The Roxy Cabaret: what do users think?
L G: Decent prices for drinks and bouncers/door check are nice 👌🏼
Ethan Van Dyk: Desmond and Malik are the best. Good guys who do their job well. I would highly recommend this place for a good night
J Y: I really like the place. Music was great. Staff was friendly and the vibe was very good. People came here to have a good time and not just to hook up. loved that all ages were here so it's not only those in the 20s enjoying themselves.I want to give extra shout out to the admin staff. My wallet went missing and I've called them 3 times to check, once first thing in the day, 2nd time later when cleaners were done and 3rd the next day. I also emailed them. They were so friendly and gracious and I felt they tried to help (it's by phone but felt they were looking). Some lost and found treat you like you are an inconvenience but not the staff here. So kudos to you. You made a good impression to me, even though my wallet is still MIA.
Justin Morgan: Usually good but the last time I went was terrible, we waited an hour to get in and then all wanted to leave because it was so crowded inside everyone was constantly being aggressively shoved and groped. You couldn’t move at all or even dance without people almost knocking you over. I don’t get what the point is in making people wait an hour to get in if you’re still gonna let the club overfill like that. I’m used to crowded bars but this was the worst I’ve seen.
Kate Madden: One of my favourite spots, I have been having fun here for 30 years. It's very safe and welcoming for Trans folks too. 🏳️‍⚧️
Anthony Gador: Exactly as I remembered it
Mitchell Singer: It's not for everyone, but if you want a bar with a ton of action, the Roxy is a must stop when in Vancouver
Charlie Frie: Great live music venue
Cody Wesley: Had an epic time... good staff
Martin V.: Wednesday 1130pm and there is a line like they are handing out free money 🤣 didn't even bothered trying to wait
Mr Chatman: What a time I had here. The staff were friendly and efficient. The house and was freakin awesome. The DJ in between live sets had the place jumping. Absolutely will be going back there again and again. Go there for a time...do it, do it, do it. 🤩
Saeed F.Farahani: Rude security staff & Abuse of power in dealing with male customers
AMAN JAIN: Best security ever, specially Mr Chris, and Mr Felix respect to those guys it’s my favourite club overall in Granville with no doubts only I had to get out because of a head moment where I was not wrong but it was just the bad moment but sometimes things happen although best staff, also I wrote a bad review when I was not conscious because something unintentional happened with me and it was the moment anyways definitely the first name is Roxy and it’s people lovely place !!..❤️😭
charlotte webb: Great atmosphere and brilliant set up for music! Felt a bit hurt when the girl on the door looked and spoke down to me when she asked what I wanted, like I was a nuisance drunk person, but in fact I was sober waiting my turn for the cloakroom. There’s really no need for the rude looks and tone - I am a nice and kind girl and it upsets me when staff think they’re better than others. We’ve all got things to deal with so just be nice and don’t assume. Really let my night down
deemantha wijesekera: Awesome live music.. suitable for ages around 22+ n upwards
Justin Wiebe: This place is pretty good. Small but the sound is good and it's a fun venu to watch a live band. The bartenders know how to make cocktail drinks and have proper tattoo art on their bodies
Pam: Had great time with friends with lively music here. If you want Live band and classic one you can go here..
Adam Kingdon: I had an awesome time, live music, dancing, and great prices and staff was amazing
Jay Morgen: I love the old school vancouver vibe of this place. A bit grungey, a bit divey. Myself personally, that's what I like when I go dancing. Others may prefer a more upscale modern vibe but if you like to kick it old school and dance to a variety of music then this is the place to go!!
Karo b: Belle ambiance peut importe le jour de la semaine
Julio Salas: No aceptan pago con tarjeta, cierra tarde bastante local el lugar

Guilt & Co: what do users think?
Ziegfried Von Shrodder: Came here on Sunday, May 21st with my wife, and from the time we talked in to getting seated, we had excellent friendly service that I have not had in a while. I believe our servers name was Bradley. Super friendly guy who was attentive, I can tell they were very busy because it was a PACKED house and the music was off the charts. Western style tonight with an 1940’s flare, and bar tenders were quick and attentive as well. Highly Recommend this place. Glad we checked their online calendar for the type of music that was performing and playing tonight. If you get Bradley as your server you are lucky to have him. Staff are very professional even with the drunk idiots in the crowd! I’m sure every restaurant gets those! Check this place out! I highly recommend!
Amarjot Pabla: Been to this place many times. In the past, have enjoyed myself, but unfortunately tonight we experienced some unprofessional behavior. The man at the front, as we were exiting, stopped his coworker from stamping us for re-entry as he decided for us “because we would not be re-entering”. Not sure if this is a policy Guilt&Co has now, but from my past experiences, paying cover allows for re-entry later on. Kind of sad to see a place that I truly enjoyed fall to some horrible customer service. Maybe Guilt & Co can speak to this issue. Is re-entry not allowed after paying the same cover as everyone else in line? Kind of sad to see one of my favorite places in Vancouver fall to this type of behavior. I have so many good memories here, but unfortunately overshadowed by this staff member’s behavior.Followed up by going to Smith’s. Great staff, friendly, genuinely kind people. Highly recommend.**edit: I had a back and forth with the owner because I wanted to clarify some details. I received thoughtful responses and it seems like they are taking situations like this seriously. It’s nice to see that they are trying to improve. I have upped my star rating because of this and I hope the next time I visit, the staff will be as respectful and kind as I’m used to!
Suzette McFaul: Terrible experience. Was asked to leave as someone in my party was intoxicated. Not falling down or obxious. Maybe profiled because of age? Yes certainly older than average person. But really? Sad and disappointed tonight.
Federico baldacci: Great music plus great staff = great environment
David Geiman: Adoramos o lugar! Tinha uma banda ótima tocando e bons drinks!
Ricky Au: Fun live music that really makes you get up and dance. Their baked brie is so creamy and tasty too!
Bunny Brown: Cozy cave-like lounge with live music and great apps! Staff are friendly and accommodating. Indie entertainment here is great!
Linney Sylvester: Excellent vibes and dimly lit underground live music venue. The charge $6 per set of music. Drinks can be a bit pricey and the food is a limited, but the music is always good and so are the staff! I recommend happy hour to save a few bucks. I'd except to spend about $100 a person if u stay for few drinks and a few sets and snacks to share
Caitlin Carter: Drinks were unique and tasty, but they were overpriced and our server was rude.
T Gomez: Really enjoyed the live music and tasty drinks!
Kait B: Great cozy live music venue. Staff were great, up front and helpful when I contacted them beforehand to address some access needs. Grounds for Divorce cocktail is hands down one of the best drinks I've ever had! One star lost only because I'd expected more of the food, and there were some issues with my guest receiving their meal in a timely manner due to poor planning on the part of the kitchen.
Gabriela Ganancio: I recently visited Guilt to celebrate my birthday, and while the waitress who served us was good and very attentive, unfortunately, the evening got off to a bad start due to the unfriendly and rude staff/lady at the door. The staff member at the door seemed disinterested in providing even basic customer service and was unwelcoming from the start.Despite my attempts to engage in conversation and let the staff know that it was my birthday, they showed no interest and didn't even wish me a happy birthday. The staff member's negative attitude left a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel unappreciated and unwelcome.I hope that the management takes note of my complaints and takes steps to ensure their staff provides better customer service in the future. Birthdays are special occasions, and it's disappointing that my experience was marred by such poor treatment by this lady.Ps: Music it was very good!
stephen milton: Best atmosphere in Gastown. Good music, good service, and good vibes.
Marcel Laforge: Dope vibes
Filip Rerek: Excellent cocktails, live music, great appetizers and cool vibe! There's a cover charge to support the musicians which is a great idea :) Ms. Dos Santos was one of the most talented musicians we've ever listened to live!!! Keep the great music and exquisite cocktails going ;)P.S. the mezcal sour with an egg white on top was 10/10 and so was the garlic bread.
Tyler MacLeod: Great music venue for different tastes
Jason Kjorlien: Shopping ,a few restaurants & pubs nearby
Simran Gill: I have throughly enjoyed this place every time that I have been to it. I love how they encourage the works of local artists. It’s open everyday and hosts two shows- the early & the late show. They are both equally great. There is no reservation required as its first come first serve basis. You might end up sharing the table or standing at the bar as they try to accommodate as many people as possible. The food is average but the drinks are great. Definitely one of the must-dos in Vancouver!
Kajol Parikh: It was so loud, the drinks were okayish, the whole place too dark and a wait of 35 mins for all this!
Man Z.: Great place!
Sean Carey: Was not informed we’d be charged “per set”for cover charge. Was given the short straw, getting charged $12 for hearing 5 minutes of the first set. Waiting 40 minutes while the band took a break, and hearing 1-2 songs of the next set of the same Maroon 5 wannabe band, and getting charged another $12.All told I paid $24 to listen to ten minutes worth of music with my partner, at $20 a drink too. Maybe part of the cover is the set you hear in line while all the people who “know” someone who works there cut you. I am pretty sure the homies were being charged cover at all. Pretty disappointed.

Venue Nightclub: what do users think?
Devin: Definitely a club you would take ecstasy in, edm is their main genre of music. Good lighting. Lots of Asian people come here not to sure what that’s all about which keeps it usually crowded on the dance floor. But they do have an upper floor which goes into a different room/club hangout area with different music. Pretty cool, also 3 different bars to choose from. Drinks priced reasonably. Friendly staff. Would recommend this club to anyone looking to have a fun night out.
Ingrid Gommess: Don't go to this place! Horrible people, horrible staff, long waiting time to get in (2 hours, no kidding). It's not worth it! Not coming back. Public age range seems to be 18-20 yo.
Michaela Šuleková: On of the best nightclubs in Vancouver! If you love latino music, this place is for you. On Friday's are the best partieees! ✌🏻
Bruuj Official: Was an good place. They could have had a better sound system or something equal. Sound would distort a lot. For the same prices as other places I feel it should have better sound and talent. Other than that, staff always treated me awesome! Hope it re-opens as something new and better! RIP VENUE!
allan louie: The staff and promoters here are the best. Once things open up again, it's going to be insane here
Mike Terrine: Good vibes but bar staff could improve a lot.
Roman Amon: Please ask for your dollar when you pay, it’s $19 not 20, and they charge you 15% when you pay by card inside for drinks.
Lou Escoffier: Rude staff, they didn't give us my money back (the price is 19 and I gave 20). Not enough alcohol on the drinks. They take 15% when you pay in card. The coat check si super expansive and they make you pay all you accessories (scarves, hoodies). And the music was so bad : boring rap us and boring electro after. Not enough places to be sitting. Toilets dirty
simran saini: Last night we went there with our friends. We were really excited. We were waiting in the queue and showed our ID's as asked. The bouncer was so rude and misbehaved, didn't know how to talk with guests. We went inside and joined our crew and danced for a while. After that when we went to bar, while placing the order we asked the bartender to put some ice in our drinks. The bartender went so angry that he threw away the glass he was holding and looked at us with anger. We ignored that and went to floor again. The third time when we went to other side of bar, and ordered for the same drinks and ice, the same bartender was there again and he created the scene out of nowhere and called other guys and bouncers. They didn't even listened to us and asked us to go out. I mean i didn't expect this kind of behavior in hospitality industry. As I have also worked with big hotel brands. This place just spoiled our mood. But there are other good clubs like Studio, they were best when it comes to guest experience and hospitality. Better than the venue guyzz.
chelsea spence: My friends and I came out last night around 9:15 and I told the bouncers I had a guest list and they told me that we had to wait in the line anyways so 10:30 rolls around and we are still waiting so I ask the bouncers why we haven’t been let in even though we had a guest list and they proceeded to tell us that our guest list was invalid but when I tried to check in they said I had to wait in the line. I’ve heard great things about venue you but last night the bouncers were rude and screwed a bunch of people with guest lists over.
Wilson Lin: Very average nightclub. Nothing special, but not the worst either.
Angelo Doromal: Bartenders and live shows on point 🤘🏽 New thursdays are the vibez!
jason sulyma: Venue Flip'd The Strip In 2019 With That New $200,000+ Sound Upgrade! See U @ Feel So Good Thursdays Fam!
Jacqueline MacLeod: I come to Venue to visit Chris the bartender because he's the best bartender I know. The whole staff from the doormen to the servers always make my night out in Vancouver a pleasurable one! I met the GM and I think he was in the movie Elf. I'll have to try to get his autograph the next time I'm in.
David Khamthao: Maya is the best!!! Come for a good time!!! 5 out of five!!! Best place on Granville!! Saturday nights is a must
Steven Gamboa: Loving the new Thursday night!
T Sale: My experience here is ALWAYS exceptional! Great music on Friday's & Saturday's with a bonus of the amazing staff. I booked my gf's stag at another night club... wishing I had booked it at Venue. Long story short, we left this other club to come here and the staff was very welcoming, happy to have us, and hooked us up! We didn't wait very long at all to get in considering we didn't book a table. Christian (VIP Host), surprised us with a VIP table, and some complimentary drinks. We've been to many different night clubs over the years and have NEVER been treated so well. Thank you to Sean (Head Bartender), Christian, and Judy (Ladies room Attendant), and the security staff for this amazing experience!!! We live about an hour and a half away from downtown, and we ALWAYS go to Venue when we go out dancing. I highly recommend this night club! Whether it's a night out dancing with your gf's or to book your next big event. They will not let you down! TBH If I could give them 10 stars, I would have :)
Fabio Boschini: Stay away from this place! They are not respectful, the place is very dirty (the floor was sticky even if we were the first going in), coat check unreasonable (my scarf was considered as an additional coat).STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!
Anika Rice: Nice staff. Bit of a wait to get in but you can leave & re-enter which is nice! John is a great bartender there!
Soulina Anderson: First time here and last! Pauly D was there is the only reason I went. Bathrooms were flooded and so dirty, floor was soaked upstairs, nobody cleaning any of the glasses and bottles everywhere.Horrible experience besides Pauly D.
Virat Rajpoot: It's good I like it

The Red Room: what do users think?
Heavy Dose: You can’t trust their reviews since they are giving people free coat check if they rate this place 5 stars. Obviously they are lacking if they can’t get authentic 5 star reviews. Pathetic
Emily Bailey: Dana is the BEST
Shannon Peters: Every time I go to red room the atmosphere is great, the bartenders are lovely and the bouncers are very friendly. I love that there are women bouncers. For some reason, it makes me feel safer and respected when I see a woman at the door. Dana does a great job of that. Would come back to this place again and again.
Nicole S: latin night is super fun once you actually get inside the red room!! just beware that prepaying for guest list doesn’t do anything and you still have to stand in line (i waited 90 minutes with guest list), cover is super expensive, mandatory coat check which is either $5 or free with a 5 star review
Julian Pascuas: Expensive AF, terrible service, rude staff
santiago ceballos: Great Latino parties
Alejandro Riveros Rincon: Great place to have a night out with friends !! Highly recommended
Enrico Brandoni: Avoid! Scam
Ximena Mejía Bernal: So much fun! Always good music
Camille Camara: Amazing!!
Lucas Smith: This place is awesome
Gabriela Natanek: if you’re looking for a place to celebrate cinco de mayo look no further.

Fox Cabaret: what do users think?
Logan Wicks: I haven't danced this hard since I saw the demon barber of fleet street
Jonathan Harris: I came here for 2 nights of a metal festival and was pleasantly surprised at how good the sound quality was for the small space. Cosy venue with limited seating, friendly staff, and quick service at the bar. Definitely worth checking out if there's a show coming up that catches your eye!
Kao Lew: Went here for a metal fest. The stools were a little uncomfortable, but you're meant to be rocking out. Staff was nice and parking was easy to find.
Robert Piddocke: Good place to catch a show. Acoustics are ok.
Shaida Joukar: always fun vibes and great energy!
METALHEAVEN CANADA: The venue itself is small. The stage area is great and so is the service but compared to Toronto or New York venues, it is small, very small.
Shade Henderson: Great vibe, perfect small venue!
Mitchell “MaravillosO” Undurraga: Great local spot for drinks and dancing. Staff is exceptional and welcoming.
Danyel M: Great place to watch live music and home to a phenomenal team! Ciji was great in helping arrange event details for the projection room.
Manizha A: Came here for the first time for a friends birthday party. Our bartender upstairs was very nice and friendly, and good service downstairs as well. The place got pretty packed after 10pm. Good choice of music and overall had a great time. The SkyTrain station was about a 15 minute walk back.
Nicholas: Great vibes
bee keepness: We attended the impov there and we had a great time. Service was great, show was funny. Will definitely be checking out more shows.
Comedy In Kitsap: Great venue, staff, and drinks!
April Petry: We're visiting from Edmonton and stumbled on a show playing at Fox Cabaret (Wares who turned out to be from Edmonton and we will definitely go see preform back home), Kamikaze Nurse and Soyjoy. The venue was so cool and the bar/cocktails were great, I would highly recommend for live music! My only wish was for more chairs and tables to have a seat for a bit!
Tim Swanson: It was a blast! Went for 4 for 4 and Shimbashi Station was rocking!
Christa Siminiuk: I went dancing with some friends here last weekend and we had an awesome experience! The door staff were friendly and welcoming. The music was great and the water station was a cool perk! I will be back :)
Stephanie Sun: This is the worst place to go
Maxwell Chan: they cut someone's set 15 minutes early even though we paid to see her. they weren't even behind schedule. they just wanted to bring their dj in early at 1030
Natasha Lynne: Great little place! Good for live music and drinks!
Lauren Tremblay: We bought tickets to see Wallice and Jawny. Wallice was on for about five songs before they cut her off with fifteen minutes left. Completely unprofessional and disappointing to the artists and the people who bought tickets.
Jayana Devathasan: Great music. Shout out to Tom!

Bar None Nightclub: what do users think?
Sam G: Went there this weekend and had a good time. The atmosphere and sound were great. Met the sound and lightning engineer sekawnee and was very kind.
Dhrumit Barot: It was not a nice experience and the security person at the door was very rude. Me and my friends had been waiting for about an hour and one Asian guy allowed other people in so quickly without even tickets, we are just visiting Vancouver so we don't know about entry tickets but other came late still they gave them priority WITHOUT TICKETS.
teagan harris: They get more than 1 star when they stop making a line for an empty club.Edit:please don’t strobe for 2 hrs straight. It ain’t itEdit #2 3 hrs
Yaboy Netchi: Great atmosphere and professional staff.
Lo H: Jane and Alyssa are hands down easily some of the nicest staff at barnone and in the nightlife industry period, and have always been sweet every time I have run into them and are what makes the beginning of the night enjoyable. More recently, there have been newer girls who are working who are nothing but rude and disrespectful to me and my friends. Will not be returning if the new girls are still working. Unacceptable.
Mia: 超级赞超级有趣的夜店 推荐!
L R: Less then one star. A girl is the neice of one of the bouncers. She told him I wanted to fight when I saw her in someone's face and told them to chill basically. Her uncle bouncer came to me and ask what my issue was I said I didn't have an issue I thought she was starting something so I tried to put my arm between it and say not the place or time. He (the bouncer) came at me so aggressively I started to cry and it ruined my night. Don't go there and have fun or be a good person. Gezus 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨
Nick Potter: I’d you want to hang with drunk young men and woman, come here. It’s very expensive like most clubs…. Be prepared to have the only dance skills on the floor
LV: Extremely rude front staff that regularly likes power tripping.
Banafshe: Rude, aggressive BOUNCERS!! They let girls go in immediately but make guys wait in the line!! They just want you to pay extra otherwise you’ll have to wait very long in the line!! They’ll charge you again if you wanna grab your coat to go outside for smokes and come back too!! This is ridiculous!
PourBoy Event Bartenders: To be honest, I was looking for more house and EDM style of music but this one fit the score for a pleasant night out just the same. Some Ultra hotties around there LOL so if you're looking for something along those lines you'll definitely find it there, I went to the VIP line which cost me 20 bucks to pick up a VIP pickup ticket and then it cost me another 16 bucks to get in the door so just be aware that it's a bit pricey in that respect. 10 bucks for a beer which is standard in Vancouver but close to 20 bucks for a double rum and coke seemed a bit over the top. But that's the price you pay if you want to go clubbing. Overall a good experience though with no fights and some friendly people to boot. I recommend checking it out.
Gabriela Corvalan: Tried to go in but bouncer only would allow if we paid $50 bribe per guy, as he said it was full. We saw over 50 people coming out and it was almost 2am.The manager said we could go in without paying the bribe, but the bouncer would still not let us in.
Mehdi Karamnejad: already put myself and my friend on guest list and then 20 minutes before they open up I get an email that we don’t have balanced ratio and rejected us on the guest list. then we waited for 45 min in the top of the line and never got in. I also saw them pick specific girls to cut the line! and this is the second time I observe the same behaviour here. not coming back here
callum mcneill: Easily the best night club in Vancouver this place has the best music and the bouncers are great people never had a bad time
Jordan Basra: Terrible establishment with high ego bouncers who think they have a special job. You really just have to pay them extra outside to get in. My friends and I got there around 10.30 and an hour later we still couldn’t get in. Not a positive experience visiting out of town. Also, allowing people in without getting padded down or checked is a major red flag as it is a huge safety concern. Please avoid this club for your own well-being
Vitor Porto: I went with a group of girls there. We asked the price when we were waiting in line and waited a long time. However, when we got inside, they made us pay way more than the amount they had told us before. Not the place to go for a safe environment to just drink and enjoy the night without having to worry about that type of sketchy practice. We also found the music awful and hard to listen to if you are not super drunk.
Shaajeevan Thulasi: Terrible experience with the bouncer at this club. To be specific the persian Justin Beiber looking man child. Would not recommend unless you want to be scammed. Hit up granville!
Jessica Keir: no bueno, lied about being open on a sunday:(( was my besties birthday and ended up at a strip clerb instead they’re haters :(((((( big thumbs down, rain didn’t help, we were fed to wolves
daigan white: bouncers are literally the worst things to deal with here take bribes and let in 50 year olds because they know them but then turned everyone down on the guest list because we needed to buy an 850$ table to enter.
Matthew Harris: Worst club experience told our group all lady’s could go in free and the guys had to wait hours and pay 40 bucks each just to get in to a dead club absolute joke of a club
KM: Music was subpar, didnt know any of the songs and I listen to basically all popular rap thats out so thats sorta an issue. Play songs that everyone knows and play danceable music please. I like the lounge vibe and the interior design so it has potential

Fortune Sound Club: what do users think?
Ro The Artist: I had an amazing time here at Fortune Sound Club. The staff was amazing and the reason of being there was an added bonus🙌🏾 thank you to openconcept for a platform and to fortune for a place to have the platform😌🙏🏾
Dory Pentz: It was a good little venue. sound quality was good.Host were polite from the ticket taker to the Bar server! They had complementary water and clean glasses.Bathroom could use some TLC but when you go to a show your not really thinking hmm I think I'll go inspect the facilities. Overall enjoyable. The lighting was 👍
Max Qiang: Best club in town
Vlad S.: Had a lit time here! Sick venue for a concert, and reasonable bar pricing
EJ R: Best spot for music acts from all different styles. If you want to party here's the spot!
Christine Gairns: Love this venue but it's disappointing they never have H2O accessible for their guests. Waiting 45 mins in a bar line for a bottle of water is unacceptable for the amount of people who were there drinking, and does not make it accessible. My friend was so thirsty she considered drinking from the filthy bathroom sink. For a bottle of water, one bartender charged me $4.75, another $5.27, another one didn't charge me at all. Please consider having a separate (free) water station that is actually accessible to your patrons in need.
Liam Buchan: As a club: I didn't have a great time - though I'm not a big club enjoyer. As a concert venue: pretty great.
Haley Justice Anderson: RICO ABSOLUTELY AMAZING he made my birthday very special
Brendan Stolth: one of my favourite smaller venues in vancouver
Barbie Beauty: Bad music, bad drinks. Felt like I was at a middle school dance
Pourshad Sanaie: Hospitality by the staff was amazing. Shalini & Raquel were great at helping me charge my phone and making sure I got home safe. So pleasant. Can’t wait to come back!
Justin Nguyen: This is where the magic happens.
Rishika Aggarwal: Save your money and go literally anywhere else. These people don’t care about their customers, the bouncers here are just glorified statues who don’t want to do their job but rather discriminate and bully people. I don’t know how many times people will need to speak up before their management decides to make a change but save yourself the time you will spend worrying about your safety in a place like this.
Samuel Bongo: From Friday till Monday, Fortune will have you covered. Best club if you like to full send. Highly recommend you go there on a Monday and skip work on Tuesday, it's worth it. Staff and promoters have a great balance of professionality and friendliness. If you ever need anything, just ask Sam at the front--he's got you covered. Left my jacket there one time and Sam was more than happy to grab it for me on his day-off, my wallets and keys still inside!
NihilZero: ridiculous
S P: feeling very bad for attending last night event
Gen Crail: Best club for drinking and such
Cyndy Pham: loved the club/music but some of the staff are so rude. the vibe was ruined before we even got in :(
Angela de Claro: Rude bouncer
a: rude bouncer
Lauren LeBlanc: First time going to Fortune last night. The event was really fun but the door lady was extremely rude and racist towards Latin people/artists. It really started the night out badly. Very unfortunate and a bad look for the establishment. An embarrassment.

2nd Floor Gastown: what do users think?
Vaish Sivajothy: Quaint venue with a view of the steam clock and mountains based on your seating. Scrumptious food and incredible live music under the glow of twinkling lights. The performer of the night “Sean from the Yukon” was mesmerizing.
Diana Sonobe: It was my first time on the 2nd floor. Overall, I like this place. It´s cozy, intimist and the staff friendly, especially Marcela, who had excellent customer service. So, I´d like to share the pros and cons of 2nd Floor Gastown:Food: it´s ok for brunch. They have some good options. I wasn´t hungry, so I ordered a waffle that was a little oily but came with cream and maple syrup; those helped to taste better. Also, I ordered a mocha, which was DELICIOUS. My friend arrived later and ordered a soup that didn´t come with bread, so she ordered a side of toast foccacia. The size was fine, but unfortunately, it was a little burned, and she couldn´t eat. I had a toast before, and it was good; maybe they have to have more attention to ensure that all customers have the same.Customer service: When I arrived, the host immediately took me to the second floor. I didn´t know about the menu, but the waiter (Marcela) helped me choose my coffee (they don´t have a menu for coffee), and she was always attentive to me, other customers and the musicians. I´d say that this was the 5 stars service. My suggestion is that they should have a menu for coffee brunch. It will be helpful to customers to choose by themselves.Ambient: Overall was ok. The place was clean and organized and smelled good.Music: I went to enjoy my friends playing, and I think this is a good idea. Maybe the 2nd floor could do more marketing because I heard from some people that they didn´t know about the Brunch and Music. They host musicians who play several rhythms. Check them out on their website and enjoy them as much as I did. Back that day, we had a pleasure to enjoy our friends @sara_magal, @stevenjcharlesTips: I worked as a waiter before, and I know the tips help to complement the wage, but it will be nice to include the 15% option as well. Some customers want to tip, but sometimes they don´t have enough to tip 18, 20, or 30%.Parking: I highly recommend you don´t use your own car. It´s difficult to park around, and the price will be high if you get a spot. Try car share, public transportation or Cab/Uber.Thank you for reading it, and I hope it is helpful! Enjoy what makes you happy!
Mydhili Furtado: Really amazing service and food.
David Kowel: music was fine, food was awful. overcooked steak, unseasoned veg, childish plating. if you’re going to see a show here, eat somewhere else first.
Chloe Chan: shockingly underwhelmingno idea how is rated so high- maybe i wasn’t drunk enoughgenuinely thought i accidentally ordered off the kids menu, but then the bill came aroundthe most flavourable thing served to us was the sauce dish of three, fire-roasted tomatoes swimming in butternice music though and good server
Nathan D Silva: Went during the dine out dinner menu and everything except the tiramisu was mediocre (the tiramisu was one of my favorites). The starter soup was quite basic and the duck, although cooked to perfection, was underseasoned and didn't taste of much. For the price point, I was definitely expecting more.It also took a really really long time to get served meals and there was no bread or anything small to help during the wait.I may try this place when not during dine out as I think the crowd overwhelmed them and their food/service slacked.
かわしまさら: Went there for lunch Dineout. Poor service, our waiter looked like he didn't want to work there at all. Appies and dessert were decent and big portions. But main dish was disappointing, the duck was super bland. The live music was ok, I guess we didn't get very good musicians on that day. Overall definitely not worth the price point.
Dinorath P Casanova: The GM reached out and we had a good conversation about what had happened. I really appreciate her concerns and hopefully next time we visit will better.--Terrible experience today. Poor and very slow service. Waited over 10 min to be greeted by the server, waited 15min to get our drinks, another 40min to get our main dish which weren't 100% right as the eggs were all overcooked, and waites another 20min to get our dessert and when it was dropped it wasn't even what we had ordered. We only had a bottle of bubbles to share and weren't able to get more drinks as the server was nowhere to been seen. Tried to talk to a manager and didn't seem to care much.Overall it was a very bad experience.
Ken Tsang: Great vibe at this place above Water Street Cafe. The food isn't bad either. I believe they share the same menu, the only difference is the live music on the 2nd Floor
Holly Gibson: Really disappointing. Came for brunch and the mains (eggs and waffles) took over an hour. When they arrived the eggs were all overcooked. Service was very slow too. Additionally there was a live jazz band playing and the microphone was turned up so loud that it created a really unpleasant experience in such a small space. When telling management about the issues they were dismissive. Won’t be coming back.
jennifer salazar: Came here for Dine Out Vancouver and i would definitely recommend! The wait between each meal was pretty long because they were so busy but worth the wait! The waffles were thick and rich and the gnocchi was so flavorful and delicious. For dessert I’d recommend the sorbet over the tiramisu but that was tasty too! Great experience.
Vicki Van der Merwe: The well prepared dishes at 2nd room are completed with the live music from Wildwoodfire. Ingredible band. Loved their music.
Ankesh Dhingra: Terrible service, Mediocre Food. The only redeeming factor was the live music.
Jonathan Schulz: had a great night with Re-Vibe live and good food
Lorena Gonzalez: Nice music and good costumer service 👌 👍
Vanessa Davidson: We went to see Just Prince at the 2nd Floor of the Water St. Cafe. The venue had great acoustics and the food was outstanding! An enjoyable evening!
Laura Beaton: Always love the night entertainment here at 2nd floor water Street cafe. Service is efficient and nice and quick. Food is pricey but big portions so you feel satisfied.
Richard J. Sheehan: Great venue.. food.. staff..
J ason: Same as the water Street Cafe
daniel najera: Great atmosphere and incredible food! Had some good wine while enjoying delightful live music. The pasta is a must try!
Monica Mahser: We had dinner for a friends birthday tonight at the 2nd floor and it was amazing! Staff is super friendly, music was great and our gnocchis were astounding! Highly recommend if you want a beautiful night out in Gastown.

K G: So cozy, so tight; so right.
impsquared: Small and cozy

Francis Tiernan: Beautiful venue, I was there for comedy, definitely going back

Monice: Intimate and great air quality!
EB: On a cold and grim evening a couple years ago, I was invited by a friend (hey Alex!) to go and check out an event at The China Cloud. A bit reluctant and not knowing what it was about, my expectations were non-existent.What was my surprise after climbing up the stairs to find in front of my eyes one of the most utterly exquisite events I’ve had the pleasure to attend – ever. Imagine a Turkish den (sofas, cushions, carpets everywhere) covered with plants (lots and lots of them) while the beautiful music of an harpist (Elisa Thorn) is being played live. Boy, it was splendid…
Harpreet Rose: Nice place but the steep stairs to get up offer a real accessibility challenge
Richard Gilmour: Friendly staff, professional services, party ongoing always
Alan Cooke: Great food
tom donaghy: Meh
Josephine Watson: Cozy and intimate atmosphere, friendly hosts, amazing performances
Craven Obey: Mediocre
Alistair Henning: Great venue for adventurous programming 👍🏻
