Vancouver Memorial Services and Crematorium: what do users think?
Sharon Marshall: There is nothing that prepares you for the knock on the door that tells you your brother is dead. I contacted Vince @ Vancouver Crematorium and all I could manage to say is my brother died in Nanaimo and I need to bring him home… I need to see him! I gave Vince the bare details the RCMP gave me and his response was “I’ll take care of this” and Vince did! He walked me through everything I needed to do, and took care of the things that needed to be done that I didn’t need to personally do. My brother was a painter & Vince created the canvas for my brother to be remembered…. I know he personally set up the chapel for the viewing - there were so many personal touches about memories I had shared ….. I don’t know how I would have gotten through the first days & weeks without Vince’s guiding hand and compassionate ear. There is no amount of money that could ever be paid to say thank-you Vince - you honoured my brother and I a, forever grateful
K T: After a number of years, we could not locate my father's cremation certificate. Vince, the Manager, was so helpful and kind in providing a new copy for us. He went above and beyond in my opinion! Excellent customer service and communication skills. Thank you, Vince!
Mark Liu: Reasonable Price and Friendly Staff
Oscar Cope: Great! they even take walk-ins.
S John Kim: Our funeral director made a point of understanding the family's needs and wishes. The team was incredibly respectful and dignified during the memorial service in guiding everyone. I would recommend them especially Merv our funeral director.
nelskie M: I get nothing but love and compassion💖Kaz and Vince and Staff are wonderful people 💖
Elizabeth MacKinnon: If you are looking for a simple cremation this place is outrageously priced. 450 dollars for a cardboard casket . Affordable cremation charges 35. I had already paid them almost twelve hundred for some services and they wanted to charge me 4,000 dollars altogether i switched to affordable cremation they were faster and more understanding
Alex Lobozar: In a very sad and stressful time, we found the services of Vancouver Memorial to be very helpful and supportive. Would highly recommend their services.
TripleA Florist: We called this funeral home to ask the service time for the funeral. The man who answered the phone is very rude. He said he couldn't tell us. We asked if the funeral is not held in their location. He just hang up the phone. It's weird. The sender who is in the USA ordered the flowers for the funeral for his friend. YOUR STAFF IS VERY RUDE. If the service is not hold in your location, you can just tell us. Why do you just hang up the phone????We have funeral orders everyday, which deliver to funeral home and churches. We have never ever had this kind of situation before. Your company should change other staffs to answer the phone. We could give you 0 star if we can
Kenny Keddy: Kaz was excellent in getting things done in a speedy fashion that was professional and calming. Allowed me to do what I needed to in the 10 days I had.
Vince Man: They handled my Mom's cremation and funeral arrangements with dignity, respect and class. Merv, the funeral director, was helpful and made sure all my concerns addressed. The "business" of death is a sobering experience but the staff at Vancouver Memorial Services and Crematorium were amazing.
Jackie Boston: Vancouver crematorium was recommended to me by a friend when my step father passed away in 2021. Cremation services were arranged by Vincent who was so kind and professional. When my mother died a few months later I didn’t hesitate to call Vincent again. It can be overwhelming when a loved one dies and the staff here were so good at providing clarity, compassion and caring.
Kourosh Edalati: Merv, Vince, Sandy and the entire team at Vancouver Memorial Services and Crematorium are class act! They went above and beyond to help us with the funeral services for my father. The were accommodating with their time and expertise all provided with compassion and empathy. I highly recommend them if you need professional, compassionate and expedited service for your love one.
lara varona: Vincent - I just wanted to say thank you again for everything you did for my family during the most difficult time. Your kindness and compassion were so appreciated. You are definitely in the right line of work - I can't think of anyone more suited to assist grieving families navigate the challenging and heartbreaking time after a loved one passes. Thank you from the bottom of my heart especially, for our heart to heart talks and for sharing your personal experience with me. I continue to feel comfort through the signs my Dad sends.
VCMoongem C: Vince and the team at the Vancouver Crematorium were terrific in handling the coordination and cremation of our sweet mother. They were patient, kind and caring. Very easy to deal with and responded to inquiries swiftly. We're grateful for their assistance.
Thomas Tsang: Great service and follow up from the funeral director Merv.
A. James: The staff made the entire process seamless and effortless which is exactly what one needs during a time of loss and unusual stress. Thank you!
Kim Richmond: I was very touched and comforted by the care and attention given to me by Vince at Vancouver Memorial Services. He walked me through some difficult steps when my son died, quelled my worries and talked of my passed family member with respect and care.
David Ward: Top notch experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.
Colin Edmundson: The lady who helped us with my dear friend's memorial was very friendly and compassionate. I was only an attendee, so I can't speak to financial dealings, but it went very smooth, and she was excellent. Her presence during such an unsettling time was very much appreciated
donna dashner: Just want to mention the excellent service we got from Kaz Montgomery.

Kearney Funeral Services: what do users think?
Jose Carlos: My mom recently passed away and our family had previously used Kearney funeral services for my dad's funeral 8 years previously , we knew as a family we were going use them again , I met with Jeannette and she helped me through the process and she was brilliant , the staff on the funeral day was amazing and made the day go easier for our family on a difficult day , highly recommended and we as a family want to thank everyone at Kearney for everything they did for our mother ❤️
Jillian Mac Phail: We used Kearney Funeral services to put my husband to rest. I was apprehensive about meeting with them because I didn't know what to expect. Jeanette Fong met us on a Saturday and walked us through everything. She was kind, understanding and didn't hesitate to make sure I understood everything that was going to happen. I felt understood, safe and that my wishes with how my husband was to be treated were being valued and understood. No one hopes to have to go to a funeral home, but Jeanette made this process one that, were it my time, my family would be cared for the same way. Thank you Jeanette Fong for helping me through this experience. You are a credit to your profession and I am so glad it is you holding our hands through this process.
Bob Metcalfe: Hannah Lamberte was our director and she was so helpful in taking us through what was needed and the choices that we had. The service was in the New Westminster facility. The chapel was well laid out and the staff were great. We had catered refreshments afterwards, and the service and the food again were excellent. Thank you so much to all the Kearney staff for your help, you were awesome.
Al Fedyk: Dealing with a death in the family is never easy. I found Kearney Funeral Services made this situation a profoundly positive experience. I was fortunate to be able to deal with Hannah Lamberte as our funeral director. I found her to be extremely professional and compassionate about our situation. She clearly explained all options and calmly explained to any disenfranchised feeling members of the family why particular procedures must be followed. She was lovely to deal with and I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again and would ask if she could be our funeral director when the need arises. She went beyond the call of duty to obtain a priest when all lower mainland priests were doing required training on the day of my mom’s funeral service. She was very resourceful and made it happen. We received lots of compliments from those attending as to the priest who celebrated and the organist/singer, obtained by Hannah, who played the musical part of the service beautifully. I sincerely hope Hannah will be our funeral director with the Kearney team in the future. Kearney Funeral Services we thank you for making our mom’s funeral service and burial a truly joyous celebration.
Olive Jane Recuenco: Kearneys provided us with amazing service. Ethelyn and Hannah did such a wonderful job catering to our family’s needs and we can’t thank you enough.
Jesinta S: A beautiful venue, with such lovely coordinators. Thank you all for making this day special.
Cosmo Kwan: Friendly staffs, historic decors, cleaned and peaceful. Abit chilly ( A/C ) during the services but services and staffs was great.
Scott McCullough: n October of 2020 our brother was admitted to the hospital in Vancouver and passed away a few days afterwards. Can you imagine no family members in Vancouver all of us here in Ontario, the covid pandemic preventing us from being there. Our bother warned us do not come it is not safe. "I will worry about you.' We are a big family from Newfoundland originally and we were with our brother through conference call right to the end. I did a google search and was looking for a family owned funeral home. I checked the reviews and got a good vibe. After discussing Kearney with my siblings and children we went Kearney. I called Kearney and was connected to Matt Kaiser. He immediately offered his condolences and offered to help us make those last decisions for our brother. Little did we know what a wonderful connection Matt Kaiser would turn out to be. Kearney and Matt did an incredible job of making all the arrangements. Long distance removes the personal touch that you get form being there. At this difficult time, Matt represented our family and made us feel like we were there. Matt you went above and beyond to help us. We will not forget this. From the bottom of our hearts Don Corbett's family thanks you. As Newfoundlanders we offer you this "if you find yourself in the Province of Newfoundland at some time in the future, please let us know in advance as an arrangement will be made to have you made an honorary Newfoundlander". Thank you so much Matt.
Crishnalyn Delleva: I would like to commend Samuel Li and Alicia for the amazing work they have done for us. Not only have they shown a great deal of professionalism through diligently following up all the little important details of the organization of the funeral, memorial and burial services, but a great deal of respect. We never felt compelled to pay for things we did not need. We wanted a simple but elegant service, and that was exactly what they did for us. They are real gems. Thank you for the beautiful way you have accompanied us in this moment of trial. Even though we were not of close acquaintances, we felt like we were treated as friends.
L. Fee: When your parent passes away your mind goes blank....you’re ready but you’re never ready. The moment I made the phone call in the middle of the night to Kearney‘s Funeral Home they calmly professionally took over - I just felt the pressure and stress just melt off my shoulders. The next morning Athena, the operations manager, contacted us and within a few days everything was planned and all we had to do was concentrate on our family and friends.I can’t stress enough how easy it was to let them take over, always respecting our wishes and left you feeling proud that you had done your best for your parent.Thank you Athena and your amazing staff.Lori & Annette
Ian Nickerson: Kearney Funeral Services made the unpleasant experience of arranging my father's cremation as simple and as painless as I could possibly have hoped for. I worked with Matt Kaiser, who was patient, professional, and accommodating throughout the process. He helped me to honor my late father's wishes, and I'm extremely grateful for that. I also found Brionney's supportive and understanding presence at reception invaluable. Thank you both!
R Partaik: DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANYHad originally set up my 92 year old mother service with Kerneys funeral home. They sent me a price list and set up a meeting the price sheet showed for a basic cremation 1900.00confirmed in the morning with them in the morning before my meeting and they said actually no the price is wrong. There is a charge for cremation and box to hold body. I said how much is that 1000.00 . I said that is false advertising and told them to go ho hell. 2900.00 and they straight out lied. When a person is in grief how can they do that.I called Amherst funeral and cremation services and talked with a lovely lady who told me to go on line and fill in info and call back. So i did and call them and they took care of everything. Received my mother back 7 days later. And that was on a Sunday.I will be filing a complaint against kerneys funeral home with the competitions bureau.Wow what amazing service and for the same service.Yes 890.00Thanks for making my day a little better
Rainbow Wong: Christina Koh had really did a great job in helping me to handle the difficult times when my uncle passed away a month ago. She is patient and kind to guide me through all the required documentations and procedures. Bearing in mind that I station overseas. She had helped me saving my time in staying in Vancouver. She is a reliable and trust worthy person. Her service is excellent! Thanks very much Christina!
Robert Stewart: I found Christina Koh to be a patient and caring individual who listen to what my mother's wishes were and then provided me with the required options to meet my mother's requirements. Under Christina's guidance the whole process was easy and painless, plus the she did an excellent job of explaining the rest of the process using the company supplied information package. Robert. Stewart
Francis Quian: The way Mike Garusto from KearneyFuneral Vancouver explain in details the processes of how everything will playout during that difficult moment he made it look easy and everything will be taken care off. He is very professional and he make sure that we understand when he answered our inquiries. Highly recommend Mike and the team of Kearney funeral Vancouver.there's no pressure take your time approach.
Jennifer Funaro: We contacted Kearney for their services to deal with our close friend’s husband death. Christina Koh was an asset in ensuring our little details and scheduled dates were met. Her strong Mandarin & Cantonese skills were very helpful. Thank you for assisting us during this difficult time.
Forrest McKnight: They took good care of everything. Wonderful and helpful staff.
Melanie Leung: Kearney provided the utmost care when a loved one passed away over the holidays. From my initial contact with Megan, to Athena, who handled all our arrangements, we had the best possible experience during a difficult and emotional time.We never felt like any products were pushed on us and Athena led us in all the options and decision making. Her care and attention to detail made everything go as seamlessly as possible and we were able to pay attention to the time shared with our loved ones and not have to worry about whether things were being taken care of. We completely trusted in Athena and Kearney to carry our wishes out, and we were not disappointed. It's quite overwhelming, planning the arrangements during a passing of a close relative and there are so many things to decide, but the best choice we could have made was choosing Kearney as our funeral home. I really can't echo our appreciation enough.
Paul Clarke: Thank you Kearneys for your kindness, respect and expertise while helping our large family with Mom and Dad's funeral. Every detail was thoughtfully looked after. With appreciation during this difficult time,Paul Clarke
Ellen Fairn: Love Kearney's Funeral Home. Both my Dad and Mom passed away in early 2016. Mike and Ryan Crean took care of everything from start to finish. The entire staff from Kearney's were professional, compassionate, and very attentive to our every need.I highly recommend Kearney's Funeral Home . . . a family owned business that handled every aspect of our parent's funerals with the sensitivity and ease needed at such a difficult time.Forever grateful,Ellen Fairn
Elizabeth Haemmerle: Death is never an easy thing to deal with, but Kearney's made the death of my father even harder to handle. I live out of the country and it took a while for the Trustee to locate me, but once I was located I immediately took over my father's estate and in turn, his body. The funeral director I dealt with was wonderful at first, then the problems began. I was notified via email that Kearney's had put my father in the wrong casket for cremation (they left him in the one the Trustee had scheduled to burry him in) and that they changed my signed contract to reflect the price difference and that I owed them close to an additional $500. Yes, that's correct, they changed a legal document signed by both parties and tried to have me pay for their mistake. That did not sit well with me and I responded to their email with refusal and advised them that I would be accountable for our originally signed contract. I received no response from them. A week later, my cousin tried to pick up my father's remains for me and was told that they were not ready. Kearney's had the cremated remains for a week and a half. All that I had requested was that the ashes be put into 2 bags in 1 temporary urn, and I was told by my funeral director that this had been completed almost a week before my cousin went to pick it up. I finally made it to town and went to Kearney's to pick up my father's remains. I was rushed into a small room and waited about 10 minutes for delivery. My request of 2 bags in 1 urn was not honored as I received 2 urns (I was shocked that they didn't try to charge me for the extra urn). I asked for another bag as it was awkward to carry 2 urns in 1 bag and waited for another 5 minutes for a bag. Thank goodness they took their time bringing me the bag because I realized that they didn't bring me the Death Certificates! I actually had to ask for the Certificates! I finally received all I needed and left. I was in Vancouver for a week (I went to Kearney's on Monday) and the experience was still bothering me Friday. I called to speak with a manager or owner, but apparently they are not in the office often and I was told to call back. I called back Saturday and spoke with a manager. I was just looking for an apology, but I had to beg for one. The man I spoke to didn't see anything wrong with my story. How could not giving the next of kin the Death Certificates not be an issue? I have waited several weeks to write this review and I am just as revolted by Kearney's today as I was the day I was there. I feel confident that you will be able to find a more ethical and moral place to handle the death of your loved one than Kearney's.

Esperance Mukeshimana: I walked in at their door step in the most vurnerable state after being treated like a garbage woman by another funeral home. Julienne and Polly from Mount Pleasant Universal Funeral Home treated us with kidness, respect and compassion, to the point I felt so connected with them and able to trust them with my son's body. These two women became a part of our son's journey on earth, I will forever be grateful for their service and praying God to expend their services beyond boarders. Thank you so much for understanding our pain and grief, giving in enough time in planing, giving us time to spend with baby boy before the burial . You are not in business , you are providing service. Thank you so much Julienne for letting me cry on your shoulders🙏
John Leung: We lost my father a few weeks ago and chose Mount Pleasant Funeral Home from previous experience of others using the facility. Johnny was so helpful and helped my family during this tough time. When losing someone suddenly, it's a blessing to know there are services that can help with everything to relieve the pressure and stress a family is already experiencing.I highly recommend Mount Pleasant. They took care of everything we needed and explained every detail and option for my family. We're grateful they also took care of the correspondence between the cemetery and made some arrangements for us to ease us doing it ourselves. All staff were very professional.
Sherry Kallergis: At a time of intense personal upheaval Gillian and Polly brought efficient calm to the funeral planning of a loved one. From start to finish they orchestrated every component within one meeting. We are forever grateful.
Julie Connolly: When someone passes it can be a difficult time and often requires special care and attention. Tony Hicks, Funeral Director at Dignity Memorial, went above and at every turn to attend to our family's needs. The venue was beautiful as well and had many excellent amenities such as a built in screen and projector, podium and microphone and even a working fireplace, which my mother also had so it was a lovely touch to be able to light it during her service. Thank you so much for everything Dignity Memorial and especially to you Tony Hicks. We are deeply grateful.
Sandy Chau
Parker Yuan: Service and Experience were all great. Was able to say farewell to my loved one, one last time. Thank you very much!
Jim Platis: Very caring company and Tony is one of the nicest and sincere people I have ever met.
Shana Bain: Losing a family member, particularly a mother, is a tremendous loss to any family. From the funeral director to the staff everyone made planning and carrying out my moms service gratefully simple. The facilities and hearse were very nice. One would hope they would not need to return to such a venue but it is inevitable so when the time comes we will only use Mount Pleasant Universal Funeral Home. Thank you.
David: Gillian Wong was very helpful and professional from the first day I contacted her and managed to get me in to meet with her to make funeral arrangements the same day my dad passed away as I lived in the suburbs and I was in Vancouver. Her assistant Sara was also very helpful with the online obituary, webinar information, funeral pamphlets and signing register. Very helpful from start to finish.
Ben&Jenny Lau: Johnny is a very care concern director. He seems understand our tough situation, and do many favor for us, like dropping off the Death Certificate to my home at night time. We really appreciate his service.
Mike Cheung: Very disappointed. I had called Mount Pleasant Funeral Home while my late grandmother was still in the hospital to gather information and figure out next steps regarding funeral arrangements. Mount Pleasant provided useful information and was very helpful.Once my grandmother passed, I called them back to do the necessary next steps. To my dismay, I had called 3 times, left 3 messages with the receptionist for a funeral director to call back, and no one called back.It was a stressful time, and our family felt that time was of the essence as we wanted to make all the necessary arrangements for my late grandmother sooner rather than later. I was very disappointed that the funeral home had not returned my call. I ended up going with another funeral home in Richmond, and they provided fantastic service.
Anastasia Balomenos: During this difficult time Tony and the team at mount pleasant took care over everything . Their assistance throughout was amazing and seamless.
Maria K: Such personalized service and we had access to the funeral director immediately. He was able to organize and prepare everything that we needed for a service the same day we spoke. This was a huge relief! Thank you so much for your support on a difficult day.

Amherst Funeral and Cremation Services: what do users think?
Peter J: Amherst staff were efficient, and understanding. Really appreciated the home visit afterwards.
Lisa Reino: Very kind and professional. Extremely helpful with respect to filling out paperwork and explaining options to choose from.
Bryan Potter: Amherst Funeral was recommended to me by a close friend and I am sooo very happy that I followed through and had them take care of my needs for my family member. They were very Professional, & caring and Jessica was so very Helpful and showed genuine Empathy for my loss and I would recommend them to anyone needing their services and hope my Executor uses them for when my needs when my time comes. Sincerely, Bryan Potter.
kim gerelus: Jessica the representative was so compassionate so kind and accommodating the funeral home treated me and my Family with respect and my Mom was looked after from the start I would tell all what a great Funeral Home Sincerely Kim Gerelus
Trina Killam: I gave them 1 stars for the decent service at first..Then they were THE WORST. staff named Jessica said they don't do services there. I found out they do. My brother was listed as my father on the condolences sheet. When my brothers ashes were picked up there was someone in lobby waiting for appt. while they were all eating on 5th floor. I complained and never heard back. They are cheap, but it shows in the quality.
Reiko Coldwell: The staff was condescending, disorganized, patronizing, and demeaning. Nothing we asked of them, could be completed. They did NOTHING to make the loss of our loved one a smooth transition. They ignored emails, and lied and said all their calls had been answered. Honesly, most childish group of people to deal with, ever. Shared screen grabs of facebook messages, and had little to no care that a loved one just had passed.I ABSOLUTELY love their response, and how they've helped to exactly show how ridiculous and childish they have been to deal with. You should try your hand at writing fiction, you absolutely have a knack for it.Don't use this company. They aren't about professionalism, compassion and caring.
Hannah Dunbar: I would give no star if I could. When grieving a lost one and trying to sort out family matters I expect to be welcomed. The way that Christian handled my family matters was incentive and completely unprofessional. I would not recommend their services.
Paul Donovan: I just need to say one thing to be very clear. The couple that are posting very negative reviews here are either from the competition or from people that dialled the wrong number or from people that have some kind of unrealistic expectations because of their grief. Let’s get something else very clear. These people helped our family. BIG time. Some years ago when I knew my Mother was not well and because I would be away for some time, I decided to make arrangements with Amherst to do what we wanted for her (in case she passed while I was away) before we left so my siblings would not be left in a lurch. It did happen, mom did pass while we were away and my siblings were with her at the end when she went to heaven and then the people at Amherst came to the fore and were great. They were HUGE stress relievers for my siblings and us. Thank you so much for doing what you do.This is a little bit emotionally draining so another time I will like to share with you my most recent experience with Amherst. Which was again more than five stars.Sorry for the grammar .
Fran Miller: I am absolutely impressed with Amherst company and service from my first inquiry to the delivery of Mom’s ashes. Everything has been done exactly as they promised, on time, and so simple for us. A very professional service and a fraction of the cost of some other companies. Thank you!
Terrence G: Professional and Thorough. Can't beat the Value. No surprises.
Jasmine Beierle: The staff at Amherst were so compassionate and professional. They made the process very easy during this difficult time. I used them for cremation services for both my mother and father and would highly recommend them!
John A: Amherst provided value and delivered on everything they said they would deliver on as an organization. However, I would advise that if you choose to go with Amherst (and I wouldn't dissuade anyone from doing so), that you ensure you are very thorough and meticulous with your record-keeping, and ensure that the staff you are speaking with is concise. So much confusion (and maybe a little bit of money) could have been saved had I just held my representative more accountable.
Dco: It was a blessing to find Amherst. Their website shows different packages with itemized breakdown. No surprises and no hidden fees. Easy to upload the documents needed. Jessica was so helpful, patient and compassionate. She explained all the details and what to expect which was very much appreciated. Everything was handled smoothly and with care. Thank you Jess for all your help in this difficult time.
Leslie Todd: The Amherst community was very kind, patient and compassionate during one of the most difficult times. They arranged everything and I knew my loved one was in capable, sensitive hands.
Mark Mags: Quite literally the most unimaginably unprofessional funeral directors we've ever had the misfortune to require. The choice of language describing our loved ones journey was simply horrifying. If you desire dignity, respect, compassion and a professional service DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! Totally shocked this standard of service can even be licensed to operate. A disgrace.
Vivian Gerber: Having the ability to make arrangements online was very convenient as my siblings and I are all in different cities. They were professional and made the process easy in a time of unexpected grief.
Betty Carter: I found my friend neighbor and companion passed away at home nobody gave me support but Amherst did they provided with me step by step everything I needed to do constantly stayed on the phone with me the staff was so caring and compassionate fast and professional their services was beyond amazing I would highly recommend Amherst funeral and cremation the staff have great etiquette the delivery of the ashes was beautiful and respectful I can't thank them enough they are the Elite is the only word I can express and affordable classy and just all around a really amazing experience I would highly recommend them. Kindest Regards Betty

Leslie Brown: If I could give ten stars I would. The staff were always very compassionate and helpful. For the very reasonable price of $845, my brother was cremated and personally delivered to me along with his death certificate, including 10 copies. The package that came also had a list of what needs to be done next. I am forever grateful!
Daniel Chong: Great package selection, professional service!

angela di giacomo: my family and I were very impressed with the service and staff at Hamilton. they did not pressure us into anything that we did not request or require and was very accommodating in our needs especially since we had to change the date of the cremation due to weather(snow). I highly recommend them as they take very good care of your loved ones and to your family with grace and understanding.
KC O: We have nothing but kind words for the services provided by Hamilton Harron Funeral Home's entire team. They offer not just a "package" of services, rather, they are truly invested in accommodating the family's needs and personal requests. At first, we had no idea on what we had to, nor where we'd have to begin after the sudden passing of our mother. We are very grateful that they have walked us through the process without having to make us feel that we are dealing a "business transaction" on top of our grieving. They made sure that we didn't feel burdened by the preparations. To sum it up, they truly exceeded our expectations. Our family and friends were also very impressed with how they've professionally delivered their services. We definitely recommend Hamilton Harron Funeral Home. Thanks again for everything.

Look, people this lady is perfect in love for you to get what you need. She was hands on throughout the entire process. She cares! She loves! If it was not from the sound of her voice from the beginning, knowing that she cares. I won’t not have Hamilton the home for father’s memorial. She and her team was that great. She is like family..!
renee richardson rhodes: The'facility is lovely but we were in the secondary viewing room due to the attendance. No air flow or a/c on and was stiffling. Viewing tv for the service was only on for a short time and cut out so had no viewing memorial.

Raincoast Funeral and Cremation Services Ltd.: what do users think?
No Name: I recommend raincoast funeral service! Michelle was very helpful throughout the funeral arrangement experience and she is an excellent communicator. Everything went according to plan with no hiccups. The service provided by Raincoast was exactly what our family needed to say goodbye. The cost of service was also very reasonable and communicated clearly.
just Rachel: Michelle is very accommodating and helpful. Cannot thank everyone from Raincoast more.
Carter Crawford: 11/10 would recommend!! Michelle was so helpful throughout the whole process. She responded so quick to any questions we had, and laid out everything so well. She showed genuine support and care when it came to expediting our cremation request. She went above and beyond to provide extra copies of documents, and she checked in with us after the process was complete.
Stephanie Power: My interaction with the funeral services at Rain coast was memorable. It was first time I had ever seen or was offered the option of a decorated casket - on the inside of the casket. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. The staff dressed my Aunt in her desired clothing and created a garden inside the casket with silk flowers around her and an arbor above her head. She truly looked so beautiful; my only regret is that I didn’t take a picture of it.The staff walked me through the entire process of what was to be expected throughout the course of the funeral and was right by my side – literally. Rain coast services were available 24 hours a day, got back to me immediately and never kept me waiting. The staff gave me all the paperwork that I needed upfront so that the progression of her end of life went as smoothly as could be. There were a lot of choices to choose from for caskets, floral arrangements and additional services.Lastly, Rain coast had knowledgeable staff with a calm, patient and peaceful environment.I could not have fulfilled my Aunt’s wishes without the confidence that Rain coast provided me with.Thank you so much for all of your help, you have made a difficult time memorable with all the consideration and compassion that was extended to me.

Jessica Fung: Very grateful for the help and support and service…
Manxia Wang: A few days ago, my mother passed away unfortunately, and just as the epidemic was raging, my brothers and sisters could not come to Vancouver to help with the funeral, which put even heavier pressure on my sad mood. Fortunately, I met Mr. Yaosen Yang while dealing with funeral matters. He provided me with very careful, patient and professional service and advice. When we didn't understand, no matter how late he answered the phone, he answered all questions. He even drove us to the crematorium and sent us home. He solved many difficulties for us and relieved a lot of my pressure. My mom's memorial service will go well. Here, on behalf of our whole family and friends, I would like to express my high respect and heartfelt thanks to Mr. Yaosen Yang for his serious and responsible work attitude and compassionate and humanitarian service spirit. , felt the warmth of the world.
Jue Wang: The recent tragic passing of my mother has left our family in deep grief. Fortunately, I met Mr. Yaosen Yang while dealing with her funeral. He provided us with very professional and attentive service and advice. When we needed it, he even came to our house at night, patiently answered our questions and handled relevant procedures for us in a timely manner. Saved us a lot of trouble. Patrick John Yu: Working with Victor Lee at Richmond Funeral Home has been a pleasure. He made things easy to pre-arrange and made sure to help me understand every detail. More importantly, I’m secured to know that my best interests are looked after.
R J: This is always a tough subject to plan for but this company has the BEST person to put you at ease and plan well. His name is Yao Sen Yang, and he has got to be one of the best sales people I've experienced in Canada. He is through, empathetic, professional, extremely prompt, caring and NOT pushy at all. Best of all, he can find humour in pre-planning a funeral, which always helps when discussing a sensitive topic. I highly recommend speaking to Yao when your pre-planning need arises.
Iris Hu: I wanted to say "thank you" to Richmond funeral home, especially to Mr. Yaosen Yang! He took care my family member's arrangement just like he is one of our family members. Listening carefully, carrying out exactly what my family member wished! Yaosen made the whole process smoothly, from the time of passing till the interment took place. I highly recommend each of you to talk to him, especially Chinese Families, he speaks both Mandarin & Cantonese. And have him to arrange everything for your loved ones. It's worth it for you to talk to Mr. Yang, and have your own final arrangements set up with Richmond Funeral Home!Thank you!
Kayla Wei: 四月碰到人生中最伤心的事情,Yaosen Yan的专业服务能让家人在伤心的时候感到温暖。
Helen Veloso Chow: I personally wanted to say thank you & very happy to met Terry Kim at the time of my greatest needs before my husband's passing. Terry had given me support and understanding when it was most needed. He also did our preplanning for my passed husband & I which made me more confident that I had put our affairs in order.I am very thankful to everybody & everything that they had done for my husband's service & everything afterward. Thank you . Helen
Lisa MacNeil: Richmond Funeral Home staff is more than staff....they ARE family! From Christa to Jared to Terry to Erin and Erin to Larry. They took the time to listen and accommodate my wishes. Both of my parents passed away in 2020, 11 weeks apart. My funeral advisor both times, Christa, treated each service as unique and personalized to match my requests. There is no cookie cutter approach here. I feel so good about both Mom and Dad's send off as they were very special. Thank you for all your support when I needed it so much.
April Peng: Yaosen Yang is very nice guy. He is very helpful!
K Houston: My Mom lived until 102 years old. She prepared her funeral 40 years ago, in a different city, and with a different funeral home. She was grandfathered into this one. I know this couldn't have been an easy contract to fulfill. So much had changed, but Christa made it so so so easy for me. She's kind, engaging, efficient and flexible. She was reassuring and warm. I'm so very grateful. If I could give more stars I would.
Darren Lin: Good service, and I would like to thank Mr Yao Sen Yang for being so helpful with my mom's funeral.
RL Hoegler: Larry went over and above to accommodate our family. I can’t say enough about how he went out of his way to ensure everything went well for all aspects of our loss and funeral. His commitment was unparalleled. Erin was also very engaged with us and we really appreciated her presence. A fantastic team that supported us all the way. Thanks again Larry and Erin!
Lauren Van Berkel: Absolutely incredible staff. Caring, compassionate, honest and so helpful. They really went over and above anything I expected or could ask for. Christa, Victoria and all the staff made a very difficult painful experience a lot easier to deal with. I felt they treated me as they would their own family.
Mylinh Tran: Due to my mother's tragic death, we used this funeral home for her service. Since the very 1st phone call to the cremation, The customer service was fantastic. Victoria was the funeral director that was helping our family. Any question or concerns that we had, she found a way to figure it out or help us. Everything went smoothly. The service was fantastic. would recommend this funeral home if you ever need their service.
Suiti Latu: My family and I will be forever grateful to Benjamin, Christa and the Richmond Funeral home for their absolute kindness, professionalism and empathy during one of the saddest times for our family.
R CHAN: FIVE STAR-PLUS LIFE EXPERIENCE: First of all, my most humble belated apologies to all of the Richmond FH staff for the apparent delay in submitting this review: you folks deserve better from this (pre-COVID 19) customer. SPOILER ALERT: healing takes time...Secondly--and especially for the benefit/reference of future clients--the staff at RFH truly went the extra distance when it came to having to address the funeral services/options following my father's passing last fall (Sept 2019). Following a thorough, logical but very empathetic first appointment, Erin & Terry helped our family to deal with most of the important details leading to what was eventually requested: a low-key but dignified and timely cremation. Great understanding and empathy of the salient cultural background/practices, cannot emphasize this enough!FYI: To spare yourselves of the 'heavy emotion' of this inevitable task, please, please make the effort and apply the time to consult with the Richmond FH staff AHEAD OF TIME...by thoughtfully planning/committing to such a final service appointment up front, will make the subsequent follow-up considerably easier for all, especially during this challenging COVID-19 time!Thirdly, RFH went well above the call of duty in the subsequent follow-up to their service policy/pkg. Towards this end an honorable mention has to go to Christa as well in helping our family to close one chapter and move forward to the next one in life.Finally--RFH has made a practice to host a very poignant annual collective memorial/celebration of sorts towards year end that we were invited to attend. In spite of the broader timing, I felt this was very very worthy, well organized, a very thoughtful gesture of goodwill especially during the Christmas season, and especially during that 'year of firsts'.Again, many many humble thanks to Erin and her team...the city of Richmond/Vancouver should be so fortunate to provide a service that we'll likely never fully appreciate. But this is one person who is grateful for the experience. Be calm be courteous and be safe to all--in 2020 & beyond...!
Matt Meng: I was fortunately to have the funeral house helped me to arrange my father’s funeral. During the difficult time, the staff, Yaosen Yang, made it easier and stress-free for me. He was very respectful, patient, empathetic, professional and detail oriented. I highly recommend this funeral home, and highly recommend Mr. Yang’s essential services.

Walkey & Co Funeral Directors: what do users think?
Ross Franchi: Thank you George. Ross and Laura Franchi. Gulfport Mississippi
Kazumi John: George Walkey guided us through the end of life process with compassion and attention to detail. He carefully explained all the options to us, and accommodated our wishes. A larger memorial service was not possible due to COVID precautions, and instead, George arranged for a private service in the crematorium chapel for the immediate family which was most comforting. Mark at Walkey & Co coordinated mom's memorial several years previously and he was also excellent. They are very reasonably priced and professional. I was very satisfied with their services and recommend them highly.
Owen Barclay: I was introduced to George through our church. I simply can not say enough about the company and its representatives. They conducted themselves perfectly while providing services to my family during a very difficult time. I could not have scripted it better. He is such a nice man and clearly understands what it takes to support his clients. His rates were more than fair. We were happy to pay him. Thank you George from ALL my family!
John Clarke: We had a very comforting experience with the recent passing of our mother. Our contact, Mark, with whom we were in touch with before mom passed, was extremely helpful, came to mom's house and discussed things with her children. After mom passed, Mark was sympathetic, helpful. We are grateful for his expertise, communication and professionalism. We highly recommend. Thanks Mark.
