The Vancouver Fish Company: what do users think?
Kelsey Walker: We visited the Fish Co on Saturday evening. We didn't have a reservation, but they made sure we had a great booth. We ordered the spot prawn special, and one of the seafood platters to share. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Hubert went above and beyond. He was helpful, friendly and hilarious, and made such a special night for us on the last night of our trip before we had to head back east.
Kelsey D: Really nice place, I've enjoyed the three times I've been here. Laid back and good. They serve "fresh Vancouver water" which is just tap water, but love their presentation of it (it really is amazing water).Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Seafood Linguini …More
Ka Wing Leung: Oysters were okay. The chilled platter was bad. The crab was not only small, but also tasted bad. Totally not worth it.Food: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Benjamin Gellert: Angenehme Atmosphäre und mit einer tollen Happy Hour.
Sergio Ar: Used to be great, they removed/changed the best plates they had, the Humboldt Squid sauce was better and the lobster and bacon grilled cheese was changed for a lobster roll that's just terrible.Used to be one of my favorite restaurants, truly disappointed. Will have to try some other things and see if they didn't screw them up to.
Brian Bryson: Was disappointed with service. Wasn’t busy at 6, Didn’t check after food arrived, glasses were empty, was only able to order wine for dinner when I was on my last bite. Then default tip of 18%. Will pause before going back here. Had fish n chips, it was a 7

Arlene Vee: My friend and I were looking for a place to have lunch and walked along the pier at Granville Island. We found this patio open and decided to to in. However, after about 5 minutes a server finally asked if we've been helped, we said no, and waited another few minutes for our thr host to seat us. She never asked of we wanted to sit inside and assumed we wanted patio, it was a beautiful day though. After she directed us to our seats, we advised her that we would like indoor. Once seated, we waited another 15 minutes. They still had not offered us any water as it was hot outside. We finally made the decision to leave as another server was just seating another couple and provided them menus and water after we had already been waiting for 15 minutes.
Blake Peets: Great food and fantastic service from David - thank you!
MrLemon: This place is perfect the lobster I highly recommend and the oysters are the freshest in Vancouver the service here is amazing and the tables are clean the bathroom is clean every thing about this place is perfect down to the last Minute details it’s always quiet the lighting is calm the chairs are comfortable I had my 13th birthday there yesterday and it was amazing 10/10 5 stars
Graham Young: Excellent seafood on popular Granville Island. Must try the maple walnut prawn appetizer - a fan favourite for many years. Deck seating during the warmer months a great choice overlooking the marina.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Seafood …More
Maria Paula Serrano: My boyfriend and I had a delicious dinner at Vancouver Fish Company for my birthday. The service was excellent, the food delicious, and the view from the patio the cherry on top. The restaurant is a pricy one, so I would mainly recommend it for special occasions. We will come again!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Nicole Yuen: I’m not a fan of happy hour menus that are just smaller portions of their normal dishes. It’s not a deal if it’s less money for less food??3 prawns for 11 dollars was surprising. The mains were fine. Mine was lacking salt and flavour so I added lemon. Our server was not the most enthusiastic either. He wouldn’t turn on the fans and then 5 minutes later a manager came by and turned them all on himself.
Lesley Wright: I enjoyed the food and the location. The service was good overall but the thing that ruined our experience was the loud/drunk people at tables on the patio. I couldn’t hear my partner talk and she was right next to me! I think the management should have a policy to ask some guests to please keep their voices down. It seems some people need to be told to respect the people around them. Thank you.
Niamh N: Good food and cole is an amazing server ! Great experience !

Linney Sylvester: My review is for happy hour only which is only 3-5pm. It's a lovely restaurant with a nice inside and a spacious patio. I never seem to be seated near much water just the marina and boats, but its a nice patio. Service is excellent. Happy Hour wine was so so. I didn't like the red and I can't remember who it was by, but seemed comparable to Dessert Hills or Peller estates. The white was better! $6 wines and highballs so great deal. The happy hour food I swear has shrunk in portion size. We ordered the shrimp and dip and the deep fried cod bites and fries for $11 each. We literally got 4 shrimps and four pieces of small fish. Think like popcorn shrimp. Fries were good. They have oysters but they are $2.50 each so not much if a happy hour deal, thi the server said they were larger oysters. I'm sure their dinner menu is amazing, but I probably wouldn't do the happy hour again, value wise.
Doug Longtravels: Top shelf.

Tiffany Olsen: The fresh seafood was excellent. The menu was varied and they were able to work around my daughter's allergy. The waiter was professional, but not personable. He took our order and checked on us once during the meal. We ate early in the evening and as the waiter had only two tables I did not expect to have to flag someone down for the bill.Definitely i would recommend you go for the seafood, and enjoy the view.
A. San Pedro: Nice vibe and great food. There was free parking when we went for dinner, but I’m not sure if it’s always free.

Joshua Younker: Best seafood I’ve had in Vancouver
Anne CZ: Our server was friendly, the food was pretty good, and the atmosphere was quite nice. We had window seats so that was a bonus. For food, we ordered the jumbo prawns, seared scallops, lobster tail, crab cakes, clam chowder, ahi tuna poke bowl, and linguine vongole. Would highly recommend the lobster tail, the crab cakes, the clam chowder, and the ahi tuna poke bowl. The lobster tail was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. (The scallops and the prawns had a similar sauce so eating those became a little redundant. The scallops were cooked perfectly but overly salted. I would skip the prawns next time as there wasn't anything to rave about them.) The side salad that came with the crab cakes was a nice addition. The clam chowder was nice and creamy and packed with a bunch of goodness and a generous amount of clams. The ahi tuna poke bowl had a ton of toppings that complemented one another. At the end, we were surprised by a chocolate truffle cake to celebrate our anniversary - a super nice gesture. Overall, a great experience.Kid-friendliness: They have a change table in one of the stalls in the female washroom.Wheelchair accessibility: You have to go up some stairs to get to the main dining part of the restaurant. They have an elevator, but it isn't always working.

Melissa Denise: I've been here before but today was the perfect experience thanks to our lovely server Anais. She was so kind and thoughtful!I really wanted the sable fish which is usually only available for dinner, but Anais pulled some strings in the kitchen and I was able to have it for lunch today :) It's one of my fave dishes here as the fish is so buttery and the miso glaze is nice and sweet. My friend had the halibut which she loved. We also shared the deep fried oysters which were delicious. Our coffees were constantly refilled for us (thank you) and Anais brought us the tastiest dessert which happened to also be one of my faves... The creme brulee! The rooftop patio is one of the prettiest in the city and even though today was partly cloudy, we were very comfortable sitting up there.Joe Fortes is a restaurant I always recommend to my friends. Not only is the food and service consistently great but the restaurant always donates a gift card to our hospital unit every Christmas :) HealthCare workers absolutely love Joe Fortes!Thank you!

CutestKitten: Food was average but way overpriced for the quality. My 60$ steak was tough as a glove. The water Mellon salad was half a tomato placed whole on a plate with a piece of feta and Mellon. And to top it off the bar sent me a flat coke with a one inch shard of broken glass that I drank into my mouth and cut my lip. I didn't make a big deal about almost dying because I was in shock and was offered a free desert. But cried alot later in the evening of my bfs bday dinner as I could have died overall not impressed might come back though in a few years
Nick Burrows: Service from Tony was fine. The food tasted alright. Big step down compared to the last time we were there. The best part was being sick for hours at 2am and again in the morning. Probably won’t be back again any time soon.

I was recommended to try the halibut and, oh boy! Heavenly, not oily at all, crispy and light, seasoned to perfection. A generous serving of fish on a bed of fantastic fries, coleslaw and tartar dip. Super friendly staff, cool and laidback interior, with some seating by the window. Really really recommended, as they focus on local, seasonal and sustainable seafood. Really awesome!
Justin Eaton: Randomly found this place on Google Maps. If you are the Vancouver area. Don't miss it. It's small so expect to stand or take it to go. But my goodness the quality was so amazing!
Dasha Brar: This place was great :) delicious food and nice people. My 9 year old son had been craving fish n chips for a while so we stopped in on a whim. He said it was his favorite he's had. I loved the oyster po' boy and will be coming back for more.

Qasim Shahzad: Fries and salad on side was good but fish was bland. There wasn't any seasoning and no taste at all. Thanks for your kind response, I guess its just my taste buds since i dipped the fish in tartar sauce too. 😀

The selection isn't massive, but we kind of like that since we're never overwhelmed by options. The fish and chips are also delicious (but pricey). The tartar sauce is great.

Elisa Green: Cozy ambiance inside and perfect patio for nice days. Baked oysters, crudo and burrata were favorites, but everything was excellent. Nice Sancerre wine paring recommendation. Highly recommended if you're in Vancouver.

Dennis Wong: Great food and service was excellent. Staff was always there to fill your water and take away the dirty dishes. Our server offered us more toasted bread to soak up the broth from the mussels. It's thoughtful gestures like that, that is often missing from restaurants these days. .Dishes are shareable and there's a good variety. The menu is more than what is on their webpage as they have a seasonal menu with quite a few dishes in addition to there regular menu. The inside seating sounded noisy so we chose to sit outside.Outdoor patio is enclosed and heated.
Jeremy Sellmer: This is by far one of the best in the city. The food is delicious and the service is friendly.A neighborhood fav. I highly recommend it for a nice evening out.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Lee Martinez: Very attentive staff. Great food. Amazing service. Highly recommend.
Frédéric Mazzola: Great atmosphere, the staff, the food is really good. Amazing hand cut fries, fresh fish. The only down side are the prices. The spicy margaritas are just wonderful but $50 (18% tip included) for two margaritas is just too much. Specially for two glasses half full.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Halibut Ceviche, Hand Cut Fries, Octopus Carpaccio, Grilled Octopus …More
Carlo Thirtytwo: Gonna go with 4.5 here... Oddfish is a super unique place based on the fact it's completely pescatarian. Situated in a quaint little neighborhood, Oddfish has a lot of character and it's not the atmosphere that lends to it, it's the food!We had a selection of delicious dishes: scallops, a sole picatta, an amazing burrata, and we had to throw some fries in there as well. We were hesitant about the Picatta but it's a best seller and was very flavorful. Scallops again are exceptionally delicious but a smaller serving as was the burratta. Understand that the portions aren't the largest at Oddfish, but they make up for it in taste.Service was good. Not too overbearing and knowledgeable with respect to the menu. Our guy made a few excellent suggestions that we appreciated. If you're interested in a menu centered entirely on seafood and fish, there aren't many places better than Oddfish in Vancouver
sahar atapoor: We had dinner there for the first time and it was amazing , the food was great , staff were friendly , for sure will go back
Dan C: A+ great meal, fresh fish, impeccable service.Kinda pricey cocktails but food is spot (praw)on.
Becky Foo: All the dishes were amazing and the ingredients were fresh. Perfectly cooked potatoes wrapped halibut that we would definitely get again. Even their fries were good! Double fried and perfectly salted.
Mat Moniz: Oddfish was quite the experience. I had one of the best meals I think I'll ever have. I went with a party of four and we were all able to share, it was wonderful. I need to express how fresh and creative their menu is - especially when you realize it is all based on what comes in from that days catch. The octopus carpaccio, seared scallops, and the sole were divine. I can recommend all of those plus the mussels, though I have a feeling whatever you order here will end up being good. The one negative I would have is the price point if not for the fact I think the experience was well worth it. We ended up spending around $100 per person this meal.
Damien Secret: underwhelming for the price.
Andrea Yuel: The staff are friendly and never steer you wrong with suggestions. The food is delicious and the wine selections are well curated. If seated in the dining room, as is always a packed house, tends to be a little loud.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Ryan Cha: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Seafood Hot Mess, Grilled OctopusMore
Tigran Babaev: We came with a party of 5. This restaurant has delicious small plates, fantastic service and a cozy ambiance however my biggest complaint would be the portion sizes. I would recommend this restaurant for 2-3 people max or else you will need multiple dishes just to get a bite.

Hans Moon: Nice food and friendly staff that would go the extra mile to accommodate for specific dietary requirements.Vegetarian options: Good selection of salads soups and other veggie optionsDietary restrictions: I told staff I can't have food items mixed/cooked with alcohol, they checked what I can have and asked the chef to change the sauce for one item, kudos for helpful staff.
Evan: Doesn't get much better than fresh and well prepared seafood platter and sashimi on the patio! Liam especially stood out with excellent service. Having previously been a chef, he was very knowledgeable and efficient. Definitely added to a fun night!
Bob A: amazing food and service. definitely top end but worth it. took a group of business colleagues here and the experience was very memorable
Amy Kiesenwetter: The food is unreal, but the service is outstanding!! Adam is the bartender to see. I was in the mood for a Margarita... And not the spicy one on the menu (also delicious)... So I asked him to mix up something cool and unique. I have no idea what was in it, but it was spectacular! I love walking into a restaurant and having the ability to talk to knowledgeable staff that follow through with delicious items!! That is why we all go out to these places, right!!?? Thank you, Adam!!

Lucie In the sky: My favorite restaurant in Vancouver. Service and quality of the food is always on point and has been consistent over the years.
Pablo Santos: I had probably one of my best dinner experiences last night. The restaurant was elegant and cozy, with a beautiful atmosphere. The food was delicious and creative, with a variety of dishes to suit different tastes and preferences. I especially enjoyed the Kobe style shortribs, the fish and the chocolate cake. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made me feel welcome and comfortable. I want to give a special shout-out to Adrien, who was my guide for the night. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list, and he gave me great recommendations based on my preferences. He was also very charming and witty. He really went above and beyond to make my night memorable and enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a 5 star dining experience in Vancouver. It is worth every penny and more.
HJ Marshall: We were there for a wedding. It has a cozy room for the special event. The food was great, the service was awesome and the couple got married. It was a perfect night.
Tess Filling: Staff were wonderful, drinks were great, and the raw bar dishes were delicious. The tsunami dish (pictured) was so perfectly balanced. We will be back during our next trip to Vancouver.Recommended dishes Ahi Tuna Tataki …More
Pamela Key: An exceptional experience with the highest quality ingredients and flavours. The service we received here should have provided us with a seven star option to select. Above and beyond. Thank you to the entire team, from start to finish absolutely incredible. We cannot wait to return.
Winston Mew: A delicious dinner with excellent service from Liam. A great place to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The seafood plateau was a tasty appetizer sized just right for 2 people. Just love the special fork they have to aid diners with the assorted oysters, mussels, clams, and other tasty treats. The halibut was firm and juicy, and although the steak was medium rather than the medium-rare we requested, it was still juicy and very tasty. We didn’t leave much room for desert, so settled for tasty strawberry & raspberry lemon tarts. Highly recommended for a memorable night out.

Fish Café: what do users think?
Brian Nee: I was driving around looking for something to eat and saw this place...I stopped in and was warmly greeted by the young lady serving tables. It was toward the end of the night, so the fish options were limited, but it worked to my favor.I ordered the steelhead with my seafood platter, which I would not usually go for. Well, it was amazing! Blackened with that garlic butter...just simply awesome. The grilled calamari, scallops, and prawns were equally fresh and delicious and those fries were among the best I have had. I would recommend the fries over the rice, only because they are so good! All in all, it was an amazing meal and I am glad I stumbled upon this place. I will be back next time I am in Vancouver...
Norm D: Great fish and chips
Qasim Shahzad: It was an incredible experience dining here. Food was great, we had fish n chips and caesar salad.Chef and both waitresses were so kind and welcoming. It was a lovely experience.I just moved to Vancouver and this restaurant has definitely become my goto place.
Dawson Huang: Fish and chips were very good. One of the best I've had. Atmosphere is nice and the quality of food is fresh.I only have a problem with their menu being confusing and messy for a person coming in for the first time. I had mixed up the pricing for the "fish and chips" and the "fish burger" given the fact that the menu displays both item names on the bottom left of the menu with no clear separation to tell you what is what. I ultimately ended up paying a little more than what I was comfortable with because of this issue.I would still recommend because the food is very good.
Adrian McCardle: Great fish and chips and super friendly. Explained all the GF options.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Fish & Chips …More
Anthony Herbert: The food and service was good.
Steff K: Fish Cafe was great! I'm from Toronto and my cousin mentioned BC has great seafood, it's fresh. We started with the grilled calamari with garlic butter which was a great combo. I had a Greek salad with 1pc fish and chips. He had the grilled salmon on rice. For dessert we tried their chocolate cake (they didn't have anymore carrot cake). It's understandable that some menu items wouldn't be available due to the freshness of the food so we didn't get a chance to try their crab cakes or clam chowder. I would highly recommend the fish and chips, the snapper was very light and battered perfectly. Overall I'm happy we visited and I would definitely go back if I visit BC again :)Parking: You may find free street parking if you're willing to park around the corner. Otherwise there is paid parking right in front of the restaurant.
GSW Productions: Good fish. Good people. Casual friendly atmosphere.
Seelan Chetty: A very intimate setting, a must for all living in Vancouver. The store is owner managed and the food is absolutely delicious. Marcus (a fellow ex South African) is an excellent host and chef. A taste of home away from home. Will definitely return and provide my ongoing support.
Sahil Mann: My family and I are lucky to have discovered this small local restaurant in our neighbourhood, it has instantly become a favourite! The food is amazing and you can tell the chef puts a lot of pride and effort in what he serves. Do yourself a favour and try it out!
Dandan Yang: Definitely the best fish and chips that I had in town. Marcus is a great chef making the food amazing and the staff is so friendly. Definitely I would visit again.
J. Ryan Buxbaum: 11 table restaurant with chalkboard menu.If the have muscles in coconut curry, do yourself a favor and get them. Just be prepared to want to kiss the chef.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Lawrence Bau: The seafood is amazingly fresh. I could taste the beer in the fish and chips batter. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
Brian Grant Duff: It's a wow
Freddy: My partner and I had a SPECTACULAR experience here! I had the blackened cod with garlic butter (divine), they had fish and chips (unreal), and we split a house salad with the vinaigrette (why was a salad so delicious??). Our server was fantastic, and the place was packed. It’s a small dining room, so we were happy to have a reservation. 10/10 recommend! Can’t wait to go back and try more of the catches and sauces!
Marco Fellin: A familar place that welcomes you with great smiles and delicious fish. Highly reccomended!
Manuel Otero: One of the best Arctic chart blackend with butter lemon sauce that I’ve had it was superb! A place that must be visited while in Vancouver for fantastic seafood. Chef Marcus is a master in the kitchen. Fantastic 🏆
Umer Karbari: Excellent service. The server got me made a non-alcoholic fish n chips
Tammy Kalvari: The best seafood meal in Vancouver!!! Fish Cafe is owned by South African, Marcus Stiller. He has become a legend in Vancouver for the excellent food and great service at his restaurant in Kerrisdale. Plus, the only place I know of in the Lower Mainland where one gets delicious grilled calamari with no batter. Others had snapper, cod and steelhead and was the best they’d had! Even his fries are first rate!! Be sure to stop by for awesome flavourful South African cooking and hospitality. Make sure to introduce yourself to Marcus.
Ramiro Herrera: Atendido por su dueño, pescado fresco muy bien preparado ¡Riquísimo!
Tan R: I got the blackened snapper with rice and peri-peri sauce for takeout. The portion size is great with 2 filets of snapper and they're blackened so well, crispy and flavourful. I'll be back to try the grilled and fried fish eventually too

Pink Peppercorn Seafood House: what do users think?
Stacie LeeAnn: Went here on a whim, and they did not disappoint. At first, it was a little skeptical as some reviews stated small portions, but they were far from it! Definitely recommend, and will be going back when I visit again.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Buttery Mashed Potatoes, Lemon Butter, Seafood Platter for 1, Cedar Plank Wild BC Salmon Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot, Free street parking, Paid street parking …More

Daisy Yuen: This is supposed to be a seafood restaurant but it is still disappointing for the non-seafood eater to get a poor tasting dish.I had the seafood linguine that was amazing, loaded with a ton of seafood. I had a bite of my partner's chicken and the sauce it came with was disgustingly sweet. Total put-off for $40!Also not mentioned in other reviews or on their website - you can bring your own wine for a $25 corkage fee!
Ram: Its a nice experience celebrating my birthday, such a lovely people very welcoming most specially our server Teddy bear(Asim).Food is exceptional, you will never go wrong of any of their menu.
Marko Joannou: If you had the pleasure of dining at the Cannery down by the Vancouver docks, then this is your lucky day. Same staff, chef and amazing great food.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
John Szpak: Dietary restrictions: They were very accommodating of my wife's dietary needs.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes West Coast Bouillabaisse …More
Brandon Wong: This is one of my family’s go-to places for celebrating occasions. The food is pretty consistently good and the clams are always big. My wife wasn’t a fan of her salmon Wellington because it had salmon, beef, and baby shrimp (too many kinds of meat) but anytime I’ve ordered it I’ve enjoyed it!The decor is very out-dated and it is dark inside. The service is always superb and they seem very happy to be serving you, which I love.My sisters boyfriend is celiac and they are happy to accommodate him which is nice. For fine dining there is fairly big portions.
Freddie von Schellwitz: My wife and I were on our anniversary dinner and we got stuck in a corner when there were lots of tables available. The meals were very over priced for what we got. The service was okay only 1 waiter and we feel the price we paid for the experience was not good.Food: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
nicole: A bit old school. A bit kitschy. A wonderful seafood restaurant on Kingsway. With steep prices and no view, the quality of the food and service is really what makes this place shine! My husband enjoyed the clam chowder and complimentary bread wit lobster oil. I loved the sea food platter for 1 and would highly recommend it. We shared the Alaskan smoked cod. It was a bit heavy after the other 2 dishes so I might recommend something else or maybe passing on the cream based soup. There was a small fee of $4, but the portions are huge so I recommend it.
Beatrice Tam: Lovely meal with my family over the weekend visiting the city. I found this restaurant from local seafood online recommendations. It's kind of hidden and unassuming but it was a great atmosphere for group dinner. Great options for both seafood and meat lovers. I especially loved my mussels appetizer. The portions were pretty generous. My son really enjoyed his chocolate dessert as well.
Aaron Byun: Tried couple of sea food dishes and lamb. They were all great & fresh. Will come back again and would like to try black cod!
Amine Widlin: My wife and I came here for dinner to celebrate our 6th anniversary. Outside may look odd but inside is very clean, cute and classy! Very elegant and romantic ambiance, tasty food and good service. Maitre chef helped us with our choices and our waiter "Teddy Bear" made sure we enjoy this special moment. I highly recommend this place and will definitely invite my family and friends here again!Vegetarian options: They also offer some vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: We saw kids with their parents here. No complaintsParking: Street parking available in back alley
Tony V: Wow Salmon Wellington Amazing. I love Salmon but mainly I like Salmon raw in either sushi or sashimi. However The Salmon Wellington is probably one of the best cooked salmon dish I have ever had. I repeatedly return just for this dish... it is amazing! Service is always amazing too and the decor really brings some charm. My wife and I really like it here!

Good food only: Food here was delicious and definitely deserves more than 5 stars. Our server Paul was wonderful. He gave us amazing recommendations for the night ~ my favourite dish was something he suggested (scallops) in a replacement of a salad that I wanted. In conclusion If you want amazing food for great price supporting great people, this is the place for you! #supportlocalbusinessesFood: 4/4Service : 3/3Price: 3/3= 12/10 + 2 extra bonus points for the history + longevity of this establishment.
