Jonathan Chawla: Tracie remembered my name the second time I was at class. Great community!
Solène Prud'homme: Amazing dance school in Vancouver for salsa bachata kizomba! I took kizomba classes with Tracie & Cesar last year and they were just amazing! I learnt a loooot with them and I miss those classes so much. Also took some bachata lady styling classes with Krystal, loved her dancing style, and learning a routine as solo, which helps a lot for confidence on the dance floor. Also they have the best socials in town, with 3 rooms (salsa, bachata, kiz) Looking forward to going back there when I’ll be in Vancouver again 💜
Jessica Villavicencio: I love their classes👏🏾 salsa, bachata and reggaeton🔥 I find all instructors super friendly
Fraser McGee: Welcoming atmosphere with great instructors. Tracie is an awesome teacher- she’s both fun and committed to helping the pupils in her class learn and improve. Very positive experience with this studio
ozan ateşmen: Wowww absolutely fantastic dance studios, they are so talented and Tracie , she is wonderful instructor, I love you ❤️
Reagan Bradley: Karima was everything we needed in a dance teacher for our wedding dance. She customized a dance to our personalities and skill level and made every moment learning it total fun. The end product was gorgeous and everyone’s highlight of the night! Forever thankful for this Bollywood QUEEN!

Brandon Thornhill: The Baza Dance crew are all AWESOME! So inclusive and welcoming to people of all levels. We LOVE our dance classes!
Karen Swaffield: This is a very welcoming and friendly dance studio. The Latin Fusion class is awesome. Salsa lessons with Wayne & Kristal are also a lot of fun.
Two Sheds: Robson free dance had not enough follows so some of us had to watch from the sidelines until we left from humiliation.
Flora Gordon: Baza is a great dance studio. They are very friendly to beginners as well as those who may not be able to come to the studio frequently. I have taken Zouk, Salsa, Latin Grooves, and Latinsanity. I enjoyed them all!
Nat Pliner: I’ve just started classes at Baza Dance with John and Celina and they have been so much fun! The studio has a really positive and safe environment and everyone I’ve interacted with has been incredibly helpful and friendly. I haven’t always felt the same with instructors at other studios so I’m really glad I signed up at Baza. Also appreciate that there is an option to take a bachata class that is not immediately over sensual and that some Dominican bachata moves are sprinkled in!
Stephen Smith: I had such an amazing experience at this dance studio. I've been taking Latin Dance classes for over 15 years, at multitudes of different studios from countless teachers -- so it is not without comparison when I say that the instruction at this studio is world class! Jorelle , Monica, and Kristal were such amazing dancers AND teachers. It's one thing to dance well, but to be able to break steps apart and explain thoroughly, that's another. I had some major breakthroughs with my dancing here! Also, the vibe was extremely welcoming and kind. Much love for Baza Dance Studios!
Shanda L: Love this place for bachata and salsa! Always friendly and inviting. I recommend this place if you want to learn how to dance You will be dancing in no time!
Leanna Boyer: I am thrilled that Baza is offering virtual classes, otherwise I would not have access to high quality, fun instruction!!
Lydia Klemensowicz: I've fallen in love with dance classes again thanks to Baza! I've been attending Latin Pop with Lauren since January and I feel so good in class - I literally look forward to Monday evenings every week! I love the choregraphy style class and Lauren is an amazing, energetic and approachable teacher. Her classes are very beginner friendly, but also a bit of a challenge - and tons of fun and laughs are had along the way!
Karen Lee: I’ve been trying various dance studios for the last few months. Thank Gawd I found Baza! It is a safe and welcoming environment, especially for beginners.Jojo and Clement give me life!
Rebeca Hatamian: We love Baza Dance Studios!!My son is 5 yrs old and is very entusiastic about going to dance class! His confidence has improve and his joy of life overall.. priceless! Now is learning to follow instructions and follow a choreography :)
Ala Wroblewska: Taking a beginner level class and I'm really enjoying the format and vibe. Can't recommend the instructors and class enough!
Suzanne Rushton: I love Baza!! I've been only three times so far but the classes have all been a delightful blend of fun, learning and community. The instructors, Javier and Carla, are AMAZING. I can't say enough about how great they are with beginners (like me) but also at working with varying levels of students. They are true professionals, they kept us on track but also kept us laughing. They have really made dancing seem accessible to me. I'm excited to continue the journey!
Arash Khodadadi: Well-maintained dance studio and friendly staff. Enjoyed the beginner Salsa dance class with John as drop-ins. Later we signed up for more classes with Arely and the classes were super good and strongly recommended for whoever starts Salsa.

Garnik Giloyan: In 2022, I attended Roger's party at Science World. I met a women there who convinced me to take lessons with Roger at Granville 927. I was initially skeptical but started in September 2022 and fell in love with the atmosphere and Roger's teaching style. In the beginning I was terrible with basics however Roger's team member helped me with the basics steps. Salsa and Bachata quickly became a part of my life, and I never missed any social or duello party. I highly recommend joining Roger's classes in Vancouver; he is a fantastic teacher, and his team is always willing to help. When I return to Vancouver, I will definitely rejoin his classes. Cheers, Garnik.
Ash Taba: I took all the three beginner courses. The instructor has no sense of respect, I regret going to his classes and events. There are much better dance studios in Downtown Vancouver with professional instructors. Don’t waste your time and money just for a few bucks cheaper classes.
Chad Neufeld: Signed up for 6 sessions and only attended 2. The "beginner" Salsa instruction was extremely fast paced, the instructor covered one movement for about a minute or two, then we were to implement said movement to music for a few minutes with multiple partners, then it was on to the next movement, regardless if you had grasped the concept. They have a class size of about 60+participants and 1 instructor (2 if you count the instructors partner) which leaves no time for individual help. They pump classes in and out in under an hour, and make their profit from the sheer volume and very imbalanced instructor to student ratio. Furthermore the instructor would single people out who were struggling and insult them or poke fun at them(thinking his rudeness was comedic perhaps?). I was thoroughly disappointed by this experience, as I came to learn and have fun but the environment was not optimally conducive to either.
Lilit Hovhannisyan: Best place to dance Bachata and Salsa! ❤️❤️ Rogers an amazing teacher!!!!!
Karen de la O: Amazing vibes, amazing people and a friendly environment.Great music to dance and a amazing place to enjoy music and friends.❤️🙏🏼🕺🏽💃🏻One of my fave place to dance 🔥
Bill Shao: Awesome place to take Bachata and Salsa lessons. Staff is very friendly. Lots of people you can meet. Socials and parties are amazing. Would definitely recommend.
satya walker: Amazing place to start your Latin dance journey! Roger throws the best social dances :) Classes are very beginner friendly and he keeps you super engaged and always leaving wanting more! If you’ve been thinking about trying out dancing (even with no experience) I 100% recommend Rogers classes :))
Oles Andrienko: Roger’s classes and socials are the best. He manages to make things fun yet challenging to make sure you improve every class. Highly recommend.
Paul Lee: Great teacher, great people, great music. Roger is great at teaching every detail of a move. The social dance after class is THE place to be.
Tyler Nagel: Moves along way to quickly for intermediate and novice level members. This mixing of talent between expert and and the newcomers makes it very overwhelming.
Greg Dombowsky: Great dance studio. Roger is a great instructor and his classes are always fun and informative. Monday is Salsa night and Thursday is Bachata night. the music is always great too.
N. PComplete: Less a review of the instruction so much as the community. I can't speak to the male population but I had the pleasure of dancing with a dozen ladies who are very accomplished and the atmosphere seemed very friendly. If I had to nit pick the instruction I'd say there could be more watch and think rather than just follow along. That said, the real measure of any instructor is the community they build and on that they seem to have succeeded.
Troy Tyrell: It was great.
mydogdeli: Roger’s classes are great! He explains and demonstrates clearly with skilled partners. Between demos, even though he has lots of participants, he and his partner are willing to step in and give personal help to the students. Highly recommended.
Sameer Shah: A friend recommended that I try roger’s open house event: something that he hosts for free in every 6 weeks for people to try out his classes. - and there has been no turning back ever since! Not only does he have immense experience and knowledge in both salsa and bachata, but his way of teaching and delivering the classes is something that one should not miss! He just so happens to also organize some of the best known dancing events in all of British columbia. Been learning under roger’s excellence since February 2022, and highly recommend taking his class or a social! Time flies by fast when you’re dancing, it has all been worth it though.
Omar Serry: The best dance socials/events in town. Duello and all socials organized by Roger are great dance socials you will always want to go to. Roger, Raquel and Negar are all great instructors to learn from. Personally speaking, they are great friends too :)
Ju VSE: Be aware in advance if you're a man/boy or otherwise identify as male. The event host Roger charges men 12 bucks to enter his dance parties, whereas he only charges women 8 bucks, because put bluntly, he's a simp. Only beta boys need to use such discriminatory tactics to bait females into joining their events. How far we've come with gender equality in 2022!
Ramin Ziko: I've been going to studio for a while and Roger has helped me to get better at dancing. He run top class events in town and helps beginners or advanced to get to next level. Thanks for all good work Roger
Sara Amini: Simply the best way to get acquainted with latin dance/community in Vancouver! And since Roger offers free open houses for both salsa and bachata you've got nothing to lose!I started at an open house for bachata in August 2021 and was hooked after my very first day! I enrolled in salsa and bachata and dancing took over my life. I love the community and the nights out beat any other events in Vancouver. As for the classes, they are fun and a great way to meet people. Roger teaches you moves you can use on the dance floor. The best way to practice is to attend his socials, usually on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Duello is my most favourite of all!Thank you Roger for introducing me to the beautiful world of latin dancing! 💃🏽
Shahram Fazel: Do you need fun? Would you like to learn how to dance? Do you like Salsa or Bachata? Do you have lake of energy? Wold you like to meet the best dance teacher? Then your answer is Mr Roger. Please join SalsaStudio and meet him.
Nayna Shetty: I've been attending the beginner lessons with Roger since summer last year and I've had a terrific experience so far. Roger introduces new moves in every lesson and explains them in a humorous/easy to understand way. I also highly recommend his social events as they're a great practice platform for beginners and offer ample opportunities to connect with like minded people from the Latin dancing community in Vancouver.
