The provincial government has announced that people struggling with mental health and addiction will have access to more treatment and recovery beds, along with community-based aftercare services, through budget 2023 investments.

On September 20, 2022, the IFHE 2022 Global Healthcare Energy Award was recently presented to Providence Health Care, St. Vincent’s: Brock Fahrni for achieving the largest health care facility energy reduction in Canada!​

In 2020, under the direction of Tony Munster, Executive Director, Projects, Planning & Facilities Management, a decision was made to implement a cooling system at St. Vincent’s: Brock Fahrni.

The goal of this new system? To improve resident comfort and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions at PHC.

The stories were so important and made me realize how injuries can occur unexpectedly.

I am thankful to be exposed to this information because your safety is key. Also not a lot of people take that seriously so knowing that there is help and ways to prevent unsafe work was very important. And it is important to give reminders to everyone about this goal.

That you can always call WorksafeBC for help and it can be anonymous. Never work alone or in an unsafe environment. Working is not just about money but it's about safety and care.

The most important things from this workshop were understanding the traumatic experiences others have dealt with in a workplace. Even from simply doing a job like a food truck at the PNE. Which lead me to the conclusion of realizing just how important I must prioritize my safety within a workplace. Also using the rights I learned I have to avoid any dangerous situations such as the ones I learned about.
