Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden: what do users think?
Camilia Rodriguez: I’ve come twice with family that are visiting and both times it’s been closed for a private event. Both times the garden’s have been marked as Open on Google, and yet I’ve called in advance to make sure that they are open which they confirmed they were and then I get here and BAM closed for a private event. This is really frustrating.
Barbara Leao: I was looking for things to do in Vancouver, and while in China Town, I stepped into this garden. It is paid, and I suggest you follow the guide because otherwise it is just another ordinary Chinese garden (and there is a public one for free right beside it). The guide was not Chinese but very knowledgeable of the garden and China history.
MS: Such a beautiful place to visit in Vancouver. It looks the best in the Spring in my opinion, with all the plants in full bloom.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
Andy Aras: A beautiful garden in the heart of the city. Enter and let peacefulness envelope you!
A.G. Saas: Beautiful Chinese garden, and the leaflet with the historical information was well worth the read.

Antonius A. Tjong: After our business trip in Vancouver Canada, we took a private leave for a more few days stay. Avoiding the hustle and bustle outside there of the downtown, we came to [Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Chinese Gardens] and [Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Park], a Chinese-style classical courtyard and a beautiful classical Chinese Garden, which are adjacent 2-in-1 as both extension and complement to each other. This complex is located on a street cornering block between Carrall Street paralled with Columbia Street, in China Town, British Columbia, Vancouver, which place is said to be where Dr. Sun Yat-sen once lived in when visited Vancouver. The exquisite and elegant layout and exhibition of the museum-like interior can really make us feel the strong Chinese atmosphere, show the exquisite and long-lasting Chinese culture, and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the interior. People who like to buy some souvenirs can also buy some commemorative items here. We can taste the Chinese tea specially prepared for visitors, snacks or light food. The gazebo, huts in the garden, water plants, flowers and trees as well, and the fishes, turtles, ducks, wild geese swimming in the pond, forming a classical and beautiful natural picture in our sights. And in about two hours long, we ended our visit to these [Dr. Sun Yat-sen Classical Chinese Garden] and [Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Park]. Walking out of the park and looking across the Columbia Street, there is an vacant square that is to be a lively scene in the afternoon and night a moment later soon. (130523/x)
Andy Yang: Poorly maintained garden with spider webs, chipped walls, rocky pavements, dirty pond, no fish. Nothing to see here.. Very small and not wheelchair accessible to the paid area. Everything is broken apart….. Seriously! What a waste of money. You are better off go visit any botanical gardens than here. It’s also at a bad part of the city…. what a waste of time.
Anthony Tran: It's a nice and calm place to visit, good to learn more about the culture but for me I find it boring.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
Genevieve Marchand: Seulement le parc était ouvert mais très joli. Il vaut une petite visite
Thomas Robson: Always lovely in any season.Open and welcoming.O3/24/22 Masks not required.

Caitlin Foster: The environment here isn't conducive to the health of the birds-macaws, parrots, etc. need far more space, stimulation, and room to fly than this conservancy provides. The birds are visibly distressed and displaying repetitive soothing behaviors and are missing feathers in patches. As a cherry on top, we saw loads of mice (in the dozens). A grim and weird experience.
Dianne D'Bos: Wonderful place to visit on a rainy, cold day.
Jonathan Harris: Beautiful little oasis in the middle of the city. I've lived here for almost 10 years and only just found out about it! Shakespeare Garden: what do users think?
Hartmann_photographer: It is very beautiful, you can enjoy the nature plenty of flowers.
Sacalamachia: Must pay a visit! One of the gardens in Stanley Park is the Shakespeare garden. There has been a trend in the early 1900s to create "Shakespeare Gardens" around the world. There is even one in New York's Central Park. The Shakespeare garden in Stanley Park consists of one main monument to the bard and about 45 trees that have been planted in the area of the garden. Some of the trees are trees mentioned in the bard's works. These trees have plaques that indicate which tree they are and the quote from his work.Shakespeare Garden plaque in Stanley ParkThe plaque says:Developed to reflect the aspirations of early Vancouver, the Shakespeare Garden is a secluded arboretum of trees mentioned in the Bard's plays and poems. The first tree was planted by Mrs. Jonathan Rogers in 1916 on the three hundred year anniversary of the Bard's death. Architect J.F. Watson designed and sculpted the Shakespeare monument in time for the garden's official opening in 1936 by the Governor General, Lord Tweedsmuir.Where is the Shakespeare Garden in Stanley Park? The Shakespeare Garden is located next (east) to the Rose Garden in Stanley Park. It is next to the Rose Cottage just up Pipeline Road from the traffic circle.
Mat Bienczyk: Really cool garden at the center of the park, it's right nearby the Rose Garden. There's a few benches and many signs identifying the plants. Amazing place to just relax, admire; photo shoot as well!
Inga Zentins: I love this place. Traveling to Vancouver again and visiting this place again. Fun for kids and beautiful, relaxing experience for people who love flowers and nature.
Firoz Ozman: Lovely Garden
Michael Saragosa: Very romantic scenery. Take a walk through sometime
Henry Chen: Did a little family photo shoot here in cherry blossom season. What a aesthetically pleasing place! Absolutely loved everything about this place! It is also a great picnic spot on a sunny afternoon. On weekday, it is pretty quiet here, you can bring kids and dogs and have a blast.
Likes Eating: We missed cherry blossoms when they were fully bloomed, but it was still very gorgeous.
Karen Guy: It was very beautiful even though it is nearing the end of the season. All the flowers were still quite vibrant and most of the roses smelled lovely. The only downside was a lack of placards in the garden identifying the different plants.Only the rose garden had placards.
Dave Aloisio: Go find the little plaques on the trees with lines from his plays.
Rachel Windsor: A beautiful place in Stanley Park!!!
Lennaert Kohn: 👌🏾
Yuri Kroz: A gorgeous place, feels like in a Rembrandt's picture.

Rose Garden of QE Park: what do users think?
madison: Beautiful little garden with chairs to sit in and enjoy
Terence Yee: Despite the name, there are a variety of flowers and plants featured at the Queen Elizabeth Rose Garden. As time inches along, and age becomes more obvious I finally realise how important it is to just stop and smell the proverbial roses, and admire the little—but no less meaningful—things, like flowers, and be reminded of the beauty of life.
Selina Ma: Came late September which is past peak rose season, but there were still many roses and other varieties of blooms
