That means that my wife previously went elsewhere that’s significantly more expensive.Top Beauty Salon is an exceedingly rare place that meets all of the 3 desired traits.As other reviewers have mentioned, Helen is the sole hair stylist at Top Beauty Salon.My wife and I have been here multiple times, and Helen consistently provides incredibly quick and skillful haircuts.I highly recommend Top Beauty Salon!

Only thing I would improve is her to slow down (rather slow and nice cut then rushed), and I’ve been coming here for a year now. Out of convenienceI don’t say anything but many times my hair was snagged or caught on something , very uncomfortable - but for 15 or 25$ with wash it’s ok..

MJ: I’m sad to write this because I had high hopes for this place but unfortunately the cut I got was a bit of a disaster. I got my hair cut here a few days ago and I was pretty skeptical when I left the salon but after going home and washing/styling it myself a few times I’m still pretty unhappy with the results. I wanted some soft, long layers and blunt bangs and what I ended up with was chunky layers and very thick choppy bangs — the layers themselves are so heavy that it makes the ends of my hair look quite stringy. I have naturally wavy hair and I don’t think this was taken into account at all. The result is very unflattering and difficult to style — I hope it grows out quickly.

Reanna Newsome: I have been getting my hair done by Meaghan since highschool. She’s a senior stylist at Citrus and also the only person I trust with my hair! I have medium-long hair, and normally get a trim with a few layers, curtain bangs, and a colour. I love the cuts she does! Meaghan’s very attentive to what the customer wants, only taking a bit off at a time, and then checking in again to see if we should go further. She also does quite literally the most amazing colouring ever. Meaghan colours my hair blonde and it looks so vibrant and amazing every time. And it grows out so wonderfully, if I know I won’t be seeing her for a few months. Every foil she places is done so thoughtfully. Jessica Charbonneau: I have been going to Citrus for years and from day one , Raana and the whole team have always gone above and beyond to make sure I am happy with my results. When I first came into the salon I had a bad mix of different colours , roots , grey , and box dye and Raana explained that to get where I wanted to be it might be a process but she would keep my hair healthy and get me where I wanted to be as fast as she could. She fixed my hair in that first appointment ! Since then I have gone back for not just colour and highlights but also extensions ( she’s incredible at what she does ) I have loved my hair every single time I’ve left and I’ve also loved the time spent there - lattes and snacks included?? N Davie: I got a haircut here on a whim with Meghan, whom I’ve never seen before. She was nice and pleasant but didn’t listen to my requests. My hair was long, with long layers. I asked for one inch off the overall length, soft long layers, with face framing layers in the front. I ended up with about four inches cut off and so many short aggressive layers that I don’t even know what to do with my hair. I am honestly embarrassed and will have to tie back my hair until these layers grow back. The short layers are so short that I can’t even style my hair with loose waves as I normally do. There’s a big difference between one inch and four inches. To all the hair stylists out there, when a client asks for one inch, please respect their request and only cut off an inch. I’m guessing it will take about six months to grow out my new mullet, I’m really upset.

Aashini Kaushik: Too much of attitude. I spoke to the owner a couple of weeks ago and he told me to come for consultation. He suggested to even go through their website for prices. Today I went for consultation and the receptionist was good and told let me see if they can just look at your hair and I told I am okay to wait. She went and spoke to the owner and he was so rude and in impolite tone he told the receptionist “no we don’t do walk in and she has to take appointment”.So why he didn’t tell me that when he asked me to. come? I have no intention or motive to waste any of his or my time.I understand that you cannot walk away from clients but ur tone and ur words say a lot about how u deal with clients. He could have been polite and said “let me see if I can once I am done with this client” or may be something else. There is always nice ways to say NO.I was sitting on one of the tiny 4inch wall which is not meant to sit but I did as I had walked all the way to their salon. Not once they asked me to have a proper chair.There are other salon but I will go to someone who cherishes Asian clients too.

amanda Sit: I had my hair colouring done by Lay back in Summer. At that time I had damaged and breakage hair and wanted to get my hair darkened from bleached dirty blonde. I remember I sat down and Lay mentioned my very damaged hair and continued to give me a Olaplex treatment. The colouring was nice and I very much liked it afterward. However, the days, weeks, months following the hair colouring, my hair kept falling out (most intensely the few days following the colouring, I had a bunch of hair in my palm after shampooing) and breaking. I was horrified.I am leaving this review and giving it a 2 stars not because I'm blaming Lay for making my hair fall out, but because I trusted that a good stylist would decline/advise a customer from colouring/bleaching their hair more based on the health condition of the hair. Lay did not advise me to not colour it, to not bleach it, to not do this or that, she just did it because that's what i went there for. Seeing how my hair loss turned out, I really regret going there and getting my hair done. I would've appreciated if I was told my hair was not in good enough condition to go through more colour processing, which is what i expect an ethical hair stylist to advise their clients.

Connie Tseng: The two stars is for fitting me in last minute and fixing my bangs which was ruined by my previous cut at a different salon. Sophie was great when cutting my bangs so I decided to see if she can fit me in for a trim too.Unfortunately the rest of my cut turned out to be so choppy and so layered that there is no flow to the hair. It just looks like I have two sections of hair at different lengths even after I said I’d like to grow my hair even longer and just need a trim so that it flows better with the curtain bangs. I’m very disappointed because it was a pretty pricey haircut and now I will need to look to get another haircut to fix this.Services:Hairstyling,Shampoo conditioning

I had threading and a facial and my skin was glowing at the end, I'm in my mid 40's but Ray and Jas at Gem Beauty Boutique keep me looking like I'm in my early 30s! I love Eminence products, and the massage to my face, neck and shoulders is heavenly! I asked for a balayage, and as someone who’s never gotten one before, May was super patient and experienced to walk me through the different options so I can get the colour and effect I wanted. Karen Cheung: I was recommended by my friend who has been a client of Lay for years.When I called last week, the receptionist was helpful and super attentive with my needs and answered my inquiry.I wanted to do a hair treatment because my hair was bleached and wanted to get a scalp treatment. She booked an appointment and provided me of the options available. I even got a reminder call the day before the appointment.When I arrived, the receptionist was friendly and the salon was very Covid friendly. She took my jacket and gave me a robe and I was asked to wait until my appointment.Lay took me in and had a look at my hair and recommended me what was best for me. She said because my hair was clean olaplex was the best treatment option for me. She told me the cost of the hair treatment and asked if I was ok before proceeding with any of it.I decided on the olaplex treatment with infrared flat iron and a scalp treatment for today.Lay knew I was trying to find a shampoo that works and even gave me two samples to try which i really appreciated.My hair looked amazing and was transformed with her amazing hands!You can have a look at the IG and website which is very helpful.

I paid over $500.00 for platinum blonde hair and received grey multi coloured hair with missing chunks everywhere and he refuses to offer a refund. He only offered to fix it which he ruined it even more and turned it to a brassy copper colour tone which was a complete mess. The receptionist even over charged me and the owner said I had to come back to even get the difference back that they overcharged me!!!! I will never return and if you don’t want to get ripped off and want a nice blonde colour do NOT go to this salon. I wish I had known before letting the owner touch my hair. First of all, they didn’t give me the stylist that I chose while the time of appointment and secondly, hair colour totally changed after one week. It is looking so bad now. It is giving so yellowish vibe. They charged me $408 for that and i am not happy at all.
Breanne Smart: Love this salon. Tomomi is fantastic, her head massages are so soothing, and her cuts are perfect and efficient. The small details are really lovely. The hair washing sinks have a platform for your head instead of craning your neck. Overall, great salon.
Abrar Wafa: I went to Muse hair & Beauty Salon to get a keratin treatment and a hair cut.I’m muslim and I cover my hair. So I tried calling couple of hair salons for keratin treatment but they turned me down saying they wouldn’t accommodate me, but when I called Muse hair salon, Jessie at the front desk was very welcoming and said they would be happy to accommodate me!!May did my keratin treatment and she did a great job!! She was very professional with the keratin application process, which is expected with her years of experience with keratin and other hair straightening treatments. My hair now is shiny and smooth thanks to her. What I also like about May how she knows how to read the room, I had to prepare for a meeting while having my hair done, and she was very quiet and didn’t chat with me until she saw I was done. I had another experience in another salon where the hairdresser kept talking to me even though I was busy working and I couldn’t get any work done.I really can’t recommend Muse hair salon (especially May) enough. I will definitely be going back.

Carley Ontkean: I was very nervous and excited to get my haircut for the first time after many years of trimming it myself, since my previous stylist moved away. I have curly hair and have been trying to grow it out. I made sure to say keep as much length as possible, just clean up the ends a bit and add some better shape. During the cut I wasn't even facing the mirror I was looking out the window so I couldn't see what was happening. I tried to have some light conversation as I was anxious about getting a cut and needed to calm my nerves. Josh gave no interest in trying to talk to me or check in with how I was feeling about the cut (since I couldn't even see the progress for myself). I have never been more upset with the outcome of a haircut. I lost most of the little length I'd managed to maintain and can no longer even braid my hair which is my go to hairstyle. I felt very uncomfortable throughout the whole process and 100$ later couldn't wait to leave. I am a bridesmaid in my friends wedding next month and am now dreading how I will look for this special occasion. Very disappointing experience.Service:Curly hair
Marie Bui: This review is to specifically shout out to Brooklyn - I have had white hairs growing in for the past decade or so (I'm 33, maybe 10% grey) and every stylist I have gone to has made some kind of comment about it, without me prompting the conversation. Though the sentiment is usually about how to cover it up, one stylist even tried to empower me once, referring to them as my "silver sparkles". After about a dozen stylists over the decade (including two others from this salon), Brooklyn is the first to not make a comment about my natural hair colour or try to get me to change it, and just makes my hair cut visits comfortable. Some small conversation, but not too much either, and never about any "concerns" unless I initiate the conversation. This was big for me. She is friendly and accommodating, and makes the process feel collaborative, making sure to check in that I am on board with the decisions throughout the process. Thank you.

Mary Zhang: Got my hair done here a few months ago and only now getting around to reviewing. Ashley is one of the best colorist I’ve had in my 4 years of coloring my hair! I was traveling from out of town and desperately needed a hair touch up before my graduation ceremony, none of the salons back in my hometown could accommodate me before the ceremony. I called around Vancouver a bit and another salon actually suggested I try Poppy. Very nice on the phone, fit me in pretty last minute and without needing a consultation session (which I couldn’t fit in with my trip itinerary). Ashley did an amazing job touching up my balayage. Even though it was her first time working on my hair, she did work that’s comparable to my go-to stylist back home and for less cost! If I’m ever in Vancouver and in need of hair services I’m definitely coming back here!

Fusion Theory: I recently visited this salon and was blown away by the exceptional service I received. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed and comfortable. The salon itself was beautiful and immaculately clean. My stylist, Bobo, was an absolute delight to work with. He took the time to listen to my hair concerns and offered great suggestions for a style that would work best for me. He was attentive, professional, and incredibly talented. The end result was stunning, and I received so many compliments on my hair afterwards. Overall, I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a top-notch experience. The staff and stylists are all exceptional, and the results speak for themselves. I will definitely be returning for future appointments!

He was incredibly efficient (out within 2.5 hours) with healthy, perfectly toned, bouncy blonde hair. Completely reasonable prices as well! I definitely recommend.

He restored the shine and gave me a fabulous hairstyle while retaining the length of my hair. Bobo also offered to trim my bangs in between treatments. Then she lies about how long you have to wait. The place is filthy too, very unhygienic. Not worth even the low prices she charges.

I'll go back to my previous stylist who charges twice as much (still "budget" in the overpriced world of women's cuts), but at least I get the haircut I want.
