the owner answered the phone. He was very nice and said just take the printer back to the store and he would take a look for me. if it is the cartridge he would replace it for me or I could get refund. So I took the printer to the store and he spend about half an hour. To my surprise, it turned out the error was caused by the cyan cartridge that I refilled earlier from Costco. I said I need to go back to Costco and get it replaced. The owner didn't say a thing and didn't even charge me for the half-hour troubleshooting! It was a very nice shopping experience! Definitely will come back!
ABSOLUTE CONFIDENCE • Suzanne Fetting: UPDATE: After going 2 times to buy cartridges there, both times they didn't work. They'd print out a few pages and that was it. The cartridges were empty. I ended up buying new cartridges a few months ago, and haven't had a problem since then.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------It was on a recent STAT holiday that I was in a bit of a panic trying to find somewhere that was open to get a replacement cartridge, and luckily I found Payless Ink nearby.The girl that was there that day sold me a used cartridge that was not working properly and was kind of dried out. John Irvine: Ordered a chip re-setter for my Canon printer from these people on February 16th this year. Canon PGI-270 / CLI-271 series chip resetter for $49.99. $56.49 after taxes. It's June 24th now and nothing ever came. Tried to contact them many times (No Response) To date. No Refund! ORDER NOTHING ONLINE FROM THESE CROOKS !

Avoid the Station Square/Metrotown location.

Melissa Boulanger: Since you can't leave a review for their online sales exclusively I'll leave this here since it's the closest Best Buy to me. Purchased an item online to have it shipped to my address. They use Purolater as the shipping company who apparently doesn't leave shipping notices if they are unable to leave the package in the receiver's hands. And as Best Buy didn't provide a phone number for Purolater to call me at I was left with a package in limbo. Called Best Buy who told me to call Purolater of course and Purolater tells me the package is somewhere in their warehouse and will take upwards of 48 hours to track down and send back out. Totally unacceptable. When requesting the whole thing be cancelled and I just pick it up in store instead it was impossible. I was told I had to wait the 48 hours for Purolater to track it down and return it to Best Buy who would then take 3-5 business days to give me money back. So about a week's wait with no product and to get my money back. This is some of the worst pass the buck customer service I have ever experienced. And then the supervisor from Best Buy hangs up on you when you state your disbelief about how I can be out the product and my money with no resolution. Lesson learned, I will never order from Best Buy again.

Ashpreet Kohli: I purchased an open box, HP Specter yesterday but the department manager including the salesperson failed to find the stylus pen with it. Today, Prab being helpful did an awesome job finding not only the stylus pen but also the power cable included with the box. Considering his confidence and professionalism I believe he should be working at least as a supervisor.
Ahmad Nakib: Took 20+ mins for a basic return/purchase transaction - by far the slowest service I have ever experienced. They were also unable to price match with Costco, even though customer support said they do.

Cherry Cheng: **Closes at 4 on holidays and stats. Just want to spare anyone who may be checking this for that purpose some trouble (like what just happened to me haha). Not able to edit google hrs for only holidays. A great place, easy and friendly to recycle. Easy to pop by on your way to marine gateway for a movie or t&t.

Ryan Carteret: Being a *zero waste* centre, one might expect the place to be easily accessible to those who seek to reduce their environmental impact, perhaps by taking public transport instead of driving a car. Yet there are next to no safe, constructed sidewalks anywhere near the entrance to said centre. Nevertheless, I traversed the grass and dodged the many vehicles to get there and drop off some plastics I’d collected from my less aware roommates, but not without some irritation.Here’s to hoping the flexible plastics trial goes well and the nasty stuff will soon be accepted in the curb-side bins where 99% of optimistic recyclers probably put it anyway.2022 update: I wrote this 3 years ago, and there’s still no safe way to get to this place as a pedestrian. Even just a marked crosswalk to the entrance would be greatly appreciated.2023: Still nothing

Because it was early in the morning, it was quiet and two of the workers helped me sort through the plastic bags until lo and behold the keys were found. Thanks a million guys!

Joseph Lau: It's convenient and easy to bring most recyclable items there, very helpful staff and well organized spaces.
S Dot: Sometimes you realize your tax dollars are actually being put to good use and this place is an example of that. Super clean and organized with staff that is willing to answer your questions and direct you the proper receptacle.

K M: Usually the staff can answer my questions but last time that i went there i choose 2 computers/laptops to buy (after an hour of looking and deciding). Both computers were out of stock and there was no notification to the customer that they were out of stock or display only. When i asked if its possible to have a discount on the floor model- he said no, but that he would give me a free warranty. I walked away, was a shame because i was willing to pay and was excited to have my purchases. Waste of time.

A line of about 40 people gathered behind me and the one person infront of me. The store manager didn’t seem to care about a line so about 20 people gathered in a cluster infront of the line as they all rushed the till befor the people who had waited in line. You would think when a highly demanded release calls people to line up for over an hour the store would at least try to honour first come first serve of a limited supply. I know he might be doing hard work but not at all professional, I felt judged at that point, well I just left the store and placed an order for pickup at another store🙄

Guilherme Guedes: Pretty standard Best Buy store. Very helpful and friendly service but some products like phone protection ones (glass, cases and others) are way more expensive than it should. You can easily find them online at half the price. But other psychs such as home electronics, gadgets and appliances are at a good price. You should always look for the offers though, they're very frequent but not always communicated, so you should do a price check before buying.
S p: EXTREMELY Pushy salespeople, and at the same time not knowledgeable about the products at all. Used car salesmen are like angels compared to some of these Best Buy salespeople. Worst part is that they INSIST that they are Not on commission, while literally doing ANYhthing to push you to buy...! I take it as a direct insult for someone to look directly into my eyes and lie so clearly and obviously into my face....Oh and I also had the pleasure of dealing with their Geek Squad for TV installation. After paying 350 Dollars for a TV mount, the first time they messed up the installation - they were nice people though. I had to book a second appointment which was scheduled for a few days later. The 2nd group who showed up at the 2nd appointment were so rude!!! And I ended up with extra holes on my wall and a TV which afterall was not installed at the height that I had originally asked for. Because they couldn't make holes too close to the holes that the first group initially made in the first appointment.In short, I describe their Geek Squad personnel as "Rookies". Definitely Not worth the 350 dollars to have a messed up TV mount and extra holes on your wall.

They avoid pointing to its weaknesses, and then, because of their short return policy, I've been keeping a useless, costly printer due to the following weaknesses;1. The scanner automatically adjusts auto brightness on documents in photo or doc preset. So you cannot scan something in actual colours.2. It sometimes has issues connecting your devices, and you have to sign in to your HP account before using it. Requiring users to log in to an online account to use offline devices is annoying.3. Besides this device's high cost of inks, you have a few months to use your cartridges; otherwise, they'll empty.4. This printer is heavy and oversized, and it makes noises.Therefore, I will never shop from Best buy anymore.
