Marika Chareka: We'have got installation service today by Aron in our appartment on Quayside Dr. I wanted to say a few words about the fact that Novus is very lucky to have such employees.During our stay here, we had other providers including TELUS, but none of them knew how the wires between the rooms worked and the only thing they could offer was to put a router and a buzzer in the bedroom.To our surprise, Aron not only knew how the wires ran around the apartment, but also helped us install a router and a buzzer in the office room. My happiness knew no bounds, but for him it was a very simple task and he was surprised that no one before him helped to do this.In any case, good for Novus to have such talented and smart engineers. And thank you Aron for making our life more comfortable!

Natalie: It's almost surreal how good, easy, fast, and straight forward Novus is compared with the big companies. I for sure thought there was a catch when i switched, but there isn't. My internet never goes down, it's always fast, it works flawlessly in my 2 floor home with the wifi extenders they put in place (something Telus/Shaw couldn't get right for years). Customer service is quick call away, though the only time I've had to contact them was to update my card. After years of dealing with the heaviness of big companies, contract terms one has to watch so the bill doesn't suddenly double overnight, charges that don't belong,etc., I get immense satisfaction in saying "no thank you" to Telus and Shaw when they call me asking to switch. Even with their special deals and heavy 2 year contract discounts, they can't come close to matching the standard speed and price of Novus.

While it's not the best internet speeds, it's more than enough for my daily needs (work, games, video streaming).I would have given them 4*, but their customer service places them at a full 5*. Super responsive and friendly call centre agents. Our modem broke down last night the technician came and replaced it the very next day. 100% would recommend if Novus is available to you!

We decided not to move forward, and they sent us an invoice for $2500 anyways for preparing the quote. They never came to our office or provided any service. Now they sent out the invoice to collections. Insanely frivolous - avoid this company at all costs!

Mari-Louise Harpe: Don't waste your money. You can get better service at a better price elsewhere. I made a complaint about getting kicked off my internet every night. Every Night. They said there was nothing they could do. I had to just live with it. I did. For over a year. I missed a bill and they called. I questioned why I even stay with them...They then gave me a new box. Finally. No credits to make up for the year and a half of terrible service. And then called to harass me for $6.40. I had misread my bill. Seriously. You can do better than them.

J Aster: Woke up Thursday to flaky internet connection, called for tech support and found out my modem was ancient and they'd be sending me a new one. Very next day had my new modem delivered and I set it up on Saturday. Had to call to trouble shoot the modem set up, got through quickly to tech service and soon had the issue resolved and everything is now back to the robust trouble free fast connection I get with Uniserve. This is why I've been with them since 2001. Thank you so much!

FTech2nd: Where do I begin? Many years ago from the far off year in 2003 AD, my old ISP was bought out by Uniserve. Over the years, they have been reliable. Good technical support and any issues, which were very few by the way, were resolved quickly.Fast forward to early 2020 and now, I am experiencing many disconnects to my DSL line. Called the technical support person and you get the same line, "We will call a technician and look into your issue." Ever since the pandemic happened, I've been getting so many disconnects from the internet it's not even funny! The most consecutive days I've experienced without a single disconnect was around 25 days!I called today (Oct 4th, 2021) the technician to get this random disconnects fixed. It's averaging 15-25 disconnects a day!! All I hear is the same repeating line, like a skipping record player saying, "We will get the technicians to look at it."I just about had it with this company!! Your service is lack lustre, issues don't get resolved, and I'm getting charged extra for a dry loop which is ridiculous from Uniserve! A dry look was supposed to make things easier to fix DSL issues. Paying extra $10 a month for random disconnects? **rolls eyes**After 18 years being with this company, it's time to say goodbye to this once loyal customer! Good riddance!PS: I don't wanna see a "cut & pasted" reply from representative which tells me to phone and they will fix my issue. You guys had a YEAR to fix my issue. How is it going to be any different?!Signed: A fed up customer
Sarah May: I spent a year and a half with Uniserve continuously upgrading to higher download and upload speeds. They charge for the modem and a setup fee when you move. Their customer service hours aren’t great for emergency issues and any service goes through Shaw and isn’t a top priority. Ultimately it’s not worth the reduced cost - you spend more on the extra costs and the mental anguish of constant internet issues.
Shiva Kashi: I was happy with Uniserve until I lost internet connection last week. I called them and they said they would send a technician to look into the issue as soon as they could. They had no idea if “as soon as they could” would be the same day or in a few days or a week from then which was frustrating.I called two days later because I still had no internet. They said they had booked a technician to come to my place five days from the day I first reported the issue without letting me know. That day was today. I specifically stayed home for the technician. The time that he/she was supposed to be here came and went and no one showed up.I called them and they do not know why. The technician would have been sent by Shaw (they use Shaw's cable communication hardware) and they do not have access to Shaw's technician's schedule and cannot contact them to see what happened.Bottom line is that the internet service itself is good and the price can be lower than Shaw and Telus. But god help you if you need technical support and lose connection. You can be left without any internet at all for days or weeks.

Vow Foods: A hidden gem amid services by other tech giants. We've been a customer for over a year and their dedicated internet is such a great value. Customer service is also on-point and always available when we reach out. We feel, they care about us and not just the business. Highly recommended!
RuiZhu Chen: One of the best(if not the only) ISP in lower mainland for those who prefer to set up the home network themselves.Their residential plan is simply straight forward: you pay for the 2 public IP they assign, as well as the using of a multi mode optic-RJ45 media converter, without any bandwidth restriction, throttling or privacy disclosure. They cut the cost by not providing a gateway, however on the other hand you have the liberty of using your own.Support is a small but still very productive: one of the quickest response, and solid networking / telecomm background. You will need a bit of those knowledge should you wish to understand what the issues is.The connection never drops since i became their client. The speed may drop from 920Mbps to 420Mbps. It is totally understandable since your bandwidth isn't dedicated.I dont think any other ISP, other than FiberStream in Ontario, is able to rival offer if you are telling them UrbanComm wired your building.

Baoyi Chen: Unbeatable Service Provider. They have their own physical lines instead of being bandwidth reseller. As for the connection: Latency is good as telus, while having superior speed and stability, one of the few authentic symmetric gibabit FTTH in lower mainland (the other being Novus, service is as good but slightly more costly).To those who simply complain about the speed: the truth is a megabit router can not handle a gigabit connection, this may be the problem bothers you. Buy some router with ACXXXX in model name.

Michael Ferreira: Not sure about these other reviews but I live in Lougheed Village and my 100mbps has been amazing. Always running higher than the 100. I do have my own modem.I would recommend going with the 100 if available in your area. It's very reliable and Gigabit is quite unnecessary unless you really require it but I would say you probably dont.
Dave Wong: I don't think this company has any staff; been leaving several voice messages for about a week to customers service and sales and nobody's called me back yet. This is crazy, I'm just going to sign up with their competitor! Goodbye Urban Fibre!
Will Dsouza: Absolute shocking service. The worst decision my building made by switching over. No customer support . It’s a one man operation . No it actually is a one man operation . I have clocked speeds at 2 Mbps several nights in a row. We have the gigabit connection . They blamed the router supplied as the problem. They switched out the router, no difference. Avoid at all costs. Don’t be tempted by the low cost. I would gladly go back to the 50 Mbps connection we had with Telus.This is a joke of an organization. Do not even think of getting support. Forget about configuring you router you can’t even set your WiFi ID and password
Kooper2080: Best internet in the lower mainland. Same price as Shaw or telus but 10x as fast and they don't try to sell you random garbage all the time. Setup takes seconds (literally) and every time I've talked to a rep they're super nice and very helpful. Also internet has gone down once in two and a half years for me. And only for half hour (due to construction)

Kent Heggart: Wonderful atmosphere and staff members. 1st time there for karaoke. I crooned Elvira...so much fun.
Simon Cleary: Terrible, horrible, awful and miserable hovel and pathetic excuse for a public location. BarTender, super rude, karaoke host ( they do have karaoke 7 nights per week ) also super rude and prefered to sing herself than allow guests to sing, many of the customers doing god knows what kind of things in the washrooms. All in all, a foul place and would never recommend it to anyone!!!!
