Florence Wong: I was here celebrating Mother's day on the weekend. We made the right decision to come one week before otherwise we wouldn't have been seated by the window.The view of coal harbour and the snow topped mountains were incomparable and serene. The ambiance and decor was also excellent.Our server was attentive and welcoming.We ordered the $65 pp high tea service which came with a small selection of tea. Certain choices required additional cost. We also ordered a la cart caviar. The variety and portions of food was perfect. We even had left overs!I would've given 5 stars if the tea selection was larger.Overall I'd recommend visiting this restaurant and would definitely come back for other special occasions.

david procter: I accompanied my wife and mother to the Five Sails for Afternoon Tea on a Sunday afternoon. What a FABULOUS experience. From the GM Jason to his Greeter and to Jordan our server The staff was warm. Friendly. Knowledgeable and attentive. And hugely welcoming. Thanks so much.The tea started with a wonderful glass of bubbly. Followed by tasty tea I tried the Nutcracker black tea. Flavours of hazelnut and vanilla. Yummy. And the food which followed was exquisite Presentation alone earned outstanding marks. But the variety and flavours and textures of the offerings was outstanding. I even tried some of the caviar Bit of a rookie on that but it was very enjoyable. Definitely worth trying. Neat taste sensationsJason. Thanks so much for hosting the three of us. Josh Bateman: We went to Five Sails to celebrate our 3rd year anniversary. Our table was ready as soon as we arrived and the hostess accommodated my reservation requests and gave us a great table with the most amazing view of the harbour. Shawn was our Waiter who was very friendly and attentive all evening. Shawn went above and beyond to make sure we both had a memorable anniversary. They surprised us at the end with a happy anniversary dessert. I would highly recommend Five Sails!
CHANEL SATTARA: If I could give this amazing place, view, and the exceptional service more than 5 stars I absolutely would. This the was the best dining experience I've ever had, and I'm a major foodie so that says a lot. The view is breathtaking, the service is so personal and warm, they also have VEGAN options. The drinks and the sorbetto are exceptional. I would come over and over if I still lived in Vancouver. Thank you so much Jason 3
Sahiba Speaks: Honestly this place definitely impressed me. Their customer service was above and beyond. Very loving and make you feel more than comfortable and accepted. Everyone was treated with the utmost respect and love. The customer service they gave us was just incredibly beautiful to the point where I was simply touched. We need more places like you. Thank you for treating us with love and giving us an experience where we want to come back and tell others how amazing you are. The food was fabulous and so were the drinks. I am in love with the drinks... gorgeous... The atmosphere and the energy are just breathtaking. You will leave feeling apreaciated and like a king. We deserve the best and that is exactly what you will get here with class and luxery.

Bishop’s has been on my list for a while and glad we made it.An amuse bouche (croquette) compliments of the chef was a nice way to start our meal. We had their Dungeness crab and sockeye salmon cake with grilled asparagus and a lemon-basil mayo. Very nicely done and perfectly cooked & bursting with flavour.For the first main, we enjoyed their pan roasted halibut fillet with watercress, broccolini and pistachio sauce. Beautifully prepared and the sauce paired very well with halibut.I loved their roasted duck breast. A stunning dish and perfectly cooked with apples, carrots and pomme purée.A beautiful way to end the meal with their earl grey madelins, maple almonds and candied ginger. Their service throughout is excellent and made the experience so much better!
Maling Sun: Bishop’s is the restaurant to celebrate special events in a romantic setting. The food was exquisite and beautifully plated. The service was impeccable with multiple staff ensuring our dining experience was perfect. The amuse bouche was a nice touch. The Dungeness Crab and Sockeye Salmon Cake was yummy as it was moist with forward crab and salmon taste. If you enjoy fish protein you won’t be disappointed with Pan Roasted Halibut Fillet. I enjoyed the pistachio sauce and spring vegetables with the halibut. Roasted Duck Breast was rich and decadent. We thoroughly enjoyed dining in at Bishop’s Restaurant.

Pablo Santos: I had probably one of my best dinner experiences last night. The restaurant was elegant and cozy, with a beautiful atmosphere. The food was delicious and creative, with a variety of dishes to suit different tastes and preferences. I especially enjoyed the Kobe style shortribs, the fish and the chocolate cake. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made me feel welcome and comfortable. I want to give a special shout-out to Adrien, who was my guide for the night. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list, and he gave me great recommendations based on my preferences. He was also very charming and witty. He really went above and beyond to make my night memorable and enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a 5 star dining experience in Vancouver. It is worth every penny and more.

Winston Mew: A delicious dinner with excellent service from Liam. A great place to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The seafood plateau was a tasty appetizer sized just right for 2 people. Just love the special fork they have to aid diners with the assorted oysters, mussels, clams, and other tasty treats. The halibut was firm and juicy, and although the steak was medium rather than the medium-rare we requested, it was still juicy and very tasty. We didn’t leave much room for desert, so settled for tasty strawberry & raspberry lemon tarts. Highly recommended for a memorable night out.

Connie Ono: If this is your first time visiting Vancouver, Miku would be my top recommendations on your itinerary list for places to eat. Now, this isn't your typical sushi restaurant, in fact, I would consider this to be fine dining and here's why.When it comes to Japanese food, presentation is the most important next to customer service level, and they are bang on. I absolutely love how intricate their sushi layered to simplicity on a plate. Reminds me of a zen garden. The waiters/ waitress' are knowledgeable of their dishes being served and super friendly! Dishes are, at minimum $20, but the portions are decently sized. (Anything with Wagyu will always be expensive).They do offer gluten -free and vegetarian dishes and non alcoholic drinks.(I had their Shiso Nojito and it was the most refreshing non-alcoholic I've ever had. Also, the portion is very large and we found it quite heavy.Favourites are the insanely tender fillet, the Hokkaido scallop, oyster, and fresh sashimi.Few of the menu items were a miss, such as the Uni (Sea urchin) which we found not fresh at all. And sake pairing was late for one of the courses.Overall, this was a delicious meal and definitely recommended. We would have liked some lighter dishes that were not fatty-protein-focused, or slightly less portion for lower price (like the omakase platter at the end). Due to its popularity we weren’t able to get a reservation for dinner but came as a walk in at lunch time!! Great service and atmosphere, views right in the harbour. If you love sushi you 100% need to go here.

Shawn Joseph: It's absolutely perfect for the time you don't mind splashing a bit extra $$$!The food was to die for. You have to get the burrata salad to start off with. The mains are up to you. However, for the dessert, I still dream about that vietnamese coffee creme brulee. It was the definition of heaven.Finally, the servers were awesome and fun to talk to. They treated you like they were your pals.
Jiajyun Wang: This restaurant is perfect for a romantic date. We were lucky to sit in the courtyard on the second floor, just like having a date in a beautiful garden. As for the food, we ordered shrimp and fried cauliflower salad for appetizers, and they were both stunning. The flavors were rich and delightful. My dining experience at this establishment was a combination of impressive highlights and a few areas that could be improved upon.The ambiance at Brix and Mortar is undeniably charming. The interior design exudes elegance and sophistication, creating a welcoming atmosphere.The service provided by the staff (Savannah?) was attentive and courteous, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the evening. The servers were knowledgeable about the menu and offered insightful suggestions.However, there was a moment when I informed the waiter of a small hair on the ramen egg of the Ahi Tuna Salad (I think you can see it on the picture). Since I have already split the salad with my family members, I wasn't expecting anything other than a follow up. The waiter said "let me check with the kitchen", took away the egg, and never came back with an apology or any follow up.The menu at Brix and Mortar offers a diverse range of dishes, showcasing the creativity and skill of the culinary team. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad, Burrata Di Puglia, Wild Sockeye Salmon, Lamb Neck, and Steak. The flavors were generally well-balanced, and the presentation was visually appealing. All the dishes were exceptional aside from the Steak, which was satisfactory, but not outstanding. The cocktails we ordered (Stregarita, Sakura Blossom, and Basil Exposition) were delicious as well.Overall, Brix and Mortar is a restaurant that offers a memorable dining experience with its refined ambiance, attentive service, and creative menu. Everything is so delicious and nicely presented. We had dine our Vancouver festival dinner menu. We had TOFU PORK BELLY SALAD, ROCANA PORK CHOP, WILD LOCAL SOCKEYE SALMON, Panna Cotta and fruit sorbet. The pork chop and salmon tasted great, perfectly cooked. And the desserts are both really good too. The service was very attentive and good as well.
