Shubham Gaur: Well there are so many good reviews but i want to share my own worst experience i have ever had in my whole life.I ordered take out of 12 people, first of all it was late because we already told them that we have a flight to catch and even if we forget that how can you forget the worst service which makes you feels like a vomiting. The server at the front was ever charge us for the complimentary disposable spoon and plates and not even that she called someone and asked about the price of napkins like seriously my god,If guys can not provide the disposable which every restaurant do just next time put everything directly in customers mouthSo disappointed service. And it wasn’t enough for the day, i guess worst time never leave you alone sooner. When we took the food we asked server to double check and we got in a park where my whole family was waiting for food because they didn’t have anything from the morning3 packages were missing and when we called they were rude and sad you forget here seriouslyI am requesting to the manager please check you cameras footage than she only handed us 3 packages and inside 3 daal were missingHow were we supposed to eat the rice aloneWe couldn’t do anything because they blocked our number and we also had a flight to catch. But telling you one thing my whole family didn’t eat anything for a whole day because they came form india to visit and can’t eat outside food but you guys seriously gave us a pain that we can not forgetWorst restaurant ever!!!
Shilpa Sharma: My experience with this restaurant is very very poor . I am from Edmonton. My family visited from india so I bring them to Vancouver to make good memories. On last day of my trip we were on Granville island, we ordered food for our lunch . Girl on counter did not gave us full order . I ordered 3 daal and 2 mix veg dish , we waited extra 30 min for our food . We didn’t received 3 daal order . We waited more than a hour and ending up having only naan and rice. I called back and talk to girl who was serving , she hang up on me . She said we did not pick up 4th bag , but truth is that she never hand over that to us . She was very very rude , she don’t bother to apologize . My family from India was very upset too. Anyone will upset if you order food waiting for it and did not receive it.we paid full amount of money to food which we never received . So my big No this restaurant. Very bad service.
Tarun Sharma: Worst Indian Restaurant in Vancouver. It is not just a bad experience it is reality. The way of treating customers reflects it. We had a take out of about 150$. First of all it was late even though we were in expected time then, We asked that everything is in there place because we have to catch flight later on and we don’t have time to even check everything. We left for restaurant and when we started eating it there was only rice nothing else we paid for everything. But still nothing in the bags. Moreover, we called the restaurant to let them know about there mistake. They talked rude and even blocked the number. We will not be going there ever again and will suggest everyone to stay away from them.
Rane: EDIT: Lowering to 1 star momentarily since I haven't seen a y response from management. In 1 week I'll raise this again to a fair review.EDIT 2: Updated to 5 stars because I can't help but love this place.I'm going to start by saying that I'm only leaving this a 3-star review to hopefully get the attention of management. I'll change the review to 5 stars in the near future. This place is amazing. The service is awesome, and the food was incredible. Note: was. I have been ordering from New India as my regular takeout place for at least a year now. I have been ordering the same thing every time: 2 lunchboxes, 1 veg, 1 non-veg. Every single week. It's gotten to the point where the staff recognizes me by name and knows my order. Like I said, great service. The value is incredible, and the food has been top-notch. My girlfriend (from India) has said that this is the best Chana Masala she has ever had in her life. Now to the reason for my review. They recently changed something, within the past month or so. New chef, new recipes, I'm not really sure, but the taste has completely changed. The chana has much less flavour and tastes watery, the butter chicken tastes plain, and this goes for a lot of the curries that we were eating with the thali. It's truly a shame, because I loved the atmosphere and the service in this establishment, and I looked forward to the treat of Friday night takeout from New India. With this change I'm not sure if I'll continue. I've been actively looking for a new takeout spot, but what I'd love most is for New India to return to their original flavors.
Mukesh Kalra: Truly Delucious dishes; its taste reminded me of the food served at Indian Royal Weddings. Their Channa Masala and Matar Paneer were scrumptious😋Vegetarian options: Veg Thaali is super.
Makayla Bailey: Came here for the AYCE buffet. Went around 7:30pm- everything was hot but somethings had definitely been sitting for a while (really hard rice was the main issue). Price is very standard, everything was tasty. Would absolutely come again.Recommended dishes Butter Chicken …More

Google Nathan: Great meat and veggie selections.Recommend the buffet since one dish costs the same as an adult to enter the buffet.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options. Great place if you're vegetarian.
Gogul Nathan: Great selection of food for both vegetarians and meat lovers.Buffet makes more sense because the cost for an adult to enter the buffet is the same as ordering oneVegetarian options: There's a whole section dedicated to vegetarian dishes.
Arya Kamdar: Decent food and selections to choose from. Nice atmosphere as well.
Bobby Gill: I love the food here. It’s the best quality and taste. The all you can eat buffet is perfect. I recommend coming here with friends and family.
Apoorva Sharma: I wish i could give less than one star. Please don’t be fooled by the reviews of this place. The reviews said that food was fresh and good quality but that was not the case. I went there for lunch, the naan’s were not fresh. The desserts were stale except for the gulab jamun. There was no flavour in the curries, everything tasted the same. The food was cold!!I told our server almost all of our food was not fresh and he said we should have told him to get the fresh items we wanted. I don’t think its fair, if they see customers are eating they should bring our fresh food. One of the fruit was not restocked and I heard a lady tell the server thrice to refill it but they didn’t. I was so excited to go to this place but it was quite disappointing. Maybe I went at a wrong time but I would suggest you to save your money.

Rick K: Update: they changed the menu and when I asked for the sidecar from the old menu, they didn't make it that way. Its good but this is knocking the place down a full star. I believe they charge and should be better than this.My review is drinks exclusively. They make some killer drinks but to be honest the sidecar is the best by miles. Do yourself a favor and order that first. Look if you hate it, hit me up and I'll buy you a drink somewhere else. Honestly soooo freaking amazing!!!!! Now there's a review, an offer to buy you a drink elsewhere if you hate it. Do yourself a favor, go to notch 8 drinks.

amber mitchell: Had an incredible birthday / early mother's day brunch with my daughter and mom at Notch 8. Every single item from the buffet was exceptional. Ample vegetarian options, and also offered to make fresh vegetarian eggs Benny. We thought it would be a fun fancy treat, more for experience than food but we were wrong. Excellent food all round, fresh, hot, and high quality options. The best part however was the service. Raluca D. was beyond attentive, thoughtful, and we all remarked it was the best service we'd had in recent memory. She also took time to acknowledge my daughter, which helped her have an excellent time also.Excellent and will return, thank you Raluca.
hanh tran: After seeing all the great reviews we decided to try the Cherry Blossom afternoon tea, however, we left pretty disappointed. The tea was okay (7/10), expected a little better for the price. Scones were the best part of the tea set (10/10), sandwiches were okay at best (5.5/10), with the mushroom teriyaki tasting nothing like teriyaki and the katsu meat was too dry and not tender. The dessert tier was thoroughly disappointing (2/10), the cheesecake was grainy, and some of the dessert pairings (cherries with the lemon pound cake) were too contrasting and overpowering. Service was great though but I wouldn't recommend this afternoon tea, not worth $74/person.

Donna So: Lovely little place to dine post shopping trip. Haven’t had a burger in so long and heard the Reuben and classic burger was a good choice so we ordered one of each. Unfortunately today their fryer was not working so there was no fries so we each picked a different soup.We originally wanted to walk-in for afternoon tea but found out it wasn’t offered on a Monday. However, our waiter was such a darling and gave us a tour of the high tea room. This seasons theme was cherry blossoms to celebrate the spring season. We definitely want to check this out before they change the theme next month.
Sitong Liu: A group of us wen there just for drinks, since a couple of us really wanted to try this place! I personally never heard about it, but assuming the location, the atmosphere, the price you pay, should be worth it. While looking at the menu, I noticed that you can customize your drinks by rolling the dice! So I asked the server if we can anything special from rolling the same dice? She mentioned if you roll all 3 dices into the designated number you can get a free drink. 2 of us get excited and wanted to try it. Later, the manager came by with the box and dice and explained that only happy hour would have the free drink rule! Too sad we missed it. Anyways, 2of us rolled the dice and tried this adventurous game, it was alright, nothing special. Mediocre drinks! But I ordered the salted caramel cheesecake, that was AMAZING, perfectly baked, it’s not too condensed and the caramel was just so good! I recommend to try it!

Abby Gemino: I'm not sure why the one star ratings and people saying the food is awful, old, unclean place because my experience this past weekend was the complete opposite. I'm glad I gave it a chance instead of listening to the bad reviews. The food was fresh, tasted great, lots of variety and was constantly replenished the entire time we were there. Tomato bisque soup was delicious along with the scalloped potatoes, noodles, clams and mussels, chicken and roast beef.Staff were friendly and constantly picking up dirty dishes from tables. Good value for what we paid. We will be back again soon : )
Katherine Ouano: Great food. Great tastes. Great service to our party of five. We will be back!
Yasmin deJoya-Pagal: Great food and service! The staff are amazing. I would highly recommend this place.
Sanaz Niki: Worse food I’ve ever had
Kyoko Sundquist: Awful
Gina D: Best casino but the buffet is awful! First time going since covid: the drinks machine was broken, had to track down cutlery, took 5 minutes just to reach the plates section at the buffet line as it was so slow at the carving station and the selection is anything but interesting. I will stick to Chow or Personas going forward.
sal: Honestly don’t know how this place has more than 1 star. Food was the worse I ever have . No taste and old tasting . The area where the food was served , mostly empty and messy with all the dropped food ( when people try to grab food). The kitchen tried to stop serving the meat a hour before closing .paid 73 bucks for 2 people . Worse food I had. I wished I could tell people now to come eat when I saw them come in .
Ibrahim alawad: The buffet here is terrible, the food is either over cooked, undercooked or old. Fruits are old and mushy, cake tastes like icing and batter.
Cristina Giesbrecht: It's really pricey and there isn't that much options of food, as a normal buffet would have, and it doesn't taste good at all. They charge you right at the entrance, and don't even care explaining how it works. The tables were dirty and the staff wasn't friendly.
Mr. Wong: Where's the Beef? Came in during their Lunar Chinese New Year Buffet promotion ($33.99). But the menu was really nothing special stood out - other than egg drop soup, veggie spring rolls, sweet sour pork,etc..nothing really stood out to celebrate the New Year. Even worse, it seemed the "roast beef" station closed around 8:20pm (we got there around 745pm) as we got the last few slices of beef there was - then had to wait almost 30 min for a new roast to come out (other customers were waiting too)..then when it finally came out..it was raw and red..the staff had to quickly throw the beef on the grill but the taste then felt a bit charred and burnt..not a great choice to start the new Lunar Year.
adam kosmoski: worst buffet of all time, don't waste your money, would have way rather went to take sushi 5min away. biggest mistake in a while was going here lastnight...
yfw888: Foods are great and excellent services.
David Wei: 30 dollars for surf and turf special, and all you have is shrimp and clams with beef and lamb? That's what I would have expected from a buffet at regular price, not the 50% extra special theme price.Where's the crab in your surf? Maybe not King crab, but some kind of crab at least. And you made it so that customers have to beg for shrimps from the the meat carver, and he heaps lot of shrimps onto female customers' plates, while he couldn't be bothered to give male customers half that.New experiences I guess, never thought I'd complain about servers in a buffet. And here's a photo of the parking lot as some sort of proof that I was here, and I still have the receipts, to remind me never to come here again.
Tyrone Martin Polanski: OK PLACE
Cee Kai: Food and service was good today
Dustin Ellis: Cold food was warm and the hot food was cold. I can see why they make you pay before eating.

Ratheesh k.r: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sula, an Indian restaurant in commercial street that left me truly impressed. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The first thing that caught my attention was the restaurant's inviting ambience. The interior decor beautifully combined modern elements with traditional Indian accents, creating a cozy and sophisticated atmosphere. Soft lighting, tasteful artwork, and comfortable seating added to the overall charm of the place. Sula managed to strike the perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it an ideal venue for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. Now, let's talk about the service. The staff at Sula truly went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the cuisine they were serving. The servers were quick to offer recommendations, patiently answering all my questions about the menu. Throughout the meal, they made sure that every need was met promptly and courteously. The level of professionalism and friendliness displayed by the staff contributed significantly to the overall enjoyment of my visit. But what truly stole the show at Sula was the food. The menu showcased a wide array of Indian dishes, each prepared with meticulous attention to detail and bursting with authentic flavors. From the aromatic spices to the vibrant colors, every dish was a work of art.To complement the meal, Sula offered an extensive selection of beverages, including a variety of cocktails and a well-curated wine list. I particularly enjoyed the mango lassi, a refreshing and creamy drink that perfectly complemented the spices in the dishes. In conclusion, Sula is a gem among Indian restaurants. The combination of exceptional service, inviting ambience, and outstanding food creates an experience that is second to none. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend visiting Sula.
Alfred De Costa: Nothing against the restaurant or the staff (most the them are quite friendly). The reason for the 2 star is for one particular short guy working there wearing a white necklace at the time, thinks he’s Cinderella. His customer service and attitude is the worst I’ve ever come across in my life. I’ll change my review once the authorities have taught him some etiquette and means of service quality. Thank you.
Metehan Mustafa YALÇIN: Everything is delicious. Just you should clean your dishes properly.
bhavna silhi: The fish and chicken pakodas batter was very thick and bitter and the achari chicken was too sweet and their service was was both quick and slow but in the end the ambience is a 10/10 and very cozy

Aditya Tiwana: Ordered dal makhni, shahi paneer a garlic naan and a tandoori roti. The delivery fee was reasonable, unlike door dash ($5 to coal harbour) The online ordering system they have set up is easy and quick. The food was better than the stuff I ate at Surrey yesterday in a place called Chacha’s ay little india. To everyone in downtown craving Mughali/Indian food, order from here.
Sunena A. Gill: The food was really good but the service at this location was awful! Our dirty plates after appetizers weren't picked up, our mains arrived and no dinner plates came. No one came to follow up if we needed anything after mains arrived because all the servers were busy chit-chatting at the front. And to top it off, I was lied to! I had original resos for 7:15 and when I called to move them to 7:45 I was told they have a reso for our table for 9:30 so we have to leave the table by 9:15. When I checked after our horrible experience turns out the CLOSE at 9:30. 10/10 would recommend the main street location.

Lucy Sherwood: The decor inside is so lovely. Servers are great. Great food, so flavourful! and cocktails were also delicious! We loved it here. Highly recommended! 🍸
Yair Leibovitz: Had lunch today and it was OMG delicious. EVERYTHING was done really well. The service was friendly but the star is the food - worth coming across several Lower Mainland bridges and traffic (marathon today) to get to.
Leanne Asante: Both Sula locations are great but the original on Commercial has a special atmosphere. Never had a dish I didn’t like at either spot.Vegetarian options: Tons of vegan and vegetarian options.Parking: Leave yourself time to find parking on weekend evenings.
John Mah: Great service and decor. Lots of drink options.Vegetarian options: A lot of DF and GF options too.
ਹਰkirt Singh: Bad staff
Alex Migdal: Beautiful space. Food was flavourful and came out fairly fast. Service was poor. I asked our server for a Coke when he brought out our meal. More than 25 minutes went by - he didn’t check in on us and had clearly forgotten. That’s fine. But then he came back with a Coke as we finished our meals and were ready to go. I suspected he had charged me for the second drink. The server provided my partner her receipt but withheld mine. He then passed me the machine with my total. I had to ask for my bill. When he gave it to me, I realize he had charged me for the second drink. I asked him to remove the drink and said it had come after we finished the meal. His behaviour felt sneaky and dishonest. A restaurant with good service would have simply apologized for the wait and comped the drink.
Daisy Jassar: Delicious, authentic food and friendly staff!
