K S (Kat): I almost don't want to review this place so it can stay a secret but happy to support them. Thrilled they have re-opened and are offering take out.This is the one of the best sushi places in Vancouver. The fish is incredibly fresh and high quality. Don't expect a lot of quantity here, this is the more traditional Japanese sushi and it's wonderful. The menu features special seafood such as uni and otoro. The Saba is my favourite.If you want to dine in, I recommend a reservation to avoid disappointment. The place is quite small and dining times are 1.5 hours.

It’s small and unassuming, there is Japanese pop playing on the speakers, and there are only a few tables plus a bar. Yuji-san is the only sushi chef, so people who are used to conveyor belt sushi may feel that their orders take time. In honesty, we were not kept waiting long, and each piece was so beautifully seasoned and the fish was so fresh that it was worth the wait. This is sushi for sushi purists. It’s Japanese to it’s core (the fish and rice and seaweed are so fresh and savoury that it’s clear each ingredient is well respected) and it is not gimmicky at all. No special rolls full of tempura bits and sauce, no pizzas, and no birria, cheese, or whatever the latest fad is. If you like simplicity, value freshness, and want to watch a master at work who has pride in his craft serve you delicious, HONEST food, this is the place to go.One diner said “it’s my new favourite sushi place in Vancouver”Another said “this is some of the best sushi of my life.”I say that this is what I’d like to see sushi return to. Nic Berry: Been dining in and ordering takeout from Ki Sushi since 2017 and can easily state that it is one of the best sushi restaurants in the city. The staff provide amazing service, especially those who recognize my family and I as regulars. They go above and beyond and take time to say a quick 'hi' even when they are busy, providing us with such a welcoming atmosphere. Lastly, the food... everything we have ordered and tried has always tasted fresh and delicious.

If you are a slow learner maybe it's for you..But I feel you are better off taking it at a university if you can. Or even learn from youtube. I took a group lesson and I would also rather just pay more for a better lesson.

Giselle Heydari: 5 stars for the Mandarine class0 stars for the Farsi classI took mandarine lessons at this school and it was absolutely awesome. So when I married my husband who didn't speak my mother tongue, Farsi, and was very interested to learn the language, I recommended International house. Unfortunately the teacher he had was absolutely terrible, as in more than half the class quit half way through the session. The teacher was extremely strict and mean, as if he is training navy seals. He was teaching them sophisticated details that you are not supposed to learn until you have the basic things covered, which he did not. In general, my husband started the classes with so much enthusiasm and after 4 months, he was just done. Although my husband was extremely unlucky with his instructor, I hear there is another Farsi teacher there that is apparently amazing.

bryan williams: Wasting time and money for Canadians and permanent residents! TESL, CELTA and TESOL classes are awful with a variety of problems. Some instructors hide their illiteracy behind their snobbish, aggressive behavior. They offer their best services to international students. They merely work for money. They just care abut business more than anything else. Some staffs including administrative and teachers are so rude although you may find few of them cool.
A C: Took a korean class here and had the best learning experience ever! The instructor was very friendly and I was able to pick up the language in just a week. I was very surprised at myself.Highly recommended if you want to take up a new language. Definitely the best language school in vancouver!
Wonderful Ida: International House Vancouver is a great place for International Students to visit to study English, or Vancouver locals to learn a new language. The staff are friendly and informative, and the teachers making learning fun. I would highly recommend studying at IH!
