The Poke Guy: what do users think?
Felix N.: Delicious food, super friendly service, chill location and fair prices. Highly recommend to try it yourself. You wont be disappointed.
Tim Worthington: Very good poke bowl. I really enjoyed their broke da mouth signature bowl and would definitely come back to try their other signature bowls.Service was extreme quick and it travelled well as takeout as well
Nicolas-Etienne Delambre: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Fabiano PS: Asked the base with salad, unfortunately came with some stale or even rotten. It indicates they mixed different expiration food or similarly bad sanitary practice. Can't trust a place dealing with raw protein to handle food like this, won't be returning.Food: 1/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Adam Myhre: The Poke Guy has quickly become my go-to destination for poke bowls since Poke N' Roll changed ownership. I can't help but wonder why I didn't discover this gem sooner. The Huli Chicken is my absolute favorite, although the Maui Ribs are not far behind. While I always opt for takeout, the restaurant's inviting ambiance makes it an appealing spot to dine in as well. Their extensive drink selection, featuring homemade lemonade and Hawaiian Sun's Passion Orange, is just the icing on the cake. To top it all off, the wait time at The Poke Guy is consistently short, making it an even more attractive dining option.Located on Richards Street in Vancouver, The Poke Guy boasts a diverse menu that caters to various dietary preferences, such as gluten-free and vegan poke bowls, poke rice bowls, tofu poke bowls, and other scrumptious Hawaiian dishes. The owner's pride in their establishment is evident, and it's easy to see why they claim to be the best poke restaurant in town.During my visits, I found the ingredients to be extremely fresh, which made all the difference in taste. In particular, I enjoyed the delicious edamame beans in my bowl. While I preferred the Huli Chicken, I was eager to try other options, such as the classic bowl, during my next visit. What truly stands out at The Poke Guy is the friendly staff, consistently fresh ingredients, and satisfying portions. The Poke Guy's value and quality are unmatched compared to other downtown poke spots. Additionally, the hours of operation are great - open 7 days a week, 11-8!In summary, The Poke Guy is a standout destination for poke enthusiasts in Vancouver. With their delectable menu offerings, exceptional service, and reasonable prices, it's no wonder this establishment has captured my heart. Whether I'm building my own bowl or indulging in one of their Hawaiian plates, The Poke Guy never fails to impress.
Karen: Delicious fresh poke!!
Faith Oh: Solid poke place, I’d say their butter mochi and matcha cookies are better! Staff are not too friendly and on the quiet side
Alex C: Ordered a Lil’ Bowl - fresh ingredients, green eat taste, not overly sauced like some other Poke places. Just wish that the scoop of protein was a bit bigger.
Benjamin Britton: They bring the food and the vibe, with better poke than you can find for twice the money in Hawaii. This place is so good that if the chefs of other restaurants that have pOke bowls on the menu came here like Browns and Cactus, they'd take it off their menus. Come here any time I'm in the area.
Connie C: Nice poke spot! One of the few places that’s actually open on Saturday morning…
Ernesto Barreto: If you are looking for something healthy and fresh around Waterfront Station Vancouver they got you covered.Amazingly fresh Hawaiian Poke style, right beside SFU, sorry no free parking, this is downtown.I'm absolutely addicted to the "da classic" and " broke da mouth".You should try, you won't regret. If you really need, they also have free WiFi, but please enjoy the food and the company.
waqar khan: He have a good hand .Hy breed spencer .
Kirby Clawson-Honeyman: Really great efficiency and environment! Loved the food so much, would recommend!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
L Bie: Ordered pick up at this location. The sauce is tasty not overpowering other fresh ingredients. The portion is great and the price is right. Will be back~Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
cy: Great bowl shoyu tuna and spicy salmon on quinoa and salad
Natalie: Best of the best 🌟 always fresh and delicious bowls. One of my favourite places in Vancouver.
Kelvin: Nice chill ambiance, friendly staff, and there's always hawaiian music playing!

Business type: Music instructor

Ruby's Ukes Ukulele School: what do users think?
Anna: Great lessons! Well run classes, engaging instructors. I learn new songs, techniques and ways to practice. I am a 'lapsed' beginner uke player and these classes have ignited the uke playing fire again. Class materials provided are well done and including songs and instrumentals to practice along with. As for the practice 'rinse and repeat' as Eduardo says :-)
Alicja Laszuk: Started learning ukulele exactly a year ago on my own and went to Beginner 2 course a few months later. I have done Beginner 2 twice and now moved to Intermediate 1. My skills have grown tremendously - from barely following Yousician's course I'm now able to play a number of songs, sing, and even think of my own riffs based on the theory I learned and internalized!I love coming to class. Eduardo, who's been my only uke teacher so far, is always positive and happily shares his knowledge. He finds something new to practice with every song - fingerpicking, strumming patterns, rhythm, chord progressions, adding flare. He makes learning music theory fun and relatable, only focusing on the parts that help us grow as players at our current level.Outside of the curriculum, chatting with Hansol and interacting with him weekly is a joy! Ever the tinkerer, he always finds new skills to learn. As introverted as I am, I find it truly enjoyable to come to class every week and share my learning with an engaged group of students. When we play together, it doesn't really matter if we know each other in person, it matters that we share something wonderful :)
Jaimie Hunt: Would love if they pick up the phone. Been trying to call for 4 days already!!
Ling Lo: Ruby and Andy are both fantastic teachers.. loved the entire experience! The North Van venue is cozy and easy to get to. I started with knowing nothing to confidently strumming simple songs for friends. Delightful!
Alexandra S: Love Ruby's Ukes! Ruby's a wonderful teacher. She's very funny and sweet, and her classes go by so fast. I appreciate her more intuitive approach to strumming and emphasis on listening to the song and getting to know it really well, rather than the more traditional uke instruction I've had before. Also a good mix of ages in the class and fun music selection. Will be taking more lessons from Ruby for sure!
Hilary Barchash: Ruby has a light and easy teaching style with the perfect balance of fun and serious learning which make her classes an absolute pleasure to attend. The classes are small enough for her to provide individual attention, but large enough to make for an engaging musical atmosphere.Ruby's choice of music is right up my alley, with a swing, jazz and blues flavour to many of the pieces, and I always leave each class feeling I have learned something new, without actually having had to work at it!I'm excited to register for my next class!
Sean Sullivan: I've been a student at Ruby's Ukes for the last 2.5 years, most recently in the Ukulele Orachestra, and I have a ridiculous amount of fun learning the instrument, and playing great music that spans all genres/eras/styles. The instructors are super passionate about the instrument and their student's progress. Overall, a great experience.
Angela Aquino: Attending our weekly sessions could arguably be considered one of the best parts of my week. I have been attending Ruby's Ukes for several terms now, starting with a beginner's course and now playing with the orchestra. Playing in a ukulele orchestra has been a joy. People of all ages, from all sorts of different backgrounds playing the ukulele as one is a remarkable thing to see and hear. Every term, we have worked to build on our repertoire, and during every class, we practice to better our skills and techniques. It is not easy putting such a diverse group together, and it amazes me sometimes that we actually sound good. And we truly do! Many thanks to Daphne, Tim, and the rest of the Ruby's Ukes team for creating this community.
Julie Ferguson: It's funny how time flies when you're having fun! I've been a student at Ruby's Ukes for 3 years now and look forward to tuning up and plinking every week. My husband bought me a Ukulele one Xmas and I was so happy to have found Ruby's Ukes downtown and start playing with others. After going through their various levels "Uke Beginners 1", "Uke Beginners 2", and "Uke Intermediate 1" I joined the Ukulele Orchestra and have made a great group of friends over the past few years.Think you're interested in learning how to play? Check out the course descriptors, if you have some musical experience already (basic theory, etc) you may do well jumping into one of their more advanced classes. Not to mention Ruby puts on Vancouver's Ukulele Festival each year, and it's a blast! It's a great way to get to know the instrument, meet some fellow uke-lovers, and get to know the Vancouver ukulele community!
Mona T: Seriously the best! The talented teachers are truly dedicated to creating a relaxed, positive learning environment for everyone and it really shows in all the smiling, laughing students that keep returning year after year. I've been there for over 5 years! Started off playing simple tunes in the beginners classes and now I'm playing Bohemian Rhapsody in the advanced section of the orchestra. So much fun. Great value for your money too. Way more affordable than private music lessons. Each lesson is 1.5 hours long and they even provide snacks!
Martin KO: Overpriced courses for ukulele. If you are very wealthy and over the age of 55, you will enjoy it. Most of their clientele are very senior and have a learning capacity related to their age. As a result, classes are run at such a slow, geriatric pace. The same questions are asked over and over and over again. Probably due to hearing problems. They should have advertised it as an old folks course on the basics of music. As a young and mentally agile person, I found myself wondering why I did not just self teach on YouTube rather than fork out $250 for literally 45 mins of useful material over 10 weeks. Even the songs are catered to those of the golden age. Songs from the 1940s?! Can I really play this for my friends? Ruby is great and very ambitious to start this school, but please cater to the younger generation.

Arin Sarkissian: Friendly staff and a fast, healthy meal option!I created my own bowl and while, not entirely impressed with the quality of fish, was satisfied overall with the meal. For this price ($18 for a large bowl), I expect higher quality fish, but I also understand the appreciation of costs for quality ingredients in such a prime location. Staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions!

Kyle Lee: Best poke in the area, better than steve. I always get their main poke bowl
Kian Callisto: been my go-to poke place for a couple years but unfortunately got food poisoning from the tuna. i’m very careful about where i eat because i’m an emetophobe, wasn’t too awful but enough to steer me away from eating poke for a while.

Berlitz Vancouver Learning Centre: what do users think?
Giulia Buratti: Amazing experience!!!!!I recommend studying with Berlitz, their method is professional and effective.I studied with the teacher Elaine for improving my English, she is truly patient and so funny (I love her!!!!).All staff also is friendly and kind!!It has been the best investment for myself!!I looking forward to start new experience together, thank you a lot Berlitz! 🙏🏻
Diana Bruns: Thank you so much Berlitz! Since the first time I contacted Berlitz Vancouver every single staff member I have met, has been kind and very welcoming. I was able to improve my english skills and every lesson with Harry was perfect for me.
Sahiba Samlok: Berlitz classes, staff and material, everything is just wonderful. I really enjoyed my time here. 😊👌
Clarenz Mabalay: such a great place it is. I will never forget my time here 3
Patricia Chalom: My English lessons with Berlitz were very helpful. I was able to get more confidence and also learned many new expressions I'm using now in my daily conversations.
Claudio Bex: I had a great time learning French with Berlitz. I just needed a basic conversation course and I decided to join the online lessons. Since the classes are very small (there was only me and 2 other students), I was able to get full attention from my instructor and practiced a lot.
Patricia Gewandsznajder: I had English lessons at Berlitz to improve my conversation skills. The method was tailored to my needs and I was able to improve a lot in a short period of time.
Katie Dongkwon: Unprofessional and overprice
Guillaume Boisset: Positive:Professionalism,QualityBerlitz Vancouver was very professional and flexible. We took a Chinese Mandarin course for many months and the teacher Maylin was very helpful and patient. Very good experience.
Deanna Lepke: Very happy with my experience here.
Mônica Larice Carrom Lage: Since the first time I contacted Berlitz Vancouver every single staff member I have met, has been kind and very welcoming. I've felt very good taking my lessons (online) with my teacher Roberto, he's so good and funny guy, always already to help me, I've been learning so much with him. I couldn't be happier with my choice of choosing Berlitz.
Omid Pejman: It's an absolute star and highly recommended because They have friendly and helpful staff. On top of that, My teacher, Gelen was patient and committed to supporting me.
Daria Capostagno: Positive:Professionalism,QualityI am taking an online course and, so far, I have really enjoyed every bit of it! Teachers and staff are very friendly and professional. The material is always relevant and useful and resources really help the learning experience. Way to go!
Audrey Arellano: Positive:ProfessionalismStill finishing my first 40 lessons and I've learned SO MUCH already. The staff is very helpful and communicative. My German teacher Joerg is amazing and goes above and beyond. It has been very easy and wonderful learning with Berlitz Vancouver. I highly recommend attending this school!
morvarid amani: I took the online course for about 6 weeks. My teacher was amazing, and I loved my sessions with her, although I'm very upset with the person who was supposed to organize the classes. After asking her to send me my schedule few days in advanced, she was still always very late with the the timing of announcing my schedule. and she didn't even let me know that my package was finished. I had few more courses in that package and she didn't ask me if I would like to continue and save the package or not. Very very unsatisfied with her!
audrey leung: Positive:Professionalism,QualityThe teachers and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Classes are small which cater to your learning style and go at a pace where you're comfortable. I got a lot out of the short amount of time I studied here; worth the investment!
Mel B: Positive:QualityI studied Portuguese with Berlitz Vancouver via individual classes online. The teachers were tailoring the classes according to my needs and the communication for scheduling purposes was quite efficient. I recommend!
Petuu: I took private french lessons 2 times a week, for about a month. They were definitely what I expected. Lessons adapted to my needs, teachers were natives, I could choose a schedule that fitted my routine, and overall, the experience of studying at Berlitz was really good.
Nastassia Machaj: The teaching technique at Berlitz is truly the best way to challenge yourself to a new language and really forces you to focus and learn. Beyond that, every single staff member I have met at Berlitz has been incredibly kind, gracious, and welcoming. I couldn't be happier with my choice of choosing Berlitz.
Harman Singh: Great place for learning high class, top notch English - Especially in the context of writing skills. The instructor is just on point with making me understand what makes writing English great. Moreover, Task achievement, coherence and grammatical accuracy is what this institute is really master of and really understand in depth( not the same case for other English schools available in Vancouver ). I highly recommend them. I studied at their Vancouver location.

LSI Vancouver ( English language school): what do users think?
Julia Góes: Great school, with great teachers and staff. An amazing place to learn and make some good friends from all around the world. The location of the school is also excelent
Sofia: BAD SERVICE, BAD SCHOOL, ALL OF THE THINGS THAT THEY SHOW IN THE PAGE IS FAKE. THEY DO NOT RESPECT YOU AND DO NOT HAVE ORDEN TAKING ABOUT THE CLASSES.
Kevin Watson: Girlfriend paid 1000 that was accepted and claimed not to be. Provided evidence it was send and received, along with them sending an email that said they accepted and deposited it. They still claimed it didn’t happen. Complete incompetence from the accounting/front desk.
Juanjo Ville: Positive:Quality
Bahadir Cohadar: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Deutsche Sprache: I took a course in LSI. I would see my experiences was not good. I did ..not learn something new or just practicing what I know with different way , the teachers were nice and I love them but for me that was not enough. one of the weak points was the lack of examples when they explain grammar or vocabulary and that makes the thing that we study less memorable , I go to class and come back again to the class but I did notice any improvement.
Bruno Benatti: Incredible
Edgardo Augusto Mendoza: Me atendieron muy amablemente! Además ofrecen cursos de verano, que duran un mes aproximadamente. Ideal para un curso de vacaciones!
Bruno: Congratulations for this school, it's fantastic.

International House Vancouver - Modern Languages: what do users think?
Leo Saud: I've been studying at International House since 2016. It's an amazing English School, I made a lot of friends and they have interesting teachers, who each of them use their different style of teaching
silveryfeather208: Good professional service. However, I feel the teaching pace is way to slow..I don't think it is worth it. If you are a slow learner maybe it's for you..But I feel you are better off taking it at a university if you can. Or even learn from youtube. I took a group lesson and I would also rather just pay more for a better lesson.
JiaYan Xie: Unfortunately, the student's level was low, so it was boring and meaningless for me. Thank you for providing me with the tedious lessons.
Giselle Heydari: 5 stars for the Mandarine class0 stars for the Farsi classI took mandarine lessons at this school and it was absolutely awesome. So when I married my husband who didn't speak my mother tongue, Farsi, and was very interested to learn the language, I recommended International house. Unfortunately the teacher he had was absolutely terrible, as in more than half the class quit half way through the session. The teacher was extremely strict and mean, as if he is training navy seals. He was teaching them sophisticated details that you are not supposed to learn until you have the basic things covered, which he did not. In general, my husband started the classes with so much enthusiasm and after 4 months, he was just done. Although my husband was extremely unlucky with his instructor, I hear there is another Farsi teacher there that is apparently amazing.
Umer Arain: Nice
Sammy Dee: So friendly and helpful, absolutely love the new place.
bryan williams: Wasting time and money for Canadians and permanent residents! TESL, CELTA and TESOL classes are awful with a variety of problems. Some instructors hide their illiteracy behind their snobbish, aggressive behavior. They offer their best services to international students. They merely work for money. They just care abut business more than anything else. Some staffs including administrative and teachers are so rude although you may find few of them cool.
A C: Took a korean class here and had the best learning experience ever! The instructor was very friendly and I was able to pick up the language in just a week. I was very surprised at myself.Highly recommended if you want to take up a new language. Definitely the best language school in vancouver!
Wonderful Ida: International House Vancouver is a great place for International Students to visit to study English, or Vancouver locals to learn a new language. The staff are friendly and informative, and the teachers making learning fun. I would highly recommend studying at IH!

Hanai Family Table: what do users think?
Chloe Rachel: Had to purchase their fried ube mochi one last time before the company's next chapter! Friendly service, and tasty eats. While I have tried their butter mochi and kālua pork plate lunch before, their ube mochi will always be my favourite, dating back to 2019. It packs the sweet flavour and is so addicting, it even tastes good when the exterior loses its crunch and warmed in the microwave. Hope it makes a return again one day!
Tamara Harvey: Everyone should try this amazing place. Not only is the food delicious but the owners are so kind. It’s always a highlight of my week when I order from them.
Annette S: Have purchased their ube pie and is something I would definitely be back for. Recently tried their ubc coconut buns and they were pretty good as well. Keep up the yummy pastries! :)
Brent Bridgewater: We really wanted to like this place. The dishes are my favorite, a fusion of HI and Japanese. The owners are also sweet. It was just painfully mediocre for dishes so attractive and unique. We ordered a ton of food for my wife's birthday picnic, and when everyone ate the food, it was ice cold. Since this is a catering company, packaging should be optimal for heat retention, but they use paper packaging (great for the environment and cost cutting but the tradeoff is a poor customer experience and cold food). The white rice was cooked with too much water so it was very, very mushy served. You can tell the fried chicken would have been great, but was just ruined for how cold it was. The Tofu was all mushed together and molded into one big cold clump and super unappetizing. For what was such a wonderful and special day in the Park we were just so disappointed that the food we served our guests was not top notch like everything else at the party, to be honest it was also a bit embarrassing for us.Improving packaging and separation of dishes bento style would make it so the food is served warm, and would ensure food doesn't smash and lump together and become just mush.
Cail Smith: Got boxes meals and icee for dinner. I ordered it earlier in the week and looked forward to it all week. Was not disappointed! Generous portions, still piping hot.It really reminded me of the food I had tasted in Hawaii. Possibly some small tweaks to account for west coast tastes (was the mac salad a bit lighter or was I just not trying to eat it in 90% humidity?).Icee was so good. Super easy to scrape into small bites and I had been missing that li hing mui favour. Will definitely get it again!EDIT: Have ordered several more times. Easily one of our favourite local spots.
Janice Kabuya: Love their Ube pie! Tess and Thomas are two of the nicest people!
Genevieve Goheen: If you have ever been to Hawaii and tasted any traditional dishes, then do yourself a favour and order from Hanai, you will NOT regret it! You can tell the quality and the love that goes into the food they make! Absolutely amazing, made us feel like we were back in Hawaii having dinner. Mahalo Tess & Tom!!
Asha Wheeldon: Hanai makes some the best Hawaii food and desserts. my family and I love the fried ube mochi so much! Tess and Tom are incredible and put lots of love into every dish.
Lauren Sundstrom: Wow. Just wow. If you haven’t tried their Ube pie, their deep fried mochi or their spam musubi, you’re missing out. Run by two of the nicest humans in the world, this will satisfy those cravings for Hawaii you might be having as we head into the rainy season here in Vancouver. If you order, say Mahalo to Tess and Tom for me!
Sean Neild: Authentic eats for sure! The spam masubi is where it’s at from what I’ve tried so far and the somen noodle salad special is delicious!
Sharayah Sigurdur: Hanai Family Table delivered catering to my work and it was amazing! The food was incredible and they were so easy to work with when organizing the meal, I can't recommend them enough if you need catering.
Shell: Everyone should give @hanaifamilytable some love. Not only did they go out of their way to make the spam musubi gluten free, but they also gave me an extra one 😊 the whole family also loved the food.
Haitham El-Khatib: Bites of heaven! Everything Tess makes is simply a bite of heaven!

Poke Bar (Lonsdale): what do users think?
Gracey Dohm: I had the beef bulgogi rice and rice was undercooked, the japchae only contains noodles and was super dry. The beef was just okay but doesnt taste fresh.
Jane Oulton: Just enjoyed a delicious, fresh poke bowl built to my specifications. A real treat! Highly recommend if you like poke bowls to go visit the Poke Bar on Lonsdale.
Petro Klimashewsky: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Tracy: Their poke bowls are fresh & really tasty. A bit pricy, but you get what you pay for :) I usually get the Yuzu with Gochujang sauce. Would recommend!
Daniel Zhao: My girlfriend and I ordered 2 bowls and at least 3 items were swapped. The quantity of fish given was also very small and avocado only half ripe. Overall taste was ok
Chelsey Sanchez: Try their kale noodles in your bowl instead of rice / salad - you wont' regret it! When my sister comes home to visit, she always makes sure to get a meal here before she leaves!
Keriyon: Well thought I try poke from this place and the negative reviews are right. They have not changed their proportions at all. Extremely small amounts for the price you pay. The foods not bad, edible, though I feel sorry for those who give high praises for this store because seriously what they give feels more like an appetizer dish than anything more. Honestly travel outside Lonsdale and you'll find cheaper and better sized poke restaurants.
No Name: So expensive and did not get my moneys worth!!paid 25$ and they didnt even fill the bowlRecommended dishes Build Your Own Poke Bowl …More
The127domca: Never ever buy there a ramen! Disgusting. I ordered by uber eats it was cold and the broth tastes like a water. Eeeeh. Never again.
anita meng: So great poke bowl
diba yamout: Ridiculously small portion. Charges 2$ for kale noodle every where else charges 1 and also tells you its x amount extra.doesn’t tell you how build your own bowl works and incredibly rude. Wants to charge for everything. I want dressing on the side and wanted to charge for the container. Didn’t ask if I want a bag. I asked her to torch and she said they only torch the existing item in the menu that doesn’t make sense anywhere else I have been they have done it. and last but not least food tasted awful and was not fresh at all. I have been to many pole bowl places in DT and burnaby this one is 100% rip off
albert: Poke Bar on Lonsdale is a popular fast casual restaurant known for its delicious Hawaiian-style poke bowls. Located in the trendy Lonsdale neighborhood, the restaurant has a modern, minimalist design and a lively atmosphere. The menu features a wide variety of poke bowl options, with a variety of proteins to choose from including tuna, salmon, tofu, and chicken. Customers can also choose from a selection of fresh vegetables and sauces to top their bowls. The poke bowls at Poke Bar are inspired by traditional Hawaiian flavors, with ingredients like seaweed, pickled ginger, and green onions adding depth and complexity to the dish. In addition to its signature dish, Poke Bar also offers a selection of sides like edamame and seaweed salad, as well as a selection of drinks like iced teas and smoothies. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. Overall, Poke Bar is a great spot for a quick and satisfying meal. The poke bowls are always fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere is lively and welcoming.
Shabi Asgari: You guys are awesome and you should know that!! I am blown away by the customer service! I ordered delivery this evening because I am super sick & couldn’t muster up the energy to cook. When I received my order, right on time, I read a little note that read “thank you for ordering :) have a great day”. That little note truly is the highlight of my day - one act of kindness goes a long long way. Put a smile on my face & refilled my faith in humanity, which has been an empty cup lately. Thank you for taking the time to write that note & thank you for the consistent, extremely warm and friendly customer service. How could I forget…THE FOOD IS AMAZING TOO!! You can’t lose with this place :)
Gabrielle Segur: I ordered the 2 protein poke bowl and was so disappointed with the size. Half of my bowl was empty...at least they could have filled it up with rice. Not worth the price.
Anna An: It was my first time trying poke and it was very delicious!! The staffs were all very nice and patient. They explained how everything works and how many choices we have in each steps. Planning to come back soon!
송세아: I’ve been to lots of poke places and this is my favourite out of all! They have so many fresh ingredients that are included in the bowl. I got to choose all the veggies I wanted and side salads. Loved the quality and service!
Kimiya Zakikhani: delicious but extremely small portion. We were all hungry after leaving this place. The portion is not worth the price.
Haris Shah: Terrible experience ordering dinner for delivery, I paid 26$ for 4 Protein Aburi and got a sad amount of protein and a scoop of rice.Definitely avoid this place, not sure how their in-person service is since you are present for it being made but nobody enjoys ending a long day with this sort of experience and then receiving a "sorry we will do better next time", clearly this is an ongoing issue and hasn't been fixed, look at the other reviews.
Carrie Minns: The poke bowl was good but the portion was extremely small. Really disappointed. Not worth $20.
John Pozadzides (John P.): Friendly service, fresh, and delicious.

GOLFTEC Vancouver Terminal Avenue: what do users think?
Joshua Cherry: When I first stepped into Golftec I had a rough idea how to swing a club. I could, occasionally, make the ball go straight and to where I wanted it to land. After just a few sessions with Norman he was able to dial in why I was making as many mishits as I was, provided drills I can do at the range, and was just an amazingly positive coach.Without question, if you are looking to take that first step to beating your buddies on the course, this is the place to do it. Zero regrets.
Adnan Siddiqui: Just okay: overall, relatively disappointed with the experience.Bought a 10 lesson pack + practice time + club fitting. The coach was very nice and well intentioned - clearly he wants his students to succeed. At first, I was very optimistic about the use of video to methodically fix my swing. However, I found the lessons to be random, with drills and swing aids used somewhat haphazardly vs. building a foundation from start to finish. There was a wall of “technical” information thrown at me, to the point where I couldn’t function on the course because I was trying to think about too many unnatural things at once. Also, the comparisons to Tour players are interesting, but I don’t have the talent or physical abilities of Morikawa, Woods, or Johnson, and I feel that it would have been more helpful to work within my body’s parameters. The 3-month time limit on the lesson pack also meant that they were too frequent for me to have enough time to try to dial in one change before thinking about something else.Lastly, the driver fitting was not as helpful as previous fittings I have had. Much of the fitting was spent with shaft types and weights not suitable for me and I wasn’t able to ascertain enough relevant info to help make a decision before time ran out. The technology used is not quite as advanced as a Trackman but totally fine for an average golfer to get fitted.Overall, it didn’t work for me but may work for others. I should mention that I now have an online repository of lessons and tips that I’m sure I will find useful over the summer as I work to improve on my own at a slower pace.
Jovan Vuksic: I bought a lesson pack and worked with Norman Baufield, well worth it! I improved so much over one winter and I'm enjoying golf far more as a result. Also did a club fitting, and purchased clubs, and I would say there was no pressure, just a desire to get the right clubs in my hands. Would highly recommend.
Keith Allan: I have been working with Norm at GolfTEC Terminal Avenue for a few years now and the experience has been tremendous. Instead of overcomplicating things he has a way of breaking down the key fundamentals of the swing and emphasizing what you are doing well but also areas where there could be improvement. His positive attitude allows you to gain confidence in the fact you are making improvement and on your way to where you want to be if you put in the time and make the commitment. All of the instructors at Terminal Avenue are great and I would most definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to improve their golf game.
Alexander Morris: Did a wedge fitting here, it was just fine, nothing to complain about. Place needs a refurbishment though. Old technology, tired looking and isn't comparable to other fitting studios.
Alex Hung: Cookie la O' has been instrumental in helping me go from 100+ to my most recent round of 74 in 16 holes (Riverway had some slooooooow golfers). It wasn't easy though. I spent many hours on the simulator trying to implement the changes Cookie outlined for me and watched and rewatched the video breakdowns from Cookie repeatedly trying to understand in detail the causes and fixes for my issues (slices, chunks, thins, etc.). Before I met Cookie at Golftec, I tried to learn how to swing watching online videos and going to the range but I got frustrated with my progress, or lack thereof. Having a coach be able to instantly assess the problem and implement drills to fix the issue is invaluable and a massive time saver. It also inspired confidence knowing that I was getting instruction from someone who played on the Asian tour. I got to see how good he is first hand during our on course session. If you're looking for an instructor who can identify your swing faults, provide drills to fix your issues and YOU ARE WILLING to put in the work to fix your swing, Cookie at Golftec is the guy for you.
Wilfred Ly: Coach is a nice guy. Just didn't really provide adequate feedback and explanations for what he was trying to achieve. Don't waste your time or money. Better off finding a good CPA elsewhere.
Urbanfella: I not sure who, what or how they teach at this place but so far they destroyed my best friends golf swing seeing what they have done with him wouldn’t go near the place.
Lindsey Dru: I gifted my Dad Titleist fitting, clubs and bag for his birthday. We had to call numerous times to schedule. They ran us around to 2 stores to find the right person. They scheduled the fitting for a day they were out of office, without telling us, so he arrived to a locked store. They wouldn't return calls or emails to place the order. It was like pulling teeth to get service or response. Our $4000+ of business went elsewhere.
Otilija Klimaite: I read reviews (one in particular) and I can’t stop laughing. 😂Golf isn’t a game where you go for a ten lessons and have your swing changed… You need to go to the driving range after each session for many many many times. This sport requires so much dedication, hours and hours of hard sweaty practice. And best part is… You can’t buy it!
Sawyer Redpath: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismMiles has been a joy to learn from and work with. My score is lower, I know my tendencies, I know what to work on and I have gained a lot of consistency. Miles is a very friendly guy who knows his stuff and knows how to break instruction down to make it understandable. A true professional. Golf is more fun than ever now.
Martin Lusk: Critical:ValueAfter 10 lessons my golf swing was completely gone. I was feeling really good about my game and was looking far a little fine tuning but instead my game was devastated.
Jeremy Wilson: Positive:Professionalism,ValueWent into golf tec for a club fitting today. Loved the service by Matthew. He really took the time to make sure that I was going to get the right set of clubs for my game. He also was able to provide some pointers on my swing which was a plus. 10/10 would recommend their service. May have to even book some lessons.
Carson Sedun: First class golf analysis facility. Countless shafts and clubs to choose from. Equipment is all high end. Overall a good experience and would go back again. Tyler let me hit a LOT of balls into the net and I even came back a second time. Downside is that they do not let you take the clubs to a driving range.... Otherwise would recommend checking it out - the #'s don't lie and you can learn a lot from a 1-hour session. Definitely worth the $100 to help mitigate the risks of your golf game!
Lawrence Chan: An excellent center to learn and refine your golf game. Tremendous coaches, I was lucky enough to work with Kyle and Nicasio.
matt morris: Getting back into golf this year has been a very challenging and humbling experience. I soon realized after repeatedly whacking balls at the range that my randomized shot patterns meant I needed some much needed professional help.I was referred to Norman B. through an acuiainence at my gym and went in to check out what Golftec was all about.I was very impressed with the camera technology for swing analysis and the ball flight simulator. Although you’re only hitting into a net, being able to watch and anylize your swing allows you to learn the fundamental and basic essentials for a good consistent golf swing.Throughout the season I’ve been able to take 9-10 strokes off my handicap and my swing instead of feeling jarring and pushed now feels effortless. I’m not fatigued after and during rounds which is making things exponentially better.Thank you Norman for the education and support. I will definitely be back next year making things even better.
Geoffrey Saunders: Very POOR traveled across city to find shop closed but nothing on website informing you of this fact 👎🏼
Billy Pun: Instructor doesn't even know what's hmt. It's funny that it's called golf "tec" Anyways, maybe it's time to get a projector for students instead of hitting into a net.
Dianna Morley: James at Golftec has done an amazing job of helping me to adopt a more efficient, structured, and effortless golf swing. With the video footage and motion measurement technology as training tools, James helped me to break down my swing into sections and relearn each piece of the puzzle. It gave me the ability to be more conscious of my body's movements throughout the swing and be able to repeat the correct positioning more accurately. This consistency has compounded new muscle memory patterns and timing into the makings of a great golf swing. Thank you James and Golftec!
Triathlon Training: Golftec is the way to go if you want to improve your golf game. I have taken many private lessons from other instructors but nothing compares to Golftec. When the student can see on the video in slow motion what they are doing and compare with the correct technique, that is huge. You get instant feedback so you can practice effectively. There is no point practicing wrong technique because you will just groove the wrong swing. My instructor James Heath, teaches me one new thing each lesson and over a series of lessons, the improvement is beyond my expectations. This series of small steps is critical because if he taught me multiple things all at once, it would just overwhelm me. I highly recommend Golftec and James Heath and I have referred my friends and family. Jimmy C.
Michael Macpherson: I started with Golftec several months ago after becoming very frustrated with my golf game. Golftec does not advocate "quick fixes" for your game, rather a long term approach that builds your swing from the ground up. If you are looking for genuine improvements ,and are willing to work at it, Golftec is for you. Along with your lesson package you have access to weekly practice time in Golftec's camera bays. During the practice sessions you can work towards making the changes your coach has suggested (and you can actually see what each swing looks like on the two slo mo cameras) . My personal coach at Golftec has been James Heath. James has been wonderful, has shown a real interest in me and my game and is a real pleasure to work with. Under James' guidance my game has gone from total frustration and disarray to solid play with a plan in place for continued improvement.
