Matt Hoover: Strange place, lacks a friendly greeter and is old and dark, including some areas have a creepy low ceiling. This may not seem like a big deal until you experience it yourself. Creepy! To end your experience the self checkout is reminiscent of herding cattle and the computer shows you a live security feed of yourself on the screen. I could only assume this was implying I was a thief. Guilty until proven innocent. There was no paper bag option and nobody cared to help. I asked if I could use my basket for 30 seconds to go to my car and drop stuff off (as you can exit with a cart) and staff and security said “no way!”. Alas, I placed the basket on the ground and walked out with my arms full, feeling untrusted despite my clean cut image and friendly demeanour. 1 out of 5 stars, would not go back.

Standing on the exit door body shamed my girlfriend when I was not around and then later when I came back to confront them, they refused. I made sure I create a scene big enough that this guy feels ashamed of his act and be embarrassed in the staff too. Then I talked to the manager(name unknown, but bald and white moustache) and he did everything to save his employee and could not answer one simple question of mine which was "Is body shaming tolerated in Walmart or not?". I was told that this concern will reach the store manager and he will take care of it. I would love if appropriate action gets taken.

Isabelle M.: I typically don't shop at Walmart, since I've only been there twice before, with the last visit taking place prior to the pandemic. Yesterday, I went to the Vancouver location after hearing that they had good mattress toppers in stock. However, I was stunned by the degradation of the store: it looked miserable, messy and dirty. All goods are now displayed on the shelves in cardboard boxes. The mattress toppers I was looking for were packaged in a way that allowed people to touch them, which does not meet Canadian health and safety standards. With the food that's sold in the store, I wouldn't be surprised if there were cockroaches hiding in the boxes.Therefore, I do not recommend buying anything at this location nor online.

W W: I feel like the staffs at this location presume everyone is a shoplifter. I have seen people being stopped before they left the stores or asked to see their receipts (random). When they didn't have enough staffs to 'watch' the checkout counters, they would open minimal numbers of checkout counters so causing a long lineup.What disgust me the most is that when you go to self checkout, there is a camera 'recording' your face while you checkout your items and pay. There is absolutely no privacy! Their price is not particular attractive and their produce is not very fresh, I don't see myself going there again if I have other choices.

They will sell the poorest quality products to you and are less than helpful in correcting for there wrong.Recently ordered a few pairs of headphones. They were Apple Earpods, supposed to be identical to the stock Apple Earbuds. The headphones I received, when plugged into my phone, were recognized as beatz headphones and required the use of my phones bluetooth even though they were plugged in through a wire. This is sketchy and misleading that they would sell these as iOS certified. After hours of time wasted contacting the support teams, I'm required to travel an hour back to Walmart to return them - INSTEAD of them just doing a proper quality check before selling these garbage electronics.Doubt I will receive a full refund. I will not trust shopping online at Walmart in the future.

Hundreds of dollars down the drain. There is no way they have that under control at the store, and I doubt they spray them at all.Save yourself days of headache trying to save your plants and never buy any plants from here EVER.

I was in a greenhouse worthy sweltering apartment at the time and this man was amazing. Along with his professionalism, he went full Dad mode, full of care and empathy, and treated me like family and pointed me in the right direction, and gave me hot tips how to get the most out of my A/C. D: Parking at this place is next to impossible!You must take a parking ticket when you arrive Try to find a parking spot in this very crammed and dark underground parkade Remember to present the ticket at the store checkout if you want to have the cost credited off your purchase Then don’t forget to pay for the parking at these inconspicuous machines in the underground parking area (that is if you still have the ticket and remember which pocket you put it in, otherwise be prepared to pay $25) Remember to retrieve your ticket from the machine and take it with you Find your car and drive out through the barriers which will only open if you insert a paid parking ticket.And heaven help you if you slipped up on any of the above procedure - you’ll be trapped in your car at the barrier gates unable to get out with horns honking behind you.On top of this, they have coated the floor of the parking area with this sticky paint that causes car tires to loudly screech on rainy days every time you turn the wheel. When the lot is busy, as it usually is, you need hearing protection to prevent your ears from being blasted with this multi-tire screeching sound that reverberates throughout this cavernous space.

David Palmer: If you take vitamins or are thinking to take vitamins, read this! It could save your health. Until recently, I would have given Body Energy Club 5 stars for uplifting appearance, great smoothies, and friendly staff. Unfortunately, I had a health scare as a result of the Vitamin & Supplement industry being unregulated. I had bought Men’s Chapter multivitamins for years which had been recommended by the staff and which provided the recommended daily allowance of many vitamins. That brand was discontinued and I was recommended to take Progressive Men’s multivitamins. I was also separately recommended to take a Vitamin B complex multivitamin. Unbeknownst to me, the higher amount of Vitamin B6, common to multivitamins and supplements, can be NEUROTOXIC. Vitamins often do not state the amount of vitamins they contain as a percent of RDA (recommended daily allowance) nor do they have warning labels. I was B6 toxic after taking 21mg a day for a few months. If I had been taking the recommended 3 multivitamin chewables daily as recommended with Progressive, I would have had been ingesting 35mg of Vitamin B6 daily - almost 27 times the recommended daily allowance. After only a few months, I started having hot flashes, burning skin sensations, pins and needles feelings, numbness in arms and legs, burning mouth sensation, dizziness, and a feeling that my arms and hands and lower legs were encased in static electricity. It is hard to imagine the terror this triggered in me and the amount of anxiety seeing the doctor and waiting for blood test results as these symptoms are often associated with long term nerve damage. Luckily, it seems I have a milder version and am recovering, but it is slow going and many others with B6 toxicity are in much worse situations. Search for Megavitamin B6 Syndrome or for B6 toxicity and see for yourself. B6 is not the only vitamin that can be toxic in the higher amounts commonly sold. Please do not blame the staff, as they have likely not been educated and may be at risk themselves. I am giving Body Energy Club 1 star as they are selling unsafe products, with no added warning labels to their product, no signs posted next to the vitamins with warnings, and a lack of education for their staff. I call upon Body Energy Club to do better and protect the health of their clients.

First of all I only went there because I had a discount on a smoothie with a purchase over $10, so I ended up buying two juices, lunch and specifically ordered a smoothie that has coconut water as I don’t drink the packaged milks and I was very dehydrated and needed the coconut water. While I was trying to place my order, one of the staff (a girl with strong accent who was making the smoothies) was going on and on about her personal life talking so loudly with the other staff who was trying to get my order. After I paid, I was waiting for my smoothie, she came to let me know they are out of coconut water and she can use milk instead. I told her I don’t drink any milk and specifically ordered because of the coconut water so she suggested she can use water instead! I understand that they were out of wholesale coconut water but she could use the little packaged ones they had on the shelves as she was letting me know after I made the payment! Anyways she just used water and after I finally got the smoothie it tasted terrible (too much protein powder) .. I could only taste the protein powder overcoming the fruits with water lol.. what a waste of money and time!

When I asked for directions, I was taken to the place where the plants were, and Olive, bless her heart, she actually loaded in my topsoil for me. Everyone was in a very customer service oriented mood, and it was a real pleasure to shop there. The choices of plants were abundant and they were all good quality. However, the prices have gone up quite substantially since last summer. It is still my “go to” place for home gardening materials.

And the ingredient was right in front of her all along…Probably won’t get an açaí bowl next time, just gonna stick to occasionally buying supplements.

Mai Baptiste: I’m a person of colour, I’m not sure if the service was because of this. Or because I don’t look like the type of person to frequent a body energy club and the location is in the DTES? I looked presentable enough, I had a face full of makeup and my hair was neat including by caucasian standards. I’m not sure, maybe my bright yellow TNA fanny pack is thief like, or maybe it was my ethnic features. While looking at the merchandise around the corner, I was approached once by an older white bald man in a kilt with a particularly bull-like septum piercing (I know septum piercings are often likened to bulls but this one was on the nose, no pun intended. I said no, I’m good (I’m happy looking at the bulk section in peace thanks). I then moved to the menu area to scan the menu and then order. Conscious not to stand so close to the cashier as to indicate I was ready. The cashier waved me over, and I said I was fine, still deciding. A few moments after, while I was clearly still staring at the menu. The same old bald man with the bull-like septum piercing and kilt came up to me, glanced at my phone screen then looked at me and said “When you’re ready to order we’ll help you over there” and pointed to the single cashier. I am not blind, I am not wearing glasses and I have made no assertion that I may need such direction. His behaviour and language made it seem as I was suspicious and unwelcome. I can’t imagine it to be anything other than how I looked. This had me second guessing whether I still wanted to order or not. But then wouldn’t I be proving the scottish man right? The other staff was generally friendly enough. Just the man in the kilt who seemed to be the ‘acting manager’. Gratuitous and obnoxious selfie included for reference :)

ulearn: One individual stood out among the rest - Scott, whose exceptional customer service skills shone through at Home Depot's Henning location.When I couldn't find the desired 24" x 48" corrugated plastic sheets due to their unavailability, Scott came to my rescue. Despite only having larger 48" x 96" sheets in stock, he willingly offered to cut one in half for me, even though I didn't have any tools with me. Scott's helpfulness was refreshing, especially after encountering three other unhelpful employees. As my young daughter astutely pointed out, Scott was the only staff member who made us feel truly welcome.The management team at Home Depot should acknowledge and appreciate employees like Scott, as his outstanding customer service sets an example for his peers to follow.

I approached the paint counter and asked to get my paint matched and she responded with “what” in a snotty tone. Another employee immediately stepped in and was able to help quickly.The second time I purposely avoided her and went to a different associate asking for a paint match. She was a little confused with my request but don’t worry Edi interjected with her condescending tone to make sure I was not helped. Everyone at this store has been great over the years. I spent a lot of time here as a contractor, but going forward I’d be getting my paint somewhere else.

I was politely greeted by Jacky and Marnie as I entered the store and both offered to help me pick out a protein powder. They offered me a small sample of the isolate and whey options before I purchased one. I also learned that if you spend over $25 you get a half off smoothie. And the store also has a good return policy. I will be back in the future.

Usually when I’ve been in I’m greeted but I came in and the young girl was just finishing up a smoothie for another woman but saw me and didn’t acknowledge me. I said “hello” and she came over but then said “Oh just a sec” and went and stood by the bar while the other guy also saw me and continued to work on the fridge under the counter cleaning it. I waited a few minutes and asked if I could order but still wasn’t acknowledged, so I left because I only had so much time on my break left. Disappointed and won’t be back again.. management needs to work on this with their employees and also being more quick and efficient when making drinks. The othertimes I had been in before there was never a hurry to get out drinks to the customer and it’s frustrating …

The person did find what I asked for, however it wasn't what I needed as I mentioned it didn't look right. He then told me that I need a compression style and then stood off to the side for a minute before walking away. I get that I made an error in what I requested but the worker could have helped me find the correct piece once it was identified. I was not able to find the correct piece and left without making a purchase. I will not go back unless there is no other option.

My review is based upon my experience with poor customer service.Some background information: on May 10, 2022, I purchased a vertical storage shed from your location. Due to recent bylaw changes, I was required to remove the shed, and the receipt noted that the 90 day return policy ended on August 8, 2022.On April 26, 2023 at 1:44PM, I phoned your location and spoke with a woman who spoke fluent English explaining my situation and asked if I could still return the shed for store credit. This woman agreed and informed me that I can bring the shed back to the Richmond location and the on site staff will assist me with returning the shed for store credit. When I asked this woman for her name, she refused to do so and stated that I won't need it, and that any available staff can help me.Two days later, after spending a considerable amount of time and effort to rent a truck and asking my family members to help me transport the shed to your store, my request to return the shed for store credit was rudely declined by assistant manager Sharif.My dissatisfaction is not from not being able to return the shed, but due to being misled by staff, followed by being treated rudely after spending two days organizing to transport the shed, and also having my time and effort wasted. Had your employee been clear on the phone about not being able to provide an exchange for credit, I would not have gone through so much trouble and spent additional resources to transport the shed.Please properly educate your employees. Their actions demonstrates either ignorance or dishonesty, and reflects poorly on your company brand.Thank you,

I am super impressed with this store and I am so grateful that this store has some amazing people working there. this store was outstanding with their customer care and trained just so well. Whenever I’ve come here for whatever product I find the staff very helpful, the prices are much cheaper than other places and they have a huge selection.Now that the garden works store in North Vancouver is closed I came here and discovered that they have the BEST prices on their huge selection of pots, flowers, soil etc.They do need to change their entrance though. For those with disabilities it’s a huge pain to go all the way around to one entrance. It makes more sense to have multiple entrances to welcome people into the store.

I called the store last Friday, Faye took the call and the cartridge was out of stock, so she said she will follow up with me when the cartridge is in. Surely, she notified me about the cartridge availability 6 days later. So I picked up the cartridge the same day, in talking to her at the store, I found she is also very knowledgeable about the products. Faye demonstrated true excellent customer service in going an extra mile for me. I recommend her and home depot store at West Vancouver. Thank you, Faye!

Cascadia is based in Surrey.The duo who were to deliver our dryer was 30+ minutes late. When I answered the door I noticed the gentleman was not wearing a mask and not following Home Depot mandated and advertised COVID protocols. I asked him to get his mask whereupon he stated he had, "lost" his. I insisted he go back to the truck and, "find" his which he grudgingly did. As it had been raining all day I asked him to remove his shoes before entering our home. His partner who had brought the dryer to our door mumbled something and decided just to enter, dirty shoes and all. He then looked to see how to install the hoses and vent for the steam dryer.This second obstinate gentleman stated that according to the, "contract" the vent had to be brand new. I showed him the box and the bill from Home Depot attesting to the brand-newness of the vent. He then said the clamps for the vent also had to be brand new. I looked into the vent kit, but could not find any clamps. He then stated that according to his contract he would be liable if brand new clamps were not used. As it was useless to reason with him I simply stated I would attach the vent using my old clamps.He then looked at the hoses to connect to the steam dryer. To make things easier I had already attached all the hoses except to the steam dryer. He repeated that all the connecting hoses had to be brand new - according to this contract. I asked to see the contract with all these provisos, but he said I should phone the President of Cascadia and of Home Depot to get the details. I showed him the newly purchased steam kit from Home Depot.As he was finding every obtuse reason NOT to do any installations, I asked him to leave. This duo did absolutely nothing but deliver the dryer -30 minutes late. They did nothing but offer excuses, and I basically bought all the parts and installed my own steam dryer.

Enid Cardoz: Although I live in Richmond I like shopping at the Home Depot at Strawberry Hill. The staff there are very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. We were shopping for a 40 gallon gas hot water tank. On the Home Depot website it says Free In House Consultation.Last evening I put all the details and this morning we received an email requesting details and photographs of the hot water tank and they would send us quote. We had to shop for a gas water tank, so went to the store. We saw one we like and we called the person and when she spoke to us she said she would send us a quote. Now at this point we realize that Home Depot does not do the installation, it is a 3rd party. Then she says once the installer comes if we need any electrical out it would be extra. I told her Home Depot advertises Free In Home Consult. Isn't that the reason why a person should come home. She said they don't do that. The quote was ridiculously high and it was consolidated. No break down and the extras would be more. No Thank You. RONA here we come. Proper breakdown and charges etc.
