Good Boy Collective: what do users think?
Meagan S: The cutest doggo store with quality, trendy items. Placed a large order online, and everything was better than I imagined! Will definitely shop here again.
christopher clark: Worth the time...
Brandon Ng: Got lots of high quality and unique things for your pup. Nice interior, good selection, and friendly & helpful staff. Their custom long leashes are also very good quality. Wished their store was even larger!
Nikki Stephenson: They said I was lying in an email about a defective item & then ignored my response. Poor customer service speaks wonders - I wouldn’t buy from them.
Jen Woloski: Great little pet boutique shop, they had a little bit of everything for your furry friends
Lucy Gregory: Love this store!! The staff are incredibly helpful and remember my dogs name from the first time I mentioned it before even picking her up. I always feel so welcome and they’ve been so sweet with my dog when she’s nervous about being in the store. They are very supportive of female owned, BIPOC owned, companies and so you know that the money you’re spending goes to multiple small businesses, which feels great! Love them.
Kyle Legare: Hands down my favourite pet store in Vancouver.Great staff and they always have the best accessories to outfit your dog with. After a few trips you'll start to notice their gear on so many different pooches in Mt Pleasant.Attached is my dog rocking her multi-coloured harness from Good Boy Collective
Henry Truong: Great selection of modern dog supplies to spoil your pup.
PJ Sidhu: The staff is knowledgeable and so friendly! The overall store aesthetic is adorable and the store is very clean. The products are all very good quality and I have a great appreciation for the all-natural aspect of the treats and food.
Hannah H: Ordered online for pick up in store - easy transaction and 2 very friendly staff working that day compared to a couple other times I've been there where they were not as welcoming. Got my dog a long line from the Good Boy collection, love it so far!
Grace Xiao: My dog will love it.
Hong Nguyen: I had the best experience with my online order a few months back. I had an issue with my order and needed to get it corrected and the communication great. Dayandra was empathetic to my situation and provided a quick answers to my questions. They carry quality products and have fantastic service. Would highly recommend anyone to purchase from them!
Nicola Kong: The best dog shop in Vancouver! The shop is so lovely, all the products are so unique and adorable, and the staff is so welcoming and kind!Since moving out of Vancouver, we don’t have the opportunity to come in as much and I’ve been using their online shop more and more, and they’re so great even there! Quick and efficient getting our products mailed!Highly recommend both their in store and online shop! 5 stars!
Weber Chen: bring our first corgi puppy Toffy there today for helping us putting a harness for our puppy! Great Customer Service and lots of good toys and supplies! My wife and I will definitely come back more often!
Adrienne Rademaker: My favourite pet store. They have the cutest pet supplies, and bulk treats/food. Great customer service!
Lori Lourens (Lori.L): Wow! Super cute store and great quality items. The washable leashes are amazing! The girls at the store were kind and patient as I asked a lot of questions.Lol. I met the owner and she was delightful and accommodating. This is my new go to dog supply store.
Joel Hansen: Amazing shop and staff! The shop is a nice change from the all too familiar big box/chain pet stores, in an area of town that calls for it. Whether it be product knowledge while in to make a purchase, or just saying hi to your dog because you've been dragged in by leash. I've taken my parents in to shop while in town from out of province for their dog, as well as friends, and would recommend to any one who cares about their dog and wants to treat them as such!
Max Chesnut: If I could give 0 stars I would. My partner and I ordered a dog bed online for pick up in store around the end of November/beginning of December 2021. The bed was shipped to us by mistake and we received it on December 12th. We opened the packaging and realized the bed was too small for our dog. The very next day of receiving the bed we called the store and asked if it was okay to exchange the bed for a larger size. The woman on the phone said no problem and to come in “any time” never specifying a return policy for this exchange. On January 4th 2022 we did just that. When we walked in and explained our situation, the woman said that the bed “appeared to be used” before she had even looked at it or opened the packaging up. She then explained that their return policy is one week after purchase. When we tried explaining that we had called previously and spoken to someone who told us to bring it in ANY TIME and never told us anything about their return policy over the phone, she rudely interrupted us and told us that she “didn’t need our attitude” and that if we would “just let her finish” she would make an “exception” to the return policy after she realized the bed had in fact NOT been used. In our conversation with her we were not being rude or confrontational, in fact SHE was the one being rude and interrupting us when we were trying to explain our situation. After, she made an “exception” and gave us a gift card for the amount of the bed saying that the larger size won’t be available until February, which we were already aware of and totally fine with. When providing the return receipt she intentionally folded it up many times and sent us on our way. Once we got to our car flabbergasted by our interaction with her, we looked at the receipt and saw in big letters “RETURN POLICY **HOLIDAY EXTENSION: Gifts can be exchanged until JAN 4th 2022**” We feel that her attitude was extremely unnecessary, unprofessional, and hostile; especially since we were allowed to return the item with their holiday extension still in place. We didn’t even want a refund, we wanted to spend even more money on the larger size. From this experience we will never recommend Good Boy Collective to anyone again and will never return back to the store due to poor customer service, over priced items, and their lack of clear communication with customers. The reason we waited so long to write this review is because we feared retaliation, and unfortunately needed to use the gift card. The bed we wanted is still not in stock.
Laura Trivett: Cute, good quality stuff in this shop! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Will be back for sure!
Julia Cristofaro: My husband and I have been coming to good boy since we got our puppy in August 2021. After our recent visit, we will no longer return due to an extremely rude staff member. Other reviews seem to write similar comments of a very unwelcoming atmosphere. Products are alright but selection is limited and marked up like crazy! We were willing to spend the money and support a small business, but being verbally attacked by a staff member is where we draw the line.
Ryan Fong: Good products, extremely high markups. Customer service and care should be improved. Would not advise to visit business as there are other nearby options which are superior

Dashing Dawgs Grooming & Boutique: what do users think?
Nat D: Positive:Professionalism,ReliabilityCan’t say enough about Seana and her team at Dashing Dawgs! I’ve been bringing my fur baby to them for several years now, and I’ve received nothing but stellar service! In addition, both their specialty services - Japanese scissor cuts, and non-sedation teeth cleaning are truly exceptional, and I highly recommend them!! 🐶🐾 ✨✂️
Honey: I absolutely love this groomer. Mika does an amazing job with my dog every time. I highly recommend coming here to groom your dog!
Teacher Jane: *Thank you for your reply and explanation. I was not asked to provide a picture, I asked for the top of his head to be left alone, I asked for a few things that was all met with direct nods and understanding AND never communicated to me anything about my dog’s hair texture so please do not gaslight with “YOU NEEDED” communication and understanding was a clear issue here. It’s up to your business to take the feedback and do something or not, but as a customer it’s important for me to let others know. I should’ve listened more to the warning of others and not been so open minded to try. Sorry things didn’t work out.I heard great reviews on this grooming place and some not, so I decided to have an open mind and see for myself. I gave clear instructions, took my time to explain everything with full on nods and understanding from the groomer but I realize now, English is not the groomers first language so instructions fell by the wayside. When I mentioned after why “this and this” wasn’t done, it was like he heard it for the first time.On the plus side, it was easy to make an appointment online, staff are very friendly and if you don’t care what cut your pup gets then this is a great place. For me, paying top dollars for a groom, I assume I’m going to a steakhouse instead of Macdonald’s. Unfortunately not the place for my pup.
Laura Croft: My dog had her first groom here and she looks amazing! She was nervous because she has separation anxiety, but all the of the staff were so friendly and understanding. A cute boutique shop where I will continue going while I live here. I have already booked my second appointment, I wish I knew about it sooner as well because they carry great food and treats you don't see everywhere as a nice bonus :)
Mahshid Zandian: I absolutely adore my dog groomer “David”! His attention to detail and care for my furry friend is unparalleled. I always leave feeling confident that my dog is not only looking his best, but feeling his best too. Thank you for your excellent service David🐶
nipinshirt: Cute store but very limited inventory for cats!
Mariko Makela: Seana and Maki are very friendly and so knowledgeable! Definitely recommend!
Diana Fontaine: Orchid & Allie love Maki, their neighbourhood friend and groomer at Dashing Dawgs!
Ron Duffy: Jenny was great with my little fearful dog. We dropped in for a nail trim; it was our first time there. I had an appointment booked for December and Jenny suggested I cancel it and just bring our girl in for nail and bottom trims until she is less fearful. She also mentioned the best way to wash her and to give her treats as I touch her feet. Looking forward to seeing Jenny in 3 weeks.
Joanne Duffy: Jenny gave me a few tips on how to train my rescue for her next nail trim at Dashing Dog. Excellent, kind and gentle care and very much appreciated by me and my nervous best friend.
Clay Brandao: Welcoming staff, well-organized place with many options of pet food and supplies. Dental and grooming services are also top notch. I would highlight David's work, he is very friendly, kind, and an extremely talented and experienced groomer. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves their pets and wants the best of the best for them!
Mélanie Presseault: Excellent service and groomer! Our dog always looks amazing and relaxed when she comes back !
Denby Greenslade: Maki is the best, we wouldn't want anyone else. Aurora loves her.
cheri Carey: I just love the grooming services for my dog Tiger.
K: Jenny is amazing! She is so patience and gentle with my puppy. I will continue to go to her! :)
Sunny Chung: I have been taking my dog since she was a puppy.  My dog tends to get anxious, but Maki, the groomer, always make sure my dog is comfortable.  When my dog was a puppy, Maki played with her for 30 minutes to bond with her first.  I trust Maki so much, and I appreciate her loving and compassionate approach to dogs. 💓
Eliott Wilkes: David is great with our 65 lb dog.
Betty McAinsh: Excellent service. Bobby loves his experience. We are always satisfied.
Deb: We are so grateful our precious pup ‘Molly’ is cared for so well at Dashing Dawgs!Maki does a beautiful job, and Molly loves her!
Susan: I went for a walk in, and they took us right away. Which was nice.I mentioned my dogs tricky dew claw that needs special attention. When he came out he of his appointment, he had blood coming from that spot, the technician didnt mention it, there was no powder to help it. A dremol should have been used to care for the tricky nail, things happen but it should have been mentioned post appointmentWon't be coming back here.
Sabina Freiman: Ozzie’s first time at Dashing Dawgs was excellent. Maki really listened to my requests and even took notes and clarified to make sure she understood what we were looking for. She made suggestions for the final look, and later gave us suggestions for brushing at home based on my expressed issues. She kindly took a video to show me how Ozzie behaved during the appointment as I didn’t know what she’s like, and she looked so comfortable and happy, even during the tough parts. When we came to pick her up, Ozzie wasn’t trying to run out the door, which is a great sign. Full groom and dematting took 3 hours as promised, and cost on the higher end of the spectrum, but was well worth it!

The Granville Island Pet Treatery: what do users think?
Kate GE: Nice place to get some treats for my dog. It’s located in Granville Island, nearby the kids market. My dog enjoy the dried sardines and the bacon biscuits most.
Julianne Keu: Came here on a whim the other day with my dog; restocked on a couple necessities and picked up a bag of treats. The clerk was lovely and offered my dog a treat. However, what has led me to write this review is this: after I got home, I realized how HIGH the QUALITY of my purchase was and how LOW it all came to be. I mean, what more could you ask for?? I will now make it an effort to shop here more frequently!
Joey C: Tiny little shop but had everything you could want for your pet. Even offered a free treat for your pup if you bring him inside. Treats we grabbed were reasonably priced and got a little ball toy. Friendly associate who answered our questions about the treats. Explained why there is whey in the treats to fluff them up.So opted for the treats with less ingredients and whey free.
Ashley: Cute little pet store! When I say little, I mean it is very small. They had a great selection of pet treats, cookies, and toys. My pup loved the treats I got from here.
M Y Deveau: Absolutely fabulous place!! My dogs love their treats. Prices are reasonable. Give them a try!!
Jennifer Franker: I gave my dog about 5 of your treats and he had a severe allergic reaction. I took the bag to the vet with me only for them to point out that garlic powder is one of the ingredients. Considering you solely make treats for pets you would think you’d be aware of the fact that garlic, garlic powder and anything garlic related is toxic to dogs. I would recommend removing this ingredient to avoid this situation with others. I’ve mentioned this to a few people I know and when they checked their treats (some for cats as well) garlic powder was an ingredient in theirs also. Super disappointing and about $300 at the vet that in all reality I feel you should be reimbursing.
Jolene Stahn: Love this unique little pet treat store!
Janet Nieves: Bella (my mini poodle) is in love with her new collar! It's made in Canada and the design looks very Canadian. Posh, outdoorsy and extra special. It kind of reminds me of Christmas from afar but closer up the floral design is quite beautiful. For Theo (my border Collie) I chose homemade Wild Cod dried training treats. These are really high reward treats for your pup. The smell is strong and will get their attention easily. Both of them were very happy and obedient with these ones.I stumbled into the Pet Treatery while strolling around the island. The shop is small, picturesque, and has really great accessories. I was sad to be on this trip without my dogs and when I came into this shop I knew this was the best shop to bring a little bit of Canada back to them!
Lysa M: Adorable pet store in a old train cart I believe. The person was very nice and helpful and the selection was good. A small place, but I managed to get something for my pet before traveling back home to Toronto.
Connor Rosine: Get pet treats and more!
Shulamie Lee: Horrible customer service. We've been here a few times and noticed the man at the front counter (assuming this is the owner?) would only stare at us and wouldn't speak to us while chatting it up with other non-asian customers. Our dog was also never given a treat despite free treats being advertised on their sign outside, other dogs in the shop receiving treats, and us being patrons of the shop. Finally, today my elderly in-laws were spoken to very condescendingly when they made conversation about the sardine prices. Though not spoken outright, the entire family could sense an undertone of dislike and racism. The only one who left happy was our dog as we'd bought her an XL bag of sardines for the very last time.
Arash Sanati: Delusions and high quality treats for your pets! Bring your pet inside for a delicious treat.
Kevin Allen: I rescued a cat from the ASPCA. His name is Tater. He loves fish treats. I didn’t realize that I made a mistake with my order and customer service worked with me to correct it. Again it was my mistake. So far he loves the cod and the tuna flakes. Quality products and excellent customer service. I highly recommend. If you see their treats in your local store, grab them. Your pet will love them.
Katie Elizabeth: We stopped in to get our dog some treats (he loves them)! The owner was very friendly and helpful.
Paul Ambrose Lythgo: A cute little store with lots of interesting treats and toys. The owner is very friendly and helpful.
Sunny kim: Horrible customer service 😔
Bryan Atkins: A great selection of quality dog treats
Grace C: Will be back! Was assisted by a very nice gentlemen - and they have such an array of treats for all types of dogs!
Rob Trendiak: Super cool dog treat store on Granville Island! Wonderful staff! I love how it's on the train car! So cool! We will definitely be back 😊
Ms-S Van: Really nice gentleman that works here. My dog loves him and he was knowledgable about treats and health issues. He gave her some treats. Now she always wants to go in every time we walk past!

West Boulevard Veterinary Clinic: what do users think?
P Y: They have helped me and my dogs for over 10 years. They are both caring and compassionate.I've always felt comfortable coming here and so have my 4 legged friends.
Linney Sylvester: Excellent; rabbit savvy. I really wish they ran some kind of emergency extension/on call service, but that's wishful thinking in a stupid world. I highly recommend if u own a rabbit, it's diffuclt to find exotic vets in Van. So far I have always felt treated fairly and with care. Friendly front stand, pleasant on the phone, and caring vets. Recommend.Went for my bun's yearly check up. He is very healthy and was taken great care of by the vet. Excellent staff.
Zal Saper: We have been bringing our bunnies to West Boulevard for years. Excellent care during this most recent visit, as always! Many thanks to the excellent vets and staff there!
A.L. Smithe: West Boulevard vet has been taking care of my cat for 10+ years. Dr. Rurak has been great and all the receptionists have been absolutely amazing, including Kathy, Erin, and Mandy, except for one of the receptionists, Evelyn. She’s one of the newer receptionists I believe, which is why I’m giving them 2 stars (I'm sorry WBVC team). Evelyn is really rude and has no compassion or patience - when you’re calling in about your sick pet and you’re already super worried, she’ll only make your day worse. She’ll interrupt you as you speak and will make you feel like you’re a bother. I hope your call doesn’t get greeted by her because trust me, she’ll make you feel terrible (though she might change her attitude after reading this review - which I sure hope she does, for the sake of the other clients). Thank you Dr. Rurak, Kathy, Mandy, and Erin for taking wonderful care of my pet - you guys are the truly the best.
Tracey Gong: Dr. Solomon has taken care of our Lacey for several years. She is super knowledgeable and reliable!
Douglas Ramsden: Great people and always great with our cat and dog
Sonya Durante: They are the best for my bunny, so thorough, Clearly experts & always so gentle and caring. 💜
Wendy Smith: Simply the best!
Milena Venancio: UPDATE: Can’t recommend Dr. Rurak and Dr. Solomon enough. Such sweet, professional and caring people. I feel my cats are in good hands with them. I only recommend to book your appointment in advance because they’re usually pretty busy (which is understandable!)-They are taking all the covid precautions and took a good care of Isaura, my persian cat. I am really pleased with the experience and already making plans to book an appointment for my other cat :)
Thomas Powell: So gentle and caring with my bunnies. Thanks wbv!!
Betty Nemet: Our boy Bill, aka 'Sweet Billy,' ( he's a cat, but we don't tell him that!) is a very loved & precious member of our family! At West Boulivard Vets, We are very sure Bill receives not only the very best care & attention possible, but the care is given with much love & adoration! Bill's last appt with Sarah, was a very good & positive experience, filled with great care, loving affection & gratitude! Bill says..' thank you Sarah! I love you & look forward to seeing you again, not too long from now!' 💕 💞 ♥️ 🐾 😻
Tracy Huitika: Everyone from the front line staff to the vets are stellar. Everyone remembered me and my pets, and even asked about my family. They took amazing care of my buns throughout their entire lives and when it was time to say goodbye, they were supportive and empathetic throughout the entire process, accommodating me with appointment changes when I wasn’t ready and squeezing me in when it was time. They sent me a sympathy card for each passing that every staff member signed. Incredible care both professionally and personally!
jessiemarie deplissey: The vets and the vet-techs are caring professionals. I can't imagine any better care!
Yin Huang: My Rabbits, Tibbers, Pekoe and Poppy have been patients for quiet a few years. Dr. Potter and Dr. Rurak has given my pets exceptional care. Her staff are caring and compassionate and have a can do attitude. There has been a two emergencies with my buns where I had to take them in within 24 hours and luckily they were able to board them and tend to them when they can. I would highly recommend booking in advance to ensure a slot as they are heavily booked.Thank you West Boulevard Team!! The community is so appreciative to have you.
Arly Akman: Very angry and disappointed that Dr. Rurak was not there when mydog was in dire need of care and euthanasia. My dog was her patient for 14 years and attended their daycare on a weekly basis yet she would not see her for 5 days and I had to go elsewhere to have my beloved companion euthanized later that evening. No compassion whatsoever!
Jen Johnson: The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. All our concerns and questions were answered and we felt that our dog has been cared for and his needs met more than 100%! I also appreciated the reminder for our annual check up via text message, it made it very convenient for me to book an appointment.
Charlene Hsia: Dr. Rurak and all the staff at West Boulevard Vet Clinic are nothing but compassionate, professional and kind. Vet visits can be scary and anxiety-inducing--my dog Bobo has had a few health issues the past few years and they have always treated us with patience and top-notch medical attention. They are efficient at booking/taking appointments and everyone is so friendly and gives us as pet parents a total peace of mind.I couldn't recommend this vet clinic enough!
Beth Greer Pierre Gaulupeau: This is a fantastic team! My dogs have been coming here since 1968 for a reason. The vets are knowledgeable, compassionate and sensible. My bills seem to be reasonable, even modest compared to other vets. Above all the dogs, and the humans, have been treated with so much kindness that this is one of my favourite places in the city!
SweetYellow101: I have been taking my cats to West Boulevard Vet for 20 years. They listen to the owner and never try to pressure or upsell me on treatments/food.
anzelle binks: Amazing vet and amazing staff, they have always been so kind and considerate to me and my animals. They have treated my dwarf rabbit Tino and my hedgehog amazingly over the past few years.Above and beyond patient care and customer service, they have a genuine care for all of their patients / owners, whole staff is amazing. Many times they have explained or given advice over the phone/ email when they were unable to squeeze me in short notice. They have always been very patient answering any questions i’ve had, even when they were busy and didn’t have to do so.Great vets are hard to come by, Especially for exotic animals. I have always and will continue to recommend them. Thank you WB team for everything you do! We appreciate you 💗
Bryan Sauder: This is the best vet! Their kind and professional care shows in my dog & cat’s excitement upon arrival. Gone are the days of dragging your shaking animal to receive care. Phoebe (dog) and Stella absolutely love going here! They go above and beyond to help, providing compassionate and honest advice sometimes even over the phone if they can’t fit us in. In these days of veterinary care being hard to come by, I can’t thank them enough for their reassurance and guidance. They consistently go above and beyond expectations. This vet is a true gem and I can’t speak more highly about the staff. Thank you WB Vets, we feel lucky to have you care for our animals.

Yaletown Pet Hospital: what do users think?
Summer Khan: Great place. Super caring and got us in last minute. However we just have to wait 2 weeks for our angel boys ashes. If it wasn't for that it would definitely be a 5 star
Inés Iwadare: Very professional
Sou O apocalipse Maninho: We chose this clinic based on the good reviews. I have to say we are not disappointed. They exceeded our expectations. They are very nice and friendly and their prices are much lower than other clinics in the area.
Matheson Murray: Staff are super helpful and lovely. You can tell they really care about every creature who visits.
Mike: Total money grab! Informed us that our 8 week old puppy has a level 2 murmur and his narrow base canine needs to be removed asap but first we need to do a heart scan costing $2000Want to another vet- No murmur, he is 11 weeks now and was informed that the canine was nothing to worry about yetPlease do you and your pet a favor and avoid this money hungry place
Trisha Husmillo: MONEY GRABBER AND TOTALSCAM! Stay away from this hospital. We originally chose this location as this was the closest one to our place. When we adopted our 8week pup, we scheduled a health check up with them. He was immediately diagnosed with heart murmur (which was a surprised to us as the breeder didn’t tell us about this) and the narrow base canine (aware of) has to be extracted asap. We were then referred to specialist and quoted us $800 for heart scan and $1200 for canine extraction for our 8 week puppy. As a first time fur parents, we got so worried so we seek a 2nd opinion today (he is now 11weeks) and did the 2nd vaccine. He is 100% healthy, no murmur and no need to worry about his canine. We were then relief!! Stay away from this hospital. Such a money grabber!!! They don’t really care about your pup! Also, a week ago when we are coming for 2nd shot of vaccine, we came in 10minutes late and cancelled us! And wanted to rebook us but has to charge us penalty for coming late the first time. Why would I ever go back andPay late charges? I’ll just move on to the next vet.
Emma Fletcher: My experiences over the years with this clinic have been great. My little dog was fortunate enough to have Dr. Spooner as her vet since she was just a few weeks old in 2008. He has been a source of reason and calm during the more stressful times of her now elderly life. I’ve always appreciated Dr. Spooner’s conservative restraint and accurate assessment with her diagnosis and treatment, as well as his gentleness with her. He has recently retired. My little old lady doesn’t have much time left, but I know that she will still be well-served at YPH. The clinic has gotten busier over the years, deservedly so because they are a solid clinic!
Kaley Merritt: Very clean and friendly space. The Veterinarians are really knowledgeable and helpful. I took my new puppy there to get his shots done and they were able to give me helpful information about his breed and things that I could do to prevent issues. The cost of making an appointment with the vet for any service- shots, health issues, etc- is a little higher than usual. YPH is really close to where I live and the service is great so I don’t mind the increased cost.
Nathan: Got my puppy neutered here! Friend staff - would recommend!
Barney Andersen: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Recommended for anyone living in the Yaletown neighborhood.
Mel Cooper: I was left super impressed with the vets and facility. After several traumatizing and expensive visits at other vets, I had lots of distrust and skepticism of the vet industry. There was no recommendation to do any tests that weren’t necessary and although the exam fee was a bit more than some clinics, i left paying less overall because they weren’t trying to scam me like other places. I also appreciated how clean and comforting the office was. The only thing i found to be too expensive for me was the food so i decided to buy elsewhere, but convenience is always going to come at a cost. I hope i don’t have to come back anytime soon, but will if i need to!
Tristan Hasselback: Great vets, great staff.
J. H.: Money grabber. We came here for our new puppy because it's right next door and has a decent google review score. The doctor made me book separate visits for my puppy's 3rd shot of vaccine and rabies shot. I have never heard of such things after owning dogs for my entire life. It only made sense when we found out each visit comes with a 100 dollar "check up fee", even when the rabies shot is 1 week after the 3rd vaccine, and the puppy was "checked up" again. After receiving the paperwork for insurance, we also discovered a temperature was registered for the visit when the doctor never even took my puppy's temp during the visit.
walter kendall: Very helpful
Delores Thai: I cannot say enough about the care and attention our sweet Millie received this week at YPH. We had a very stressful situation, mixed with other difficult circumstances. Every single person my husband talked to in person and on the phone/email were AMAZING. The doctors went above and beyond what we expected. We received frequent communication with words of care and kindness, attention and respect from the staff at YPH. Our family was under so much stress but we knew and felt that YPH was truly trying to do their best and their best to make our time more tolerable while Millie was in their care. I can go on and on and on. Our Millie is home now and resting after her two days at YPH. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We take comfort to know that she received lots of cuddles during her time there.
Esther Goldlust: My 8 year old Labrador Retriever ingested marijuana yesterday and I was completely distraught and overcome not knowing what happened to my beautiful girl. The team at Yaletown were miraculous in understanding, care and kindness! Because I was such a wreck when I arrived for help, I completely forgot about payment. When I called today to ask about my bill, the response was that there wasn’t one. My utmost gratitude and appreciation to the beautiful staff at Yaletown Pet Hospital.
Allyson Hayward: The same bag of Royal Canin food is $85 here and $61.45 at my vet. Something is wrong here lol
Rana S: We’ve come here for a few visits (after visiting another vet) and have been a much better experience. Our vet, Dr Nicole is thorough, patient, honest.
Beverly Siemens: My dog actually enjoys going here. Enough said.
Linda Burchell: The vets are amazing as are the techs - I was with Yaletown Pet since Dr. Spooner....and have always been so appreciative...of Dr. Spooner and Yaletown Pets...thank you and Dr. Myers is one of the most special people and vets you could have - and Tianna is a lovely Veternarian Assistant and all staff are just so lovely, caring and pet friendly - thank you All and thank you to Dr. Myers for his kindness with both my little ones!!
Carol Pollock: My puppy and I were attacked by 3 pitbulls in livingstone park. The owner left them all off lease to attack us. It was terrifying. Yaletown Pet hospital took her in as soon as we showed up and gave her amazing care. It's not cheap but it's so worth it. She's all good now - thank goodness!

Hemlock Animal Hospital Vancouver: what do users think?
Stephanie Marvel: Compassionate, efficient, excellent service! I'm so glad I brought Pazza here for her spay surgery. Admittedly, I was a little put off by the reviews, but I'm old enough to recognize a lynch mob when I see one! Amazing service, amazing follow up, my cat healed quickly and wonderfully. I appreciated the ease with which my declines to the "up-sells" were taken. A good veterinary office should be suggesting these things, whether they're in the budget or not! All in all, I'm so so so happy!! 100% recommend!
Russell Soper: Wonderful Vet, great staff!Thank you for giving my two cats Ashy Larry and Grumpy such amazing care durning our time in Vancouver. ❤️
Maria Eduarda Rodrigues Silva: Kind staff
Lencaca Pan: Dr. harry and all the staff here are very nice and professional, they helped us with the international travel certificate and will definitely recommend them to anyone that needs this service!
Hannah Lee: Dr. Harry is sweet and knowledgeable! He was gentle with my kitty and reassured me with his answers to all my questions. I had a lot to ask, but he was very patient with me! Rashna at the front desk is friendly, kind, and helpful as well. My cat and I had a great experience- I would recommend coming here for check-ups and vaccines.
Brian Cawley: Please please if you care about your animals stay away from this vet. Unethical, shoddy, substandard care on so many levels, culminating in an animal’s death. Unfathomable that he is allowed to practice. There are so many good vet practices in Vancouver. This is not one. A complaint is being submitted to the college of veterinarians of BC. STAY AWAY
Anna Smith: Friendly staff. Can get in quick for an appointment. Been taking the pup for years.Only thing is the Dr is always try to upsell on services that are not necessary.
Kev inYQQ: Dr. Harry and their staff are a welcome change from some of the animal hospitals in Kits that go to extreme lengths and prices that defy compassionate care. Hemlock is Sensible and caring.
Fang Yang: Great service. Staff are very friendly and know what they are doing.
Aanikh Kler: Last week we made the extremely difficult decision to put our beloved dog down after 15 years. Dr. Makkar was incredible. Kind, caring and professional. He made time late in the evening to come to our home because he knew our dog was in pain. He is a fantastic vet and we are so thankful for his warm presence during such a difficult time.
Jx Shi: Very great experience at this hospital, the receptionist and doctor are very kind and nice. They made sure my cat is healthy and save. Thank you.
Kirsty Louise: Love this vet, very helpful and good to our little puppy :)
Sena Kalay: Great care for my dog . So appreciated
Lanita mesotopitis: Went here with my wild cat and Dr. Harry and Tadia kept her calm. So happy with the service. Totally recommend 100%
Magali Signourel: Reasonable vets, and prices. Recommand the place. Quick for appointments, knowledgeable and caring people. Good follow up and always available to help. Dr Harry is great! Saved my cat! Thanks
Gurjot Mander: Dr.Harry is great! He always helps and offers the best suggestions for my dog.
Stuart Macdonald: It's nice dealing with a doctor that gives you clear and honest communication. He is willing to discuss options and unlike other operations they don't just go ahead with running multiple expensive tests without consulting the pet owner. 5 stars all the way.
sarah palmer: I am with Dr Harry and the staff of Hemlock animal hospital for 8 years now. First with my 2 cars Francis and Sophie, and now with the addition of my one year old puppy Sky!Dr Harry and his staff are very attentive, open to all my questions and my animals trust him. He listens and gives suggestions! He never pushes for unnecessary tests and has the animal and the owner in his mind when doing his diagnosis. I just only can say Kudos and will keep referring him!
Pirkolette R: I called in about a week ago regarding the in-home vet services, as my cat was very old and I wanted him to experience the least amount of stress in his final moments. When I called, the receptionist was exceptionally kind and gentle with me. I just called for a quote to discuss with my brother. She let me know a veterinarian would call me back to explain the process to me.When the Veterinarian called me back I was blown away by how cold and inconsiderate he was. He even asked me if I was sure I didn't want to just put my cat down the day I called. I was very emotional and tried to frantically explain I just wanted a quote, as this was a decision for me and my brother to make. He then coldly responded if I was keeping the ashes or not. I hadn't even thought that far and just asked for the prices for both. He seemed annoyed with me. He then asked me to confirm the appointment, I explained for a third time I just wanted a quote to discuss with my brother. He asked if I was to cancel the appointment, I said I didn't make one, so obviously! He called me back a few hours later to re-confirm the appointment with me: at this point I was livid. my beloved pet was dying, I had to discuss our options with my brother, the vet was beyond inconsiderate to me during this whole process and kept trying to push me to confirm an appointment. This was the hardest decision I have ever had to make in my life, and I am so glad I didn't go here for it.In short:Reception is kind and caring.actual Veterinarian is cold and inconsiderate to ones feelings regarding pet end of life.I am not a current patient: I was just looking for in-home service for my pet and my experience with the Veterinarian over the phone made me feel good about my decision to not go through with this service and go to my trusted vet instead.
Sandra Fiddes: Our names are Bruce and Toni. We have been taken care of by our humans ,of course, ( Sandy & Dave ) and the doctors and staff at the wonderful Hemlock Animal Hospital since we were born. We are now 10 years old, fuzzy, happy and healthy. We recommend this place for friendliness, knowledge, promptness, gentleness and care. Thank you!
Shelley Poulsen: First time travelling with a pet internationally! The clinic was amazing helping us understand the paperwork and documents required. They made sure we had everything done properly for a pleasant Bon Voyage!

Vancouver Veterinary Hospital: what do users think?
Hippo: Avoid
Gordon Kerr: I have been coming here with my red heeler, Wyatt for a few years now, I'm always impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff. They explain things very well and make me feel comfortable leaving my dog with them. Even helped me get my kids back in the truck while I carried my super groggy dog.
Reban Nouri: If I could give them 0 star I would. I think they recently hired a new receptionist and she is very rude. My dog has thyroid issues and I am explaining to her that he will run out of his pills in a few days and need a refill and instead of saying yes no problem, I’ll put a two weeks order in for him and he will need to see the doctor to see if his condition gotten worse. She says” you can’t get a refill unless you make an appointment that is our policy to make sure the dose is the right does still” and I continue to explain to her at this point we know he needs this dose so I need a refill and continues to repeat the same thing. So I tell her so you are putting my dogs life at risk and hold his refill as hostage right now. You want him to feel ill until you do your test. She continues to repeat that 95% sure that the doc won’t approve it. This is unreal. You are putting my dogs life at risk so you can make a few hundreds. Keep in mind they could’ve told me about the blood work at his last refill. He has had this condition for the past 5 years and he has had this vet since his first shot. He is 9 years old. Every other receptionist that I had come across here before told me we cant do the usual refill quantity, but I can give you some until he gets blood work. Not this lady. She must’ve had a bad day or something. Last refill this same lady doubled the quantity of pills instead of his usual one and I didn’t t say anything because my dog needed it. They use to be good, but not anymore. I am moving my dog somewhere else.
Christina Thoma: Our chihuahua had a tooth emergency that required extractions and the clinic took very good care of her. She recovered fast and is doing great. We felt confident and well informed throughout the process even though we’re far from home and this was our first time visiting the clinic. Thank you.
Leo Li: Very helpful staff and good atmosphere overall. Doctor Amy Cheung is the best as always
Karlee P: We greatly appreciate the care our new puppy has received from Vancouver Veterinary Hospital. We were so impressed by getting a follow up call from the veterinarian on a long weekend! Thank you to everyone at VVH!
Carson Tai: Very kind and helpful staff. Takes very good care of my dog. They are quick to respond to emails as well! Thanks!
Newsha Khalaj: I have reported them to the complaints board of College of Veterinarians of British Columbia because of our experiences here and what they did. I would NEVER recommend them to a single pet owner.
Jane Dyson: Thank you to all the kind and gentle folks at Vancouver Veterinary Hospital. We have been clients here for over 20 years and we and our beloved pets have always received excellent, tender loving care. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Philip Wolfman and Jennifer who spent so much time working with our little Ecco. We miss her deeply, but know she received the very best care from you. Take good care until we see you again.
Cathy Li: To respond to the owner’s response below: first of all, I was talking about your attitude and the way you treated a customer of your business. It was disgusting how you being so cocky that morning, when I asked for help from you to explain something on the consent form. 2nd, when you and your business call yourself as animal advocate, you take the moral high ground to force ppl to do thing in your way, and that’s why being one day late from what a vet recommended is not acceptable by you, regardless someone has spent thousands of dollars and in the meantime suffering from a shocking news. You can list all the facts of my cat’s critical conditions, but it’s not your excuse to threat your customer. 3rd, you gave a background of the situation, including saying the vet had concern of my cat might have heart failure in Dec, to support your response. However, this is exactly the evidence to show the problem of your business. I have NEVER been told that the vet had such concern before the ultrasound. I wasn’t mentioned anything about heart failure in Dec. Your business has communication issue, giving the fact that we had different doctor almost every appointment, and that every time I called, either for follow up questions or appointments, I had to repeat the thing again and again, your staff didn’t know much about a client’s history or what needs to be done. I don’t feel being cared from a so called “animal advocate”. Last but not least, technician also needs to interact with ppl, some customer services and emotional intelligence workshops may be helpful to you. - on Feb 23I have been taking my cat to this clinic over 10yrs and today I had the worse experience I ever had. The staff was so arrogant and didn’t bother to explain the form I need to fill out, until I told her that I don’t understand some medical terms. And I was forced to book an appointment by this staff, regardless I had emphasized that I need to see a doctor that I’ve talked to and can easily communicate with, even the appointment is only one day after the day she wants me to book, and her reason is that the doctor advised that I must bring my cat in that specific time. She just kept pushing. As a pet owner, I’m responsible for my pet’s health and I understand the risk. I hate being treated in this pushy and threatening way.I wanna give negative if I could, 2stars only for the past experience and old staffs.
Dora Prieto: Really fantastic staff and I found all the vets had a really nice way of working with my cat, making him feeling comfortable and letting him settle into the room and sniff instruments etc. felt like they cared and they weren't trying to just push us through asap.
Mister Kim: I would give minus 5 stars if possible. I ordered meds earlier this week. I called before going to to confirm. I arrived today and they were out of the meds I HAD ORDERED AND THEY SAID WOULD BE READY!! VVH is not close to my house. Its not convenient for me to go. I dont have time to go twice in one week. I DIDNT EVEN GET AN APOLOGY. The rude woman, who obviously messed up my order, just shrugged and said “we get our orders on Tuesday!” THAT DOESNT MATTER. YOU TOLD ME TO COME SATURDAY! Im never going back here. Its going downhill fast. Stay away from this place.
Abby Nicole: Best vet in the city!
JSM: Been taking my dog here for awhile, the doctors and staff are super helpful!
Christa Siminiuk: Very kind, friendly and caring staff. Thank you!!
Irma Reid: First time here for my Grandkitty, wonderful doctor and wonderful staff!
Mima Accettura: Sadly leaving this veterinary facility due to a lack of communication and care for animals welfare and owners welfare. They will ask you to bring in your dog early only to have your dog sit and wait for half the day while nothing happens. Telling you that the Dr's are doing the work when in fact it is the Technicians who are doing the majority of any work. If you tell the staff important information that must be conveyed to the Dr's it does not happen even if this information is critical to owner safety. For instance not being able to drive in the dark therefore requiring that the work be completed in time so that I could safely drive home. They charge like the Dr is actually performing the tasks but in fact the Dr. performs a review of the work completed. Suggests extractions of course!! I no longer trust this facility. I don't like being lied to but they will say they miss spoke?? There are alot of staff in front and back and that is what you pay for. Vet suggested that soft tissue Surgeries are performed first which I replied why was I asked to bring my dog in at 8:30 am? His response was that emergencies take priority having mentioned that spaying and neutering are first on the list??? I don't consider these emergencies but still doesn't answer why my dog should have been brought in so early or why I wasn't given all this information to make the most informed decision to leave my dog there all day only to have his teeth cleaned so late in the afternoon by technicians that I had to demand the return of my dog so I could safely drive home. The more I became anxious the longer they took and kept stalling me. This facility operates arrogantly. Very upsetting and frustrating to not be respected. They are too expensive for obvious reasons none of which include efficiency and customer respect which are severely lacking. I'm bringing my dog to see another vet for a second opinion. This vet clinic would have extracted 4 teeth if I had not questioned them and still a simple cleaning cost 1200$$$ and a dr was barely involved in the process. They suggest a wiggly tooth should be extracted? Yikes there is a serious problem here.
Elaine Leung: Vets and staff are knowledgeable and genuine.
J M: I have nothing but praise for VVH. Dr. Kong and all of the other veterinarians have been so caring and knowledgeable. I feel lucky to have found this place.December 9, 2022I can think of no other way to express my deep appreciation than through a review. Today I had to say goodbye to my cat, and the kindness and thoughtfulness of Drs. Kimberly Cruz and Irene Kong and the staff at VVH is priceless.
A Vant: We have been taking our beloved cat here for her annual check ups for the past 4 years. Reception is friendly and helpful. Vet techs are skilled and professional. The Vets are always sweet (towards are skittish cat) and super knowledgeable, following up lab results by calling us and explaining everything in detail when needed. No upselling of services. Just quality animal care.
Tough Age: i have been lucky to have almost exclusively good vet clinics in my long life of living with Cats with Issues and Vancouver Veterinary far and away has been the best. The team’s dedication and care for our cat is so clear and noted to the point that our cat doesn’t even mind the visit and she hates everything! I couldn’t recommend bringing your pet here more highly.

Burrard Animal Hospital + Emergency: what do users think?
Astoria Yuan: They take care of my cat for about two years, and he went back to Meow Planet last night. Thanks for everything they did for him. It's his fortune to get their care. All of the doctors and assistants I met in this hospital are friendly and kind.
george rossi: Waited over an hour 15. and we were told that appointments come first while our dog was pretty ill and suffering on the floor. Told that the wait would be indefinite and they did not investigate our dog to determine what was going on.if it’s not an emergency hospital then take the sign down.
Cara Mcdonald: I am writing this review for my little cat Sunny, and for all the pet owners out there to think twice before bringing your beloved pet to this terrible place!! They misdiagnosed my baby every time over at least 4 costly visits, from September to January. My cat had cancer and despite all kinds of bloodwork ($$$) they kept telling me he was fine. I know cats sleep a lot but when your cat is totally lethargic and hides in the closet for three days...not eating or drinking that is not normal!!! He was finally referred to Canada West where the first thing the tech asked me is why does Sunny not have any platelets?! How could Burrard have missed this??!! there are alot of other things I can say, but none will bring back my best friend or my trust in this clinic. I believe they knew my cat was sick and decided to make as much money of me until they could not anymore!! Shame on them for preying on pet parents who trust you to do the right thing. At least my little cat is at peace now with no more pain! Don’t bring your pets here
Amnit Dhindsa: Dr. Barzelai is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, logical and kind! He recommended very reasonable tests to diagnose our dog (and on a long weekend). Thank you so much for your help! Dr. Barzelai takes the time to explain the issue and each test very thoroughly in simple terms, he does not use excessive technical jargon which I greatly appreciated.
Shūji Kiritani: Always had a good experience with nice and friendly staff.
Faye Li: Trustworthy vets. I highly recommend Dr. Nair. It's hard to find a vet with empathy, genuine concern, and kindness. Dr. Nair made my pup feel comfortable and his explanations were thorough. We had our pets come in for emergency for a few times and I always felt comfortable and at ease with my dogs in their hands. On top of that their examination rooms are clean. I have had a horrible experience with another vet and am so relieved to have my pets transferred here.
Jessica Davies: Have taken my (stoner?) dog here twice for ingesting THC at kits beach. The front desk staff, techs and vets I’ve encountered are empathetic and knowledgeable.Going to the emergency vet is never going to be cheap or pleasant, but if you have to go, Burrard is a good choice. The they give you the options and costs for care up front and the rates are pretty comparable to my normal non-emerg vet.
Kate Benner: I wouldn’t recommend Burrard Animal Hospital. They constantly reshuffle appointment times, even for more urgent appointments like infections.I was told to take my dog to emergency care as my regular vet was booked up and my dog required treatment for an eye infection. After booking an appointment at Burrard Animal, they rescheduled me to 9:30pm on a weeknight and then pushed my appointment until the next day (meanwhile - infections don’t go away, and the eye is a sensitive area!).Upon arrival the next day, they again told me that they were behind schedule and could provide no estimate for when my dog might be seen (?!). I understand that this is an emergency vet, however it is difficult as a client to receive little/no updates on appointment times and to repeatedly wait multiple hours to actually be seen by a vet (this has happened on multiple occasions). As someone with an extremely nervous dog, it is also very unreasonable to provide no information to clients and require them to sit with a panicking dog for an extended period in a waiting area. I would recommend that Burrard Animal improve their clinic organization to reduce the constant reshuffling and improve their communication to clients to reduce stress for all.
Okkk: Spent a couple hundred and the doctor only told you they didn't find the problems, and if you want to know the reason, you have to go through several more big exams to find out. My dog got sedation and was still not fully recovered on the second day. He became sensitive, acting like he was scared, hiding under the bed and was anxious when we reached hands to him. His legs were trembling while his sleeping, his voice was hoarse, and his breathing was heavy. But the hospital said nothing was unusual. He didn't act like that when he was given sedation at a different hospital. That time, he was entirely covered after a couple of hours. But this time, he still hasn't covered for two days. *Receptionist was friendly and responsive.
R G: Never thought I'd write this, but I feel like I've been scammed and misled. This place managed to prey on naive and anxious first time pet owners to escalate what was essentially diarrhea into a full blown potential invasive surgey or endonoscopy for our sweet kitty. We had to pay $2300 for what was a 12 hour overnight to morning stay for all sorts of checks, IVs and other work. We initially suspected our kitty had an upset tummy, or poisoned from something like salt/deicer. She was throwing up but otherwise keeping liquids in.We also thought maybe a bit of foam lodged, because of the fact she threw bits of it days before. Yet they charged $600+ for radiology x-rays to look for FOAM?!!Make that make sense please ? We didn't agree to that, if anything an ultrasound would have been the better tool? Poor judgement and duty of care to suggest and conduct unnecessary work.It looked like random unnecessary techs/jobs had been added onto the billing list to buff up as many charges as they can. I want this invoice to be revised. It's unjust and I can't believe it, the other reviews are saying the same, make a decision for yourself if you think to take your beloved pet here. This business is literally next door to my home and 24 hrs and I will never think to bring my cat here again, even if she wasn't breathing. This vet hospital seems to be for-profit, like it's run by cowboys that moonlight as vets by night. Confusing, weird medical jargon said to trick and worry you in to saying yes.Lots of prodding and probing for no reason other than to upcharge and boost their profits from each visit. You know who I am, please reach out to rectify this. I'm going to see if I can speak to my credit card company- seemingly a scummy practice.Strange to have a CPR/resuscitation policy thrust on you at the end to give you that extra worry...
Connie Mak: We started bringing our Corgi puppy Pudding to Burrard since she came home at 2 months old infected with parvovirus 2 years ago and since then, we haven’t been to any other vet. During the hospitalization, we were so worried but the clinic makes at least 3 phone calls to you during the day to give you an update and they were ALWAYS available to answer questions or provide an update whenever we called!! We were so grateful that Burrard saved our little pup’s life ❤️ and we are so glad that we brought her there!!! Our pup actually LOVES going to their clinic and gets excited so you can see how well they treat your fur babies when they are under their care. Hands down the best clinic in the Lower Mainland!! Pricing is reasonable and not ridiculously high for a 24 hour clinic that’s always available 👍🏻
Lisa Blake: We have had nothing but wonderful experiences here with our dog.The staff is super helpful kind and go the extra mile. The vets all take great care of our dog. They are super knowledgeable and take the time to explain treatment plans and options. I also really appreciate that they check in and give great after care.
Cindy Reynolds: I brought in a lost dog and Lai, the receptionist, helped me connect with the owner. This wasn't all that easy as it took several phone calls to track the owner down. The clinic was fairly busy but Lai went out of her way to help. Many thanks!
J. H.: Reply: arh, I guess other vets don't offer hospitalization after general anesthesia like you do...Quoted me 2800 for a CT where every other specialists in metro vancouver don’t extend 1800.
Brookelynn Wood-Schatz: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueThey were able to help one of my dogs out when she hurt her knee - surgery and ultrasound done within days! Super thankful for everything you do for my dogs. They genuinely care about your animals! Super quick and efficient❤️
Samira Wagner: Since moving to Vancouver I have tried a couple different vets, and after coming to Burrard Animal Hospital + Emergency over a year ago we've never explored anywhere else. My dog has vet anxiety and they treat her with so much love and care to try to help her manage her fears! They've always been honest, clear and caring. I adore the team and appreciate all they do!
Kirsten Bowles: We went here for the first time after our dog ingested rat poison. Being first time dog owners, and thinking he was going to die we were extremely upset and concerned we would lose our boy. The staff were calm and helpful and got our dog in right away. Dr. Wong and the vet tech (I didn’t get her name, unfortunately) were so incredible. They were empathetic and kind and made us feel like our dog was in good hands. We were able to get him on medicine and he’s going to be fine thanks to their quick work. We were in and out in an hour and a half with a prognosis, treatment, medication and plans for a follow up! I see some reviews talking about cost but I think I’m an emergency situation they could have charged us much more we didn’t feel at all like they just wanted our money. We hope to make Dr. Wong our full time vet, so we will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone who is having a pet emergency!
K Cat: The staff are so kind and compassionate and they looked after my cat Moose so well. I love how they can fit you in the same day and also do routine care as well as emergency. Happy to have these guys as my vet.
Jessie D: I have had a bit of a mixed experience with this clinic as an emergency provider.Pro: they are incredibly fast. Two days in a row we attended, and the wait was 10-30 minutes, and there was no more than 1 other person in the waiting area. On those same days, VCA had a wait for 6-8 hours. They were also super prompt with my insurance, and labeled my pets ultimate “GI inflammation” as “lack of vitality”, so my deductible is easily taken care of if anything happens in the future.Cons: there is a reason they have no wait. It is known in the vet community that this clinic does not make an educated decision on which tests to run and when, they just run anything and everything. My animal had ate part of a plastic item and was experiencing pain a day later. Day 1 it was recommended that I pay almost $2k for full battery of tests - rather than “let’s start with this, and then consider a, b, c. I ultimately agreed to about $1k of tests, which did not indicate anything serious (no bowel obstruction). Medications were provided and I agreed to come back if the pet did not improve to complete the remaining tests (blood work). I came back the next day, and for some reason they thought that my pet needed a full body x ray as it could suddenly be a growth plate disorder, in order to diagnose the cause of a fever, which was new. I’m pretty sure most people know, when you have a fever, you have body aches! I ultimately agreed to the blood work and hospitalization for fluids, anti inflammatory and antibiotics. Surprise- pet was fine 24 hours later and has had zero issues in the 8 weeks since.I can appreciate that “it’s better to be safe than sorry” - however, my pet was able to recover with $2k of medical care, rather than the $5-7k it would have cost if I blindly agreed to everything. At no time was my pet so severe that there was not time to think critically. It’s not responsible as a medical professional to act this way - if you are an educated medical professional, you should know to start with “most likely” and go from there. If I got to my doctor with a fever, they don’t instantly assume I have cancer. I think the vets are smart, but that they work for an owner that creates a culture of $$$ being most important. On top of that, between day 1 and day 2, the cost of blood work increased by $100. I was not given an explanation, but my previous quote was honored. When I was concerned about them wanting to run excessive testing during the hospitalization, I asked them to send updates to my regular vet before proposing anything (something I have requested of other specialists/emerg vets - VCA - in the past as I trust my vet). They were VERY cagey about this, and given some of the reviews about medical records not matching events, I now understand why. Wouldn’t you be updating a medical chart in real time? That being said- the weekend vet accommodated my requests and pushback on the number of tests being done (despite the fact that I was probably quite rude in my frustration), they did take great care of my pet, and the Monday AM vet was very reasonable about what needed to/did not need to be done, and did not keep my pet there any longer than was absolutely necessary.Unfortunately, we’ll probably still end up here in the future solely due to the fact that despite the outrageous quotes, they are fast and do ultimately get pets better.
ARVAND ESLAMPOUR: I wish I could give 10 stars,They are really fair on price and spending time to find out the problem,They have explained everything to me to ensure I can make the best decision for my dog,I have been visited three of the doctors sofar and they were all amazing,Thanks for all your hard work!
Laney Schachtel: Really great experience here! Brought my hamster in and all staff treated him nicely. The appointment didn’t feel rushed and the vet took the time to answer all my questions. The assistants were amazing at handling my pet as well. Receptionists were very helpful and the wait times were short. Definitely will be recommending them to friends!

BC SPCA Vancouver Animal Hospital: what do users think?
Debra Dee: Amazing service and kindness. I'm glad they are able to help those of lower income to get their furbabies neutered.I was able to have my furbabies teeth pulled and cleaned for such a minimal cost. I am so thankful to the SPCA. Otherwise I would not have been able to relieve my little girl of the pain she was in and the icky smell of her breath from rotting teeth.I was also able to update on my pups shots and feel good that my furbabies would stay healthy.
Sally D: Thank god for the BCSPCA's low cost neuter/spay program for low-income folks! No other local animal welfare group offers anything like this. The staff are so helpful whether you communicate by email or phone. Just lovely to deal with!
The One: My dog needs emergency help with his paws and Debbie at SPCA recommended this office as I'm off work on disability with a fixed income and they wouldn't book my dog in until 3 weeks. He has infected paws and I just spent 1400$ all my spare money at another vet clinic. 8 times iv called and they don't answer the phone not once. I was hoping to get a good rate but will seek out other vets and maybe see about prostituteing my body on weekends to afford the care for my pet. Also read a ton of wealthy people taking up the needed vet help for low income individuals. Vet should be filtering those who don't need the low cost services to different offices. This is for low income pet owners not cheapskate yuppies living downtown condos or Kitsilano. Give ur head a shake
P C: Dr. Alex was very passionate and caring, he pays attention to details as well. The Vet Tech was extremely helpful and nice. Front desk people always have a smile which makes it easy on us. Great hospital taking care of all our furry friends!
Christopher Easton: Consultation about getting my pup spayed. Staff and Doctor were extremely nice, and answered all of my questions. Holding back on that 5th star pending the procedure though! Lol #nervouspetowner
Monika Jesenicnik: Took excellent care of my sphynx kitten during her spay, the surgery incision is barely noticeable and it was clean when she came home. Deserves all donations they can get
Minda P: The doctor and Nurse were so kind and friendly, best animal hospital in Vancouver!
Don Andrews: Best place to take your animals. We've been using their services for almost 20 years and will continue to do so until we're unable.
Shinbo Avocado: Staff was rude and unattentive when we came in.
Eriona Xhaferaj: Amazing service!
Lucy Binfield: Great location and good service with reasonable prices. It is hard to get an appointment but as long as you plan in advance it is alright!
D Galbraith: Thank you so much for the help with my dog. Rest in peace little buddy
Kym Lobzun: Staff we knowledgeable and kind
Leila A. K. Barnes: It was a very emotional and they as in staff and vet's we're non simpathetic they just didn't care and killed my cat for a ear hematoma non life threatening. Not fun cken cool SPCA
Robert M: We brought our cat Vette in without an appointment, they took us in right away . Very friendly people, great service. Would highly recommend.
cici wilson: I love the people who work tirelessly for the health and well being of our pets..I have 2 small dogs and trust no others...Everyone's dedication is truly admirable...Twice I needed to have one of my little guys seen and I didn't have enough to cover what it would have cost , they took the time to see him assess him and get a diagnosis. I was so concerned when I had arrived but they quickly put my mind at ease.. When it comes to our pets care they are top notch....Thank you to everyone who works here for all you do....
Bhavesh Ratanpal: Definitely a safe place for animals
Warren N: We had to get our little puppy neutered and shopped around for pricing, the SPCA worked out to be the cheapest by almost half compared to other vets, they were professional, courteous and super friendly, I highly recommend using them, we won't be going anywhere else.
Abby F: I can’t say enough good about this place. Everyone was so friendly and caring and attentive and made my puppy and I feel valued. The check up and vaccines were smooth and pain-free.
Elle H.: Friendly and pleasant doctor and technicians. Took good care of my cat. Doctor and technician took time to explain everything. Happy with the experience.
Toni Webb: Brought my dog here for her spay. The experience from start to finish was amazing. It was such a stressful situation for both me and her but the staff here were so helpful and patient. Thank you team, will recommend this place to friends and be sure to return in the future. :) 🙏
