Vanessa Watts: Really neat little gallery totally work it if you like art work!
Jillian Robertson: An excellent experience.I learned more about how skilled Bill Reid was and his influence on young Indigenous people.
Stephen Rees: Even though they say they are not quite finished setting up the exhibits there is a lot to see. This was our first visit but I have a feeling we may well return. Reid was an amazing talent. I was amazed by one of his earliest works: a miniature tea set made from a stick of chalk and nail varnish. When I go to stay with people in other places I buy a Bill Reid framed image as a hostess gift. I also have some at home now. I wish I had been given one of the $20 bills when they came out but I suspect they all went to collectors. There are also works by other FN artists and of course visiting exhibitions. When you are in Vancouver this has to be on your list of places to visit. The staff are charming.
Foxx Cant: One of my favorite galleries in Vancouver, there is always a thoughtful exhibit by contemporary Indigenous artists. Also boasts a fantastic gift shop and a drawing area for children in the upstairs alcove.
Alyssa Davis: Very emotional. Ladies were super nice. The gift shop carries beads which are hard to find. Not bad pricing on the jewelry. Rings are 200$+ beads are around 100. The finer stuff goes up higher tho.
Sunset City Mushrooms Ltd.: Super amazing art, was a trip for sure 😊
Dave K: I learned quite a bit and while seeing some interesting art pieces. I enjoyed learning about traditional art as well as seeing more contemporary pieces with traditional influence. Would highly recommend!
Bruce Murdoch: Very interesting and beautiful art.
Robert Oney: For the Bill Reid works, absolutely take the time to work through the smaller pieces that are on display - though all of his pieces are equally worth your time!
Mike Pitura: Great educational experience
Jane Harrison: Wonderful exhibition of Bill Reid's work alongside his peers and more contemporary Indigenous art. Thoroughly recommend checking it out.
Leandro Bezerra (Suspiro): The art gallery is very nice! You get to know Bill Reid various artworks and the fact that the museum is not too big, you have time in one visit to read and understand about historical facts and all the intricate details of every art and its contexts.Highly recommended!
Robin Todd: Interesting displays
Bia Sales: It was fantastic to learn more about the Haida people and take a look at the exquisite artworks by many different artists ❤️
Andreas Pilich: Wonderful gallery. Man was a genius in my opinion.Nice atmosphere. Small though.
Byron Pelly: Nice place to check out First Nations art. As a First Nations person I don’t feel uncomfortable or unwelcome coming here. It’s nice to know how a normal person is supposed to feel in this country.
Paul Sasges: Wonderful exhibit. Go enjoy 😉
Katy Bee: A powerful experience, and well worth the visit. There are free hours on some Fridays between 2-5pm! The gift shop is very much worth a look as they have many beautiful things made by local Indigenous artists.
Brianna McNall: Stopped by on a whim as we headed for the Vancouver Art Gallery and absolutely fell in love. This is an amazing space with a thoughtfully curated collection. Such a wonderful celebration of first peoples art and culture. Definitely worth a stop for art lovers and educators - the lovely folks at the gallery provide some great educational resources both in-person and online.

Vancouver Art Gallery: what do users think?
Julie Erin: I was rather a little shocked by the entrance price. Typically, an adult pays over $30 to spend a day here. The first Friday of every month is free, but the line is ridiculously long (literally snakes around the entire block), so thought it would be better to pay the full price for one afternoon. The only redeeming qualities would be the building itself and the giftshop.First floor had an exhibit of Canadian artist, Boyle, which I personally find many of her pieces to be rather on the creepy side, yet to each their own. The adjacent rooms had more modern art (basically paintings of lines and blobs). Again, not my thing, yet I was hoping that there'd be some classic art on the other levels. The next level (the only one that was opened) had a lookout to observe some fashion design students assembling outfits while the showrooms featured the biography of an Indigenous woman, which contained mostly of children's drawings in crayon...and newspaper clippings along with letters of correspondence! How is that art?! That exhibit was rather interesting but belonged in a community centre to promote public awareness rather than an "art" gallery.I've also read a few of the other Google reviews, and it seems that most of the levels have been closed forever because of renovations. I find that to be rather bogus. While I strongly support temporary exhibitions since it's nice to shake things up, there should be some permanent ones as well. Since Vancouver seems to be a rather modern city, perhaps some avant-garde classic pieces: Girl with a Pearl Earring, The Kiss, Magritte, Picasso, The Scream, Van Gogh...Basically, it was such a disappointing experience. Was done within an hour, and that included a pee break along with checking out a few of the showrooms twice to see if anything had been missed.
Ricardo Augusto Moraes Ferreira: Visit on the first Friday of the month, and free admittance. Should get the tickets online to avoid linesVisited on Weekday Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Yes …More
Mario Hernández: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended NoMore
Rosa Yuan: I too loved the exterior architecture but what's inside definitely isn't much new or exciting. Compared to other art museums (MoMA or SF MoMa, Chicago Art Institute). I hope they can introduce more art works, exhibitions and events.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …More

Elena Byzova: Beautiful building, currently only small contemporary art exhibition, but very whimsical, deep dark and moving. Thank you for my special experience!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More

Manisha S: The Vancouver art gallery was a very strange place with a lot of strange "art". The exhibits at the time were nothing exceptional... Some geometric art just made in large canvas, which any of can do. Then another strange and creepy exhibit including sculptures of a headless person... Nothing inspiring or thought provoking or beautiful.. felt like a waste of my time and money. The tour guide was good and informative.. but then again the topic was very boring.
Behdad Best: This is supposed to be the prime artistic center for Vacouver yet totally disappointing. I'd say just close it, always good not to do things rather than doing it this way.
luke morrison: It's not totally bogus man..... says ted
Shatakshi Saxena: Only floors 1 and 3 are open. They are currently doing some construction. Overall, it is an OK museum but not worth it. The entrance is overpriced at $30/adult, especially when part of the museum is closed due to construction.I enjoyed the indigenous representation on the third floor, but I think they could have better conveyed the information. For instance, they could have provided summaries at every decade. Instead, it felt like all the information was just jumbled. The "art" on the first floor was not worth paying for. A lot of the "art" was just basic lines. There were some paintings and sculptures that were cool!
sekureh: No idea why they're selling tickets, maybe for charity🙄Nothing worth seeing.
Cristiano Nogueira: CAD 29 per person for a 30 minute`s worth of art. the 1st floor had Shary Boyle, excellent stuff albeit just a dozen works, but the other 5 wings had nothing worth while: 2 were under setup for a future exhibit. 1 had very bad op-art (like the left-overs of another real art museum) and the 3rd floor had 2 wings on with newspaper cutouts and old-timey interviews with lord knows who. ticket staff wouldnt give a partial refund, claiming I should have known the 2nd floor would be closed. I was expecting a whole afternoon experience and was done after 40mins. 10mins were spent trying to find the exit on the 3rd floor! IMHO a just price for this very short experience should be no more than CAD 9.
Ben S: Smaller than most, but great exhibits and staff.
Emily Fa.: Lots of events
Jooey V: I have travelled lots of countries, and visited lots of galleries.Don’t know about other exhibitions, but the first free Friday was not bad.Not too difficult, and well managed among tons of people.

Sams Original Art: what do users think?
Lynda Campbell: Our choice of art for our home was “Adams Lake” as it is nearby! With its vibrant color and beautiful image, it far exceeded my expectations! Looking for another spot in our home for another beautiful piece of Sam’s art!
Debbie McMullen: Very easy and trustworthy site to use. Picture arrived without issues very quickly and ready to hang. For a lover of British Columbia Sam captures the essence of so much of our unique and picturesque areas. We moved to the Island and when I saw his picture of English Bay it evoked wonderful memories and I felt it was a perfect picture for our new home. Get lots of compliments and love it every time I look at it.
Arden Krystal: I love the large print I ordered of the Squamish chief…living in Toronto now but having grown up in bc - helps me see home everyday!
Frances Greene: Out of necessity rather than want, my husband and I were tasked with renovating a walk-through TV room in our home. Once the floor was put in and walls painted, I pondered what to put on the walls. I was thrilled when Sam’s Original Art popped up in my Facebook feed. I ended up purchasing 3 of his prints in various sizes and that room has now become my favorite in the entire house. His surrealistic technique and use of color and light is utterly captivating and makes the room absolutely pop. His stunning creations command instant attention and have garnered numerous awestruck compliments from friends and family. Thank you Sam for creating such breathtaking artwork!! We know we will enjoy it for years to come.
Clint callison: Purchased 4 prints for my new office space and love them they really make the space:) and so wonderful you can pick the size. Love Sam's art!!
Michael Korenberg: I purchase two very large prints of Sam’s Lion’s Gate Bridge painting. The quality of the prints and framing is excellent, and the artwork itself is terrific. Thanks so much!
Kelley Hicks: Love, love, love Sams art!! Just received one of his prints. He is very easy to communicate with and answers questions promptly. Print is gorgeous 💕
Mike Kjemtrup: My wife & I talked about finding some actual & true "Artwork" for our home. She had found Sam's website and passed it along to me. We both went through the galleries finding a piece that we liked. With my wife's birthday approaching, I sort of took it upon myself to make a choice to surprise her. It was a tough choice as they all looked great. It turned out that, for whatever reason, I chose a 24x24 print of Succulent Forest. When the package arrived and we took the print out of the very adequate care taken to assure a safe journey, and we both marveled how actually seeing it & holding it made it look even better than it looked on a computer screen.Next was to find a proper place to hang it in our living room. That being done, we have received raves from everyone who has seen it.We could not be happier with the steps & choice we made to enter the realm of "Art Collectors". We will keep returning to the site and will not rule out any future purchase(s).Thank you Sam and your staff for all around great work & the care you take.Mike KjemtrupVegreville, AB
Jeremy Cummings: Great experience with Sam. I’d been looking for a Canadian Prairie piece as a gift for my wife for a number of months before stumbling across Sam’s site and finding Prairie Nights. Ordering was simple, Sam’s follow up was amazing and the piece was delivered ahead of schedule and carefully packaged. My wife is thrilled. I will order more pieces from Sam and am waiting to find/get that perfect photo to commission a piece from him.
Dayna Egyed: Sam’s painting was more beautiful than I expected. The customer service was fantastic, shipped and packaged, notified details along the way. I will definitely be ordering more paintings.
Natasha Gukova: When Instagram showed me Sam´s original art for the first time, I was stunned: it is so unique, original and so …Canadian. I followed the account, enjoyed the beautiful art. I knew that one day it will decorate my house. It was really tough choice to buy, because I have so many favorites. When I’ve entered into Sam’s gallery, I expected the art will look better in real, but it was far beyond expectation. Bob was very patient helping me to complete my order. Now, I’m very happy owner of ‘Storm Island’. Far island, mystery clouds, delicate water, beautiful colors. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy it. Thank you, Sam, for your choice of painting our Beautiful British Columbia scenic views. Ten Stars!
J. D.: Love my pictures, it was so great dealing with everyone involved with the purchase. I am so happy that I ordered a 3rd picture and can't wait till it arrives
Robyn Shead: Very friendly, helpful and efficient. No pressure to purchase. Everything went as described by seller and we are delighted with the picture. Thanks Sam
Green Room: I not only love my art work but I loved how quickly Sam answered all my questions and helped me pick the right size print for my space. It is as beautiful in person as it was online and I highly recommend buying from Sam!
Cheryl Bateman: I am so pleased with the piece I purchased. I look forward to the next!
Rhys Webb: So happy with the print we bought! Thanks again
Herbert Bezdeck: I have spent many hours following your gallery ...old and new , just looking for the picture that really spoke to me. After three years I felt that I must make a decision because I loved your style. I had the perfect spot in my new home but still I hesitated. I grew up in the lower mainland I was familiar with all your places of interest but it was still not enough. Just as I felt I must make a decision then you came out with ADAMS LAKE! It was the one I didn't know I was waiting for. I knew where it was. I had spent 60 years camping in the area, swimming to the Island visiting the area three to four times a year.THANK YOU , SAM!from Eileen
Bev Poleschuk: We purchased “Thompson River” from Sam and absolutely love it!! The quality of work is excellent and we have received many compliments from our friends. The purchase process was painless, the package arrived quickly and was packed so no damage could occur. Thanks Sam! Looking forward to our next piece!
Mike Craggs: Great work, comes ready to hang, love the frameless border, all his art is inspiring
Cheryl: We are “over the moon” excited with our new art!I literally cried when I opened “Succulent Forest” 🙌🏻 it is absolutely stunning! 💚I have followed Sam for so long and always knew his art would be the focal point on our walls. This is NOT our last purchase! The problem is deciding which one is next…… we need more walls!Thank you Sam for sharing your gift🎨🙏Cheers! Cheryl
Marilynne Black: I am so pleased with the picture I bought. If I had more walls I would buy more pictures!

Contemporary Art Gallery: what do users think?
Andrea Terron: Great instalation!!
jennifer chen: Great space. Love Christine’s work seen here. Glad to catch it. She does prints too, she’s worked with El Nopal Press in Los Angeles.
Letícia Cristina: muito pequena galeria
Ilya Waisman: Very small place with a couple of tiny exhibitions, not very exciting to me.
Thanchanok Tangpinyo: Everyone is welcome to see the exhibitions free of charge. The space is nice and well informed. When I was there I got to learned about how deaf people are living within our society. It was an interesting topic I never thought about. If you are interested in art, definitely check this place out. There is a public parking close by too.
Sean Lee: 空間不大,有些有趣的小型藝術展覽,大概15分鐘可以逛完
Jin Huang: If I can give a 0 star, I would. There are only two rooms open. One room with a single display of a mudded hay lion, the other room with a fridge that has 4 bushes of flowers (apparently) bought from a nearby flower shop. There were a few groups of visitors who came in and were quickly confused if they had come to the right place. Someone stood in front of the receptionist/cashier/concierge, deliberately facing her to try to get her attention. But she's comparably deliberate, intentionally fixated her eyes to the computer screen to avoid a question. The pictures here on Google Maps are not the reflection of this place anymore. Those I believe are before the pandemic. Now the business that gets to this situation might be directly damaged by the pandemic. Contemporary art is a hard and fluent business. I hope this business can get itself up from the damage soon to live up to the name again.
Jessica Z: Not much to see, take 5 minutes to complete.
Samoa Woolsy: Very small but cute (free admission?)
Prince Z’s Shorts: There was hardly any art and what was there looked extremely basic and had no depth. The “art” was scotch taped to the wall. Yes art is subjective but it should also at least be interesting.
Mark Emery: interesting art and really welcoming staff, who encouraged conversation and answered questions with enthusiasm.
Rukchanita Olivia Wajitdouol: Alway have attractive Art and interesting event
Tony McDougall: Awesome as always!
Shashrvacai Cai: Small considering it’s a contemporary art gallery.. but works since it is in the centre of the city.
Jihan Carrasquero Uzcategui: Small gallery, not many thinga to see. Interesting nevertheless.
F: I hope they could have a bigger space in the future, always a great spot to go when you want to see some art.
Gerald Joe: Interesting exhibits. Sponsors exhibits at other locations eg transit busses
Jamie Learning: This tiny art gallery offers cutting edge exhibitions that will make you think and get ya right in the feels.
Kuang-Jui Hsu: nice and free
Melike: Good spot for art work that doesn’t sacrifice meaning for the sake of creativity. Plus some lovely people who are willing to have a nice conversation.
Janice Chau: It was much smaller than I expected, but admission is free/by donation. I enjoyed going through the exhibits. It's a quick cultural stop among shopping/eats nearby on Granville - It would probably take 20 min to go through everything.

Vancouver Fine Art Gallery: what do users think?
Alexander G. Tsakumis: The single best selection. Warhol, Picasso, local artists, you name it. An escape to walk though. Dror, the owner, is a friend. Superb art curator. A must visit for art enthusiasts. L' chaim, my brother.
James Faulkner: Great art dealer, very easy to deal with. Made it happen effortlessly to deliver painting's to the other side of the globe. Very happy with the product. Highly recommended.
Janice McLean: Art for every collection level, taste, decor,,,, Beautiful
Greg Marchant: I highly recommend visiting the Vancouver Fine Art Gallery! A stunning collection. Janice McLean was my favourite local artist featuring beautiful Italian sceneries and a striking figurative piece. The gallery also exhibits some original pieces of Frida Kahlo which was a wonderful surprise as well as an original photograph of Marilyn Monroe! Dror the gallery owner was so inviting and knowledgable about the pieces. Truly a great experience!
A_MY Wang: Owner and staff are amazingly nice, helpful, down to earth and super fun to talk to. Wonderful arts collection! Anywhere from contemporary to traditional. Worth checking out if you are in the area!
陳希華Eunice: Great place to shop! Wonderful art collection! Will come back to purchase again!
Yumi Yamagami: They have very interesting arts and they are such a wonderful people. I am so happy that I went in.
Marina Shpak: Amazing gallery with a fantastic selection of artworks and very friendly staff.
Guanli Zhou: I came here recently and felt in love with this place. It is so beautiful. It has the most inspiring artworks and I like that it houses many great works from Old Master. I highly recommend coming here for a visit.

Ukama Gallery: what do users think?
diana cotter: I bought a beautiful large painting and needed it shipping to Australia. The owner and staff were wonderful, they packed it up really securely and I was able to take as extra luggage on the plane for $80 saving heaps not having to freight it.The gallery is amazing and owner could not be more helpful . Highly recommended!
Greg Flurry: The gallery is a pure delight to visit, and the staff is knowledgable and helpful. We wanted several pieces in the gallery! We purchased a stone sculpture by Maganiso Vissensio from Zimbabwe. Unfortunately, a small piece from the sculpture was lost somewhere between leaving the gallery and placement in our home; we acknowledged that this could have been our error. The gallery worked with us and the artist to provide a replacement from the same material as the original piece. The sculpture is restored to its original glory! Many, many thanks to Ukama Gallery!
Heidi Gherman: Lovely space, friendly staff and you will certainly find some great art here!If you are anywhere near, or going to Granville Island, weather it is to buy art, or browse around, Ukama should be on your list as a must go.Refreshing and wide variety.
Camellia Chen: You'll definitely enjoy this gallery when you visit Granville Island. All the artworks have their own strong features.
Alanna de la Vega: Found this gallery/exhibition while wandering around Grandville Island. Gave me a whole new appreciation for sculpture.
Yifat Machanai: Beautiful picks of Zimbabwe sculptures. Very recommended for a visit. Inspiring!
mirongosh j: A must go place if you are an art enthussiast. Fine collection of arts.
Octavio Rodriguez: Ukama Gallery, at the very entrance to Granville Island, should be considered a destination within that tourist attraction. With a very interesting mix of BC, Canadian and international artists, this gallery includes sculptures, paintings, and jewellery, for dicerning tastes. To make it even more relevant, the curator is constantly rotating it's exhibits, so there is always a reason to stop by. Price range is quite reasonable for the art here! Definitely worth a stop next time you come by to Granville Island.
MARCIA PRATES: Ok
Richard Loat: A beautiful gallery that does a fantastic job of balancing the sculptures and the paintings. Incredible curation that blends international and Canadian artists. Stop by!
Yikyung Yoon: Worth to visit
wls wls: Interesting collection every season.
