Alexander Academy: what do users think?
Will Chin: Graduating Student of 2022 - 2023 here, I would like to start off by saying that I had the privilege of learning here at Alexander Academy for both grades 11 and 12. I would describe Alexander Academy as an environment that is welcoming, supportive and determined to help you succeed. I found that in my time here, I got the help that I needed to help me succeed and to grow into a person that I can be proud of his accomplishments. Another thing I’d like to comment on is the connections and relationships that students here at Alexander Academy form with their teachers, is something you won’t find at most other schools, it is truly something special.
Safina Merchant: Studying at Alexander Academy is a great experience for me. I really like the environment over here, teachers who are always helpful and are willing to answer any questions you have. Students here are from all countries, which makes it much better to know people across the world. The staff is amazing, the teaching and learning method is put out for students perfectly. It's the best high school in Downtown, Vancouver!
Clair Choufani: In 2021, I joined Parent Advisory Council (PAC) at Alexander Academy. I was a member for 2 years.I had the chance to get to know teachers and other school staff through PAC. Additionally, it enabled me to express my opinions, give back, and participate whenever feasible in school-related activities. It was a fantastic way to stay involved and informed about all the current/future events/activities at school. I also was able to meet other parents and interact with them. One of the most significant benefits of being a PAC member for me was that it enabled me to serve as a positive role model for my daughter by volunteering and showing appreciation for the school.Giving back to the staff and students of the school was a wonderful experience for me. If parents wish to get more involved in their children's education, I encourage them to participate as well.
emaelena: Amazing school! Loved my time here so much. Teachers are extremely dedicated, welcoming, friendly and are great at explaining and teaching in various methods. Students are passionate and energetic and make the campus feel like a very safe place. Going to school in Downtown Vancouver is a cool experience.
Linda Petersson: We can highly recommend Alexander Academy for anyone considering placing their child abroad at an international High School. We are a Swedish family and our daughter experienced a fantastic year in Vancouver thanks to the professional teachers, excellent staff and great students that quickly included her and they became new friends, some of them for life I ’m sure.We experienced the best service from the very first contact. Starting with a professional interview between the school and parents/student, great information were given upon starting school and moving to a new country learning new custums, this was very helpful for a student.Through out the year academically, we were satisfied as well as with our daughter self-development progress. We were very impressed with how quick the school where able to switch into online-learning during the COVID-19 situation. Our daughter managed to achieve her goals even what struggle the Corona- pandemic brought us all, for that we will always be grateful to the staff of Alexander Academy and their excellent job with their students. We will truly give them our highest recommendations!!Kind regards,Mrs Linda PeterssonMother of Luna Petersson, Class of 2020
Lyazzat K: An amazing school with students all over the world. Lovely place to study and to have an unforgettable experience.
Focus Onfootball: Love ❤️
Ivan: i saw ur ad. very cool
Joanna Vancouver: Alexander Academy is a wonderful place for local as well as international students to study. The smaller class sizes allow for excellent attention to each student. There are many field trips and opportunities to connect with the community. The school also offers great support to students who are learning English. It is located in a beautiful building in a central location right in the heart of Vancouver.
Liz Prehauser: A life-changing experience. We feel no less than this when we see the changes in our son. From improved grades to a positive outlook, self-esteem and confidence. At Alexander Academy our son is flourishing and is happy. Next year our daughter will attend for sure. The teachers are also wonderful and very dedicated and we feel fortunate to have found this school.

Columbia Academy (Downtown Vancouver): what do users think?
Henry: 1 star is too much. At that time, the tuition fee was paid, and I was not given a course arrangement. The teacher and the principal ignored the school that specialized in cheating money, so I went to this school.

Mr.: A school that inspired me to aim higher and do better. Thank you CA !

Fraser Academy: what do users think?
MasonYuan personal: Worst place I’ve ever attended
Liam MacDonald: I love school because of Fraser academy =]
Alison Richardson: Our son went to Fraser Academy from Grade 3 to Grade 12.... our experience at the school was exceptional.... from day one he, as well as us, his parents, received both the academic and emotional support that we needed for him to excel in all areas of his education. He graduated over 10 years ago from Fraser Academy... attended university and now is an elementary school teacher there.
Bannister Bergen: My son lives with ADHD & Dyslexia. In public school he struggled to keep up with the rest of the class. Placing a pencil in his hand and asking him to write was akin to torture, as it challenged both his ADHD and dyslexia simultaneously. He would suffer from anxiety nightly at the thought of returning to school the next day. Fraser Academy changed all of that. Within a month of attending Fraser, his attitude towards school has done a 180. And within a year he was writing beyond his grade level. The teachers and staff have all proved to be incredible. The price is steep, and writing a tuition cheque is painful, but you get the quality you pay for, and the peace of mind of knowing your child won't be left behind.
Kim&Marek: We attended Fraser for 2 years. The teachers were constantly turning over and told me to my face in from of their superiors, that they could only teach to the majority of the class and not to the individual IEPs. Contrary to the poster in their elevator. There was only 5 kids in the classroom, how can you not accommodate to the 2 anxious children not learning? Meeting with teachers were spent comforting them as they always seemed on the verge of panicking. Technology was denied to my child despite his Phycologists note. They insisted my Anxious child perform in from of the whole school even though it meant he had to miss months of school due to his anxiety, and us having meetings about it. Plus he was bullied every single day brutally until he became depressed. My child’s education feel horribly behind at Fraser. They will sell you something and never deliver.
Ailene Buhler: Being trained in O-G with Fraser Academy has saved me teaching time from scrambling for online resources or going through basal reading programs to learn how to address my students with reading difficulties. My training is helping me tap into my own level of creativity with a multi-sensory approach that is much more brain-based. I'm realizing that "a program" isn't always the go-to resource for efficient literacy lessons. Sometimes the supplies and resources we take for granted are actually much more successful than investing in the "latest" and "newest" digital programs.I’m a much more resourceful teacher in finding simple tools to teach a concept that doesn't always involve fancy gadgets. For instance, using mini colour coded blocks to help a child spell and apply their knowledge of consonants and vowels has proven to be more engaging for a student than sitting in front of a computer or iPad. O-G should be a requirement for beginning teachers as it teaches the foundation of literacy.
nathan whyte: Fraser is the worst school I've ever been to. While at Fraser I would hate going to school. The staff didn't help since they gave me wrong advice on what classes to take for the program I wanted to go into in university. Due to Fraser's advice, I was not able to get into the program I wanted because after I left Fraser I realized that I didn't have some of the prerequisites to get into the courses I wanted. The people running the school are delusional and will fire anyone who even thinks about giving an argument that doesn't completely agree with what they think. Tutoring at Fraser is also useless and the majority of my grade at least, never went to tutoring since it was more useful to do homework for classes that actually mattered. If Fraser had math tutoring it would be way more useful but in the state it is in right now, you would be better off just getting a tutor once or twice a week in the subject that your struggling in. Overall, Fraser Academy is a terrible school that is more concerned about their reputation then their students.
sean: Good school i like the learing progrume fnu i thinc im smartter now
CaraLynne McLean: From the initial interview, to our 3rd year at Fraser Academy, we are beyond grateful to have found such a unique learning environment that allows our child to grow and learn and become all he can be. The head of school, admin, teachers and all support staff are top notch, genuine caregivers, who know how to reach children, meet them where they are at, and draw out their unique strengths. Highly recommend this Academy.
jross: My son has attended Fraser Academy for the past 5 years and it has been everything of a positive experience that somehow has gotten better with each passing year! The Head of School, Department Heads, Teaching Staff and Supports are of high caliber and are excellent role models for the students that surround them each day. They approach teaching from A PERSPECTIVE THAT SHOULD BE A REQUIREMENT IN ALL MAINSTREAM AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS. This school goes above and beyond in their quest to become better in everything they deliver and realize that it is actually the students who help make that happen. They don’t “teach at” their students; they “work with” them to accomplish grades and goals. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to offer my son the educational experience that Fraser Academy does.
Aryelah Chaya Simon: I love this school!! I have attended the school since the fourth grade, it has given me the tools to become anything I want to be. Also, the teachers here are absolutely outstanding and extremely supportive! Not to sugarcoat it though, I have still had my fair share of struggles, and that is just a part of life but I have learned how to overcome them.If my parents had not made the difficult decision to move me out of my old school and to Fraser Academy, I really don’t know where I’d be in my life.So thank you to all my incredible teachers, tutors, and especially to my parents for giving me a second shot in life.Really going to miss this place when I graduate!Sincerely,Aryelah
jordan gardner: this place made me die and drop out of high school for a bit 10/10 best school everBtw mr chyzik if u see this do u remember when I just left ur math class for like 3 weeks in a row now that was epicAnd I heck with the cloud lounge
Leah McIntyre: Our son is in his 3rd year at Fraser Academy and it has been nothing but a positive experience. Before attending FA, our son was nowhere close to reading a grade level, was extremely frustrated, and suffered greatly from low self esteem and social isolation in the public system. We noticed a significant change within a few months of attending FA. The teachers work hard to build confidence and skill sets for the students to take with them as they become more independent. We are always in awe of how engaged our 13 year old is in his school work and are so grateful to have found a school that cares so very much about these brilliant students who struggle to fit into the public stream. I would HIGHLY recommend Fraser Academy to any parent wising to offer their child a supportive experience where they can grow academically and beyond.
Iris Day: Our Son attended Fraser Academy from grade 6-12. He is now working toward his kinesiology degree and stays in touch with many of his friends in universities across Canada, the U.S, and locally. Many of us make major financial sacrifices to send students here and wish there was more funding available, more locations and More Fraser! Specifically : amazing orton-gillingham tutors, engaging emotionally intelligent teachers who work very hard because they believe in what they do: literacy, composition, camps and regular field trips, arts, wood shop, physical education, outdoor ed, strong science and maths for those who are inclined, public speaking and engagement with technology, small classes, the realization that many people learn differently. Dyslexics are vibrant wonderful humans when they are not crushed in the classroom. Often they end up blooming and achieving great success in adulthood! The support offered during the developmental years has been worth all the sacrifice in our case. The teachers and staff here go out of their way to keep it real, focus on positives and generate results. Fraser is not perfect but no school is and it is filled with life and a variety of clubs and programs that enable each child to be supported as a whole person. Rather than hiding in the classroom and feeling like less... This school also allows parents to focus on their life and careers and gave us the freedom to enjoy and support our child rather than trying to teach him to read or write. I wish every parent with a child who is struggling could send their child to a place like this and that the province would pay for it!! Best to all.
Kees Poulus: This school is amazing for what it does! As an alumni, I have many great memories of my time attending. Fraser acadamy gave me tools and skills to cope with my learning challenges that ultimately lead to a successful education. In my experience, fraser acadamy should compliment a "regular" education instead of supplement for it. The small class sizes and attentive teachers work well to help guide students through educational difficulties. I beleive the ultimate goal for students should be to gain skills to walk through life without hindrance due to learning challenges, in fact to thrive despite them. My only word of warning is that, due to the small class sizes and educational emphasis, social, physical, and "life" problems are more difficult to navigate. In my experience, it takes a well rounded child to thrive. This is only my experience.
Jacquie Stebbings: The only place to truly help your kids with learning disabilities.
Geoff Mair: This is an amazing school where kids are given a chance to excel and be successful. For us it was very worth the considerable expense.
Chris Motiu: The admin team and the teachers at Fraser Academy are amazing. They do care about the kids and go out of their way to ensure the children's safety and overall well-being. Most grade 12 students at Fraser get accepted into fantastic university programs, and the percentage of students who do continue with post-secondary studies are much higher at Fraser Academy than most other similar schools in the province.
Jackson: this problematic school is bigoted and doesn't allow diversity, it is truly an out rage!!!!
Kristin Shaban: I will never recommend anyone to take the OG program through Fraser Academy. In the beginning of the course, I had told the teacher, Heather, I cant get to school before 845am due to the ferries not having any earlier sailings. I had told her this to make sure she understood my situation. Heather told me that it was perfectly fine and they would move things around to make it work. I was doing over hours of commute every single Saturday for this program. In the beginning of the program, she told all of the students that we would all pass. As the program went on, I noticed the teacher being very unorganized, and rushed many things expecting us to understand completely. The mentors that were watching over us as we tutored each other did things differently then the teacher. Which was very difficult to process when you are learning new things.Through the drills, She told us that we have to be very patient with our students and not to rush them. When she quizzed us on the drills, she was very impatient and rushed me. I spoke to a few students and they had the same experience.By the end of the program, I studied so hard for the exam. I was emailed from Heather saying that I had failed. And that I need to retake the program in the summer time. I was never given the exam back to see what I had wrong so I can learn from my mistakes. I asked her about it, so she said she would make a new exam and would send it next week. The next day, she emailed me the exam, and then said I had to send it back in 3 days. I was giving no explanation on what I had wrong before to learn how to do it right. I have spoken to a few different teachers about this, and they cannot believe how Heather has reacted.I hope this review will help other people to look into more information before signing up under this school. I would highly recommend going to any other school for the OG tutoring.

Bodwell High School: what do users think?
Viva Mexico y Iran alv
behnood gholampoor: Anxiety, stress in one package. They literally do not care about student life and mental health. As a student who was there for more than a year, i can say most of us were dealing with stress and anxiety the whole time. For a extrovert person like me Bodwell is prison.
Vicke Lash: It is very important
serenella: My daughter had a wonderful experience at Bodwell. She had the chance to meet outstanding teachers, wonderful staff and new friends from all over the world.A perfect organization, based on strict rules with a kind approach,a perfect educational setting. She will remember for ever the year spent at Bodwell.
Xin Li: good
Darren: Best school for academics!!!!! Come, if you have the money.
M E: Tuition is not cheap, but it worth!I graduated from this school in 2010s. I'm happy to see this school is expanding and offering more of programs to students from all over the world :)
soudabeh mousavi: For the past three years, my son has attended Bodwell School as an international student. Officials at the school have been accommodating and supportive throughout the process. Due to Covid 19pandemic, this was quite remarkable, and I can conceive of the following as positive aspects of this collection:well organized administrative structure, professional academic advisors, particularly Ms. Arian Talvardi (Iranian consultant), oversight of students' educational and moral concerns, and support and expert guidance for choosing a good college and excellency's unparalleled compassion, effort, and effort in education and the transfer of valuable information and experiences, as well as establishing an intimate and friendly relationship with students' seekers and creating a pleasant environment for acquiring knowledge and understanding the conditions of students last year, were greatly appreciated by my family. Finally, I'd like to express my gratitude to anyone at Bodwell High School who has supported and directed our children throughout their education, particularly Miss Talwerdi, Miss Zandi, Mr. Chaffey, Mr. Goobie, and Mr. Hallis.
Sahar Bazgir: My son has been an international student at Bodwell School for two years. School officials have guided and helped us a lot in all stages. Among the positive points of this collection, I can name the following:very regular administrative system, responsible academic advisors, especially Ms. Arian Talvardi, supervision of students' educational and moral issues, support And professional advice for choosing college and university.
Ayub Mohamed: Hi I am from Africa kenya,Their is so much poverty here . I have so much knowledge and my school is closed due to terrorism , I would like to learn in Bodwell high school if there is any space here .pleased🙏🙏
Dor Faraji: This school is totally great? I just wanted to know how much is the tuitionPlease answer me soon
Peggy: The teacher SORAYA RAJAN is the most awful teacher ever. Not only does she have no clue how to teach, she is very unprofessional, she doesn't know what she is teaching and has a clear biase and discrimination upon certain students. I was in one of her classes, and I have no idea how she managed to become a teacher in the first place, a lot of students and by a lot I can def say that almost all the students in her class have gathered together and filed a compliant(s) against her, but apperantly the school doesn't want to do anything about it. She is not good at her job at all, please sack this teacher and get a btter one
Max: !I have been studying here for 2 years! Pros of this school: A lot of professional teachers, clean, lots of space, they provide computers for those who can’t afford them. Cons: other staff doesn’t care about you, the nurse is not a professional and she doesn’t care if students are ill; I was forced to attend school with fever, students are not isolated if sick, so your child will anyways get infected along with all other students. Cleaning staff are stealing students property. Mr. Macintosh was threatening me, saying that he will “lower [my] marks”, that he “already hates [me]” and that if I will get his course in the future I would better drop it, and all of this is because I brought water on the assembly, bless god it was my last days in this school. Counselors that suppose to help young student to adapt to the environment to the most parts don’t care about students, so the poisonous environment in school is killing mental health of young generation. The school will try to pull the money out of your pockets in any way possible, for example they will charge you for the free insurance (800 bucks) (the MSP was free before 2020). And probably they won’t return your deposits.
Marimiusic Xy: Hello, my name is Fabiola and I would like to request information and requirements since I would like to study in that place and I am from El Salvador. Thank youHola . gracias
Libing Cao: The school environment is very good. A variety of facilities are available. The management here is said to be very strict. This is really helpful for students who want to improve their grades. It is close to the sea and the scenery is good. But public transportation is somewhat inconvenient. The school provides a school bus service.
Cyrus Owrangi: The boarding system provides a nurturing enviroment that paves the way for you to get your act together and discipline yourself. The community is amiable and you'll find people from all around the world in uneven porportions. It's a good choice if you have the money.
Sazzatur Zaman Ovi: I'm from Bangladesh. Can i study in this School? I want to complete my 11-12 from it. Can I do it?
Naomi Etukudo: After a few days at Bodwell, I felt right at home. Sure, different people might have different experiences but I can honestly say that some of my happiest moments in life thus far were made possible because of the 8 months I spent in Bodwell.Like anything in life, the school isn't perfect and there's always room for improvement but the experience is about what you make it. For me, it was honestly everything. From the amazing people I developed strong bonds with very quickly - students and staff included -, to the fact that they gave me the opportunity to discover my passion for volunteering and performance poetry; I will never forget my time spent there.Even when I go back to visit, it still feels like home. Sometimes, I even just call the front desk or boarding to talk to staff who have remained from when I was there and it brings me so much joy. I learned so much about myself while I was there. I cherish every moment - from hours spent after school with Miss Jinny, Miss Amber, and Miss Bailey at the front desk, to deep, self-reflective, fun conversations with Miss Mercedes and Miss Dalziel, and being genuinely interested (which rarely happens for me) in classes with Mr. Chiu and Mr. McMurray. So, for all the unforgettable moments, I really appreciate all the staff at Bodwell and all my amazing friends who have graduated or still go there.
Mark - Slava Ukraine: Yo guys school is actually lit
Alex Shahbazfar: Bodwell has been one of the most valuable experiences for me in my life. It has helped me meet a great number of amazing people-student peers, teachers, counselors, and so on. Personally, the citizenship office at Bodwell is my home. Ms. May and Ms. Mercedes are always there to help you with WHATEVER that is going on in your life besides academics they can help you highlight and discover your aptitudes in the community and in your own life. The student counselors in bodwell are really amazing— Ms. Kim and Ms. Dalziel have always helped me in selecting my courses, finding the right universities, and guiding me in and about my academic career. My teachers were absolutely wonderful, they were all experienced and educated in the field they were teaching and I always enjoyed staying after school or after class to talk to discuss with them class non-relevant matters and I have gained so many insights and perspectives in doing so. I have made so many best friends and have learned so much about different cultures around the world, including my own.

LaSalle College Vancouver: what do users think?
Komalpreet Kaur: Really disappointing experience with this college. I’m trying to call them from last week neither they are answering my call properly ,nor they are replying to my any mail😵.
Eva Braam: Good food, and absolutely outstanding hosting 10/10
Sofia Prado: Really disappointing experience. They sell the idea of preparing students for outside opportunities and a chance to network with industry which was never true. 7 months prior to graduation, and many students (including myself) are unemployed. Unfair that they only care about the money. I never felt a supportive environment during my studies neither after graduation.
jagraj singh 0190: Its really awesome all the staff is very respectful and helps me in very polite way
Debs WC: Their agent on WhatsApp is very rude, I am only asking just to make sure that everything I need to know before applying is correct, but the person got annoyed by my questions. Very unprofessional. Take down your WhatsApp if you do not want questions and inquiries from future applicants.
Daljeet Singh: Scam college
nhạc sàn hay: Never recommend this school for fashion design studying. This school will put u in a passive position that u have to cope with quick and superficial lectures with unreasonable tuition fees.
Duaa Yamani: I am a fashion student and would like to mention about our best draping teacher(Julia) she is knowledgeable, professional and always trying to teach us different techniques and ways to do creative fashionThank you JuliaAlso would like to mention about the receptionist and person who works in the book store are super friendly and always available to helpThank you
Alex Alex: By far, the best media arts and design school!
Manjot kaur: Best College!
Jun Yu: 再多一眼看一眼就会爆炸自信一点靠近点快被融化
Ben Wang: 这是什么?
曹震宇: 我是 你的,你是 我的谁
Eddy Liu: 你干嘛~诶呦~
Huang Alex: 小黑子露出鸡脚了吧!
Tommy Wong: 迎面走来的你让我如此蠢蠢欲动
Wenhan Xiao: 乱搞名称的人真缺德
JINFENG ZHANG: Can I see iKun here?
gustavo sdjgjsdfjd: It’s supposed to be open during sundays but they are very often opening late and not telling students, i just have sundays for working on most of my assignments and this does not help at all.
AJ Maybe: Great school! Teachers are friendly and open to help, and I find the environment quite welcoming.
madison jarvis: Great school if your looking for smaller class sizes and one-on-one learning experience.Starbucks is just across the street which is great when I need an energy-boost.I am half way through my Architecture and Interior Design Degree, and from my experience what I can say is you will get what you put into it.If you are a hard worker and you strive for success... that will be recognized amongst the instructors and they will do everything and anything to help.If you want to do the bare minimum and "get by" well then, sorry... this isn't the industry for you because its very competitive and requires hard work, haha.If you're the kind of person who has leadership qualities and would like to be involved in the student life on campus then I recommend that you join the Student Representative Committee. When I was reading through the previous comments from 2+ years ago (this was before my time), I can honestly say that from my experience I can't agree or relate to anything that those people were concerned about. The school switched ownership years ago and as a result many things have improved.
