Business type: Doctor

Dr. Mark Rosengarten: what do users think?
Tina
Tina: Dr. Rosengarten truly needs to look into hiring a front person that represents his character and practice. Considering the atmosphere she works in, Liz is unprofessional, negative and unpleasant. She even called my family doctor just to yell at their staff. Abysmal.
Sarah Leamon
Sarah Leamon: Dr. Rosengarten is an absolute gem. He performed my elective c-section when I went into labour early and I could not have asked for a more positive experience. I was very anxious and nervous about everything. He was calming, re-assuring and compassionate. He took the time to get to know me and my partner and made us both feel very comfortable. He created wonderful memories for us in the operating room. It was also very obvious to m e that he is at the absolute top of his game. He is so professional and knowledgable - plus he very supportive of my decision to formula feed with no questions asked. A truly skilled doctor with a wonderful bedside manner. Dr. Rosengarten almost made it a pleasure to be operated on. Five out of five!
Mima Ewhubare
Mima Ewhubare: Had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Rosengarten today. He performed my external version. Although the procedure itself is uncomfortable, Dr. Rosengarten was delightful and very caring throughout the experience. I really appreciate all he did to assist my condition and felt very confident in his care. Me and husband thank you very much Dr. Rosengarten for making a difficult time enjoyable.
Samantha Kuchmak
Samantha Kuchmak: I had a terrible experience here. When my doctor had sent in the referral form, the receptionist threw it away as she did not like that my doctor had written "urgent" on it. She then confirmed she would ask for another referral, but did not follow through on this commitment. I called back a couple of months later to inquire where I was on the waitlist, only to be told I was not on the list. Eventually getting an appointment 7 months after the initial referral, I had to wait 50 minutes past my appointment time. Once in with Dr. Rosengarten, I was laughed at by him after stating what I had been taking as proactive measures in an effort to have a successful term pregnancy - with him discrediting my doctor and naturopath. I was told that I would get pregnant and sent on my way. I am completely gutted by this entire experience. Shame on this office for how they treat people seeking support.
Fsa m
Fsa m: #1 doctor in Vancouver. Treats all his patients with the best care. The reception is usually swamped because of the amount of calls he gets of new patients waiting to see him. The negative reviews are from people who want to get in with him but can't as he is over booked. This guy works 24/7 even when he's not supposed to work. If things change and he becomes less busy I would highly recommend him as I have had nothing but great things so say about this doctor. Team rosengarten for life.
JT
JT: You will be in very good hands with Dr. Rosengarten. He has an easygoing bedside manner, and is an excellent surgeon re OB or GYNE. Physicians that I know in a personal context also reassured me that I was in excellent hands with him. He has a reputation for facilitating successful vaginal deliveries that are considered challenging as well -although I don’t have personal experience with that as I had c-sections. Liz was very proactive and helpful in making sure I was able to speak with Dr. Rosengarten asap when I called for my recent issue (I had seen him for OB years ago). When I told her why I was calling, she immediately put my name down for the next available surgery date to hold it, arranged for me to have a phone call right away, and an in person exam as soon as possible. Obviously my situation was time sensitive to do this, but not all offices would have been so nimble to understand what needed to happen without taking awhile to figure it out. After the surgery, Liz answered my questions on the phone, not requiring that I make an needless appointment, which congests the system for nothing. If it was something that a dr needed to explain then she would have arranged a phone appointment. I feel both Liz and Dr Rosengarten just get it. They are such a credit to our medical system, and are wonderful humans!
Megan
Megan: Look no further for the BEST obstetrician to safely deliver your baby. You will receive the very best of care and attention under the care of Dr. Rosengarten. He delivered our first baby at BC Women's Hospital last week, and it was the most INCREDIBLE experience from start to finish. From the moment we met in his office, through surgery, and post operative care, Dr. Rosengarten treated me with all the kindness, attention, support and professionalism. He knows how and what new parents need to hear throughout the process. The delivery went perfectly, and I'm healing faster than expected. Also an special thank you to Liz at Reception. She sent me the necessary forms and followed up with me within 24 hours of our first call. She found me appointments as needed, even though I was only 6 weeks from my due date and all doctors and hospitals are booked to capacity. Liz also spent an extended amount of time answering all my questions and putting my mind at ease.Highly, highly recommend this team!!!!
Casey Chaulk
Casey Chaulk: Dr Rosengarten and Liz are the absolute best. Caring, wonderful and amazing!
nebiyat zena
nebiyat zena: He is like a family with us. He also gives us comfort on every occasion we meet. He delivered my second baby. We feel safe with you. You rock.
Cobbleshoes Elfwood
Cobbleshoes Elfwood: When I visited Dr. Rosengarten's office, I found the receptionist Liz to be efficient and kind. She listened to my concerns and answered my questions. Dr. Rosengarten listened to me and I did not feel pressured to do any procedures.Note: There seemed to be a misunderstanding regarding the booking of a surgery. My husband had called Dr. Rosengarten's office to cancel the surgery twice for me, and I e-mailed Dr. Rosengarten to confirm that I cancelled the surgery, yet the BC Womens' Hospital called me several times. I called back and left a message on June 6, telling the person that I had cancelled surgery. I received a phone call that she got my message and to call back (but I wasn't sure who it was who called so I didn't call back; I left my message). She called several times more, with a message to call, and then the last message, she gave me instruction about the surgery. So, I called the BC Women's Health Hospital directly and let them know that I had cancelled the surgery. Hopefully, this sort of confusion can be cleared up in the future.Dr. Rosengarten had a gentle approach that I appreciated. As a woman with Asperger's, I can be wary of medical situations (like the character Sheldon from "The Big Bang Theory" in a way), so I appreciated the humane treatment where he treated me like a lady and was was respectful and where I didn't feel pressured to do anything to my body. . They also have a lovely painting up front that I found warmed my heart. Thanks. :)
Muhaymin A
Muhaymin A: The Lady receptionist needs to fix her dirty attitude. She is very hostile for no reason. She will not listen to you when you talk. And there is ageism going on here so if you are young you will get laughed and mocked at. How did she get hired to work here? If you are so miserable then quit your job? Yikes…Stay away from her.
Diah K
Diah K: To be honest i wish i could give zero stars. A really rude female receptionist picked up the phone when i called. Basically telling me that she couldn’t help me and just laughed at me, she was very snappy and quick to cut me off while talking to her. She was raising her voice and just using a sarcastic tone. Made me really upset especially as i am young and pregnant. So i really recommend not even calling these people up or even going here for appointments or anything in general because they do not know how to talk to people. So rude. Like there is no need for you to be passive aggressive.
S. Talachian
S. Talachian: Horrible horrible staff. So rude and impolite. The lady who answers the phone is so terrible and rude can't handle her for even a second. Stay away from this receptionist.
Leopold Kudasov
Leopold Kudasov: This is my second review for Dr. Rosengarten as my wife recently delivered our second son at BC Women’s Hospital (our first son was born in 2014 when we came to Vancouver from London, England; we had an emergency which was when we first met Dr. Rosengarten by pure chance – it was such a blessing!). I must say I rarely leave any reviews online as it is very hard to impress me, especially when it comes to healthcare services since I have very high standards and expectations of any professionals I deal with. However, I am happy to provide another review for Dr. Rosengarten, as he truly is an incredibly exceptional doctor and human being. Although Dr. Rosengarten did not deliver our two sons himself, he was fantastic before and after my wife went into labour, looking after her during the third trimester and always putting any concerns we had to rest. Quite frankly, Dr. Rosengarten is the only doctor in the entire world whom we trust completely (quite literally, as we have dealt with doctors in the UK, Eastern Europe, US, Canada and Australia before). In fact, we are used to double, sometimes triple checking anything a doctor says by getting a second opinion when possible, or simply googling a matter and/or advice given by health professionals. I must admit that normally we are very difficult patients to deal with, as my wife and I usually bombard doctors with constant follow up questions until they turn blue in the face. However, it has never been necessary with Dr. Rosengarten as we trust him completely. We have never doubted his expertise and have always followed his advice. We knew we were in safe hands. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Dr. Rosengarten and we cannot recommend him highly enough. The personal service from Dr. Rosengarten was first class, very knowledgeable, diligent and accurate. In my opinion (and I do not give praise easily), Dr. Rosengarten is an outstanding expert who we met by chance, who provides exceptional care for his patients. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Rosengarten for his outstanding and impressive work. THANK YOU DR. MARK!We would also like to compliment Dr. Rosengarten’s receptionist Liz for helping us liaison with BC Women’s Hospital in the most professional way possible. She did a great job from the moment we walked through the door until we had our last appointment with Dr. Rosengarten. Liz always made us feel super welcome.Overall, we would give Dr. Rosengarten 10 stars if we could! :-)
Gisela Rh
Gisela Rh: The person who answers the phone is the rudest person that I have talked in my life.
Ro Fernández
Ro Fernández: Terrible receptionist. When people are looking for a doctor is because they feel bad.. you don't need to be rude.
Lauren A
Lauren A: This is a review of the person who answers the phone, not the physician. I called because a friend highly recommended Dr. Rosengarten. Pregnant for the first time, understandably I am trying to figure out how to navigate the medical system in this regard. I called asking what the booking process is for new patients. The receptionist answered in such a shockingly rude and condescending manner. I am not upset with the information provided, but the way it was communicated. Everything was said in a retort with a tone of intolerance. She even rudely added “I don’t know who your GP is” ...(obviously, I never would have expected that).I worked in customer service for years and can’t imagine speaking to someone like that. I hope this “receptionist” takes a good hard look at the way she talks to strangers on the phone and digs deep into why she feels a need to treat people like that. Sad.The summary of what she told me was you need to be a high risk pregnancy and they’re not even taking new patients til October. I definitely am not waiting til five months pregnant to get medical care but at least this information could have been communicated in a more friendly, or heck, neutral, tone.Eeek. This one minute call was so cringy!
Shima Khalaj
Shima Khalaj: Dr Rosengarten is gentle , good listener, patient and understanding. Good communication and goes above and beyond his responsibilities.absolutely he is the best.Thank you Dr!
Roman
Roman: I would highly recommend Dr. Rosengarten to anyone having a child, and strongly hope any high risk pregnancy the fortune of his care. Dr. Rosengarten was the obstetrician on call the night my daughter was born. Although we were followed by midwives, when our baby entered fetal distress Dr. Rosengarten calmly took over. His calm demeanor, the humanity he emanates, and the skill he possesses makes him a truly unique and special person.I think very few other doctors would have been able to perform the vaginal birth he did that night, manually turning our baby three times, among other things.I still laugh, teary eyes, to this day when I think back at that moment, when he came to us at the end to exclaim, “Did you see that! She had the umbilical wrapped around her neck, not once, not twice, but five times!”I truly feel that Dr. Rosengarten saved the lives of my daughter and wife.
Ash Arora
Ash Arora: Amazing! We count our stars everyday that he was the doctor at the er the night we had our daughter. We believe without him things would've turned out differently. Excited to have him with our current pregnancy. My husband thinks he should be awarded with a gold medal for being able to calm hormonal paranoid pregnant woman such as myself all day everyday🤣
ML B
ML B: Happy to see that most of the reviews here are for people who have had a positive experience. I have not had the fortune to have a good one with the front desk staff worker, I do not hope to encounter her again. I do not like how she chose to speak to me, I understand that this office is very busy. However, just because your own experience is good, does not mean that it is going to be universal for everyone else. The staff are not the devil, people who complain are not special snowflakes who don't understand the reality of how busy this type of work is. I hope that this office continues to perform in an overall well manner, as I don't think people should have experience my negative encounter with that specific staff member as I did. This office will be fine and will suffer no losses with one less person interested in receiving medical care , as there are many people seeking gynecological care as there are gynecologists working in Vancouver. This is just the nature of things.

Dr. Elisabet Alice Erica Joa: what do users think?
Sarah Burton
Sarah Burton: Dr. Joa is hands down the best doctor I’ve seen since being in BC.I was referred to her and her friendly assistant got me in within two days even though her schedule is packed. Dr. Joa even texted me regarding an appointment. While at work Dr. Joa reached out personally to bump my appointment to an earlier time but I missed her call. I was able to text her though and that small thing made it comforting to me.My appointment ran on time, which is amazing in itself, but after my exam she explained that she maybe wasn’t the best person to see regarding my situation. She then referred me to someone she thought could help and advised me to contact her if I need. So professional and she’s eased my mind just knowing she’s there to help.
Maryam Sepehr
Maryam Sepehr: Five stars for Dr. Elizabet Joa as the best, kindest and also the most professional OB in Vancouver. She is pretty nice and friendly and I experienced my best pregnancy period with her help and guidance. I would like to recommend her for each Mommy whose is seeking a patient, sweetheart, energetic and professional OB. Thank you dear Dr.Joa ❤️
Brennan Posey
Brennan Posey: Doctor Joa is an amazing and empathetic professional. She has been a dream.
Ciara Thompson
Ciara Thompson: Dr Joa delivered both of my children via c section (2018 & 2021) and also performed my tubal ligation. She is extremely kind, smart and very passionate. Her office is very clean and well organized. Everyone at St. Paul’s said I lucked out with getting her as my doctor. She is very well known and respected around Vancouver. I couldn’t have asked for better birth experiences. Although I’m happy I’ll never be pregnant again, I will miss her as a doctor… especially her contagious laugh!
Terra Única
Terra Única: After going thru treatment to get pregnant, my wife was assigned to Dr. Joa. We were always welcomed with a smile and positive attitude. You can clearly notice she loves what she does. All along the pregnancy, all the way to delivery, she was incredibly helpful in answering our questions, in providing different options, always striving to leave us as comforted as possible. If I’m ever asked to define what is a perfect medical service I would say “to be a patient of Dr. Joa”.
Kristie Kekewich
Kristie Kekewich: Dr. Joa was my OB for both my beautiful healthy children. She made the worries of pregnancy non existent and that was a breath of fresh air. During my c section she was so calming and professional I forgot I was having a baby. I would highly recommend her to new Moms who are looking for a fantastic experience.

CARE Program Women's Health Centre: what do users think?
Melina Dii
Melina Dii: Taryn, Lauren, resident, Dr Chang, counsellor, all of you who were involved today. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. ❤️
Anna
Anna: They performed an incomplete termination on me. Have been suffering for 2+ months now because of it.
harjot Sidhu
harjot Sidhu: Staff is best you feel like you are out on vacation with friends even the consultant ladies are awesome they explain you everything at starting so good thanks everyone for your help
Nicole Day
Nicole Day: I could not have asked for a better experience at CARE, the nurses, drs, counselors...everyone was fantastic and so kind, caring and compassionate. I was incredibly anxious for my procedure but everyone here made me feel SO safe. Even though I (think) I was the last patient of the day and they were about 2 hours delayed everyone was extremely empathetic and made me feel comfortable during my entire visit. I went to with concious sedation for my procedure and I hardly remember anything and it was completely painless, definitely recommend.
Tammy Zalischuck
Tammy Zalischuck: My mom was treated terrible in the Fir rehab because she was off the street
Nina S
Nina S: I would like to say thanks the staff of C.A.R.E. program. I was terrified and their doctors and nurses were caring and supportive. They answered on all my question and expanded to me the process. I really grateful.
Desiree Demchuck
Desiree Demchuck: Got my abortion yestrday ... the nurses here were so good to me very nice they made me feel safe I was scared at first cuz it was my first time but the ladies in the procedure room made me feel comfortable and relaxed .. they talked to me the whole time.. the procedure didn't even hurt . Thank u to the wonderful nurses and staff for taking care of me and the counselor lady for making me feel better 🙂
Christina Zeng
Christina Zeng: I was anxious about this appointment, but the sedation was not deep, just enough to make you comfortable, without pain, and stress free (almost like taking 1 - 2mg of Ativan, plus pain relief). The nurses here were reassuring and the procedure itself only took 5 minutes. Once it's over, you are able to rest for a few minutes on a bed, and then able to leave. They also provide a heating pad during the procedure to make you feel comfortable. They require you to fast for 6 hours (no food), and no drinking for 2 hours prior to the procedure. I would recommend booking your appointment first thing in the morning for this reason.
Bumblebee
Bumblebee: The nurses at Care were kind, caring and efficient. I didn’t have to wait too long after I was checked in. Although, I was uncomfortable being in the same room as someone choosing to terminate a pregnancy. A separate program for pregnancy loss would be nice. The reason for the 3 stars is because I paged the on call doctor through the hospital because I was having severe pain and NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. How awful.
Laura Bechard
Laura Bechard: I booked and confirmed my appointment online. I carefully read the tab "Preparing" on the website prior to my appointment. Nowhere did it say I could not eat before. I was ready and they told me they could not proceed. The staff is very courteous but I was quite disappointed and stressed out after this. Now I have to wait another 10 days...
Raven McNeil
Raven McNeil: I love the accessibility of the service and the confidentiality. Very professional yet compassionate workers. Impressed with how eager each person was to assist in anyway they could.
Emily Woods
Emily Woods: Seriously that was a lovely experience. Doctors and nurses were pleasant and I didn't feel judged in the slightest
Kikioxas
Kikioxas: The staff here are amazing and made my experience feel seamless and acted with compassion and empathy. They do have a long wait time when you intially call them but please know that it is worth it and they will help you.
Andrea Amba
Andrea Amba: The staffs are amazing! They make sure that you feel safe, comfortable and you feel very safe. I forgot to do the survey they hand out to let them know how your service went but it was amazing. the nurses/doctors make sure you have all the information you need to know and they take very good care for you.
Nyny Ng
Nyny Ng: They put me on hold for almost an hour ... like Almost an hr ... crazy
Abby McKenzie
Abby McKenzie: I've been sitting on hold for 58 minutes
Hazel Bell
Hazel Bell: I have nothing but deep sincere gratitude for the nurses, doctors and staff of the CARE Program. I received respectful and kind treatment while under their care. They provide an invaluable service for women and our community. Thank you.
Diamonds
Diamonds: This place saved me a huge amount of hassle in life. I am excited for my visits on June 1st & 2nd. I am scared to be put under sedation for my procedure, but also know their staff are friendly, cooperative & highly trained professionals. This visit is saving my life. And another life too. 3 thanks CARE program (:-Sabrina Proskow

WestCoast Women's Clinic: what do users think?
joel abells
joel abells: Absolutely atrocious. Dr Van den berg has canceled 3 appointments dating back to July. Left me with no refills for prescriptions and was not available to sign for emergency renewals
Tracey Hirsch
Tracey Hirsch: I was extremely disappointed in my experience at Westcoast Women's. I didn't get the holistic health assessment I had expected (and as other reviewers experienced) and the recommendations would have made sense for most people (more yoga, less sugar, for example). Other issues: I mentioned low libido and I was told to read a book. I'd been experiencing anxiety and depression so filled out the assessment forms and nobody followed up! The doctor I saw was distracted during the initial meeting which was on video and the health coach didn't have any value to add to my experience at all. I avoided posting this review for about a year because I didn't want to be too reactionary. But just today I had reason to look up the report they gave me for which I paid $1200 and I was reminded of how terrible the experience was. Way too much spent for way too little provided. If you use this clinic be sure you know what you want to achieve and be specific about it with the clinic before spending so much money. I certainly regret it.
H
H: Very expensive and only interested in helping wealthy women.
Deirdre O'Brien
Deirdre O'Brien: I regularly recommend the WestCoast Women's Clinic without reservation. The expert care I received at the Clinic helped me navigate a confusing and challenging time and contributed to building resilience I would otherwise not have.
Birdie B
Birdie B: West Coast Women's Clinic has been pivotal in my health journey. Excellent care and well-informed staff.
Alina Anapreitchik
Alina Anapreitchik: Can’t say enough about the amazing doctors and staff at the clinic. They helped me survive menopause and saved my sanity and my marriage. The doctors are highly specialised in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, with nearly two decades of experience. They are extremely knowledgeable, kind and empathetic. It has been well worth the money for me and I’ve recommended them to so many people, as well as to doctors, so that they could refer their patients to them. I am so grateful for the treatment I received at the clinic.
Heidi Stokes
Heidi Stokes: When I first walked through the doors of Westcoast Women’s Clinic I was 41 years old with 2 small children. I had not had regular periods since my 3 year old was born. Having no idea that it was possible that I was in menopause, I was totally surprised to find that all of my symptoms were easily explained by the fact that I was ahead of the commonly projected timing of this event. Toddlers and menopause! Obtaining the right balance of hormones changed my world!! My doctors were thorough, patient and a wealth of information. I am so relieved to have found them.
Sheila Sutherland
Sheila Sutherland: I finally found doctors that would listen to what I was intuitively feeling in my body and were able to get tests to prove that. I will be forever grateful for finding this clinic and how my work with them has positively impacted my health. Thank you thank you thank you! 🙏
Carol Vincent
Carol Vincent: Love these people! I've never been so thoroughly assessed, treated, and holistically supported in my life. Dr. Dhawal is extremely knowledgeable and explains the rationale for everything she recommends or prescribes. Sharon holds me accountable for mindfulness practice and healthy eating. Highly recommend!
Kim Janna
Kim Janna: The 1 star goes to the AMAZING human who home delivered my urine kit after I was supposed to pick it up at the clinic on a certain date VERY specific to my cycle but couldn't because the clinic didn't answer the door after telling me to come that day. The ONLY person there I can appreciateAs for the rest of my experienceI first called WCWC because of CRIPPLING neuropathy after hearing that in some RARE cases Perimonopause can lead to neuropathy.I was told that to do the 24 hour urine sample to check my hormones it would be $1200 (No mention that a naturopath will do the same test for around $500 without all the added appointments) That SHOULD have been an option. Before the results of my urine test came back I had my first virtual appt with a doctor (who has VERY LITTLE BEDSIDE MANNER), who was late for the appt and who didn't really have anything to say about it. (I get it... you're a doctor, you're VERY IMPORTANT, but guess what.. a little acknowledgment that I ALSO have things on the go could have gone a long way)The appt begins and the doctor tells me that she is "curious as to WHY I am coming to the WCWC if my issue is neuropathy because they mostly deal with Hormones" .... How about you read my file? Or is there not one?During this the doctor gave me a requisition for a blood test and some supplements to go get and at this point I still don't have my urine results so my thought process was that I want to wait to get my results before I invest in anything else (money or time wise)At some point I got an email with my urine results and I was excited to go over them with the doctor (Same doctor) in our next online appt.Today I jump on my appt call at 2:45 .on my phone.. and I wait.. and wait... then I figure.. I'll jump off and work while I wait (I run an instagram business that I need my phone to run) I get a phone call when she's ready wondering if I plan on jumping on the call? I tell her yes... I just figured I'd work while I wait... AGAIN.... ZERO ACKNOWLEDGMENT ON HER PART THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THINGS GOING ON....on the call.. she asked if i got my blood work done .... if I got the supplements... I explain to her why I didn't... She then asks if I have my results in front of me ( I have a paper and pen in front of me... ready to actively participate and take notes... ) but I tell her I don't have my results because they are on my phone via email and I'm using the phone to have a live chat with her.... SHE GAVE ME AN EYEROLL THAT CAN ONLY BE COMPARED TO THAT OF AN ANGSTY 13 YEAR OLD GIRL) and said... Well you have a computer don't you?okay ... because we all have several devices yes? PRESUMPTUOUS MUCH ?Hire doctors that actually understand what it's like to struggle.. physically, financially... and emotionallyY'all can keep the money that I spent 6 months saving up , I AM NEVER sitting in front of that condescending doc againo
Anna Perry
Anna Perry: My 2.5 year experience since 2016 with West Coast Women's Clinic (WCWC) on 4th Ave W has been the best service and treatment that I have received. I access both private clinics and public medical services so I have a basis of comparison for private clinics. Dr. Pawa cares about her patients. She conducts 1 hour initial appointments with 30 minute follow up appointments. Her tests and examinations are thorough, in depth. She follows up on the results of my tests. She always reads my chart in advance, so she is prepared. She always interviews me for up to date status on my health such as current mammogram, other ailments or treatments with my other doctors. She checks in with my GP if needed for my health. In 2016, when I was very critically ill, it was Dr. Pawa who picked up the signs of the illness and took steps to get me immediate help. My family GP of 8 years had ignored those symptoms for 18 months while my health worsened. I credit Dr. Pawa with saving my quality of life. My ailment was not in her specialty area but she CARED. She TOOK ACTION. Her front desk staff (3) are well trained and have always treated me with utmost professional courtesy and care for my circumstances. You can rely on the care, advice and service provided by WCWC based on my long term experience.
A AD
A AD: I am not being paid to write this review. I was very disappointed. First the doctor was nice and I showed some improvement. As time went on and my case proved to be more challenging she lost patience. Her strategies did not work and I plateaued. I felt rushed most of the time. She often said how many minutes she had for me. Yes, the receptionist is unfriendly and unhelpful. I paid for full service, incuding the one year follow up. Was not worth it. If you are on the "wait list" consider yourself lucky. Take the time and find a good naturopath like Dr. Jennifer Luis.
Jane
Jane: Poor customer service. Walked into this clinic a few months ago and asked the older receptionist for more information about services they can provide for women with PCOS and she insisted I just go onto their website to find out & focused on the fact it was a private clinic and not covered by extended health plans. Defeats the whole purpose of having a front desk person to welcome/acquaint potential new clients to their services when you're standing face to face with them and they tell you to look it up yourself online. I'm sure their doctors are wonderful, but I can't say the same for their snobby receptionists. As a HCP myself, I will not be referring anyone to this clinic.
s banic
s banic: I visited different clinic before, and nobody else was able to help.Fantastic experience. No wonder they have a long waiting list, but it's absolutely worth it.
Kate Potter
Kate Potter: DR Janet Franiac is the best doctor I have ever had. She is caring, thoughtful, concerned, knows science, knows how to communicate science and can make you laugh even when you feel at your very worst. I came to the clinic in complete disarray. I am back! My normal fierce, bold and HAPPY self!!! The office is such a haven in a busy world. The staff are so helpful on the phone even in the fray of panic ( menopause has lots of these moments) Thanks for everything WCWC!
Majestic Ocean Kayaking
Majestic Ocean Kayaking: The answer to feeling like you're never going to figure out what's wrong with you. The pills from your other doctor that only create more problems; you can say goodbye to them. The uncomfortable out of control symptoms can stop. You can feel better physically, emotionally and mentally. Feel incontrol of your life again and feel like your life is clear and that you are winning! My Dr. at the westcoast womens clinic is so knowledgeable and thorough, I am getting alot of support and I am excited about sharing my experience with others. My friend told me about the Westcoast Womens Clinic, I am so thankful and now I am telling as many people as I can. If you're suffering, its the only way that you will end it. They do short seminars a few evenings every month its covered on your medical plan, this is where you could start.
Brenda Shaw
Brenda Shaw: About 2 years ago, I had had severe menopause symptoms to the point I could barely work. I would sweat through my clothes every 20 minutes and was not able to get even 2 hours sleep at night. I would break into tears over nothing. My GP was useless and totally insensitive to my condition. I also tired 2 different naturalpaths and their herbs did no good at all. Thank goodness for the west coast womens's clinic. They saved me. Dr Pawa is a kind compassionate doctor and within a couple days of getting treatment I was feeling like a new person. I have been going back now for 2 years and would highly recommend them to anyone having hormonal problems or adrenal fatigue.Thank you West Coast Women's Clinic for giving me my life back.
Heidi Henderson
Heidi Henderson: If you have adrenal fatigue or are pre or post menopausal, these doctors are the best. Thorough, thoughtful and they truly listen and meet your needs. Highly recommend!

Vancouver Women's Health Collective: what do users think?
Calla J
Calla J: Whoever answered the phone could not have cared less. Clearly some sort of secret society.
Bat Girl
Bat Girl: I felt judged as a woman of color here, and I am from BC. Perhaps I wasn't their target demographic.
Camila Corbacho
Camila Corbacho: They helped me a lot and they are very attentive
Aureuz C.A.
Aureuz C.A.: Nice staff and nurses, good service overall but one must be early to get attended.
MyFriendRuby Pearl
MyFriendRuby Pearl: I WAS REALLY LET DOWN. I WANTED TO FIND A HEALTH CLINIC THAT TREATED ME LIKE A HUMAN, BUT INSTEAD I WASTED MY TIME AND WAS TREATED LIKE AN INCONVENIENT IDIOT.I needed prescription refills for drugs for mental health issues. As I had bad experiences in other health clinics I thought that this place might be the answer to my prayers. I phoned Thursday afternoon to see if I could get an appointment, but they did not have any before my prescriptions ran out (annoying, but not their fault). I was told that there were some walk-in appointments the next day starting at 9.30am and I would have the best chance of getting one if I arrived at 9am (sounded fair to me). So I arranged the morning off work and made special travel arrangements to get there. However, when I arrived I was met by a rude and condescending staff member. She told me that the nurses had changed their schedule and were not going to be in until around 11am. When I mentioned what I had been told the day before, she just said “… the nurses sometime change their schedule”, as if I was stupid and this was something I should have known.I made special arrangements to get there because of information THEY gave me, and now I have to work late to make up time, I still have to find a clinic to get my prescription refill AND I was made to feel like an idiot. I am so disappointed.
Simone Lewis
Simone Lewis: Sonja Rietkerk is absolutely wonderful! She made my experiance as pleasent and as comfortable as it could have been. She answered all my questions and sent me away with great advice and wonderful resources. The women in this facility go beyond in putting your mind at ease. All the staff prioritized my needs in the most thoughtful ways possible.
Tamerlana
Tamerlana: Great clinic, I got a free and fast walk in prescription. Attentive staff and homey atmosphere.
RilaKat (リラキャット)
RilaKat (リラキャット): Helped me when I'm not from BC!
amyhere (summersundries)
amyhere (summersundries): Came from out of province and the staff was friendly and accomodating. No extra paperwork or forms, they just saw me as per normal. They even had a box for no health card so they maybe accomodating to those without valid health cards but cant personally speak to that. Nurse practitioner and her NP student were great and very thorough. The neighbourhood seems a but sketchy. Lots of signs about injectable drug use, HIV services, and addiciton outreach seem to indicate this is a large part of either their clients or just the neighbourhood in general. Wouldnt want to be in this neighbourhood at night but during the day when you'd actually be going there its fine.Call ahead as they only have a few walk in spots so be waiting when they open to ensure you get in. Also they require you to physically wait for the appointment there which can take an hour or two. But again they are kind and accomodating while you wait, and you get wonderful and compassionate care once you get in, so worth it in my opinion.
Andrea Mellalieu
Andrea Mellalieu: I can`t imagine going anywhere else. The nurses, staff and volunteers are patient, compassionate, friendly and kind. The nurses take their time, and are so thorough. I love it here!
S Ewing (Bettie Stiletto)
S Ewing (Bettie Stiletto): Did I go to a different place from everyone else? I had a terrible experience, traumatizing. The website is a big lieThe volunteers were great, the nurse practitioner was beastly. I was raped, I wanted to see about a rash I'd gotten, and she acted as if I was a huge inconvenience, as if she didn't like me from the start. She looked at the rash, said "It's not scabies, it could be bed bugs but it doesn't really look like that either. sorry I can't help you" "Uh well, where do I go? "You can try the walk in clinic down the street" I ended up standing on the street outside in tears. I thought this was a clinic for women's health, silly me. I wouldn't travelled a half an hour had I known I'd be better off going to the walk in clinic a block away from me.
danielle graves
danielle graves: I'm from the USA and have been to this location three times and received excellent care from the Nurse Practitioners at no cost. If only we had a place clean, friendly and free like this in my country.
Anya Torina
Anya Torina: Amazing places where people care for you, fast service, professional nurses
Little Bear
Little Bear: Highly recommended. Better than any walk in clinic I've been as here they want to help and treat you genuinely. The Nurse Practitioner is very attentive, competent and helpful. Thanks for all your help Vancouver Women's Health Collective!

Dr. Stephanie Rhone: what do users think?
Shalamar Hands
Shalamar Hands: Dr Rhone did a tubal ligation on me in which immediately after the surgery, upon awakening I noticed some bloating. The bloating has continued to get worse and Dr Rhone has refused to see me about it. When I have refused to ‘just live with it’ because it is also accompanied by a host of other complications drastically affecting my quality of life, a nasty campaign designed to undermine my credibility began starting with her associates which has now made it nearly impossible to get any sort of medical care in bc. This doctor is no good.
kamaldeep uppal
kamaldeep uppal: Dr. Rhone is totally awesome! She is easy to talk to, listens all your concerns and makes you feel comfortable whether it's in her office or surgical room. Her receptionist is also very kind and professional. I had an excellent experience and highly recommend Dr. Rhone to anyone who is looking for great care.

Nicole Owens
Nicole Owens: Such a good clinic. Everyone was super nice and educated and made me feel comfortable.
AJ doesnthavealastname
AJ doesnthavealastname: I had such a positive experience here, it was more than I could’ve asked for.My circumstances were unusual- I’m quite young and had just found out I was pregnant. I was scared and didn’t have any adults I could talk to about it, and so I asked my partner to help me find something. I was expecting a clinic or maternity centre, but found on the day of the appointment that it was an abortion/birth control clinic, as well as every other place he had looked into for me.Im pro choice, but found myself attached to my pregnancy, and not ready to do that even though we had talked about it. Desperate to find out what I could, I went anyway. They got me in with their counsellor, who (saying this as someone skeptical of counsellors/therapists/etc etc from past experiences) was incredibly professional and helpful. She really listened to me, and when I was done she did an incredible job of laying out every option for me in a way where I didn’t feel judgment for my age or uncertainty. She gave me resources to look into and numbers to call before I left.I had told her in the beginning that although I felt too young to parent, I was strongly considering carrying to term for adoption. That idea wasn’t one I was expecting to have supported over what at the time would’ve been a simple medical abortion- but at the end of the appointment she mentioned they had time for an ultrasound if I wanted. *they will not show you an image if you’re there for regular reasons, its against their policy, they did it for me because I asked to see*I went in scared, confused, worried about being judged, and not knowing anything. Leaving I felt like a had a strong starting point, and equipped to make an informed decision I would feel good about. Plus I couldn’t believe they offered to run that scan for me, with no planning, without me needing it for a procedure.10/10, professional, informative, and highly supportive whatever YOU want.
Judea Geronimo
Judea Geronimo: i love this clinic and how nice they are thank you for helping me!!!!
Ada Leung
Ada Leung: Super easy to fill out intake form & book online as a new patient. Quick & easy PAP test, was in and out within half an hour. (Appointment was for 4pm, you have to arrive 15 mins early, I was out by 4:10pm)They take COVID seriously, super hygienic & cleanly. I like that they have to buzz you in through two locked doors. I felt safe, secure & comfortable.
Meghan Gee
Meghan Gee: I had an IUD removal and it was such a quick and pleasant experience.Originally they were scheduling patients 2-3 months out for IUD removals but I asked to be called if they had any last minute cancellations - thankfully I got a call a couple days later and got a call to be scheduled for that week. Super quick and the staff were all lovely!Thank you!
Denise Lanuza
Denise Lanuza: I know that many people say that it is difficult and stressful to get an appointment at this clinic, , it really worth, The reception staff, counsellor, the nurses, doctors were so friendly, professional, clear, so easy, free pain. They make you feel comfortable and safe.I am very satisfied 100% with the service. Was excellent.
Jaspreet Kaur
Jaspreet Kaur: Awesome service all staff members are very friendly . I didn’t feel any pain any problem during surgical abortion thanx to all .
Harleen Bilku
Harleen Bilku: Great experience
N Pashaei
N Pashaei: I had my Surgical abortion here . First of all , all the staff were friendly, and very caring . The whole procedure from waiting in the waiting room till the end of the procedure took 3 and half hours.I was so nervous about the procedure, but everyone reassured me that I won’t feel any pain except some pressure, cramping. They gave me the med that was supposed to reduce my anxiety, I asked more and they administered it.I can’t say you won’t feel anything, I thought I wouldn’t remember anything but I was awake and felt everything but it was manageable. If you are nervous, scared like me , it’s ok , we can’t control our emotions, but it is going to be very smooth, and quick . The pain for me was 5 from 10 specially when the doctor put the speculum, I felt pressure with a little pain , I didn’t feel the numbing injection, but I felt the suction, you can feel something from your body is coming out. It was like period cramps. It took around 10 minutes. My doctor was Dr. Heather Jenkins, she was really gentle, calm , very patient. And if I remember correctly, Lisa was the nurse who helped me a lot during the procedure. She held my hand , asked me what kind of music I liked before the procedure.Overall, I’m really happy that I chose this Clinic.
Fatemeh Enayatpour
Fatemeh Enayatpour: I use this clinic service for two times, almost all staffs have Been really friendly and nice. but unfortunately when I needed to talk to dr on call on Sunday 27 Nov 2022, a DR answered my phone not listening properly, and sounds was like not caring, it was very unfortunate that she did not help me when I was struggling under the procedure of my situation. Eventually I went to the emergency hospital and the people there helped me. I wish for the future the management of Elizabeth Bagshaw clinic have more friendly Drs on their team to avoid of bringing the clinic rank down.I visited in person with Dr hunter and she was really nice.Today I could not believe another on call Dr was not friendly and not helping.
Emily Ng
Emily Ng: Best experience! 10/10 would recommend! It was so easy to book online, and everyone was so kind and respectful.I went in my first ever IUD and it went so smoothly! I was genuinely surprised by how fast and easy it was. I was so anxious at first but I felt so reassured by how knowledgeful and caring the staff, doctors and nurse practitioners were. They gave me blockers and I barely felt a thing!Still blown away about how safe, clean, and amazing it felt.

Dr. Sarah Ravn: what do users think?
Maria Hakami
Maria Hakami: I had an ablation surgery done with her, my surgery went wrong and she didn’t tell me about it and even I had to go to emergency after that she didn’t follow up with me. Very unprofessional diagnosis and treatment.
Cindy Brody
Cindy Brody: Dr. Ravn delivered all 3 of my babies via c-section, including one set of twins. She’s an incredible doctor, and has such a warm and nurturing demeanour. She brought the 3 loves of my life safely into this world and I will forever be grateful.
Diana Trasolini
Diana Trasolini: Dr. Ravn delivered my second baby at Lions Gate hospital. She was warm, kind and went above and beyond to respect my labour and delivery wishes. She has clear communication and excellent bedside manner, as well as being an exceptional OB. I can’t say enough positive things.
Luella Ubalde
Luella Ubalde: I was put under Dr. Ravn's care when I had an emergency c-section with my 2nd child. I had another wonderful OB do a c-section with my 1st child (Dr. Schouls) & was apprehensive to have my 2nd one with someone else. From our first interaction right through to my 6 week follow-up, Dr. Ravn was kind, knowledgeable, reassuring & competent. My incision is healing beautifully, my recovery was smooth... I highly recommend Dr. Ravn.
Luna G
Luna G: Dr. Ravn was such a lovely doctor to work with during pregnancy. She is so sweet, caring, and always has your best interest at heart. syl via
syl via: DR. Ravn is the bomb! Extremely professional, attentive, caring, and considerate. I feel so extremely lucky to have been referred to her by my fertility Dr, Dr Yuzpe from Olive Fertility Clinic ( another superb doctor). I had a polypectomy done by Dr Ravn yesterday, and it went smoothly like a dream. She took the time to talk to me before the surgery and she cared to listen to my concerns ( I had an unpleasant experience with another gynecologist few months prior and it was important to me to find a gynecologist who would respect my bedside wishes). Dr. Ravn has surpassed my expectations. Not only is she extremely personable, pleasant, friendly, humble and GENUINE, but she is also attentive, and, respectful and she demonstrates that she cares about you like a human being, not like just another patient or number. Needless to say, she addressed my concerns, respected my wishes, and went around and beyond to accommodate me. Her bedside manner is lovely. She has an affectionate personality. She makes you feel comfortable and quite frankly from start until finish YOU KNOW you are in great hands. I trust Dr. Ravn with my life. The surgery went smoothly and professionally. After the surgery I had very little (negligible) bleeding (almost none) and the day after surgery I had no bleeding at all. As far as pain, I had NONE: none during and none after the surgery. I love DOCTOR Ravn to pieces and anyone who is lucky enough to be under her care should feel privileged and honored. Finally, it is important to note and recognize that her receptionist Julie is a lovely, helpful and considerate person as well, and a just representation of Dr. Ravn. I would recommend Dr. Ravn to everyone as her care is UNPARALLELED.
Mahassa Azizbaigi
Mahassa Azizbaigi: I had my baby girl delivered by Dr. Ravn 2.5 months ago. As my pregnancy had some complicarions I had induced labor and Dr Ravn started the induction and delivered my baby. With all the complications long delivery time and fear that I had she was very patient and kind with me explaining to me all the steps ahead and what to expect. She was so kind and smiling the whole time I was historical, she kept a calm face while I was screaming my longs out. Thank God my baby with all the challenges was born fine and we were both safe and sound. I really appreciate all the care and support I received from Dr Ravn and all the nurses at maternity and delivery dept of Lionsgate hospital. God bless 🙏
