남Joe: My daughter had 2 trial classes. She didn't have any experiences or learning of Jiu Jitsu before, but she needed to be sparring with a boy who had been learning lot. He chocked her, so my daughter cried. They didn't teach skill to her but make her to sparring with experienced boy. And the boy didn't apologized properly to her.I think this is not professionally built in learning process for beginner.

JP: I would strongly recommend the kids program to any parent who is looking for safe environment for their children to gain benefits of an effective martial art.My kids have been going to this academy for 2 years. The program is taught by a black belt, Walter Buse. The kids have lots of fun and laughs as they learn techniques that work for self defence and competition. They have also had the opportunity to compete in various tournaments where they have won several medals and also several 1st overall kids team titles. The facilities are very well kept and clean. No funky gym smell!!! Having on site showers are a huge plus.I can attribute Alliance Jiujitsu to the noticeable improvement in my children’s confidence and attitude on how they deal with challenges and with people.Cheers!
Sarah Thackray: I moved to Alliance Vancouver from another gym because of it's reputation for being the best jiu jitsu academy in town. It has proved to be that and more. The instruction and techniques are top class and the environment is welcoming and friendly.

This makes for a great environment to learn and achieve your goals.

Artem Zheman: The coaching team here is knowledgeable and passionate. The gym is very welcoming. I highly recommend this gym!
Brian O Connor: I moved to Burnaby last year and joined GF Team because it was close to my place. Very glad I did because it is a fantastic academy with top level instruction and most importantly, a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. In my experience one of the signs of a good school is its diversity of students and here you will find kids & adults of all age ranges, backgrounds and genders on the mats. Rafael and the other coaches are super friendly and encouraging, and they genuinely care about helping you improve. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Tony Barbaro: My son has been coming to GF for about 2 years. It was a long haul at the start as he would tell me every day, he didn't like it and wanted to stop because the others were naturally so much better. Professor Rafael has always given support to the kids and pushed them to get better and overcome their obstacles. It's a warm and inviting environment and recommended for those who want to get their child into martial arts, and specifically jiu jitsu.
Rosewater Mist: Im very happy to have found this bjj academy for my children. Great exercise and my kids love all instructors. Thank you. JJ family

Eric Cheung: Did a drop in for the 2nd time, and it was the first since they moved locations a couple years ago. The new gym is great, with a lot of mat space. Even though it's not my home gym, the whole team welcomed me as if it was, and gave me some great rolls. Highly recommend.
Carlos Sanchez: Great place, great environment and even better professors, everyone there are willing to help and guide you through when you are new.
Owen Grant: Professor Rafa is an amazing instructor and has created a beautiful environment at GFTeam. From kids to adults, beginners to experienced practitioners I would highly recommend this gym.
Yona Atlabachew: My son joining GFTeam, is honestly the best choice we have made as parents. He has been training since November! And I have seen MAJOR changes. In his confidence, independence, social skills, and fitness. He is also much more respectful, disciplined and focused. He spends less time playing video games, even when he is at home he practices moves and works out instead of watching TV!!! I am totally blown away with how much of a positive impact it has on him!!! I am truly GRATEFUL 🙏🏽🙏🏽 to GFTEAM.THANK YOU 🙏🏽
Adam R: Davi and Raphael are great professors. Has an app so you can pick which classes and see how many people are attending, which is great for me as I prefer smaller classes. Everyone is friendly and welcoming.
Vincent Tong: I started training at GFTeam almost 2 months now. Brazilian Jujitsu is my second martial art, and Professor Rafael is excellent. His instruction is clear, friendly, and welcoming. Even without any grappling experience, I am able to learn effectively, and I notice my improvement even after 1 month. My classmates are all nice and helpful people, and the gym is welcoming to everyone from all backgrounds and cultures. The gym is well lit, very organized, and clean. I would definitely recommend GFTeam to anyone considering training in BJJ. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow at GFTeam.
Gonzalo Arratia: Where do we begin...One of our children started Brazilian Jui Jitsu 3 years ago in the little grapplers program. He has since gained an abundance of knowledge and confidence and he is proud of his progress and work!! Since then, our eldest daughter has joined and embraced the gentle art of BJJ, It is a great outlet for her!! Last but not least, my youngest son wanted to try GFTEAM CANADA also, but with his love of Ninjas, he decided that he would try their karate program first, and he loves it. The instructors are Kind, Knowledgeable, Caring and welcoming! As a parent, I enjoy seeing my children be challenged and persevere through it all...a great life lesson we believe! I also notice them happier and smile a lot after their classes as their minds and physical abilities were challenged!! They Also have a 40 years and older BJJ class, so I guess that means I'm next...Can't wait!!
Roy Chan: Great gym. Great people. They care about your progress and training smarter with minimal injuries. You learn something new everyday from 3 black belts and 2 brown belt instructors. They try to maximize the days of the week to include as many classes for you to take part in.Can't comment on the child care service, but seems like they have a very good program.
Ignazio Ippolito: It's best place where you can bring your kids for a healthy and very good physics activities, as well a professional way to learn a fantastic martial arts as Brazilian Jiu-jitsu; Karate; kick Boxing. All the instructors are very professionals and friendly. Lessons are for kids; adults and Family program. They teach everyone in a funny and professional way, offering also many services, such as pickup the kids from the school and much more. My son is very happy to attend the class every day. Lovely place

jak fil: After doing a fair amount of research and head-scratching, I chose Budo school as my introduction to jiu-jitsu and I definitely made the right choice. All of the instructors and members are top-notch and very personable guys and girls.I highly recommend Budo as a starting point for anyone considering embarking on the jiu-jitsu journey.Jake F
Wyatt Foster: Awesome environment to learn jiu jitsu. Very welcoming and great instructors!
Joel F.: Absolutely fantastic place. My son has been going there and it has transformed him. They are so supportive and helpful. Scott in particular. It is such an amazing place for someone to build confidence. I highly recommend it for everyone.
Tracy Spring: My son started here after a traumatic event and has gained confidence and skills in a short amount of time. Scott has been an amazing teacher and support and we are very grateful to him and the other staff.
Shion Gin: A gem of a gym - amazing gym culture that fosters a friendly, and welcoming environment along with a great team of people. Scott Boudreau is a top class instructor who also actively competes internationally and have multiple golds under his belt. I especially enjoy his open-minded, creative and practical approach to teaching, as I find that quite uncommon in most bjj gyms. This is a great place to start your bjj journey, pick up where you left of, or if you want to compete at a higher level. Budo is a rare find for sure. Highly recommend!
Boris Kolev: I've started my BJJ journey at Budo nearly 2.5 years ago. The environment is extremely friendly and open. It's a great place for beginners as well as high level competitors. The main coach Scott is a world class competitor himself and continues to crush it year after year 💪. Highly recommend this place! OSS

Aaron Peat: I've been training at Budo for a few months now. Budo has given me an opportunity to explore martial arts in a fun environment. It has improved my physical fitness, and increased my confidence when dealing with difficult people on the street. The students and instructors are friendly, and make you feel included during training. You will be exposed to live rolling here, where you test your skills against others, but the atmosphere at the school makes it safe for less fit hobbyists and challenging for serious competitors.
O Ruppel: After trying several other BJJ schools I am grateful to have found Budo. The instructors are excellent; they break complex moves down into manageable steps so us beginners can understand. They are also attentive, answering questions and watching us practice to ensure we are doing the techniques properly. On top of the excellent instructors, the whole Budo team is extremely welcoming. I feel lucky to have found a place where I am this excited to attend each class.
AJ B: Real amazing place to learn jiu Jitsu in a safe environment. Good instructor(s) that take a pragmatic and methodical approach. Training partners that are all trying to improve, and help each other improve in a safe and controlled way.
mind kontrol: Awesome team to train with here! Whether you're sharpening your skills or just beginning your journey into the gentle art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Budo offers a fun and competitive atmosphere to train in, and an individualized focus to help you find your game! The new location is great, if you haven't checked it out, you really should!
Sami Ghali: My 8 years old daughter has been training at Budo Jiu-Jitsu Team for over a year. Classes are given by the master itself Scott Boudreau and are very well thought and taught. L. is getting better, stronger, more technical every month. It is a great feeling to see these kids evolve together lead by such a great master.
Scott Donnelly: Budo Jiujitsu Team offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Not only do you get world class champion level training, Scott the head coach also understands everyone’s journey is different and respects the process individuals wish to choose. I will always choose Budo when in Vancouver.
Coby Derban: Great place, great coach, great vibe. Būdo is, somehow, easygoing enough to be enjoyable while intense enough to be meaningful. A solid gym and a stellar place to bring your BJJ questions. Highly recommended.
Manuela Vieira: BUDō is a fresh and well-maintained space with clean, simple aesthetics where you can focus on training on the mats without visual clutter. It is a beautiful gym, but more importantly, it is a welcoming environment with friendly and encouraging students. The instructors are professional, respectful and supportive of your lifelong learning in the art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu. BUDō Jiu-Jitsu Team is definitely worth a visit! Once you try out a class, you will be hooked!
