Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre: what do users think?
Lenore H: Went for Lamb of God back in October and loved it! Still think about this concert from time to time. Just wish the lines for the concession stands were better as it can take quite a long time.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …More
Anne-Marie Tremblay-Alvarez: It’s an alright stadium, had overpriced food that was nowhere near fresh though. Not many bathrooms so wait times for the women’s bathroom is guaranteed.Visited on Weekday Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Yes …More
295: Theres a manager named terrah she is very rude to the security guards, keep on complaining to the supervisors about small things. I was having food from the catering where the servers told me that i can have it for which i didnt even asked about in the first place. so first day she complained it to my supervisor that i was having food in the lunch area and then the other day she snatched the food from me when i was taking it on my break and told me that i can take only when theres leftover. After that i never went back to that catering floor, i really felt embarrassed. I am never coming back here again to work. She just complained about me for the food.
Chloe MacDonald-Chow: Went to a concert. The staff were great there were no incidents and the expectations were set before we entered the building. They did a fantastic job of hosting this concert.
Dee Lo: Great ice-rink
yai vongsaphay: We came here for Jackson Wang concert. The venue is spacious, plenty of parking . It was nice that they had separate entry for floor and reserved seating. It made entering and exiting run smoothly.
Hana Taylor: Pretty decent stadium. They have a water fountain. Had to discard our umbrellas which in Vancouver is kinda troublesome.
nicola mcmanus: Facilities are lacking, not enough kisoks & menu is limited.
Sharon Tanner: Great venue, but the seats are small and no leg room if you're tall. Felt like a sardine
Keith Scott: Saw the Lewis Capaldi concert here and was super happy with the seats, unobstructed views from all seats and the size of the venue means that even if you’re at the back you’re still close to the action. Have been to other smaller stadiums like this and found the audio to have a heavy echo, it was only very light here. The space on the concourses is quite open for a packed house, the concession lines are easily identifiable and move fairly fast considering the amount of people. Limited food and drink selections but to be expected for a venue of this size. My only recommendation is GET THERE EARLY, parking is extremely limited and you really want to be on level 1 or level 2 of the parking garage or you can plan to sit for a while. Once you’re out traffic management is handled very well. Oh! I forgot to mention all of the staff were courteous and helpful as well.
Janessa Irene: We went to see Lewis Capaldi in concert here and the sound system was great. The queuing outside for floor seating took some time but the venue itself was decent. The only issue we had was had we not been on the floor, seeing the concert would have been a little tricky.Leaving the venue after the concert was an experience. Due to surge pricing, Uber prices quadrupled, the line for the bus was ridiculously long and the parking lot was great if you have your own vehicle. Overall a good venue though!
Kush (wacybaccy): Good stadium, needs better exits for big events.
Blake McRitchie: Terrible bar service setups for a full capacity concert event. Whoever is in charge of running the bars and staffing should give their head a shake.
Katherine Lauriente: I have gone to this sports medicine clinic for two reasons. In the past I've been to see their excellent physiotherapy staff and today I had my knee drained and cortisone put in. Totally professional experience, clean, fast, they were happy to explain exactly what they were doing and I felt completely confident when I was there, that I was getting the best possible care.
David Laing: Wide concourse, your pick of fantastic seats at center ice, decent concession prices.
Kristine Cavey: Saw Jim Gaffigan here.Pros: staff were great. Friendly, patient, helpful. Concession had the usual offerings. Great view of the stage and screens. Floors were not sticky, which is so common in stadiums.Neutral: I didn’t get chance to check out the washrooms. There was a mix up and people were in our seats. The staff do not help with this. I had to call out these people myself.Cons: Only one way in. On a cold and rainy day, standing outside in a HUGE line up was not fun. Getting in and out in a car is horrendous. Took at least 30 min extra to get into the parkade and another 45 min to get out (parked on the very top floor). For that reason, we’ve decided not to attend any big events here anymore (sadly).
Oti Hiltz: We went to see Jim Gaffigan last night- Jan 15th- at this venue. The entry into the stadium was ok but there was only two ways to get to our seats in the floor. This caused significant delays as we had to circle around the whole building to get to our seats. The show was excellent- so funny and great timely material from JG- but the crowd “control” after the show ruined it. We had to wait 15minutes to squeeze off the floor through the same doors that were servicing the entire upper tiers of the stadium. Once in the atrium of the stadium there was only one way out- all other exits blocked off needlessly- so we circled back in a literal crush of people to the main doors. Not a safe situation and it took us over 30 minutes to move 100 meters to the doors. The worst and most dangerous crowd control I have seen in North America
Paul Gallant: This is the worst venue I have ever attended for any event. Access to the floor has ONE entrance, parking is a nightmare. I will never attend here again for anything
Brodie May: Venue is nothing special but nothing to compalim about its am arena, however the privaye security are increbly rude, instantly clearing the building after the event, asked multiple times to leave while waiting for family in the bathroom
Qays Omeria: Went to this Spot in October or November of 2022. Chris Rock Did a show here and killed it!! The venue was dope! And it was easy to get back to DT. They had pictures of all the famous comedians on the screen 📺 before the show had started.. & I had lots of fun 🤩… If there is a game or show here, then buy a ticket 🎟️. You will have a GREAT time! … And if your wondering 💭. Yes he did some jokes on “Will Smith” lol 😝
Kurt Pachal: Best hockey rink ice and locker rooms. I rate one less star because of pay parking.

adidas Store Vancouver: what do users think?
Patricia: Wonderful service from the store manager and all the staff! Thank you so much for the very warm and welcoming shopping experience. Highly recommend this location and would definitely come back here. 10/10 love the service and environment at this branch!
H N: They use TForce to ship out your purchases. Enough said.
Miguel Angel Villasis Keever: Tienda muy cómoda, pero no cuenta con todos los modelos de ropa. Personal amable
Noor Mageed: Worst customer service 👎🏻
Linus Lucas: Good
Hope Underwood-Mosley: Extremely rude employee
Rahul Bawa: I like the service of a guy name Daniel.
A L: Hamrin is the best!! I found the shoes that I really want and she saw that they are in stock (two pairs) in the system. However, other staff couldn’t find them and I was quite disappointed. She told me that she could try to find them herself when it’s less busy out front. And she found them!! I really appreciate how she went the extra miles to help her customer. Thank you!
Tiffany Lau: Got my cute Lego branded adidas shoes here!
Jacob: What kind of quality is this? First time in my life see shoes does this after a few work out, adidas’s is going backwards faster than our economy ;(
Dark Raven20: The manager at the McArthur Glen location was unfairly promoted to regional manager, the same manager who sits back, does nothing, and takes vacations very often. She is also friends with the former regional manager. Also, beware of "snakes" throughout the Metro Vancouver locations.
Christa Madison: Left work early just to make the store before closing. I needed to purchase a couple of pairs of runners and they close at 7pm. I arrived just now at 6:47 for the man to say they are closed. I said well you’re open until 7 though? He said no we are closing down now. Unacceptable! Store hours are until 7 not 6:47
Julie Vu: The two guys working in the store on Tuesday October 18 around 3-6pm were both really helpful and nice. One was a tall guy in a dark blue pullover, dark brown hair standing at the door with the iPad, and the guy was our cashier with med/light brown hair 👍👍👍
dana khani: I had a purchase in Mid Aug for 3 hoodies, they shipped them one by one during Sep and now for the last part of my order that I have not received, customer service said that it is returned due to an issue with transfer that she was not sure about it and said they cannot reship it. That is very inconvenient and for sure it means not buying anything online from them anymore.
Max Hemmerich: Lack of stock and staff
Tyrene Rogers: We went to buy a pair of navy joggers for my son which he tried on and wanted. He went to buy them and they give you a new one packaged up not the one you try. Well my son just took the bag without thinking they might have got it wrong. We were leaving back to Gibraltar next day so it went straight into suitcase. When we got home and opened it, it was a hoodie which we already had, so we cannot even exchange it as don't live in Canada aarrgghh wasted our money
G Y: It is ok. They don't carry sports supplies
Fiona Lee: NATALIE was super nice and friendly.
Victor Pei: Get my Yeezy 500 here. Lots of great clothes and shoes here
Westcoaster Shells Paull: My son bought me work out shoes! Love them!* I am missing one shoe formation tho.
Sivan “ḿilk” Simdar: Amazing staff and over the top managers and security, they really took a lot of effort to make sure reservations and leftovers are fair and made sure no one budged in line and stayed in line, also very friendly and even helped us to get comfortable.

Address: 6160 Thunderbird Blvd, Vancouver, BC V6T 1W5, Canada

Schedule: Open until 10:00 PM

Telephone: +1 604-822-2505

Business type: Tennis court

UBC Tennis Centre: what do users think?
Dipanjan Guha: Great facility
Andy Tai: Once again, ubc has disappointed me with a complete disaster of a booking system online. Online ubc tennis booking told me I could book for a court, said there was an error, but still charged me 7 times.Subsequently, I backed out and I tried to book another tennis court. The ubc website tennis portal didn’t let me book another court. Four friends driving from around north van, east van and Sunshine Coast paid for parking. What a disgrace.Theme for ubc faculties. World class facilities with sub par and incompetent management and infrastructure.
Kevin Le: It's a beautiful court for sure. I'm just annoyed at the management. and the ACE BOOKING PASS. It's $400 and pretty useless when the tennis center will schedule Tennis BC or UBC Club events that take up all the courts out of nowhere without any schedules ahead of time to let you know (I've asked for this and they said they can't provide it).And then when I've sent an email exactly 3 days before the time I request, it seems people are still able to book ahead of you.So then what is the point of a $400 booking pass?
Skip H: Great facilities. Can get some pretty grumpy regulars during the day who want complete silence when you play. Apart from that these are some of the most spacious courts.
Martin Wong: Beautiful facility, great playing surface and friendly staff. The centre also hosts a lot of low cost events that allow you to meet and compete against a wide range of people. However, court and clinic booking costs are on the higher side, if you're not a student.
Starleigh Grass: Awesome classes
Avi Mehrotra: Pretty nice main facility with the exception of the courts being quite dusty (enough to cause you to slip and fall). The booking system is abysmal (at no fault of the employees that work the front desk; blame upper management) and the experience of navigating the booking portal feels like slow torture at times. You'd think that for 35 bucks or so for an hour of court time, they'd have enough funds to improve the sole piece of software that keeps this facility running. It's not fair to the customers and its not fair to the employees.Don't even get me started on the sorry state of the bubble.
Brock Turner: Open for business...Staff very helpful and it is clean and ready for play! It is clearly recognized as a national class facility by Tennis Canada as they just held the 2022 Junior National Championship.
Robert Charlton: Beautiful indoor courts in the main building with friendly and helpful staff. A great place for indoor tennis.
Matt Grant: So cool!
John Asbacher: The bubble has an extra 4 courts. The bubble has dirtier court surface than a highway underpass. when the heating system is on its louder than a highway underpass. with the amount they charge for courts they should clean more than never. let's start with 1x every 5 years.
Jay Ching-Chieh Wang: Court is very nice, which one definitely pays for. Unfortunately, the center does not seem to take responsibilities to ensure that booked courts are available. When my party and I arrived for our booking, there were people playing on our booked court, and it took them a while to clear out, which meant we lost time for our booking. Unfortunately, when I emailed the Center about this problem, the response from the Center was there was nothing they can do about it. Unfortunate answer. Does not instill confidence that booked courts are going to be available at time you book them, especially when the price is not cheap.
Matt Beckstead: Nice indoor courts. Price is a bit on the high side though, particularly for a university facility.
Andrew Gormley: tennis church
Fabio Markman: Very good and organized but a little expensive.
Cvetan Trpkov: Nice surface, excellent lighting, plenty of space. Tough to get court time though.
William Eden: Excellent
Guy Dalcourt: Good distancing
Zuxiao Song: Love the place!
Paul Wiens: Courts are very dirty and have dead spots. They were good when they were built, but not well maintained. Court prices are very high. If registering in Tennis programs, no refunds given if you don’t attend every session of the program.
Duan Meng: Nice place, but nobody answer the call. Sometimes the staff pick the call, however they ask you holding for 10-15 minutes

UBC Baseball Rose Indoor Training Centre: what do users think?
Aaron Pederson: Great directions!
Heidi Adams: Amazing facility!! Thank you for hosting the Ontario Giants 15U and 18U teams. An experience our boys will not forget!
Bradley Jones: Great location to do some team training. We spent an evening with our your baseball team in the batting cages. All year round training
Duyoo Gong: Good.
Kevin S: Friendly stuff, best facilities in lower mainland, and good price
Corbet Rutzer (crutzer): The home of the UBC Thunderbirds baseball team is also a state-of-the-art baseball training facility that can be booked for functions and parties by the public. I recently rented the batting cages and it was a blast! The facility is really great and the batting cages are available with the optional HitTrax, which uses a bunch of cameras to gauge your swing and detail each at-bat on a nearby screen. The best feature is probably the "Home Run Derby", where you can pick your stadium and test your long ball skills. Renting a cage is about $100 for one hour (with HitTrax).

UBC Aquatic Centre: what do users think?
Kaavya Hogle: I would love to spend time here. I could swim in just 2 days. This place is awesome
Mehar Bhogal: Not much to say - quality pool. Unlike most, doesn't feel icky to swim in. Unfortunately my Mother ventured out here to use the sauna/steam, and was assured in person that it was Open. Only to get changed and be told it is not by the lifeguard on duty. A refund was issued, but nonetheless frustrating.Staff does not answer the phone, as well.
DC Lougheed: Wonderful place to play in the water with a group of 7 and 8 year olds. Lazy river and unsinkable canoes!
K.P. Priyadharshini: Best pool… clean and spacious ♥️
César Ulises Monjarás Ávila: I really enjoy going to swim!
Paul Stewart: You will need to register before you arrive or else you will have to get out of line to do this then get back in. Then you will go to the locker area and realize you need a loonie to use the lockers so you will go back to line up for the cashier and they will tell you they can’t do cash back to get you the loonie you need for the locker so then while your friends are waiting you now need to figure out where you are going to keep your clothes. Good luck.
Clifford Mascarenhas: Excellent swimming facilities along with the jacuzzi and the sauna room
MIGUEL MARTINEZ CEJA: Well, Drop in has changed. Now is Membership drop in. So you buy your membership then sign for the time you want to attend. Awful that I tried to buy the memberships at the front desk, and I was told that the system is too slow, so they recommend me to go home and do it from my own computer. No busy and can't help at the front desk?.. I had my 4 and 5 year old excited about going back to the UBC pool, and the effort was blocked by not getting help. End of the rant.Buy your membership at home and book at time to visit this pool.
Zain Ul abdin: Beautiful and fun ,clean
Daniel Silver: Overall not my favourite pool. However, I liked the locker rooms (except the showers) and the kids community swim area is nicely heated (good for younger kids).
Kai Ling Ma (The Demon): Great pool, floors could be cleaner
Isabelle Truong: Best aquatic centre at a Canadian university! Absolutely world class.
Marcus Xiong: Bsller
David Cretney: Had a TERRIBLE expience bringing my child and friend here for a drop in swim. Each family and person is REQUIRED to register and you can only do that through and app on your phone. No app no swim. Oh and you can’t pay cash and you can’t tap a card.We spent a frustrating 25 minutes trying to register emails addresses and passwords and birthday dates for us and friends. This was a TERRIBLE experience. No matter how nice the facility is this experience totally RUINED our day.
Michael Kim: Clean pool, everyone is respectful. Very much a great place for swimming!
Arash Khoddamy: Pricey parking but one of the best pools in town
Neil Meade: Swimmable
Pedja Lee: Bad
A Schmidtke: You have to create online profile just to visit once. Lockers return your loonies. Steam room and sauna never working. Lane swim very crowded. Hot tub not that warm. A good place for families.
John Ticknor: Excellent - except for the fact that the dry sauna has been closed for more than a year now without any explanation as to why ...

Business type: Physical fitness program

UBC Active Kids: what do users think?
caroline reed: These classes are run by Kinesiology students. I dont think they necessarily specialize/have experience with kids. We are in Gym Kids 3, and the classes are very basic. Running around, walking across a balance beam, jumping straight up and down on a trampoline etc. It's something to keep the kids busy, but not necessarily something to further their gymnastic skills. This is just for the gym kids classes, the excel classes looked much more specialized. The room is very hot and humid, and it doesn't feel like there's any discernible air conditioner, so dress your kids accordingly (especially in the summer).
Sumi Kim: The experience may vary based on the coach assigned to the class. My kids participated this program for many years and classes for the younger kids group - Gym kids 1 and 2 - was ok.For the older group, Gym kids 3 and teen class, some coaches were negligent taking care of the group. The coach may pay attentions to few students in the group and all other kids were not getting correction on the posture, or did not get attention while kids were executing some challenging skills which could be dangerous. It doesn't seem like there is a leadership training or qualification were in place when a coach is assigned. I have seen some coaches with the great passion for teaching kids but at the end, I moved my kid to other program as the negligent behavior of the last coach was so persisted, it was unsafe - physically and psychologically.
