Railtown Actors Studio: what do users think?
Ailysh Greenway: I've been studying with Railtown for many years....I love it :) I'm a better actor and a better person because of this studio.
Mike Fraser: This place is awesome! It’s the real deal. I have Frank Cassini as a teacher and he is incredible. Getting to work with him reminds me of why I wanted to start acting in the first place. It’s a Very Respectful and Safe place where you can lose yourself in a character and then find your own self in the process!Highly Recommend!
Sean Roach: Amazing place for actor training and tapped auditions.
Natalie Harris: I attended the film intensive with John Cassini and he helped me "shake the rust off". After the class I feel confident and back on track. I highly recommend Railtown Actors Studio to actors of all levels.
Evan Moyer: Great creative space. This place is filled with people who are dedicated to the work and art.
Amy Fox: Great education. They really make good use of students’ time.

Deb Podowski Acting Studio: what do users think?
Offgrid Writer: Deb Podowski Acting Studio is the place to be if you want to take your acting chops to the next level.I am currently taking Deb Podowski’s online Zoom classes and I am loving it.She gives so much energy to each and every student. No wonder why she is so highly revered in Vancouver. Thanks Deb!
Mirko Maras: This is my third month of acting classes with Kaaren and it is way more then I thought it would be.You learn so much about yourself as a person and actor and really learn to let go. Really excited to be a part of these classes and look forward to continuing on.
Giuliana Giotto: The best acting school in Vancouver! Deb Podowski is the best!
Blue Tuna: I feel Austin-Tuck Studios is the best acting Studio in Vancouver. I have tried several others and this acting school holds it own. The prices are very affordable(especially when comparing other acting classes). I recommend Deb Podowski's on-camera class if you want to strengthen your game in front of the camera.
Jesse McLeod: Nothing compares to Deb's class and coaching. She makes you get specific and put in the work, and doesn't let anyone coast through the class or "phone it in." Deb is very dedicated and puts in crazy hours to help each and every one of her students - all at the most affordable price you can find in Vancouver. She also promotes a respectful, motivated, and supportive acting community, inside and out of her classes. Cannot recommend enough.
Caroline Doyle: Having taken a class every Monday with Deb Podowski at Austin-Tuck studios for over a year, I can honestly say there is nothing that she cannot do. She’s caring but she is also a tough-love teacher. She expects you to be prepared and that expectation creates hard work. Because of scene study with her, I have gained confidence, found where my emotion lies and learned how to truly dissect a script. If you want to get your act together and become a “booker”… you better go with Deb Podowski at Austin-Tuck Studios. Get ready for some hard, but 100% worth it, work.
Tricia Gilliss: Deb's personalized coaching approach made a HUGE impact on my acting! She not only provides practical technical techniques, methods and exercises but Deb's intuitive abilities see beyond the masks and subconscious blocks that inhibit the truth of the character. If you are ready to work hard and looking for frank feedback from a coach who gives her whole heart - while being surrounded by passionate and talented actors - Austin-Tuck Studios is the pace for you!
Reid Anderson: I have been a student at Austin Tuck with Deb Podowski for quite some time. I cannot say enough about her brilliance and her dedication to all people who are chasing a (damn near impossible) dream. I can guarantee you it is not whatsoever about making money with her. Extremely practical instruction driven by pure passion and respect for the craft of acting. It's an honour to be her student.
Ray Boulay: Ok, here's the deal; If you're an actor and you are in need of a shake up in your mindset, your process, your ability to see deeper than the text, your understanding of relationships with other characters, their relationships to you, your relationship with yourself, what's at stake, what you want, what they want, to breathe a life into your character(s), to bring a life to the story, to draw the audience in, to make them hate you, love you, need you, want you to win, lose, live or die, to understand you don't need to shed tears to show you are being pulverized on the inside, to be representational NOT presentational and to challenge yourself beyond anything you could have ever imagined in your acting life..Then I'd say you need to attend Deb's class. She will help you. She assess where you are now and plots the best course for you to go further. And remember there are no limits to how far you can go. It will be hard work. There are no kid-gloves. You'll probably cry (I have). But it is incredibly rewarding when you've made gains. And when you do make gains, Deb as well as your acting colleagues in class, celebrate with you. Always. In Deb and Austin-Tuck Studios, you have someone on your side that will go to bat for you IF you put in the work. PUT IN THE WORK! She settles for nothing less. If you've settled for less, she'll let you know. She has changed me as an actor and thus changed me as a person.100%. I'm more confident in my choices. More confident in the 'Room' and she's given me the skills to proudly OWN my work. AND did I mention I'm also an 'older' actor...? (started really late 30's). In this ageist industry, it is usually a larger, up hill battle to 'break into the biz'..But I've beaten the odds. I'm in. Big time.. She's helped me..What can she do for you?But remember: To be helped you have to put in the work!I fully, wholeheartedly and completely endorse Deb Podowski and Austin-Tuck Studios. Now go shake things up...Sincerely,Ray Boulay
Celine D Modschiedler: The studio is such a great space to practice your craft! I have been taking scene study with Deb for about a year now and I love it. Deb is a great coach, she doesn't try to tell you what you should do or how to do it but instead pushes you to figure out what works for you and to always go further and work harder. In her class you learn to develop a work ethic and good practice for working on any scene or character. She's really good at pinpointing which areas you personally need more practice in and she pushes you in that direction. Everyone in the class works hard and you learn so much by watching everyone else work as well!

Nagayuki Kameya: I took Intro to Acting class PACE 1.It was 8 weeks of class that involved lots of good study and work in front of camera.Simon is teacher and mentor that not only teach us how to act but, he speak about his experience of his auditions in the past and being as an actor on the set. Everything he says is useful aspect for the people who want to be an actor.I really recommend this place!

Jean dos Passos: Was such a good experience being there.
Willemijn vtZ: Very informative, insightful and a lot of fun!! There is so much to learn, the two weeks just flew by. I'm going to miss all the great people I met, but will never regret stepping into the VADA studio :).
janice cheer: Just did the two week intensive program and it was great! Simon was a great instructor with real life lessons in the industries. It’s like going to gym, you better be ready to work out.
Justin Schrump: photo: example of the acting lines from the two (2) week intensive programVADA provides experience from working professionals like Simon. While working under his guidance there was never a dull moment. Recommended for all ages.
Nijat N: VADA studio has been teaching acting skills, helping you find your strengths and build your acting career step by step. Just finished first phase, will enroll the next ones!
Olga Murphy: I carefully chose this school to teach me as I am a busy person and do not have much time to waist. I finished 3 evening classes and strongly agree that training is extremely important if you have serious intentions. Teachers are great, Simon Longmore is like a deep well of great experience and knowledge that you can draw from. School location is convenient and evening classes end not too late. Staff is nice, helpful, reliable. Overall, a friendly and professional atmosphere definitely helps to overcome the challenges of stepping into a new career.
Alex Luc: VADA is a very fun school to learn acting, I’ve learned a lot, about acting, myself and how camera tech and lighting works too. It’s important to learn all this too, to make it easier for everyone around you when on set.I originally took PACE 1 then now taking full year diploma and it’s been a lot of fun and eye opening experience. I’ve definitely grown a lot and gotten feedback from each and every teacher, learning different techniques and seeing their perspective of how to act. Very grateful to have taken this chance, and to be in this school, teachers are understanding and push us just the right about to challenge us, while still giving support, thank you 😊-Alexander or Alex for short
Mae Postel: I recommend this place if you're interested in acting classes. They are friendly, professional, and direct. There is parking behind the building as well, using the indigo parking app.
Social With Jo: Took the two week intensive with Simon and honestly learned more than I expected! I always thought that I should move more.. do more.. exaggerate more when performing scenes.. but I learned that staying still, and calm while delivering lines is much for effective! I appreciated the freedom of making mistakes, and being critiqued on them which helped me better my performance the next time. If you want to be an actor and want to see if it’s really what you want to do as a career.. I highly recommend taking the 2 week intensive! Last but not least, thanks so much Simon for believing in me even when I doubted myself, it really motivated me to keep going and not give up. Thank you. Look forward to taking more classes in the near future! ☺️
Elaine Thrash: I took the 2-week intensive program with Simon Longmore and it was very productive. The classes are not too full, and the staff is very supportive.Strongly recommend it, specially for those who are not sure about what to expect from the classes, and prefer short-term programs.
Lateef Ellahham: SIMON LONGMORE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND WITH TEACHING AND CARING SO MUCH ABOUT HIS STUDENTS. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE STARTING OUT OR EVEN WITH ACTING EXPERIENCE TO LITERALLY ENROLL RIGHT NOW AND CHECK THIS STUDIO OUT FOR YOURSELF.THANK YOU VADA STUDIO AND STAFF FOR AN INCREDIBLE 2 WEEK INTENSIVE COURSE, I FOUND A LOT OF VALUE IN THESE CLASSES. I CAN'T WAIT TO START MY CAREER AS A PROFESSIONAL ACTOR IN VANCOUVER!!
Adam Arki: I really enjoyed the 2 week intensive program. Lots of value in such a short time, I’m very satisfied with the knowledge I’ve obtained and I would recommend this school to anyone pursuing acting professionally. The teacher/owner Simon Longmore is the man.
Eugenia Beciez: It was such a great journey, i took the two week intensive an I learned so much about acting, from slates, comercials, auditions until acting for TV and series, Simon was a great teacher, i loved it :)
Will Wills: Did the 2 week on camera intensive with Simon Longmore, it was excellent, I learned so much, I highly recommend.

Vancouver Institute of Media Arts (VanArts): what do users think?
Deepesh sachdev: Female Respresenatative of vanart india was mean, rude, disrecptful. No Apology came from van art. was also asked to take down my bad review about van art for being brutal honest over social media in threatful way.
Prachi Bapat: I recently completed my Web development and Interactive design program from VanArts. It was an intense program. The professors are really supportive and give you ample of time answering your questions. Classes are small. You get lots of professional advice in your one to one sessions. Its a very hands on, project-based program were you get to learn from your professors who are experts in this industry.I would totally recommend this program to anyone who want to pursue their career in Web development industry.
Lisa Millerd: I took the web development course in 2021-2022 and had an excellent experience. It's a very hands on, project-based program where you work closely with your instructors who are professionals in the industry. Classes are small and you get lots of one-on-one time with instructors when you want to work through a problem or ask for professional advice.
sachi goto: I completed the Web Development and Interactive Design program in August 2022. You will definitely benefit from this program if you can dedicate yourself for one year and put your best effort into all the projects. This program is intense so you can easily fall behind if you are not committed to this program but you will gain a comprehensive understanding of web development, from UX/UI to SEO to multiple different programming languages if you dedicate yourself to this program. The head of the department, John Manoar, is dedicated to teaching us and constantly reminds us to ask questions if we are unclear. He is very approachable. He is up-to-date about technology and you get to learn cutting-edge technology from him.The way John taught us programming was particularly impressive to me. He is very thorough and he is more than happy to repeat until we understand.Throughout the program, I was very grateful that he is the heard of the department.I recommend this program to anyone who is willing to dedicate a year to being a developer.
Yuka Yamamoto: I am a student of web development & interactive design at VanArts. There was a head teacher change from my class and there seems to be a big and good change in the program. The teachers are very supportive. They are always flexible and willing to take the students' opinions and try to make the class suitable for our situation. The classes are always step by step and if there is a lot that we don't understand, they give us time to work on it. Taking advantage of the small class size, if you ask for feedback or follow-up after class, they will give me time to talk one-on-one.All classes are project-based, giving me more hands-on skills. The course content tries to help me study the rapidly changing front-end trends.Since this is a one-year course, there are many hard parts of the course, but my teachers and classmates are always very supportive!
Techy Ted: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueSTAY AWAY... especially from the Web Development course. It is useless and the teachers don't care about you or your future! This college is mainly attended by rich kids looking for a student visa so they can stay in Vancouver. BCIT is around the corner go there and get your moneys worth!
Pigeon Man: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Valueif you aren't a social person, you won't do well here
Risako Futagawa: I am actually a full time student in Van Arts Web Development program. This is the most relevant information I can provide. About 3 weeks ago our department head suddenly left and we have not been able to get a proper education. We all pay the tuition and we should be able to get a high quality education. Since the instructor changed, one of the instructor for PHP and Javascript never came on time, he will not teach us enough. Also he will never give us break and continue the class past our lunch time. Because of his delay, we have not been taught enough in term2 so far. All the students are frustrated, worried and concerned about the situation. We have been sending emails to school but nothing has been better. Another instructor started teaching us PHP from this week but he seems like he does not know what we have learned so far... None of the communication has been done between instructors. We thought this new instructor will be better. But he does not answer questions from students and finish the class early. My classmates and I really want to change this whole situation because we take our education seriously. We emailed this new instructor to have a talk on Friday. He said he will make time but he did not show up.... I am very upset about how school is handling everything and no one cares about our education. My classmates and I are trying our best but nothing has been working well. I hate to write a poor review but this is the reality and I do not recommend anyone to go to this school. When you have problems, none of the instructors are there to understand or support you. I do not think it is worth to pay an expensive tuition and get nothing from it. I do not know about other programs but I do not recommend web development program. It is not a good school.
Dave S: Horrible experience in my opinion. Towards the end, the school became cheap and unprofessional. They even crack a joke at your expense when you leave. I have personally not recommended this school at all.
Jessica Everington: I did the Web Development & Interactive Design course 2019-2020. The teachers were really knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I felt comfortable raising any issues and the department head listened to any concerns we had. They really care about nuturing you, and were genuinely excited to watch us grow and develop our skills.I didn't have any issue with the facilities there. They are basic, but you're there to learn not chill out in the break room. I had access to all the software and programs required for the course without needing to buy anything except a $15 domain name where we uploaded our projects. The school itself is in a central location and easy to get to by bus or train.I'd recommend this course to anyone considering a career in web-something. I say "web-something" because it's a holistic course that goes beyond "just" web development. I shopped around a few different schools and ultimately chose this one due to the fact they also cover design, business, project management, and SEO. I'm so thankful I went here - I went in thinking I wanted to be a full-stack developer and fell in love with SEO instead. Now, I'm a digital marketer. I don't think I'd have had that opportunity at another school. If you are considering the webdev course, just know that you need to put the work in or you'll get nothing out of this course. The webdev course is REALLY hard and you can't coast along. It moves at a breakneck pace because there is just SO MUCH you need to learn in a year.Pro tip: always remember that every project you do will eventually go in your portfolio. At job interviews they will test your skills, so don't put anything on your portfolio that you can't code by yourself.
Maria Lavetkina: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME.I wish I invested my money in the stock market than wasted them on Web Development program.Instructors make you believe you can be a full stack developer but that's not true. That's not how the market works. Yes, the program covered a lot of courses, but nothing went in depth.A couple of instructors were professional and good, the rest of them weren't.One instructor took really long to check the homework or other projects. And when I say long, I mean 4 months, no joke. The same instructor kept talking about his dating life. So I learned a lot about it but not much about PHP and JavaScript.Instructors tell you to email them when you have questions, but they rarely reply. They are great example of who you should not be.One instructor said that VanArts is a business. Well, then I'm not satisfied with a quality of service VanArts provides. The only one good thing about my time in VanArts is the other students, some of them became my friends. Most of the students in my class also thought it was a waste of money.I DO NOT RECOMMEND web development program. There are better schools in Vancouver.
Jacob Green: Positive:Professionalism,ValueSpeaking on Photography: a school that is invested in an individual's success outside of grades on a sheet. Helps by creating a professional environment, they can help guide real-life opportunity, with real-life working professionals, and an admin team that listens to their students
Anirudh Garg: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Arthur “The Old Arthur” Marto: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityAwesome school and people!! I loved the Game Art and Design Program. I learned everything I needed to be in the industry. Thank you so much VANARTS! :)
Salman Ali: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueCame with mediocre skills..learned a lot in span of one year.
Ian Manuel Hernández: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityGreta! I completed the VFX program and learned A LOT, great for all levels of students.
Rohaan Allport: I'm a graduate from the Game Art & Design March 2019 batch. VanArts was in many ways what I expected, and in many ways not. I learnt a lot. Learnt industry standards, processes and became proficient in a lot of software. And I made many new friend with similar career interest. However after being guided and taught the basics, myself, friends and colleagues feel that program needs to be updated. Newer tools, and methods to accomplishing a task have since developed, An example would be making hair and adding hair dynamics.
Gabriel Antoniosi: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueLovely place. You will learn tons of stuffs in just one year program.
Mathews Gijo: If I had a time machine and were given the option of either travelling to one of the best moments of my life or back to that one year at Vanarts, I wouldn’t have to choose...they are both the same. This place is not just a school. It’s more. Vanarts is familia. The fast and furious kind. Besides all these, the staff is extremely helpful and kind. They are also a few of the best in their respective industry. The environment is very friendly and calming too. I for one have learnt a lot in one year that another student would take years to learn.I’d give the school more stars if Google gave me more stars XD

Au Comptoir: what do users think?
S L: Very expensive, but the service and the food not as good as you pay !One time experience for us.
Y L: Amazing place with great food and awesome service. Authentic french style. Really enjoyed it! Will be back
AmbrosiusMD: You’ve got to eat here at least once, and preferably more than once. The food is incredible, the staff are consummate professionals, and the experience is unforgettable.
Don James: Belated review but, Charles was amazing! Thank you Charles :)
P: Croque madame - with egg !!!!
Danny Israel: Had the duck and the cod, it was underwhelming. The fish was bland, the duck was fine but the sides were a bit of a joke, basically some raw carrots that still had brown on the exteriors. The value for the price is not there.
Nazanin M: A bit overpriced, a bit narcissistic, a bit pleasant, very French 🥖🥖Recommend.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
TH Mak: Came here for a late brunch. Wasn’t sure what to get so opted for a burger. That was an amazing juicy and rich burger, surprised at how good it was!Great friendly service as well.
Aiden: Been meaning to check this place out for a while now, but was putting it off due to not being able to make reservations for dinner. But finally decided to just go for it by heading there a bit early before the dinner rush. We got there at around 6:15 and it was already filling up. By 7:00pm, people lining up were getting turned away (so I do suggest coming early if you want to get a spot). Now onto the food...We started off with 2 appetizers. The beef tartare and prawns served in between 2 puff pastries. Out of the 2, the tartare was my favourite. So much so that we ended up putting in a second order. I've never tried tartare with fried bread but surprisingly, it was delicious. All the flavours blended perfectly together. Especially with the whipped horseradish. My main course (Bavette V'aloyau) was out of this world. Usually, the steaks I get are served with mashed potatoes, but THESE potatoes (pommes daupines) are insane. Biting into them, they're warm and soft. Probably softest potato's I've ever had served up in a restaurant.Next time, will be back for brunch!
Serena Lee: Had a lovely weekend lunch at one of my favorite bristro in Vancouver! It has a relaxing atmosphere with attentive service and good food with reasonable price. The egg cocotte - French way of slow baking egg in a water bath with cream and cheese, is very soft and tasty. It paired with the pork and leek sausage which has lots of flavor yet does not feel greasy at all. The bacon and duck fat thyme potato rosti provide texture contrast in the dish. Next time I would like to try the crispy fried duck wings which look delicious on the table next to us.

Archie Bagshaw: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Lemon TartMore
Dan Vas: Super 10/10 authentic français food
Isa BDP: The best French restaurant you can find in Vancouver. Once you are there, you feel like in France, especially in a brasserie from Paris. "Au Comptoir" is not only reflecting a nice French vintage look by its interior design but offers also a fantastic menu. At your first bite, your palate will feel an explosion of flavors like a firework in your mouth. Every time I go there, I close my eyes in tasting the first bite of my dish. This makes me travel in time, bringing me back to my grandmother and her delicious food. Thanks to Maxime, Julien and their team for creating magic. 🙏
Olena Polissky: Exceptionally delicious authentic French food and wine, highly professional service, pleasant ambiance. Au comptoir never disappoints. Merci beaucoup!
M F: Pretentious. Went in for croissants. They told us they only made some to fill orders for other restaurants and that none were ready for customers. We leave. Five minutes later we see one of the "regular" customers who always sits outside with his dogs. He is somehow able to get a croissant which he enjoys outside. Cool.

Vancouver Film School: what do users think?
Robert Wilkinson: It takes genius to recognize genius, and there is no guarantee the teachers are even at average IQ. There wasn’t anyone courageous to do anything provocative it was a total waste of money. Kevin Smith left the school and got a refund, he used that money to make Clerks. Don’t go if you have any artistic fiber of your own. It’s no honour to be accepted there, they’ll accept anyone who will pay the outrageous tuition.I seriously doubt they read the script I submitted.
faraz bahrami: Lots of movies and shows are coming out of this city, still waiting on a good one. I blame it on these guys.know nothings
Victor Valdes: One of my biggest regret was attending this school for Game Design and now I'm paying the price for it (figuratively and literally). Why pay tens of thousands for a one year tuition when there's already plenty of great resources about game development available for free online? There is absolutely no knowledge that they teach that isn't already available on the web.Attending this course will not guarantee employment in the industry at all. Please don't be fooled by their misleading marketing statistics.I don't mean to discourage anyone from pursuing a career in game design, I'm just saying there's much better alternatives than this diploma-mill school.Just keep in mind: most of the people who created your favorite games didn't go to these types of schools for game design, they went to schools that specialized on art or programming specifically.
Ash Green: I have a few criticisms to make as someone who graduated from the acting program. VFS is a program that is set up in such a way that basically anyone who was already poised to successfully make it in the industry before graduating will be the ones who actually make a career in acting. As someone who was in the acting department I feel as though there probably wasn't enough criticism on people's acting abilities so people who maybe needed it wouldn't grow in the ways they need to. It's structured in a way where everyone is a loving family and when you're there you'll feel like everyone is your best friend but In the cutthroat competitive world of acting this "everyone loves eachother and is best friends" mentality isn't how people get roles. There isn't really much collaboration with other departments aside from film production and the projects you work on when you collaborate with them are not used as demo reel footage when you graduate. There's also virtually no collaboration with the animation department which I feel like would be detrimental in learning about the world of voice acting and again that doesn't go into your demo reel either. Instead your demo reel is a cut of you standing against a black wall re enacting scenes from movies and tv shows and your voice acting demo reel is comprised of you writing a character to act and reading off of material that already exists and already has a voice actor so again you're not really bringing anything unique to your demo reel. Having certain classes and teachers be on your resume certainly is helpful when contacting agents but I feel like there's not enough collaboration that can be used to showcase your growth and ability as an actor and I hope VFS can recognize this and adjust their curriculum to not just "encourage" collaboration (and by encourage I mean sort of off handedly saying "oh yeah animation students sometimes need voice actors for projects you can do that I guess") it would be significantly better if these collaboration were baked into the learning experience and were part of the curriculum so that 1- you can learn about networking in a way that allows you to actually learn about what collaboration with different people on projects is like and 2- you could then use that project as a part of your demo reel. I feel like if this were adjusted and we didn't spend so much time on making other students read a monologue about other students traumas in front of them we might see a higher rate of successful actors who graduate from this program.
Jessamine Salas: ACTORS BEWARE!!! When you work on a VFS set, expect to not get your footage at all. I've been waiting on a couple of mine since 2019.We work to get footages and add them on our reels, showcase it to our agents, and to potentially work. But we can't even do that because the students don't reply to our emails any more once production has been done.
Reid Larson: During the admission process you have to submit a story or piece of your work. I had little writing experience and what i wrote was honestly not very good. The guy told me though that it was so interesting and the characters were so interesting and that he was "honestly impressed" blah blah blah. So I thought hey maybe I am better at this than I thought. Later I overheard another student saying what that same guy told her, and it was word for word identical to what he siad to me. They lied to me and told me what I wanted to hear. With what I know now about script writing and the other stories I have wrote there was no reason he should have told me that draft I sent in was any good. just don't let them butter you up
Wahid Alam: online the sarvish,s,can only 📞📞62..9.5.7.11.4..09..VFS GLOBAL
Paul Kalkman: Got me this far
Ra: For anyone interested in enrolling into the VFS’s writing program - DON’T. When you graduate, you’re back on your own. There will be no connections in the industry. They bite off way more than they can chew and trying to get quality one on one time with the teachers is rare. If you want to learn how to write a screenplay, google a screenplay of your favourite movie/television show and there ya go. Emulate it, add in your original idea and boom, you’re now a screenplay writer. Just one last tip, it’s not the credential (VFS diploma) you have, it is who you know that lets you into the industry.
Crystal Smith: The structure is great, good teachers and studio. BUT super expensive for what they really give to you. They promise to teach you so many things in just a year program and may be too overwhelming for the student. For acting is a good school, for 2d animation also a good school. For visual effects, Lost Boys or Capilano University are much better than VFS. For game design VFS is the best for sure.
Dan Riesen: My starting point to get into filmproduction! Nice Stuff and an excelllent education. Happy to be a alumni!
Floway: Very good, teachers are experienced, and understanding. Their ciriculums are organized very well so its not stress ful to the students, if you meet Ms. Kristine say hi for me :)
Marcelo Diniz: Critical:Professionalism,Quality
Dallis Swiatek: I STRONGLY warn international students that this program does not provide a post graduate work permit. In the schools advertising they imply that they are providing you with industry connections and fast tracking your career but once you are graduated if you are not a resident Canadian you are on your own and most students end up going back home. International students will likely not find the industry connections they want here if they cannot get a work permit some other way.
Billy Bob: Graduated from the film production program. Myself and everyone I talked to in my class about it agreed that we should have gone to a different film school. It's not worth the money or time. The level of education is so low that they were literally showing No Film School YouTube videos in class. One person committed suicide while I was there. I know that one of my class mates had a thankfully unsuccessful suicide attempt. Everyone in my class that I talked to about it said their mental health suffered because of the school. The TA's I talked with all said the school has an increasingly negative reputation in the industry. Some of my class mates got jobs as PA's and said they stopped telling people that they went to VFS because of the reactions they got.I wish I could get a refund and a year of my life back.
Geralda Matias: Ayumi minha yu
tenedria: (game design - 5 years ago)Overall their handling of learning disabilities is abysmal at best. Hopefully they improved, and no longer stigmatize people with learning disabilities. This was years ago, but my experience there was traumatizing. I must add this treatment is regardless of what your grades are. Even if you have 90-100% they still act like you are failing class.I'm not giving 1 star because I did learn a lot in the short time I was there. However I went to a different school and they teach the same thing.Another down side of VFS is that their courses are not individualized. This means if you want to focus on learning 3d modeling, UX design or programming, you won't be able to.The facilities are better than what other schools have. However, due to the short school year, you might not have time to learn everything you wanted to learn.
شیدا میار: When I go to Canada, that part of Vancouver, I go there for both study and work
Pame _0134: Positive:Professionalism
Michael Angelo: The best people, they use to come my Michael Angelos Mega Slice Pizza and Donair Shop every day. And it's a great school. Awesome Teachers and bright students
Hemansh goswami: A great school to learn your craft all the instructors are really approchable, I consider myself as an introvert an anti social. to some extent but i had the greatest time in VFS Even though i was an INTERNATIONAL STUDENT it felt like homeworth all my moneyhighly recommended

Yuk Yuk's Comedy Club Vancouver: what do users think?
Mehran B.: Tough to find! But lots of good laughs
Derek K: What’s up with the annoying buzzing noises, takes away from the show. Time for an upgrade? Otherwise a good night for some laughs. Will return once the Reno’s are done.
Negin Armani: Great show, sub par venue. It was a sold out show and we arrived 15 minutes before the show started, so we were seated towards the back near the bar. The overhead lights at the bar were very bright and the buzzing noises were super distracting and took away from our enjoyment of the show. The ice machine was running and also making loud noises the entire show. Not just noticeable in our area, people towards the front were turning their heads to see where all the noise was coming from. It also didn't help that the mic volume was super low. We mentioned it to the server and she was aware, but said there wasn't anything she could do. The service was friendly and attentive, food menu was pretty limited (chicken wings and chicken tenders) but they had a surprisingly decent variety at the bar and the prices weren't too bad ($42 for 3x beer and 2x cocktails)I just wish the overall atmosphere was better at this venue to support the various shows it hosts. I won't be quick to come back.
Bruce Voss: Nice little comedy club downtown. Friendly service and homey feel. Nice peeps! Nice young crowd. Good selection of teas - if you’re into that kind of thing!
John Debest: Good to see Yuk Yuks back and comics working again. I have always loved stand up comedy since the 70s , whether at the Queen Elizabeth theater or in Vegas. This venue is seriously flawed as it closely resembles a cafeteria, with kitchen staff and waiters talking at the bar and kitchen. Totally oblivious to the comic trying to get through their material. A table of loud drunks were allowed to further wreck the show- No staff to give them the yellow card. You must block off the kitchen and bar from the seats with sound deadening partitions, the theater area should be dark, quiet and separated from all distractions. We will be back again but I'm hoping that there are some improvements to the layout.PS: The site is a great choice and hopefully the race track crowd along with the casino gamblers take in a comedy show. Should be a Win, Win, Win for the different entertainment options. JD.
Orkhan Suleymanov: Awesome experience at their first show in the new Vancouver location after Covid. The entrance is from the racecourse side of the building. There is also free parking there.

BC Cancer Agency: what do users think?
Bumblebee: The care my Mom receives here is phenomenal. Dr.Smrke is excellent. The reason for the 3 stars is the with the department that does lab work. Something needs to be done about the long wait times. It’s not fair for very sick chemo patients to come in and have a very lengthy wait to get blood taken. Combined with chemo it makes for an extremely long day. I understand the shortages but as a province let’s figure out a solution on the strain our healthcare system is experiencing.
nikki chow: It seems that there is never anyone working at the front desk (2368 ext). I've tried to call in several times, within their opening hours and all I'm hit with is their pre-recorded message. So, I decided to leave a message, but they never got back to me... The following day I just let the call through, for the general line, they say they can only transfer me back to the (2386 ext) desk. Where I'm listening to the same pre-recorded message again.
v l: They do the best with what they have. The facility shows signs of age (frequent elevator or WC out of order) but still well kept.
Maria Tujal: My experience has being very positive ✨️With the BC Cancer Volunteers
leslie mark: I would like to Express my opinion on what had happened these past months.First off I would like to give Thanks to you for taking your time in "wait for a call" 4 months ago when my family had reached out in hope for my mom who has cancerIt took 2 MONTHS for a phone call back.My mom could have gotten the help she needed before the cancer got worse. Now she is on her death bed and I now have to say goodbye to my mom.We had reached out to alot of places and this is one of the many. Give better care to everyone in need.
Samantha Bacchus McLeod: Omg, the kindness of the medical staff here is incomparable. Once you actually get into our system, you are treated like gold with the utmost respect and compassion.
Avery Gillick: Always helpful and organised. A great service to the community
Silver Lining: I am receiving excellent care from our cancer agency. All doctors and staff are professional, helpful, and pleasant. We are very fortunate in our province to have this care. Beverly
William Andrusco: Freshly caring staff
Chantal R: As a cancer patient with children, BC Cancer has consistently given me less than a week to sort out childcare for my appointments and treatments. During Spring Break, I was given 3 days to find childcare for my chemo infustions during Covid. When calling, you will never get to talk to a person, you have to leave messages, but the answering machines are FULL! When you do talk to a nurse, they can't tell me anything and tell me to keep trying to leave a message on a full answering machine. 1st class treatments, 3rd world administration of the treatments. Unacceptable.
Edward Eng: It's a hospital. I have had annual MRIs here and I usually am relaxed enough inside the machine that I get 45 minutes of nap-time after work
Bryan Thorp: Saved my life!
Edmund Kropf: "You are truly an exceptional group of people."To all the Dedicated Doctors, Nurses, and Support Staff, Thank you ever so much for all that you have done for me! You are truly an exceptional group of people. Thank You! Thank You!! Thank You!!!
Lovely Athwal: Awesome people that Work there and care for the patients, in my experience since coming here 2017. During my Chemo 2017 nurse Paula was so caring and compassionate 👍This week had a little scare again and my Ultrasound Technician Annalise and Mammogram tech Sarah were so caring and made me feel at ease.I'm moving to Toronto soon, hope I find the same care as BC Cancer 👏👏👏
R Yensen: My husband was told he was cancer free March 20-2017. I remember how happy he was on this day. He passed June 21-2017 (three months later)It was found through a new doctor at VGH that he was FULL of cancer so NOT cancer free. Had they done a more thorough scan they would have seen it. As a result he is gone and suffered terribly at the end. The cancer agency told me that it would have been microscopic at the time. Well from what I have read over the past TORTURES two years that he could have had good results had they checked!I now raise our boys alone and my husband is gone! He didn’t want to go!
Eric Turpin: Excellent care. All the staff are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
Joshua Dods: Volunteers are very caring. They ask patients and their families if they are hungry almost every hour. Nurses are very nice too. They take good care of the patients during their difficult time.
LISA SHOARE: So good to me :)
Lawrence Kwok: I don't recommend you listen to the assessment or advice of Dr. LaVoie until you've had three other opinions.
Heather Kennedy-MacNeill: Big thanks and hugs to Dr. Diego Villa for all his superb and compassionate care, and thanks to all his colleagues and staff who have been so supportive. I can't express how comforting it has been to have such a team!
Judy JACKSON: I was at Unit C for RT for 5 weeks finishing on July 4th - I want to say right from the beginning including my CT Scan (Olivia) and PET Scan (Mary) and having met Dr. Lim, Dr. Paul Hoskins, Dr. Manacos and the staff I found everyone to be very well organized and knowledgeable at their jobs. I felt welcome and reassured by all the staff in Unit C during my RT and have not forgotten them. I feel very fortunate to have had Dr. Peter Lim as my Radiation Oncologist who did an excellent job for me setting up my treatment plan for me. I am very thankful and pleased with the results without any serious side effects.
