Sterling College: what do users think?
mehrdad zaeri: I worked for this college for almost two years. Here is my feedback:Gender equality = 0, Heads up for guys, if you like to keep the job change your gender.Transparency=0, they never tell what will happen next.Your manager is your boss ! it means whatever she tells you is correct !Rule and policy is for someone who doesn't have connection(specially if you are man) in this organization, otherwise do whatever you like, who cares.Lobbying in work place against someone who always on time and work hard.Toxic work place !
Ishu Chopra: could you please tell me sterling college will provide work permit after completion of course or red deer college?
Jashan Vlogs: I have been studying here from almost 2 months now and its a great experience so far. instructors are great. lectures are interesting. good place to learn,
RANJIT A ODEDRA: How's the part time opportunities in nearby area for international students?
Lovepreet Singh: Can you please tell me this college provide work permit for international student after completion of study or not????
Deejai: An amazing institution that designs programs that prepare students to be well-equipped with knowledge and skills for future career.
Kathelean verna Miranda: Sterling College is very helpful to International Students who are aspiring to be successful in their chosen field-all are doing their best from Admin to Faculty staff . I am glad to have the guidance from my Instructors who are very hands-on to our needs, lectures, reviews in our current program-Post Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Practice and Management and also to our application and other requirements needed in becoming a Nurse here in Canada like English exams &Jurisprudence exams,NCAS,CPRNE which I have successfully accomplished/passed too through perseverance and ofcourse through the continued support from Sterling and my mentors from the college.
Liza Mae El Zarif: I am currently studying here and it is a great experience so far. I feel engaged in the lessons, and the teachers are very skilled in what they do. I hope to learn more in the months to come and will hopefully be able to start my nursing career again.
JOYCE FABRA: An excellent course: it provides students with the concepts and skills necessary for acquiring a nursing license here in Canada. Lectures are clear and well organized. There are extra classes for students to go deeper into the topics (optional) especially if you’re scheduled for an assessment or exams like NCAS, IELTS, CELBAN, CPNRE or NCLEX.
Yui Udon: I like this school because everyone is kind and friendly.
kerokero -: Every one are very kind and I can learn a lot. I want to come back again.
横山ひかり: Everyone is very kind. The class is easy to understand.
Riona A: Every one is kind and we can improve Engrish here.
SAORI WATANABE: This school is good. All staffs are kind and they have 2 japanese staff.

Douglas College Psychiatric Nursing Department: what do users think?
Aaron Bayes: I was in this program for a little over three years. I was passing with mostly A's, but I quit. In no particular order, here are the reasons why:CHEATING. It was surprisingly common, and sometimes quite obvious. It was reported, but I never saw anything done about it. The cheaters have since graduated.TOXIC CULTURE. Students were so friendly at the start, but that changed soon. Cliques formed, and many were left outcast, especially shy or ESL students. Students were quick to tell on one another, often for trivial things that they could have easily helped one another with. As if throwing your classmate under the bus somehow advances you. It was disssapointing, to say the least. I know students from different grad classes, this seems to happen in all of them.UNSCIENTIFIC. Despite boasting about being evidence based, that was often not the case. My addictions textbook had a whole chapter about treating heroin withdrawals with acupuncture. In one class, a former faculty member came and performed reki “energy healing”. She waved her hands around some students, and then through a mix of placebo and social pressure they reported feeling ‘something’. When I questioned the evidence for this, I was told I was not being “open minded”. If your mind is too open, your brain falls out! I asked if I could record the demonstration and was told no. Of course not! The video would have been very embarrassing for the program.I arranged for an expert on science and medicine, Harriet Hall, a.k.a. the SkepDoc, to come give a lecture. It was during a free block and I told everyone, but not a single PNUR faculty member attended.BROKEN PROCESSES. The appeals process is faulty. If a faculty member mistreats you in clinical, it’s your word against theirs. You have to win your appeal to attend the first class of the next clinical rotation, and if you miss the first one, you cannot continue. But a formal appeal, it takes time! And you are mid semester, clinical classes start again in a few days . . .LACK OF SUPPORT. Having trouble in a class? They will send you to the learning centre to find a peer tutor. Classes that everyone takes, like English and math, are available. But usually not nursing specific stuff like Pharmacology or Therapeutic Relations. If that doesn’t work, there is nothing else in place to help you. When applying, I asked what percentage of students finish the program. They were very evasive, and now I think I know why. Based on what I saw, about 2/3 of females graduate, and about ½ of males. Ouch.If you are a veteran, some faculty will assume you have PTSD and talk to you in silly ways. I expect it from some people, but psych nurses should know better. If I did finish this degree, I’m not sure I would tell anyone.Kwantlen has the other Psych Nursing program in BC, I haven’t tried it – but maybe you should.

The layout of the program was amazing for my learning and Jennifer the instructor was always willing to work with me and genuinely cared about my success as an ECE. Everything we learned was very well explained and put together with no need for extra textbooks.I look forward to coming to class everyday and have an amazing time with in person classes.
