I have been a customer with Freedom since 2018 and I have received my fair share of less than mediocre help. This experience completely made me a customer for life! I was there on a Wednesday (June 27th) around 3:15pm. The man who helped me was so amazing and patient, I will honestly be a customer for life if I continue to get even close to this type of customer service! I wish I remembered his name, but he was the only employee in the store at this time! Thank you so much for your help & I will be back!

Roger Huang: Beware of Freedom Mobile. They charged a crazy amount for roaming in the United States ($70/10 days), and then the data didn't even work which basically left me stranded. I had to spend hours "debugging" (please restart your phone 33434 times) and then time spent wrangling for a refund on the roaming plan only to be told that the agent hadn't noted it, so it still showed up on my bill, so I had to call back. Anything you bring up, the literal only thing they can offer is some $5 discount on your monthly plan, which is covered by less than a day of their bad roaming plans. Absolutely do not recommend this company. I have cancelled my plan and refuse to deal with this level of service.

I offered to PAY for the cord (my phone was completely dead) as I desperately needed to charge my phone. She claimed she didn't have the cord and told me again to go to the store I bought it from. Obviously that was NOT an option or I would've went there instead.Get some customer service skills and LISTEN instead of asserting something else. Went to London Drugs on Robson instead, guy checked my phone, tried a new cord and sure enough it worked, problem solved. I didn't even buy my phone from there but at least they were helpful!

It was black Friday, ofcourse everything was on sale and I could have bought that cellphone with a reasonable price. So, I paid the whole amount, waiting for my cellphone. They told me it would be delivered within 3 days.So...1 week.... 2 weeks... 3 weeks...nothing. and whenever I asked the reason, nobody responded me, they only said we don't know the reason. After one month when I called them, I was told to come and take the refund!!!! After one month! Now it's not black Friday anymore and I have to buy that item much more expensive.I don't recommend best buy. I would never go there anymore, even I don't wanna see or hear that name!

Just give me a flip phone and let me crawl into a hole of T9 dread, please.Did I ever check myself! The sales rep gave really solid advice and I only spent $200 more than I'd hoped but got way more than $200 value out of it. I didn't feel judged at all or the need to explain my social services worker occupational hazards.The sales rep listened to what I needed (just a phone that won't fall apart upon updates or an client's behavioural emergency please) and hooked me up with an affordable screen protector and solid brick. He even put my screen protector on my phone for free because he "does it all the time . . .if [I] have a few minutes just grab and coffee [he'll] be happy to take care of it."Super tight experience that I didn't expect from a big box store. Will totally be back when gravity and my union benefits fail me (3 weeks and as many updates in- still going strong!)I'll always pop into freegreek first but this is my first line for retail phones. Thanks!

I normally go to my mobile carrier to get a new phone but stopped in there because my carrier was out of the Pixel 6 and I'm very happy I did.
Barton Moxness: Was very disappointed with my experience at this location. I was keen on upgrading a device through my existing provider (Shaw Mobile) to the Google Pixel 6 Pro. The amortized cost I was quoted worked out to a monthly rate of approximately $200 more than buying the phone outright, including a shady $45 'upgrade fee'. I informed that the device could not be purchased outright due to internal policies. Very suspect.I informed the sales associate, Alex, that I would like to first call my provider and explore the best course of upgrade since the price quoted worked out to more than the outright purchase. When asked if the phone in stock had multiple units available, I was told 'maybe' and that they would not be willing to let me know if the phone would be available should I return within the hour. This is downright poor customer service and bad business practice. Bid a respectful farewell to the associate and walked immediately out the way I came in. Will not be returning.I was able to purchase the phone direct from Google a few moments later for $1179 after being told the cost was $1,320 + $45 upgrade fee from Bestbuy Mobile. The same exact phone, brand new, not on sale or discount.

I was receiving numerous texts from Freedom about new phones, upgrades, trade-ins, data plans, special offers etc. ... it was completely overwhelming and incomprehensible. Information overload !!!So I went to the Freedom Mobile Shop at the Lynn Valley Centre.David was on duty.David is clearly a very happy person who is incredibly knowledgeable of the intricate information details of new cell phones and Freedom Mobile plans, promotions and "jargon".David is blessed with patience galore. I could not understand the detailed texts from Freedom Mobile about upgrading and new plans. David easily and effortlessly interpreted them for me.It is just so incredulously amazing that I could talk to a real live person to sort out my cell phone billing, contract, upgrading, data plan issues.End result: I upgraded and David helped me with:i. setting up my new phone,ii. transferring all the data from my previous phone,iii. reviewing/discussing my data plan, my usage and adjusting the plan,iv. teaching me the new features of my new phone,v. explaining specifically how the new phone would help me personally when travelling overseas with eSim and Wifi phone calls.Customer Service EXTRAORDINAIRE !!!With help like David I will stay with Freedom Mobile ... it makes my life and decision making so much simpler, easier, almost effortless.Thank you DAVID H. !!!

I had an awesome customer service experience here. Exceptionally good service. Unlike other stores, they try to give all possible benefits to the customers whatever Freedom mobile is offering. If there are some time sensitive deals and offers...they convey it immediately to their customers. I had old sim resulting in slow data speed. Mr. Faisal offered to get it replaced at no additional cost. I have now new package with double the data but at a bill less than what I had before. The reason...they get back to their customers as soon as a good secret deal is offered from Freedom mobile. So, going to them is not just one time experience but a life time experience. Thanks to Mr. Faisal for providing exceptionally good service. I highly rate them and admire them. Thank you very much.
Decha Navi: DO NOT go to this kiosk!!! Go to the corporate store at Capilano Mall. The manager of the Lynn valley location is unhelpful and disrespectful (the employees at the kiosk do their best but they have a horrible manager).He would not replace a phone that is 19 days old with the film still on that the brand new phone came with. The manager at the Capilano mall would have replaced it but could not since we made the horrible mistake of not going to the corporate store.Go get your phones at Cap mall! I’ve been dealing with this insane circus to get the phone repaired for over 15 hours over 3 days and a dozen trips back and forth.

horn aino: My iphone just became not be able to connect internet one morning so I originally went to Freedom on 4th in Kits to see if they can help me.I explained the situation to the lady who helped me and asked if they would replace my device since I couldn’t remember if I have an insurance to cover and also I had a blurry memory I did this before but couldn’t remember if it was Freedom. She just said “No, we don’t do that.” without asking when I bought it or offering to look into my account about insurance. I was considering to buy a new phone as well but I just left there and went to Freedom in Kingsgate mall cause I had a great experience when I bought my current phone and I’m glad I did! Abhay and Michael were beyond helpful and they looked into my account (I did not have an insurance and even though if I did, my case was manufacturing issue so it was not eligible anyway but they explained to me everything.) and they gave me so many useful informations including apple store services to get it fix. They even tried to make an appointment for me since I couldn’t access any internet with my phone! The staff are super knowledgeable and willing to help you with very friendly vibe. I was bit stressed as I am flying Japan in few days and worried if I couldn’t use my phone in Tokyo, I’d be doomed lolI ended up going to apple store and the phone is all good now but these Freedom guys really made my day. I would 120% recommend this location! They rule!!

Thanks!EDIT: A few years after that initial review, when I went to leave Canada I went to the Freedom mobile store again to ask what I needed to do to cease my service, and they said you’re all paid up to date, and you’re pre-paid so don’t do anything, your service will just terminate when you don’t pay. Assured this was all I needed to do [nothing] I left Canada, and was promptly harassed by Freedom Mobile for about a year demanding $147 CAD, after which they sent me to a Canadian collections agency. Good luck with that bub.

This store, however, was happy to just ¯_(ツ)_/¯ and smile when presented with the concept that I might be unable to purchase a current, flagship phone, advertised near the top of their website. This seemed 'normal' to them.PS my review is one star higher than I'd like to rate them.
Mark Simone: This is not a review of this location specifically, but of my experience as a Freedom mobile customer after about six months. I think "Freedom" is a misnomer for this company as I now feel like I am now trapped for two years in a contract with a mobile provider that has unbelievably terrible coverage. Anyone who is considering switching from one of the larger mobile providers - be warned - Freedom has terrible coverage around the city of Vancouver, and no coverage once you leave the city limits. I'm not sure what is more frustrating, the poor coverage on Freedom's own network, or the fact that you are bounced to another carrier once you leave their coverage area, and then your wifi minutes are severely limited and you will have to pay overage fees. I had decided to switch to Freedom because their monthly rates appear to be much lower than the bigger carriers, but I regret not doing any research into their coverage. It is a Shaw owned company, and had I been aware of this I would have avoided it for sure. My experience as a Shaw home wifi customer has been terrible too. I will be going back to another carrier as soon as my contract is over.
John Paragas: Unbelievable customer service! 3 staffs and no other customers inside the store and none of the staffs bothered to talk and explain what are the different plan is! Go somewhere else! Freedom mobile you should be ashame hiring these lazy staffs!
Evren Cubukgil: Staff here are excellent, they went above and beyond to sort out cells phones and home internet for my wife and I. They were very concerned about my wife's older freedom phone which they suspected had a faulty bettery.
Andy Greene: Unfriendly, arrogant staff. Not even 1 star, this place was a total waste of time. The female staff member with the bad attitude should be fired!

Vic Grey: Got a new phone from Virgin on Jan 1st 2019. It wouldn't charge around spring time, so i took it in to be fixed. Around 4/5 months after it wouldn't charge again. I took it down to be fixed for the second time on December 30th, 2019 (still within my warranty) I asked the people at the store if it would be covered under my warrant and they said yes. A week later i get an email saying its not covered because by the time it took to ship my phone to the repair place it was passed Jan 1st 2020. WTF. The contract says if you bring your phone in before the year it will be covered...not by the time they deliver your phone to the factory.

'Asked me what do you want" So, i left frustrated. I passed by their counter everytime i go for cinema. I noticed their community loves to chat and socializing and stuck on their own phone chatting. If you noticed even for other jobs like food delivery " skip the dishes" "Doordash" they took time more chatting with their phones or they spend time group together while working , or these Cab Drivers, always on the phone while driving , isnt safe. I wonder , this is how they make money?

Two staff were in the store, one busy with another customer...the other kinda just...there.I looked at the mobiles on display for some time, before he says...'ya want somethin'?' ...I inquired about a few of the display handsets, and he immediately mentioned that 3 of them were out of stock (without offering up any other alternative routes to obtain a phone, like online or another location). I then asked about Chatr plans, and what was currently offered. The guy seemed utterly bored and told me to go online to check out their plans!Seriously?!I am actually considering finding a new provider following this experience. After I left the shop, I watched a pair of young (his age) women enter the store...he swooped in like a hawk..all smiles and enthusiasm.I'm not that old...nor that unattractive...but this guy sure made me feel that I was!!

Calling Customer service , I was told it is not in exist !!! It means I lost it an it was given to lother provider .POOR RESPONSIBILITY ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.
