Adam Carr: Incredible service, lovely staff
Gill Hoegen: $200 right into the trash. Extremely disappointed in both the product and their customer service. I ordered their custom ear plugs which are marketed as soft and to fit perfectly into your ear canal. Much the opposite the silicone they’re made of is quite hard and they were very uncomfortable, almost painful. After the remade they offered I felt no difference, it almost felt like they didn’t even look at them let alone had them changed or created new ones. When I told them I am very disappointed in the product they asked me to come in again for another remake (how many times do they need to see me until they get it right?), when I declined and said I don’t have time to come in a THIRD time (I have a commute) and that I would like to return the ear plugs for a refund instead, they outright said no refund will be given and went dark on me. I understand this is a customized product but we are not talking $15 underwear, they charge over $200 for those ear plugs. They completely ghosted me even after several follow ups. Is this how you treat a customer? Take their money, deliver a flawed product and go dark? I am shocked by how Hear Canada operates and strongly advise not to use their services.

Thomas Goodall: Kind of a funny name for a business when you sit down and think about it. But, great service and I have to say, while I was nervous about having "buyers remorse" for spending so much money on a pair of custom made ear plugs vs. what I've been using, a foam ear plug costing around $.05 per pair, I've had none. My ears have never been more comfortable. For work, shooting, loud babies, you name it, my ears and wallet have never been happier. I got my ear plugs with an A filter and it allows me to use my phone, and listen to the radio at work, but loud noises are shut right out. I really love them and I've passed these guys names on to others.
Mas Kobuchi: Got my custom ear plugs for travelling. Took a gravel and anti anxiety medication, Slept like a baby on the plane for a 23 hour flight. Only time I woke up was when they served food. Great quality, worth getting if you have trouble sleeping. I have sleep apnea and light sleeper. This helps deep sleep

M: I was recommended Sound Hearing Clinic by an audio industry professional that works with world-renowned live music performers. The staff are professional, friendly and honest. The hearing test along with getting my moulds done, was thorough and easy. Dr. Hansen answered all my questions and offered more information and different options for the types of ear plugs that I would need. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I will be going back when I need to get a pair of in-ear monitors.

She is extremely professional and honest and I would very highly recommend her for anyone looking for hearing aids. Before my appointment with Susan, I had a consultation with a large hearing aid chain and they were very aggressive in trying to sell me hearing aids. Susan recommended that I not get a hearing aid as it would aggravate an existing ear condition. She's the best!

Trevor Field: Being new to Vancouver and in need of new hearing aids, I did a quick dipstick test by calling in at three audiologists to speak to front-desk staff. On that basis Vancouver Hearing Centre was the obvious choice, and everything that followed confirmed it was the right choice. Meredith was totally professional as well as being very understanding and intuitive about my hearing problems; I had really good guidance about the choice of aids, with no pressure and a generous trial period. Any problems, such as a slightly mis-shaped ear mold, were dealt with rapidly and completely to my satisfaction before payment. I absolutely recommend this business.
Merrilee Heard: I had my hearing checked by my ENT and he said I clearly had major hearing loss. He recommended Vancouver Hearing Centre. I had my appointment with Katherine and was really impressed. I had no idea how much I was missing. I also didn't know that poor hearing can cause you to be extra tired as your brain tries to interpret sounds. The service is excellent, the front desk staff are wonderful. I am so very happy with my hearing aids.

Riley Broderick: There is a charge at this clinic for a hearing test.They do a one hour check of your hearing, and according to them, other free places do only a 5 minute check.They seem to do a good job. You might find this the best way to go for a hearing check, but it's important to know that it will cost $70 if you are on a budget or like to know the deal you're making before you get into it.

Guity Griswold: I wish I could give them less than one star. It seems to me that this company doesn't care about helping people with their hearing. They care only about making money. I moved here from California and have an international one-year warranty from Oticon. My charger broke and Oticon will replace it for free. But I have to go thru one of the clinics that offer Oticon products. NexGen sells Oticon. But they told me twice on the phone (not very kindly) that they do not honor Oticon's warranty and I have to pay full price. If this is not a lack of caring, I don't know what is. Oticon said they cannot enforce whether a clinic offers their warranty or not. I have to find another clinic and drive a long distance.Update on 23 Feb 2023: I highly suggest Echo Hearing on 2533 W. Broadway. When I called Echo hearing after the unkind treatment by NexGen, Dr. Vavrovicova immediately asked me to bring in my broken hearing aid charger and get a loaner from her. She only cares for her patients and not her pockets. I highly suggest her practice.

As mexican foreigners it was complicated staying here in Canada but the stellar attention we received from all the staff and mostly Dr. Hemin Amir Alimadi made it all worth it. I would recommend this place with all certainty to whoever is considering coming.

But Leah suggested that I did a free initial hearing test and consultation first.Leah, and the hearing test staff, as well as the office staff are nice, professional and helpful.The free initial hearing test and consultation took half hour. Leah suggested that my initial hearing test result was fine and I did not need the special tests or hearing instruments for now. But if later on, I need any of these, they will be there to help too..

Jon: Dr. Navid Shahnaz and his staff were incredible. I went in to get full testing (including high frequency), and they were meticulous and patient. Dr. Navid then gave me a lot of very useful information (and support) regarding my condition. Furthermore there was no fee.Much better than the audiologist clinic next door which didn't do the full suite of tests, seemed uninterested when they found out I wasn't a hearing-aid candidate, and charged me a huge fee!Thanks NextGen Hearing, keep up the great work!

It helped me understand why I had difficulties communicating and hearing -- especially in groups. The experience was eye opening and I certainly appreciated the manner in which the information was presented. Prefer Bluetooth connectable models as all settings can be done easily on iPhone. Batteries life can be disappointing, regardless of daily length of use. Cannot be blamed on Costco though.

Jennie was really nice over the phone when providing information on their clinic and assisting the whole process. Did my hearing test with Matthew and did a free trial for the hearing aid recommended to me for my budget. Was a great and stress free experience, as I had many questions about the aid appropriate for me. Matthew was great and patient answering all my questions, and gave great advice for the hearing aid modals and how they could assist my hearing loss. After testing a few modals I decided and was really happy with the choice. Big thanks to Jeannie and Matthew for all their help and guidance as I went through this process! Would highly recommend anyone needing a hearing aid to check this clinic out and see Matthew!
Teresa Friesen: I was a bit skeptical going to Expert Hearing for free testing but needed a second opinion after my recent sudden hearing loss on my right ear. Mr. Matthew Lam did not only put me at ease, but delivered a very positive news on the testing. It turned out that my hearing loss is not as dire as the result of my first test and I don’t need any hearing aid for now. What a relief!I find Mr. Lam at Expert Hearing to be a very ethical and knowledgeable technician in his field and his primary care is for his patients’ best interests. But they are on the business of selling (expensive) hearing aids. At a massive mark-up.. So if your on the market for a new or first time Aid. Go to Costco.. or at least check them out. Half price for same equipment..

If the people around me would not talk so loud, I would hear.... Will aids change my appearance, make me look old?") do not happen when you visit Katarina and Kirsten for a test.They are professional, friendly, and reassuring and, for good reason. I have had my aids for a few weeks now: No one notices them, the noise in restaurants no longer interferes with conversation, music sounds sharper, and my wife does not need to talk loud any more.The service for both batteries and advice is prompt and courteous. Care is taken in instructing you how to apply and look after these miniature aids. This means you are not constantly worrying -- put them in and wear them all day. They can change the quality of your life.

I suffered loss of hearing in my left ear when I was 15, caused by a firecracker that was thrown and exploded next to my ear at a concert. A specialist recently confirmed that the explosion had dislodged a bone that obstructed my ear, that could be corrected with surgery or a hearing aid.In late January, I met with Peggy Hatzoulis, the registered audiologist at NexGen Kerrisdale. Astutely aware that I would be overly-sensitive to noise after 50 years, Peggy lent me a hearing aid and meticulously over 3 weeks to adjust the volume, frequency and even the impact of sudden noises so I could gradually become accustomed to hearing again. My hearing is now restored and balanced. Sound now comes from the center and not solely from my right ear, and I feel better equilibrated physically and mentally.I know that my transition to hearing would never have been this easy had I not dealt with Peggy. She was empathetic, patient and extremely thorough to ensure a smooth transition to normal hearing. I could not recommend a better and more professional audiologist than Peggy Hatzoulis from NexGen Kerrisdale. It’s truly been a life changing experience for me!

Other clinics are not as responsive for earwax removal and some do not offer this service, but this hearing clinic does.
