Kaitlin Ashley: Pretty busy location so I imagine it's difficult keeping the shelves full. I'm still able to find most things I need! Staff are friendly and helpful .
linda maris: Tried to use the drop in service at 5:20pm to have our dachshund’s nails trimmed. They advertise that they are open 8am - 8pm. Parked for $12 at indigo parking 5 blocks away. Walked thru the open door and the 2 groomers that were standing there told us they were closed. When I asked about the sign, they told us the manager in Petsmart refuses to change the sign to reflect their hours. When we asked the Petsmart manager (who was very nice and sympathetic) she said the groomers hours are “fluid” and apologized. We asked to have our parking validated and were told that they only validate at the indigo closest to them. Super disappointing. Won’t be back.
Emma Turgut: Their selection for small pets is not as wide as the location at Grandview but still has some of the essentials I need. I come here regularly and have never had a bad experience. Plus I got my hamster from here and although he had mites and currently has alopecia he is my pride and joy 3

We signed up for training classes the group class wasn't working out for my shy puppy PetSmart offered an upgrade to attend a private class for a one on one training session. I highly recommend a private training class for puppies.

Evan O'Connor: This location refused to groom my rescue dog because her vaccination papers were written in a foreign language and they didn’t want to do the minimal amount of effort that it would have required to find the information they needed which was clearly legible in the documents provided. They wasted my time and disappointed my daughter two weeks in a row.
Carly R: Last night (April 25th, 2023) I visited the store at 8:55 pm to exchange a bag of dog food.I went to the front at approx 858 (they close at 9 pm) and asked a question about the Greenies dog treats. The woman at the front, Lindsay, was happy to help. At first.Once she heard I wanted to exchange something, she let out the biggest, most obvious sigh and said “why do people come in when we are closing” out loud. I quickly responded saying “pardon me?” And then this is how the rest of the conversation went:me: pardon me?Lindsay: you heard me. I don’t know why you had to come in to do this to me.Me: what the heck? Why are you taking out your problems on customers? What did I do to you?Lindsay: *snaps* you shouldn’t be hereMe: why are you taking this out on me?!Lindsay: I’m just having a really bad day ok! Someone just broke in and stole stuff from me.Me: ok but why are you taking this out on the customer? This is wrong. You can’t do this to customers.Lindsay: *leaves the cash register area*This is the most horrific customer experience I have ever had in my 24 years of existence. I will never forget what happened tonight. Don’t worry, I will still be shopping at pet smart but you will never be able to erase the most painful and uncomfortable customer service situation I’ve ever experienced.

But the staff are super friendly, everything that I look for is in-stock majority of the time, and there's great selection on pet products. Probably my favourite PetSmart!

Yu Chi Chiu: Quite busy at this location (so sometimes there would be a long line-up for the cashier or exotic area), but that would be the only negative thing I can think of.It is overall a very good location: the staff here is always really helpful. They are also one of the few stores that sell crickets (quite difficult to find in Vancouver in my experience), so that is always a plus for people keeping herptiles.
Moj Noroozi: The store is huge and has a lot of stuff to select. But we had to wait for someone to help us about 15 minutes. There was only one guy to help customers who was helpful at the end.
David Finden: The woman helping me in the fish department seemed to really know her stuff.
Mae Postel: Staff here are friendly. Theres alot of variety of food treats etc. However if you have an XS or small dog the clothes are very limited and not the greatest of selections.Otherwise its pretty good store for all your pet needs.

Emi B: My go to independent pet store for my mice/hamster! They have well priced mealworm/superworm/crickets and the staff is very friendly. They reliably carry Versele-Laga which is my favorite brand for rodent food but it's hard to find sometimes. They also have a huge selection of treats and enrichment toys you wont find at chains. I get paper and timothy hay bedding, lately the paper ones have been rotating out brand/colour/size wise, but they're always low dust and good price for the largest volumes. They only carry ethical cage sizes and the adoptable birds/rodents they have in the back always have care notes if they require to be in a bonded pair or with an experienced owner. They really know their stuff and there's always a cute dog to pet when you stop by. Highly recommend!

My car was blocked along with the vehicle parked beside me in the back of the business by a truck delivering to Mr. PETS. She was hanging out back smoking chatting to another fella. I asked how long will the driver be. She said," how should I know who are you!!! I said I was a customer. Ishe went silent as I think I may have caught her off guard that i knew she was an employee and walked away......Honestly, and its only my perception of her, but her wavering body motion and aggressiveness towards me....I think she was high on something. But rest assured, I will not be going back to this store.

CK: 2023 April 16th Sunday morning, I encountered a male staff in red T-Shirt wearing glasses here, he probably hates working here.I made purchase to get a 4000 points promotion, which did not go through, so I sat in my car and made sure the promotion is successfully activated. Then I came back in 5 minutes and asked if the earlier cashier can help with return and buy again, I wasn’t even asking him, this red T-shirt guy just came over from the next counter and interrupted, he refused to give it a try and insisted I should call the online customer service, not the store. He is so sure he is right, very rude and unhelpful.This isn’t the first time I am annoyed by the staff in this store, as I live close and buy pet food from here mostly. A lady worked at the live animal section was rude almost every time I needed help from her, I saw upset reviews about her from other people, recently don’t see her anymore.Plus some cashiers might do better if they do not deal with customers at the store front. Staff working here seems change quite frequently, as a loyal customer, it’s really depending on your luck the day you visit.Of course I’ve met good and helpful people here as well, but overall, my suggestion is to improve the hiring criteria.
Nancy Draper: I brought my border collie in to this location to be groomed, and can't say enough good things about Marcelle. She did a fantastic job - the best of anyone we've had groom our dog. This was our first visit to PetSmart for grooming, and we will definitely be back. We hope Marcelle is still there next time we want to bring our dog in. She was friendly, kind to our dog, and again, did a stellar job of the grooming.

July 28 we got a call from the owner stating that our rabbit died on the weekend(due to heat exposure) According to him, he forgot to leave the back door open for ventilation and did not open his store all day Saturday(for some weird reason). My family is very upset, First, he did not informed us until after several days it happened and second, the incident could have been prevented if he opened his store/business as advertised. This is pure negligence.... I sincerely hope this will not happen to anyone else.

B: This is the best health focused pet store in Vancouver. They have the most nutrition focused food, the biggest selection of healthy protein and raw food items, and a great selection of toys and accessories to keep pets healthy and happy.

Naush: Comet and I had a great experience at this store! We walked in on an unusually cold snowy Vancouver day looking for some booties for Comet. The staff greeted Comet with attention & treats (which he loved!) and helped me (a new puppy mom) select the right size for him. Comet enjoyed making the aisles of the store his runway.When there wasn’t his size in stock, the staff offered to have the style and size brought over from the other store which was very accommodating!Comet picked up this bone as well as a paw remedy (not pictured) and some raw food which he’s loved!They also have a good variety of toys, foods, treats and clothing.

Whether it be product knowledge while in to make a purchase, or just saying hi to your dog because you've been dragged in by leash. I've taken my parents in to shop while in town from out of province for their dog, as well as friends, and would recommend to any one who cares about their dog and wants to treat them as such!
Max Chesnut: If I could give 0 stars I would.My partner and I ordered a dog bed online for pick up in store around the end of November/beginning of December 2021. The bed was shipped to us by mistake and we received it on December 12th. We opened the packaging and realized the bed was too small for our dog. The very next day of receiving the bed we called the store and asked if it was okay to exchange the bed for a larger size. The woman on the phone said no problem and to come in “any time” never specifying a return policy for this exchange. On January 4th 2022 we did just that. When we walked in and explained our situation, the woman said that the bed “appeared to be used” before she had even looked at it or opened the packaging up. She then explained that their return policy is one week after purchase. When we tried explaining that we had called previously and spoken to someone who told us to bring it in ANY TIME and never told us anything about their return policy over the phone, she rudely interrupted us and told us that she “didn’t need our attitude” and that if we would “just let her finish” she would make an “exception” to the return policy after she realized the bed had in fact NOT been used. In our conversation with her we were not being rude or confrontational, in fact SHE was the one being rude and interrupting us when we were trying to explain our situation. After, she made an “exception” and gave us a gift card for the amount of the bed saying that the larger size won’t be available until February, which we were already aware of and totally fine with. When providing the return receipt she intentionally folded it up many times and sent us on our way. Once we got to our car flabbergasted by our interaction with her, we looked at the receipt and saw in big letters “RETURN POLICY **HOLIDAY EXTENSION: Gifts can be exchanged until JAN 4th 2022**” We feel that her attitude was extremely unnecessary, unprofessional, and hostile; especially since we were allowed to return the item with their holiday extension still in place. We didn’t even want a refund, we wanted to spend even more money on the larger size. From this experience we will never recommend Good Boy Collective to anyone again and will never return back to the store due to poor customer service, over priced items, and their lack of clear communication with customers.The reason we waited so long to write this review is because we feared retaliation, and unfortunately needed to use the gift card. Julia Cristofaro: My husband and I have been coming to good boy since we got our puppy in August 2021. After our recent visit, we will no longer return due to an extremely rude staff member. Other reviews seem to write similar comments of a very unwelcoming atmosphere. Products are alright but selection is limited and marked up like crazy! We were willing to spend the money and support a small business, but being verbally attacked by a staff member is where we draw the line.

Emilia Muirragui: This is the location from which we adopted our beloved cat: Manitoba. The staff were very helpful throughout the adoption process, and the manager (I believe his name was Alex?) went above and beyond. He helped us fill out the paperwork, which because of his help did not feel like a hassle, and he stayed in constant contact throughout the approval and "take home" process. He also waited for us to drive back with our lease agreement documents very close to closing time on a Sunday, and for that we are very grateful. They were working with Action for Animals at the time, and their whole adoption process was very straightforward. Although the profile posted for the public did not go into depth regarding the cats' personalities, they did have folders full of information, advice and recommendations for each of the kitties.Aside from this, we found the store to be clean and organized, but there were dogs inside barking which made the kittens quite jumpy and scared at times. Also, the cat enclosure did not have a climbing or scratching tower (which most PetSmarts do), so we believe that would be a great addition for the kitties enrichment.
hope Vahidi: I wanted to buy a gold fish and when I went in they said we know it’s the Persian new year and you just want to buy a fish for your new year and so we will not sell it to you. I was completely shocked. I just wanted a fish for my moms aquarium and I explained that it is a gift for my mom but they did not believe me. When I pushed they ended up saying all our fish are sick and we can’t sell it to you. I think this is discrimination and I was shocked. I will never return to this place. Very disappointed.
Sarah Third: Normally I don't write reviews for basic retail locations, but last week I felt the employees really went above and beyond to help me get a dog tag ring onto a collar. The woman at the cashier spent her spare moments, between helping customers at the till, with focused determination to get the dog tag on the collar for me. It probably took 15 minutes total but she got it on there when I'm pretty sure there's no chance I ever could have.Whenever I go into this location, the staff are cheerful and very helpful.

Last week, I found out a problem at the Main Street store in North Vancouver. I bought over 20 feeding fishes with my wife and they were on sale. When I paid, a young cashier seems didn't know what kind of fish I bought. So I told him they were Rosy Red Minnow which was $0.40 each. I also showed him their discount label on my phone. The discount label said buy 5 save 25% on all fish. The cashier ignored what the label said. He charged me $0.45 per fish instead of $0.40 per fish. Then gave me 15% discount but not 25% discount. Both the charges and discount were not right. My wife told the cashier about the problem and he told us the price he input was correct. He didn't want to look at my wife and he looked unhappy on what we said from his behavior. Not sure if we are not caucasian. I told my wife to solve the problem later with the Manager. I found the manager and told her about the issue. She made the correction on the charges and gave me the refund. But I forgot to tell her this was not the first time I was charged for the wrong price. I will keep an eye on the receipts as I don't want to overpay if I shouldn't be. Nobody want to lose money on the high value items. Good Luck!

But honestly it's part of the picking experience at this point. Now we can't, it makes picking out a little furry friend difficult when you can't get a feel for their personality/vibe before you take them home 😢
E P: This is a message for all the kind people concerned about the betta fish:Don’t worry. They’re okay. These fish have a very long and difficult trip when they are imported from Asia but are gently cared for when they arrive.I’ve spoken with the staff since I had similar concerns and even rescued one of these fish.Betta will lose color when stressed. It is possible to revive their color within 12 hours (from experience) under suitable conditions.Their water is changed daily but the lights cause algae to grow rapidly. I experience the same in my planted tank. It’s just a natural process.Yes, some of the fish die and it could be for any reason. They could have been sick prior to capture or perhaps had a rougher trip during import. But I know that the staff do care about them and treat them for disease when and where they can. The fish do not go unnoticed!I’ll post some photos of the fish I saved. The first before/after is only 16 hours apart. You can already see a difference.Note to staff: please be carefully of moldy food in the betta cups.

I’ve had a few interactions with them and all seem reasonably knowledgeable in the different departments as well. After a conversion She was agreed to sell 6 fishes 3 for each tank because that's the requirement. When I asked why do you guys have more than 30 in 5 gallon tank isn't that bad for fishes as you said 3 fishes for 3 gallon tank. She told me that they were retail store and have no requirement. I saw some of the beta fishes were in very poor condition on the display. I tried to talk to the manager too but she seemed less interested in listening to me. Anyways I hope those fishes are in good care. Thanks.
Audrey Jin: I am HEARTBROKEN. I purchased 2 mice from this store (I have 3 currently). I’ve had all my mice for a little over half a year. The two I purchased from this petsmart both have serious health issues. One is growing tumours and has her legs splayed since she was young and the other has an eye infection and I’ve tried everything. Changed the bedding every other day, cleaned her eyes and I’ve even tried ointment. I love my mice dearly. This place is selling sick mice and I am horrified I’m going to lose my beloved mice because of their poor health constant poor health. I don’t know what else I can do. I’m booking a vet visit as I’m typing this review. $70 each mouse. Worth it for these little guys. Ultimately, DO NOT PURCHASE FANCY MICE FROM THIS LOCATION. THEY SELL SICK MICE.Update: The vet bill was a little over $300.Update: One of the mice recently passed. Mice live 1-2 years on average. This one passed only about 8 months into its life.

Cassidy Cooke: Today I went Into the store to browse. I was appalled to see 4!!! Bearded dragons in the same enclosure, and 2 in another. A simple Google search will show that for the care of bearded dragons they must be kept separate due to dominance issue. These beardies were babies, and yet we’re already showing signs of malnutrition and illness due to them all being in the same tank. They were being aggressive with eachother, and laying on eachother, something that causes lifelong illness and issues, and is done to “prove” who is alpha. This is not ok. When I told an associate, I was sassed, and told that it was fine. It’s not fine at all. I will be buying my crickets and other products form my reptiles elsewhere. I have always loved this location, but this experience left a terrible taste in my mouth.
Mat Tarodi: Went in with my children to purchase a beta fish. Had to answer a series of questions to validate that we have a 20g aquarium set up for it at home with live plants, decorations, filter, heater, and more but still would not sell to us after we expressed that we lost our last beta due to an ick problem that we have fixed. However, I was shocked to learn that the only way to purchase a gold fish was to also buy an expensive 40-gallon tank. This felt like a scam and an unfair business practice.When I explained that I already had a smaller tank, the sales associate refused to sell me the goldfish and demanded that I purchase the larger tank. Even when I suggested borrowing a larger tank from a friend, the sales associate refused to budge and insisted that I purchase the larger tank immediately.This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I am disappointed that PetSmart would engage in such deceptive sales tactics.
