Wilde Style Equestrian: what do users think?
Dorothy Patzer: Wilde Style Equestrian is a wonderful place where my daughter has grown leaps and bounds in her confidence as a rider. She has worked with Kendra for 5 years now and her love of horses and the sport continues to grow. Her appreciation for stable management, caring for the horses and learning to work with younger riders are very evident. My daughter understands the importance of good communication skills and hard work. She has also created many positive relationships with the other riders in her lesson group. It has become integral to her social and emotional growth. Kendra does a fabulous job of coaching her; very encouraging, calm and steady and always tries to challenge her to go to the next level. The barn is very well maintained by Chris and Kendra and the horses are all loved and well taken care of. The location the barn is easy to get to. The many riding packages offered give riders options for lesson times. Kendra is flexible when trying to accommodate school schedules for her students. Thank you Kendra and Chris!
M T: As an employee at Wilde Style, I enjoy working with such great horses and riders as well as working with such lovely and amazing clients. There is an atmosphere of professionalism from the other employees along with the owners of the facility. They are capable of keeping in mind the best interest for not only their clients but also their horses.
Angela Ye: Anne has been here for two years learning all about horses. She likes her teachers very much and enjoys the learning process. There are very professional teachers, great grounds and quality horses. We will continue to learn here.
Natasha Majdand: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityMy daughter has been riding with Kendra for 3 years now. From her first lesson to her first competition it was a seemles transition filled with fun, professional work and excellent communication. She continues to ride and develop riding skills with love and patience.
Jennifer Nelson: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismMy daughter has enjoyed lessons here for 6 years. The atmosphere created for the riders is fantastic. Skill development, animal care, leadership and friendships are created.
Ayelet Shachar: I have known Kendra for many years. My daughter started taking lessons with her when she was 5 and after a break, we came back to Kendra 2 years ago. The progress my daughter has made in 2 years is incredible, we experienced many coaches and Kendra is without a doubt the most professional, hard worker, kind and caring coach that we know. We feel that Kendra and Chris' family barn is our second home. Kendra cares about the kids and the horses like they're her own family. My daughter spends most of her days at the barn with her friends and her horse, they get many leadership opportunities and have many social events. The group of kids over there are very connected and love to spend time together after lesson hours. I will recommend Kendra to any rider at any skill level. Kendra is a role model to my daughter, and we love being part of this community.
carrie Paleologos: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWe love Wild Style Equestrian! It’s a fantastic place for horseback riding lessons. The instructors are alway patient and professional. The horses are so sweet as well. We always look forward to our riding lesson on Galabea and Honey every Wednesday.
Vivian Ma: Our 3 year old daughter started with wilde Style Equestrian bc in the spring of 2021. Our daughter has attended at weekly classes and horse shows. Kendra, Chris and Mya are all fabulous people to work with. Coaching a young child is not an easy task, and most other schools would not entertain taking on a 3 year old. They've managed to keep our daughter engaged in developing riding skills as well as grooming and tacking.Everyone we've met has been very friendly and supportive. Most importantly, our daughter loves it so much here she never wants to leave. Highly recommended.
roberto mizuno: Positive:ValueStyle Wilde Equestrian is a school that provides professional horse riding class to its students, teacher Maya is a coach who gives security and confidence, and has a pleasant personality that creates the connection so that her students feel motivated to continue learning.
Brian Libin: Kendra has been active in the Southlands riding community for over 25 years. She is a British Columbia and Canada certified coach and equestrian instructor. Her goal has been to achieve the highest standards for her students and herself in hunter jumper competition.Wilde Style Equestrian provides a comfortable atmosphere for riders to improve their chosen sport in a beautiful country like setting. Full board is available for riders who have their own horses. Schooling horses are available on site too.A great place to learn how to ride or take lessons to enter competitive riding. All centrally located in beautiful south Vancouver, BC.
Michelle Ray: Positive:ProfessionalismKendra is an exceptional teacher and builds wonderful rapport with her students. She is highly respected in the equestrian community , having established a first-class facility and solid reputation with her clients.
Brad Durocher: I grew up with horses and have been a long term employee with Wilde Style Equestrian. I absolutely love working here. The owners, staff and clients are all such wonderful people. In our staff meetings you can tell how much they care and how much they invest in the success of their students. So happy to be a part of such an incredible group. WS Equestrian.
Junmin Shi: I will definitely recommend this place. The kids are not only learning ridings but also are training in stable management and the horsemanship. Each month the equestrian also organises the riders to study the rider level test which can be used towards high school credits. The owner Kendra and Chris also organise movies in the stable, etc. lots activities to make the riding classes more fun. And compare to other Equestrians, the riding time and the price are very reasonable as well.
C D: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Mitra Mohandesnejad: Critical:Professionalism,Quality
Joey X.: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityNice professional couches, they have good communications with kids. My kids love here, and always looking forward to the lessons. Great place for kids.
Cindy: Positive:ProfessionalismMy son started to ride with Kendra and the team a year ago. Great communication with children, encouraging them. We are happy to see his tremendous improvement in skills, being responsible and taking good care of the horses.
Avani Arora: I have been with Kendra for a little over 9 months and those 9 months have been very special. During the beginning of the COVID pandemic I decided that I wanted to start horse back riding, it started with just one lesson every Sunday which then turned into 3 a week. After riding for about 3 months I did my first show with one of Kendra’s horses. After that Kendra began help me to search for my first horse and after about a month we found Guinness who is now my first horse. Me and Guinness now ride 5-6 days a week and have progressed a lot with Kendra’s amazing coaching skills.
Ai Whelan: Positive:QualityGreat place to learn horseback riding. My daughter is enjoying every lesson. Highly recommend.
sophia Hanson: My son has been studying here for more than two years. Before choosing this place, I compared all equestrian schools. This is our favorite and satisfied!
Nina Zhou: My sister has been riding with Kendra for several years now and I recently started as well. Kendra is an amazing coach with a reliable and hard-working herd of fantastic lesson horses. The barn has a friendly environment and it’s clear that Kendra puts effort into building a positive team spirit. Her younger students all seem to be friends with each other and get along nicely. A great place to build your riding foundations and advance your riding!

North Shore Equestrian Centre: what do users think?
Molly Jung: Lovely horses 😍Friendly teachers👍🏻
Karley Little: Great coaches and community, fantastic horses and lovely facility in the heart of the city!
Taryn Fort: NSEC is an amazing places the horses are healthy and happy and they love their job! The staff are very friendly and will come to help if they see that you need it. I have been riding at NSEC for three years now and I love it, the experience of getting to ride so many different horses is amazing because if you go on to lease or buy a horse than it will be easier to learn how to ride it. I have learned so much at NSEC and even if you don’t end up leasing or owning a horse you can still have amazing bonds with the schooling horses.
Brighten: I loved my lessons and all the horses my fav was NYX but they give you the full exp like grooming and takeing up
Leah Nelson: EXCELLENT experience at NSEC. Their instructors are very attentive, knowledgeable and very importantly, they are great with kids! We will absolutely be back!
Romily Amat: I ride here and I love it the instructors are amazing and the horses are healthy and kind and never buck or rear. They have great arenas and a great property!I would say they should get better tack and maybe repaint the barn {inside}But without that five star all the way
b man: Plenty of nice horses
G S: Place to experience with handling horse
Elise Gregg: My daughter was so happy to get in to one of the NSEC camps this summer! She is 10 and has had an amazing week making friends, learning about horses and riding. The facility is clean and organized and the instructors have been patient and helpful. The communication from staff via email throughout the summer has been clear and very responsive. We hope to attend a camp again next summer!
ali hoseini: Long long waiting list. But worth
Lindsay Young: My daughter is doing a summer camp at the North Van Equestrian Centre and LOVES it! She is 9 and has done a variety of summer camps throughout the years and says that this is hands down her favourite. The instructors are amazing and patient and the time spent learning about horse care is awesome. It isn’t just about riding but encompasses all aspects of horse care from tacking up, grooming etc. Then of course there is the riding! My daughter has improved 10 fold in ability and confidence in just a few short days. We definitely want to continue to do lessons here.
Lee Wiebe: My 5 year old daughter was introduced to horses here and she LOVED it. The staff are very patient and friendly. The horses all looked healthy, happy and loved. Great experience
Mark & Angela Girard: Great fun place for kids to learn the fundamentals of horse riding.
Gerald Roscoe: Nice , horses being trained to jump.
711kshields: I've never actually gone in here due to covid. I sit on the side of the road and watch the horses being fed with a horse obsessed 3 Yr old girl that I look after. The staff are just lovely, every week they approach us and bring horses over for us to pet. They are super engaging and kind towards us every week, even when we have our shy days.
Shahin Dourandish: Trust me, you'll it too
Angelique Botha: Can’t say enough good things about this place! As a staff member and student here there is such a supportive and friendly environment wether that’s other staff, boarders or lesson kids and parents. This barn is truly like a second home, supportive and caring through thick and thin.
jessica macneal: I started in school lesson program and moved my way to owning my horse. I’ve been riding here for years with good coaches and a good program environment to learn at. The staff are knowledgeable and super friendly.
samantha eby: I learnt to ride at NSEC on the school horses and progressed up to being a competitive rider and owning horses. My horses were always well taken care of by the knowledgable staff, and I continue to ride and learn here.
Emma Windsor-Liscombe: The owner and instructors are VERY negligent. I was put on a horse I did not feel comfortable with and as a result was thrown against a wall: I suffered a broken pelvis. The instructor (Lauren) forced me to walk up a hill to the office (so she was basically dragging me), instead of keeping me still (the proper protocol). The owner looked at me and laughed, saying "Poor you!". I was told to wait in the office with an ice pack and that I would be better after a hot bath. At this point I was completely stunned by the pain and what had happened. Absolutely no concern was shown and I later learned this is common with certain stables that are afraid of lawsuits... I was picked up by my husband: no one at the stable would help me walk to the car (which was impossible and only achieved because my husband carried me to it.) No one ever followed up with me. We informed them of what had happened and no one showed any remorse. I also question the care taken of the horses here: it is clear they have little room to more about in, except when they are being used for lessons.
Pamela Westerman: Amazing Equestrian programs! Riders are taught horsemanship, stable management, groomiy, tack, and riding. Do much more than just riding lessons! Wonderful!Animals are well cared for and loved. Barns are well organized and maintained. There are 2 covered riding rings. One is indoor allowing for year-round excercise. Equestrian boarding available. Multiple grooming locations. Tack well maintained, blankets go for regular cleaning, hoof care follows a routine schedule, and care is taken to ensure all animals receive excercise rotations to ensure all animals get attention and love.Simply top drawer! My daughter started a Therapudic Equestrian Program. Very happy with it. Again. So much more than riding. Ground work, horsemanship, clicker training a miniature horse for therapy visits, lunging, barn skills,... It is just wonderful! Love it!

Pinecrest Stables: what do users think?
Miya Markovich: Robyn and the Pinecrest Stables Team are amazing! Robyn has helped me develop my riding as well as make me into a better horse person. She has been helping me develop my young horse that was recently imported from Europe and my young one absolutely adores her. She is always patient, enthusiastic and professional, never failing to put a smile on my face and my horses during every lesson no matter the circumstance. Robyn has also helped me complete my B pony club level this year providing me assistance and all the knowledge to complete my goals. Her and her team have given me comfort in time of need when my previous horse passed away unexpectedly of natural causes and I always know my horse is being taken care of with her. I have learned so much this year training with Robyn and every day she helps me move forward and learn more. Thank you so much Robyn and the Pinecrest Stables Team for the endless support and kindness!
Kimberley Vancityeq: I have been in a training program with Pinecrest Stables owner & head coach, Robyn Hunt, since 2010. Robyn & her fabulous team of equine professionals have been amazing to work with. Robyn has helped me train my OTTB as a very successful jumper and we are now playing around in the Hunter ring as well. Robyn is focussed on providing a safe and fun learning environment for both horse & rider. Her training programs are always geared towards the long term happiness and soundness of our horses. Thank you Robyn Hunt & Team Pinecrest!! 💖Kimberley
Clare Carmichael: I love training with Robyn! Her and her team are so kind, inclusive, and supportive and I feel so lucky to be a part of it. Not only has Robyn helped me significantly improve my own horse and equitation, but she has also provided some fun, safe, and confidence building horses for me to take lessons on! She takes excellent care of both her horses and students. Thank you Robyn and Pinecrest Stables!
Steven Thibault: I have been riding with Team Pinecrest for over 2 years, with the last year being with Robyn herself on her horse River. Not only did she match me with the exactly correct horse that I needed for my level, she has been both encouraging and supportive as my skills increased and knows just how much to push when i need that little bit of extra self-esteem to get over a hurdle. Communication works two ways and anytime I have communicated clearly and respectfully my needs, Robyn has been excellent in adjusting our program to make sure that I am safe and continue to work on the skill that I may be feeling a bit apprehensive about. She is an excellent coach, mentor, horse trainer, and human being. I recommend her to everyone I speak with about my journey of learning how to ride (which i started at the ripe age of 42! :)If you are looking for someone to help you challenge yourself, meet your goals and do it while having fun, then you need Robyn in your life. 3
Susan Bridgman: I took lessons from Robyn for about 5 years, and for 2 of those years I leased one of her lovely horses (her horses are all incredibly well cared for - when the horse I was leasing developed age-related health problems, Robyn retired her but kept her and cared for her for the rest of her life). What I appreciated the most about Robyn was that she clearly enjoyed teaching an older inexperienced rider like me as much as she enjoyed teaching her young competitive riders. She understood my timidness and tailored the lessons to that - never pushing me too much, but encouraging me to push myself just enough that I steadily progressed and gained more confidence. I would still be riding with her if I hadn't had some health issues curtail my riding. I really miss my lessons with her.
Zoltan Gyulasi: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueHad a great horse for me that was safe and predictable and took the time to explain everything. Great value! Look forward to doing it again soon!
Fausta Gonzalez: Great instructors and great horses, beautiful area to ride
Lucia Candido: Robyn is amazing and has helped me so much with my confidence, I can’t imagine progressing as much with any other coach.
Wilhelmina Jardine: Positive:Professionalism,QualityI started with Pinecrest Stables when I was 5 years old (many years ago). Great group of people and horses.
Stephanie Burtchett: Positive:ProfessionalismAlways putting the horses first! It’s a wonderful team to be a part of.

Riverside Equestrian Centre Inc: what do users think?
Dr. M.K. Randhawa: This barn is so wonderful I wish I could give more than 5 stars! The coaches here are incredible! My daughter learned more in one month at this barn then she had the entire year at the other barn we were at. We have now been with this barn for 2 years and the excellence in coaching has been consistent. They have a very specific plan for each rider, a plan that takes into account where the riders' current skills are at and how best to take those skills to the next level. While working hard to build each riders skill set, they also make sure to keep the whole experience super joy-filled and fun. My daughter is inherently quite shy and so it came as such a surprise to us to see her open up and become so comfortable with everyone. She now begs us to let her spend as much time as she possibly can at the barn, she just has such a great time there. This barn has done miracles for building her confidence. Along with all of this, the overall community at the barn is such a warm, welcoming and inclusive one. Everyone... from the owners, to the management, to the coaches to the riders... they all make you feel so welcome. It doesn't matter if you have years of experience with horses or, if like us, you are brand new to this world, they make everyone feel like they are part of this amazing family!
Jocelyne Crv: The staff is very nice :)
Jackie Nahirney: A truly inclusive barn welcoming all riding abilities and meeting the needs of each rider specifically . The trainers are excellent, communicative and approachable making the training programs super enjoyable. As an intermediate rider they have helped me advance with a better understanding of connecting with my horse. They run a very professional barn that is friendly and fun to be a part of - highly recommended for beginners to advanced riders
Anouchka Farrenc: I’ve been riding at Riverside Equestrian for around 2 years and it’s been a really positive experience for me. Compared to other barns I’ve ridden at previously, this one has a great vibe and my favourite by far. The coaches are super experienced, positive, encouraging and welcoming. The facility is well managed and tidy. The horses are well treated, healthy and happy. I feel like my riding has shot up to a way higher level than when I started there and that’s all thanks to the Riverside team, especially Paige who was my coach. I am very sad to have to leave as I am moving away from Vancouver, but for sure would be staying if I didn’t have to move. I am truly going to miss riding there.
MIGUEL MARTINEZ CEJA: Very nice facilities and clean. Kids have so much fun riding horses.Covid Protocols in place. Safe to be around to watch the kids riding.
For a Whale: Had my first equestrian class with Eileen, She's really patient and helpful, she corrects me when my riding position Isn't right and tells me the key to ride is lead and have control on horseback. It's definitely harder than the horse trekking I did before but it's so much fun! Great way of challenging yourself or simply enjoy and indoor activity🤗🤗
Mitra Mohandesnejad: The one honest review They said she was fat .1 year ago I signed my daughter up so she can take riding lessons and learn how to ride. So she started taking lessons here and everything at first was ok. After a while(10 months) we noticed that she has only been trotting. She had been in trot for 10 months. So I decided to talk to the manager of the barn. I went ahead and spoke with the manager. I asked him why she has been been staying in trot for 10 months. He said my daughter is over weight (Wich she is 110lbs and 5'7) and she has been taking the "wrong lessons". After that I signed her up for the lessons he recommended. She still stayed in trot. After that we decided to switch stables because the instructors are unprofessional and rude.
keanna rafie: I came to riverside in Sept of 2018 in look of a good barn and I found it. When I walked in everyone was friendly. The horses are top prioritized and beyond well taken care of, the coaches are phenomenal , my riding has improved drastically since I've switched here. Cannot say enough great things about it!
Danica Johnson: The best barn! I have been riding with Riverside for about 6 years now, and it feels like home! The trainers are so knowledgeable, and the team here is unlike any other. The horse’s well-being is a top priority, and the people here are so nice. The trainers here have helped me so much over the years, always teaching me not only how to ride, but giving me the lessons and tools to be a well-rounded equestrian. 💙
Ray Chien: As a beginner rider, I found Riverside the best choice one can possibly dream of! It is the most welcoming place, everyone is extremely friendly and professional, and the horses are well tempered. Ally is a fantastic coach and teaches all of the proper techniques so that you don't build up bad habits. Absolutely recommend this place.
Yuri Yuen: I have been riding for 12 years and three years ago I switched this barn, and switching was definitely a great deicsion. The coaches are experienced and handles every situation with professionalism. Furthmore, all the lesson horses are treated with love as they get proper rest and care. WIthout doubt I will recommend this stable to all riding levels.
Tina Yang: I came to Riverside as a beginner rider 14 years ago. Absolutely love this barn, feels like my second home. Linda, the barn owner, is very professional and knowledgable, always makes the lesson interesting and challenging. She helped me found my first pony and my second horse. Both were well looked after by the friendly barn staffs. I would definitely recommend this barn to anyone that is interested in riding.
Michaela Kloot: I have been riding at Riverside for 9 years and I have never been to a barn that is more friendly right as you step in the door. I started at Riverside by attending their summer camp and since then I have made friendships that will last a life time, and I have become the very confident and capable rider I am today. The coaches and staff are very knowledgeable and experienced. This is a barn where you can grow and reach riding goals that you want. this is truly a barn that I am proud to call my second home.
Laura Bradford: I have been riding at Riverside for 7 years, and coming to this barn was undoubtedly one of the best decisions of my life. It has a fantastic welcoming atmosphere unmatched by other barns. The head coach Linda is very knowledgeable and experienced. She has always been incredibly thoughtful and supportive of me, and has gone out of her way to cater to my specific situation in order to help me achieve my goals as a rider. The horses are happy and healthy, as they receive top quality feed, attention, and care at all times. The staff knows each and every horse very well, and you can tell that the health of the horses is prioritized. I cannot say enough good things about this barn! Ideal for anyone, whether you have never ridden before or are looking for the perfect place to board your horse.
Jaclyn Wiebe: I have been riding at Riverside for 10 years and I absolutely love this facility. The trainers' top priority is horse care, the ring is huge, footing excellent, top quality feed, the paddocks are sand and the horses get to stay outside longer in the summer. Every time I have ever needed assistance the staff goes above and beyond to help. Overall, Linda (the barn owner) is professional, extremely knowledgeable and makes lessons fun and challenging.
Caroline McKillen: Amazing care for my 2 show horses over the past 4 years. Linda the owner and head coach goes above and beyond to keep my horses in top condition with high quality feed program and invested in my success as a rider in and out of the show ring. She has years of knowledge from coaching grand prix riders and trust her 100% with my horses care. The facility meets all my needs, good size box stalls, large paddock for my baby horse and giant arena with nice footing. Everyone is friendly and it is a nice professional environment without being pretentious. Recommend to anyone from beginner rider to advanced looking to board and show at tbird.
Alyssa Cheng: I love the people there. The horses are happy and healthy. It may be a bit dirty so don't wear any fancy clothes. True the stable is run down, but there are awesome instructors and horses. I have been riding there for about 2 years and I always enjoy going there. The horses are always looked after and they are always fed, washed, and exercised. I think that that is more important than how the barn looks.
Morgan Wu: Best Equestrian Center in Richmond!
Angelina Chen: I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Southlands Heritage Farm: what do users think?
Joshua Fujimagari: We love this farm! So many awesome animals and experiences for the kids. The staff is very friendly and welcoming!
Anne CZ: A cute little farm that has a few goats, a few ducks, some chickens, and a ton of horses. Navigating through the farm was a little tricky as no one greeted us and no one made it known that they work there and are available for questions - the 5 people who were there all looked like visitors as well. There is some signage posted reminding visitors of rules but there could definitely be an improvement on signage for where the goats, ducks, and chickens are as well as which areas people are allowed to go through. If visitors were hesitant in opening the gates that directly lead to where the chickens or goats rest, they wouldn't know that they could actually go in. This was particularly the case when we went as it was a wetter day and the goats and chickens were resting in their shelter, making it harder to locate them as first-time visitors. It's a nice place to check out once for the farm but definitely not a recommendation for a petting farm. Maplewood Farm in North Van would be best for that.
Benjamin Britton: Completely adorable farm, had fun even in the rain
Shiva Ghore Sawvad: Great place for petting animals and pumpkin patch activity.
Candace Proulx: Went here for my bachelorette, the staff and the owners went above and beyond my expectations. We did a photo shoot with pumpkins on our heads that the staff worked very hard to get for us. They literally made my night complete. Thank you so much to everyone.
masoumeh ghaemi: I am not recommend this pumkin patch.
Lavanya Selvaraj: Not much to see around except horses and goats to pet. One pumpkin is free with the admission.
Brook Jones: Had a great time visiting with our 5yo son. The farm is beautiful, and the owners are friendly and welcoming. A hidden gem in a charming and unique little corner of the city.
Ji Lv: I had my first visit with my daughter and we both loved this place so much.
Adam AC: First, there are animals, or to be more specific, goats, horses and chickens. If you’ve never been there they will give you a 20-30 tour of the place, show you how to pet or hold the animals, how to tell if their happy, scared, sad, angry, stuff like that. At the top of the barn there is an owl in a box. It has a hole in it so it can fly in and out of the box/nest. There is also a rope or a flat rope over a pond. If you want to cross side to side, you can either go on the rope, or, go around the pond. Next to the pond is the/a camping site. There is also a bone fire where you can roast marshmallows and make s’mores. Overall I had an amazing experience and there. P.S, if you are not interested see to sleeping anywhere other than your bed, then you might have a hard time sleeping like I did. I highly recommend you going there with family or friends. Byyyyeeeeee-Adam
Melissa Nielsen: Don’t bother booking online, makes no sense. We booked pony ride for 1230 to 1pm got there at 1220 and we’re told we had to wait for the pony ride at 145????!! What sense does this make? Be prepared to wait! The pony ride is also more like 2 to 3 minutes for $15 it was fun for 4 year old but wasted way too much time. Nothing to do while you’re waiting, a few chickens and ducks u can look at through a cage (can’t go in) and can look at some horsesEdit : management reached out and explained about new staff and rectified issues, would recommend based on customer service and hopefully this doesn’t happen anymore :)
Poonam Sandhu: Goats, chickens and horses - we loved exploring!
Ameya: Good place, kids can enjoy pony ride and pet other farm animals, private horse riding lessons are also available.
Safia Hasan: Kids enjoyed feeding the chickens so much. We got the grains from the office. The chicken can eat from your hands. Overall, very enjoyable experience.
Kristal Viñas: Their Kids Farm Club is AMAZING including their teacher Johnny! My child loves going there and his little sister enjoys hanging out there after we drop him off too. Staff is really friendly as well. 5 stars all the way for them!
M T.: Good selection of pumpkins. They were quick to refill the pumpkins after people pick them up.In summary, it's just like a farm for people to pick pumpkins on the table or by the fence - not a pumpkin patch. It was pretty crowded - lots of kids. No mask restrictions and social distancing. The pumpkin washing station - was a bit disgusting. I was expecting a water hose to rinse my pumpkin. But it was actually just a container with water for people to wash the pumpkin - it doesn't get replaced with every wash. Thus, I would totally recommend just washing the pumpkin at home. But in general can't complain much for $8 entrance fee.
des williams: Kinda small, weird set up for pumpkins. Haha only maybe good for a one time thing. But if ya need pix for instagram good place for ya
T J: If you're coming to the farm specifically for the pumpkin patch experience I would say perhaps choose elsewhere. As another reviewer mentioned, for $8 per person entry there is not much of a "pumpkin patch" to speak of. Most pumpkins left were quite small, strewn about the muddy property and eaten out by the squirrels. Yes squirrels are cute and need to eat however for $8 per person it isn't worth it. Trying to find one or two which were still intact was a challenge. We wound up getting proper ones at Safeway lol.Cute farm though. Horses seemed well taken care of, didn't have the opportunity to see other animals sadly. Perhaps a summer time visit would be more fun.
chris cola (LightCola): 100% recommend! When I'm not busy picking up participants, I like to help maintain the pumpkin patch
ivan Calingasan: Critical:Quality,ValueIts a scam! Paid for 3 people for 8$ each promised with a pumpkin to be picked inside. No pumpkins! Most are eaten up by squirrels. If the place is already being plagued with gray squirrels, they shouldn't have opened in the first place, charging people 8$ per entry.
Sam Barnum: It's ok. It is mostly a place for horse riding lessons with a farm-ish wrapped around. Smaller than expected and no actual pumpkin patch to speak of. Pumpkins were just scattered about. The chickens and ducks are tucked away in a somewhat dark, gloomy and not well kept corner. The rope swing was the highlight. There are other farms in and around the city that are far better for animal interactions.

Crescent Stables Ltd: what do users think?
Emily m: The stable and staff at the barn are excellent. I have a horse that has very specific needs and a strict diet (requires meds twice a day) and the staff have been very accommodating and making sure my horse is well cared for. The equitation science that is taught really takes into account several aspects of horse behaviour and has really reshaped my own approach to riding and horse handling. The old facility they had was lovely and I am looking forward to the new farm being built! All the horses are well cared for. I am away for school and it is a huge relief knowing my horse is being taken care of. Here is my very happy horse!!
Abdulhaseeb Khan: Debby is an awesome instructor. I can't wait to have lesson again at crescent stables
Greg “#alston_party_bus” Alston: Daughter loves her lessons
Momo Royale: Very nice staff. My teacher Jess is really kind and patient, and the horse Thatcher was awesome and very well trained! Thanks!
Sara Elisabet: I went here back in August so obviously this is long overdue.Anyways, I just wanted to say that I grew up a horse girl, loved horses all my life but parents were too poor to put me in any riding lessons, fast forward 15+ years at 19, I finally decided to treat myself to my very first lesson on a real horse. It was honestly a very emotional experience, to feel and be beside a horse, that sparked the little girl who was obsessed with horses in me.I was just 10 min late to my session which I called but got no answer, so just showed up to a passive aggressive instructor. I was coming from New West and traffic was terrible since I was taking transit, she was rather unsympathetic with me being late and rushed our lesson... it made me feel that me being there was a nusence and she was rushing on putting the tack on the horse, just quickly explaining to me what every equipment was... I already knew but wanted to experience putting it myself which couldn’t because we wouldn’t have “time”. I was happy I got to walk the horse to the ring and leaned to mount.Again, just the way she was telling me how to hold the reins was coming off passively aggressive and she made me feel stupid so to speak by repeating her instructions how to hold them... like yes, I heard you but you can be kinder? So she showed me while saying “this is the last time I’ll show you...” in a joking tone but felt discouraged to please and eventually got it and just did 4 full circles and boom, lesson was done... so I sheepishly said “wow that was quick haha” and she replied “maybe if we weren’t so late, your lesson wouldn’t have been so condensed...” at that point I just wanted to leave but sucked it up for the end, she scolded me on how I was holding the rope to bring the horse into its stall and continued to be condescending as if I rode a horse for years but it was my first time...Anyways, we talked for a bit and she was saying how she’s happy she’s finally off for the day which to me, felt like a slap across the face for how she couldn’t just extend my lesson to have it start when I arrived despite me being late... I figured she had another lesson but nope, she just wanted to get off ASAP...So yeah, $75 wasted... learned absolutely nothing but was so happy to mount a horse for the first time. That was worth everything to me ❤️. It’s unfortunate that just one instructor can ruin your first time experience and I had plans to lease a horse and purchase a lesson package with that stable but I dont want to experience that again. :(. I’ll be finding another stable that hopefully will have more compassionate instructors in the future...Giving two stars because of how convenient this stable is to get to with being in the bus route and it’s beautiful! But overall, a 1
Stephanie K: Lauren is a nice person and good coach and the stables look great.
Nenah Ida: Our coach was great but other coaches didn't respect our lessons and very territorial. Not friendly nor helpful at all
Tamsin Holland: Crescent was recommended to me by a friend and I couldn't be happier! Deb is a great coach and I feel my riding improving every lesson!
Tracy: After buying a groupon for myself and a friend we booked and went for our lessons on Wednesday. Thea was great , first we spent time grooming and preparing the horses. This was great because we were able to get to know the horses a little better. We learned so much information about the horses and how to treat them properly. I have been to other places to ride horses but this was by far the best experience I have had and I can't wait to go back!
Jess M. Kwong: I rode at Crescent a few times while in BC for the holidays. I absolutely loved it there--the atmosphere was warm and friendly, horses were beautiful and really well taken care of, and the facilities were excellent! My teacher, Debbie, was so helpful; I learned more in a few lessons with her than I have learned in months riding elsewhere. I can't wait to come back and spend more time there!
Odette Gauthier: I have been boarding my horse at Crescent for over two years (and riding at the barn for the better part of 10 years) and I can honestly say that I would never take my horse anywhere else. The staff are friendly, attentive and professional. I am a flight attendant and am gone quite a bit, but I never worry about my mare. When there have been issues the staff here have gone above and beyond to make sure she's taken care of until I got back. I have to give my horse a special diet (she's a tough keeper) and the feeding staff has been nothing but accommodating. (Also, the horses are fed three times a day.) The facilities are the best in the area and are being upgraded regularly and we just got amazing new footing in all three arenas. The school string horses are some of the best looking school horses I have ever seen. I could not recommend this facility any higher.
Amanda Barbillion: I currently run my lesson and training program out of Crescent Stables and we love it! At the moment we have 17 horses between myself and my clients and we all appreciate the constant upgrades to this large property including new footing in all the arenas plus new outdoor lighting! Staff and management are friendly and fun and go out of their way to make sure every horses individual needs are met I highly recomend it for anyone looking for lessons, leasing or boarding!
Clara Van Ommen: I have ridden Crescent Stables under the current management and organization for over 10 years. They have top notch staff, instructors and leadership! They are continuously making efforts to develop and improve their facility and teaching program. All of their animals and extremely well cared for and happy :)
Karen K: So fun! great staff and horses
