Sach: If you like Latin music then go to the Red Room on Fridays for Cancun Night. Always a really great time! VLF staff are fantastic. I would know...been going for over 10 years! Jasmyn Hart: Avoid delivery if you can! Food tastes pretty good, but portions are small, and the delivery packaging is awful! I received a thin layer for the Queso Fundido (melted cheese) in a bunch of tin foil, with a lot of the cheese sticking to the foil.
Paul Friesen: Great service and fun and interesting cocktails .we had the Alambre and Churros. Both great.
Krystal Gnome: Food was somewhat pricey but it was delicious. The tables are tiny so only one dish at a time is served. Finally, note that the menu has been modified to sharable plates only.

Amazing food (that queso!!), and the nicest, friendliest team.Not sure who the true genius was behind the magic, but we could not have had the perfect evening without either of the two guys there who ran the show!Latin food isn’t just tacos and burritos. If you’re looking for tastes that celebrates and collaborates Latin American food/drinks, then def check them out! Sep J: Great food and great service! Easy to find free parking around the area. They bake their own breads and tortillas, the sauces are all house made and extremely unique. Wooden warm interior decoration and very clean atmosphere (you will feel safe during Covid 19). Food taste is great however don't expect very big food portions though.

Catherine Evashuk: 5 stars. As you walk in, you can feel the cool vibe. I'm really picky when it comes to lighting and music in a restaurant and for Zocalo Modern Cantina it was definitely 5 starts for both (not too dim, not too bright, not too loud but loud enough so we could hear the modern Latin music)The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and patient (our table of 6 couldn't decide what to order!) We decided to order 6 different dishes. The ceviche was a big hit, as was the queso fundido was amazing. The lengua and the trompo were devoured. Two people said that the alambre was one of the best dishes they had ever eaten. We also ordered drinks from an extensive menu. I loved that each drink had a description and ingredients. When I finally narrowed my choices down to 2, the staff patiently explain the difference. I was delighted with my Oaxacan Old Fashioned . Dessert? Oh, we just ordered one of each! The carlota was especially good. So, I will for sure go back soon to order the other dishes that we didn't order the first time (plus some of our favourites). I highly recommend going to Zocalo Modern Cantina

Garnik Giloyan: In 2022, I attended Roger's party at Science World. I met a women there who convinced me to take lessons with Roger at Granville 927. I was initially skeptical but started in September 2022 and fell in love with the atmosphere and Roger's teaching style. In the beginning I was terrible with basics however Roger's team member helped me with the basics steps. Salsa and Bachata quickly became a part of my life, and I never missed any social or duello party. I highly recommend joining Roger's classes in Vancouver; he is a fantastic teacher, and his team is always willing to help. When I return to Vancouver, I will definitely rejoin his classes. Ash Taba: I took all the three beginner courses. The instructor has no sense of respect, I regret going to his classes and events.There are much better dance studios in Downtown Vancouver with professional instructors. Don’t waste your time and money just for a few bucks cheaper classes.
Chad Neufeld: Signed up for 6 sessions and only attended 2. The "beginner" Salsa instruction was extremely fast paced, the instructor covered one movement for about a minute or two, then we were to implement said movement to music for a few minutes with multiple partners, then it was on to the next movement, regardless if you had grasped the concept. They have a class size of about 60+participants and 1 instructor (2 if you count the instructors partner) which leaves no time for individual help. They pump classes in and out in under an hour, and make their profit from the sheer volume and very imbalanced instructor to student ratio. Furthermore the instructor would single people out who were struggling and insult them or poke fun at them(thinking his rudeness was comedic perhaps?). I was thoroughly disappointed by this experience, as I came to learn and have fun but the environment was not optimally conducive to either.

Greg Dombowsky: Great dance studio. Roger is a great instructor and his classes are always fun and informative. Monday is Salsa night and Thursday is Bachata night. the music is always great too.
N. PComplete: Less a review of the instruction so much as the community. I can't speak to the male population but I had the pleasure of dancing with a dozen ladies who are very accomplished and the atmosphere seemed very friendly.If I had to nit pick the instruction I'd say there could be more watch and think rather than just follow along. That said, the real measure of any instructor is the community they build and on that they seem to have succeeded.

mydogdeli: Roger’s classes are great! He explains and demonstrates clearly with skilled partners. Between demos, even though he has lots of participants, he and his partner are willing to step in and give personal help to the students. Highly recommended.
Sameer Shah: A friend recommended that I try roger’s open house event: something that he hosts for free in every 6 weeks for people to try out his classes. - and there has been no turning back ever since! Not only does he have immense experience and knowledge in both salsa and bachata, but his way of teaching and delivering the classes is something that one should not miss! He just so happens to also organize some of the best known dancing events in all of British columbia. Been learning under roger’s excellence since February 2022, and highly recommend taking his class or a social! Time flies by fast when you’re dancing, it has all been worth it though.
Omar Serry: The best dance socials/events in town. Duello and all socials organized by Roger are great dance socials you will always want to go to. Roger, Raquel and Negar are all great instructors to learn from. Personally speaking, they are great friends too :)
Ju VSE: Be aware in advance if you're a man/boy or otherwise identify as male. The event host Roger charges men 12 bucks to enter his dance parties, whereas he only charges women 8 bucks, because put bluntly, he's a simp. Only beta boys need to use such discriminatory tactics to bait females into joining their events. How far we've come with gender equality in 2022!
Ramin Ziko: I've been going to studio for a while and Roger has helped me to get better at dancing. He run top class events in town and helps beginners or advanced to get to next level. Thanks for all good work Roger

And since Roger offers free open houses for both salsa and bachata you've got nothing to lose!I started at an open house for bachata in August 2021 and was hooked after my very first day! I enrolled in salsa and bachata and dancing took over my life. I love the community and the nights out beat any other events in Vancouver.As for the classes, they are fun and a great way to meet people. Roger teaches you moves you can use on the dance floor. The best way to practice is to attend his socials, usually on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Duello is my most favourite of all!Thank you Roger for introducing me to the beautiful world of latin dancing! 💃🏽

Nayna Shetty: I've been attending the beginner lessons with Roger since summer last year and I've had a terrific experience so far. Roger introduces new moves in every lesson and explains them in a humorous/easy to understand way. I also highly recommend his social events as they're a great practice platform for beginners and offer ample opportunities to connect with like minded people from the Latin dancing community in Vancouver.

More recently, there have been newer girls who are working who are nothing but rude and disrespectful to me and my friends. Will not be returning if the new girls are still working. Unacceptable.

L R: Less then one star. A girl is the neice of one of the bouncers. She told him I wanted to fight when I saw her in someone's face and told them to chill basically. Her uncle bouncer came to me and ask what my issue was I said I didn't have an issue I thought she was starting something so I tried to put my arm between it and say not the place or time. He (the bouncer) came at me so aggressively I started to cry and it ruined my night. Don't go there and have fun or be a good person. Gezus 😮💨😮💨😮💨

Banafshe: Rude, aggressive BOUNCERS!! They let girls go in immediately but make guys wait in the line!! They just want you to pay extra otherwise you’ll have to wait very long in the line!! They’ll charge you again if you wanna grab your coat to go outside for smokes and come back too!! This is ridiculous!
PourBoy Event Bartenders: To be honest, I was looking for more house and EDM style of music but this one fit the score for a pleasant night out just the same. Some Ultra hotties around there LOL so if you're looking for something along those lines you'll definitely find it there, I went to the VIP line which cost me 20 bucks to pick up a VIP pickup ticket and then it cost me another 16 bucks to get in the door so just be aware that it's a bit pricey in that respect. 10 bucks for a beer which is standard in Vancouver but close to 20 bucks for a double rum and coke seemed a bit over the top. But that's the price you pay if you want to go clubbing. Overall a good experience though with no fights and some friendly people to boot. I recommend checking it out.
Gabriela Corvalan: Tried to go in but bouncer only would allow if we paid $50 bribe per guy, as he said it was full. We saw over 50 people coming out and it was almost 2am.The manager said we could go in without paying the bribe, but the bouncer would still not let us in.

I also saw them pick specific girls to cut the line! and this is the second time I observe the same behaviour here. not coming back here

Jordan Basra: Terrible establishment with high ego bouncers who think they have a special job. You really just have to pay them extra outside to get in. My friends and I got there around 10.30 and an hour later we still couldn’t get in. Not a positive experience visiting out of town. Also, allowing people in without getting padded down or checked is a major red flag as it is a huge safety concern. Please avoid this club for your own well-being
Vitor Porto: I went with a group of girls there. We asked the price when we were waiting in line and waited a long time. However, when we got inside, they made us pay way more than the amount they had told us before. Not the place to go for a safe environment to just drink and enjoy the night without having to worry about that type of sketchy practice. We also found the music awful and hard to listen to if you are not super drunk.

brian: waited a long time for someone to take my order. it seemed it was more important for the staff to come together as a team to have an evening shot of tequila or whatever they were drinking to keep the team together before serving customers. it was quite upsetting because i waited at least 15 minutes after i was seated before anyone came back to check if i wanted to order anything.if it's expected that a single diner is not worth serving for a diminished gratuity they passed on me who worked in restaurants that loves to tip big on good service.assume nothing.the food was the only saving grace. mahi mahi ceviche and tajin chicken wings with chipotle crema.overall a nice meal that could be improved by better service.say hi to liz for me. she either was avoiding me or didn't recognize me. it's been over 12 years since wazubeez so it's understandable.

We ended up ordering the Huevos Rancheros. It's was just ok...maybe cuz I was spoiled with having an authentic huevos rancheros in Mexico recently 😉Service was good though.I'll be back again one day to give the Chorillana Chilena a try. I just hoped that their food could live up to the quality of their bar!The creamy guac is an uncontested winner, fresh smashed, rich, with a bit of spicy tang that adds some zing. However, the ceviche is a tad oversalted and the cod taco doesn't stand out too much. I would come back as I think I just didn't pick items that really showcased the chef's abilities.Given the lively atmosphere and very friendly staff, the place is worth a second look!

Katia: I went to El Camino’s for weekend brunch two weekends in a row! The food is really tasty, especially the corn bread with the burnt onion butter on the side. They have few vegetarian options including tortilla soup, veggie taco, but I was happy with just the cornbread.

Sink Pisser: This is definitely one of the most ideal basins to urinate in. It is a fantastic height, with excellent depth, and the faucet is easily accessible for a birdbath. The poster provides wonderful reading material while you go about your business.

People came here to have a good time and not just to hook up. loved that all ages were here so it's not only those in the 20s enjoying themselves.I want to give extra shout out to the admin staff. My wallet went missing and I've called them 3 times to check, once first thing in the day, 2nd time later when cleaners were done and 3rd the next day. I also emailed them. They were so friendly and gracious and I felt they tried to help (it's by phone but felt they were looking). Some lost and found treat you like you are an inconvenience but not the staff here. So kudos to you. You made a good impression to me, even though my wallet is still MIA.
Justin Morgan: Usually good but the last time I went was terrible, we waited an hour to get in and then all wanted to leave because it was so crowded inside everyone was constantly being aggressively shoved and groped. You couldn’t move at all or even dance without people almost knocking you over. I don’t get what the point is in making people wait an hour to get in if you’re still gonna let the club overfill like that. I’m used to crowded bars but this was the worst I’ve seen.

Mr Chatman: What a time I had here. The staff were friendly and efficient. The house and was freakin awesome. The DJ in between live sets had the place jumping. Absolutely will be going back there again and again. Go there for a time...do it, do it, do it. 🤩

Felt a bit hurt when the girl on the door looked and spoke down to me when she asked what I wanted, like I was a nuisance drunk person, but in fact I was sober waiting my turn for the cloakroom. There’s really no need for the rude looks and tone - I am a nice and kind girl and it upsets me when staff think they’re better than others. We’ve all got things to deal with so just be nice and don’t assume. Really let my night down

K Ip: I don't understand how a 4.5+ star place on Google = to what I just had experienced. The service was good/fine... But... The food was not fine. When I walked in... There was a smell to the restaurant... Which made me happy that I had decided to sit on the patio. But then when the food came out, it was... just...off. Out of the four types of tacos, three were completely devoid of seasoning - I'm not even talking about spice, just plain salt. It made me thought that 'do I have the flu, is my taste buds dead?' but it wasn't because I could taste the cauliflower one being seasoned and was good. But the beef, carnitas and black beans were... Ack. The shrimp ceviche tasted like what the restaurant smelled like. Don't do it.There are other places up and down Main that does a better job with tacos, or any other cuisine, etc.

The service is sub par and much of the ambiance that use to exist as a Latin spot is now lost its image. The food is decent and cocktail are solid but overall not worth the cost and poor experience that once made it a stamp in Vancouver.

Ziegfried Von Shrodder: Came here on Sunday, May 21st with my wife, and from the time we talked in to getting seated, we had excellent friendly service that I have not had in a while. I believe our servers name was Bradley. Super friendly guy who was attentive, I can tell they were very busy because it was a PACKED house and the music was off the charts. Western style tonight with an 1940’s flare, and bar tenders were quick and attentive as well. Highly Recommend this place. Glad we checked their online calendar for the type of music that was performing and playing tonight. If you get Bradley as your server you are lucky to have him. Staff are very professional even with the drunk idiots in the crowd! I’m sure every restaurant gets those! Check this place out! I highly recommend!
Amarjot Pabla: Been to this place many times. In the past, have enjoyed myself, but unfortunately tonight we experienced some unprofessional behavior. The man at the front, as we were exiting, stopped his coworker from stamping us for re-entry as he decided for us “because we would not be re-entering”. Not sure if this is a policy Guilt&Co has now, but from my past experiences, paying cover allows for re-entry later on. Kind of sad to see a place that I truly enjoyed fall to some horrible customer service. Maybe Guilt & Co can speak to this issue. Is re-entry not allowed after paying the same cover as everyone else in line? Kind of sad to see one of my favorite places in Vancouver fall to this type of behavior. I have so many good memories here, but unfortunately overshadowed by this staff member’s behavior.Followed up by going to Smith’s. Great staff, friendly, genuinely kind people. Highly recommend.**edit: I had a back and forth with the owner because I wanted to clarify some details. I received thoughtful responses and it seems like they are taking situations like this seriously. It’s nice to see that they are trying to improve. I have upped my star rating because of this and I hope the next time I visit, the staff will be as respectful and kind as I’m used to!

Linney Sylvester: Excellent vibes and dimly lit underground live music venue. The charge $6 per set of music. Drinks can be a bit pricey and the food is a limited, but the music is always good and so are the staff! I recommend happy hour to save a few bucks. I'd except to spend about $100 a person if u stay for few drinks and a few sets and snacks to share

Grounds for Divorce cocktail is hands down one of the best drinks I've ever had! Gabriela Ganancio: I recently visited Guilt to celebrate my birthday, and while the waitress who served us was good and very attentive, unfortunately, the evening got off to a bad start due to the unfriendly and rude staff/lady at the door. The staff member at the door seemed disinterested in providing even basic customer service and was unwelcoming from the start.Despite my attempts to engage in conversation and let the staff know that it was my birthday, they showed no interest and didn't even wish me a happy birthday. The staff member's negative attitude left a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel unappreciated and unwelcome.I hope that the management takes note of my complaints and takes steps to ensure their staff provides better customer service in the future. Birthdays are special occasions, and it's disappointing that my experience was marred by such poor treatment by this lady.Ps: Music it was very good!

Simran Gill: I have throughly enjoyed this place every time that I have been to it. I love how they encourage the works of local artists. It’s open everyday and hosts two shows- the early & the late show. They are both equally great. There is no reservation required as its first come first serve basis. You might end up sharing the table or standing at the bar as they try to accommodate as many people as possible. The food is average but the drinks are great. Definitely one of the must-dos in Vancouver!

Sean Carey: Was not informed we’d be charged “per set”for cover charge. Was given the short straw, getting charged $12 for hearing 5 minutes of the first set. Waiting 40 minutes while the band took a break, and hearing 1-2 songs of the next set of the same Maroon 5 wannabe band, and getting charged another $12.All told I paid $24 to listen to ten minutes worth of music with my partner, at $20 a drink too. Maybe part of the cover is the set you hear in line while all the people who “know” someone who works there cut you. I am pretty sure the homies were being charged cover at all. Pretty disappointed.

Very fresh!We also tried the nachos and jalapeno poppers. The nachos had toppings on every bite (nacho fans will know how important this is haha) and the poppers were perfect.The service was wonderful. Friendly and charismatic staff!We also had some margaritas (mango and strawberry.)10/10 would recommend this spot.Date spot or a night out with friends, the atmosphere suits any occasion.
Arielle Cox: We stopped in on Cinco de Mayo for a Margarita. The margaritas were very good and the chips and salsa were delicious. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant feels like your neighborhood restaurant and you feel at home no matter where you sit. I would come back any time in Vancouver for a margarita, chips, and salsa.

Genevieve Riches: sooooo much fun!!! an amazing atmosphere and impeccable service, from the host at the door to the service and management. we went on cinco de mayo and had the strawberry super margs, which were delicious, fresh strawberry purée and everything. Would be my top restaurant recommendation if you are going to gastown! They also hooked us up with some fun merch which we did not expect but was a fun surprise!! We had the best time!! 100/10!!!
